Previously: Cerulean arrived upon a mysterious island after a mission to rescue shipwrecked personnel had gone awry due to mysterious humanoid monsters.

Meeting the natives, Cerulean found aid in the form of a humanoid monster by the name of Kurojo, a tusked Kahkori of Kakarkiko island.

With his and his uncle's help, she had been reunited with Marine, her friend from training and childhood.

After killing a fierce foe reviled by Kahkori, Cerulean fell ill, and was given a cure by Kurojo. In the village, she learned of a strange ability and found herself able to utilize "Aura."

Journeying with Kurojo, Cerulean and Marine make it to the joint city of races amongst the island chain. It is there in Raguna city that she fights to the death with a rambunctious Smolderan.
Slipping out of her right mind, she executes her foe with absolute certainty, earning her some recognition with a Smolderan leader and the right to engage in a hunting exam at his request.

Cerulran takes a test with another species known as the Araraki, an infallibly polite and timid representative of her people.
Upon completing the hunt, they are put through a naming ceremony and engage in some festivities, taking a somewhat heavier turn as Akabaron, Vi-Smohkan of the Smolderan, goes over his deal with Cerulean.

Charter the construction of a boat with Kurojo's aid...

Outside, the Araraki's not all that far away, sitting at the entrance with her back turned in protest.

“What want?” She's a fair bit more direct than usual, likely a result of being choked. It's strange for her to be so defensive though.

“Wanted to make sure you were okay... And you didn't run, did you?”

She doesn't respond to that. “Still want to go home? Glass City?”

“I... Don't know anymore...” Marine looks at you with surprise in her eyes, you return with a painful smile, a disarming giggle.

The Araraki's head inclines a bit,”Better if know. We would like it... If you could be friends...”

“Thought were before?” Marine's Raguna is even worse than the Araraki's.

She doesn't reply, only a tilt of her head, and her tail wrapping around her seated body.

You decide to put this back on topic, “What did you bring back?” You can see the alarm in her body and spirit as you say that. Slowly, but surely, she looks in your general direction.

“Nothing. Go away.” She cuts you off, looking forward again, or rather, away from the two of you.

The Araraki is hiding something... And it's likely that she won't give it up easily.

“Marine, help me down,” You pat your friend with your good arm, and she assists you with slinking down upon a support of the dugout's entrance. The Araraki looks to you from a side-hole of her skeletal mask, closes her eyes and begins to rise.
“Wait.” You say, reaching out with your good arm and nearly losing your balance, “I just want to talk.”

She hesitates, “What to say?”

“Well.” You hold back any accusations for now. She's not in the mood, and you're not in a good condition to chase her if she decides to leave. “Do you want to know about where we're from? The Glass city?””

“Why?”

“Because you might understand why... Well... Why we need to go back.” That stabs you in the heart a little bit. The part of you that wants to go back, that's the part that hurt Jojo... You swallow and she seems to take notice of your hesitation.

She sets herself before you, squatting, a deal of her shyness gone, that surreal politeness evaporated. “What change?”

“I'm sorry?”

“Tell later. Speak of dome.”

You tell the Araraki about your childhood. About your mother and how you grew up in Cerulean. You explain to her how the quarters are separated and that Cerulean handled the water, caught fish, and worked on boats.
Marine adds in the lake, and how fun it was to go swimming.

“Oh, one day. Monster get in... Shoot our friend Aqua with water. He lose eye. He okay now, he get staryu put in.” Marine gives a bittersweet smile as she recollects the memory, thinking of home now, it turns into a frown.

The Araraki leers at you and Marine, not making eye contact persay, but staring at you just as intently,”Put... in?”
>>
>>33073485
It's a good thing Marine is still bad at speaking the language. Easily recoverable.

>>
>>33073640
Yes, I know this. But don't lie please. lying is bad.
>>
>>33073710
That was Marine.
>>
You get a bad feeling, and cut of the tangent, “Yeah, he survived. Really scared though. Oh, and we are hunters there. We're trained to protect our people, it's part of why we need to go back.

The Araraki blinks, yet nods to that, “Yes, not all people can protect themselves... But you.” She looks away, hoisting herself up to standing and shaking her body limber like an animal. “You protect bad people. Protect bad, bad guardian. Protect good, good guardian...” She looks back to you,”White, you good guardian, or bad guardian?”

Your head drop as much as your heart. Even though you don't know her that well... even though she should know barely anything about the dome... She keeps trying. Is it because she's right and you're wrong? Or is she just trying to turn you away from the dome?

The other girl was going to kill Kurojo before because he was a monster, right?

Why do you feel like the bad guy? Are you the bad guy?

Then she'll tell everybody available that we're skinwalkers, and we'll either have to convince the entire village and our acquaintances here that we're not bad, or we'll have to kill everybody on the island to keep it down.
>>
“There are good and bad people from where I'm from... Why- how could you call them all bad if you don't even know them? That's like what the smolder and Kahkori do to Araraki, isn't it?” You speak the words, but your heart isn't all there with them. Between your doubts, and your pain, you're still uncertain.

“Good can kill. Bad know not to stop. Elder say glass city people did bad things.”

“What like?” Marine asks, finally feeling a part of the conversation.

“They make animal fight animal. Kill whole forest, mountain, ocean. Fight each other like Smolder, drive away the world Serebyi.”

“You keep mentioning Serebyi, but how could anything drive away a god?” You ask.

She turns fully, her tail brushing away loose earth in its low hang. The eyes beneath her mask are sad and passionate, “Serebyi peace. Ones like Smolder war and burn. Tales of glass the same. What it like... Outside city?”

You recall the fields of ash. The area outside the dome where the land is regularly burned back by the Cinnabar. It's just for safety though... But, yeah. Nothing lives there. Not for a couple miles around the perimeter of the dome.

You don't say anything and she takes it as admission. “Glass City... It is bad. Bad for the world. Smolder bad. Even Tuskless Kahkori try to keep balance. It why we live in Raguna. It why Smolder live on bad land.” She looks over into the night, a breeze passing the residual scent of burnt wood. “Smolder destroy. Elder say glass destroy too.”

“Wait. Wait second.” Marine holds her hands up for a pause. She turns to you, “Hey Ceru, this is getting pretty heavy. Want me to help you just get to bed?”

Though, do tell the araki that we don't live with nature, but we don't destroy the whole thing either.

There -are- great and terrible wildlands outside of the safe areas of the dome. Most everything is poison.
And anything we burn, grows back almost immediately.

They are of the Dome and influential leaders within it, however.
>>
>>33074594
I just thought of it, but we should ask how she lives with the wild without hurting it.

Because, you know, living with the wild is a recipe to get murdered by poison bugs as far as we know, so that would be handy information.
>>
It annoys me that we won't discover what she was hiding now. Whenever talk about the dome happens, she takes control of the talking and whatever Ceru has to say falls on deaf ears. She doesn't care that the Dome does what is hecessary for survival.

Next time, can we please stop trying to be friends with her and just press her to reveal what she's hiding? Because fuck, now we won't know what she was doing in the fight.
>>
>[X] “Yeah, Marine... I'm tired...but let me talk with her first."
Yeah, you know what? Fuck that noise. If all you're gonna argument is "But it's bad! M-Muh Elders said so!" then you can go back to find "Serebyi"'s dick to suck. We do not possess the authority to make judgement calls representing our culture and homeland, morality discussions are not of our concern, which is getting back to the Dome. Don't like it, glad to know you don't, but we don't need your approval to go back. Now, I swear to Arceus, I swear by my mum Lorelei, if what you're hiding are our indexes because you stole them, things are gonna get ugly.

Like what this anon said, there's nothing wrong with clearing the area around the Dome. It's not as if the area is destroyed without reason; it's just to stop monsters from settling nearby. There's a balance of life within the Dome and destruction around it. Of course, none of this really matters to the Araraki since they seem to be complete fanatics.

It's really annoying how you write Cerulean's thoughts in these scenes, Prof, when NO ONE here actually agrees or is convinced by the Araraki. There's a limit to how much you can force away the MC's thoughts from the thoughts everyone else has. Especially when no one shares it.

Stop trying to feed your godsdamned propaganda, and I have a good reason to suspect you stealing our shit, being more skittish than usual, not joining the fight, and regardless of it being our indexes or not, what the hell do you have hidden in your cunt? Fuck this, I just wanna go sleep and get back home, my REAL home, but you wouldn't understand since you got culturally enriched by the Kahkoris, toiling as slaves and despised by others races. Go suck on a branch, cunt.

>[] Retire to bed, you're tired of this
>>33075392
This too.

It's like you've been acting out an SJW fantasy, Prof. It's annoying to read.

We've seen the Dome ourselves. We know there's nothing "unbalanced" at all about the people's lifestyle. Burning the perimeter is completely fine and the only reason the Araraki is upset is because the plants are getting hurt.
>>
>>33075328
We're too tired for much more of this. Our home isn't bad though, araki. We just have a lot of weak people, who can't live in the wild like you want.
>>
>>33075469
No need to mention that a lot of our people are "weak". We don't want that piece of information going around.
>>
>>33075486
well, how do you want to say it then?
>>
>>33075494
Just say that we protect our weak.

Yes...let's go to bed and do nothing to change her mind, or improve the situation, while letting Ceru's doubts worsen. Surely that will acco plish so much.

>[] Accuse the Araraki of stealing your indexes.
>>
>>33075501
well, the point remains the same. The woods are dangerous, and people die in them semi-regularly.
>>
>>33075434
>>33075328

Pretty much this. We can't let her go with the last word, and wanting to talk things over later will result in nothing. Because there won't be another chance for this.
>>
Let's plan to ask araki in plain monsterish with kurojo nearby if she had anything to do with the indexes dissapearing, once we're better.

We'll use our full aura powers to hopefully see if she's lying.
>>
>>33075328
Go to sleep but say we'll talk later.

This isn't over.
>>
>>33075328

Fuck going to sleep, that is the same thing as admitting defeat and achieving nothing.
>>
>>33075595
>talk later

And then, the araraki runs away or hides the indexes (if she has them).

If there is one thing I've learned in quests, is that the QM only gives one chance to do something important at the time. Specially QMs of Ygg's caliber (not saying its bad, prof)

Eh, it's how things work in quests, anon. You should know that now.

And besides, there was opportunity to address the matters we wanted to, but noooooo, let's reveal information about the dome and get in another childish argument and end up not talking about what we wanted to.

>Press on what the Araraki were doing during the hunt

>>
>>33075765
It's because of Prof, really. He's really mucking it up by not even letting Ceru have a word in and controlling her thoughts. Seriously, this is pretty scummy of him. It's no wonder why so many people want to cut ties off with the Araraki now, since Prof just keeps forcing more and more "character development" no one wants onto us.
>>
>>33075328

>>
>>33075792

Hah, no, anon. No other chances will come. And every, every fucking talk with this character goes in the same direction and is about the same thing now.
>>
>>33075848

>>
>>33075811

See >>33075848

And well, should have picked a better option than talk about the dome then. You know, try to bond using something she doesn't fanatically considers evil?
>>
>>33075848
No one said Prof couldn't have some control over her personality to keep in consistent.

The problem, however, is that Prof won't let anyone else influence the character. This isn't a matter of being a schizo. The majority here are united in character direction except for Prof.

Defend him as much as you wish, but that won't change this fact. Prof is just masturbating to his own literary prose at this point.
>>
>>33075844

>>
>>33075915

>>33075934

No, the problem is that /tg/ built a moeblob with a spine of steel that has a critical weakpoint in her friends.

We call the Araraki a friend. Her lectures hits us hard without Giovanni or Rockets as backup. To ignore how much the lecture hurts is schizophrenia.
>>
>>33075970
Not with the way Prof has been doing things. Even here
>>33074594

Except we've already provided reasons why Ceru has no reason to think that way.

The Araraki is obsessed with plants to a fanatical level.

The Dome is not destroying everything like the Smolder, after all. It's to keep monsters away.

Hey whats going on in this thread

I have an application on my desktop programed to ping me and link me to a post every time someone on /tg/ mentions the word "SJW" so I can derail the thread, but this isn't a politics thread at all. It's a quest.

Someone explain to me very briefly what everyone's complaining about and how SJWs are involved so I can figure out whether or not I need to troll future threats.
>>
>>33076306
>a critical weakpoint in her friends
Yes, what of them? The Araraki is accusing all of her friends at the Dome of being 'bad'. The reasoning being that she doesn't know any of them. Which is a major point against the Araraki, who is not a friend. Just someone Ceru has known for two days in total.
>>
>>33076323
>Both are kind of right.
That is true. But the decision for how to think was taken away from us by the Prof, which is what people are getting angry about. He's been doing this for a while and he's becoming more and more blatant.

>>
While everyone's shitting on Ygg again, I'm still bothered by Rocket Mode.

Prof, what makes RM Ceru recognize something as a monster?
>>
>>33076313
To us, no.
To Ceru, yes. And that's a disconnect between jaded players and the idealistic MC. To make the MC take the jaded players view without sufficient leading (ie. asking her about the fight again) is schizophrenia. We need a bigger reason to cut ties.
>The Araraki is accusing all of her friends at the Dome of being 'bad'.
ceru.exe attempting to understand arguments of friends arguing against friends...

Ceru called her a friend in-game.

And with our dome friends, we know they can be a bit dodgy like Devon and Lilac
>>
Here's the issue I'm having with 75% of the "What dos" for Ceru.

None of it is in context with who she is and what she thinks.

Ceru is

>Soft
>Friendly
>Dutiful
>Caring
And currently
>Shellshocked
>Is in constant pain.
>Suffering from recent trauma from nearly shooting someone who's only ever been good to her, and is a newly dear friend.

I'm going to have to start minimizing the window so I can write faster.
>>
>>33076422
We've only known the Araraki for two days. There's no reason to have a strong emotional attachment to her. We approached her because she looked like she needed help. Possibly because we felt sorry for her race getting discriminated at too.

There's no reason why she should have any extra power in convincing Ceru of anything.

We also called her a friend IC because that's what we wanted to be with her. That does not mean she's suddenly more important to us than anyone else in our life or that she becomes more convincing.
>>
>>33076282
the blame game solves nothing so just drop it
>>
>>33076463
What do you think the "what do's" are?

Simply put, the core of the issue is how easily she's following whatever the Araraki has to say. Why? None of the things you've listed are reasons for why we should believe her.

I know you want to push hard for Ceru feeling bad about her "Rocket mode", but that has nothing to do with how she feels towards the people of the Dome.

>>
>>33076491
>There's no reason to have a strong emotional attachment to her.
Since when was emotional attachments logical? Ceru's all about forming attachments. This was a flaw chosen by /tg/ at character gen.
>That does not mean she's suddenly more important to us than anyone else in our life
Yes.
>or that she becomes more convincing.
No.
>>33076551
The obvious solution is to fire back with an emotional appeal of our own.
>>33076601
It means her brain is tired of making logical arguments. Use emotional ones or go to bed.
>>
>>33076463
Prof. Don't be a douche. That doesn't justify you forcing all of these 'developments'. You cannot honestly tell us that you're completely right and that Ceru can't ever think of anything else aside from what you've written without recognizing how horribly you're strangling the character, can you?
>>
>>33076463

Lashing out violently is a possible reaction to so much stress. Remember Prof, the nicest people can be the worst people when they have a breakdown.

>>
>>33076625
>Since when was emotional attachments logical? Ceru's all about forming attachments. This was a flaw chosen by /tg/ at character gen.
Our flaw is that we try to be peaceful at first.

That does not relate to the Araraki's ability to convince us of anything, but to her ability to hurt Ceru's feelings. You're not forced to believe everything your friends say, after all.
>>
>>33076463
>Prof continuing to be a faggot
>>
>>33076463
The thing is, that shouldn't make us willing to condemn EVERY person from the Dome, and the more you deny that, the angrier the players get as backlash because they feel they're being ignored.
>>
>>33076463
Here's the issue I'm having with 100% of your justifications.

You keep acting like you're the only one ever allowed to interpret them.

Prof, there have been many times where I thought your characters were awkward or acting inappropriately. I overlooked them because I just enjoy the adventure. So let me tell you that you're not a perfect judge for characters.
>>
>>33076463
Sure. Continue to ignore everyone's arguments. You ALWAYS do that. Every time you do something wrong, you never admit to making any mistake.

You never learn, Prof. Not even when people tell you as nicely as possible what you're doing wrong. All you ever think about is replying to the guys who shout and get angry at you with a stonewall face and a "reasons" that are supposed to justify everything you do.
>>
>>33076659
Moelizard has the zeal of a person believing that they're doing this for Ceru's own good while being a friend to Ceru. That nets her a lot of points when mentally fatigued. We must strike back with an emotional appeal of our own.>>33076691
>that shouldn't make us willing to condemn EVERY person from the Dome
When have we considered that? We're having trouble thinking of ways to tell her she's wrong while being tired. Logic won't do it, therefore bring out an emotional appeal with the work Bruce and our mother are doing.
>>
>>33076463
We've told her multiple times why we need to get back to the Dome, all she does is repeat her little mantra of the "glass city being evulz", at this point, you're just using her to inject your forced opinions on the playerbase. Also, on the previous fight, why the fuck include Rocket Mode as an option if you're just gonna make us burn Tenacity and back out after picking it? Did you just do it because "m-muh shounen super powered evil mode"? Fuck this bullshit.

Also, notice how he inconspicuously doesn't include
>in love with Jojo
on that post? Next comes his "justified" excuse of "he's the only native Ceru trusts ever since she's washed up on the island, also a foreigner, of course little teenage Ceru will fall heads over heels for him!" Fuck off with your forced pairing.

First you try to railroad us into staying on your islands instead of advancing plot and getting back to the Dome and now this?
>>
>>33076751
WHY would it net her lots of points?

Again, all she can do is hurt Ceru's feelings. She can't convince her of anything. Especially not with how stupid all her arguments have been.
>>
>>33076771
>why the fuck include Rocket Mode as an option if you're just gonna make us burn Tenacity
>Why include options that will get players killed in any game ever?
>>33076816
>Again, all she can do is hurt Ceru's feelings.
MUH FEELINGS is the main way to convince Ceru of anything, and she was built that way. This is why I stayed away from AOPH so long.
>>
>>33076816
So how about we start crying because she's calling our Mom and friends evil and won't stop and we're too tired and in pain to form an argument?
>>
>>33076852
>MUH FEELINGS is the main way to convince Ceru of anything, and she was built that way. This is why I stayed away from AOPH so long.
It's never been that way. All it does is net some sympathy, but no one has ever convinced Ceru to think of anything with just FEELINGS. In fact, it's only the Araraki who's been trying to convince us to think of anything.
>>
>>33076771

You know we could simply have excluded JoJo and Nala from RM Ceru's vision, instead of wasting tenacity and cancel Rocket Mode.

Or, you know...not have slipped into Rocket Mode at all. That was an option too.
>>
oh, hey look. we had a nice little streak there of actually thought out posts, and then back to people caling prof a shit and raging. wheee.
>>
>>33076889
The argument that's getting people angry is that Ceru's being forced to think a certain way. FORCED. There is no reason why Ceru should have only thought that way, except that Prof FORCED it and is acting as if he's a perfect judge of character.
>>
>>33076893
She came in after we nearly killed Jojo thanks to training from the Dome. MUH FEELINGS always helps people to convince or manipulate Ceru.

>>
>>33077130
It's not about flash, anon. It's about how poorly the fight progressed.

Prof never gave an opportunity for the fight to actually 'advance'. All his fights are like that, with 99% of the text basically portraying the monster as being completely fine and the last 1% having them be completely taken down from a perfect condition.

Multiple "new" readers here have commented on how bad Prof's fights are even before people started criticizing his writing harder.

Which relates to this. He did think we should have done more. We couldn't have done more because of his writing.
>>
“Yeah, I'm tired Marine... But there is something I'd like to ask first...” You look to the Araraki, the dark of night penetrated by your feline eyes and the low light pouring out of the dugout.
“How do you live without harming the land? You have to do something to make a living right? Like the Kahkori and Smolder?”

The Araraki appears thoughtful to the question, her eyes focusing a bit hard, “We return. Give back. Only take what need. Some Araraki forget. We listen to elder.”

“But what if your elder's wrong? What if things have changed since those stories?”

“Have they?” The Araraki begins to leave, for the woods, threatening to disappearing into the same shadows that a narga-kage now burned and bloodied once crept within.

“Wait! I wanted to ask you where you went. What's that blood?”

The Araraki doesn't turn around, “We return in morning. We sorry.” As usual, her words are sincere. And again she's apologizing, but you don't know what for.

“If you don't tell me why you ran away, I don't think we can hunt anymore.”

The Araraki stops, “That fine. We find our own way home.”
She leaves into the wood alone, yet you feel like the bad guy. Why does she make you feel like the bad guy? You haven't done anything wrong... But you almost killed Jojo. You squeeze your left hand, biting your lip. What would you have done if you killed one of your friends again... Wait, again?

You feel Marine's hands move to pick you up, startling you out of your thoughts, “C'mon Ceru, you should get to bed. I'll stay up for her. I want to know why she left too but I can't really blame her.”

“But...” You protest with a whimper.

“But nothing Ceru! C'mon.”

Marine helps you inside, the pain and exhaustion wearing on you. Nala nods, acknowledging your presence, Kurojo's already asleep.
>>
>>33077255
>We chose to think and act that way ourselves.
And thus you railroaded yourselves into making that a standard Ceru action, until something came along that would convince the character to never do that again.

Like, say, this incident.
>>
Next hunt, when we're not going for an assassin monster, I propose we spend a while watching the thing, learning how it lives, and figuring out its weaknesses with probing attacks.
>>
>>33077288
Why is it "more than we deserved"?

You keep ignoring the fact that it was Prof who said it was a battle that could be won. We didn't even know Nala would be with us.
>>
You slide carefully into bed beside him, your eyes already pretty heavy as you lie down, staring up at Kurojo as he sleeps upright, sleeping soundly with a slight whistle carrying out from his breath.
If you'd shot him, he wouldn't be here right now.

Cerulean wants to curl up beside him, to get a bit closer. But guilt stops her action. No, she has no right to... Not without begging his forgiveness. He saw what she was about to do... He hasn't said anything to Nala or Marine either.

Her eyes close with pangs of regret, and she slips off into the world of dreams...
>>
>>33077351
People have given multiple reasons why we wouldn't think the way Ceru did in this conversation. So no, we couldn't be forced
>>
>>33077351
Anon, that doesn't have anything to do with the arguments here.

We chose to act that way. But it has no relation to why the Araraki should convince us to think of anything.
>>
>>33077322
>>33077202
I feel as if the quality of the enemy makes our inability to do much perfectly logical.

You really think we should have been able to go toe to toe with the Nargacuga?
>>
>>33077373

You're gonna take a lot of shit for thrid person. Even more...

Press on, Prod.
>>
>>33077414
But that's irrelevant.

Prof said it was a winnable fight before Nala came.

Prof was also surprised that we didn't do much.

So both of your arguments have been contradicted.
>>
>>33077373
Stop doing 3rd person, Prof. God. Even if no one supported you on that, you still went with it. You're just proving what people are saying about you not caring about anyone else's opinion.
>>
>>33077427
Winnable isn't the same as "easy" or even "without casualties"

Woop de doo, that's what happens in a lot of quests. The araraki will disappear in the night and we won't be able to find her. This is no surprise.

But if we do meet her again, we push the bitch against the wall and don't let her speak back.
>>
>>33077457
You're playing it up too hard. She's shaky and nervous, but that doesn't mean she can be made to believe some retarded argument. All you're doing is wording everything to be as biased as possible.

Yes.

But what it does mean is that is that Ceru will sit down and listen to bitching that strikes her in one of her lowest moments. This is usually the part where the paladin falls.

Biased as what? Biased as in the fact that I'm bringing up teenagers and bad decisions?

I don't give a shit about the araraki's arguments anymore, I actually want her to die now. All I want is to know what the fuck she was doing during the fight and if she did steal the indexes, and she can fuck off (or die) and never show up again.

I really want her dead, but I won't pursue that, unless there is good reason for that.
>>
>>33077584
What the fuck is your problem? These past two threads literally every post Ygg makes has some douche like you giving him shit. I understand criticism is important, but if you don't want to alienate both the qm and everybody else, you have to tone it down. He's clearly trying to be as gracious as possible, but how the fuck do you think someone's gonna act when you carry on like that? And no one does bring it up. Until he makes a mistake again. And the process repeats because he's an idiot.

Nah.

I can ignore Prof's fuck ups after the thread. But in the thread itself, there's no way. He'll be constantly told he's a shithead because he deserves it.

I've really lost the drive to participate. There's more than enough people to defend Ygg, and more than enough to give him shit. Nothing ever gets done because the arguements are poorly thought out and the main points are quickly forgotten in favor of vague claims and poor counter-arguements.

There IS a problem, but clearly, it's not going to be solved this way. Prof needs to discuss some things, but there's too many meaningless posts to find the ones to actually answer to.

If there's a point you agree to, do so, but don't add in things without thinking about what you're implying.

It's useless for Prof to "discuss" anything. He's "discussed" things before. The only thing left to do is for him to actually change.

“You killed her.” A voice echoes from the dark, a silver room coming into view. A sparring circle like the one back in the dome. You don't think you've been here before... Pillars float with the pulse of psionic energy, fragmented and pulsing, revolving around an inner rod.
As the room lights up, the silver dust of the battle circle shimmering underfoot, you hear the voice again, “You killed her. You are dangerous, don't you see?”

You look down, and you see Alexis, young and pale hanging limp in your arms, frost forming at her mouth, eyes an icy blue. No pulse.

With a start, Cerulean nearly drops the body, only to clumsily catch it, her hands shaking with dread. “No... No... I... I didn't...”

“You killed her.” The voice echoes again.

Cerulean shakes her head, “No, no, no! She's still alive... Alexis is still alive.” She lays her down, and begin to perform life recovery procedures, yet as she pushes against her chest, her hands sink down, penetrating cold flesh with colder claws. Her blood beads and freezes, crackling as Cerulean pulls away with a panic.
“No... I didn't mean...” Cerulean begs tries to reason with the dream, yet she feels trapped under the weight of her own guilt.

“You are a monster. I'd have you remember that.” A hand touches her shoulder, and Cerulean spins around, tears falling from her face.

“No!” She screams, and there she sees Sabrina there with her always deadpan glare. An alabaster mask of human perfection, long purple hair falling over her shoulders in a hime cut.
>>
>>33077969
Of course. Because he's a shithead. And he deserves it.

No one wanted to "bully" him until he made a mistake and refused to own up to it. Like always. It's happened enough times that it's just going to get worse since he doesn't understand how to accept his mistakes.
>>
Sabrina slowly shakes her head to Cerulean, “Yes, you are the one that did this.” The woman places a hand on Alexis's chest, a psychic pulse sent through the girl's small frail body, bringing her back to life.
“You were made into a monster to destroy monsters. You are no longer a person, and you're better off not acting like it. It is no different from my son.”

Alexis takes a breath, a haggard cough to expel the cold. Cerulean breathes relief.

Alexis is alive... Alexis is alive... Alexis is...

Her hands find your throat, anger painted across her naked face,”You killed me... Monster... You...Mmmonster!”

No. No, I'm not... You gasps for breath...

In essence, it sums up a couple of things about the QM vs. Player debacle.

Not everyone enjoys sufferring, but they know it's something that needs to happen. Still, the players don't trust Prof not to turn Ceru into some self-loathing prick, so the write-in includes a note of hope. When it goes too far/is poorly written, Prof needs to go and add some caveats or change it a bit to be more inline with Ceru as an emotionally vulnerable little girl.
>>
>>33078440
It's partially people not realizing how they were shaping the character, and partially prof taking the starts of things too far.

>>33078489
I'm not including that. In no way does it coincide with Cerulean's current emotional state, the fact that she's being strangled in this nightmare allow it.

Like with the Araraki, there's a disconnect here between you guys as players and the character.

See, it's like this. You're trying to rationalize emotion and traumas. It doesn't work like that. There is no place for something like that.

She is being affected. She's having a really hard time right now. That kind of rationale is evasive.
>>
>>33078624

Ok, here's the thing. Acknowledge intent, or at least a motion towards the desired thing.

>>
Ok, so let me understand.
We fought the Nargacuga, but people felt the fight was weak.
We entered Rocket Mode, and it acted very dis-similar to how it was expected.
We're discussing with the Araraki now, and people feel they have no control over the MC's personality.
Professor asks questions about how to be better, but does not seem to be listening to the responses.

Professor, two things you can do to make your players happier:
1. Say "I was wrong, and I am sorry" about some matter important to Ceru's character or the story.
2. Ask the players what direction they'd like Ceru's character or the story to take, and then implement the player's wishes.
Admitting you are wrong is OK. Asking how to be right is OK. It'll resolve a lot of the drama.

You're being foolish again. When will you ever learn?

always nice to see yet another shit quest go down in flames.

how long now until faggot op leaves in tears?

Ygg is stronger than tears.

If anything, the guy that can't hide the samefagging is flustered.
>>
>>33078832
He won't cry because he's an emotionless bastard.
>>
>>33078850
Hah. You're completely outnumbered by the people shitting on Prof, so all you can do is accuse people of samefagging. You can't even address any of the arguments. This happens so much, it's laughable whatever the defense force has to come up with to protect their precious QM's dignity.
>>
>>33078850
>>
>>33078884
The greatest real extent of "defense" I've seen over the last few threads has been people pointing out that the playerbase hasn't been flawless angels who've done everything they could know of.
We did drop the ball a few times, something Ygg grabbed and promptly ran out of the field with.
>>
>>33078884
for real though, you're getting actively annoying.
>>
>>33078925
stop taking the bait anon
>>
>>33078884
Shitting on Ygg does nothing though, he doesn't care.

The only thing it does is make it harder for the people who are trying to make a pointed argument for why he's wrong, in slim hope of changing something.
>>
>>33078884
I'm quite certain there's at least 4 people arguing against Ygg, and 2 of 4 is a samefag.

And if you've been following the entire thread, you'd note that Ceru going nu-uh and attempting to use anon's reasoning to argue is well OOC.
>next you'll say, muh logic works fine with teenage girls
>>
>>33078922
>We did drop the ball a few times, something Ygg grabbed and promptly ran out of the field with.
Drop the ball how?

The ones defending him couldn't even defend the fact that his 'clues' in the fight were shitty. They either admitted that or used it as justification that we shouldn't have taken the fight. All poorly made arguments to excuse Prof.
>>
>>33078948

Hardly.

things that have been blown out of proportion.
>>
>>33079011
How is that related to how shitty the fight was?
>>
>>33079011
Actually, people were saying the fight was shitty even before yesterday's thread. You can check it out right in the archive. People were already complaining about how bad the fight was at the end of thread 49.
>>
oh fo the love of god will you guys shut up and quit bitching you said your opinions now quit hanging on to them and focus on playing the quest. also quit calling ygg a asshole it serves no purpose but to annoy the person supplying a well written source if entertainment, if you have complaints its ok to say them but throwing insults and calling other people names is just childish and serves no purpose. to end this rant id like to say that if a person doesn't like how things are going they are free to leave and view another quest, but they could at least be polite enough to not spam hate posts.

>>
>>33079020
>>33079037
It's not, but the fight being shitty isn't the only thing being discussed here.
ah, but you're both (assumption) going back to the very thing mentioned earlier, narrowing things down to the point where contradictory arguments become invalid.
I'll stop talking now.
>>
>>33079042
I agree whole heatedly with this guy.
>>
>>33079037
Yeah, I'll have to agree, the fight was somewhat shitty. Either /tg/ can't parse prose, or Ygg's hints are too buried in prose.

Meet halfway?

>>33079042
They're not really interested in doing that. Pointless sniping and bitching has been a pastime for questers.
>>
>>33079042
That's idiotic. The one reason people stay to complain is to shit on the QM. This is the internet. This is 4chan. Plus, Prof's never shat on this hard normally. Only when he does something stupid. It wasn't even that bad the first time, but it just keeps getting worst since people are getting more used to Prof ignoring any advice. That was what drove the argument last thread too. Prof asked for advice in the past and just ignored it all.
>>
>>33079042
> a well written source if entertainment
>well written
Ha
If he'd listen to suggestions, it would be.
>>
>>33079054
Hey, I'm a different guy. No need to blow me off with that other guy.
>>
>>33079042
It's not that well-written. It's tolerable, mostly. People came for the adventures he promised. Which he failed to deliver. And he's shitting everything up worse.
>>
>>33079117
It could be good though, we just need to give him advice rather than insults.
And he needs to read, understand, agree with and then implement the advice.
>>
Gettin' pretty sick of these righteously indignant anons.

If they spent maybe an hour going on about how prof was awful, fine. But now they've gone for like six hours straight, and another like six hours in the last thread, and it delegitimizes any point they were trying to make by painting them as madmen or whiners.
>>
>>33079132

How long have you even been here? The insults have escalated BECAUSE he refuses to act civilly. He never takes any advice.

>>

No, go ahead and read the posts. Nothing from yesterday was even mentioned until someone brought it up as a reason why Prof was being treated "unfairly".

Everything was golden until Prof started railroading the character and refused to own up to it.
>>
>>33079146
They have valid complaints, but it's mixed in with anger and insults.

He said he would in the past. But then he didn't. So all that's left is to shit on him because he's shitting on everyone else.

Cerulean struggles for a moment as her airways are blocked, the psychic girl's fingers curled around her throat with unusual strength, her fingers like vice grips refusing to let go. Alexis's face is painted with anger, accusations and fury.

But Cerulean understands that this is her fault, as the tears of stress bead from her eyes, as the fingers affixed to her throat squeeze tighter, robbing her of voice or breath. She's sorry. She's sorry for what she's done.

Sabrina's head hangs over your shoulder as you relax to accept judgement. “That's a good little monster. You hurt someone. When you hurt someone you need to beg forgiveness. Now tell her that you're sorry.”

You mouth the words, but only a squeak comes out. The fingers tighten at your throat. How are you supposed to apologize like this?

“Go on. What are you waiting for?” Sabrina's words pester you, tickling your ears like mocking children. She knows you can't. How could you apologize when she's doing this to you?

You try again, harder now and barely wheezing out the words, “I...m... soh....ree.”
The fingers let go, and Alexis drops you, suddenly towering over you, looking down on you.
Her face has become emotionless, neither truly forgiving or judging, “Say that to him.” She points beyond you, over your shoulder.

Your eyes follow and you see red feathers, Kurojo resting with an icicle lodged in his head.

“No... I didn't! He's okay. No, he's okay.” You turn back to Alexis, her and Sabrina looking down at you. You shake your head, “No, he's okay. I didn't do that. I didn't do that. I'm a monster but... But I didn't hurt Jojo!”
>>
>>33079221
You.
You've been doing this for about six hours, two threads in a row, because you are very angry he didn't take your advice.
That's a really shitty thing to do.
>>
>>33079201
Well if the railroading is obvious, it doesn't need to be stated.

As a player, we didn't have agency in the Nar-kage fight, we didn't have agency when we were talking to the Araraki, and we didn't have agency in the dream sequence.

What is our role as players, if all the decisions are being made for us by the QM?

Or, do we have no role as players, and are instead spectators to the story?
>>
>>33079203
>How do we get Prof to implement advice?
Get him to admit his mistakes first. Which is never, since he's a prideful guy.
>>
Tears run down Cerulean's face as she denies the phantasms. She balls, up rocking and sobbing,”No, no... I didn't hurt Kurojo...”

“Then who would?” Sabrina asks.

“Someone did it.” Alexis's face unflinching.

“I don't know. It wasn't me, I wouldn't...”

“Then who.”

There's a dull thud from behind you, and you turn to see Kurojo's body fall to the floor, limp with a fresh shard of ice lodged in his brain, dark blood staining his ruby feathers. A girl of white, the other girl walks up, in the regalia of the rockets.

With a trembling hand, you point, catching the culprit, the killer red handed. “She did it!” You shout, passing the blame from you.

“Oh?” Sabrina sounds unbelieving, and somewhat confused. “But Cerulean... You're pointing to yourself.”

It's then that you realize that you're looking into a mirror, Kurojo bleeding out on the floor next to you. “No. No. No. No. No!”

“I don't want that! I just wanted to protect people! To make mom happy! Why is this happening?” You begin to run, leaving Alexis and Sabrina behind in the glass.

It feels like you've been running forever, when your feet finally grow heavy, your legs tired. You stop to catch your breath, a white blur working its way across your vision. “What?” Catching it, you find that it remains upon your cold hands. A snowflake, pristine and beautiful.

“If you want to protect them... Then you need to choose Ceru.” A familiar voice calls out from beyond a gentle snowblind. The outline of her red hair all you can see as thick soundless flurries separate you two.

“Choose what?”

“You need to choose... What makes a human. And what makes a monster. If not all monsters are bad, then doesn't that mean not all people are good? My dear daughter...”

“Mom...” You reach out for her outline, yet it disappears in the flurry, leaving you alone once more.
>>
>>33079221
Can we get Prof to admit and understand that he's ignoring the players' inputs and wishes?
If he does that, then he can say "I'm sorry for ignoring you, what should I have written instead?"

>>33079243
By mistakes I assume you mean how the players aren't influencing the story, and how the QM is auto-ing our character?
Because that is too obvious for him to miss, he must have admitted that already.
If you mean some other mistake, then what mistake do you mean?

You're right, though. I don't recall getting an "I'm sorry for being bad" out of Prof.
>>
>>33079295
>he must have admitted that already.
Never. Not even with the wrecked ship mission. The most he's ever done to admit he's done wrong there is say "it's something that the majority didn't like". It's galling because it shows how little he cares about everyone.
>>
>>33079245
Well, we already realized not all people were good. Bad people happen.

We still think most of 'em are though.
>>
>>33079245
>then doesn't that mean not all people are good
Obviously.
>>
>>33079245
>“You need to choose... What makes a human. And what makes a monster."
But I did that.
Then rocket training ignored it, and went off doing its own thing.

The point is, it doesn't matter WHAT I decide here, or HOW I behave - because my decisions and behaviour are out of my control.
>>
>>33079245
so are we going to get a choice or is ceru just gonna define those two very important choices on her own without any input from the players?
>>
>>33079319
>The most he's ever done to admit he's done wrong there is say "it's something that the majority didn't like"
Well that's almost saying "I'm sorry for upsetting the majority".
That's good, he should do that more often.
And maybe he could ask what the majority would like instead, and then do that. It'll make a lot of people happy.

>>33079343
Ceru's emotional state prevents the spectators from making a decision.
>>
>>33079245
I didn't think we had a problem seeing Sabrina as a bad person? Like we were never in denial that there were bad people in the dome, the objections were for the Araraki tarring us all with the same brush.

What revelation are you trying to convey?
>>
>>33079384
Prof did not see the objections; canonically they have not happened. Anon wrote the words but the thoughts didn't go into Ceru's head, because we're not controlling Ceru. Prof is controlling Ceru.
>>
>>33079245
Sabrina hated Bruise because he wasn't a pure human. Why wouldn't we have thought she was bad from that point?

We can accept that she's Goldie's mom and that we hope he cares for her in some way. We can say she's bad for hating Bruise too. Really, all we can say is that people are complex and can't be purely called good or evil.

The faster you get us to this conclusion, the less of an ass you are.

>>33079474

You begin to move, to seek out the other girl, your other self. Walking across a desolate dreamscape of tundra, the sky beginning to whiten with cloudcover and snowfall increasing, until you can barely see more than a few feet ahead.

You feel that the more you seek out the other self, the harder it'll be to find her as this place, this dream resists.

You walk into something solid, smashing your nose against it, and recoiling back before you get a good look at what you ran into... The snow parts, wrapping around you some to flurry and whip at your back. There you see your own reflection, a girl staring back at you in rocket blacks, her eyes crimson and her posture stoic.

“Weakling.” Is the first thing that she says, a crude curl of her upper lip, revealing her teeth.

The word bites Cerulean hard than she'd expect it to, flinching at that word alone. With a gathering of her courage though, she screams back,”I am not!”

“You are.” The crimson-eyed girl stares back, unphased. Her stance a picture-perfect example of Rocket “at attention.”
“You are a weakling, a coward, and Alexis died because of you.”

The girl in the mirror's accusations cut, but Cerulean's already heard it, “And I'm sorry for it! I didn't mean to... But you're the one that was going to hurt Jojo! Why would you do that?”

“Because I'm the rocket that boss wants. I'm the good girl, you're the bad girl. You conspire with monsters. You're forgetting about the dome.”

“But boss never said that they were bad! I'd remember something like-”

“-You'd FORGET something like that.” The girl paces apart fron you, the wind howling across the snowdrifts in a silent dance, “A rocket's duty is to exterminate all threats to the dome and promote the welfare of the people.”

“I know but-”

And I see you clearly forgot the Indigo Reports that Boss trusted us with, where we saw how one of the Elite Four handled these people, and they ARE people, Boss was quite specific on that. Did you forget that he took Bruise in and treated him just like the rest of us? Did you forget he explicitly told us that all these monsters are human? That.was privileged information so I certainly hope not.

It's the other girl that recites it back to you, and she leers at you cold and hard,” They are not our people, and our world is the dome.

“No, you're wrong! Killing them isn't the answer! This isn't what I was trained-”

“It's what I was trained to do.” The girl stares at you, her gun still raised. “Weakling.” That word cuts deep once more, “You couldn't handle the training. You're a bad girl. Kill the monsters and recover the index.” She snipes, and you've had enough.

“What are you, Sabrina?!” That quiets her. “I don't care anymore. I don't care who's a human and who's not. And if it's like that I don't care about the index either, it's not going to help us get home! Kurojo is! Kurojo, and Nala, and the other 'momsters' that you want to kill so much! They're people too!”

Your other self stares at you for a moment, without saying a word. You huff and puff, breathing hard from your yelling. “It doesn't matter.” You say again, stressing that point.

“Boss said-”

“Boss said from the indigo reports, that they're not bad. We can work with them, right?”

The girl in the mirror seems to get touchier at that, “You really are a bad girl. Boss will be mad about this.”

“What do you mean by that?” You ask, and yet the girl fires on you without another word, blacking out your vision with an icicle.

Awakening with a start, you find yourself in the Hunter's camp. Your arm still feels like it's been stabbed with a thousand needles and then crushed. You wince, as it continues to throb, the pain more than a little bit blinding. You still have to be careful with it.. and your insides still feel messed to bits. Not as raw as yesterday though.

You push up and yawn, carefully stretching your back and flexing your tail a bit before you rub the sleepiness from your eyes. You feel like you had a really weird dream... And that you should apologize to Alexis when you see her again. And Jojo- You look up, and find him staring down at you, a smile ath the corners of his mouth. “Hey, good to see you awake. You kept saying my name, are you okay?”

mental problems usually aren't deal in sitting sadly.

thanks for running
>>
First priority, get the index back without acting like a prick, preferably though diplomacy and -after- Ceru has time to rest and clear her head so there are no filters between what we type and what she says.
We have control, use it to achieve things that undermine RM's statements.
>>
>>33080599
We need to rid ourselves of RM, period. I dont give a fuck people think.
>>
>>33080580
>“To protect the world from devastation.
>To unite all peoples with our nation.
>To denounce the evils of truth and love.
>To extend our reach to the stars above.”
>It's the other girl that recites it back to you, and she leers at you cold and hard,” They are not our people, and our world is the dome.
This better be set in the works for a reversal, Prof, after dealing with all this angst.
>>
>>33080599
So if we go back, we will tell Boss everything, and are therefore damned. So there is no turning back, ever. Going back is now a death sentence, or at least being completely rewritten out of being a character.
>>
>>33080599
Since you aren't going to run it for a really long time anyway, I may as well ask in here.

You re-did the hydrokinesis/Ice/Steam in Overlimit. The way it worked out means that now we have effective Adept rank when using Ice.

Does this mean Asher could form Ice from nothing and start getting into the more abstract uses of the element?
>>
>>33080690
I agree. she's trigger happy and a distraction.
>>
>>33080725
>that one guy still going on about that
It must get pretty lonely supporting your cause all alone.
>>
>>33080731
No she is a traitor and a monster, she will tell Boss or whomever holds her keywords hostage absolutely everything down to the last little detail. RM is a monster that undermines our ability to be a MC in a quest period. She is a lethal and hateful threat to the quest itself.
>>
>>33080752
When its the truth, loneliness doesn't matter. We can hide nothing from the boss in our current state, that much has been made blatantly fucking clear. RM will tell the boss everything, boss will, seeing that Ceru doesnt trust him and sees through his deceptions and lies, have Ceru be completely overwritten and probably be replaced by RM. And suddenly we are no longer an MC.
>>
>>33080790
>seeing that Ceru doesnt trust him
So lonely that you start getting delusional.
>>
>>33080580
>“Boss said from the indigo reports, that they're not bad. We can work with them, right?”

God damnit, is RM meant to be seen as defective, or did you suddenly disagree on what kind of bad guy you wanted Giovanni to be?

Because I saw him as the one who would gladly sell out the Dome and work with the poke-races if it meant being on top.
>>
>>33080790
Haha, oh wow.
>>
>>33080759
Thats a bit much
>>
>>33080759
She's also something that's not going to be dealt with in one sitting, or by yelling our morals at her, or, most likely, by any actual fighting.
Going to have to work this out over a long time, break that side's willpower by defying expectations, and assume control.
>>
>>33080790
But we do trust him. What we're objecting to is that RM isn't actually Rocket Mode, but has been completely compromised by Sabrina.
>>
So we all agree? Other Ceru has got to go.
>>
>>33080795
Ok so theres a personality in your head that threatens to kill your friends, murders acquaintances and in general ruin you, your life and everything you ever loved or ever REMOTELY cared about. This personality worship the boss as a god. So would you trust boss after that?

>>33080816
>>33080813
For weeks i told people that we were a brainwashed wreck, a timebomb waiting to fucking go off. And no one believed me. You all told me to shut the fuck up and go crawl off into a hole and die. Now that i have been so clearly proven right, you all are putting your denial games on. FUCK OFF!

>>33080834
Sabrina hasnt come up in quest since we left the Dome. Why the hell would she have corrupted the mental condition/brainwashing the Boss put in us, and why wouldn't we have noticed it before?
>>
>>33080580
We do totally care about the index though.
Just, you know, not enough to sabotage our entire chance of getting home.

We'll get it back. Without killing them. You watch, shadow-me.
>>
>>33080901
Yes. Of course.
>>
>>33080812
Like it seems as if RM is hinting that she knows the Boss better than us, and he really would get us programmed with such a suicidal instinct, which frankly makes him a disappointment as a future antagonist.
>>
>>33080901
>For weeks i told people that we were a brainwashed wreck, a timebomb waiting to fucking go off. And no one believed me. You all told me to shut the fuck up and go crawl off into a hole and die. Now that i have been so clearly proven right, you all are putting your denial games on. FUCK OFF!
No. For close to a year, people have known we were following Giovanni like a zealot.

You're being a retard. Worse than that, you're a retard who images himself to be some kind of martyr.

No one has a problem with following the Boss. What people have a problem with is not following on our own terms. So shut the fuck up and stop trying to twist history.
>>
>>33080932
Its not like there's a shortage of Rockets
>>
>>33080901
If you had provided evidence that Rocket Mode was going to backfire like THIS, we would've believed you more. But you were extremely emotional and completely irrational while you were warning us, and because of that, we did not believe you.

Please compose yourself in the future.
>>
The boss is fine. Our rocket training is just programmed into us PRE indigo reports.

Which means it doesn't care about the indigo reports.
>>
>>33080901
No. "For weeks" is you backpedaling and trying to come up with an argument to defend yourself with. But you're still a dumbass.
>>
>>33080941
Actually I'm pretty sure there are, and Giovanni is more concerned with quality than quantity.

It's why there isn't thousands of Ratata and Zubat rockets.
>>
>>33080901
Are you retarded?

The Boss said it himself. The reason why not everyone knows the Indigo Reports is so that people won't hesitate if we're ever forced into a war with the outside races. We're soldiers.
>>
>>33080941
There is a massive shortage of ones with as good genes as Cerulian, daughter of one of the elite four.
He wouldn't just up and waste a resource like that.
>>
>>33080968
True, but we're not currently at war with them.

If anything, our goal should be to gather intel and assess whether or not they're useful to the Dome.
>>
>>33080941
There's a shortage of people with the Elite 4's capacity for power.

And yes, there's a "shortage" of Rockets. They're the Elite.
>>
>>33080982
Our goals are 1. get the fuck back to the dome
2. bring as much information as we can carry.
>>
A little teaser for what may be the eventual future...

You stand before an iceberg towering higher than anything you've ever known.

You peer inside and for a moment, you think that you see an ancient beast trapped within, old, decrepit and frozen in time. Yet in the next instant the ice glazes over, becoming Rocket Black... and Snowy White.
>>
>>33080982
Except we were never intended for that sort of task as a cadet. We were granted special knowledge of them because of extenuating circumstances. As such, we're still just meant to be soldiers. Not ambassadors.
>>
>>33080580
>our world is the Dome

It's nice how she just completely ignored what

>to extend our reach to the stars above

MEANS.

You can't grab the stars and drag them out of the sky with a glass ceiling in the way.
>>
>>33081005
Huh...so we are going to have that encounter eh?
>>
>>33081012
Which is why it's so ripe for a reversal next time.
>>
>>33081007
as soldiers, our goal is to report back by any means necessary.

as ELITEs, our goal is to report back by any means necessary without causing an interraccial war and with as much info as possible.
>>
>>33080949
or they didn't bother putting indigo reports in.

unlike frothing at the mouth anon, I'm not going to advocate turning our back on the Dome at this juncture.

But after these last two sessioins, I am not a fan of Rocket mode and would rather it be removed completely from Ceru. Its a detriment to getting home by being irrational, misplacing priorities, prone to violence, and a danger to our non dome allies.
>>
>>33081035
And? Do you even remember where this reply chain started?
>>
>>33081042
>they didn't bother putting indigo reports in
That's exactly what I said. Indigo reports are secret, so they weren't included in the standard rocket programming.

Which is a big liability out here when knowledge of the indigo reports and friendly monsters is keeping us alive.

>>
>>33081005
...Kyurem? Oh dear.

Also if I recall correctly, the central divide between Zekrom and Reshiram, between Black and White, was between Ideals and Truth.

So. That'll be fun.

Reshiram/Zekrom And Kyurem. We may meet the three dragons of Yin, Yang and Wu.
>>
>>33081075

>>
>>33081075
Our friends are there, our only contact to our parent is there, there are numerous people living safe lives, our standing orders to report back to the dome if we ever stray for the sake of survival, the inferior aura-based healthcare...
>>
>>33081075
...Our Mom, our friends? Any of which could be dead by now due to the dangerous life we live?
>>
>>33081073
Covered in ice. Black and White 2.
>>
>>33081075
friends and family mostly.

Mom specifically shows that the Rocket Mentality is not the only mentality in the Dome.

I still hold hope that a peaceful option can be reached and will continue thinking so until proven otherwise.
>>
>>33081116
Yeah. I think we can get the index back without hurting anyone.

Though we might have to search someone's shit.
>>
>>33081116
>>33081098
>>33081096
How can you people believe that when we get back that life will even return back to a semblance of what it once was? We have had time to see the darkness that lies within the Dome, within the human society made of survivors of the wrath of the gods, within the monstrosity of what was done to us to get us into this state?

If we go back they will try and restore the level of control they had before we were washed away. You would really accept that? You would really want that?
>>
>>33081144
Long as we're still loyal, and we report to rockets first, we don't have to worry about mind tampering.
Giovanni is really cool about shit like that.
>>
>>33081144
Stop being so delusional, anon. Obviously, you force your way through and deal with problems as they come up.
>>
>>33081144
We could just quit the Rockets if need be, their influence is not absolute.

I understand your concerns but we do not have all the information and I prefer not to act rashly.

we have to remain calm and react accordingly. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
>>
>>33081160
Giovanni is the one whom did the tampering in the first place. So what reasons do i have to trust the man?

>>33081161
Problem with that is as soon as we go back we will be reprocessed and RM will give the Rocket Execs "her" report. They will know we were becoming aware of what Rocket Mode actually entails. They will then forcibly stop this by any means necessary. We wont have a chance to "force our way through it".

>>33081186
I honestly WANT to know if Marine has a RM in her brain as well. Because if she doesnt, i suspect this might have been forced upon us because of whom our mother is. Giovanni wants to keep her out of his hair, basically holding us hostage is a good way to do that. I highly suspect thats why we have this "Rocket Mode" in the first place. Just so the boss can keep a check on Mom and her power over him.
>>
>>33081254
Rocket mode is just our emotional damage at going through stupid intense training. Deal with it.
>>
>>33081270
Ice Queen makes sense now, doesn't it?
>>
>>33081270
Then please explain why it is so mission focused and "knows" that apparently everyone is a threat, even fucking Jojo for some reason due to our index being missing and demands we kill everyone whom isnt Marine. Because im sure Jojo, whom we have told alot of our story to, would steal our index to sell of to the tuskless whom he is utterly scared shitless of and doesn't want their attention or whomever the fuck. Because that makes sense if its just emotional damage right?
>>
>>33081254
a distinct possibility. But assumptions aren't enough, proof is needed.

We haven't seen the last of other Ceru, hopefully we'll be able to glean more information from her and get a concrete idea of the situation at hand.

>>33081296
It was Other Ceru's nickname?
>>
>>33081299
Because it's not very mission focused at all and is just clinging to whatever it can to assume authority.

It gave not a shit about indexes or missions when it was shooting at kurojo.
>>
>>33081296
It made sense before too, ygg.
>>
>>33081296
I still have a problem that RM Ceru saw everyone in the bar as targets, presumably including Jojo.
>>
Anyone else want Rocket mode gone?
>>
>>33081311
>Kill all the monster.
>Return to the Dorms.
>Return to Boss.

Sounds like a standing order to me if ever there was one. Yknow a Mission for it to follow just in case its ever separated from other orders/authority figures in the Rocket organization.
>>
>>33081336
It's really fucking up parts two and three of that, then.
Because it's not mission focused at all, has no long term planning, and is a function of emotional trauma.
>>
>>33081335
Yeah, it seems to be a problem.
We should probably get a rocket esper to help remove it and re-integrate the training.
>>
>>33081296
Well yeah. Predicted this a long time ago too. Except with Evil mode, which you've shuttled off.
>>
>>33081347
Because it doesn't have total control. If it DID it would probably have murdered anything that we made friends with. And just kept killing and killing until it reached the second and third parts. Or died in the process.

What im saying is, RM needs to go before it becomes US. Before Ceru is a distant and fading memory in her own fucking head. And going back to the Dome isnt going to help us with that. The Rocket Execs would just speed up the process of doing this.
>>
>>33081335
after the last thread, I just can't advocate keeping it. We can be a ranger without it.
>>
>>33081407
The rockets would probably actually help to remove rocket mode, as it proved to be wildly unhelpful and self destructive in this expedition.
Give us some therapy time, and whatnot.
>>
>>33081407
Rather, we want it to become US. We don't want to become IT.
>>
>>33081270
In short, it knows nothing. It tries to command us around, but it has no idea what to do at all.
>>
>>33081407
Dude, Yggdrasil pretty much confirmed the idea that this wasn't part of Giovanni's plan, Marine doesn't have this in her head, it's more that a: we endured some unbelievably harsh training, b: have some traumatizing memories we suppressed, and c: got grafted to something really nasty, pretty sure we got it added to our -brain-.

All that shit added up to what you see before you.

We're mentally unwell, and our coping mechanism has now gone haywire.
>>
>>33081430
I'd rather have it removed all together
>>
>>33081423
RM doesn't have clear orders to follow and little actual proceed for independent thought. The Rocket Execs want it this way. They want their little adorable genocide machine to follow their orders blindly.
The fact that it doesnt have anything other than RETURN, pasted into its brain bin right now would explain why it is acting so impractically and erratically.
>>
>>33081447
This pretty much. We're having an incredibly stressful situation, and we're only having this "rocket mode" stuff now, when we're away from the rest of our people, suffering culture shock, and feeling enormous general apprehension.
>>
>>33081447
Link me to where he said this then.
>>
>>33081455
It's failing real bad at RETURN then.
What with not using any of the information available to it.
Almost as though it wasn't a cleverly programmed genocide program at all, and instead some kind of terrible monster phobia compulsion.
>>
>>33081490
