You are Kouga, a Saint of the Sanctuary, who fights for peace and love under the banner of the Goddess Athena. You were sent under orders of Pope Ludwig to stop a group or rogue alchemists who were manufacturing fake cloths and wanted to rebel against the Sanctuary.

It was supposed to be a simple mission, you were going to bust these stupid alchemists, stop their evil experiments and make the witch praise you and stop being mean to you.

It was supposed to be so simple, but now it all went to hell. Right now the first alchemist you met, a boy called Victor III underwent some weird transformation and went berserk. To make things worse, he has some strange aura that is devouring the cosmos around him, so you feel wary to about getting near this weird boy.

But he is not the problem here, your problem is the female Saint in front of you. Wielding a black replica of the Tarantula Cloth, this spider girl almost killed you a minute ago… but somehow you kept going.

You won’t give up, you will never give up, so even though your body hurts and you feel like you want to die, you stand. You stand and burn your cosmos and face your enemy. Right now, what you have to do is simple.

You have to beat this stupid Silver Saint, and calm down that Victor III punk and then fight all the other alchemists that are in this stupid sandy temple and then punch them until they stop being evil.

Easy, right?

“Well, let’s do this.” So now you will deal with your first problem. With some difficulty you raise your darkened right hand in front of you, and prepare to act! The red lines of your Evil Right pulse as you feel your cosmos flow through it, and someone how know it.

The desert sands around you makes you feel hot and tired, but somehow you feel ready, excited even.

Wise Up: About Faction and their Alignment.
Hello there, I am glad to see you again, sorry for this but once again, I don’t have time to spare.

Kouga, today we will talk about Gods and their alignments.

You might not know this, but your world hasn’t left the Age of God still, which means that in the grand scheme of things, you and your fellow men are judged not by the morality and ethics you believe in, but rather by the Gods you serve.

I guess saying that the worth of a man can only be judged in how he obeys, might sound a bit severe right, but that’s how this world works.

To keep things simple, most Gods and their factions can be defined into one of three alignments, which in turn help define how humans are judged.

First are the faction that fall into the alignment of the Law; these are the groups whose core philosophy are prioritizing the stability of the world over the world over the persona freedom of individuals. They tend to view the divine judgments of the Gods as a source of order and stability to the world. Law factions fall all over the spectrum, from kind paternal figures who wish to gently guide humanity to its full potential, to mad dictators and tyrants that want to control everyone with an iron fist.

But if Law is stability over freedom, then Chaos is the contrary. The Chaos alignment promotes the freedom of choice, thought and action above all and reject the controlling ideals of the Law alignment. The Chaos factions tend to reject the rigid order of the world and the Gods that enforce it, and look towards rebuilding a world free of unneeded laws. In any case Chaos factions can range from valiant freedom fighters and revolutionaries who seek to make a better world, to despot Darwinists who believe that might makes right.

Neutral is the attempt to balance these two factions. It accept the need of Laws and order to guide the world but not at the cost of personal freedom. It rejects the extremes of both Law and Chaos, and tries to meet them in a middle ground. By rejecting both sides, this alignment is often very isolationist, leading to it challenging both the forces of Law and Chaos at the same time. These nautral parties tend to range from visionaries who mediate and find a third option, to naïve idealists whose actions end up being the cause of the next conflict.

Kouga, as long as you continue to fight, you will meet with several of these factions, and eventually you might wish to join them, or maybe you might become strong enough to create your own reason and find your own faction to push your ideals.

But whatever you do, never forget this. My friend, the power you inherited is one that can change the world, so please weight how your actions might change the world very carefully.

Otherwise, you might regret it.

A part of you wants to pay this girl back for having pierced your guts with her quartz bullet, but right now you can’t waste time on her.

Victor III’s draining effect is expanding slowly, and with the boy out of control you fear what might happen if he ended near a civilian. Most humans barely have any control of their cosmos, and you doubt most would survive the constant draining that they would be subjected by being near Victor III.

“Sorry Evil girl, but I can’t waste time on you!” Using a small thunderbolt as a quick distraction, you quickly leave the Black Tarantula behind, as you rush towards your new target.

He is kneed on the sands, his hands are gripping his head as if the boy was trying to crush him. His body is shaking uncontrollably, as he trashes around trying to control something that he will never stop.

Just like humans need to breathe to live, this boy needs to devour those around him to live… that is a sad truth he will never escape.

The metallic bronze tone of his skin and his bright teal hair give Victor III an inhuman appearance, but what worries you is his aura of devouring.

You are barely near the edge of it, and you can already feel it trying to eat you, trying to devour the cosmic energy that flows within you. “I can’t get close to him…” You think that his draining will get stronger if you get closer to the teenager, so you have to try something from far away…

Great. You hate to admit it, but you weren’t very good at ranged attacks, Medea never bothered to teach you to use them with your darkness cosmos, and you weren’t sure the few you knew to use with your electric energy would work here…

“Then, as two humans who have shared a token of friendship, I promise to restrain myself to non-lethal maneuvers.” As she stands still and ready, you feel her great cosmos spinning, twisting into madness. “As long as you live afterwards, I am sure that it is considered non-lethal, that I understand. After I capture you, then I will kindly ask you to procure more tokens of friendship as we discuss your terms of surrender!”

Well, I do feel that a hard ass Law or a free crazy Chaos like in SMT does not fit Saint Seiya's themes, so I tried to vary it a bit.

I do think that SMT is changing how it approaches the two concepts, I mean in Desu Overclocked in the extra scenarios you can end up with softer Law and Chaos endings that are not totally horrible.

Elements are broken, atoms rearranged, and soon from the sand of the dessert a crystalline sphere takes shape.

Her smile is wild, and salvage, the type that only can belong to a predator that is savoring the fight… her smile is just like yours, “Kouga, my name is Versa… the seventh generation tactical humanoid alchemical weapon, Versa… Versa the Seventh, the Seventh one who has inherited all from the previous six.” Her voice is now thick with an emotion you can’t understand,

Then her voice becomes a monotone once again, and with cold detachment she sings your death, “Now, please die and take that name to the underworld.”
What happens next is too fast for you to simply follow it. As a saint you can move faster than the speed of sound… and sometimes even double that, but this girl. She moves not three time nor four times, but five times the speed of sound.

In some moments she looks like she is standing in the air, in others she looks like is parting the sea of sand in two, but in a moment she circles around you making a sand pit that is trapping you! One moment she is behind you, then to your right, then above to then just appear from below, and all while preparing a sure strike with that spear!

She is simply too fast, her speed is not one you can match.

She is simply too strong, her power is not one you can overcome.

She is simply too skilled, her defense is not one you can break.

To the weak you in this level, this sand pit that has trapped you is a perfect attack. This is the pinnacle of this girl's skills a Saint.

Okay, I was going to do this in the Dojo if you guys lost, so let me be clear with you guys... here are the ways you could have done things better.

First of all, Elev beats Earth, so you really should have taken this opportunity to learn your Elec Skills.
You shouldn't have fought Black Tarantula in the Dessert, you probably would have had better luck in the Temple. Trapper wouldn't have worked as well. Plus sniping wouldn't have worked.
Also, you probably could have avoided the fight if you left Black Tarantula to seal Victor III.
Lastly, you probably could have asked to use your curses, Evil Right allows you to cast them when you hit a target. You are a witch for a reason. (but I don't blame you for this one),

Man I can't help but feel like this is going to happen again and if this thread is an indication of what could happen things aren't looking good for Kouga or anyone else at that point. People rely way too much on one element and others neglect it our other choices because of reasons. Even when there's hints being dropped at what may happen. Just can't shake this feeling of incoming disaster at this point.
