You need to go see your Snazzy Azzy, you think. You sonido off into the city and follow the strange smell of angel to the hidden club, the pink, red, and purple lights almost giving you a headache as you step in. The scent of food, sex, and death hits you at once and you feel drunk off the atmosphere almost instantly. Time Trial is not more offensive power. It's hardly even capable of providing that indirectly.

Buying powers leads to more powers of similar purpose unlocking. Carnage Knight is a purely offensive unlock. It's also a very early stage unlock and has far more to branch off of it.

Time Trial is fantastic, but it is not what we need to buy now.

Your nails dig into tender, wanting flesh, slowly scraping the fleshy outside from the tender meat within. You pull, small fibers of life still connecting the shell to the inside, needing to stay on but wanting you to tear it apart even more. You see small dribbles of orange juice flick over your fingers and you feel it’s dripping sweetness more than smell it, the pure orange’s need to be eaten pulsing off of you.

You eat the orange, the juicy meat of the fruit filling your mouth with proof of its devotion, slowly dripping down your mouth and onto your chest as your teeth feel the meaty insides straining against your gums and tongue. Without any effort of her part, the moment your power touches hers it is overwhelmed. There is no sneakiness to it, no art, it is simply an ugly slugging match between your auras.

I'm confused as to which skills Azzy was even talking about when she said that stuff about dump stats.

The only skill to increase our Durability was (Razors don't dance, asshole), but that was only a secondary side effect to increasing our H2H and we mostly got it because it was a pre-req to getting (Fluffy Assault) aka Angel Steel claws which was for the offense.

There was the (Anyone seen my arm? Be careful, it bites), which admittedly is pure utility, but I think we mostly got it as a pre-req for the (Out of Sync), which is a nice offensive boost. Or is OoS not technically offense or something?

(Hate Engine) is a massive speed boost if I understand it correctly. (Carnage Knight) is an everything boost that seems somewhat more oriented towards offense and it revealed more offense related powers.

Was it because of the Grace Manifestation thing? I dunno. I know it mainly buffed our defenses, but we sorta had no other choice when it came to buying angel stuff and it did open up the ability to buy offensive angel things now.

Is it because of maxing out Illusion and Dream Walker? I can see how those were probably a waste compared to getting Masochism.

You turn towards a mousy girl near you and push her off her saddle, easily knocking her into the water. Hiroshi charges forth, like a manly sea lion or killer whale of raw pool charging power. An overly large Russian woman locks hands with you for a moment and you briefly let her think she is going to win before you push her into the drink.

As you get down to the later contestants you see the men are also participating as they take sneaky swipes at the other contestants. Hiroshi carefully navigates the attacks and doesn’t even jolt you as he elegantly steps to the side of the other players and lets you push them off, quickly sweeping up the competition.

The whole while the woman keeps trying to take dirty shots at you, but you manage to avoid the attacks and just let your hate build. Man, sure hope Hiroshi doesn’t feel your murderboner poking him in the back of his head. “That isn’t what that word means.” You explain. It might.

You manage to push the last of the group into the drink, a particularly crafty couple who just followed in your wake. You nod at the brilliance of staying close to the eye of the storm and give her a passing salute as she leaves the pool. You stare at the last pair and Hiroshi charges forward, you quickly locking hands with the woman who showed your not so fat cat tats.

You make it to the shrine where you installed father John and see it has already started growing. Most of the former god’s stuff has been removed and the things left have been defaced so they hold no meaning. You nod as you are pleased at the general state of godstuff. You see the twins from before, now wearing loose Japanese clothing of some sort and pressed against each other. They both look at you and tilt their heads. “Hello there what do you-“ The first says.

“Right. Yes, of course. You know I am not all about lust too. General dickery is also good? Just, you know, making everything happy.” You say trying to impact something.

He stares at you plainly as if you had three heads, moves to say something, stops, and then leaves. He still didn’t tell you about the smiling fish at all but perhaps his silence is his answer. Why did you have to go put your fingers in their pies?

“If you are going to be a right cunt about me doing God Stuff.” You grumble. What god stuff? You gave them a shield, and that was about it. Doing god stuff is fine, but not when there is nothing to do you knob head. “Yer a knob head! Annoying priests is a thing we did!” You counter making Hiroshi turn to you concerned. You clear your throat and smile. “Bit late in the day. How about we turn the hike into a picnic?” You offer.

The two of you make your way to the market and grab a few things. “So you-“ Wait, we are fighting now? “Yes, we are fighting because you were being a jerk about me being a god.” You explain as Hiroshi pulls you up over a ridge. Do we have to do this now? We are trying to make the doctor all woobly for us.

You agree to put off fighting about it for a while as you make small talk going up the mountain, not asking anything specific about him or his. You make it to the top of the mountain and see a nice spot to set up camp. You throw out the blanket and take a seat on it as soon as it is down, looking out over the clear blue water.

Hiroshi pours you both some tea and takes a long drink of the relaxing liquid. “So, a trouble maker were you? Didn’t expect that.” You finally say, the silence killing you. Rekilling you.

“Well, I was young and rebellious. I wasn’t born to a noble clan or anything so I had a bit of an inferiority complex back then. I acted like a teenaged boy is want to do when he wants attention.” He explains.

“Oh? Any particularly juicy stories?” You wonder.

“Afraid nothing too bad. I got in some fights around the soul society and jumped into situations I couldn’t handle. When they arrested me it was either enter shinigami academy or go to prison, and I was too pretty for jail. I enrolled and I did well.” He explains. He means he would have been the prison bitch bait maybe.
