Wecome back to Hammergirl quest.

Last Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/32826118/
You are Jessica of Wulfenberg, the wolf mountain.

You grew up in castle Wulfenberg which, along with its prosperous town of Wulfenburg is the biggest provider of timber, coal and wolf pelts for the entire region. The winters are harsh and the summers short but the people are healthy and happy due to the leadership your family has provided for generations on behalf of the King.

Your father is both blessed and cursed with seven daughters and no sons. Good marriages have ensured that your family name and standing is at it's height but the family coffers have been drained by the multiple dowries. Still no one is troubled by this. The mountain and the surrounding towns and villages are in good standing and your family is not exactly poor. You and Anna, the sister closest to your age would have problems in a few years and probably need to settle for less prominent marriages but Anna has been Called to service of a White Healer and a late evening conversation in the great hall gave you the brilliant idea to enter the service of the realm.

You could become a hero.

It was hard, the Aspirant training but it was not as bad as you feared. You are healthy and of sound mind, the training focusing you into the best shape of your life. You found yourself with a knack for fighting with a war hammer and in honor of your dedication to the family your father opened the Family Vault and gifted you with you the Drachentot, the hammer your great grandfather has slain the great wyrm Argenshatz. The family heirloom is yours to use as you see fit but upon your death it is expected that it will be returned to the family vault baring unusual circumstances.
>>
While magic is not extremely rare, weapons imbued with magical properties are somewhat less available. Generally in the hands of old families or the Crown such weapons represent a certain status on their wielder. Usually they are in the hands of firstborn sons ensuring their worth and safety is apparent to others.

You only realized the significance of your fathers gesture After your Vigil once you were taught Law.

Speaking of which during your Vigil, the ritual cleansing and meditation meant to prepare your for transition from Aspirant to Squire you had a vision. At least you think it was a vision. You couldn't possibly have had a part of you chained away in the darkness somehow. Regardless you feel more free somehow ever since that night.

Which is good since the constant, harsh pressure you are subjected to in War College, far beyond what the other Squires, noble or common born are subjected to would probably crushed you even a year ago.

But you know why they are doing this. You found out a few days ago. Technically there is no reason why a woman could not became the Earl of a region. The requirements are quite clear and gender has no bearing on it. If you become a full fledged knight suddenly the idea that your eldest sister's husband would become the Earl of Wulfenberg is subject to debate.

The idea stunned you when you found out your desire for service (And adventure!) has now set you on this path. You have changed so much from that young girl who thought you'd simply be a wandering knight and then perhaps one of fathers officers. Has it been a year? If your mother could see you now.

She would probably kill you or worse engage you to the mayor.
>>
You were clinging to the outer wall of the officers tower. The place all your instructors slept. As you made your way to a certain open window high above the ground you couldn't help but consider the event that made you determined to get even.

While some of them have simply been teaching you most showed outright disdain that grew into open hostility for some like Ulricht your weapons trainer. At first the boys echoed this sentiment, shunning you or teasing you but over the first few weeks when they saw you hold your own and even excel in combat practice. You did what you have been taught: You were polite and offered a helping hand where you could and the boys had a change of heart.

Some of the boys are still chilly but gave grudging respect, others have become good friends.

Which is why you were so flaming mad at Ulricht. Last weekend was the first week Knights searching for a squire would observe weapons practice so naturally the bastard broke your arm in a practice duel and sent you off to the White Halls for healing. You spent the entire day in pain as the potions you were fed healed your bone back to perfect condition and missed your chance to prove yourself. And sure, injuries are not too odd but he had the gall to blame you for the incident, calling you weak and lazy for not dodging quickly enough.
>>
Which is why you were here dangling after curfew outside the fourth floor window. Tomorrow is a minor tournament and you found out Ulricht is planning to attend. While he is in tavern in town you have plans:

[]Switching his soap with a bar laced with stinkweed would teach him a lesson. The best part is he won't realize anything is wrong until he starts to sweat. It will definitely embarrass him.
[]Putting a few drops of bowel loosened into his hip flask will give him the trots all day tomorrow. That should teach him a lesson. He won't loose too much face since he can simply withdraw from the tournament. Equal punishment seems fair to you.
[]With a small pouch full of bedbugs. You won't harm him directly, or interfere with is life too much, for now but it shall make his nights interesting. It's astonishing how a noble can pass for a street urchin with a bit of muss and some subterfuge.
>>
As a reminder: Roll a 1d20 with your vote. Updates are every 20 minutes or so.

Plan consists of 1 sentence per evening and everything is improvised according to player interaction.

I shall allow this option as a last minute change of mind but it has a x.75 multiplier since the players voted go nuts and play pranks.

(Weighed votes: When a sudden change or something unlikely voted for, this means more people need to vote for this for the vote to win)

While you always loved to climb things you find scaling things, like sheer rock face of a tower gets pretty easy with your recent bouts of exercise. Why, with your weight harness of you feel as light as a feather and your fingers are still small enough to find purchase amongst the stones. Sure you are growing like a weed recently and put on a few stones but you are still as quick as agile as always.

You enter the room and quickly find Ulrichts flask dropping a few drops of bowel loosener in there.

The deed done you consider your exit when you hear voices coming from the outside. Someone is arguing nearby and you hear your name spoken.

CRIT huh? Dang.

You skillfully exit out of the window and as you climb down you consider how easy this sort of thing is. As you sneak into your room (The rest of the boys have to share two per room.) you tuck away into bed and feel equal parts exhilarated and scared. This is your biggest act of rebellion in your whole life and it feels... liberating.

(Sneaking skill gained.)

In the morning you are busy along with the orther squires and it isn't until the afternoon that you hear the rumor that Ulricht apparently relieved himself in his armor during a joust.

As a snickers spread through the dining hall and a feeling of deep satisfaction for your vengeance rises in your gut you can't help but wonder that was the right call or the wrong one because the afternoon class was held by Ulrichts assistant.

After class you.

[]See if you can find out where Ulricht is.
[]Sneak off into town with some of the boys.
[]See if you can catch up one your studies.

(That critical on stealth and Subterfuge actually negated an action scene and saved you from ANY trouble... Probably. A short character piece next and then the strategic choices begin.)

>>
You hit the books using your free time to catch up on your studies. In essence some of the boys you made friends with pointed out you were lacking in some areas of estate management and Law. Most of the Squires are nobles and first sons at that, as such they were taught some basics you needed to learn from scratch. But you are getting there. You are by no means slow and there is a fire in your belly, a sort of a weight between your shoulder blades that settled there when you understood what it meant for your father to give you an ancestral weapon.

As you sit surrounded by books and scrolls a knock sounds at your door.

"Come in." You say and an unexpected person enters.

[]Astrid Arnsdotir, a wisiting knight from the Kingdom to the north. Her towering height and strength of arms is matched by her beauty and penchant for getting into trouble.
[]Joseph Hightower, the knight-healer. One of the few Knights of the realm to also practice the surgeons path.
[]Ulricht. The weapons Master himself. He is good at his craft having mastered all of the weapons in a knights arsenal.

"Ah, hello young Wulfenberg." She smiles at you as you invite her in she glances at your books and scrolls in puzzlement. "You are working on your studies I see."

You nod nervously wondering why she was there. "Um, yes. I have both the mind and the body must be exercised to be healthy. Uh, welcome please have a seat knight Astrid."

At the last moment you use the nordic convention where the name is used along with the title, in stead of the paternity line thing they use for last names.

She nods and takes a seat in the sturdy chair on your left and studies you for moment before speaking.

"So you have heard of me, good this will save time. I have heard of your talent for the hammer. I like to use the weapon as well and wish to see how far along you are in your training."

For her ridiculously big ancestor it was a hefty one handed hammer for his hammer and shield combo. For her it is a large two handed warhammer. And she likes it that way creatively using the momentum of the large hammer compared to her own compact mass to do some pretty smashy things.

Get a fucking tripcode. A secure one.
More commas. Read a book on their use if you must.
Roll AFTER votes. Players have a tendency to just pile votes on top of high rolls regardless of whether the idea is good or not.
