You take a deep breath as you force the aether through your hands, forcing the light and darkness into a solid sphere in front of you. Far larger than what is normally stable for you, and all because of the breakthrough you made last night. You figured that if you used your space magic to make what the old world called a “4-D lattice”, you could safely put one of your elements into another dimension, perfectly overlapping with the other element. Upon impact, the lattice breaks and the elements immediately merge with one another completely. You’re not sure how efficient the attack is, but you’re certain that it’s now most of the materials react and contribute to the explosion.

...Oh yea, being able to grab your belongings from Fort Hope also really helps too.

(SPACE CONTROL UPGRADED TO AVERAGE! AXES UPGRADED TO GOOD!)

Great. Maybe this can help your random acts of terrorism later on in the d-

“OH JUST STUFF IT UP YER’ ARSE!” you can hear Marina yelling from down the stairs.

“...Great way to start the evening...” you say with a sigh, pushing yourself away from your desk and heading downstairs to see what the commotion is.

“Oh stuff it yourself shorty! You don’t know what you’re talking about!” Mina can be heard as you slowly go down the stairwell. Peering down, you can see that a few people such as Alex, Kyon, Uilodsir, Troy, Shiva, and others are just around the corner, trying to get an earfull.

“Stuff it!? Girl you don’t know what ‘cho be talkin’ aboot!” Marina says in a strange accent. “Brooklyn’s still trying to be herself, and the only thing you’re doing is forcing her into things that are not comfortable for her!”

“‘She’ is doing fine with me! I’m trying to teach her how to adjust Ada! Not hang onto ideals or beliefs that are only going to make her feel more miserable in the end!” Mina calls back to her.

“Yes, and the only thing you’re doing is making her feel more and more uncomfortable by pressuring her into stuff she’s clearly uncomfortable with! You even just said that you used your mental powers against her more than once!” Ada replies.

“E-Excuse me!? Am I hearing this right!? You’re the LAST person who I should be talking to about for responsible social magic use! She was PLENTY willing! The only thing I did was calm her down!” Mina protests.

“You mean how rapists often hold down or coerce their prey?” Marina replies in a sharp tone.

“If you even so much as HINT at that ever again I’ll blow you through the walls of this place!” Mina says, the sound of cutlery rattling below.

Is this why Brooklyn had no trouble with the fake dick sex?
>>

That you'd need to ask Mina.
>>

Well right now we need to calm the situation down. Then set aside time to have a proper TALK with Mina.

Man, Mina was my favorite, but if she is coercing Brooklyn with social magic...

This is true. I like Brooklyn's mortal centric philosophy. Also the fact that he's held onto his sexual self identification and orientation.
>>
>>32946471
>"Ada, please don't acuse Mina of raping me.
Well to be fair, it depends on how much Social Magic was involved. But, I'm sure it's just an exageration on Ada's part.

Thumps up for this.

I'd add. "I also have no interest in assimilating into succubi culture, especially because my clan's culture is frankly idiotic."

“Alright alright enough of this from both of you!” you say walking down the stairs, hands up in front of you. “I can speak for myself on these matters. First off, Marina, do not accuse Mina of raping me.”

Marina just seems to glower at both you and Mina, not wishing to test the Belkarian’s patience.

“Secondly, Mina, exactly what sort of mental influence did you use on me?” you ask her.

Mina take a deep breath before answering. “Things to calm you down Brooklyn. When I invited you bed that was all me, but after the... ‘hiccup’ I used some social magic to calm you down. I did not, and have never, used mental magic to make you more aroused, feel particular feelings of lust towards me, or anything of the sort.”

“Two things.” you say raising up two fingers, lowering them at each point. “First, do not use mental magic against me again unless you warn me or my life is in danger. Secondly, they may be beliefs that you don't agree with, but they are MY beliefs, and I'd appreciate it if you respect my right to hold onto them. My time mainly spent with humans and my identity and philosophy that goes along with it isn't something that I have any interest in discarding.”

“No Brooklyn! I’m not asking you to discard it!” Mina says to you, kneeling down in front of you and taking your hand. Her other hands wrapping around yours and gently clutching them. “Look, I know you’re a lesbian, and I also know that you want to be a guy as well. I can understand that and I respect it! I... I just you to know that such a thing may not be physically possible, and I’m just trying to find a way to help you adjust to who you are now. You’re not only Brooklyn from the past, but you’re also Brooklyn from the present as well. More than anything I want to see you happy Brooklyn, and I do think the constant seeking of an impossible goal is going to bring you nothing but grief and despair...”

“And I say you have no right to butt into her affairs! Brooklyn is her own woman, and she’s perfectly capable of making her own decisions, not those that come peer pressure from other groups.”

“And you’re the shining example of what I mean Ada! I hear all this bitching and moaning about you being an adult, when by all rights and standards you already are one!” Mina replies.

Ada takes the fan she’s holding and slams it down on the table, breaking it in two. “No, I’m not a fucking adult! You may think I want things like a big ass or breasts just because I’d look sexy!? No! It’s a symbol of respect! Of status! It’s something I want to experience! A world where I’m not ashamed to be a god damn midget which people look down upon, but I seek that of respect! You think just because I’m the current ruler of Fort Hope that I’m afforded any degree of respect!? Poppycock! I can heard them mocking me because they think I’m a ‘child’, and quite frankly I’m surprised I haven’t made such people disappear yet!”
>>
>>32946972
"Mina, Ada is right. She may be an adult in mind, but physically she isn't. And that is important when dealing with people.
I only spent a short time looking like a Laminian in public, but I experienced how infuriating and demeaning it is to be treated like a child. I can't imagine how it is for Ada. Forever living in that form."

You only smile as you look down towards Mina, giving her a pat on the hand with your other spare hand. "I understand Mina, maybe it is foolish to cling onto who I once was. You then turn over to Ada. “Ada, everyone around here respects you. Really, who cares what a bunch of idiot nobles think of you? They are after all idiots. Trust me, I understand the feeling of not having the body you want. Who knows, if I find a solution to my issue I might find one to yours as well."

“I agree with my daughter here. Ada you are a fine and upstanding woman, and those who cannot see your value are foolish.” your father says walking up behind Ada, giving her a pat on the shoulder.

“...No... I guess you’re right.” Ada says with a sigh.

“...So can I have the sweet potatoes now?” Brodin asks, apparently being here the entire time but just now speaking up.

“Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some makeup to put on.” you say starting to head up the stairs.

******

“...Do I really need the stubble?” you ask Troy.

“The Draugr is alive, so he shaves like the rest of the men in the world. So yes you’re putting on the stubble.” Troy says as he applies the makeup to you. “Kyon, give me another brush.”

“Ugh...” you mutter. Honestly if there’s one thing you really enjoy as a female is that you don’t need to have your face shaven anymore. You’re surprised how much you’ve saved by not doing it back when you were single.

“Oh, Mademoiselle Brooklyn!” Alex says strolling into your room, carrying what appears to be a large object wrapped in cloth.

“Fuck off Alex, not in the mood.” you reply bitterly to him.

“Oh no, I’m not here to hit on you tonight.” Alex says, before putting his hand to his chin with a sly smile. “Though if you want I can make an ex-”

“Drop then damn duplicate weapon then leave.” you reply to Alex.

“Non non... See I’m here for another reason.” Alex says sitting down in on the dresser in front of you. “I consider you an... ally of sorts Brooklyn, but I can tell that you’re in pain at times. That look in your eye... I can tell that you’re jealous of other men.”

You don’t pay attention to Alex, instead just staring straight into the mirror.

“I cannot imagine what it must be like to be a woman Brooklyn, but I can detect some of your frustration. Mina may be a fine professor, but she has a woman’s perspective of things. With you... I can tell that your mindset is more akin to that of a man’s when it comes to love.” Alex says to you before hopping off the dresser. “If you need me Mademoiselle Brooklyn, I can teach you some things Mina may overlook while still preserving your dignity.”

“Oh no, please ignore us. It’s not like we’re here.” Troy mutters as he keeps applying the fake stubble.

“...Girls are confusing...” Kyon says with a weary expression.

Mina and Brodin were huge mentors for us. Brodin taught us about the supernatural and has supported us for reasons that are totally not suspicious (but he's an honest guy, so I trust him). Mina taught us what a succubus is, from a general aetheric's point of view.

This is because Alex, Troy, and the others still don't know. I just made it to play along with the lie for now.

"Alex, how about this? We talk about relationships, your experiences, and possibly a few tricks, but no alcohol during or before the talk. We stay friends." you reply to him.

“T’was only my intent my fair lady.” Alex says with a bow. “In the meantime, I shall leave you to your makeup.”

“...I honestly don’t know how noble women put up with makeup...” you mutter in the mirror.

“You mean you *never* wore makeup before?” Troy asks you skeptically.

“Not nearly as much as this. Feels like my entire face is suffocating.” you reply.

“Blame Old TO for not having the good makeup. Now turn your head.” Troy says tilting your head for you.

******

At the end of the dressup, shapechanging, and makeup you can only gaze at yourself in the mirror. It’s actually a bit surreal, but you appear as the spitting image of yourself when you were a male in the past.

“Impressed with his work?” Ada asks as you marvel in the mirror.

“I’ll say. Pretty much the only thing off is my voice.” you tell Ada as you stand back up.

“Good thing the Draugr doesn’t talk. Now remember the weapon you have is a fake Brooklyn. The axehead on it works and it lights up when you channel aether into it, but remember that you’ll need to supply any laser beams it fires from the barrel.” Ada warns you.

“Easy enough. Are there any bugs in this Miyian invention I should worry about?” you ask.

“Latooni told me didn’t have time to test for bugs.” Ada replies.

“Wonderful.” you say spinning the weapon around in your hands. It’s a big heavy and is a bit difficult to get used to, but you figure that since you mainly use ranged it shouldn’t be a problem. “So what’s this place I’m going to attack like?”

Ada kneels down to the floor, unraveling a scroll to show what appears to be a map location of some base. “We might as well start by making it appear we’re doing a blatant pre-emptive strike for the vampires. Your goal for this is rather simple. March into this supply base cause as much carnage as possible in five minutes, then pull back.”

“What kind of resistance should I be expecting?” you ask.

“Simoians and humans mainly. It’s mainly a storehouse for mortal weapons, so it’s only lightly guarded as a result. Given your recent training, this shouldn’t be a problem.” Ada says. “Remember that you’ll be as the Draugr, so under no circumstances are you allowed to take flight with your wings. The walls may pose a problem, but once you’re inside it’s just the barracks, armoury, and Forge.”

“Anything else?” you ask Ada.

“Remember that you’re the Draugr. Do your best to put on a display of ruthlessness. You’re welcome to drop some sort of vampire weapon when you’re finished as a calling card, though finding a way to actually use it then ‘accidently’ leave it behind is better.” Ada replies.

We need Wilhelmina to do whatever she can before and afterwards to mask our Aura if possible. We'll also need to set up wards that misdirect and scrying attempts aimed at us towards the noble vampires and do it skillfully.
>>
>>32948084
Could of questions.
1. Does our space magic give us extra range on our light constructs
2. Could we use question fate to figure out when the Drauger will next wake up... and who is prophesied to betray us?
>>
Time to embed this sword so hard that the person able to pull it out will be crowned the next king of england
>>
>>32948132

1) If you can successfully scry your target, you can literally attack them anywhere in the world.

2) Question Fate only does the past and present, can't tell the Future... Unless someone can point out otherwise. You can use it to tell where the Draugr is and if he's after you.
>>
>>32948183
>2) Question Fate only does the past and present, can't tell the Future... Unless someone can point out otherwise. You can use it to tell where the Draugr is and if he's after you.
Valvosa kept trying to scry when the KING OF DESPAIR would Reincarnate. Granted, it didn't WORK, but still. Still even if we can't, convincing someone else to get us a timetable should be trivial. Could simply ask the witches for example.

You can try asking, but Wilhelmina asked to be left alone.

One person which comes to mind who can do similar things is Madison. Or you can bring Erika/Sebastien to make it so that anywho can see your aura will think it's the same as the Draugr's. Or some other option I didn't think of

You make a small sigh as you look over the map and the plans in your head. “...I’m going to need Wilhelmina. If there’s a chance someone can see auras there then my cover is going to be blown.”

“...How is this a problem?” Ada asks.

“Something was... off with Wilhelmina when I last went to visit her.” you reply reaching for a trenchcoat.

“Off?” Ada replies.

“She claimed she was sick and wanted the day off. The job was one of the few sources of Pride she had, so her blowing it off is quite unusual.” you reply doing up the coat.

“Hm... Alright. Remember that once you’re done, retreat to some location and throw up a ward immediately.” Ada says.

“I’ll wipe off the makeup, pop out the girls, then I should be good to go.” you say buttoning up the coat. “I’ll leave the bladecannon here for now. I’ll just warp it to me when I need it.”

“Very well. Good luck Brooklyn.” Ada says as you leave the tower.

******

You walk on over to Wilhelmina’s apartment, climbing up the stairs of the ratty old building before reaching her apartment. You take a small breath before knocking on the door.

“Wilhelmina, it’s me. I need to ask you for a favor and do something for me.” you say using your voice.

You wait several seconds, only the flicking lights of the nearby lantern dancing across the door.

“....Wilhelmina come on, please it’s important.” you ask through the door.

Still no answer on the other side of the door.

This must be private to Wilhelmina, so you decide to leave her alone. While changing your aura would’ve been useful, this is something that you can manage without.

******

The assigned location is a small castle fort downtown. While viewing the location from the top of a nearby skyscraper, you can see that this base is just pretty much a souped up bandit camp. Reinforced stone towers with archers can be seen around every corner and at the only entrance, a gate which is currently closed. The small fort itself is also small, with only a single two story made of pure stone being the main target. The weather itself seems to be on your side tonight, high speed winds blowing around snow which makes it very hard to see straight and the sound of lightning booming in the background. For a Pride Demon fort, it’s more lightly guarded than you thought. About three dozen mortals and about eight Simonians on the outside alone.

Hm... You’ve fought Simonians before, back when saving Erika. Those guys are tough bastards to crack. They’re a minor Pride Demon race who specializes in front line combat, and the ones town there appear to be well armed and armoured with full plate and spears. But you’ve grown much stronger since then, so many they’re no longer than much of a threat?

“...One way to find out.” you mutter to yourself as you put on the Draugr style wrapping around your eyes before materializing the Draugr’s weapon in front of you.

A) Use gravity control to jump off the skyscraper viewpoint and land in the base with style
B) Insert other way of entering
>>
>>32956260
>A) Use gravity control to jump off the skyscraper viewpoint and land in the base with style
Start off with one of our space controlled annihilator bombs and hit one of the pride demons. Also, summon a light beast, and quickly use space control to use it as a "node" from which we can control/summon other light contructs
>>
>>32956260
We can completely mute our aura right? lets do that anyway.
>>
You decide to approach the base in style. Jumping down from above the 15 story skyscraper, plummeting towards the ground before your fall is greatly slowed by your own control of gravity.

As you continue to fall, you begin charging up one of your new Annihilator shots, taking aim at one of the nearby Simoians before letting it rip loose. The sheer speed and power of the attack combine with the demon not noticing, reduces it to nothing more than a smear on the walls of the camp, body parts being flung everywhere.

“W-We’re under attack! Sound the alarm!” a man in the tower cries out.

As you gracefully land, you take out your gunaxe and swing it out in front of you, doing a small pose as you land.

“Oh well if it isn’t the hunter himself!” One of Simoian’s says, quickly approaching you with a spear held out in front of you.

“Reinforcements will be coming any moment you bastard!? What sort of army do you have!?” another Simonian grunts out in front of you.

You reply by simply raising your hand in the air and snapping your fingers, causing the illusion of the ground shaking before a giant, monstrous beast with an ice dripping jaw and hide as black as night comes out behind you, a creature at least two stories tall at the minimum.

“...That... Well beat all...” the Simonian says with a sigh as the giant monster comes from the ground.

>>
>>32956786
Are going to be dealing with 25 humanoid constructs, who are probably better at close combat than they are. Granted, the demons will be helping but the remaining 5 will be busy with us and the giant monster
>>
You form slowly begins to fade out of reality, flames of darkness licking over you as hundreds of unblinking red eyes begin to emerge from your form.

What follows after is essentially pure case. Your light construct now birthing more grotesque monsters from it’s abdomen, rushing towards a group of nearby, horrified mortals who quickly do nothing but attempt to flee the battlefield as quickly as possible. Those that left behind are quickly torn to pieces by the hologram monsters, screams of their pain and fear filling the air.

“Kill this bastard!” One of the Simoians roars, charging towards you with it’s weapon held out in front of you. You reply by making one of the nearby red eyes floating near him turn into a tentacle of darkness and try to spear him through his chest cavity. Unfortunately he seems to dodge the worst of it, shifting to the side just at the last moment, continuing his charge despite being on his last legs.

With the other three Simoian apes charging at you, you quickly start a pattern of weaving about to dodge the attacks in front of, one of their attacks just barely nicking your own arm, most of the force of the blow averted by warping space around you.

As you expected, these guys teaming up are more lethal than you originally thought. You can see more Simoians coming for you, and it won’t be pretty if every single one of them gangs up on you in melee.

We are doing this right? At least the part where we hide our succubus aura?

You don’t waste any time in quickly melting into a pool of darkness before re-merging back behind a terrified mortal guard, whom faints the very instant upon seeing your unholy form.

You hold out your hand, the red eyes surrounding the base blinking before bombarding the group of four Simonians with meteors that rain down on them. Debris from the explosions showering every which way inside of the base perimeter.

The remaining Simonians spend a moment looking for you, before noticing your location and beginning their next charge.

“I’ve been waiting a long time for this moment... Hunter.” a voice calls out to you.

Looking up at the nearby supply base, you can see what appears to be a greed demon, wrapped up in a sky blue cloak with small flames around the edges. The only thing visible are his four incredibly thin arms, face totally obsecured by it’s hood.

“You killed my sister back in Lord Dio’s castle that day you son of a bitch...” The Greed demon says, holding up his hands to show him gathering fire in one hand and ice in the other. “In the name of her memory, I’m going to take great pleasure in erasing your existence from this world!”

As he says this, all four arms gather together to hurl what appears to be a ball of flaming ice directly towards your location.

Hm... Greed Demons. Amazing with magic, pure suck at physical

You quickly order the rest of your constructs towards the Greed Demon with only a wave of your hand. The monsters now breaking off from attacking the mortals to scaling the walls to attempt to fight the Greed demon.

You quickly jump out of the way of his attack, diving to the side as the fireiceball explodes, splinters of the guard tower flying everywhere in frozen shards.

You narrowly dodge a Simoian attack as you roll away from his downward stab, before coming back up and managing to parry the second blow from a charging Simoian by swinging your own axe bayonet blade at him.

As the constructs continue to climb the wall, the Greed demon on top seems to take a deep breath before making a pose where he sticks all four of his arms out. Giant shards of ice and flame seem to erupt from the castle, crashing down into the courtyard below, completely heedless of his own allies. A few soligrams were killed by the blast, but the rest of them were scattered down into the courtyard below due to the blast.

...OK he knows a few things, that’s the first time you’ve ever seen the spell ‘Arctic Volcano’. It basically blows people out of melee range, showing people with ranged fire and ice, and can also burn or freeze people.

This guy needs to be killed now. He’s not going to be letting you go, and with potent magical powers he’s far dangerous than any of the other peons here.

You quickly switch to one of the viewpoints of the red eyes, locking onto his location to above to notice his shadow. With a quick though you make giant spikes of darkness come from up off the ground, seeking to impale the Greed Demon.

The Greed Demon must’ve seen the attack coming, as he quickly attempts to dodge out of the way, one of your darkness spikes just skimming what must’ve been the edge of his ribcage. Stomping his foot on the ground he immediately wreaths himself in a body of fire, a brightly glowing torch in admist the night.

Shit. He’s deliberately trying to get rid of his own shadow.

The Simoians are approaching you quickly attack, trying to fend off two of them with jagged spikes of darkness erupting from the ground while two others seem to rush you again and jab at you with inhuman speed. You manage to dodge the first two blows from one, but the third strike from the other manages to score a lucky hit in your chest.

You are propelled backward, managing to remain upright. It looks as if Amanda’s invention saved your life this time, that an a combination of your space magic. But even with those two buffering the blow, it was still fairly strong. Two more Simoians are rushing towards you, while the last two seem to try and regain the composure of the constantly screaming mortal troops.

A) Summon a shadowspike Graveyard to impale the Simoians

You need some breathing room to work ASAP, so you solve that by generating soligram soldiers in front of you, making them charge directly at the Simoians.

They seem to fall for it as they stab the first charging clones with their spears, only to have them explode directly in front of their faces. Sounds of the battlefield explosions quickly begin to fill your ears.

Hoping that those clones should keep them busy for a while, you turn your attention back to the Greed demon standing atop the Fort. You can see his own hands outstretched before you, the ground around you seeming to gather up an eerie mist that seems immune to the winds. You dive to the side as you see this, a field of ice shooting up from where you just stood a moment ago.

What does catch you off guard is when you fail to see the ice shatter into a sea of flame, raining you down with flaming ice sharpel. The burning sensation of both hellishly hot and cold fill you at the same time, a few pieces blasting through your armour and lodging in your flesh. It doesn’t feel serious, but it certainly does hurt.

(Options I give are usually mean you only have time for one action, just for clarification.)

You decide that taking this bastard out is going to be the best thing to do here. You charge up your attack, taking time to aim it directly at the back of the bastard before finally unleashing it. The resulting explosion seems to easily engulf most of the rooftop of the fort, debris from what remains at the Fort coming down from every which way. You can’t help but feel a small bit of inward glee from the result of your work decimating an entire level of a fortress, only to replaced with rejection when you see the bastard has managed to survive the blast by throwing up a few towering walls of ice around him. Looking through your aether sight, you can see he has several defensive spells ‘banked’ with Time magic.

The Simoian’s seem to catch onto the exploding clones, running away and letting the now recovered mortal archers take care of them, but not before you see that your explosive clones killed at least three of them.

Hm... Given how bad Greed Demons are with physical prowess, you wonder if melee range would be a better option here. Okarians are not known for their strength, but Greed Demons are pretty much known by legend for having physically frail bodies.

A) Use the smoke cover to teleport up next to the Greed Demon and stab him with the Vampire knife, planting the evidence of the vampires in the fort with style.

Taking out the small fry would be best before tackling the bigger fish you find. You charge up a sphere of darkness in your hand before slamming the energies into the ground. Massive spikes of darkness fill the ground floor inside of the Fort. A few mortals are viciously impaled along with a few Simoians. When the spikes retreat back into the ground, two Simoians are left standing while being critically injured.

The archers in the nearby towers begin to take fire at you. Small volleys of arrows coming at you, of which you easily dodge due to the wind and your space warping. A few arrows can be felt deflecting off your armour behind you, but you’re certain that your armour managed to take those glancing hits.

A flaming pillar now erupts from beneath your legs, filling your entire body what what can best be felt as all of your nerve endings screaming in pain. The face that you resist the urge to scream is amazing in of itself as you leap out of the fire pillar, your clothing still on fire from that last attack.

“That’s only a fraction of the pain that you inflicted upon my sister you Outlander!” The Greed Demon says as he steps out from the smoke, still in a burning silhouette.

Biting your lip to bare with the pain, you quickly locate a shadow nearby the Greed Demon, setting up a soligram dummy of yourself before teleporting behind him. You rush behind, knife in hand. He seems to turn around in horror before he realizes it’s too late. The knife slides through his cloth robe and into the flesh of his chest.

A small fiery explosion rings through the air along with the Greed Demon’s scream, blowing you back along the roof of the Fort and up along the soft layer of snow, barely stopping short of a hole which seems to lead down into the forge area of the Fort. The coals are still brightly burning and that water... looking to be very tempting as your flesh still burns.

You quickly hop down into the force below, using your water control powers to make the water from the cooling pool leap to life and splash on you as you land. The cold water makes a small tingle of pain rush through your body, but compared to the immolation you had previously it feels more akin to a welcome massage.

“THAT’S IT!” you hear the Greed Demon yell above you. It feels as if the air gets noticably hotter. When you look to the other end of the forge room, you can see the Greed Demon just walking through the stone walls, the bright blue flames coming off from him literally melting the stonework into molten rock.

“Go ahead and try your melee moves now shithead! You’ll be broiled alive before you even get close to me!” The Greed demon says, being an incarnate of pure flame.

Interesting fact, water and high temperatures equal steam explosions. If our water control is enough for that then let's use that...or maybe we could even toss him into the tank somehow with darkness tentacles, that would make for a big bang.

A grin creeps across your face as you plan to finish this in one swoop. You begin to focus the gravity in the room all towards the incoming Greed Demon. While not strong enough to product a black hole, you do manage to make all of the steel weapons an ingots fly off the shelves directly towards the Greed demon. Once enough materials are near him, you quickly clench your fist and begin to intensely focus on holding the sphere in place. Given the sheer heat attempt to fray apart your magic, you continue to sink more and more aether into holding the sphere, screaming of the Greed demon being heard within.

After about twenty seconds, you let go of the orb, unable to contain it any longer. The pool of metal hits the ground, pouring out onto the floor as the body of the dead Greed Demon is slowly melted inside of large amorphous shape of metal on the floor.

You take several deep breaths after that, taking a breather from the incredibly taxing feat of after cooking Greed demon soup.

Yea... This should be good as a message...

You figure you’ve done enough. The best thing for you to do now is just get a head start of any Pride Demon reinforcements and throw up your ward.

Jumping up through the hole in the ceiling, you toss the vampire dagger down into the forge room, before lowering the gravity and jumping away into the night.

You quickly decide to settle for a small room atop an abandoned skyscraper in the ruined part of Old TO, hastily throwing up your ward before quickly beginning to discard your burned clothing.

“Fuck...” you wince as you begin to peel off the armour to have a look at your skin. Your armour took the brunt for most of the attacks, but the Greed Demon was a real pain in the ass. Looking over your body, you can see small open wounds from where the fiery ice of the Greed Demon went into your flesh. Much of your flesh all over your body is that of a deep red first degree burns all over your body and even some second degree burns from where the flame ate through the armour. You’re far from dying, but the burns are damn painful.

“Ugh... I really wish Okarians were more durable...” you mutter, putting your head against the wall. Worst yet you’re stuck here for about a half hour.

“I did what I could, but those burns are going to take time to heal Brooklyn.” Leona says.

“How long?” you ask.

“A few days I think.” Leona replies.

“If I was an Aide I’d have them healed in 30 seconds...” you mutter to yourself.

“Brooklyn hush!” Mina scolds you.

“Who?” Latooni asks.

“Shy friend of ours, very good head with raw science. I’ll ask her once I’ve had a small rest.” you say lying down on the bed.

“Rest well Brooklyn.” Mina says giving you a pec on the cheek.

“Remember that you can call for me at any time Brooklyn. Stacy and Katelin are here tonight, so if you need me, just ring that bell and they’ll hear it.” Leona replies.

“Gemelli’s say you don’t understand how they sense things unless you are a Gemelli, and quite frankly I’m inclined to agree with that.” Latooni replies.

“...Wow... Fair enough, I’ll ring the bell if I need you girls.” you reply.

“Night Brooklyn.” All the girls wave to you as they leave your room.

Once the girls are away, you begin the ritual in order to summon Miyu, intending to have a bit of a talk with her about Beck and her recent actions.

“You interrupted my marathon session of Firefly.” Miyu says as she materializes in front of you.

"Well, according to the witches, the head of the Miyian university may or may not be building a superweapon to wipe out the Okarians once and for all. Also, her representative to the meeting I set up is probably going to get her clan isolated from the rest of us. Since she'll be trying to slander me by any means possible, and 2/3rds of her audience knows who I'm working for.” you reply to Miyu.

Miyu just stares flatly at you. “...Is there any good news you have to tell me?”

“...I got lucky with a Celestian Cleric.” you reply to Miyu.

“Come back with a well-muscled barbarian and I’ll call you lucky. But are you sure of these claims Brooklyn?” Miyu says crossing her arms.

“The witches at the Okarian Library warned me of it. They still need confirmation, but they have a lot of evidence stacked in their favor so far.” you reply. “Would I need to worry about this weapon being activated tomorrow?”

“Brooklyn. When you’re facing a Miyu with some sort of doomsday device, trying to set up any safeguards without knowing the nature of the device is akin to building a dam out of paper mache.” Miyu replies.

“Can’t you literally do that?” you ask her.

“It’s the metaphor that counts! I don’t care if it’s a good metaphor! As far as I’m concerned it is one, and my G.E.D. says I’m good enough to know that as well!” Miyu retorts. She then takes a few breaths before turning back to you. “No, she won’t use it at the meeting. If she did, she’d be declaring war against all the clans, with the Pride Demons being shortly behind her. No, what I’m more concerned about is the Miyian University. If Beck does something completely idiotic then it’d give the Pride Demons all the ammo they need to permanently dismantle the church. My clan is in dire enough straights as is, and I fear that if we lose a leader and the Miyian mecca, whomever is left is will go on a mass exodus to the Sloth demons.”

“So what do I do?” you ask.

“Get Amanda to find out about this, she might as well use her nosy attitude and skills to something that can contribute to her clan. If I was still in power I’d have an immediate investigation ordered, but I can’t do anything here. Even if I was out I doubt I could beat Beck.” Miyu replies.

“What?! You wouldn’t be able to beat her!?” you ask.

“Brooklyn, the Queen’s and I are starving. We may have more power, but that power is useless if we don’t have the aether to use it. Not only that, but Miyian’s are incredibly dangerous without knowing what they have up their sleeve. Even if I was at full strength I’d hesitate to go in blind against a well-funded Miyian rumored to be building a superweapon.” Miyu replies. “If she has M.A.D.S. then she certainly won’t be showing it at the meeting. A secret meeting where only a handful of people know something is a terrible way to unveil a superweapon. She’ll want as many witnesses as possible to it’s unveiling.

“Brooklyn I’m their Queen. If they don’t listen to me then I’ll have them exiled just like the rest.” Miyu replies.

You scratch the back of your head. "This is starting to sound a lot like 'above my paygrade.' and 'suicide mission.' Granted, you don't actually, pay me, but the metaphor holds. I hope you have a better idea than asking me to take her down.”

“Brooklyn, I don’t like causing harm to any Succubi, but if I need to put down a mad dog in order to save the pack, then so be it. Taking her down is the last resort I want, but if Beck is too far gone, I won’t hesitate to pick a new leader.” Miyu replies. “Would you mind going over with who the Witches have in mind for possible replacements?”

“The witches don’t have the possible list of replacements finalized yet, but I’ll notify you as soon as they do.” you reply to Miyu. “Also do you have a better plan of taking down a Demon Duke, as I’d rather not fight someone that powerful if I can help it.”

“First is to bring friends. Beck wasn’t even born yet when I was in power, so she cannot be too extreme. She may beat you one on one, but if you gang up on her then you should be able to bring her down. ...Also if you go by the asine demonic traditions, the one who kills her would technically gain her rank as Leader of the Miyians, assuming they are a Miyian themselves.” Miyu replies.

“And if they’re not?” you ask.

“Members of a clan generally want their ruler to be of the same clan, same for all demonic cultures. If the person isn’t a Miyian, then she gets to declare who the leader is. If the killer cannot be found or the Miyians as a whole do not agree on their leader, then a battle royale immediately follows in order to determine who’s the strongest.” Miyu replies. “This is often extremely bloody and a pointless waste of resources. I’d rather not have that happen.”

“I’d imagine this isn’t the case with Sloth demons.” you reply.

“No, it’s actually far worse. As you have robotic armies of death killing anything that could be remotely considered a rival.” Miyu replies. “I... don’t enjoy demonic culture in the slightest.”

“Alright Miyu, I’ll let you go back to watching your play.” you reply to her.

“...Yes... Play.” Miyu replies before fading back down into the ground.

“Brooklyn! Stop fidgeting!” Amanda says as she pulls your dress tight.

“Fidgeting!? It feels like I’m wearing a suit of needles when you pull it that tightly!” you complain.

‘Yes, but you’re a woman, so someone of your station is expected to wear clothing like this. Not just grit your teeth and bare it!” Amanda says pulling the strings again.

You make a small wince asa Amanda finishes drawing up the strings of your dress. “...Leona, how much more until this is healed?”

“The healing magic goes after the most serious wounds first, but you should feel better at the end of the day!” Leona merrily replies.

“What’s I’d like is to wear a loose nightgown and just go commando all day.” you mutter rotating your shoulder. You feel some pain from the sunburn all over, but it’s nothing overly crippling.

“Brooklyn, are you finished in there?” Nalika asks you. “The meeting will be starting in two hours, so if you have anything that’s last minute, now will be the time.”

As for the meeting, remind everyone the village is for people who don't fight. Fort Hope is a fine place for soldiers, to a degree (although discipline to the degree the soldiers act should be maintained).

Secondly, ask Ada if we could have one of the queens listen in or if it would be reasonable to use the communications ritual there.

Thirdly, the clans need to plan something that will cast doubt on their readiness and ability to work as a group.

“Ada, do you think we should summon our ‘friends’ there with the ritual?” you ask.

“We don’t have the Gemelli and the Miyian’s will hate you just by your clan. I wouldn’t risk it just yet.” Ada replies.

“Far enough. Send Alex with a gift basket of food, see if he can cheer her up or at least show that we still care.” you say looking through the mirror, running your hands through your head. “I’ll take Erika with us as a heads up warning. Sebastien can come as well as an advanced scout.”

“I’ll fetch them both at once.” Nalika replies as she walks out of the room, writing board on hand.

“...Maybe stop and get some tea on the way to calm my own nerves...” you mutter to yourself as you head to the door.

******

After an hour and a half trek through both the town and the sewer, you arrive at what you expect to be the meeting place, appearing to be just a normal brick wall. The endless pipes of the sewers seem to be all the same to you, but when you pull on a certain pipe above your head, the stone wall slowly begins to slide out of the way for you, leading down to what appears to be a long, nearly spotless hallway of spotless stone, lanterns hung up on the walls.

“Halt. Identify yourself.” One Succubus wearing heavy armour and a large spear says to you.

“I’m Lady Brooklyn, and this is my bodyguard, Lady Erika Langy. I can vouch for her trustworthiness myself.” you say showing her to Erika.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Erika says doing a curtsy with her trenchcoat.

“...Very well, you may pass.” the guard says standing aside for you.

Thanks for coming out here to be my bodyguard on such short notice Erika. Wilhelmina has been sick lately and I figured it’s best just to leave her be.

(“Sick with what?”) Erika asks.

You briefly open up your mind to allow Erika what you think is the matter.

(“Ah yes. That does make a lot of sense now that I think of it. Even in Langy castle we had a day to celebrate our dead ancestors.”) Erika replies.

...Wait, no you didn’t.

(“T’was private... and Uncle replaced it with a day about worshipping himself.”) Erika tells you.

...Ah...

As you enter the next door, you can see what appears to be a large oval table in the middle of a fairly dark room. The bare outlines of Succubi guards can be seen just behind the light, while the rest of the figures are quietly chatting amongst themselves.

You take your spot at the table, sitting inside of one of the oversized chairs and pulling yourself up to the table.

“Inquisitive, I believe that makes everyone, yes.” Mary asks everyone at the table.

A small collection or murmurs of agreement seem to come forth.

“Very well, then let’s get this session under way. Most of us know one another, but if our lady of the evening hasn’t met you, please stand up and introduce yourselves.” Mary says showing a hand to you.

Two Gemelli stand up, both of them being instantly familiar. “Brooklyn met both of us before, but not officially. My name is Lita Magnasson.” the girl with frizzy hair and oversized glasses say to you in a smug expression.

“And I’m Aria Vanderez.” a hispanic looking Succubi next to Lita replies. “We’re technically the real leaders of the Gemelli, we just install a puppet leader to take the hits for us when we run the paper.”

“My name is Yuri Olga, Emissary for the Miyian Leader Grendel Beck. Sir Beck apologies that he isn’t able to make it here today.” a woman with short green hair says standing up, a sweater of her own on before she sits back down.

“And to both of you, I am Lady Brooklyn Browning. It’s a pleasure to meet all of you.” you say with a small bow of respect while remaining seated in front of your superiors.

“Now our first order of business today will be the talk of making a small colony outside of Old TO. Lady Browning, do you have the details on that?” Arum, still dressed in her dancer outfit, asks.

“That I do.” you reply, making a holographic map of the path to Old TO, Fort Hope, and the abandoned town. “My associates recently cured a small town nearby of a necromancer problem with the downside of nearly all the population being turned into some sort of super zombie. We are now left with a virtual ghost town. All the buildings perfectly intact with no one to live in them.”

“This town is awfully close to the territory of Lord Aritcus.” Ishtar points out.

“Yes, but Articus doesn’t care about a town whose only payment of taxes is animal pelts and fish. They were worshipping Celestian religion for years with a poorly disguised entrance under the town hall. I believe that if we manage to get a group of Succubi there, Articus will be none the wiser.” you reply.

“Only foolhardy people would rush to such a place.” Yuri replies with a sigh. “Celestia owns those grounds, and they hold onto their lands tighter than Pride Demon’s do with their tax money. I say they’re only letting these grounds appear safe, then the very moment we ship a group of Succubi in, they’ll just send down squads to kill them all.”

“Which is why I think we should use this town as some sort of advanced listening post and secret forward base. If Celestia does an attack on the town, then an entire town full of trained soldiers will be the last thing they’d expect, and they will not tell the Pride Demons about this. Meanwhile it could allow us to significantly cut down on the time spent gathering information about Lord Atticus's lands.” Rebecca chimes in.

Just like clockwork it happened. The Miyian Ambassador is advocating usage against the camp while Rebecca is advocating the listening post.

(“You can’t deny it’s a good idea.”) Rebecca replies.

While I see the practical usage of the town in a military light, Having such a presence would only encourage it to be attacked, as in the event of an intelligence leak, anyone who was told there was a high combat prescience in a small town would immediately question why such a combat force was there."

Should we mention that we have the remains of Langly's Old World Anti-Demon Robot? “I concur with this statement. We have Succubi of all clans who would jump at chance to leave Old TO provided they would be safe.” Mary replies.

“My contribution to the plan will be the underground railroad that’d move them. Once they’re in the town and settled away then that’s not my jurisdiction anymore.” Arum replies.

“You can’t seriously tell me that you’re planning on sending a group of Succubi to the town without some form of guard.” Rebecca comments.

“Not at all.” Lita replies. “While I do not agree with Rebecca’s statements on making such a location a listening post, I am all for gathering a least a small number of martially inclined Succubi.”

“Seconded.” Aria replies.

“There are quite a few Belkarians who wish to raise a family peacefully. If I would give them an offer of protecting a town unlikely to be attacked by nothing more than wolves or Yeti’s, I’m sure they’d be delighted with the opportunity.” Freudia replies.

“Given the crude conditions of the Miyians, I’m sure there are no shortage of Miyian’s who wish for the same thing.” Mary says to Yuri. “We could use the Miyian speciality of widespread cloaking to help mute any sort of scrying.”

“I’m sorry, but the Miyian’s simply cannot take that risk. Only the Ayarian’s have lower numbers than us, and populating a town literally within walking distance of Articus’s lands is a suicide town. We might as well be giving anyone who wishes to go there timed explosives. Either way any Succubi there would be living on borrowed time.” Yuri replies.

(“...She has a mental shield, I can’t read her Brooklyn.”) Erika replies.

(“I don’t think you need to read her mind to know that she’s against this plan because Brooklyn’s an Okarian.”) Rebecca replies in your head. (“She’s just be polite about such a thing, even though I know for a fact the vast majority of her clan wants out of Old TO.”)

You stop talking as you literally feel the entire facility shake.

“...What was that?” you ask the group.

“We’ve been compromised.” Mary quickly replies.

“Relax, we have emergency exits for just this sort of thing.” Arum says.

As she says this, stronger rumbling can be felt in the facility, bits of the ceiling now falling down on our head.

“...And that?” Yuri asks.

“I’m pretty sure that’s the sound of our emergency exit exploding.” Aria replies.

“Then we fight our way out!” Fredika declares standing up, firm grip on the katana from her side. “We’re all the strongest members of our race, and it’s time we show our worth as leaders.”

“Speak for yourself.” Arum replies sheepishly as she sinks below her chair.

“Brooklyn! Look out!” Erika says grabbing you by the collar and pulling you back.

The door of the meeting room suddenly blows open. Thick sheet metal clangs on by where you were just a moment before, moving before suddenly crashing into the back of the wall. A Succubus also flying towards the back wall with such force she makes an indentation inside of the stone.

“M-Mistress Rebecca! Ru-” The Succubus is cut off when a laser beam comes out from the smoke in the door, making a hole directly where her heart is.

A tall Pride demon with a sick and twisted grin on his face comes out from the smoke. Full plate armour being pitch black. A single longsword at his side, black in the middle but white around the bladed tip. “Hhheellllloo ladies... Oh... Oh fuck... It’s Dis... One of the Demonic Generals who are supposedly on par with Articus.

You look around Dis, only to see what appears to be a dozen or so Pride Demon knights behind him, followed with even more Simoian shock troops behind that.

“IT’S AN AMBUSH!” Fredika says as she bolts off towards the direction of Dis, her speed so fast that in a single blink you would’ve missed her movement.

...Only for her blade to be interlocked with Dis’s, Dis himself appearing to have inhuman speed and reaction as well.

Oh fuck... Ohfuckohfuckohfuck... OK... Remember what was said to you. Dis’s powers are that of Light and Dark, meaning he should have similiar powers as you...

(“Lady Brooklyn, I suggest we get out of here NOW!”) Erika says nearly screaming in your mind.

...light and dark interact very poorly/explosively.

>>
>>32985072

we need to secure an extraction for the Leaders... We could all work to take down Dis & his troops, but that would only further rile up the Pride Demons...

Using Explosive attacks should be rather effective due to the enclosed space, but may result in cave-ins... Could we blast a tertiary exit and blast it closed, then keep detonating the tunnels until we can escape to higher ground and scuttle?

We can’t let the leaders get captured! Do what you can to help them escape, but don’t do anything too careless!

(“But Lady Brooklyn! We’re hopelessly outmatched here!”) Erika replies.

Let the Succubi Leaders fight the bigger ones, just concentrate on providing support or we’re never getting out of here alive!

Upon saying this you immediately try to help by summoning several dozen soligram clones behind Dis, who is slowly being pushed back by Fredika into the hallway. One of the nearby Pride Demon knights lashes out to attack it, only to be consumed by the explosion.

“...Exploding clones? Did you honestly think such a trick would even work on me!?” Dis says as he kicks Fredika away and back into the meeting room. Dis reacts by holding his hand above his head, generating a small ball of light energy that begins lash out with multiple beams in the room, cutting apart nearly all the soligrams in less than a second.

Mary heads over to the back of a nearbyy wall. “Someone cover me, I’m going to tr- Ack!”

Mary seems to spiral onto the ground, falling down to the ground instantly. Looking up at the ceiling, you can see a man up in the rafters, now getting his throat slit by Arum who kicks the body down upon the table. Looking back to Mary, you can see a dart that’s now sticking out of her neck.

“My body... It feels numb...” Mary manages to mutter out.

Ishtar joins in on the fray as well, firing high powered lasers from her hands in order to cover the fusion of Aria and Lita. Dis only seems to react by parrying the physical shots while a orb of opaque golden light bends Ishtar’s beams.

“Dis! Your diabloical Lord’s mistreatment of Succubi ends here today, beginning with your life!” Fredika says as she begins another charge towards Dis.

“Not if I take yours first.” Dis replies to Fredika as she charges him, Fredika seeming to hit nothing but air as Dis literally seems to teleport behind her, striking her in the back.

Swift learner is 175, sorry. We can also get Improved Critical (100p per rank) for one weapon/magic type, which increases our crit rate by 5% per rank (and we can get multiple ranks in one type).

We need Space Control at Good or higher I imagine. We could try some AoE shadow-teleportation, but Dis will follow us. One way or another, shit's going down.

(FUCKING FINALLY)

I’m going over to help Mary! Erika, do your best to hold the line!

You rush over towards Mary, summoning a ring of explosive Soligrams around the group that tried to drag her away. They all rush towards the assailants and begin to explode in rapid succession.

“Mary! Mary can you hear me!?” you ask, kneeling down to pick her up.

“Brook...lyn...” Mary seems to fight to get out those words. “My body... I... Can’t...”

You remove the dart from her neck, teleporting up to the rafters in order to be out of sight. “It must’ve been poison. Just hang onto reality the best you can.”

“Be a good girl and just become unconscious already! I’m in need of a new maid anyways!” Dis cackles from down in the hall.

“GO TO HELL MONSTER!” Fredika roars in response.

Litaria is now fully formed, the merged form of Aria and Lita wasting no time as she rushes off into the hallway. Ishtar continues to fire down high powers blasts of light, while Yuri herself seems to have dropped her minigun and has taken out what appears to be a flamethrower, firing down a huge gout of flame down into the corridor.
As you look around you, several figures whom are in the rafters are already heading towards you. You gather up some darkness energy in your hand as you prepare for your next move.

A) Throw a charged up Annhilator shot at one of the assailants
B) Throw up exploding soligram clones to fight them.
C) Just make a large bubble of darkness and try to hide along with Mary

TO clarifiy, this means the next time he charges up a big light or Dark Spell we use a combination of space control and the opposing element to effectively teleport the magical equivalent of antimatter into the middle of his spell.

Pass the C-toxin canisters and the syringes to Arum using shadow teleportation and have Erika explain them and their use via telepathy.

After that some annilhator shots for covering fire and assisting the team as possible.

Any way to go anti poison?

we should pass the toxin syringes to Arum first, then see about countering Dis's spells
>>
like the making one of dis spells backfire but primary objective is keeping mary safe via clones
>>
>>32990623
Not sure that we can run.

If there ever was a time to break out all the stops, now would be the time. Erika, start relaying the plans of what I’m thinking to Arum.
(“Q-Queen Miyu's weapon!?”) Erika gasps in shock.
Not like we have choice in the matter. That bastard forced our hand in this.
You quickly reach out and materialize the container, throwing in a random midair direction. After which you begin scrying on the area down below, trying to get a good view of what's going on in the hallway aside from complete chaos. Litaria is currently trying to force her way past three Pride Demon knights, who are currently protecting Dis as he holds Fredika by her hair.
“Pity, I'd have open she would've lasted longer. Take her away.” Dis comments as he throws Fredika down the hall like trash.
“YOU MONSTER!” Ishtar roars, putting both of her hands together to fire what appears to be a monstrous light beam down the path of the hallway. The beam of light actually punches clean through one Pride Demon Knight before meeting with Dis's blade, splitting the beam of light in two. Dis doesn't seem to be moving back from the attack, he actually seems to be advancing despite the immensely concentrated beam of light coming from Ishtar.
You try to lie in wait to counterspell Dis's attacks, but it's proving to be immensely difficult. You're firing off beams of light from one hand and tentacles of darkness from the other to try and hold off the incoming assassins. It's not like he's using magic right now anyways.
A sharp pain can be felt coming from your back, turning around to only see one of the assassains fall dead behind you with a C-toxin needle thrown into his neck. You grit your teeth as you use a tentacle to pull out the knife from your back.
Erika jumps up to the top of the rafters, hopefully she'll be here momentarily to help you.

Shadow-spike graveyard the rafters, trying to shift it slightly so that Arum doesn't get hit.
If we can do this then have time to counterspell, do so. Since we got stabbed, we most-likely have been poisoned.

You decide that protecting Mary is your top priority right now, plus getting these damn assassins out of the way would give you some breathing space at least.

You summon up the power of darkness within your hands before making a large array of hellish spikes of darkness. A few assassins manage to leap away, but many of them are impaled by the spikes, clutching their legs in pain. Two of them immediately leap back, throwing what appears to be knives at you, only to have both the knives deflected by Erika whom leaps in front of you.

Glancing down at Dis, you can see him continuing to walk into melee range with Ishtar before he finally slugs her across the jaw with his fist, sending her sailing across the room. He then reaches behind and throws his blade towards Ishtar, literally impaling her on the wall with the weapon, Ishtar coughing a mouthful of blood as she's impaled.

“I know you're known as the Burning Light, but you've still got a long way to go before you've even close to my league.” Dis says to her as he continues to walk towards her. Just as he says this, a needle comes out out of the rafters, hitting Dis squarely in the neck. Dis lurches for a second, stumbling before pulling out the needle in his neck. “Find the damn pest in the rafters already!”

...OK, he sure as hell felt that, but he's not stopping. Then again, Articus himself seemed to take nearly a several dozen but he's still (barely) alive today.

Just as you continue thinking, a nearby grating falls down from on top of the roof, looking down from you up above is Alex.

“Alex!?” you yell in surprise, him being the LAST person you'd expect to see here.

“Lady Brooklyn, we have no time! We have to leave NOW!” Alex says reaching down for you.

>>
>>32991996
>>32992101
He hasn't been casting. He's basically just using melee abilities and possibly Time control for enhanced reflexes (we don't have it, so we can't interrupt it if he has it).
>>
>>32991996
Agreed
>>
>>32992288
Honestly, this always happens. A suggestion has plurality support, gets put off 2-3 times, the suggesters get angry that they are (arguably) being ignored, cue mini shitstorm.
Personally, I just want to get all the leaders out so we can finish our plans to set up the village under our rule. Honestly, I'd really like to be able to plan things without everything blowing up before we can accomplish anything.
>>
>>32992494
>>32992494
The only way I can realistically think we can win this is with a combo attack via Erika, doing as much distraction from everyone, then dumping all of our Aether to create some sort of Final Spark/Final Annihilator Spark and praying it weakens Dis enough so we can run/have Rebecca break his mind.

And that's a big if.
>>
>>32992568
Then lets try it.
>>
>>32992568
Did we use all our C-toxin and syringes because we should use those first.
>>
>>32992494
Lets be honest, the plan to gradually build up our strenght was basically invalidated the instant Diss went through that damned door. Which pisses me off, because dealing with the problems your plans crop up is fun, but having your plans repeatedly invalidated before you even get to stage 1 is just annoying as hell.
>>
>>32992629
We gave them all to Arum because shit was/is fucked.

I base our chances of survival more on Dis's arrogance then anything else.
>>32992632
A plan mostly invalidated by previous screw-ups (not hiding our identity when dealing with the clan leaders in Old TO) and a certain someone who was going to betray us.

I just hope we get a reasonable outcome from what we have done (Sandact's a fair QM, so I'm hoping to the positive).
>>
>>32992749
>A plan mostly invalidated by previous screw-ups (not hiding our identity when dealing with the clan leaders in Old TO) and a certain someone who was going to betray us.
We were also told flat out that we couldn't help with the security for the event.
>>
>>32992788
Yeah, that's crap. I'd much rather have had the meeting be done through communication rituals, thus stopping the possibility of a raid.
>>
>>32992749
>Sandact's a fair QM, so I'm hoping to the positive
True. He has a remarkable ability to step on landmines though. He's getting better about that
>>
>>32992930
At least he's learning.
>>
>>32992788
To be honest, the thing that annoys me the most is the fact that Brooklyn can't ever do anything the easy way. Want to go pick up a book? Secret meeting about a mad Scientist. Go on a date? Something will always get in the way. Meeting? Ambush, either by overpowered pride demon or your own dead body. Try to use a didlo? Rare condition just for you. Raid a pride demon supply depo that's supposed to have only mortals? Pride and greed demons everywhere, including one with a grudge.
>>
Alright my connection is getting really fucking bad right now. It took me nearly 20 minutes to load up a single window and catchpa loaded up in 30 minutes. I'm not kidding.

There's no way in hell I can do anything like this by the whims of whatever pixies live inside of my internet connection.

I'll still count votes on what to do next thread though.
>>
So, my thoughts on the matter are thus: If multiple characters are suggesting we get out, unless we have a very good plan, we may want to run. Dis really is that bad. At this point, he's a mage using his basic melee attack and still dealing with us. A previous thread has described him as being one of the most powerful if not the most powerful known aetherics on earth-divided.

I understand everyone's put a lot of time and effort into the political machinations here (myself included), but this may not be the end of the world. We may be able to still be able to rescue the clan leaders at this point and find a way to continue what we've tried to create.

I previously suggested an absolute last-ditch choice. People are free to choose that if they so wish, but it could back-fire on us.

My suggestion here is move to get Mary out, as well as Fredrika if we can. Have Erika move to get out while doing a quick-and-dirty Butterfly Effect on the chances of staying here and fighting Dis in an attempt to subdue him vs. mounting a rescue.

Character sheets for Erika and Alex respectively, if anyone has suggestions for the other characters:

>>32993701
I'm all for getting the fuck out, but not without hte various succubutt leaders here that are knocked out or about to be captured, we let Dis get them and thats it, game over we can't recover ever.

Which is why I was all for counterspelling his bullshit, to get us some breathing room to extract everyone, I even said this, but apparently that and everyone elses votes on it got promptly ignored, because this situation went from salvageable to utterly fucked sideways with no recovery by whatever bullshit Sand pulled, because the last couple updates have been nothing but "nope, can't do that" or something exploding in our face before we even get to attempt it.

This fight, from the very beginning has been utter fucking bullshit and the longer the bullshit goes on, the worse off we are for no good reason.

I am all for bailing on this shithole, but not without the other leaders, because its pretty fucking clear that they are no match and are getting knocked out and captured without us saving their asses, which we're apparently not allowed to do.
>>
>>32993701
>but this may not be the end of the world. We may be able to still be able to rescue the clan leaders at this point and find a way to continue what we've tried to create.
Our only hope we have at all, is to get them out right now, we leave them behind and we're done for, game over, and it seems that Sand doesn't want us getting them out...
>>
>>32992494
>Honestly, I'd really like to be able to plan things without everything blowing up before we can accomplish anything.
as if that will ever fucking happen

Pretty much in favor of this.

You know Sand. You can just interrupt the voting process and say this again (especially when the decisions are critical). Some people may have missed your first message.

Anyway I am all for bailing out with the other leaders. I would consider it a failure if we just escape on our own (with who ever is close to us right now)

>You know Sand. You can just interrupt the voting process and say this again (especially when the decisions are critical). Some people may have missed your first message.
Or at least check to ensure that he isn't voting for the previous post. Which he was. Thus making his vote irrelevant anyway.
>>
It might have just been me but I got the same frustration from this as playing xcom classic. Which is to say more frustrating than not (in the newer xcom anyways)
>>
Jesus fucking christ, something's getting through for once.

Brooklyn didn't counterspell because as one person pointed out, there was nothing to counterspell. Aside from the Light magic he used to get rid our clones (Which I admit I probably fucked up there for not counterspell, but for the other times you had no chance to do because the opportunity didn't exist).

Now I hate to call a thread here, but I'm going to have to. My internet is buggy as hell right now, and I have no idea if this bullshit with it is going to continue like yesterday or into today. It took *literally* 20 minutes to load catchpa, which by the time I tried to post catchpa told me I inputted it wrong.
>>
>>32999688
>Brooklyn didn't counterspell because as one person pointed out, there was nothing to counterspell.
Actually, that other person was slinging around Light spells. If we were prepping to drop light or dark on the vicinity of Dis, its reasonable that we could have given her attack a boost.
>>
>>32999688
well thanks for the thread Sand
>>
>>32999859

Thanks, but it pains me to leave a thread like this. Partially because I was unable to post in order to explain previous things, and the other in that I really didn't want to cut something off mid battle.

Still, I've read some comments and think I've got some sort of decent plan/compromise to make most people happy
>>

Looking forward to the next thread.

>>32999688
>Brooklyn didn't counterspell because as one person pointed out, there was nothing to counterspell.
Then it's useful to point this out during the voting process, instead of just going with 2nd option.
