OPENING
>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F468us4qCUE

Previously: Cerulean arrived upon a mysterious island after a mission to rescue shipwrecked personnel had gone awry due to mysterious humanoid monsters.

Meeting the natives, Cerulean found aid in the form of a humanoid monster by the name of Kurojo, a tusked Kahkori of Kakarkiko island.

With his and his uncle's help, she had been reunited with Marine, her friend from training and childhood.

After killing a fierce foe reviled by Kahkori, Cerulean fell ill, and was given a cure by Kurojo. In the village, she learned of a strange ability and found herself able to utilize "Aura."

Journeying with Kurojo, Cerulean and Marine make it to the joint city of races amongst the island chain. It is there in Raguna city that she fights to the death with a rambunctious Smolderan.
Slipping out of her right mind, she executes her foe with absolute certainty, earning her some recognition with a Smolderan leader and the right to engage in a hunting exam at his request.

Cerulran takes a test with another species known as the Araraki, an infallibly polite and timid representative of her people.
Upon completing the hunt, they are put through a naming ceremony and engage in some festivities, taking a somewhat heavier turn as Akabaron, Vi-Smohkan of the Smolderan, goes over his deal with Cerulean.

Charter the construction of a boat with Kurojo's aid...

>The Terror Of Death
Hello, Skieth.
>>
water gun
an ice move
psybeam

acceptable?
>>
>>32905295
So, here's a tentative list

>4 XP - Water Gun (Rank 5)
>2 XP - Ice Shard (Rank 3)
>2 XP - Lock On (Rank 3)
>2 XP - Aura Combat (Rank 3)

Which would leave us with 2 XP, which we could use or for any other move you guys want to upgrade.
>>
>>32905295
reposting my ideas for new moves:

Horn Tackle+Aqua Jet=Rocket Ram

Webbed hands:
We got good surface area for an Ice Slap

Maybe lash our tail around to deflect projectiles and deter people from approaching?

So a Narga's tail lengthens during its slam attack. Assuming this means that its elastic, can we make some sort of Water Gun/Aqua Jet powered Steel piledriver?
>>
>>32905374
We lost Horn Tackle, unless we can use them like ram horns or something.

If you want to combine Aqua Jet with something, how about Slam? Since that's pretty much what the water monster did and we've got a much stronger tail now.
>>
>>32905295
Prof, you still haven't included in the pastebin that Ceru had the crytten/bliger's nose/smell receptors.
>>
>>32905295
>>32905422
Or Ceru's webbed fingers and toes. Unless you don't think they need mentioning, like Ceru's secondary pair of eyelids and ability to plug her nose.
>>
Icy Wind
Water Gun
Aura Combat
>>
>>32905295
Have you worked the modifiers out yet?
>>
>>32905295

>>

As for SP allocation:
Icy Wind
Psybeam
Psybeam
Lockon
>>
>>32905374
>>32905392
Moves like that aren't even good. they put is in incredibly close range, and unless we're finishing them off that's bad for us.

Aura Combat 3
Vacuum Wave 3
Lock On 3
>>
>>32905472
The idea is to smack them away with the combined force, anon.

I though the idea was to get the stat spread sperging out of the way last thread?

No, it costs the current rank to upgrade a skill. If it's at rank 2, it takes 2 XP to rank it up to rank 3.

90% of monsters are much much bigger than us.

I suggest we
Aura Combat 3
Vacuum Wave 3

Psybeam 3

And Skills are gained by the cost of the rank unless otherwise specified.
>>
I'm really disappointed in the lack of Vacuum Waves in the majority of the suggestions. Kurojo's Vacuum Wave was super effective against Narkage (no I'm not talking about the Force Palm finisher, his early Vacuum Wave specifically got a named Super Effective bonus), so it should be our attack of choice when Narga is on the ground, switching either to Water Gun or Icicles when it's airborne (ice's type effectiveness was ambiguous, there wasn't a penalty, but I don't remember if prof does Not Very Effectives in the tally, or just includes it in the damage, where it was noted the icicles couldn't penetrate its steel underarmor). Water is practically guaranteed neutral damage though, and freezing water guns around it's wings in flight with Icy Wind sounds appealing.

You step out from the ship's cabin to feel the roll of the waves rocking the vessel as it's carried along speedily by the ocean's road. The sun shines down harshly, passing over your glistening white fur to deliver the salted heat of a tropical day upon the ocean.

The captain of the captain of this vessel has given you free passage as he's the one that brought the notice of the monster. It's no hunting boat, instead a smaller vessel with enough room for a small crew and passengers. Oiled nets and fishing tackles lend you to believe that this vessel is originally used for catching monsters just off coastlines. Not much a seaworthy vessel yet the sails keep on strong as it speeds along with a tailwind along the current. You should be at the hunting destination in no time flat.

Nala invited herself along, staying below deck to oil and sharpen her equipment, that giant slab of a sword of hers apparently needing more maintenance than you'd reckon. Or rather, she's more comfortable in the fact that she doesn't see the ocean.
When she heard that the four of you- the Araraki's here too- were taking on The Terror Of Death she wouldn't take no for an answer. Besides, with Akabaron gone, she said she'd need to occupy herself somehow.

As for the issue of your index, she's delegated it to other Smolder. “Guild” police will be looking for the culprit while you're away. And then Lord Hao of course.. It's likely that he already knows you've left the city.
As you lean against the railing of the ship, you make to brush back your hair over an ear, only to find that it's too short to do so. One of the fuzzy black and white organs twitches, and you listen to the sound of the waves breaking against the hull, a sea-green foam left in the wake.

Kurojo comes up on deck, talking with Marine, helping her practice Raguna common. The captain and his small crew have wary looks, a bit abashed by the group that they've gotten.
It's likelu that they expected an all Kahkori hunting party to take on their request. Instead, they get a Smolder, and Araraki, a Kahkori, a white smolder, and a thing they've never seen before.

Apprehension boils in their hearts. You decide it'd be a good idea to get some training done to ease their spirits...

You begin with a short meditation, tapping into the power of aura and sparring with Kurojo and Marine while the Araraki watchs from the mast, her tail curled around the wood and looking on with a languished sadness.

You feel yourself get better, and faster at anticipating blows. Marine's quick to keeping up, though it becomes obvious that she favors her burned right hand, using only the shell to block while returning blows with her left and feet. Her strikes are soft, if only so that she doesn't break you or Jojo like a twig.

After that hand to hand training, you break away to practice your water gun and icy wind, surprising the sailors by firing water instead of the expected fire, and sending out bolts of ice, aiming for careless seabirds flying too close to the ship.

The heat of the sun drives you to reinforce your chill and the distance of the birds forces your aim steadier.

Birds go down and you cold power is focused.

The Araraki sleeps, her tail wrapped around the mast, unmoving as appears almost to stand upon the mast.

You, Kurojo, and Marine descend into the ship, getting some sleep for the big day.

>Aura combat up!

>>
With the next two days, you train, refining your skill and being wary of screw ups on your part to put the hearts of the sailors at ease. You hear stories of the Narga-Kage, the terror of death from some of the crew.

“When it' blade shines, it can cut through nigh-anything in th' world.”

“Our Wave hunters tried t' slay it, their aura had been severed, and their lives whisked away into the night. In the wood of a Narga-Kage, no one hears your screams. Only a dreaded silence.”

“It does not move during the day. Yet when the sun sets, it moves like a shadow that walks and bites at your very heel. This is why we call it the terror of death.”

You ask how many it's slain, and where is might reside. “No one knows... The ones that confront it are spirited away. We only got away by taking our boats. And we've tried trackin' it by day but... We can't feel it.”

“And footprints?”

“It walks on the trees, and dances across through the wood like a whirling reaper.” The sailor shakes his head,” No. we 'avn't been able to track it. Lil' cub. We be ask'n ye t' kill death itself. Are ye up fer th' task?”

>>
>>32907303
Can you see through Curtians?

the only way to protect us from Flash would be to completely cover our eyes.

Anything that stops the Light, stops our Vision.

Also, it's like 2 inches of armor from the Forehead to the bottom of the eye. That's all a visor would add.
>>
>>32907255
You can get glasses that get darker when there's more light, protecting your eyes from the sun while driving and still being useful at night. Although that technology sounds like something you'd find in the Dome.

5 feet?
10 feet?

All vision is Light coming in. The very basis of blocking Flash (Blocking light coming) block our Vision (which is light coming in.

“I'll be careful. If something bleeds it can be killed” You say with confidence, and an affirming nod.

The captain eyes you warily, “Cub, y' 'aven't seen a Narga-Kage, have ye?” He shakes his head, retiring to his quarters as the sun sets another day. “Yer th' hunter. You signed on.”
His words leave you wanting. Instead of you easing his worries, he's become more concerned for you. How dangerous is this monster, really?

The ship comes into port, morning of the next day. For the first time on the trip, Nala comes up above deck, clad in her green scaled armor, her colossal blade affixed upon her back, mismatching her lean and muscular form.

A visor is set down, and she exhales fire through an opening for her feral snout. “May I never get sea legs.” She gripes, coming descending down the plank, “Accursed ship and sea.” Without Akabaron's supervision it seems that her temper reaches the surface, boiling within her like an electric kettle ready to blow.
“After we kill this thing, we're staying in the village for some time. I wouldn't be able to stand another trip.”

You don't bother to argue, it'll just turn her wrath upon you.

“Aye Miss Nala!” Marine's figured out some words, though it seems that she can at least understand Raguna better.

The Araraki slides off the ship quietly and Jojo taps the hilt of his sword for good luck.

The island is almost familiar. Large towering trees looming overhead, the calls of many monsters echoing through the trees, a call back to old days of the world that you'd only thought to experience in the Veridian Wood.
>>
>>32908096
Who could forget itty bitty kitty titty committee chairwoman?

Your landing is a dock not far from the village, an obvious explanation as to why they haven't been starved, at least, so long as it's not attacking the village itself.

“We should get started, sooner it's slain, the sooner they owe us for the venture. We'll be able to get bed and food then. Until that time... We head to a campsite.”

“A campsite?” You ask, following after the Smolder as she hurries off, her burdened body still lithe and fluid upon the sands.

“Yes.. In a location that offers a hunt, they are required to set up guild-sanctioned campsites near enough to several monster's territories. There, we can eat, sleep, and carry out our business as hunters without directly involving the village or causing collateral damages.”

“Huh.” Is all you really have to say to that. It's impressive though, really. If the dome could do something like that, then they wouldn't necessarily have to send Rangers on long term away missions. “You said we can eat there?”

“Villagers supply some food.”

“Ah.” And that's why it can't happen. Next to no friendly long-term settlements. They'd fall into disrepair if not lived in, wouldn't they?

Passing by the village upon a hidden away trail, you follow a native guide. From here you can see the gleamings of their society through the wood until you're too deep within the wood to see. At least it's safe during the day...

The camp is sparse, half buried and hidden away by camouflaged tarps. It's cool inside, and the clean up of a few nesting bugs is simple.

You see a bed, uncover buried supply of various medicines and other poultices, as well as dried food buried yet deeper in a chest.

The Araraki looks around a moment before heading outside, she's been extremely quiet lately.

Stepping out of the dug out campsite, you find the Araraki slinking about looking at the trees given the time of peace. For now there's no pressing hunt demanding your attention right this second and this neck of the woods is almost like the eye of the storm when faced with the ferocious cycle of life taking place in far off distances of this place.

The Araraki seems to admire the woods, creeping up alongside the colossal trees of Kahkori lands and laying her hands upon them.

“Hey there. What're y' doin?” You call out, disrupting her focus, bidding her to look back.

“We speak. Wood know secrets. Whisper to Green Seers.” Finding her answer satisfactory, she returns her attentions to her communion. You can sense her energy flowing into the tree, connecting with the natural world around the two of you.

Sitting upon a comfortable-enough rock, you draw your legs in and watch, catching some sunlight filtering down in green, speckling the forest floor from the canopy. “I thought yer people hailed from a desert. Talk to cacti there?” You'd only ever seen cacti in Celadon Greenhouses. You were shown them for your environment training.

“No.” She shakes her head with dismissal, “Little life away from oasis. We speak to greens there. These old. New friends.”

You raise an eyebrow, “Ah, think I missed somethin' here. You say that you speak with th' trees? Plants?”

The Araraki confirms it.

“And What do they say? Somethin' like, 'I'm thirsty, water me.' Or, help a bug is eat'n me from the inside?”

She doesn't respond for a moment, “Narga-Kage. It come when sun set. Traps?”

As you head back into the dugout to report your finding to Nala, you see her filling her stomach with the dried meat, tearing off salted hunks as she tinkers with some kind of little device. If your training's taught you anything, it's that it definitely looks like some kind of bomb set to go off with a trigger.

She seems busy and you don't want to accidentally set it off, so you side up with Kurojo as he runs a whetstone along his blade, sitting on the edge of a bed large enough for many even if it's not the most comfortable thing.
Sitting next to him, you catch his eyes flicker over to you, and you smile. “I've heard stories about it since my youth... Ceru. You know that not all Khakori have the wave? I was born into a family that had the blessing... But when you have it all your life and suddenly you can't see with it. It's terrifying. You know what I mean?”

“I think I have an idea. It's like losing your eyes, huh?” You keep an even temper and scoot a little closer beside him, a perpetual little grin on your face.

“I'll be blind fighting it. We'll all be blind.” The metronome of hos whetstone is soothing against the blade.
“Stories say that Narga-Kages are bigger and even faster. Chasing after one is like pursuing your own shadow. You'll never catch it, and it'll always be close to you.” He finishes a side of his sterling blade and sets upon the other, the odd glimmer is brighter than any steel. It'll be what you have to watch for to avoid its blades.

>Grim Reminder: A Silver shimmer is followed by the terror of death.

You shudder as you dimly recall when your arm was cut off by the thing. Everything went black after that... And now Kurojo uses one of those very blades.

“Are you going to be okay? Can you fight it?” You lean a bit closer to him, looking him in the eyes, catching his gaze reflecting yours as your visions meet.
>>
For a moment, you feel like he wants to say something. And you get a feeling of what you'd like to hear. It's like a static electricity that pulls the two of you closer... Until you force yourself to look away.

You feel him turn, sharpening his blade furiously to push back that moment the two of you shared, “I'll be fine, just take care of yourself, okay?”

“I should be saying that to you...”

Nala looks like she's about finished with her device, looking over it now for any imperfections or fault in its features.

It sounds like Marine's doing something outside. She's... moving something.

You head outside, searching for the source of a subtle rumbling. You find Marine hoisting up rock, from the ground, tearing them out and stacking them up, looking on with curiosity at the bugs that dig away into the dirt, before resuming her little bit of exercise.

“Um, Marine? What are you doing?” You sneak up behind your friend, startling her a bit as she hoists a rock larger than herself overhead.

“Ah, eh, ummm. Hey Ceru.” She drops the stone to the side, looking back at her work. “Uh, I heard from the Araraki that the target scopes out this place first. Thought I'd make us some kind of a hideyhole or at least have a rock set up to smash it with or something...” She puts a dirty thumb in her mouth to bite away the apprehension some.
“Sorry I don't really know what to prepare for. I wasn't really awake to fight one of these things before.”

You put a hand on Marine's shoulder, feeling the hard scale of her armor and pull her into a gentle hug. “It's okay Marine.” You say as she lets herself be hugged. Marine really does smell like a fish though... Heh.
Pulling away, you smile at her for reassurance, “Just watch out for the silver blade and you'll be fine. Punch it right in the schnoz!”

Marine pumps a fist, blowing hot air out of her nostrils, “Yeah, I'll hit it right in the schnoz!”

>Teammate pumped! : Marine will be more careful, and take an opportunity that presents itself.

With that, there doesn't seem to be anything left to do but speak with Nala and prepare for the night.

As you walk back to the dugout, you notice a colossal shadow upon the ground, as though a cloud passed overhead.

You look up however, and you don't see anything. The sun streams through the canopy just the same as before. Gentle breezes rocking the leaves, and from the breaches in the forest cover, you can see that there's not a cloud in the sky nor a monster butting in on your business.

Locked up in terror for a moment, you take a step. Not seeing the shadow's return, nor it's insistence on returning after its sudden flight, you relax only slightly and hurry back to the dug in camp. “Marine, get inside, come on, lets go!”

“What? What's going on?”

“Hurry!” Marine runs behind you and you just can't get to safety fast enough, sliding in through the entrance, your heart pitter pattering a hundred miles a minute.

“I saw something!” You shout breathlessly to the others, turning their attention to you. You switch over to Raguna. “It... It was like a shadow, a shadow o'er the ground, and... There wasn't anything makin' it, just- just a shadow! I don't know what it was but it was just a shadow!”

Marine grabs your arm to help steady you, and you look at her, breathing out of astonishment rather than fatigue. “Ceru, what are you talking about? I was out there with you.”

You nod, and take her hand off of you gently, not all that forceful. You. You are not hysteric. “I saw a shadow. On the ground. It ran away. And I didn' see what was mak'n it.”

Nala smiles, calm and collected, her blood a slow simmer as she tastes the winds of the hunt,”So, it's come to scope us out.”

“What are you talk'n about, 'it'?”

“One of its titles is 'Living Shadow.' You didn't think it was on the same level as the pup you wear, did you?” Nala rises, rolling her shoulders, making sure that the armor's joints are well greased, and her own are flexible and ready for some heavy duty work.
“You know, they say that a hunt is three days of boredom, and five minutes of fighting... We need to prepare, it will strike at sunset.”
>>
>>32910740
We should try to capitalize on Marine's mudfighting capabilities. Kurojo, Ceru, and Nala (probably) can traverse on the trees easily enough, but Marine should specialize on the ground. Considering how heavy the monster is, it'd have a hard time moving around the ground.

The Araraki doesn't need to move much herself, but I think she can travel by tree as well? Going by the Ordile hunt, anyway.

Nala, a Smolder with tons of natural experience, fire, and a bigass sword.
Ceru, a CatSeal with powerful guns, sniping with ice and water. Also a bit of coverage.
ULTRAmarine, a tanky Fish with water and fighting.
Kurojo, a melee fighter with a steel sword

Nala collects information from each of you, formulating a plan.

“We need to alter the terrain. Ultramarine” She points to your friend, and she lights up with delight. “Set those stones of yours around the field behind the camp. I'm going to set up this trap on one.” She shows the device that she's been fiddling with earlier. It looks like some kind of landmine. “When it's activated, it'll blast the beast with bolt bugs. We'll have a short window before it recovers unless its exhausted and weakened. I need to ask now though.”

She leans over the table that you're all gathered around for the meeting,“You cubs think you can get it as a live capture? We'll base our effort around that.”

“I'd rather kill it.” You confirm with a nod, finding no one at the table disagreeing with you.

Nala nods,”Good call. I've seen them brought in before.. But only from parties with less mouths to feed.” Her voice is solemn, pulling no punches with the gravity of this hunt.
“Well's use the stun mine to give ourselves an opening. Our first priority is to lure it onto the stone with this payload. This gives us our opening, if we miss it... I have a flash bomb to cover our escape. When it goes off, I order you all to retreat. I can make more of these, but you'd be lost. If you die, you're less mouths to feed, yet so long as you live, you're still hunters, and you're under my command for this request, understood?”

Your heart beats hard in your chest, and unconsciously you salute to your commander, a hand to your brow, Marine replicating the gesture.
The Araraki observes this all silently, and Jojo warily looks outside with the slowly dimming sky...

It takes time, but the boulders are set up as platforms, arranged in almost a labrinthine stategy. It allows the lot of you to take cover behind the rocks or come in from above. It's unlike the trees that the beast would be used to, and the stones will prevent it from using the long dragging cuts that it prefers.

Nala sets the stun mine upon one of the stones. “They tend to come in from above. It won't like the restriction of the stones and strike from above. Keep your eyes up, and when the payload's delivered be ready to strike.”

>The field set up is a sparse setup of boulders of varying shape and size, giving you cover and a way to break line of sight with the beast. It allows for decent vertical movement and robs the beast of its prowess among the trees.

You offer up one last addition, watering and icing over select stones to force the monster onto specific ones, lest it slip upon black ice.

>>
Nala guts a small creature and tosses it out into a neutral part of the stones, bait to increase your prey's interest.

The day drags on and lesser beasts are shooed away by gouts of Nala's fire, or snaps of the Araraki's strange power, forcing distance as the sun slowly slips into the horizon, darkening the wood as shadows lengthen and swell. You shudder as the wind brushes past your hair, fearing the whisper of the monster's stealth.

The rustle of the trees sends a cacophony of sounds that tickle your eyes, listening now for the slightest misstep of the terror of death.
You can't hear the others, but you can feel them.

Nala's aura is strung tight. She understands the weight of lives under her command. A veteran and a seldom leader. This is not a game to her.
Kurojo's breathing is steady as he keeps his blade hidden within its sheath, ready to be drawn out for a decisive cut. Underneath that, you can sense his worry, his built up fear at folk legends and more of this apex bogieman.
Marine and the Araraki are probably the most relaxed. Either out of ignorance or sheer courage, you can't quite tell. For as shy as the Araraki is, she shines her true self in hunts like this. Like a fig tree, frail in appearance, yet flexible and unyielding to adversity. It's likely from the conviction of her people.
As for Marine? She's gotten her rock-stubborn exterior built up again. She wouldn't let herself be scared if she tried. Now's not the time.

You breath so shallowly that not even god could hear you as you wait...

Nala bellows, “Attack!”

The Narga-Kage lands as the five of you spring to action, the dull glow off fire illuminating the shadow before it slips back into the trees, disappearing.

You feel absolutely nothing from this monster, it's as though it's not even from this world. Kurojo was right. It's like fighting blind.

From the shadows you see a series of bright flashes and an energy crashes into the boulders, sending crackling veins through that run deep.

You don't want to be hit by that...

Our Water Gun's improved, but it still probably won't be enough to pierce the hide, especially of an adult.

We can't use Icy Wind yet since Nala opened up with a fire attack. Find a better opportunity later.

Your eyes reel from the bright light, narrowing into slits as you're half-blinded by the oppressive energy. You find your way back, shooting into the dark as your eyes recover.
Squinting hard, you try to steady your eyes to secure your sight again.

A second volley of light energy doesn't come and you're relieved for it as you find Jojo's back, his sword drawn and his awareness of you apparent. You can feel Nala guarding another side, and Marine set up, spoking out the darkness as she holds her weapon before her, the frozen teeth ready to bat at any big nasties come her way.

“What was that?” You blink away the blindness, steadily recovering your vision.

“Counterattack. Thing's smart. Figured out the ambush. Clever beast. It won't be easy now that it's confirmed our intent-” Nala's cut short as a shadow looms overhead, perched upon a rock, firing another blast of that intense light. With a flourish, she slams her own iron down into the ground, defending against the brunt of the blow, forced back as the flat of her blade divides the light.

You don't look this time, shielding your eyes instead and returning fire to the spectre. You don't hear the ice misfire and break against anything else, so you assume that the beast is hit. Yet as you look dead on, it's already slipped away, a creeping shadow that's turned your own field into its shooting gallery.

But you notice something important. It's not using its blades. You realize that it must not like the angle, refraining from ending you all with vorpal strokes.

You're trapped. If you leave the safety of the stones, you're free to get cut in twain. But staying here, it'll wear you all out with its ranged attacks.

It did mess up though...

With a deep breath you let out a frigid gale, frosting the lingering humidity in the air, bringing a cold shiver upon you and your allies and giving the wood a clear taste of your frozen power.

The reaction from your prey is swift and decisive, it targets you next, slipping around onto a rock, stumbling some from an icy coating and falling onto the ground as it fires its bright energy. Nala steps before you and takes the brunt of the attack once more, using her colossal blade as a shield.

As the thing starts to retreat, Marine fires out shots of mud, yet catches only shadows. Kurojo makes for a brazen pursuit and slashes nothing but air with the shining blade as he lunges for the target.

As he lands, a second blade shimmers with a ghastly light before dancing across the ground within the shadows like a crescent moon. You slip around one of the damaged rocks and fire out another volley of icicles as Marine comes around the other side, Nala double-timing upon all fours, with her weighty blade slung across her back.

As all of you spring to action, you begin to wonder... Where's the Araraki?

Your icicles go wide, misconstruing the darkness and where the tree target lies. Nala roars, out, thundering into the woods as warning.

The dancing blade shimmers towards Kurojo and he hastily moves to block with his own as he retreats. A silver streak, and the blades clash. A juvenile blade versus an adult one. For that instant, your foe is revealed, the mutual shining blades are absorbed by a pitch-black fur, empty pink eyes and a fanged, weathered beak adorning the beast's form.

It drives Kurojo back with vendetta, riding him right up into one of the great trees before letting him off, only to whip around with a sudden ferocious slash, sending a shining blade flying, burying itself partway into the loamy earth like a headstone.
>>
Marine smashes her Kanabo down upon the beast from behind, yet it finds only air followed by an explosion of soil, a bleary image left in its wake, slipping back into the trees.

You peek out at the broken blade fragment impaled into the ground, holding your breath as it slowly loses its luster.

It was pleasant enough interacting with the others and developing Nala's character was nice.

The fight was, uh...other people have already said it. It wasn't that good so far. Your old tendencies are coming back up again, Prof. No one actually enjoys it when the boss enemy ends up smacking the characters around before the characters get a sudden power-up to win. That's Fairy Tail bullshit, right there. Try to actually make the fight more natural in the next thread, Prof. People enjoy a hard-earned victory over dragging out the enemy's "superiority" and a come-from-behind win. At least, when the latter is extremely overused (which is your problem).
