[rolled 4,24,24,2=54=4 degrees of success!]
You are Michael Groves. Magical girl. Former boy. In the room of your best friend, where you were supposed to have been playing a nice RPG with some friends. And instead fighting for your life and those of your friends against the insane Witch that had originally transformed you into a female.

Not an easy task.

With both hands you swing the long blade down at Angelica, aiming to deal another cutting blow to the armoured, arcane-wielding sorceress – as she brings up the black tentacle that had replaced her severed left arm to parry once again you drag the limb down with your own magics – yanking on the end with a gravity burst, toppling her backwards and lowering her guard enough for your own gravity-assisted swing. It slices down through the armoured bustier, tearing through it in a shriek of tortured metal as she topples backwards. Besides you one of her minions shrieks and claws at her gut.

You do not stop as you step over her, stabbing down – into the broken armor, into the wound beyond, feeling the slight resistance as it pierces the floor beneath.

-Not that easy?

In response, she smiles, her hand closing around the blade that had passed through her, a blossom of blood forming along the blade where it cuts into her skin. Holding it in place as you try to withdraw.

And at that point, the door opens, and Carrie walks in.

Not that easy at all.

[ ] No time for explanations. Kill the Witch. If this won’t do the trick, take her head off. You need to act now.

[ ] Carrie’s going to blunder in if she sees one of her best friends murdering the other – tell her to get back before she does something foolish.

[ ] With Angelica impaled on the floor like this she’s not a threat – explain the situation to Carrie.

Step on her tentacle limb to stop her from using it.

"So it turns out she's the one who's been messing with us and Thomas, including sending that thing to your room."
>>
>>32881210
Like hell, maneuver so we have one foot at the base of the tentacle, the other on the tip, and use gravity to make ourselves heavier.

Without a second thought, you step forwards, the heavy boots you wear pressing down upon the tentacle that struggled to shift out the way – too late, and Angelica lets out an almost orgasmic moan.
“She’s the one responsible,” you state flatly, tugging the sword up – it should have severed her fingers as you wrench it back but her hand sticks to it as if it were glued on it. No matter, you can always make more – letting go with one hand to pull this time a sharp rapier forth to stab at her.
“She’s the one who turned me female, and messed with Thomas, and – who let that monster loose in your room.”

Carrie gasps slightly as you pull the second weapon back and stab it down – it cuts across the Witch’s cheek as she jerks her head to the side at the last moment.

“Look at her, Carrie! She’s growing tentacles! And then get out of here!” You dare not take your eyes off of the threat as you raise the blade again.

“That won’t do, my dearest Michael-“ And she speaks weakly, abruptly dragging herself up off the floor, pushing the blade through herself further. The tentacle stretching and ripping as the girl wipes her own blood on your hand with a simple touch, grasping your arm. “If you kill me like this, she’ll hate you, and that’d ruin all the trouble I’ve had getting the two of you together. Do you know how troublesome that was?”

A slight squeeze was all it took to feel your bones grinding together and you swing at her neck as she lunges forwards, disrupting your blown and tackling you back, squashing your face under her breasts for a moment.

“Get off-!” Your muffled shout is coupled with a push upwards, lifting her off your body and up into the air. She laughs again with an arrogant tone, this time her tentacle finding the time to hook round one blade to disarm you momentarily, to drop down again by your side.
>>
>>32881964
“No, no, Cassie should see how horrible I am first, THEN you can play the part of the hero – don’t you think that scenario plays out a lot better?”

Your control with your left hand is not as good, and the second magical push at her merely makes her stagger – only enough to make her flinch as the rapier bounces off the armoured legs.

“What- why are you doing this?” Of course, the girl in question hadn’t run. You glance back for a moment to tell her to run again, and this time Angelica manages to seize your other wrist more securely. “Stop this, now!”

“Why? –Well, let me deal with Michael here for the moment, and I’ll give you a full speech about why, shall I?” As if treating you as an equal, Angelica pulls you up by the wrist – you see the blackness where your blade had pierced her, the wound a deep gash beyond that she’s holding with her free hand. And then raised up to her darkly grinning face, as if she is enjoying this far too much.

[ ] Spit defiance in her face and attack as best you can with magic and sword again. It’s the best you can do to hold her attention.
[ ] Stop her attacking with questions, draw her off guard again – she seems to be wanting to monologue. Then strike when you’re able to get a lethal blow in.
[ ] Tell her to leave Carrie out of this, that you’re willing to do anything to stop her hurting her.

We have no reasonable expectation of backup coming to save our ass this time. We need to put this bitch down so we can survive long enough to regret making a mess of things later.

Why does she want us to kill her?

Ask her if she gets that us killing her doesn't mean we're taking on the burden of hero, or joining the dark side, or whatever, because she's such an insane dangerous bitch that putting her down is what anyone would do.

Like this goes beyond a shitty tabletop campaign, this is straight up Bioware morality.

Cunt punt her to break her grip, take Carrie, and leave.

We need to stop letting her dictate this encounter.

Insult her and draw unfavorable comparisons between this bullshit.and her poor GMing ability.

The terms "railroading" and "magical realm" should be used.

In effect, deny her as if she were a demon, if she's still smiling we're doing it wrong.

We ate the core of that voice demon, how sbout we tell Carrie to cover her ears and then scream, as loud and shrill as we can?

It’s too surreal to be true. Being held captive by your GM - a beautiful girl manhandling you with a tentacle arm as your struggle to free yourself. Only for a moment as you bite your lip- were you still being controlled, somehow? Was it even possible to tell, given you’d not even noticed the earlier manipulations. But you see the shadowy shapes of the other harem members step up behind Carrie – and you groan, going limp in Angelica’s grasp.

“Don’t- don’t hurt her. Let her go.” You mutter the words half under your breath, half expecting her to laugh in your face. The remaining sword clattering to the floor – knowing you can draw just as swiftly if your hands are free leaves you comforted enough to do that.

“And you’re in a position to make demands, are you?” That devilish smile as she slides bonelessly around your body, hugging against you from behind. Feeling the leather corset around your waist, tugging your arms under your breasts in a criss-crossed fashion. The warmth of her body’s offset by the wetness that seeps down your back – her blood against your skin. As she sits you heavily down on her lap.

“If- if you let her go, I’ll not resist you, then. You can do whatever you want to me.”

Carrie – of all things – steps in closer, a frown on her face as she glances at the girls now surrounding her. Brushing past them contemptuously.
“What did you do to Lindsey and the others? I knew they were giggly and dumb, but not utterly mindfucked.” She seems to have given up all pretense of niceness, kneeling down in front of the two of you with her hands on her hips.

“Carrie, get out of here-“

“At least you’re calling me by my name right, now. Let her talk, will you? The whole house looks like it’s sealed off already, and the rest of my family’s missing, too.”

Around you, the other girls sit in a circle, holding hands together as if in some bizzare ritual.
“Them? Oh, just entertaining diversions to while away the time. Some of them were quite nice boys and girls – it should wear off after a while if I’m gone.”

“And why- aren’t you damn-dying?” The interjection by you makes her laugh, as her hand tickles under your chin a moment. Carrie doesn’t seem to like it either, grimacing at your flinch. Which only makes her tease your neck further.

“If you had as much power as I do now, you’d find some way to strengthen yourself in.. a few ways, I’m sure. You’re not exactly poor at making the most of your talents, either, are you? It’s almost.. intoxicating.” Her breath ghosts along your ear as you turn away.

“How long have you been interfering? And what exactly is the grand plan, anyway?” To her credit, Carrie’s voice Is calm as she speaks.

“Let’s see… you two getting together… your little rabbit demon was unexpected, but I’m glad that you took one of my father’s pets to a good home! I wasn’t involved with the other singing demon in the mall, but that one in your room? Definitely me. And that worked quite wonderfully, didn’t it? Your dear one nobly sacrificing her body to protect your chastity? And all so wounded emotionally for you to put back together. Oh, it turned out better than I expected! And that’s what you wanted too, isn’t it, Michael? To be given a chance to show off for the one you love?”

“As for the grand scheme of things… Let’s say a test, perhaps? And if you fail, off to the rape dungeons! How does that sound?”

“-I’m joking, of course. You’ll both be begging for more, both of you. That’s consent enough, isn’t it? –Ahh, I wanted Thomas, too, but, two out of three is still worth it. Perhaps I can pick her up later?”
>>
>>32883908

“You wouldn’t do that.” Carrie again, interrupting as she leans forwards. “If you wanted to, you’d have turned me into one of those- “ Pointing at the nearest blonde haired, well endowed girl. “You’ve asked for many things, but you’ve never forced me into anything.”

That seemed to have an affect, bringing an end to that salacious laugh.
“You don’t have any idea what I’m capable of, my sweet Cassie. Do you know of the ways I dreamed of defiling you, of taking your body-“

“What’s wrong with you? Who’s telling you to make me a hero? Because at the moment, this plot’s a damn joke!” You spit out the words with vitriol, squirming again in her grasp more to get her used to you moving than any real attempt at escape. “Anyone would put down a crazy person like you, not just a hero! This is worse a morality choice than Bioware!”

It cuts off her rant, and again she’s back into molesting you slowly. Not the best of results, but at least she’s no longer focused on Carrie.

“Why, perceptive, aren’t you? It’s true, I’ve had some… help, but it’s fine if I’m enjoying myself, isn’t it? All this perversion and degredation and warped minds and bodies, playing the part of the bad guy… much more entertaining than just watching two youngsters like yourselves just carry on with your dull little lives. You being a hero’s just part of it, what she wants. I want to see you earn a happy ending. I love you both far too much to let anything else happen.” Another squeeze, another shudder that runs through your body.

“That’s not love, Angie. A loved one wouldn’t do that kind of thing. That’s.. that’s just insanity.” The eyes of your girlfriend are tinged with sadness.

“Then try and stop me!” your captive hisses. “Useless girl, without power or feeling-“

Carrie slaps Angelica.

The blow strikes her hard enough for her to flinch- or perhaps it was the source of the blow – and it’s enough for you to act, smacking your elbow into the open wound – a cry from around you as the brainwashed clique members collapse – and you push away, lifting Carrie and yourself out of the flailing girl’s reach. You toss the blade back down towards her, but carrying you clear throws off your aim, the point skittering off her shoulder as you plunge towards the ceiling.

“If you can’t stop me, I’ll make you love me!” In full rage Angelica lifts her hands above her head as a dark halo forms around her, the furniture and limp bodies alike starting to hover off the ground. “I’ll remake your minds and bodies and you’ll enjoy each moment of it-“

I'd say now is a good time to try screaming, maybe pump some magic into it.

If she can't concentrate, then she can't cast.

Depending on our lung capacity, we can leave while screaming.

If we run she'll probably still be able to follow us. We need to at least cripple her.

Gravity and mass are pretty related, so hopefully we can make something like a big, hyperdense sword and ram it through her fucking heart pinning her to the ground.

[Rolled 5, 12, 12, 2=31: pass! One degree of success!]

Parallel to the window, you turn and slash with a single movement at the window. Beyond, a lurid purple barrier awaits, but it’s no worse than what awaits you and Carrie inside. You swing her through the shattered glass (praying she’s not too badly hurt by it) and round, trusting on your magic to drop her onto the roof.

The multiple immense uses of magic is having its toll on your body, and with the last burst of effort you can feel the remnants of Aether surging through you, building against the pressures of shadow that you’d used up. There’s no time to worry about that now, however – brilliant lightning denudes the ceiling of paint, reaving it clean. The bolts close around you and scorches you for an instant – you don’t see your skirt seared away but the sudden breeze round your legs hints at it. The slithers of pain, you feed into your screech, your banshee-like voice abruptly prefacing your attack in a wordless howl of rage – anger at this bizzare, incomprehensible battle, this insane, hypocritical madwoman who’s been manipulating you all along.

The momentary opening as she curls her arm around her head is clear enough, and the torn armour provides little protection from the third blow you do upon Angelica – this time stabbing straight through her chest – through her heart, if it still existed.

She stiffens, this time herself, not her minions, not with that smug smirk. To lay a hand upon your shoulder as you push her back, forcing her against the wall limply.

“Not showy enough. Still, it’s- good practice-“ Her feet slide out from under her partway, as she puts more pressure on the blade. Not yet collapsing.

You take another breath to scream again, but she’s reached up to catch your hands. “Two places at once. Heart- and mind. Only destroying one will just incapacitate me.”
>>
>>32885245

“…What?” You’d already started to pull the second blade free as she whispers.

“To deal with me. Or don’t you have the guts?” You growl at her comment, knowing it’s foolish to grandstand but wanting a last comment anyway.

“I don’t want to play along with your foolish games. Look at yourself – all that talk about us being more than just your puppets, and here you are throwing a tantrum that we’re not doing what you want. Are you high on your own power or is this really all you are?”

She writhes, impaled, working to keep from sagging further against the wall. Her eyes hint at madness once again as she blinks, staring straight at you.
“I want to do so very many things to you. To all three of you. To show you such wonders that you’d never dreamed of, to experience things you could not imagine.” Her voice grows deeper as she draws you in without thinking, as you fish the second blade out, ready to strike.
“Because I love you all too much. I can’t stop myself from imagining it happening. To play you against one another like toys. To use everything that I have to change you the way I want to.” A hoarse voice, an urgent one.

“I can’t stop myself because I’d enjoy seeing you all as playthings, Michael. I love you too much to see you broken like that, but I can’t stop myself from turning you into what I want you to be.”

She stares unafraid as your sword rests on her forehead drop of blood running down past her eyes. Inviting you to act.

“That’s what I’d do. To her, her brother. To you. Unless you stop me.”

While this is true...look, here's how you need to think of it. "Witch" means that at all times a deranged schizophrenic has an invisible shotgun aimed at your center of mass. Now, the longer you are in proximity with that person the more likely their rapidly altering brain chemistry is going to cause them to pull the trigger, it's not necessarily personal and their reasoning may have no relation to reality, but that won't make you less dead. So yes, we can try talking a crazy person (an armed and dangerous crazy person) sane, but I tend to then you're just letting the clock keep running for something horrible to go wrong.
>>
>>32886609
While on the whole I agree with you, I'd say at this juncture it makes sense to give one last chance.

Also, my main point is that considering we pierced her center of mass so hard she got pinned to the wall, we really should be quicker on the draw.

[x] Don’t do it. A heart or a head strike’s left her incapacitated, and you’re sure Thomas is on his way to get hold of Jean. You aren’t going to play her game, and you’re going to try to save her.

“You just want to be martyred, don’t you?” The sword points don’t move, but you suddenly feel all the more exhausted for staying still. The witch bats her eyes in irritation, blinking the blood out of them.

“Well, screw it. I’m not playing along with your suicide fantasies. I’m not going to kill you just because you’re too weak-willed to rein yourself in. If you try anything I’ll end you, but not in your pathetic state. Jean will be here soon, and I’m sure she’ll be able to wish your powers away or contain you somehow. And then you can choke on loving us and tell us everything you know about whoever “she” is and why you’re in such a hurry to get me to be a hero.”

You can hear the steps from window as someone clambers back down slowly, but you don’t move away from the wall or the still twitching legs below, keeping the pressure on her, keeping the head pressed up against the wall.

“Ah- a hero, then. Wanting to save everyone. Even at the risk to yourself.”
You tense as you hear her words, ready to act if she moves, but- nothing. Just the return of that psychotic smirk flashing back to her face.

And then from your shoulder where her hand is touching you to the base of your feet, a burst of sensation blossoms across your body – paralysing, pleasure/pain tensing your back, toppling you in a brain-frozen ecstasy for a few solid moments. The touch of her fingers on your shoulder had rested there long enough for you not to consider them a threat, and it had cost you, it seems.
>>
>>32887794
“It’s a shame, really. But I really am looking forward to letting you experience all those wondrous things I was talking about-“ You would have cursed if you could, as the dark tendril starts descending upon your body, as she kneels across you, clad in blackened armour-

-Clad in a light t-shirt and skirt-

Angelica cries out as she grasps at her arm between your legs, moments before Jean seizes her round the neck and pulls her back, keeping her in an armlock. Behind her, Atropos sets a clock timer upon the untidy set of drawers beside him, leaning back in his wheelchair.

“Just in time, is it?” he mutters disgustedly. “Better than later, I guess.”

“Three minutes, sir!” Jean’s voice, urgent. “Please act swiftly!”

Carrie had dropped down back into the house – thank goodness, she hadn’t been hurt. She freezes up again as she sees the newcomers, and especially when Atropos lifts himself slowly out of his wheelchair.

The wizened man hobbles closer, looking at Angelica with disappointed eyes.
“I told you about the dangers, Miss Danes, but you didn’t listen, did you?” She hisses and twists in Jean’s grasp, a beautiful tousle-haired girl in the arms of another.
“No- It wasn’t just carelessness. You shouldn’t have been able to build up this much power in such a short timespan, and gain a mastery of such abilities. Who helped you?”

“Two and a half minutes, Sir!”

You try to rise, to say something, but the flashes of pleasure still ache in your veins. You can just watch as you see the Magi pull something silvery out of a coat pocket – a small item, small but sleek.

A gun.

“Tell me who, Angelica. Please.” With a struggle he lifts it, aiming at her head. Pressing the barrel against where you’d pressed your sword-point.
>>
>>32887815
“Sir, the anti-magic effect won’t last forever-“ The Witch leans up, drawing herself to her full height. “Do your worst, you filthy old man. Perhaps this might give you some sexual satisfaction. That’s what gets you off, isn’t it, some young girl’s murder?”

Atropos presses her back with the muzzle only for her to twist her mouth and catch it in her teeth – licking out along the barrel, swirling it against her cheek before he yanks it back, damaging an incisor.

“Don’t play games with me, girl.” The croaking voice was still level as he took aim again.

“A minute and a half!” Jean, still struggling to keep still.

“Michael. Cassie. I love you both very much. Please don’t be too sad-“

She was unafraid when you look at her for the last time, you recall. You stop Carrie from rushing forwards instinctively, catching her before she moves too close. Despite wanting to give Angelica a last chance, she’d chosen her own path, and only by your luck was it that she hadn’t had her way with the two of you.

There was a sharp retort, a flash, and it was over.

Afterwards.
-You hold Carrie. She had been crying while Atropos was talking to you.
“-Did well, surviving an attack by a Witch, even a fledgling one. And did even better in keeping her mental state in turmoil to keep her from focusing her powers. I’m sorry you had to go through that.”

Jean does not look at you, at Carrie, at the body which she’d draped a sheet over.

“Thomas- same as you, it seems – would need to be activated, but has as much magical potential. He’s resting at Jean’s place at the moment. You should probably help him decide whether or not to become a magical girl.” The droning, raspy voice of your Magi was almost too much to handle.

“-Why didn't I tell you? She decided to not become a magical girl. Shouldn't have ever reached these abilities. Why should I break someone’s privacy when they had no way of growing their magic? –Of course, this changes much.”

You almost want to slug him for that last comment.

“Atropos… you monster. You didn't even try to help-*hic* help her!”
Carrie seems more emotional about it. Not unexpected.

“Magic ruined her. Michael and I just finished.”

“Don’t blame Michael- you should have helped her!”

As he looms in your vision, a terribly old walking stick keeping him upright, both of you rear back slightly.

“Miss Winters… One day I’ll introduce you to my house, I think, and then you’ll understand. But, for now, you've a different task.” It’s to you he points to, shivering in her arms as she trembles in yours.

“Too much magic. Not unexpected, given a battle against a Witch. And too much reliance on your shadow – though it’s probably what let you survive.”

He lets the implications sink in.

“You were forced out of your magical outfit with the anti-magic summoning. You’re going to have a change, soon, a permanent one. Try not to let it get the better of you.”

At last he drops back into the wheelchair seat, Jean having set up a pentagram about Angelica’s.. body.

With a flash, they were gone.

You wanted to say something comforting to Carrie. To ease her tears, to calm her. But all you could feel suddenly was your own form warping, mutating, changing.

And at last, as if you freefall into a black pit, you black out.

-Breaker Quest, Act End.

fae plz
you can't cliffhanger us like this
>>
>>32887867
-Thank you for bearing with me for this quest! For the moment, I'm going to be putting it on hiatus due to a new job! Ideally I'll be able to start up again, but it might take a while! I'll try to improve the flaws in my quest technique in the meantime!

Any questions, requests or anything else about the quest would be gladly answered for a while!
>>
>>32887910
Or, requests! I'll put up something on the pastebin if you're wanting to see any particular scene!
>>
>>32887927
as least tell us what the change was!
Thanks for running btw
>>
>>32887952
Roll a 2d6 and find out, dear fan! I'll take "best" of 3!
>>
Rolled 1, 3 = 4

>>32887965
>>
>>32887914
Nicely done Fae! I'll wait in suspense for Act II.
>>
Rolled 1, 1 = 2

>>32887965
>>
>>32887981
Can I just support us using this one?
>>
Rolled 1, 5 = 6

>>32887981
I am happy I rolled this
>>
>>32887927
I like the fights being more serious, helped the tone a lot.
It also forced the permanent change, and the usage of tokens.

Give us a pastebin for the change, and look into how we can build tokens better for when you come back, I'll be looking forward to it.
>>
>>32888007
Whoops disregard those dice, let someone else roll them
>>
Thanks for the thread, I'd say this is my favorite incarnation of Atropos yet, hope he's too grouchy to be evil.
>>
Pick one!

Voice of Authority
-With the command over his voice, Michael's words can sometimes slip out as far more authoritatively than he desires - some may take umbrage to such commands, while other may be all too willing to obey. And want more and more orders...

Rash Seduction
-Somehow, things have gone horribly wrong. Violent or hotheaded acts performed by Michael are seen as a means of seduction rather than of anything else - an act of domination, perhaps, or showing off to impress, or so on!

Revealing Desire
-The change wrought upon Michael seems to be for him to lighten his clothing. To be free of what he has done, he subconsciously starts to desire to strip down, to loose pieces of clothing or otherwise bare himself. Exhibitionist fetish gained.
>>
>>32888388
>Voice of Authority
Sounds so great.
>>
>>32888388
>Voice of authority
I rolled it, plus best option.

Voice of Authority
>>
>>32888388
Fuck yes exhibitionism.
>>
>>32888388
I would totally go for an exhibitionist option. Michael's not the domineering type!
>>
>>32888489
>>32888445
>>32888437
Guys come on. You just read it has as much chance of alienating people as making them obey, and it the most likely to corrupt us by far.

It's a trap, is what I'm saying
>>
>>32888388
>Revealing Desire
It worked great for Michael originally.
>>
>>32888545
Actually, it's got as much downsides as the others!

...Just look out for the yandere ones who want to be the only ones to take your orders.
>>
For now, I'm off to sleep! If you miss voting, I'll check up on foolz for after records!

Thank you all for playing! And I hope to start up again soon!
>>
>>32888388
>Revealing Desire
Just woke up, thanks for running Fae, I'll vote for this.

Revealing desire takes the lead!

I'll see you all again!
