Welcome to Banished Quest!
You take the role of a young mage labeled a criminal by his people and cast out into the wider world. In the last thread you bought a gun and a little hovering drone, then got accosted by a gang member.

You hear Profectus mumble. “Man, is this guy serious? What is he going to do? There's six of us.” Fulvia nods in agreement. “I concur. He seems arrogant.” Chryssa simply shakes her head. “If he was going to shoot us he would've done it. If he intended to rob us a corpse is easier to fight. He may just be looking for entertainment.” Profectus grins. “Why bother us when there are perfectly good prostitutes right there on the corner?” Skull Kid shrugs. “Less likely to get diseases from us.” Fulvia is the last of the peanut gallery to speak up. “Untrue, actually. Since we are from another dimension diseases which lie dormant in us or otherwise are easily cured may be lethal to you, since you lack built up immunity.”

An idea strikes you. “Wait a second, you've been to the City?” He looks at you confused for a few moments before nodding. “Yeah I go there every so often. Pick up some better hardware, slum around a bit. You know how it is.” You don't really. That's beside the point. “I'd be willing to pay your little toll in exchange for information on how to get into the city.” He scrunches up his face. “Well that's not really a toll then, is it? More like a simple business exchange, information for money.” You sigh. “Look, the alternative is that I paralyze you, rob you, and shove you into an extradimensional space to be eaten alive by a being from the void.”

He holds up a finger. “Now wait just a minute here, fucker! I was going to paralyze you, rob you, and dump you in the sewers too!” Oddly he sounds rather pleased by this development. It's disconcerting. “What a fucking coincidence, eh? Listen, I'd be willing to discuss a business proposal but this is a little public to be discussing business, isn't it? Lets go someplace a little more private, I got just the spot in mind.”

worst case we crap him in an earth cage if he tries to double cross us.
Best being she has more in reserve, or just simply cast a big 'ol metal spell to fix anything metal we have. so find something to do with spare vys

We could loot an advanced rifle (for us) from his body and you want to hire him?

inb4 you justify yourself how we need to get to the city or some other stupid shit. We don't /NEED/ his help, we could easily get access from some other means. We could always hire somebody who isn't a junkie who just tried to rob and kill us if we don't find anything better

“Sure! That sounds great.” The thug, 'Lucky' as he called himself, claps his hands together excitedly before gesturing down the road, back the direction you came. “Right this way then, chaps.” As you set off to follow the strange, mostly mechanical, man you hear Chryssa's voice in the back of your head. {This is almost certainly a trap, why would you agree to follow him?} You cock your head to the side, trying to figure out just why you decided to follow him. The conclusion you come to is less than satisfactory. {Because he might be our ticket into the city, and out of this place. Plus, I figure we can handle anything they throw at us. Just tell everyone to be prepared and have their hands on their weapons.}

She doesn't respond, but you note your party's posture shift. Profectus absentmindedly plays with golden chain dangling off the grip of his falcata. Darzi's armor has sealed itself off, the helmet growing around her head almost like an organic thing. Fulvia seems to be surrounded by a subtle humming noise as the concealed generator on her back gathers energy more rapidly, or tries to at least. The surroundings feel remarkably dead for housing such a high concentration of people.

It isn't a long walk through the streets before Lucky takes a sharp turn down a darkened alley. You've got an overwhelmingly bad feeling about this, but decide to suppress it with a spot of conversation. “So what's so bad about the sewers anyway? I haven't heard anything about them.” Lucky shrugs. “You mean besides being filled with the shit and piss of thousands of people? They're fuckin' sewers mate. Plus I've heard talk of mutants down there, busted in from some breach outside the walls or swam in from wherever the sewage gets dumped. Place is just a death trap.”

You turn a corner in the alley and are greeted by the sight of glowing lights, bright enough to blind you. They light the alley up like sunlight, and seem to stretch on further than they should be able. This alley should intersect with streets you've already passed, but you never noticed it. There are scant people wandering along the metal flooring but you can hear the sounds of voices and people and music from any number of doorways and store fronts.

Lucky throws his arms wide. “Skid Row! No better place to spend your money, at least not in this tower.” He spins around, walking backwards so he can address the party. A wild grin splits his face. “You guys ever tried smack before?” Skull kid interrupts before you can answer. “Yeah, and it's awful. I spent three hours vomiting in a bathtub.” Lucky laughs. “You're just a light weight, faggot. Anyway, listen up. This club we're going to is dealer's paradise so you want anything, you let me know. I get connections, I'll hook you up.”

He spins back around and walks off further into the alleyway, your party trailing along behind. Eventually Lucky stops in front of a door just labeled 'Do Not Enter' and knocks three times. A slide is pulled back and two soulless black eyes, lacking any sort of sclera at all, peer out at you. A surprisingly cutesy, inordinately high-pitched, feminine voice calls out. “Lucky!” Before the slide is slammed shut and the door jerked open.

On the other end is a girl who couldn't be much more than four feet tall, dressed in a white hooded garment large enough on her to be a dress. Her skin is unnaturally pale, to the point that you can see the veins beneath her skin in the harsh, synthetic light of the alley. The pallor is brought into sharp contrast by the black, ritualistic designs painted on her face. She leaps off of the box she's standing on and wraps her arms around your guide's neck, and Lucky in turn swings her around before setting her down next to him. It's an... odd scene. You're not quite sure what to make of it.

“Lucky you've been gone so long! You'd said it'd only be an hour because your connection was supposed to meet you thirty minutes ago but then TWO hours passed and I was getting worried! Did you get the stuff?” The girl, you're assuming this is his daughter though you can't really be certain, speaks in a rapid, excited cadence. Lucky simply waves her off, pushing past her into the club with the girl following along. “Naah, he was a no show. These freaks are interested in doing a little business though.” He jerks his thumb over his shoulder, gesturing towards your party. The girl stops in her tracks, turning around to face you. She stares at you with those black, soulless eyes for a few moments before scrunching up her face. “What's with the clothes? Are you some sort of performers? Do the pointy ears do it for yah? Why does she have horns? Why does her face flicker? Why are you using old weapons?”

Lucky saves you from further questioning when he calls out over his shoulder. “Stop bothering them, Pipsqueak. None of your business what their lifestyle's like!” She whips around and bolts off, screaming something incoherent. You're not sure if this girl is horribly annoying or oddly endearing. You're leaning towards the former.

Lucky pushes open a metal door and you're hit by a wave of noise, you're not sure you can call it music. It's all harsh screeching and high pitched ringing, occasionally broken up by blast of obnoxious, low pitched noise you can't identify the source of. Lucky leads you through the press of people, most of them simply standing around drinking and talking away from what you assume is a dance floor, though it's hard to see in the darkened room. Eventually he slides into a booth and the noise dims dramatically as you follow suit, though you can't divine the reason the music quiets. Once everyone has packed in, your party on one side of a long table while Lucky and Pipsqueak share the other, Lucky speaks up. “You want anything? The drinks are watered down and the food is shit, but that's the story everywhere.”

“For now I'd like to focus on you getting us into the city.” Profectus speaks up before Lucky is able. “I'll take a drink though, I mean. Not all of us need to focus.” Chryss shoots him a glare, but Lucky just grins. He presses a button you hadn't noticed at the center of the table three times. “That's my man! The only thing they serve here is Synth but it'll get you drunk, if you can tolerate the burn at least.” Before he can get out another word a little hovering drone zips up to the table, a tray grasped in its manipulator appendages. You think it might be a version of your own, except your own isn't black and doesn't have a dick drawn on it. The drone sets the tray down and then zips off, Lucky passes drinks to Profectus and Pipsqueak before taking one for himself and downing it in one go.

He slams the glass down and leans forward. “Alright, listen up. You want into the city right? Well I can't just go tellin' every wet behind the ears raider about my route, you know? It's proprietary. I can get you in though! I'd be downright delighted to guide you band of misfits out to the tunnel I use and hell, even into the city proper if you like. My only stipulation is that once we're outta the city you gotta wear a blindfold. Nothing against you personally it's just if everyone starts using my tunnel the feds will seal it up tighter than Stumpy's butthole.”

>>
>>32863056
The only reason we'd be willing to pay him is if he gave us a reliable method to get in and out of the city without hassle. This would just mean we'd have to come to him each time we wanted to get into the city.

Tell him that if he showed us where the tunnel is it would be in our interest to keep it secret, since we'd be just as invested in its continued 'loose butthole'-ness as he is.

“I'm not wearing a blindfold.” Lucky scowls. “Well then I'm not taking you anywhere, mate.” You sigh, leaning forward and resting your elbows on your table. As you open your mouth to speak Profectus is struck by a horribly coughing fit. Glancing in his direction you see him bug eyed and pounding on his chest, wheezing for air. Apparently fighting to keep whatever 'synth' is down. Lucky grins. “I warned you about the burn, mate!” Chryssa has a dagger in her hand before you really realize what's going on. Fulvia puts a hand on her shoulder and jerks her back into her seat before she can go springing across the table, though she still angrily spits out. “What have you done to him?! If he has been poisoned I will disembowel you and leave your entrails to be picked at by the birds!”

Lucky holds up his hands in mock surrender. “Woah, woah, woah lady! I didn't do anything! Synth is just crap liquor is all, like drinking industrial solvent.” Profectus seems to finally get whatever 'synth' is down, and leans back gasping for air. He pats Chrys on the shoulder and in a haggard tone rasps out. “I'm fine, just... caught me by surprise.” Pipsqueak loudly declares. “Pussy!” Before daintily sipping at her own glass of synth joyfully. You're not entirely sure what it means, but you assume it's some manner of insult.

Your friend apparently fine, if in a bit of pain, you turn your attention back to Lucky. “Look, if you show us the way to the tunnel we'd be just as invested in keeping it secret as you are. Besides, we're not coming back once we get into the city.” A look of realization seems to dawn on Lucky's face. “Oooh, you're immigrating! I thought you were going to go raiding!" He waves a hand dismissively. "Well, look. This life isn't for everybody. I get that. Things are a bit different though if you plan on staying for any period of time without getting hassled by the feds. You could just waltz on in if you wanted to work slave labor for the rest of your life, but I know a guy, real clever, who could hook you up with some fake ID chips. Walk right up to the gates and you'll get treated like kings with one of these bad boys shoved in your hand.”

“No, I just want to get into the city. I'm not immigrating. I don't intend on staying there for any extensive period of time. All I want you to do is get me in and then you can fuck off.” Lucky seems confused. “Mate, you're not making any sense. You're not leaving the city once you get in but you're not staying either? The fuck are you, quantum entangled?” You're not sure what that means, but it's not particularly important. “Why I need to get into the city and what I intend to do there isn't important. All you need to know is that I want to get in. Now if you're done wasting my time we can do business, if not I think I'll take my leave.”

Lucky scowls. “No need to be an asshole, mate. I can get you in no problem. Six hundred ay-woo if you're not going to be a hard ass about this.” That's almost half of your remaining funds, in this world at least. You're not going to pay this bastard anything, not ten minutes ago he was trying to rob you and planned on dumping you in the sewers! Still, you don't want to outright attack him, just intimidate him a bit. You use just a touch of fire magic to cause flames to lick up your arms as you slam your hands on the table and push yourself out of the seat. Unfortunately, the little display is enough to make Pipsqueak panic, and she spills her drink all over the table. Before you can cut the flow of magic the alcohol has caught fire and the table is aflame.

You hear a woman shout something from the crowd outside the booth, but it's rendered incomprehensible by whatever mechanism dims the music in this booth. An alarm starts blaring, and you hear a man roar incoherently. The music and the lights cut off, leaving only the sound of panicked screaming to fill the void. You start pushing your companions out of the booth, and they practically stumble over one another to get out of the way. Lucky has already grabbed Pipsqueak and bolted for one of the doors.

Before they get too far you start channeling vys, gathering the flames together and sending them crawling across the floor like a living thing to block their path. They roar high in front of the back exit, blocking Lucky's escape. As an afterthought you extinguish the table and anything else you didn't really want to catch on fire, like the upholstery and the bar. You're sort of surprised how quickly the fire spread, this could have gone very bad very quick.
>Vys Pool: (14/28)

Once you think you've got the situation under control, Lucky and Pipsqueak surrounded by walls of fire and the club more or less emptied after your little light show set off the alarm, you approach your captives with a cocky grin. “Now then, you'll be showing me to the-” You're cut off by the sound of an explosion, at least it sounds like an explosion. Something hits you in the shoulder, hard, and you're nearly jerked off your feat. An overwhelming, burning, pain seems to spread through your back, shoulder, and neck. It's like someone pressing hot coals against your skin. You think your armor absorbed most of the impact, but your arm still feels weak and moving it is excruciating.

Glancing over your shoulder you see the bartender with a shotgun not dissimilar to Skull Kids in his hand. You hear that sound like a branch breaking as he jerks the handle backwards, a red shell flying out of the side of the gun as he does so. S.K raises his own shotgun and levels it at the bartender, but the man ducks beneath the bar as the shot rings out, reducing the various bottles of liquor behind him into broken glass and spilling their contents all over the place. You hear a series of gunshots ring out in rapid succession from the balcony above, the bullets stitching across Darzi's chest and ricocheting off her armor. The source seems to be a man dressed in baggy clothes wearing a strange vest and standing on the balcony above. You also think you might here boots pounding across metal, but can't figure out where they're coming from.

You ignore Pipsqueak and Lucky for a moment in favor of grabbing a near-by table with your good arm and tipping it over so you can duck behind it. It affords you some cover from the gunmen, which you use to dish out commands to your party members and heal the wound on your shoulder. {Darzi, charge the bartender. Prof you and Skull Kid attack the guy on the balcony. Chrys, keep an eye on Lucky and Pipsqueak and make sure they don't bolt. Fulvia, keep an eye out for any more enemies. Seal the doors if you can.}

You hear Darzi pounding across the floor in her heavy armor. There is another blast from a shotgun, but you're not sure who's. Then there is a man screaming and you hear something cracking. There is a second blast from a shotgun followed by the whoosh of flames, and then more screaming from above you. You're not sure if the man is dead or simply wounded, but you're pretty sure either Profectus or Skull Kid hit their target.

A bit of water magic shows that there are two balls of lead stuck in your shoulder and a third further down in your back. One of your ribs and your shoulder blade are fractured as well, but it's all fairly simple to fix. The hardest part is getting the pellets out, which requires just a touch of metal magic in conjunction with water magic. They fall to the floor and roll away while you seal the wounds behind them and mend your fractures. As soon as you've finished healing yourself, you see Lucky come sailing through the air and slam into the wall in front of you, Pipsqueak rushing after him and shouting something incoherent.
(1/2)

>Vys Pool: (13/28)

You peek out from behind your make-shift barricade. The bartender's head has been smashed into the bar with enough force to dent the metal bar top. You think he's dead. You don't see the man with the rifle, but there is a hole rimmed by molten metal in the railing where the thug was standing. You think he's probably dead as well. The exits that you can see have been fused with the metal walls around them, save for the front door you entered through.

“Loot the bodies.” You order your companions while you approach Lucky. He's slumped against the wall, a fist imprint in the metal implants that replaced his cheeks. Chryssa retrieves your dragon egg from where Darzi left it in the booth while Profectus sets off for the stairs, presumably to see if the rifle survived. Darzi picks up the bartender's shotgun and turns it over in her hands, inspecting it.

You crouch down next to Lucky, clapping him on the shoulder. “Come along then, you're coming with us.” Pipsqueak speaks up. “Why? We didn't do anything to you! You just come in here, act all high and mighty, then go burning everything down and scaring everyone and killing a bunch of people! Asshole!” You ignore her in favor of removing Lucky's gun from where it's hanging from his shoulder. You stand up and point the gun at the two of them, motioning for them to get up. “I was giving an order, I don't need to explain myself to a little kid.” She scowls. “I'm twenty god damn four years old you cock gargling sack of garbage!” What? How is it possible for her to be twenty four? She looks like a little kid!

Lucky gestures for Pipsqueak to calm down before pushing himself up. “Fine, we'll come along. Just don't hurt us, yeah?” You're glad he at least seems cowed. You push him along in front of you and Pipsqueak clings to his arm. Profectus returns from the balcony empty handed, shrugging his shoulders. “Gun didn't survive, Mik.” Well damn, at least you got the shotgun and Lucky's rifle.

You make your way towards the front door, herding Lucky and Pipsqueak in front of you. Darzi marches along next to you, shotgun in hand, while Chryssa and Profectus trail a bit behind. Fulvia and Skull Kid bring up the rear.

You pass through the first door and into the long hallway outside. It occurs to you that this would be the perfect place to launch an ambush. Just kick the door in and start firing, it would be impossible to miss with everyone crowded in so tightly. You pause, and listen closely for any hints that there might be people waiting on the other side of that door. Breathing, voices, boots stomping across metal. You even channel a little vys to improve your hearing. You don't pick up anything, but you still can't shake that paranoid feeling. {Darzi, you take the lead. I've got a bad feeling about this.} She looks at you oddly. {What do you mean? What's wrong?} You shake your head before replying. {I've just got a bad feeling is all.}

She does as she was directed, taking your place at the front of the party and pressing the bartender's shotgun into Lucky's back. You pass Lucky's strange rifle to Chryssa, since she'd probably be a better shot than you are anyway. You instead pull your new pistol out of your cloak and load one of the magazines the pawn shop owner gave you into the gun, pulling back the slide as Skull Kid had mentioned to load the first shot.

As Lucky pushes open the front door, the door leading out into the alleyway, he grabs Pipsqueak and dives out of the way. You're about to charge off after him when a hail of gunfire erupts from the other side of the door. Darzi panics and blindly fires a blast from her shotgun, you're not sure if it hits anything. Skull Kid drops to the floor. While Darzi serves her purpose well as a human shield a bullet still catches Chrys in the shoulder, wrenching it back and sending her to the floor. Profectus takes a shot in the abdomen but you think his armor absorbed the worst of it, he still doubles over and has to lean against the wall to keep from keeling over. In all the chaos you don't notice a tiny metal ball roll through the doorway.

Now that we know they are there we can go to war with these fuckers. a flame thrower out of our armor. while darzi goes full rambo should do the trick.

Do shit against magic, speaking of which we should add the vys lines to the guns barrels so that we can shoot fire balls and other elements through them.

Something explodes. On sheer instinct you condense a barrier of ice along your right side, but it shatters as the shockwave hits it. You're slammed against the wall and knocked to the ground. Your ear drums are burst, all you can hear is a sharp, painful ringing. Your legs burn terribly, as if a thousand little knives have stabbed through your armor. Your head feels as though it's been struck with a hammer. You're alive though, and you can walk, and you can fight. That's more than you can say for some of your companions.

Profectus didn't take it well. He's sprawled out on the ground bleeding from a dozen wounds. His armor absorbed a lot of the blow, but not everything. Much of his face has been burnt or punctured by tiny bits of metal. He's alive, but nowhere near conscious. It'll probably be a task to heal him. Chryssa did better because she was on the ground, but she's still not doing well. Her legs are torn to hell, there's no way she'd be able to walk. Darzi is absolutely fine, in fact she's standing in the doorway blasting away at the shooters, but you're not sure she has much left in the way of ammunition. Skull Kid and Fulvia seem largely okay, Skull Kid took some minor wounds but more of his body is metal than you'd initially thought, he's also rapidly healing. Fulvia is fine, a few holes in her chassis but nothing important damaged.

You send a message through the brooches to Fulvia and Darzi, your only functioning companions with brooches. {Fulvia, raise a barricade between us and the door. Fit it with holes so we can fire through it. Darzi, fall back. Once Fulvia erects the barricade you and Skull Kid will be responsible for holding them off. I'll heal Chryssa and Profectus.}They don't respond, but judging by the way energy arcs across Fulvia's arms she got the message. Darzi fires one more blast from her shotgun, but after pumping the strange foregrip to eject the spent round she pulls the trigger only to hear a quiet click. Seems she's out of ammo. She quickly ducks out of the doorway and retreats to stand just slightly in front of you. Fulvia takes it as her cue to erect the barrier.

The metal that makes up the walls, floor, and ceiling of this hallway is reduced to molten slag, which slowly flows together to form a solid wall between you and the door, several inches thick. Four small vertical slits form in the metal wall, allowing gunmen to shove their weapons through and fire on anything coming down the hallway. Darzi grabs Skull Kid and pushes him into the metal wall next to her, and he in turns hands her a collection of red shells. She starts shoving these into a gap on the side of the gun.

This is more plausible now since we know 4 elements and have a staff to help us get the fifth, while also know enchantment(could be used to get around the High DC.)
>>
You leave them to defend the barricade while you focus on healing your companions. You start with Profectus, since he's in worse shape than Chrys. You start with a bit of metal magic to extract the numerous metal shards that pierced through his armor. You pluck them all out at once, moving them off to the side. Some of them were buried too deep for you to easily reach but you ought to be able to heal him in such a way that they don't affect anything important. Then you begin sealing his wounds, a fairly simple task at your level of expertise. The hard part comes with fixing the burns on his face and the internal damage. That bullet that struck him in the gut tore open his stomach. You end up needing to channel quite a bit of magic once its all said and done, and his face is rather badly scarred if not to the point of disfigurement. He'll live, at least.
>Vys Pool: (6/28)

Next you move on to Chryssa. She's in better shape, though her legs are absolutely torn to shreds. Some chunks are missing entirely, and one of her feet is just barely still attached. To your surprise she's still awake, fingers digging into the metal as she violently seethes. It seems to be taking all of her willpower not to cry out. Then again, with you deafened by the blast you wouldn't be able to hear her even if she did. You start with simply piecing her legs back together, what's there at least. Then you regenerate anything that was missing. This in and of itself is a task difficult enough to nearly drain you entirely, but there is yet still more to do. Once her legs are serviceable you move on to her shoulder. You use a touch of metal magic to extract the bullet and then heal the wound itself before essentially remaking her shattered shoulder blade.
>Vys Pool: (3/28)
(2/3)
>>
Finally, you heal your eardrums and pluck out the various bits of metal stabbed into your legs. You're probably the best off out of anyone, but still it takes a touch more magic than you'd like to mend everything. Once your hearing has returned you're immediately bombarded by the sound of gunfire pinging against the barricade, and the roars of Darzi and Skull Kid's shotguns. It almost seems like you've stumbled into a war zone.

>Enemies Remaining: 4x Thugs (2x Wounded)
>Enemy Turn

Another explosion goes off, this one muffled by the barricade Fulvia erected. You don't see any injuries, but there are a few dents in the wall. The gunfire quiets for a moment and you hear a voice shout out over the din. “Haul ass, boys!” This is followed by a strangely mechanical roar, and then a second and a third. You hear Lucky's voice calling out. “Hey, what the fuck are you doing?! Wait for us!” Though his voice is getting quieter. He must be running away.

“I need this barricade down now! They're going to get away!” Darzi responds irritably. “So what?! Let them get away! Why do you even care? What did they do to you?” You scowl. “They disrespected me, they tried to rob all of us, and then they ambushed us!” Darzi tosses her shotgun to the ground, it's likely out of ammunition anyway. “Do you even hear yourself? You got us into this! If you hadn't attacked them none of this would've happened!”

Before the argument can escalate any further the barricade behind her melts away. You shoot Darzi a glare before slipping past her and bursting out of the door. You see two floating devices speeding rapidly down the now empty alleyway. Another similar device sits near-by, but it doesn't float like the others. Rather is has been filled so full of holes you doubt it will ever function again, and its presumed rider is laying dead behind it. His head is decorating the walls behind him. The two you're interested in though are Lucky and Pip. Lucky is running at a full sprint after the three bikes, Pipsqueak getting dragged along behind him.

You set off after them, channeling vys into your legs to better your chances of catching up with them. You gain ground quickly, though unfortunately your companions are left far behind. Darzi is the only one close to keeping up. You grab hold of Pipsqueak once you've caught up and jerk her out of Lucky's grasp. She cries out. In surprise you think, though you may have dislocated her shoulder. Lucky whips around with a savage look on his face as you put the barrel of your pistol to her head. “Let her fucking go, mate! We didn't do a thing to you!” You put your finger on the trigger pointedly. “You're coming with me, that's the beginning and end of it. I need a place to hide out and a path into the city.”

We can meditate on prof's face and chys's legs and shoulder.
getting any metal we didn't have time to worry about. or simply have Fulvia rip it out and we heal it after that.
But none the less, we can focus on healing all of that along with our body. During our meditation even if we can heal the scaring we should be able to get our bodies back to 100% with some of it just looking "ugly"/scared w.e then meditate on scaring.
Or cut off the parts all together and regrow them. But blood loss might be a mit to dificult for us for whole limbs.

2
To try and catch the blade in your cloak, so Ricky can disarm her.

The girl didn't do anything wrong except get scared when we used fire magic.

From her perspective, we were just a bunch of weirdos who tried to get out of paying for her services by setting the bar on fire, murdering the barkeep, and holding them hostage while stealing their gun.

She tries to run away, but we dislocate her shoulder, hold a gun to her head, and then de-hands her when she tries to defend herself.

You side step while keeping your grip on her other wrist strong, then grab hold of the edge of your cloak and swing it forward, wrapping it around her forearm as the knife swings towards you. Her hand slips beyond the event horizon of your cloak. Not a moment later she lets out an ear splitting shriek and her arm twist oddly. You hear something pop. In a panic you jerk your cloak away and her hand slides out, thankfully still attached. Of course, it's a mangled mess. Bones jut out from beneath the skin and her fingers are all bent backwards. She doesn't have the knife anymore, at least. That went according to plan.

She's sobbing, you can't help but feel a stirring a guilt. You could've easily just stepped backwards or let her go. Still, this is hardly the time for introspection. Plus, she tried to stab you. She got what she deserved, right? You double down, pushing the barrel of your gun into the back of her head. Pip holds the shattered remnants of her hand to her chest. Before you even have a chance to say anything Lucky surrenders, falling to his knees with a panicked look on his face. “Okay, okay! I'll come with you! Just, please, don't hurt her anymore! You want a hide out? I've got the perfect place in mind, swear mate! You'll never be found.”

>Good, wait for your companions to catch up then tell him to take you there.

Obviously, this isn't a modern court of law. But Mik and Co. would be culpable and liable for damages since someone panicking and spilling alcohol was both a cause-in-fact and a proximate cause to you setting your arms on fire in the middle of a crowded bar.

Think bathtub gin. God knows what is in it other than just the ethanol.

I am just happy we didn't cause a fuel air explosion from all the synth fumes.
>>
Other than getting hurt a bit, looks like things didn't go too bad.

“Good, now get up. You can lead me there once my companions catch up. If this place turns out to be genuine, I'll fix her hand good as new. If not, she's dead.” Gods, you feel like a scumbag. Taking women hostage? Your mother would beat you senseless if she found out about this. You keep reminding yourself that you'll never see these people again once you're out of here. There won't be any real consequences, right?

Darzi is the first to catch up. She glances from the gun to the back of Pip's head to you, before you hear her voice echo through the back of your head. {We're going to have a long talk about this once we're out of danger.} You glare at her. {Fine, so long as it waits until we're out of danger.} Skull Kid shows up next, slowing to a jog before stopping next to Darzi. “God damn, this has just gone to shit hasn't it?” You shake your head. “Save it, Lucky here is going to take us to a hide out and then we can discuss our next course of action.” He waves you off. “Man, I'm not criticizing. It's not the first hostage situation I've been in. A little amateur, I've got to admit.”

That sounds like a story, but it can wait for later. Fulvia, Chrys, and Profectus all arrive at the same time. Fulvia and Chrys are dragging Profectus between them. Chrys is hobbling, and Profectus is unconscious, but they seem more or less alright. Neither Fulvia or Chryss offer any sort of comment. With the party gathered, you motion with the gun for Lucky to lead the way. The irony of his name has never been clearer.

Your strange party makes its way out of the alleyway the same way you came in. The streets are abandoned, the only sound the distant barking of a dog. Even the prostitutes have fled the streets. Apparently people clear out once they hear gunshots. You seem to wander at random in a generally westerly direction, at least you think it's west. To be honest you're a bit disoriented after the events of the day and the adrenaline rush is starting to fade. You feel dead on your feet after expending so much vys.

Eventually you come to a tall, crumbling building. A glowing sign out front proclaims 'Rooms for Rent', though half the letters seem to lack power. Lucky reaches into a pocket on his armored vest, shakily withdrawing a set of keys. He struggles to fit them into a lock on the door but manages it eventually and steps inside. You follow, hesitantly, but no thugs are waiting for you in ambush. He leads you up several flights of stairs to a door lacking numbers and once more shoves a key into the lock, twisting the handle open and revealing the shoddy lodgings within. The only light is provided by dim bulbs hanging from the low ceiling like bats. Boxes, crates, and bags seem to lay scattered everywhere, two thick clumps of cable run along the floor towards a device you can't identify. Curtains hanging from the ceiling separate this room from what looks like a bathroom, and a bunk bed is pressed flush against the wall.

“Here we are... home sweet home.” Lucky proclaims nervously. “You'll heal her now, yeah?”

>Heal Pip's hand, you said you would.
>You need to regain your vys first, she'll live for a while longer.
>No, you never planned on actually healing her.
>You'll heal her once he shows you to the tunnel into the city.

Hold both of them under armed guard until it's time to leave the city. We can't risk them calling their gang down upon us.

Tell her to be more careful when holding flammable fucking liquids

I'm down with these side comments, while healing her.
>>
Pour 1 vys into the sword, and sleep I guess.
Isn't meditating harder her because of the lack of vys?
>>
>>32871485
And maybe a "Sorry"?

Yes, definitely a sorry

In this case I'd be against it.

Are you people serious? We are the last person who should be lecturing her on common sense.
>>
>>32871539
Speaking of the god Damm sword it's like a nuke and a battery we could've leech some Vys out of it earlier
I keep forgetting this
>>

Why? Apologizing isn't going to do anything.
