Marianne looks at the huge cinnamon bun on her plate and then glances around... I guess she's looking for a knife to cut it up with first? But there aren't any, and it's all I can do to keep from laughing as i watch her start blushing really hard while chomping into it.

Thierri's mother was pretty sickly, she died when he was around twelve years old.
His father died of a plague that was making the rounds shortly after he and Raoul returned from their second adventuring outing, which signaled an end to his happy times roaming the countryside with his bro.

Gregory's father was an example of the worse side of arranged marriages, a right asshole who treated his wife poorly (but not openly enough for the rest of the family to intervene). Gregory HATED him and pretty much latched onto Arnaud as his rolemodel of what a real man should be.
His mother died of the same illness that tool the previous King, though she did live just long enough to see both of her children get married.
