Stage Six: Ominous Anonimous, Darker than White, Blacker than Dark.

While you are not completely healed after being run through with Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, the wound is no longer a through-and-through, the major arteries are whole, and none of your organs are bisected. You're still injured, and the wound isn't healing as quickly as it should, but you're not bed ridden either. The power which grants you control over the oceans works on your own blood as well, and you can maintain your body's integrity better now. It's no where near as helpful as the regenerative properties of a Wood dragonette, but it helps speed the healing process even when the injuries are inflicted by the dragon-slaying sword used by the daughter of Susano-oh, Kushinada.

You suspect that your proximity to Kiki has a lot to do with that rapid healing, though you're not sure if you should tell either Jinyuu-onee-sama, who apparently foretold a major disaster when you come into your full power (which is a little worrisome, since you apparently haven't come into your full power, only part of it). Or Miko-Kiku either, the older sister of the young woman you are protecting until her wedding (or until you get her pregnant with magical dragon-girl babies). Miko-Kiku seems to nearly worship the Dragon-God of Destruction that you are supposedly a reincarnation of, which makes sense given she is both a Shinto priestess and a Fire dragonette.
>>
>>32839377

Even touching oujo-sama puts both of you into a near drugged trance of sorts, and it wouldn't take much at all for either of you to be found in a seriously compromising situation. Though the injury may have something to do with that too. Still, knowing you aren't actually a dragonette but a demigod – one on a par with the daughter of Susano-oh in theory – has changed your perspective slightly. It explains your ability to enhance or impregnate other dragonettes, and it explains your affinity to the oceans, rather than rivers like most dragons.

So it is that Yui, an oni-born tomboy who seems to have had some medical training as well as the power of the Void and therefore magic, is the one binding your abdomen carefully. The second of your two subordinates – the other being her girlfriend and your best friend Akari, a Stone dragonette – clips the bandages together. “You won't be able to use your true magic without hurting yourself more, aniki,” Yui points out. “You can probably do your normal fighting techniques just fine though.”

You touch the silken cap now in place over the stump of your left arm, tied just past the silver bracelets you used to make a tourniquet with. Anyone else would consider it a handicap. For you it's barely an inconvenience, except where dressing is concerned, and even then you're fast enough that the right clothing can be used. The edges of the wound were cauterized in a way: not by the sword, but by whatever twisted magic you used to conserve your power. It wasn't elemental magic; it was magic like no one you know has ever seen.

[] You use magic, Yui-niji; what do you think I did to my arm?
[] Who taught you magic, Yui-chan, and do you think I might be able to talk to them?
[] That's fine Yui-cutie. Go and tell my other niji-chan to get in here. Planning time.
[] Time to go find Kiki-oujo-sama and get her to help me dress – I'm half naked.
[] ….holy crap, I haven't eaten in two days.

These three. Finding something to eat we can do on our own. Getting dolled up by Kiki we'll do in private.

Finally it's time!
>[x] You use magic, Yui-niji; what do you think I did to my arm?

still confused as to how losing an arm is 'barely an inconvenience' since it, among other things, fucks with your balance and movement patterns

Yep. I think we told Yui that we don't mind sharing because they're both special to us

“Yui-niji-chan....what does your magic say about what I did to my arm?” Magic is a strange thing – even for Void dragonettes, it's less learned than it is instinctive. Oni are slightly different. They can learn more than they can simply develop, but they use it instinctively once they have learned it. But Void is not like the other elemental forces either.

Yui glances up as she finishes making sure the wrappings won't be dislodged by causal movement or contortions. “What I can see of the magic you did....it is a very vicious, poisonous magic. It is more like....like looking at something that was done with Yin, not an elemental power.” She studies the stump of your arm for a moment, and then looks down. “I didn't even know that such a thing could be done.” She and Akari were not present when your true nature was revealed to you, so she remains ignorant of your divinity.

“I know my sister and oujo-sama's sisters don't understand it....do you know of someone who might? Not Hinata-hakase though. I think Kiki-sama might kick my ass if I went to her.”

Shaking her head – and unable to contain a smile – she replies, “I had to sneak into where my uncles and aunts were getting drunk and learn how to use my magic in secret. I never had a real teacher.”

It might be worthwhile to change that, when you have the opportunity. “That's all right, Yui-niji-chan. Go and get Akari-sweetie, and we'll make a plan. We have to switch to a safer location soon.”

“Hhh....hai, aniki!” the blushing tomboy stands and runs off as you stretch, testing the limits of your mobility.

They're back in a moment, the stoic Akari tying her jade mask on over one horn and out of her way, while her tail lazily rubs up against Yui's back. Yui jumps a little but doesn't say anything, only blushes, as the two kneel. Miko-Kiku and Jinyuu-onee-sama aren't actually involved in this job, to be honest, and given their odd view on you, it might not be best to include them immediately. The main issue is to get Kiki to the actual safehouse – warded against scrying magic, screened for electronics, and nearly impregnable.

[] Yui, you'll take Kiki by cloud to the actual safehouse, and Akari will guard, I'll distract.
[] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
[] I don't typically involve outsiders, but Yui and Akari will take Kiki to the safehouse, and the little loli and I will make a big distraction.
[] We'll take them all out together, and let Jinyuu and Kiku protect Kiki-oujo-sama. I doubt they'll be trouble.
[] What do you two think is the best plan?
>>
>>32839799
>Not Hinata-hakase though
>she can fix our arm
>but of course we can't see her or do anything to get it fixed

why is this the case again?
>>
>>32839836
[] We'll take them all out together, and let Jinyuu and Kiku protect Kiki-oujo-sama. I doubt they'll be trouble.

I'm all for creating a distraction ourselves and not putting anyone in danger, but we're wounded, so right now, this is the better idea.
>>
>>32839723
Water doesn't really care how you separate it, it fills the container equally well.

If we'd been another elemental type it would be worse I suspect.
>>
>>32839845

You missed the part where she stole/demanded/'acquired' dragon pearls?

Ever heard of too steep a price to pay?
>>
>>32839845
The cost is higher than anyone wants to pay at this point - it involves essentially removing the soul one of the dragonettes (their Pearl).
>>
>>32839845
No where did it say that Hinata could fix our arm, just the holes in our gut. Even that would come at a price.
>>
>>32839874
>>32839885
>>32839889
then why the fuck mention it?

seems like we're stuck with an unfixable arm for no fucking reason
>>
>>32839836
>[x] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
Feels like the best distribution, I don't think we should do anything on our own just yet.
>>
>>32839836
>[X] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
>>
>>32839899
The reason is there is no one to fix it.
We already had established Hinata as a unpleasant character from the start.
>>
>>32839836
>[x] I don't typically involve outsiders, but Yui and Akari will take Kiki to the safehouse, and the little loli and I will make a big distraction.
Sounds fine to me!

>>32839899
We COULD still do it, as long as people are fine with the (known and unknown) consequences. And there could be other solutions as well.
>>
>>32839885
So much for letting us work towards getting our arm fixed, you said there would be possibilities and ways to work towards that, and so far all you've thrown at us is more bullshit about why exactly we can't.
>>
>>32839899
Pretty much. XS doesn't want our arm healed yet, so we aren't getting it healed.
>>
>>32839836
>[x] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
>>
>>32839921
>The reason is there is no one to fix it.
And the reason there is no one to fix it is that OP doesn't want it fixed.
>>
>>32839836
>[x] I don't typically involve outsiders, but Yui and Akari will take Kiki to the safehouse, and the little loli and I will make a big distraction.
>>
>>32839935
I wish she would just outright say that she's fiat'ing away any attempt to fix it instead of stringing us along.

...
>>
>>32839845
Kiki is also terrified of Hinata. Rather not piss off the bride.
>>
>>32839836
>[x] What do you two think is the best plan?
Let's hear what they have to say first, can't hurt right?
>>
>>32839930
>>32839962
Guys, we're wounded, remember? This might really not be the brightest idea right now.
>>
>>32839836
[x] Yui, you'll take Kiki by cloud to the actual safehouse, and Akari will guard, I'll distract.
>>
>>32839935
>>32839960
The fuck why?
>>
>>32839960
Its not like we had spend time to seek someone out who could, we literally just got up from having to manually keep our guts in.
>>32839967
Except she isn't we have spend zero time by now to look for a way to fix our arm, because understandebly Ryukusa needed some ime to get up again.
>>
>>32839986
Because one armed swordsman are a Japanese trope or something.
>>
>>32839836
>[x] What do you two think is the best plan?
Tentatively:
>[x] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
>>
>>32839836
>[X] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
Akari can do distractions on her own, and we have to watch out for Kiki personally.
>>
>>32839967
The problem is, she's not saying we can't fix it, just that'll be ages till we do.

Don't know how many of us will still be here by that point, but what can we do?
>>
>>32839866
if we're moving our blood so that it compensates for a missing arm, we're going to have a fucking stroke and die
>>
>>32840020
>Don't know how many of us will still be here by that point.
Given the arm didn't even come up as a discussion-topic last thread, which was busy as fuck, probably just about everyone. I will at least.
>>
>>32839999
>Its not like we had spend time to seek someone out who could, we literally just got up from having to manually keep our guts in.
To be fair, OP did shoot down 2-3 plans for getting the arm fixed immediately by revealing previously unknown setting mechanics that seem specifically designed to make the proposed action unacceptably difficult/impossible
>>
>>32839986
Honestly, I think at this point, XS sees restoring the arm too soon as retconning losing the arm. Now, I don't have a problem with that, since I'd have liked to retcon the arm since it happened, but there's a stigma there for whatever reason.
>>
>>32839999
in the Q&A right after it happened, OP flat-out vetoed literally every suggestion people had for fixing it, including cybernetics (immediately after saying that the Celts made cybernetic limbs)
>>
>>32839836
I'm kinda surprised we've spent so much time before trying to get her to the safe-house really, even with the injury. Hopefully we won't get into TOO much trouble transferring her there.
>>
>>32840063
I have no problem with restoring the arm being a lengthy undertaking, but everything we've (>>32840060 & >>32840083) seems like she just wants to railroad us into never getting it fixed for no fucking reason.

And thats fucking piss poor QM'ing
>>
>>32839836
>[] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
kiss them both for good luck
>>
>>32839836
>[] What do you two think is the best plan?
But if they have no ideas,
>[] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
>>
>>32840058
I second that.
>>
>>32840060
>>32840060

XS basically said that we need the power of a full-blooded Oni/DRagon/whatever versed in the healing arts to have a chance at restoring our arm. So far, the only one we know about will (at best) ask for the soul of one of our gang, so thanks but no thanks.

Now shut up abouyt the arm already and follow the quest, we'll see soon enough whether we get other options.
>>
>>32840083
>>32840060
No he didn't. He even said we could find magic help to do it, its just hard to do.
The only thing he vted out was surgery, and he didn't just then reveal we are a half-spirit being, we already knew that.
And the Celtic maic arm thing wasn't vetoed, it was pointed out that we have no way to get one currently, because we would have to go there, which we can't while on the job.

We have literally only contemplated those two things. We haven't spent any time in-character towards a solution yet.
>>
>>32840060
Plus, the crytalized arm thing wasn't mentioned at the time, which leads me to believe it was thought up between threads a as better reason for why the surgery thing wouldn't work. Sadly, a more thought out cop-out is still a cop-out.
>>
>>32840105
The ONLY method we've barely broached in-quest is Hinata. We also just discussed getting Yui a magic tutor so that she might be able to learn more about our arm. Quit freaking out over nothing.
>>
>>32840058
It came up plenty, but XS just steamrolled straight through or flat out said no and shut down any notion of even thinking about fixing it.

The bitch does not want us to have the arm back, ever, so we're stuck like this.
>>
>>32840143
Why would he do that ? He could have just said the arm was smashed in the car, which was extremely likely to happen.
>>
>>32840143
Well yes, that was obviously an after the fact justification. Which is ironic, considering that she claims to want write ins.
>>
>>32840140
we haven't spend in-character time towards a solution because OP's responses to ideas were either, no, you can't do this because of your job (so no, since our job is the premise of the Quest), or "you need one of the most powerful beings in my setting to give you a favor" (strangely enough, that also sounds like no to me)
>>
>>32840137
Once we get more story posts we will. Most of us already voted, and this is a discussion we feel like having while we wait.
>>
Personally I loved the never melting always warm ice arm replacement someone talked about last thread, we need to look into that as a replacement until we can get it fixed though XS ain't ever going to let us to even attempt to get it fixed
>>
>>32840154
People talked about how cool a crystal talon was, no-one bitched about it or anything. I don't want the fucking arm back either, stop pretending the quest somehow hinges on the shitty thing or that you're somehow an arbiter of what should happen in the quest.
>>
>>32840192
I like it too, but XS kind of ignored the suggestion every time it was brought up, which leads me to think it's either "outside of our current abilities" or "would interrupt our Chi flow" or some other bullshit
>>
>>32840203
This. One armed swordsman is fun.

Besides, if you got the arm back in the next few threads you KNOW fuckers like you would start bitching about how it was too easy and that drama was for nothing and how the QM is a shitfuck who gives us everything on a silver platter like you did over Kiki
>>
>>32840219
essentially more QM fiat bullshit like every single word she's uttered since her fuckup

Is it really that bad for us to lose an arm?
>>
Jesus fuck, you guys are going to be hung up about the arm untill the end of the quest, aren't you.
>>
>>32840203
I personally didn't bitch because I didn't want to start things. Since you guys have started shit, I suppose I should say that this is one of the more poorly handled issues I've seen in quests. This is also the sort of issue that festersrs
>>
>>32840219
So XS should read through every non-vote post and reply to every idea while running a thread? Come on now. It's not like people were insistently asking for a clarification on it, or even mentioned it more than once or twice.
>>
>>32840219
He can not remember a single attempted write-in ast thread to any such an effect. Not even one case of "try to put the crystal talon back on". So no, after Quest speculation didn't pan out XS hasn't shot down any in-story attempt to get it fixed ecause despite the whining none were made.
>>
>>32840203
The thing is, I'd bet a lot of the anons who cared about the arm either quit before that or decided to view that thread after the fact so they wouldn't rage at XS. I know I missed most of the quest, and got distracted by the fact that our godly power was manifesting.
>>
>>32840245
Once assholes find a topic that causes endless shitflinging, they bring it up whenever possible.
>>
>>32840238
>Besides, if you got the arm back in the next few threads you KNOW fuckers like you would start bitching about how it was too easy and that drama was for nothing and how the QM is a shitfuck who gives us everything on a silver platter like you did over Kiki
No, you'll probably complain about it though.
>>32840245
Poorly handled character defining moment, rigidly enforced through Fiat? Yup, sounds like something that will last for a long time.
>>
>>32840261
So the guys that whined about having had their character face a loss in a Quest left ? Awesome. I hope the other ones that whine about not getting to instantly remove a accrued flaw follow them soon, because their getting annoying.
>>
>>32840035
Magic, anon.
>>
>>32840219
We're in a setting where Chi flows and Feng Shui have real and tangible effects, and you're saying a major alteration to the proper flow of Chi having lots of negative consequences or just plain being not possible is bullshit?
Your arguments are the bullshit here.
>>
>>32840261
Well if they quit, what's the problem? Yeah it's a pity that they didn't end up liking how things went, but there's no point dwelling on that if they left, when there's still plenty of readers around to keep things going that are happy with things. And no, I'm not claiming 'everyone' reading is happy, I'm saying plenty of people don't mind much or are more than willing to wait and see what happens long-term rather than immediately needing a solution conveniently popping up.
>>
>>32840278
>you'll probably complain about it though.
Nah, I like cyborg/magic prosthetic limbs as much as the old one-arm cliche, so I'm content either way. I just want the bitching to stop.
>>
>>32840238
My problem with the arm isn't fighting related. A one-armed swordsman is an interesting, if not that great to me, trope. My problem is with our day-to-day lives and cuddling our girls.
>>
>>32840203
Why don't you want' the arm back, and please give some reason other than "a one armed swordsman is cool." a one-armed swordsman is less versatile and weaker (don't give me shit about "but we're right handed it won't do anything." we can't use both hands, so we'll lose in any grapple or brute force scenario, and we can't handle multiple opponents nearly as well)

more importantly, why wouldn't Ryukuza not want to get her arm fixed? Even if her only motivations are the job and a harem, having both arms would be pretty useful for those things
>>
>>32840253
>So no, after Quest speculation didn't pan out XS hasn't shot down any in-story attempt to get it fixed ecause despite the whining none were made.
Mostly because he preemptively shot down all the previous ideas. Especially since there was a majority for asking the evil bitch to fix us anyway.
>>
>>32840305

Bah. One hand is enough to hug, and for fine manipulation/titillation whe still have a tail. Sure two hands is better, but it's not like it's a complete FUBAR.
>>
>>32840310
Because I like disabled characters? They offer different kinds of challenges, character-interactions and perspectives from fully abled ones, which I enjoy reading. I've been wanting one for a while actually, but other than trying to read that shitty KlK quest (ugh) I can't think of too many around really.
>>
>>32840305
>My problem is with our day-to-day lives and cuddling our girls.
And I'm looking forward to that too. Kiki helping us dress, awkward fumbling with pickle jars, one of our girls gently rubbing our nub. Its gonna be fun and cute
>>
>>32840300
no, I'm saying that anything we try to do to fix the arm will have XS saying it'll fuck with our Chi flow. It's an interesting thing, but so far all its been used for is to say our arm can't be reattatched. At least before XS thought up "frozen crystal arm" (which i think we should try and stick on anyway)
>>
I wonder why no one was bringing up the arm thing last thread.

Guys, how about we focus on what is important, and then we'll worry about a fancy new arm, ok?
>>
>>32840243
>Is it really that bad for us to lose an arm?
A very good friend of mine lost his dominant arm in Iraq, yes it really is bad for us, it utterly ruined his life.
>>
>>32840302
>I'm saying plenty of people don't mind much or are more than willing to wait and see what happens long-term rather than immediately needing a solution conveniently popping up.
We don't need a convenient solution to pop up, but if the players come up with one don't change the setting to make it impossible
>>
>>32840333
I agree. I don't mind getting a replacement/fix/whatever EVENTUALLY, but I sure want to milk all possibly cuteness from being down an arm first
>>
[XX] Akari, distract, I'll guard Yui, and we'll go by cloud to the actual safehouse.
[X] What do you two think is the best plan?

Sitting cross-legged on the futon, with your subordinates kneeling before you, you feel strangely at ease, despite the situation. As though you've done this before. You haven't, really, only practice games and tests, but it still feels very familiar. “Akari, you're going to be the distraction. Yui will carry oujo-sama by cloud and I'll run interference and protect them. If Yui-niji can handle it, oujo-sama and I will both ride, if not, I'll do the stupid running thing.” You just can't bring yourself to call it a ninja-hop, even if that's what it is given you're a shinobi bodyguard. “What do you two think?”

Yui shakes her head. “I can only carry one person at a time, aniki. Otherwise, it makes sense to me. I'm not really very familiar with this sort of thing. I'll need guidance to get there.” You nod, but it's really Akari's opinion that truly matters here. She's had the same training you have had.

“If they're humans it won't be an issue, aniki, but I'm not going to be very good at distracting them if they're oni-born or dragonettes unless I throw sections of the building at them. I can take youkai-born without a problem.” She doesn't mention demigods because they're too rare, and if Susano-oh's daughter turns up things can't really be planned for. Akari takes a small object out of her pocket. “Yui and I made this for you, aniki.”

>[] Yui, you'll take Kiki by cloud to the actual safehouse, and Akari will guard, I'll distract.

could we feed some false information saying that we will be moving Kiki by car, then later feed a main road which would be used...

We can then take someone else with us... Ideally someone combat capable, just encase Kushinada turns up again...
Also, this whole 'lost hand' thing reminds me of an identical incident in Shadow Quest....

Yui is looking abashed and Akari is looking up at you placidly as you look at the interesting glove. It's very similar to a shot-or-powder filled glove, except instead of lead or ball bearings, it has a small pouch of light beads inside. Akari helps you put it on – you could do it without help, but it their gift, and the points out the flap you can manipulate with your fingers to slip what is in the pouch into your hand. Not beads – dry white beans. Anti-oni ammunition.

You hug each of them one armed, and kiss their foreheads – that DOES make Akari blush – and you settle back down.

[] Modify the plan – if it's dragonborn or oni, you distract, if it's the others, Akari distracts.
[] Use a different plan.
[] Try and use your nascent psychic abilities to get an edge on the planning.
[] Go with the plan as is – if things change, you'll change with them.
[] Bring the fire-loli into the planning session. Setting people on fire is a good distraction no matter what they are.

Alright, guys, we need to use our brains.

I propose we call several cars to pick us, take none of them but send them to different places, while we discretely flee where we are by the sewers. Yui will create a distraction by flying on her cloud.

What do you think?

Also, don't forget that sewers have plenty of water and are made of concrete, mostly. Water and Stone dragons would have the advantage here.

You close your eyes, as your sister does before each divination session she performs. You're not really sure what she does, since usually she tosses coins, or separates yarrow stalks into bundles. But your powers tend to be innate and instinctive.

Opening your Water Eyes with your eyes closed is very....weird. You can see yourself, sitting with your niji-chans, you can see your oujo-sama sleeping in the other room, cuddling the one stuffed toy (a dragon, of course) under her futon. Your sister is praying in the room she is sharing with Miko-Kiku, who is also asleep. Taking a deep breath you lift your head, looking for the danger ahead, the deep water that can cause you trouble.

The world seems to rush around you like water, your 'vision' blurring and shifting until you see everyone at the table, in the evening. A very dim figure moves, speaks, something, and you realize it must be Akari. Interesting that even your psychic abilities won't work on Stone. But there is movement all around the house, flicking auras of Fire, steady Wood auras, and one figure brighter than the others, Void-touched. You can't determine how many there are – there are shadowy ones that may be humans or may be Stone. But the three bright auras are hanging back as the others approach.

The vibrant white aura flashes and you open your eyes – your real eyes. Apparently you got caught out. But it didn't feel like an immediate thing – it's only the morning time, and that was definitely evening.

Getting gutted like a fish was part of the attack, it was a sacrifice. It was working, too.

Yeah, but the opponent doesn't have to fight the same way, do they? She just chose a different fighting-style. And we might have been able to defend ourselves except A: Kinda weak as shit at the time, and B: People voted to 'take the blows' or whatever which, you know, kinda implies just that.

You look up and your subordinates are patiently waiting for you....well, Akari is, Yui seems to have dozed off. Without moving any other muscle or batting an eye, Akari swats Yui's derrière hard with her tail, and the oni yelps and sits up straight.

“How long was I gone?”

“About five minutes, aniki,” Akari replies.

“....have you been wearing out poor Yui, Akari-chan?”

“Yes, aniki.”

Yui stutters and holds up her hands and you reassure her by stroking her hair. “Change of plans. If it's oni or dragonettes, then I'll distract. If it's youkai-born or humans, it's all on Akari. But we can't have anything set in stone – well, maybe Yui, but that'sd not important right now! There was that visit from Susano-oh's daughter, Kushinada, and I doubt that was accidental. So, we'll change the plan more if it needs it. Yui, can you make your cloud move through the sewers or subways?”

She shakes her head, still blushing. “No, because there isn't enough wind there.”

“Too bad. Well, we might use those if we really need to lay low before getting to the safehouse. Make sure Yui knows the maps as well as we do.” At this point, your very empty stomach decides breakfast is totally the next plan. “Let me know if either of you think of anything.” Their dual chorus of “hai aniki” is both endearing, and reassuring, emphasizing how familiar it feels.

[X] Right, well, we''ll get to most of it quickly.

As Akari and Yui go to the living room to use the laptop there to examine some very private and probably illegally obtained maps of the city to plot routes of escape and safety, you walk over to their room, and look in at the shrine you ignore the previous night. Now that you're more healthy and you're not using nearly as much power, you don't think there will be any surge of power or repercussions for being too close to a shrine made to you.

It's not really all that spectacular. A small wooden stand, draped in cloth – and you can see the leather wrapped lump on the carpet underneath the cloth, undoubtedly the remains of your arm – with a small bowl of liquor on one side, incense on the other, and a beautiful calligraphic representation of the word Shui Long written upon it with an tiny rendition of your name in the middle, like a Dragon Pearl. The calligraphy is done on silk, by an expert hand, and it is framed in simply heavy paper. Not the most amazing of shrines, but a shrine nonetheless.

Though you're tempted to take the alcohol, you leave it and walk to Jinyuu-onee-sama's door. Naturally before you knock, she opens it, revealing herself, dressed and ready for the day, as Miko-Kiku yawns and stretches cutely and blinks her huge golden eyes. They have separate beds, which makes you wonder further why she didn't return home or to her own temple.

“I'm going to start breakfast, onee-sama. Anything special you would like?” Jinyuu-onee-sama gives you that coy, half-hidden smile of hers and shakes her head. “I could probably use your help with one thing though, onee-sama....” You lean up and whisper softly to her about needing some Red Bean Jelly made for Yui and Akari. She laughs softly and nods. Kiku is still blinking blearily as you take a deep breath and go to the last private room.

It was meant to be your room, and it was, until you turned it into a sleepover party for yourself and your two-too-cute subordinates and then got skewered. You were sleeping in the living room where someone could keep an eye on you all the time. So by default Kumatori-Kiki is now sleeping in your bed. A quick glance at Yui and Akari shows them deeply intent on trying to find the safest routes while Jinyuu-onee-sama is talking to Miko-Kiku, and you slip inside your room, closing the door behind you.

[] Quietly and gently, wake up the princess.

In my case it's because I have no idea of her abilities, no time to find out, and I'd rather not endager her pointlessly.
>>
>>32841304
No, I was saying that we were selfish as fuck. The only people that have access to our naughty pictures are our girls
>>
>>32841449
Well they should at LEAST have dibs and veto power.
We should totally make some for their birthdays though.
>>
>>32841436
I don't see why. She's way older than Kiki's dad, the only reason she's hanging around must be something related to their mom or Kiki herself. Either makes her trustworthy.

Though I'm not sure I like her reverence for Ryuukuza.
>>
>>32841486
>Though I'm not sure I like her reverence for Ryuukuza.
Thats my main worry.
>>
>>32841486
She apparently like the god of destruction we're the reincarnation of.

So really that's kind of a double-edged sword here: On one hand, she might help us, but on the other hand, she might like us destroying thing too much
>>
>>32841486

It's more her reaction when faced with danger that worry me. Untrained people tend to freeze, panic and/or do stupid things in dangerous situations. I'd rather have only one mark to protect and only people I'm sure of on my side.

Same reason I don't really want Jinyuu in a battle either, at least until we've had a training match and whe know what the girls can do.
>>
>>32841518
There's an easy fix: We just 'destroy' her, no need for collateral damage. Except maybe the bed.
>>
>>32841538
We need info on the place we're going, to see if it can hold a training match discretely
>>

>>
>>32841555
Barriers are already discreet enough.

[XXX] Collect your weapons from under the bed without waking her, THEN wake her.
[XX] Quietly and gently, wake up the princess.
[X] Get dressed, you exhibitionist.

Other than the glove you now wear – and it has quite the nice fit, so you suspect it was custom made – you're wearing a too loose robe which is barely tied at the waist and a lot of bandages. Also, you have now discovered something about having only part of an arm: the robe tends not to stay on your shoulder well. Which, while not slipping off, bares a lot of breast otherwise.

More importantly, Kiki, who is curled over in the futon and clutching her stuffed dragon (a Western style dragon, which boggles the mind), is also sleeping on some key pieces of equipment you would rather not have her near if she decides to wake up angry. While doubtful it's a possibility. So you walk swiftly and silently to the bed and kneel. Your wakizashi is under the pillowed part, and is mostly uncovered by her body and head, so that is easy.

The throwing knives (you make a note to have Akari or Yui fashion a second leg-strap so you can wear them all on the same leg now) are harder, you typically hide them between the blankets and the futon itself. Those she moved, and you close your eyes, feeling the bed, how it's folds and creases and sheets and blankets lie. It takes a few seconds to find them, and they're near her feet.

The last weapon is a lot harder to use one handed, but might be of use anyways. The ten foot long chain is slender and tough, made by oni-child artisans and strong enough to hold an actual oni. It's nearly indestructible, and it might be of use against the Grass-Cutting Blade. It's in a single length under the edge of the bed, and it takes some work not to wake her while coiling it and setting it with your knives, safely out of Kiki's reach.

Kumatori Kiki was one of the most irritating, stuck up, vicious brats in school. She was arrogant, pig-headed, and so self important. Yet when you met her in the office, she wasn't quite as angry as you thought she would be. Loud, yes, obnoxious....but also, vulnerable. You promised you'd protect her – even though you wanted to ruin her reputation and make her suffer at first, now she is one of three people you would die to protect. You very nearly did.

She whimpers and mutters something in her sleep, something fearful. You reach down and smooth her hair, drawing it back from her soft, rounded cheeks and her full lips. Without makeup she's even more pale than you had thought she would be. Not as pale as her sister, but not nearly as dark as you or Akari, two of the more pale of your clan. Kiki stirs slightly. “Wake up, Kumatori-sama. It's morning, and we must prepare.” She shifts slightly, and makes a soft inquisitive sound, the worry in her face vanishing instantly at your touch.

Your Pearl pulses, hot and powerful under your breasts, and it's almost painful. She opens her eyes, her hand touching her chest. Though there's not nearly the same sort of intensity as you suffered, judging by her expression. “Ryukusa-san....” She looks up at you, blinking slowly, her pink eyes glittering. “Are you all right.”

Yep!

Once Ryukusa and Kiki get a bit more comfortable around each-other and the experiments/arm aren't as immediately relevant or shocking, I'd love more fire/antagonism in their relationship, but given the relative fragility of their current situation and those worries I'm fine with a more subdued and loving thing at the moment.

[X] Warmth, truth, and teasing. The perfect wake up formula, right?

“I thought you heard – I'm Ryuu Ryukusa, and I'm invincible.” She blinks and starts to say something but you interrupt her by laying your hand along her hair, your thumb lightly brushing her horn. It doesn't feel woody at all despite it's appearance, but smooth and polished, like bone or horn. “And you are all right too, oujo-sama, and safe. You can wake up now.” Her eyes seem to become bright, and her expression falls a little. Your smile becomes slightly cheeky – that must have been a very bad nightmare indeed – as you chase away that tearful reaction.

“I trust my bed was comfortable? Sorry I couldn't join you in it, but I was out of sorts. Speaking of which, I may need someone else's hand in getting dressed. Or you can go wash up – I promise I won't peek much.” That last puts the sparks back in her eyes. Much better.

“Ryukusa-san, would wouldn't dare peek – my onee-sama will beat you silly.” That is entirely possible – she's much older and more experienced than you, even if she is weaker element wise.

“Oh, I could probably arrange a distraction,” you murmur as you help her out of the bed, rising easily without needing the second hand to balance you. She rises and lifts her chin, ignoring you as she lets go of your hand, though her fingers don't seem to want to agree with that course of action. Neither do yours, which is quite distracting. Kiki is so warm....

Then she reaches your closet and walks in, clearly expecting something both smaller and less complicated. Eight wall racks , each with it's own styles and outfits. “I did mention I was good with fashion.” She is staring in wonder at the wardrobe and you walk up behind her, your fingers sliding along her back gently. Kiki shivers but tries to ignore you, and you can smell the sakura blossom rinse she undoubtedly uses. Your Pearl is warm and throbs softly in time to your heartbeat. Or is that hers?

“I....why did you almost always wear the same thing outside of school when I saw you?” Her voice is soft and low, almost sleepy.

“Because training destroys clothing, oujo-sama. Clan Ryo isn't exactly poor, you know. Now....the most important part of the day. And remember, I do have to make breakfast still. So?”

[XX] “Classic Assassin One Arm Chic!” “Wait, what?” “Yes!”

Kiki looks overwhelmed by the assortment and array of clothing. It occurs to you to make sure you move this stuff back into ~Nowhere~ before the day is done, because if you do need Miko-Kiku's assistance, the destruction will probably be worse than if you flooded the place.

“I....I don't know where to begin, Ryukusa-san!” You pretend surprise as you toe a pair of Chinese slippers, black with gold embroidery and cultured pearls onto the floor. “I mean....it's....”

“Really? Well, that's kind of flattering, to have a wardrobe so spectacular it puts the Hojo Heiress to shame!”

She blushes and wades in, looking and pulling aside and studying, as if it were her own private shopping mall and you were a servant. Yes, much better than her fearful whimpers and her pained expression, that arrogance. But it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. Maybe you changed as much as she has.

Nah, fuck that.

After a while she shows you an array of outfits, mostly ones similar to the very classy business-ninja you showed up in at the office, and the more classical hakama and kimono style that suits the one-armed sword fighter shows so well. You study them for a moment, then glance at her. “So, you really liked me dressed as a man, huh? Neither of those looks is really very feminine, you know!” She sputters but you sweep several things from what she chose and toss them into the coverlet of the futon. “Right, let's see.” Untying the robe and letting it drop to the floor, you can sense her blush from across the room....but she doesn't flee.
>>
>>32842300
It was indeed succesful. I nearly got banned.

>>
>>32842332
The hard part of course, should be the under-kimono. You kneel and take it one handed and heft it, make it flutter....then you fling it around your back, and pull the stump of your left arm close to your chest before thrusting it out to catch the sleeve. It works, Which is a surprise in and of itself. You take your wakizashi (Was it foresight that you didn't go with a longer weapon? You wonder now, as you didn't before. Well that and everyone uses katanas nowadays.) and slice off the extra sleeve easily. Tying the fasteners isn't too difficult. Panties are easy as well – elastic is helpful, and you're surprised it works out so easy. Pants, pants are hard. Rather than the hakama, you decided on some sleep black slacks, embroidered at the cuffs. No stockings or socks today. You step into them and discover that the problem with this is sides – you can only pull one of four sides up at a time.

Then you feel the aura of warmth as she moves close and takes the sides of your pants and helps you slide them up your thighs, over your hips. She presses close, her breasts soft and warm along your back, and her fingers tangle with yours as you fasten the hooks to keep the fly closed. “Allow me, Ryukusa-san.” Her voice is soft and husky, as she takes up the short kimono, and slowly helps you put it on. You've proven you don't need the help for this....but the feel of her arms brushing yours, her body near yours is too lovely to ignore.

She steps around and tucks the black shading to dark blue kimono in, and then ties the belt. “Fold....fold the sleeve. Pin it loosely, rather than firmly.” You'll recruit Akari to help you with that later – it's a classic trick, one you can't let the opportunity slide on. Her soft, warm eyes meet yours and your breath catches.

“Hai, Ryukusa-san.” she does so, with the effacing attentiveness of a wife helping her husband dress. The final touch, a slender obi tied at the front, rather than the back, black with golden dragons, covering the kimono's normal belt, and allowing you to tuck your wakizashi between them.

“Ari...arigatou, oujo-sama.”

She bows, deeply, and then walks to the bathroom, and closes the door, clearly not allowing you to peek. Although....you've had a glimpse of something more alluring and valuable, just now, you think.

You stare at the door, wondering if it would be worth it to peek. It wouldn't be out of character. If anything not peeking would be out of character. But then again....you shared something....something....Heaven you don't know WHAT you shared. And then you hear the water being drawn for rinsing, and the tub being filled for soaking.

With water.

The temptation to use your Element to peek is insanely powerful....but you resist. Kami preserve you, you resist. Deep, slow breaths, remember you are wounded.

On the other hand, more important matters demand attention. “Akari-niji-chan....I need some assistance.” She slips inside and glances toward the shower, then to you and immediately looks down, blushing. “Not that kind! I need this chain, and some knives!”

“Oh! Hai, aniki.” You explain what you want to do, and she grasps the concept instantly and immediately, and helps you with the arrangement. It's uncomfortable at first, but you get used to it. Akari undoes some of Kiki's work and you adjust your arm, and she looks at you, worried. You nod encouraging her. She takes the chain, and bends the silver serpent-pins you used to make the tourniquet, and then fastens the very end of the chain to it. Slowly, gently, she wraps your stump in the slender black chain, the sensation of her fingers brushing your arm, the feel of her arm brushing your breast different, yet almost as satisfying as when Kiki was dressing you. You lean close and inhale her scent. A warm, earthy scent, almost musky, but flavored with ozone, traces of Yui upon her. She pauses, her hands taking on a fine tremor, and then continues, slowly, her cheeks deep red and her eyes half lidded.
>>
>>32842737
When it is finish you have the nasty trick many one-armed swordsman in movies and anime have, and unlike them, you are far more capable with it.

Sadly, the braces of throwing knives are out of the question, so the wakizashi and the chain will make do. If no one expects the chain, then they haven't been paying attention to who you are, and Akari agrees wholeheartedly. Still you manage a couple of knives in a wrist brace. Power over the wind will assist you in using them well; she places them in your sleeve, and on either side of your short kimono, in between the belts. Hardly more than darts, those two.

But that also lets you stroke her hair, her horns, admiring your steadfast, most trusted friend, your beloved niji-chan. As she finishes, Akari glances at you, then at the sounds of Kumatori Kiki washing in the other room, singing softly. She looks up at you, and rises to her tip-toes and rests her forehead against your cheek, her small horns cool and strangely electric against your skin. “If you need, Yui and I can assist you, Ryukusa-sama.” Her voice is soft and gentle, almost....almost....no, it IS understanding.

“Akari-chan....if I want you for that....I want YOU, for that. But....not now. Not yet.” You look her in the eyes and kiss her horns softly, making her gasp and go weak in the knees. Her eyes are half litted and she almost seems overwhelmed, which your sister said wasn't supposed to be possible.

But then, you're not really a dragonette, are you?

“Right, that's enough of that, breakfast!” you exclaim and turn her about, marching her out of the room one handed.

You march Akari into the living room, propel her toward Yui, who catches Akari as she starts to stumble. Her glowing green eyes look up at you and you give her a wink, and she blushes instantly and deeply. Miko-Kiku and Jinyuu-onee-sama are up and the scent of incense is filling the rooms slowly, a pleasant, pervasive scent.

“Right, no one except Akari-chan is allowed in the kitchen, I'm not responsible for your safety!” You claim loudly. The quartet look at you rather disbelieving, but you stalk into the kitchen and study your situation. Akari is pretty much indestructible, and you're not worried for her safety. You couldn't really harm Kiki-oujo-sama permanently, but it would still hurt and....that would be more painful for you, you think.

Shaking your head to clear it you turn on three burners to low, set out the rice-cooker, two pots and a pan, and collect ingredients. When you realize that you just don't have enough hands to cope with collecting ingredients, you start using your tail, your perfect body control allowing you to know perfectly where your tail is compared to the rest of your body. Knives? You have a full set of talons, and they get used, liberally – you have the tofu, onions, pickles, and fish sliced and ready to go in moments. Boiling water is as much a threat to you as freezing water – none – so you don't worry about splashing much.

You DO make quite the spectacular mess when you explode one jar of pickled radishes while trying to open it, but then you figure out the trick – hold the jar with your fingers, and spin the top with your thumb. Being inhumanly strong has a few advantages. You cook everything slowly, because one handed means you can't react quickly if too many things are finished at once. The hardest part are the eggs for tamagoyaki. Your tail comes to the rescue – a flick and it snaps the shells in half, and you can simply pour the eggs into the griddle, and from there fold them properly.
>>
>>32843155
“Breakfast!” You call, and they file in slowly. Miso soup, rice, tamagoyaki, lightly broiled fish, pickles, other pickles, those other other pickles, and finely sliced seaweed as a bed for the tamagoyaki. And, just for Akari and Yui, brought out very last after everyone is seated, two small dishes of prettily sliced Red Bean Jelly, arranged in a flower patters. Yui doesn't seem to get the significance, but Akari is shockingly red throughout the entire meal.

“I hope you didn't mind waiting so long, oujo-sama,” you reply, facing her across the table. Kiki's sister nearly chokes on her soup and Jinyuu-onee-sama smiles as she takes a sip of tea, and Akari looks pained.

“....but I have only just got out of the bath five minutes ago.” You glance at the clock. It's been 7 minutes since you entered the kitchen.

“....gomen.”

Breakfast is altogether one of the happiest you've had in weeks....maybe months. The talk is soft, and entirely pleasant, and nearly inconsequential. There are no arguments, and you managed to make enough to keep Yui eating so the others can finish their meals at the same time she does. You feel....better than good. You feel almost....it's impossible to explain, but you feel almost as though this were proper, to be the head of the household. Except you've never been in such a position, and your temperament really isn't suited for it, according to everyone you've seen fulfilling that place.

After Breakfast....

[] Talk to Miko-Kiku privately, see if she can direct you to someone who knows magic outside of the Elements & have her call Hojo.
[] Explain to everyone the current situation and plan.
[] Ask Jinyuu-onee-sama and Miko-Kiku if they wish to remain involved or not, as they have other duties.
[] Speak to Jinyuu-onee-sama about your vision in private.
[] Take Yui-niji-chan and discuss her role and her wishes – you drafted her, but this is going to get worse before it gets better.

Okay, first ohf all:
[] Explain to everyone the current situation and plan.

Once breakfast is done, it is Yui and Akari who clean everything up (though you cleaned up the cooking utensils earlier apparently....you lost track) and start the washing. You remain at the table, and though it galls Miko-Kiku, she remains sitting, though her tail twitches and slaps the floor constantly as she waits. You take a deep breath, organizing your thoughts. “Before I ask my questions, I will tell you the general idea. Tonight, we will move Kiki-oujo-sama to the more secure location, which is already protected and secured, magically and by mundane means. Jinyuu-onee-sama, Miku-sensei, I know you do not know where it is at the moment, but that is for your safety, more than ours. If we are attacked before the move, either Akari-niji or I will distract the opposition, depending on what kind of opposition it is. Whomever does not, will guard Yui-niji and Kiki-oujo-sama.”

No one speaks up, though Kiki looks understandably worried, so you continue. “Onee-sama, Miku-sensei,” you begin, which seems to mollify the golden-eyed miko. “I have no right to impose upon you, and before you go, I would like to ask you some opinions. But I do not think you should be involved further, as this is not business that you are meant to deal in.”

Jinyuu-onee-sama and Miko-Kiku look at one another and the diminutive dragonette slides her hands into the opposite sleeves – not that you could see them before – and bows her head. “Jinyuu-onee-sama discussed this between us last night. She will return to her duties, but I will assist you as best as can be done....provided we can find another healer, as my skills are inadequate.” Not to mention positively dangerous to two of your number and useless on the one who might need it most. On the one hand,. This solves one problem while placing another on your....tail. But for later. Also, she's a lot more polite during meetings than she is otherwise.
>>
>>32843593
“Then I'll speak to you both before you leave and we'll take care of oujo-sama. You may leave it to me.” You bow to your onee-sama and the delicate Fire dragonette, and they both incline their heads. “Otherwise, no calling anyone, no on-line activity. I'm sorry, but you'll have to be a little bored for today, Kiki-oujo-sama – well, unless you want to take another shower so I can peek.”

It is SO COOL how Miko-Kiku's hair explodes like fire! “Ecchi baka dragon,” she says into her sleeves.

“Y....you....OH!” Kiki storms off, and Yui and Akari glance at one another and follow her, after bowing to you.

“I must say my prayers, and will allow you and Kiku-sensei to speak, Aka-chan.” Your sister rises and then pauses before walking past you. She places a hand on your shoulder and you look up at her. “You have done very well, imouto-chan. You will continue to do well, and I believe you will see them all through.” You bow your head and she kisses the top of your head, which makes your hair tingle at the ends.

>Shen increases.

That leaves you and the diminutive miko. “Miko-Kiku, I am sorry for imposing upon you.” You bow and she hesitates then sighs. “I need to call your father directly, and I will explain to him what I am doing and why. But it must be you because I do not trust anyone else and you are the most likely to speak to him directly.”

“You know that he is not my father, baka dragon?”

You blink at her. “I can do math, yes. But he is the father of your sister, which I think matters to you a lot.”

She sighs again and nods. “Hai.”
>>
>>32843593
>Miku

Really, Xiom, you're digging your own grave with your names.
>>
>>32843615
“Here is what I would like you to tell him.” You write a note for her – using your tail to hold the paper in place, which you will have to figure out a better way of doing. “If you call from somewhere else, it would be best, but you can expect an attack if you stay there.”

“You're paranoid.”

“It's why they are paying me.”

“....that is very true. Hai, baka dragon, I will do this thing you ask.”

“There is one other thing. I need to know more about magic – not the Five Elements. Other magic.” She glances immediately at the lack of your left arm, and then at you, her golden eyes bright and intense. Her tail sways lazily behind her.

“I know of those who might help you. But it will not be easy, or safe.” Her voice is very soft, barely carrying through the dining room.

“Tell me....” you say softly.

The obvious choice is obvious....But that means entering an actual Barrier Trap. Not just any Barrier Trap, but the most powerful a dragonette can craft, make by a spiritualist, and containing a dragonette weak to her power but roughly even to yours. Assuming she's not as old as Kiku-sensei. “A void dragonette who knows magics beyond the elemental?”

Miko-Kiku nods and lowers her sleeves. “She is a sorceress, and not from Japan – she is from China. But she is still of the void, and she has studied arts from her homeland. If you can tame her, baka-dragon, I will let her out. But you will have to go in and convince her yourself. It will not be easy, and I do not think we will have time until my sister is safe.” She has a point there.

“Then we shall have to arrange it so. I would like to be more healed too. It will only take a couple of days for the wound to heal completely.” The delicate dragonette rises and then walks over to you. You turn in place to face her, kneeling.

“Thank you for protecting my sister from those who wish her harm, baka dragon.” she bows deeply, her eyes closed. Of course she is so short....

[XXXX] EEEE!!!!

You smiles and lay your hand on her head and gently ruffle the silky softness, her braids dancing. You continue to do so and she slowly looks up, her golden eyes wide and her pupils tiny slits....

GLOMP!

Her hair explodes as you hug her tight and snuggle with her, as she squeals and struggles helplessly in your grasp. Her swearing vocabulary is far, far worse than Yui's. Maybe Yui should take lessons?

Finally you kiss her on the forehead and she goes still in your arm. You hug her more gently, and murmur softly, “Domo arigato, for helping my friends.” She stays still and then her small, delicate hands slide under your arm and a half.

“Ir...Irrahasime, Ryuu-san.” She says it very quietly, and then steps back slowly, her cheeks bright red, her pupils huge and shocked looking.

“Akari-niji-chan will take you out the secret way, so that no one sees you leave.” With that you getup and make your way to your sister's room, still tingling from loli-hugs and the adorable shocked expression.

Your sister is packed and is kneeling under the window, her eyes closed, and her breathing slow, you close the door and move to kneel before her, and only when she opens her eyes do you speak. “I had a vision, onee-sama.” She seems unsurprised, though mildly concerned. You explain what you did, and what you saw, and ask her if there is any accuracy to it at all.

“As you know, those who have the power of stone and the Void can interfere....but yes. It is most likely a true seeing. But the problem with such seeings is that the seal the future in stone, for those of our kind. It is not like the divination that I use, or the Void showing glimpses of the future. When one of our kind - Water dragonettes – uses their eyes to see the future, they cannot change it no matter how hard they try, because what you see is a wave, and washing of the future into the past.”

It clicks almost immediately to your clever mind. “Like Horobi's death making waves in the future and past to cause disasters.”

“Yes, Aka-chan. You must not use this power, if you can avoid it. It can only bring you pain.” You consider her words carefully....then narrow your eyes.

“You used this power on me, didn't you.”

She looks ashamed – deeply ashamed.
>>

“Ah, onee-sama....” You rise and give her a one-armed hug, keeping your injured arm well away from her as you hold her close. “I will take care of you, and my niji-chans, and Kiki, and even that bratty little Miko-chan.” You hold her close, feeling her relent, relax into your arms.

“I am sorry for placing this burden upon you, Aka-chan....you did not deserve it.”

Pulling back, you grin at her. “It was your vision, not mine. I can make my own future.”

She smiles and caresses your cheek with the back of her fingers. “Hai, Aka-chan. You may just do so.”

You let her know Akari will take her to the back way out, and wait until she leaves before collapsing onto your back.

Even as prepared as you are, the situation could only get worse if that one glimpse is inaccurate in some way. Could the Void-oni you sensed have changed it? And so many stone oni-children, that could also cause problems, but then again these are not clan members, just fanboys and fangirls, you'd bet. Still....

“Aniki. Six people, three from the front, the others one to a side. Just outside the yard, approaching with stealth.” Akari murmurs from right next to you. It's dark out. You had to have slept. You must have exhausted yourself cooking and no one wanted to disturb you.

And that is a little disturbing.
>>
>>32844496
Kiki and Yui are in the room as well, Yui crouched, looking alert, and watching the door they entered through, while Akari is looking up at the window.

“How can she know that, she's not a Water dragon....” Kiki's confusion is earnest and it earns her an odd look from Yui and Akari

“This particular house is made out of mostly stone-based construction, meaning that Akari-niji-chan can see through most of the walls.” You stand up and consider, as Kiki blushes deeply. “I said most – the inner walls aren't so bad. Is Miko-Kiku here?”

“Hai, sleepy baka-dragon,” she calls from the living room.

[] You have a plan – stick to it. You can take untrained Stone spirit-children.
[] Change the plan on the fly. (Yes, that's a write in.)
[] Try diplomacy first. It might work!
[] See if Akari can identify them by sight before enacting a plan.
[] Make a Barrier – you don't have to necessarily use Barrier combat – Yui and Akari can break out easily after all, but so could other oni children or Stone dragonettes.

Let Akari and Yui deal with the Stone opponents. Akari can "tank" her own element, and stone is weak against void. In the meantime, we slip away with the sisters.
>>
>>32844646
I dunno, I don't think the stone children are the biggest threat so losing half our force to deal with them doesn't seem very prudent.

We have Akari and Yui stay behind as a distraction while we get the sisters away by using the secret way out.
If we use a tunnel, then Stonesense will find us out.

Dammit, I really wish we'd gotten those Airsoft micro-Uzi's with wooden pellets.
>>
>>32844680

They are the bigger threat to us, as stone destroys water; and Kiku is rather useless against them, as stone is fed by fire.

In this setting Fire is neutral against stone, since every element only has one weakness, and fires is water

We are on Page 10 already.
I do hope for a new thread, but just pointing out.

I'm sure anons will be at least SLIGHTLY more understanding than with the barrier stuff.

[X] Okay, here's an idea.....

“Akari, see if you can tell what everything is for certain. Everyone, to the living room, lets get some walls between us and them. Yui, prepare to run. I'm going to trap us all in a Barrier.” Before Kiki can protest you hold up your hand to her. “You are the only person that matters now, my oujo-sama.” That shuts her up instantly and firmly.

Akari and Yui are actually looking at you rather stunned.

You gesture for them to get on with it, glaring at them; they move, Yui firmly but gently guiding Kiki to the living room and Akari staring at the walls, occasionally shifting her position. You concentrate, and hurl up your hands, casting he Barrier over the eight buildings surrounding yours. But that elicits and immediate response from Akari.

“The three at the back and sides are gone, aniki. The other three are oni-born, not true oni, and they're dressed....weird.”

“How weird?”

“....like ninjas. Movie ninjas.”

REALLY?

“Okay. Yui, Akari, get oujo-sama out of here, out of the barrier. Kiku, stay in the house but be ready to back me up, or go after Yui if they seem weak. I'm going to....” You take a deep breath. “Talk to them.” Fire, Wood, and Void you recall from your vision – you and Kiku are the most deadly things to them, while Akari is weak to one and Yui is weak to another.

You step outside as Yui and Akari start to hustle Kiki out....but she pauses and gabs your hand. “Be careful....” is all she has time for before she is dragged away.

“This is dumb, baka dragon.”

“Yes, duly noted, thank you SOOOO much.”

You step outside and don't see anything immediately....and then three figures in dark clothing leap up, over the exterior wall into the yard, crying out....

“BEHOLD THE POWER OF ANONIMOUS!!!!”

Thanks for running, XS.

An idea about next time?

Thanks for running.
I'm curious to see how you match the plans up.
But I do wonder why we tak, has anyone even voted for that option ?

What's the pun?
>>
You are all welcome.

And plans posted before thread-death will be considered given your 'new' information.

>>32845160
In six threads you the only one to mention it.
>>
>>32845217
One did. Most voted for using 'strong element on our side against weak on their side' as distraction, they just forgot which ones were strong to the ones in the vision, which is understandable.
