You are Vance Smith, a bounty hunter mainly, but not afraid to take on any sort of job; your history is a mystery (see what I did there?), and it is up to the fucking QM to get to his damn backstory sometime soon.

Last time we left off, Vance took a bath and thanks to shitty player rolls, were seen by the weapon's vendor and Ariel (Nothing important storywise, just want you guys to know because FFFUUUCCCKKK D20s), but as we were in a bar; we overheard a little bit of a job offer (Not really) and set off with two other men to a nearby town, called Red Cliff, where we saw both of the men commit suicide and fought off hordes like a badass. After we removed the NCR Ranger armor from one of the men; we found he was a she! After setting out to dig a grave, we had a man sneak upon us, but we kicked his ass. Now, we just have this note.

'We have your little girl, meet us in the bar downtown. You killed my wife, so I might kill your little lady. We will have an exchange, a ransom maybe.'

You read the note once again to see, if you were not just misreading it, but it said all the same. The fucker that you just beat still sobbing in the ground.

“Fucker has Ariel, what do I do?” You pace back and forth, biting your fingernails. This girl you had only come to know a couple of days ago, but it seems like you were starting to like this one, but it was snatched out from under your feet, but maybe you were letting yourself get a bit attached from this early on, but this decision…

“What should I do?” You start walking toward the bar, moving past the rickety wooden buildings that seemed to look like they would collapse at any moment. The wood cracked and some wooden boards for the buildings were actually broken. Your feet were carrying you by themselves, by choice or by instinct, you don’t know.
What do we do, /tg/?

You walk through the deserted town, until you come in front of the building. The bar, which seems to have a sign that is crooked and appears to be hanging, "The Crooked Inn" it says. Almost seems a bit appropriate for the situation, you approach it with its old saloon doors. You push the white doors open and find yourself on the inside. Dimly lit and guns being handled over the rails upstairs

"Didn't know this would be a hostage situation for me too." You smile, trying to see any weak points in the man, holding Ariel. The man had a broken nose, twisted to the left a bit. His eyes were narrowed at you, but you could still see the blackness of his eyes.

"Well, we didn't come here to chit-chat; we're here for a ransom, and I am here to make sure you do not pull a fast one on me." He says, shifting his legs.

"Well, I don't think I look like that much of an untrustwo-" You stop and hear steps coming from behind you but as you turn, you see a fist fly toward you and hit you in the face, but that's the last thing you remember feeling.

You wake up in a cage with your hands behind your back tied to the cage as you can feel. The rope twisting into your skin as you move your hands. Across from you though is the person you wanted to save, but you never had the chance to even give anything. You see that you are still in your armor, pretty nice for them to do, since you don't think you want to be seen naked.

"Ariel, are you okay? Have they done anything to you?" You whisper to her, her eyes not breaking as she stares at you.

"I-"

"Let's see here, we have a sword that looks like it is good for nothing, a sniper rifle that we will sell in town, a hunting rifle, and a pistol. You have been doing good for yourself, kid." He pulls the pistol out of its holster and turns it around, "You must be a good killer and could be selled at a greater price it seems." Slavery wasn't that uncommon in the vast wasteland; you saw it every now and again, but never gave it much thought.

"As for you miss, you will be someone's waitress and maybe a bed warmer; you never know. I might even have you myself." His shit-eating grin flashing at her, "But for now, I must keep you as caged animals, until we find a person to sell you to." He paced in front of the cage.

"We'll be in the next town soon enough, but for now, sleep and rest for a bit; you have a long day ahead of you both."

"So, did you bring anything with you?" You whisper to Ariel after the man is gone. She lifts her leg.

"I've still got my knife in my there." Ariel says, putting her leg down.

"Good, we might need it." Now if only I would've gotten a knife too, you think, but you did manage to sneak a lockpick into the cage. You start shifting your hands back and forth, chafing your wrists but undoing the rope's thread also. You keep going for what seems like 30 minutes before the rope is completely undone. You're glad that he hasn't posted guards for the night. You crawl to Ariel and get the knife out of her boot and cut off the rope around your ankles and cut her ropes.

Now the lockpick

"Act like you're hurt, Ariel." You say to her.

"SOONNNNUVVVVAAAABITCCCHHH" You hear her yell loudly which hurt like a bitch to hear.

"You, go out there and see what that is about." You hear the man who seemed to be the leader say.

You see a man approach the cage. He is dressed in jeans and a regular black shirt.

"What's the problem in here?" He asks, your hands look like they're tied behind your back.

"I have a sharp pain in my luh--" She acts as if a sharp pain is hitting her; the man steps into the cage.

"Are you okay?" He asks, sincerely worried.

To be honest that might stun him more than any attack we could make. I'd freak out a bit if I saw a guy up and stab himself in the arm/leg/chest while I was fighting him.
>>
>>32804063
Thank you, based Dice Gods.

You throw sand in his eyes, and he gives a grunt, but as he rubs it out of his eyes; you bring your knife back against his throat and slice it; blood oozing out of his wound, the gurgling sound of him trying to breath, then his body going limp.

"Okay, let's see... We have a pistol, assault rifle, another clip of ammo for the assault rifle, and a knife, standard stuff. Ariel, I want you to have the pistol, while I take the knife and assault rifle. Oh and here, have your knife back." You say, giving her the knife and strapping on the assault rifle and grabbing the knife, which looks looks like a Bowie knife it seems.

Now, what should be our priority?

>>
>>32805143

Judging by your response we're in a right proper slaver camp of a much larger size than we were under the impression it was.

But yes, they were srs. (Perhaps you should've offered the option to look around the camp to assess our opposition).
>>
>>32805143
of course we'll need a bit of strategy, we can't go all guns blazing when we only have two chargers.
first step would probably be to check our surroundings.
>>
>>32805282

Then again these slavers don't seem particularly competent, seeing as they left our armor on, didn't post a guard by the prisoner cages, sent only 1 guy (and haven't checked on him yet), let us talk to another prisoner, and were actually mildly pleasant to us when we woke up in the cage (you know, for slavers/bandits).
>>
>>32805242
The only reason I ask is because we could probably die, if this goes the wrong way, so I am hoping /tg/ knows what they are doing.

You walk out of the cage and hear a man coming out of the same building.

"Sam, you okay? I heard gurgling in here." You step behind a cover near the scrap metal building which are surrounding every side of you. Ariel comes beside you. The man sees the dead body and turns around about to run.

>>
>>32805855
You vault over the little cover you were crouching against and bring your arm around, stabbing the man in the head; his body becoming limp, and you end up falling to the ground as well. You hit some metal on the way down, but only get a couple of scratches, which caused a lot of noise, and you hear footsteps coming out of different buildings, but there are only three doors to come from, but the sound gets increasingly louder.
