"Aw man..." I say, looking out the window when I first wake up. I like to wake up at like dawn, but we took so long getting unpacked yesterday and I went to sleep pretty late.

Darn it, now my whole day's been thrown off.

After walking over to the pen that Aunt Ariane set up for Inaba and letting her out so she can run around and stuff, I get to doing my morning pushups. Inaba's like... running circles around my arms the whole time, I think she thinks it's some kind of game.

I really hate doing pushups, but I want to be strong enough to cut bad guys in half like Andreas did so I keep on going until I can't do any more.

I really miss him.

Inaba looks pretty happy right now running around in her pen and eating hay, but I'm still feeling kind of weird about being so far from home.

Especially since I have no idea when we'll be allowed to come back.

Uncle Gregory said that his mansion's safe so it's okay for me and Luciana to walk around inside on our own, but we still need bodyguards if we want to outside or to the castle or anywhere else.

"Ugh..." Luciana glares at me. "Whatever, let's just get this over with already."
"You're totally gonna looooooose!" I make a face at her.

Aunt Ariane then rolls out the dough on a cutting board until it's nice and flat, then she cuts off a strip for me and another for Luciana.

"Guillaume and I will take care of the rest, so you two make do with these," she says. "Luciana's already read the recipe, but do you know what to do?"
"N... not really," I say with a weak smile.

I kind of jumped into this without thinking it over.

"Well then... Guillaume, would you mind directing the two Princesses for me?"
"Okay," Guillaume replies. "Just listen to me and it'll turn out alright."
"'kay," I nod.
"Very well," Luciana says.

Following Guillaume's instructions, I roll the dough until it's flat, then smear butter all over the dough and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar filling on top of it.

I put extra on mine 'cuz I want it to taste extra good.

After that, I take FOREVER taking the dough and rolling it extra carefully until it looks like a long log... Guillaume says that this is where I'm supposed to start cutting them into the actual cinnamon rolls.

After letting them sit for a while so the dough can rise some more, Aunt Ariane puts all the cinnamon rolls in the oven so they can bake.

Rana practically charges into the kitchen, much to the surprise of nobody.

"We're making cinnamon buns," Guillaume says.
"Whoa, seriously?" Rana gasps.

That smile on her face is waaay too wide.

For the rest of the time it takes for the cinnamon buns to finish, we just kind of wait around... but the smell of FINISHED PASTRIES fills the air pretty fast and then Aunt Ariane takes everything out of the oven.

The cinnamon buns smell SOOOOOO good, and they look good too... well, Aunt Ariane and Guillaume's do, anyways. Theirs look exactly how the ones you'd find at a bakery would look. And mine are HUGE and extra yummy-looking.

Luciana's are kind of pathetic-looking in comparison, though I can't say that they look -gross- or anything.

Now it's my time to show off. With a running start, I dash over to Rana, ducking down and doing a full leap just before I reach her hand. Using her claw as a handspring, I push myself up and do a little flip before gently handing on her palm.

Once she's sure that both me and Guillaume are secure, Rana closes her hands -just- enough so we don't fall out before she starts to flap her wings. It's kind of weird watching the ground slowly get farther and father from my feet... this is way different from Meteo Wing.

The scenery's really nice from up here... it's too bad Meteo Wing's supposed to be a flying busting-through-walls-type spell instead of a normal flight one or I might be tempted to use it just to appreciate the view.

But I promised Andreas that I wouldn't do dumb stuff like that anymore so I won't.

After a few minutes, Rana starts to go lower...

...and lower...

...and finally, we gently land on the ground and she lets us hop off of her hands as the castle guards start to swarm us.

"Isn't that the same dragon that was passed out by the front gate the other day?"

I dunno, I think the most obvious cases of Reintardation were indeed caused by players not paying attention and going full shonen/trying to sabotage other routes, but I still think the drama surrounding the Reinbowl was inevitable, both because /tg/ is indecisive as fuck and because Arch basically encouraged the players to not commit to nor reject any girl for the first part of the Quest and then let out the signal that the routelock would happen soon.

So Reinhold would have ended up an heartbreaker even without player retardation, unless a miracle happened and everyone agreed to turn down Sylvie or Luciana early in the Quest.
