Peasant Quest Part 6

Previous Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/32655615/

Welcome back to Peasant Quest.

Choices by vote & as always more weight will be given to interesting/perceptive/well thought out posts.

Questions encouraged.

Picking up with the result of the vote as option 2 winning.
---

You refuse Octavia’s offer, what you see here is utterly monstrous. Worse there is some part of you that this horror appeals to, if you stay here you will surely lose even more of a grip on your humanity. You may have been able to get useful knowledge here but it is not worth the inevitable descent in to madness & cruelty.
Octavia is not pleased by your refusal, she seems to take it as a grave insult and behind that you sense a bitter loneliness & disappointment in her. She curses you for a fool and banishes you from her domain bidding you to never return. Your vision swims for a moment and you suddenly find yourself back above ground in the graveyard. You make your way out into the surrounding city looking for someplace to take shelter for the day...
>>
>>32671912

The next few months are not easy for you, moving from place to place & effectively living like a beggar in the squalid streets of London. You learn to accept your hunger, it must be satisfied from time to time or you lose yourself to it, going into a mad frenzy and coming to amidst the mutilated bodies of your victims.

You learn to sate yourself on the wicked or upon those whose lives do not seem to be worth living. It is a hard compromise to bear but you have little choice.

You manage to learn written English and read discarded newspapers and books for scraps of knowledge about the world and you gain a basic understanding of the time you are in. The other vampires of London shun you, Octavia seems to be the closest thing they have to a ruler, she may well have issued some kind of edict against you. Though they make no attempt to harm you, you presume this is because of your perceived status as a member of the second generation.
>>
>>32671928

After the first two years of your life as an undead mendicant , you have drawn some unpleasant conclusions from your observations about yourself and your surroundings.

*Passive ability: Psychic Miasma*
Your presence seems to have a negative effect on the minds of the living over time, the longer you stay in one place the worse it becomes. People for miles around are plagued with strange nightmares, the incidence of lunacy and suicide increases, tempers fray more easily and people are prone to violence and despair.

*Passive ability: Pestilence*
Wherever you are, sickness follows. Scarcely a week after settling down, you note that local wells seem to spontaneously befoul themselves. Vermin multiply and swarm in unprecedented numbers, food rots with unusual speed, crops wither and fail & a disease you have heard named ‘The Black Death’ manifests itself, taking a terrible toll in lives.

Perhaps more directly useful, you have come to a greater understanding of your physical attributes.

+Breathless: You do not need to breathe, you have made good use of this trait to take shelter at the bottoms of rivers and ponds during the day.

+Regeneration: Any wound thus far inflicted on you heals almost instantly, even severed limbs grow back. The spear wound in your chest remains with you however.

+Strength: You have not yet discovered a limit to your physical strength, assuming that you are fed. You were able to effortlessly flip over a train carriage full of coal & have even overpowered another vampire without exerting yourself.

+Speed: You are able to run as fast a horse when you need to.

+Endurance: You do not tire, you could run all night if the mood struck you.

Now five years have passed, it is 1904. There does not seem to be much left for you in London. Kassa is not here & the only one who may know something of her is not willing to speak with you. You are resolved to move on, but where shall you go and how do you get there?
>>
Here's some appropriately gloomy background music:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ApZyqCNgJo
>>
Hey Helios

I think I speak for everyone when I say no more final destination after yesterdays farce.

Also, it looks like I was right in thinking option 2 was goddamned stupid. Shoulda shacked up with the creepy vampire queen.
>>
>>32671946
Make our way toward Rome, Octavia died in the empire and she's the oldest being we've met, so there might be some record of Kassa. As for transport save up a few pounds catch a ferry to the continent and walk from there. Also I'm glad we ditched the creepy vampire lady.
>>
>>32672324
I agree with this
>>
>>32672324

You are effectively a beggar, the people you prey upon tend not to have any money themselves.

Scraping together enough money to book legitimate passage on a ship will take a very long time or other measures of getting currency.....
>>
>>32672433
Break into a rich guys house steal and if he is there why not have a snack
>>
>>32671912
What. A simple refusal to live with them and instantly kicked out and shunned by every vamp in the city? That's more than extreme.
>>
>>32672324
I'll second the trip to rome
>>
>>32671946
>>32672433

Sneak onto a ship without paying. Are prison hulks still a thing at his point in history? If they are sneaking onto one shouldnt be difficult and would be ideal.

>>32672471
Octavia did not strike me as a paragon of sanity and restraint.
>>
>>32672471
If i remember history right she was abandoned/fucked over by her husband or something, maybe it made her not get along with rejection
>>
>>32672471

If she is a queen of sorts, then refusing such an offer could have been seen as a massive snub, we don't know the conventions of vampire society. She was also pretty crazy.

Dont look at me though I voted 1.
>>
>>32672495
>Sneak onto a ship.

This, to Rome!
>>
Bullshit, more people voted 1.

OP, this thread has been infested with trolls and moralfags ever since we decided to surrender ourselves to the Sun-Knights and get ourselves killed.
>>
>>32671946
>Passive ability: Psychic Miasma

We Cthulhu now.

>Passive ability: Pestilence

This is probably going to cause problems on any kind of long sea voyage.
>>
>>32672618
And by killed, I mean locked away for 100,000 years.
>>
>>32671946
Do we have that stare power?
>>
>>32672618
Within the 5 min frame, more voted 2. I share your pain as I really liked writing Octavia.

>>32672634
Yes, but it's not mind control. It basically just destroys the minds of the weak willed, think 'deer in the headlights'.
>>
Also getting a deadlock between sneak onto ship and somehow buy our way onto one.

How are we getting this done gentlemen?
>>
>>32672692
I vote sneak.
>>32672665
It's cool bro, I understand.
>>
>>32672665
Well their are other second generations so lets kill some rich guys ad go meet some in Rome.
>>
>>32672692
Lets sneak
>>
May I ask, what does everyone else imagine as our endgame? I've been wanting to meet Kassa and then plunge the world into darkness under the cult of the Pale Tree, but apparently, as seen from our refusal of Octavia's offer, we don't want to embrace our darker nature.
>>
>>32672692
We could always pull a dracula and sneak about , kill everyone and lash the captain to the wheel as we near port. Fun times for all
>>
>>32672740
let's turn that around new buddy
>>
>>32672740
Maybe try to cure our self so we can live a happy normal life in peace?
>>
>>32672740

I like the idea that our character believes himself a good person, but is morally compromised in a number of ways and willing to do some nasty shit with sufficient motivation.

A slide into full on chaotic evil dark lord is a bit much though and seems OOC.

You search the docks & it isn’t long before you find a suitable ship, a prison hulk. There’s no shortage of warm bodies aboard, many of whom have been convicted of horrible crimes. The prisoners are enough that it is unlikely an extra hand will be noticed.

You conceal yourself inside one of the large casks of water being taken aboard. No living man would be able to smuggle themselves onto the ship in this way, so you reason it’s unlikely you’ll be found until the cask itself is tapped.
The ship itself is large, but squalid and in poor repair, likely having been hastily refitted into its current role. The hold is packed with convicts of every description and armed guards patrol the decks and a full complement of crew above. Some 400 souls all told.

The ship named “The Exploration” sails out of the Thames estuary without incident and is well out to sea by the time you awake on your third night aboard. You hear scuffling and tapping outside the cask, you think someone may be about to open it!

What do you do?
>>
>>32673005
Break out with our super-strength and quickly scurry into the shadows. Conditions are bad enough on here that others will pass it off as dementia or nerves.

Can we climb up walls?
>>
>>32673076
>Can we climb up walls?

You havn't tried....
>>
>>32673118
Rollin then
>>
Rolled 65

>>32673134
Ugh, messed that up. Let's try again
>>
>>32673005

If we've been in some barrel we havn't fed in a few days.

Chomp this guy, then search for a dark corner of the ship to hid in. Break the lights in the room we're in if possible.
>>
>>32673005
Feast and hide the body or chuck him overboard what ever is the easiest
>>
>>32673005
Drag the body into the barrel and feast.
>>
>>32673005
Launch out and attack him.
>>
You burst from the barrel with all your might, shattering it from within. The man you find is middle-aged, overweight & wearing a greasy apron. The hunger is starting to make its presence felt after 3 days in the barrel and you swiftly fall upon him and drain him dry.

You turn your attention to the room you find yourself in. It is large and filled with crates and casks, presumably of various foodstuffs. There are no portholes to throw the body out of however, you are most likely below the waterline. There are only two lamps in the hold and you quickly extinguish, then smash them.

You conceal the body as best you can beneath the remains of the barrel you broke out of, though this will not serve for long, the body will start to smell soon which will attract attention.

A steep wooden stair leads to the deck above and you can hear tell-tale sounds indicating that there are many people there.

What do you do?
>>
>>32673467
Try our hand at cooking up some grub.
>>
>>32673485

But.....why?
>>
>>32673467
Scurry up the stairs as fast as possible and find a new place to hide.
>>
>>32673467
Dress yourself in your victim's garb
>>
Worst comes to worst we could eat everyone on the ship
>>
>>32673467

Go to the bottom of the stairs and listen, try and make out how many people are up there and what they're talking about.
>>
>>32673538
Eh, let see if we can become the cooks help for a few days. Then we can wander around the ship freely.
>>
>>32673467
Dress yourself in the victim's clothes sounds good, than go upstairs.
>>
>>32673606

We dont exactly look human Anon and we may have just killed the cook...

>>32673608
This
>>32673602
and this.
>>
>>32673626
Its more of a why not. No one on the ship can even harm us, plus if it gets to bad we can take it over with brute force.
>>
>>32673639

We'd have to kill or cow everyone in the space of one night.

Daylight comes around and we switch off, they could just throw us overboard.
>>
>>32673674
Tell some of the prisoners that they will be free if they work for us, and hold an uprising.
>>
>>32673699

We have to stay hidden, we are totally helpless during the day. Do you really trust a bunch of convicts not to just chuck us overboard as soon as we've killed enough guards?

Thats even assuming they listen to us at all, OP has outright described us as a "terrifying abomination".
>>
>>32673699
I like this idea
>>
>>32673765

It's an awful idea and we'll wake up at the bottom of the sea if we go through with it. It's a long walk to Rome.
>>
Will do next update when we have a clear consensus...
>>
>>32673843
Well, somewhat clear anyway.

Seems to be between, try and start a prison riot or creep about and find somewhere to hide.
>>
>>32673867
I vote creep about and find somewhere to hide.
>>
>>32673867
Kill our way to the cells and pick the meanest bastards and try and turn em to vampires , let them feed on the rest of the inmates.
>>
>>32673763
If we get thrown over board we can just walk along the bottom till we get to land we don't need to breath, it's impossible to kill us, so why not take some risks?
>>
>>32673867

RIOT!

Go upstairs, kill a few guards, break some shackles. Yell "Serve me and be free!"
>>
>>32673867
Find somewhere to hide.
>>
>>32673843
Riot
>>
>>32673867
Hide. We don't want those prisoners to riot, they're food.
>>
Starting a riot will backfire horribly, what the fuck is with anons making bad decisions in this quest lately.
>>
>>32673867
Hide no riot, the slaves dont know how to operate the boat and they will kill all the sailors
>>
>>32673945
Exactly we'll just be stuck dead in the water on a boat full of criminals.
>>
>>32673867
just sleep on the bottom of the boat come up to feed on crew/inmates at night its not that hard of a plan
>>
You creep upstairs and find that fortunately the deck is dimly lit, you manage to make your way into a seemingly unused storage cabinet.

You continue the next few nights like this, moving from place to place, you manage to stuff your first victims body out of a porthole on the upper deck in an opportune moment, two more soon follow. It is difficult to ration yourself with so many warm bodies pressed into such a tight space.

You wake to a sense of panic in the air, the prisoners and crew are all talking in worried tones and rushing about.

From what you can overhear, it seems that one of the engineers had not slept in several nights due to the vivid nightmares that are affecting many on board. The mental fatigue apparently caused him to snap and he set himself alight in the engine room, the resulting fire was eventually brought under control but not before killing 8 men, badly burning 5 others and leaving the engine damaged beyond repair.

It seems 'The Exploration' is now adrift with no means of propulsion.

To make matters worse, rumour has it that the first mate has fallen ill and is being isolated in his quarters for fear of contagion and rats have gotten into the foodstores...

The mood of the crew and prisoners rests on a knife edge....

What do you do?
>>
>>32674282
How far out to sea are we?
>>
>>32674282
Surely this hulk must have oars or sails in its reserves; could those be utilized?
>>
>>32674282

>>
>>32674282
Try to gain a greater power over our passive abilites to have them stop.
>>
>>32674282
Get out and push the boat, feeding when needed.
>>
>>32674282
Is there a lifeboat?
>>
>>32674310
You don't know.

>>32674311
Hulks were often hastily and clumsily refit to accomodate the prison population. This vessel is an example of such a practice and such failsafes were not considered.

>>32674347
You have attempted this in the past without success, perhaps with more time or the guidance of someone experienced with such powers you could do it. But not quickly and not in this place where so much of your mental energy is devoted to evasion and survival.

>>32674382
There are 4, though not enough for the entire crew, let alone the crew and the prisoners.
>>
>>32674282
Eat and work on our abilities when the ships is no longer of use abandon it we are own a few days swim back to London where we an jut try again
>>
>>32674282
Stage a riot.
>>
>>32674469
Take a life boat and row to the nearest landmass
>>
>>32674469
I have a suggestion similar to >>32674484 but I think we should swim by night to Europe.

Our intellect has given us a knowledge of the night sky, and how to navigate it. Even accounting for planetary precesion, we could orient our path using the stars and moon to head for Europe.
>>
>>32674513

True but we black out during the day, the current could take us god knows where by the time we wake up.
>>
>>32674513

You cant really swim. You simply sink to the bottom.

You have considered the notion of walking beneath the sea before, you think you can do it but are not keen to try.
>>
Have we figured out how to turn people, because I'd we can we can go to the the firs mate and offer to cure him and then have him take us to Rome

Or combine the two and do pic related
>>
>>32674775
Ha! I like the way you think
>>
>>32674718
You have not. (This kind of thing was down the Octavia path)

You plot on how to turn this situation to your advantage, perhaps instigating a riot amongst the prisoners who are already paranoid about the crew abandoning ship and leaving them at the whim of the ocean.

You wait another night but it seems the prisoners have already made up their minds by the time you wake. The first mate has died and 5 other crewmembers are now showing signs of illness. Facing an uncertain period without resupply and having to pass through the prisoner decks to reach the foodstores the captain orders them moved to the upper decks.

The prisoners, reasoning that they would inevitably be denied food in favour of the crew turn to open revolt and a fierce struggle ensues.

Many men lie dead before it is over, the foodstores are roughly divided between the prisoners and the crew. The ship has been split in two, with the crew holding the upper decks and the prisoners the lower.

In the confusion it seems that the captain and several officers have made off with one of the lifeboats and another has been damaged.

What do you do?
>>
>>32675026

With fear of disease running rampant, we can probably get away with wrapping some cloth over our face and pretending to be one of the prisoners.
>>
>>32675026
2 lifeboats remaining?

Well, I say we start another riot (or maybe a fire?) and escape in one of the lifeboats amidst the frenzy.
>>
>>32675026
>>32675119

Should probably stay on the ship for now, its where the food is, with a pinch of
>>32675083
We may be able to gain some influence over the prisoners.
>>
>>32675119

Two remain, though they are on the upper deck whilst you are on the lower. The access points are being carefully watched as a result of the standoff.
>>
>>32675026
I vote that we continue to sleep and watch what happens, it's been working out for us so far...
>>
>>32675026
Work on becoming the leader of the prisoners.
>>
>>32675083
Likewise, since they're already growing crazy it shouldn't be too easy to fool them. I do suggest we also find a way to secure a lifeboat and some bodies for blood too if things suddenly get sour.
>>
>>32675026
Take a remaining lifeboat if there is one if not walk a long the bottom of the sea
>>
>Be told your unholy presence makes people crazy and speads the black death to those around you when you stay in one place.

>Hey guys lets go on a sea voyage, staying in an enclosed space with loads of people who cant leave for a long period of time.

Never change /tg/.
>>
>>32675218
Were you here for the last thread? /tg/ cannot follow instructions for ass.
>>
Why do we bother with blending in now? It's not going to help us, the ship is out of action.
>>
>>32675239

I've been here from the beginning. We couldve been a sun-paladin dammit!
>>
>>32675261
That's /tg/ caliber decision making for you.
>>
>>32675203
>no idea where we are
>leave the only source of food for what may be hundreds of miles to spend half our time being blown about by ocean currents.

Great plan
>>
>>32675307
we're immortal and get weaker the less we eat. doesn't mean if we are weak when we land we can g to the nearest orphanage and have a fine dinner afterwards, i'm sure the children won't put up much of a fight (though with the way we've been playing we might need to hide in their closets for a few days before we eat them)
>>
>>32675307
Then how do we leave the ship, because its fucked
>>
You tear up some cloth and wrap it about your face, you notice some of the prisoners have already begun doing it due to the fear of contracting the disease.

**You can now move about the lower decks with impunity**

You move among the prisoners and listen to their conversations but are careful not to draw too much attention to yourself.

There are a few prisoners still injured and bleeding from the fight with the crew, you take advantage of this, feeding from the dying without leaving any conspicuous bite marks.

You pass another few days & nights like this, glutted on the blood of the condemned, you've never fed so well before.

The prisoners are restless, their food is dwindling and the rats are seemingly more abundant down here. Becoming bolder each day they have begun to bite men as they sleep and roam the corridoors in packs.

There seems to be a notion to try and storm the upper decks, make for the lifeboats and fresh air or at least capture some supplies.

What do you do?
>>
>>32675405
>>32675355

>Not rocking up to some random port in a spooky ghost ship.

>>
>>32675583

>>
>>32675583
Can we see any land?
>>
>>32675638
>>32675583
Go along with the mutiny.
>>
>>32675663

No, but the view is very limited from the portholes in the lower deck.
>>
>>32675583
Rally the prisoners and tell them it's do or die time, storm the upper decks with them. Then hop on a lifeboat
>>
>>32675583
Follow the revolt feed on the wounded, don't let the life boats go. We should gorge ourself before we leave
>>
You encourage the prisoners to storm the upper decks, reminding them that it is there only hope & the crew will show them no clemency. You encourage them to do it at night so as to catch them unawares.

The men gather what weapons they have and with you at their side make for the upper decks.
There are no sentries & the makeshift barricades erected by the crew are quickly broken through without any alarm being raised.

When you reach the weather deck it becomes clear why there was no resistance on your way here. The lifeboats are gone, but not many of the crew can have made use of them. The area is littered with corpses. Three hang in nooses from the mast, many others lie in improvised cots, fallen victim to disease. A few more seem to have been slain by violence and lie where they fell.

The air is thick with flies and rats scurry everywhere, gnawing on the dead. Two of the prisoners at your side begin vomiting over the rails. One man begins ranting and raving about the ship being cursed, roaring that the devil will rise out of the sea to claim the souls of all aboard and how everyone is surely doomed.

Amidst all of this you notice that a strong northwest wind has picked up and the ship is moving slowly, but steadily under it's influence.

You head to the helm to try and make the most of this weather by aligning the ship with it. A dead man in an officer's uniform lies slumped beneath the wheel with a sword in one hand and a page torn from a book in the other. It looks as though he has stabbed himself in the heart.

What do you do?
>>
>>32676155
Encourage the prisoners to take heart, promise them freedom.
>>
>>32676155
Shout to the prisoners that we have to use the wind or die, so they should work the ship.
>>
>>32676155

>>
>>32676155

Examine the torn page in the dead officers hand, what's written on it?
>>
>>32676155
See what the page is, collect weapons and other valuables and try and get the other men sane and not kill themselves, we can't have dinner going bad before we get to eat it. Begin the life of a sailor
>>
>>32676155
>Take the page and read it. Align the ship with the wind. Then take the sword then clean it off on the officer's uniform and put it in it's scabbard as it is now are's. Also, take the officer hat.
>>
>>32676155
Is there anything we can create a sail with?
>>
>>32676270
>>32676271
>>32676273

You take the officer's coat, which though bloodstained is of fine make and fits you well. You pick up the sword, you havn't held one in a long time and it stirs uncomfortable memories of what you've lost. It's not of much use now, but may be later, you slide it into your belt for safe keeping.

From the header, the page was torn from a book entitled 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner' it reads thus:

"Her lips were red, her looks were free,
Her locks were yellow as gold:
Her skin was as white as leprosy,
The nightmare Life-In-Death was she,
Who thicks men's blood with cold."

What do you do?
>>
>>32676434
Tell the prisoners to stand firm, for the wind guides us.

As for the page, not sure. It certainly reminds me of Kassa, though.
>>
>>32676434
Rally the crew, set sail, make note to search for the rest of the book later, search for Kassa, and use are powers to search for others of are kinda that my tell us of this "Mother".
>>
>>32676434
>>32676512

It's an extract from a real poem. But yeah clearly Kassa, she's blonde, pale and undead. She was also pretty damned scary when we saw her last. Furthermore she stabbed herself in the heart iirc, just like the officer here.

Too spooky for me
>>
>>32676423

There's various sheets, hammocks, bits of clothing. It also seems like the crew were in the process of patching a sail together when whatever happened to them happened. It flaps from the mast, only partially tied.
>>
Follow the wind, tell the men you know the way to safety, gradually feed on them. I want a ghoat ship as a gift for our beloved
>>
>>32676598
>>32676512
>>32676263

You rally the prisoners as best you can, the hole in your lung makes it difficult to shout orders. But you make do.

The makeshift sail is haphazardly tied to the mast, it catches the wind and you steer the ship to match it. You are now moving at quite a pace and the morale amongst the prisoners has improved even as they try and drive off the rats and clear the bodies from the weather deck.

As the night comes to an end you see a dark shape on the horizon that may be land before you slip beaneath the deck to sleep for the day.

You awake to a tearing, splintering sound and a powerful shudder.

You clamber to the weather deck to find that the ship has run aground on a rocky coast. Of the prisoners there is no sign.

There is something about the shape of the cliffs and the hills beyond, how they are framed by the constellations, some of which you recognize. Theres a familiarity to this place...

What do you do?
>>
>>32676952
>Get off of the ship and walk into the familiar.
>>
>>32676952
Get off the boat, and hunt some prisoners.
>>
>>32676952
We see what happened to the prisoners, then exit the ship and explore a bit.
>>
You wade ashore and scale the rocky cliffs. From your vantage point you cannot see any trace of the prisoners nearby. As you look around for any sign of their passing, that same sense of familiarity strikes you again.

You head inland at good pace, the sense you have been here before grows stronger the further you go.

After a few hours, you crest the gentle slope of a small hill and gaze into the distance. There are distant lights coming from isolated cottages perhaps 5 miles away, but that is not what captures your attention.

The mountains on the horizon, you remember looking at them almost every day for years, you remember your fathers voice, telling you their names.

You drop to your knees and sink your hands into the soil. You can feel that the plates of the earth have shifted, even the hills have moved and the tilled fields and dark forests are long gone. You look up at the stars and recall lying on the roof of a barn close to this spot with a blonde girl pointing at the same stars and calling out their names. A thousand other memories come unbidden of childhood, family and friends.

There are no ruins to mark where it stood, but there was once a village here. Your village.

You've come home

For a few moments you cannot bear to get up and perceive your surroundings. Time has erased every trace of your people & your life. There is nothing left here of your childhood home.

You cannot abide that.

You run back to a large stone you passed earlier and drag it up the hill and plant it firmly in the ground so it stands at the height of a man.

You draw your sword and begin chiselling as many of the names of your people that you can remember, written in a language no living person can read. Foremost is your family, they have been absent from your thoughts. You cannot bear to imagine what they would think of what you have become but all the same you miss them. You pause for a moment before adding two final names.

Your own & Kassa's.

There is nothing left of your world and you are alone, everything and everyone you knew is less than dust on the wind. You kneel motionless before the monument you have erected, wishing the ground would just swallow you up.

In your despair you almost fail to notice the buzzing in your head. A vampire is nearby & drawing closer. From the strength of the signal it is at least as strong as Octavia.

What do you do?

The sun shall rise soon. We rest in the soil for the day, then next night head to the Forest and commune with the Tree. It will be happy that it's Servant is awake again, and perhaps can help us find Kassa.

Wait for the other vampire to appear.

Wait for it to arrive.

>>32677903

Fuck the tree, it's ruined everything & stolen the life we were supposed to lead with our waifu.
>>
>>32678034
The tree didn't stab us with a spear anon. It just brought us back a vampire after it Offered to bring us back.

You wait, sitting with your back to the stone you cannot muster the will to stand in this place.

Eventually a man comes into view. He raises a hand in greeting.

"Hail brother" His voice has strong, friendly note to it.

As he comes closer, you think you recognize him for a moment, before realizing that this man looks almost exactly like you. The complexion, the hair, the build and the structure of the face are all extremely similar to your own.

You could be twins, although not identical ones.

He walks up to you and looks down, making eye contact or as close to eye contact as beings without eyes can get.

"Strange, I know all of Mother's children and have never seen you before. But your face and the ages on your soul are the marks of a first-born son."

He holds out his hand "I am Arsaces"

What do you do?

Ask him about the tree
>>
>>32678407
Greet him and ask where you are.
>>
>>32678407
Introduce ourselves and say we grew up here a very long time ago.
>>
>>32678407

Grip the hand he offers in a firm, yet friendly way.

Employ same slept too long/amnesia story as before as needed.

Maybe ask what brings him out here.

>>32678507
120000 years happened to this place, nothing man made is going to last that long.

It looks like the theory in the last thread about Kassa's 'sons' is probably correct, or OP took a shine to it.
>>
>>32678407
Ask the fellow who he is and where you are.
>>
>>32678642
>>32678599

These two, plus pass ourselves off as some forgotten sibling. Looking as we do and presumably giving off the psychic-signal that we do we shouldnt be giving elder vampires reasons to come to certain conclusions.
>>
Calling it here folks, getting tired.

Your responses to the last update have been noted and will be incorporated into the opening of the next thread. Which will be between 15-18 hours from now.

Any comments/feedback/questions are welcome & I would appreciate it if someone archives.

Thanks for playing!

And, try to wheedle out his story. Why dies he look like kin?
>>
>>32678816
Thanks for the fun, OP. Been a great ride so far. Especially liked the setting at the beginning, but how you've radically taken it in an unexpected direction is great too.

Good night boss.

Night OP.
