Pumping power levels up to 392% should let things get damn crazy, and it seems like it would work. Jager seems to have crazy weapons but not a lot of juice. Risa has fucking tons of juice comparatively.

You launch the ball over the net in a perfect arch, and into a perfectly empty spot on their side of the court. Kicking off of the sand Marcus launches herself after the ball. She gets under it and daintily knocks it back up into the air. Jager rushes over to it, but before it goes over the net Ryoko is waiting for it.

She jumps into the air and spikes the ball through Jager’s arms and into the ground behind her. You rush over to try and save it and dive into the sand, but just barely manage to miss it. Caede blows her little whistle and Asmodeus tosses the ball over to the other team with a smile.

Jager helps you to your feet and you wiggle your toes in the warm sand while you think. Playing fair will only get you so far, it seems. Hey! Try to distract Ryoko by being all seducy, that might be a good plan. Or, ooh! Get Jager to give a parent glare at the plant which will make her less likely to do stuff. Or maybe have azzy try and get someone to hit on Caede to distract Fuego! Really, lots of potential plans here.

However Ryoko dashes over to where it will land, her muscles flexing as she propels herself across the warm sand and receives the ball. She launches it high over the net right into the domain of the fallen angel of lust.

“Got it, got it.” Asmodeus says, her voice like liquid honey, put to boil and poured over your fun parts while listening to the most beautiful person ever tell you how you are the best he has ever had.

She knocks it up, but her positioning seems to have been off as it goes spinning right where the Plant has been waiting with a small smile on her face. You dash to the open spot on the court, as Heinrich knocks the ball over the net. You are so busy chasing it you don’t even notice Jager is after the same ball until you barrel into each other.

You fall in a mess of tangled legs and arms as the ball lands just behind the pair of you and Caede blows her whistle and raises her arm signaling a point. You press your cheek against Jager’s abs and tap your finger against them. They are beautiful.

You blink and your plant has moved and returns the ball easily. It goes over the net and you try to return it, but time freezes. As your hand connects with the ball you see several runes form, spinning like a slot machine. It settles on one and then begins spinning at insane speeds. It goes flying off to the side, in almost a horizontal line, out of bounds.

You think Jager’s smile lost when Azzy jumps out and smacks the ball back into play. It goes soaring over the net just as Fuego jumps, his body almost like the glowing dawn of time itself. He thrusts his pelvis at the ball and sends it rocketing back towards Jager. She bends and bounces the ball off her forearms and sends it up but falling back from the force of it.

You charge the ball and launch it over the net right into Ryoko. She spikes it back, but you use your dream walker to get under it and send it back over. It lands and Ryoko grumbles. “Hey! You used powers, no fair!”

“Really? I see no rule in the official beach notebook which says I can’t.” You point out crossing your arms.

Ryoko glares at you and then gets a small smile. “Okay sensei, if that is how you want to play it.” She says as Thomas hands her a mushroom.

You decide to go swimming, after all you came all the way here and yet you have not swum at all. Swam? Swimmed? You know damn well what I bloody well mean. You put your hands on your hips, nod once, then charge the ocean. You get hit by the tide and laugh as you go tumbling to and fro, but then finally you make it out to the ocean itself.

You poke your head up out of the water while you dog paddle around, the water coming to just under your nose. You swim in a small circle for a while, generally enjoying the refreshing feeling of being in the water.

You see some people playing happily in the water and go down under. You use your illusion powers to create a shiver of sharks and send them out. You dog paddle underwater and go with the sharks. You see the people panicking as you approach and see a boy hurry his lass along ahead of him. You tear off his shorts and he runs to the beach with his boy parts flopping about. You giggle as you continue chasing people down, making the sharks have large smiles, and stealing the swimsuits of those you pass.

You summon your tails and lash out against the crab, sending blow after blow his way. His thick armor deflects you blows and he slams a massive claw into your head. You hit the ground and kick up a wave of silt. You swear as you spin to get your feet back under you and you send a spear of tail the crabs way. It connects and you smile, but then panic as the massive claw clamps down on your tail and slams you into the ocean floor on the other side of him.

You shift your tail out of his reach and throw out a bala, but perhaps because of the magical cold, or the insane go juice or just because reality hates you it slides off of the beast. It charges you, scuttling along the ground quickly and you are forced to sonido around his attack. You fire a cero, but the beast dodges far faster than a giant crab should be able to. It stomps on you, pinning you down, and then wraps its massive claw around you. It starts squeezing, and you hear your bones pop and crack. You slam your foot into its underside a few times trying to get loose, but it just squeezes tighter. You try shifting larger, but the bonds just get tighter.

You start seeing stars when you fire a cero at the beast’s underbelly from your leg, sending him flying back and letting you go. Before it can get back up you are already sonidoing into him, sending him further away and into a deep trench. You look down the gash in the ocean floor and see the crab shaking its claw at you, likely swearing vengeance in his twisted crab language.

You maul yourself up to the beach, finding jager waiting for you on the shore. You fall to your hands and knees at her feet and cough up sea water, then taking some merciful gulps of air. “You about ready?” Jager asks evidently not going to comment on it. Sin-Fin is standing there with several medals and trophies while Kouta is looking at his hand happily

You need to go see your Short-Fin, you decide. You walk into the shrine and climb to Sin-Fin’s room, avoiding the stairs at all costs. You enter her room and see her just sitting on her bed, the trophies and medals she got on her lap and around her neck. She looks up as you enter and nods once. “Hello.” She offers.

“Hello there my shortest of all known fins, how did you like the beach then?” You ask.

She looks to your left and just stares as if looking at something you can not see. She finally looks back at you and replies. “It was… salty and wet. There was this… bird which took my… noodles. I did not like… that bird.” She answers.

You nod and sit down next to her on the bed, stroking your shin thoughtfully. “I see. Birds can be jerks like that sometimes. So how did you get all the shiny things?’ You ask.

She looks at the medals and trophies and nods. “The bird ate my noodles. There was a contest where I could get all the… noodles I wanted. So I ate a lot and… then they gave me a trophy.” She explains.

She got in an eating contest. “Then Shiba said I shou… ld work off the calories and she knew a good… way for me to. She took me behind the shop and there was this.” She pauses as she narrows her eyes, trying to think of the words. “Plastic glass with arrows. And when the arrows were in the other arrows you stepped on the… arrows by your feet.” Wait, that shouldn’t exist yet should it? “Then I did that and… got more numbers then the other… people. They gave me one.” She gestures at a medal.

“Okay, then what happened?” You ask tapping your finger against your leg.

You sonido into the town and perch on your clock tower, the one which holds all those nice memories. You sniff the air and find Ryoko’s trail, then sonido towards it. You look at the antique shop and note that all the lights are out. Rather than break in like some common thug, plus the whole stair issue, you climb along the building. You go over to Ryoko’s room and tap on the glass, your nail making a sharp ticking sound.

You wait for a few moments and then tap again, and then again. Always four taps, like the heartbeat of- a light turns on in the room, from a lamp or something. You see a form shift behind the curtain, and then see Ryoko peek out at you. You wave and hear her undo the latch on the window.

You decide to go to sleep. You sonido back to your shrine and go into your room. You clear off the mountain of things you put on your bed when you are not using it and then let your tails expand out behind you. You curl them around you, then wraps your legs around one like it was a body pillow, and feel the warm embrace of sleep take you.

“-No, seriously, I just don’t get it. One minute it is there and the next it is, what is this a chart comparing narwhals to jigsaws?” You hear your fancy Asmodeus say. Hey, wait a tic that sounds familiar.

You open your eyes and find yourself in a club. Men and women in tight bondage line the walls and rest on the floor as furniture. You see streams of blood and you can only conclude that the various harnesses are all lined with spikes or barbs. You Feel the music rather than hear it, the heavy thumps and pulses of techno, or rock, or whatever is cool to play in clubs these days. You see Asmodeus sitting on a muscular man, his screams muffled by some sort of soiled cloth. Next to her are several large stacks of notebooks which- hey those are mine! “So the purple one cloned herself just to have a go at this other slag?” Asmodeus asks. “And now the book is filled of drawings of historic sites of England, but with mustaches drawn on them. Oh, hello Risa.” Asmodeus says gesturing for you to sit.

You take a seat on a kneeling person and prop your feet up on her table. “Hello there Azzy, didn’t know you could enter dreams. What you got there?” You ask.

The feeling eases and you realize that was just her way of being affectionate maybe. Oh, and she messed up my entertainment system! You know how hard it was to wire that into her burned fatebreakers to get Netflix? Fucking slag. Kill her now!

“But that is not the only reason. I also thought you might want to know that the angels are planning something. I think they became aware of the one called Mendel and her attempts at taking and using gods. They are planning an offensive at the same time as Mendel’s group to try and wipe them out at the site of another god, or at least something similar to a god. Would you be interested in going there yourself?” She asks flipping through the pages of my hard word and flinching slightly at one of them. Oh yeah, that story. Ha.
