Rolled 38

Last time among our not so merry band of outcasts we heeded the call to action to deal with the dark pact zombies. That we succeeded at but sadly when we took action against the zombie horde we lost a great number of our officers and worst yet the horde marching forth has our own base right in its path.

Meanwhile our lowly outcasts have evolved into Looters a type of class that is especially good at the obvious at the cost of everything else. On the plus side though more loots downside you ain't so good at. The first step on the path of ravagers. Sadly its not an easy path to walk by any means.

The horde was attacked by neighborhood forces but they were utterly crushed and city forces will soon descend upon it. Whether that will be in time to save our sorry asses is unknown. Not to mention the lab is STILL a problem thus we don't exactly have a way to gtfo. Well at least you don't I got it covered.

No clue other than it would tick most of our people off. Ghouls just need more food, Robots don't care and I'm probably missing something.
>>
>>32400721
I don't know, we keep talking about it and agreeing on it, but it never seems to get implemented because we're either fighitng, raiding, or surviving.

Wasn't it "earn your freedom through Labor/Breeding and then earn your place as outcasts through military service" I think that's a fair deal many wouldn't be too displeased about.
>>
>>32400793
Why not. . .try and implement it now?
>>
>>32400990

I'm with this guy.
>>
>>32401016

Particularly, if they want to fight against the oncoming zombie horde.
>>
Rolled 63

Basic 1
Implement the "Indentured Freedom Plan"
Worker slaves who have served a number of years are given their freedom, and if they wish to stay and become outcasts they may serve in the military.
Alternatively, they can skip the years of servitude and join the military directly to earn their freedom faster.

Pleasure slaves are required to fill a quota of either breeding at least 2 females or 3 males into the world, either themselves or helping other outcasts have children.
If they wish to stay among us after being given their freedom, they will be allowed to stay at the price of 1 more child.

Meanwhile, military forces should prepare whatever defenses we might be capable of to slow down the zombies in time for the City forces to arrive.
>>
Rolled 96

>>32401198
Well, I suppose it's a start. Vote.
>>
Rolled 8

>>32401198

>>

>>
>>32401198
If I remember right we are attackers not defenders. We are looters now we lost some things and gain looting power.
>>
>>32401477
Oh, well.
>>32401198
Change that to "Have Chief Mulka and whoever we can trust as competent when it comes to raiding prepare an attack plan to slow down the zombies by picking them into small groups off or diving them, using speed and quick attacks and retreats"
>>
Rolled 12

>>32401477
But if I remember right we explored the area and found choke points. We just need to block building access.

>Trill and Co are now off scouting. They say the zombie horde will be upon us soon if nothing is done and the nearby terrain naturally forces them into a chokepoint. So long as they don't go through buildings anyway.

Yup, never mind then. So lets blow up some buildings and lock it down. >>32401198 Then Fire at what comes out.
>>
Rolled 75

>>32401198
...plan implemented. We will have to see how they will react. The mutants for one seem iffy and the ghouls downright unhappy. The others seem to be rather uncertain for how that will end up working out. Some have stated on how slaves being re purposed will be...less effective with considering their specialty.

Looters are even more obsessed with loot then your average bandits while this making them much better at looting they're other skills will suffer for it. Noted to being much weaker in your average bandit forces but they are good at picking stuff others would of missed.

the looter tree is NOT an easy one to walk many dream of becoming the legendary ravagers unaware of how utterly difficult it is. Thus one will rarely find them in force usually they'll either join up with another band or move in small groups stripping areas and battlefields of whatever they possess.

Zombie wise its the typical general advice. It does however offer further advice depending on the type of zombie and even has some info on zeds.

>>32402300

It's because we are the bad guys. We make people have bad days, We just get hungry.
>>
Rolled 80

>>32402487
All zombies can infect rather its a question of how their infection works. Some are very rapid others can take entire weeks even. Some make you so sick you seemingly 'die' before coming back. and so on. When you get down to it unlike ghouls zombies MUST infect in order to spread. Only exception to this are infected cloning facilities and labs. Supposedly a few strains have developed other means of reproduction.

Courting heroes

Throwing loot or resources and giving them time off to work on their pet projects tends to do wonders. That is however if you know who they are. If you are trying to find or recruit them its a different beast entirely.
>>
Rolled 4

>>32403133
Great. What does it say about the zeds types?

Any more tips for finding or recruitment?

Speaking of recruiting looks like Hero Reveal won.
>>
Rolled 34

>>32403229
Zed types are da fuckers who use and potentially even live among zombies. For whatever reason they may or not be infected and somehow have 'tamed' the zombies. At least work with them successfully in some capacity. Very dangerous as they can use zombies as a sorta buffer and meat shield.

To find heroes you need to ask around, pay attention to hints, or do a walk around. There are other ways but it typically depends on the hero in question.

Recruiting heroes meanwhile means somehow enticing them to join you. Luckily they tend to be bit more obvious but also seemingly much rarer. heroes who are available for recruitment tend not to be attached to a faction if they are it means you have to either steal them away or take their group with them as well.

All right. Now that we have a looter. We can loot everything.

With the group we have. Can we close off the buildings to make a really good choke point? Then we loot everything with Alisha's help. Making zombies in a box. (I kind of want to see if we can get to the point of looting. Where can get the enemy's ammo before they can use it.)

>>
>>32403923

>>
>>32403907

I dunno, it might be better spent fortifying or bringing defenses back online. The Ghouls could probably get our defenses back online (and in Ghoulish variant) so as to take advantage of our massive power supply.

>>
>>32404012
We need to find a way to keep the Ghouls happy with less human meat though.

Maybe find a way to spice up and make Zombie meat taste better, like finding freshly infected zombies and putting their meat in the refreshing machine or something.

Alternatively we crack through the labs and get to the Ghoul caravans
>>
Rolled 81

>>32404012
Uh no it didn't you really shot yourselves in the foot going looter. Your outcast standing is in deep jeopardy. No longer being seen as outcasts means you lose the benefits and looters for obvious reasons make tempting targets.

>>32404050
After the zombies I'm down for it.
>>
>>32404010
I dunno, I'd rather be trying to avoid a dumb zombie fucker trying to eat my face than a slightly more intelligent feral ghoul using his brain to try and eat my face.

Hrmm, Ghouls and Zombies are natural enemies. And we haven't yet found a use for these ferals and they're hyped on radiation and hungry. I wonder if it'd be possible to loose them on the Zombies to thin their numbers a little.
>>
>>32404114
So question, if a zombie bites a Ghoul do they become infected or does the radation kill it?
>>
>>32404146
I forget. We know Ghouls can convert zombies into more Ghouls through radiation exposure, but we haven't seen Ghouls become Zombies.

Maybe the Ghouls could further "modify" our reactors to pump high amounts of radiation at the battlefield and convert zombies and strengthing the ferals if we send them to fight. Giving them resources would also placate them for freeing slaves.
>>
>>32404061
Questions Genie, mostly to Chief Gul.
"How Valuable are our Ferals and are they more valuable then hyping them with radiation and sending them against Zombies?"
"If we gave you resources to modify the Reactors, could you make them even stronger and possibly convert zombies into Ghouls?"
>>
>>32404217
I'm kind of down for that. If the ghouls can do it and none of the heroes or officers have a problem with it.
>>
>>32404217
So if we use radiation as a weapon we can convert these zed's to Ghoul's? I think we have a weapon here.
>>
Rolled 45

>>32404268
Into rad ghouls is what they are known as yes. Once upon a time would you believe they were once considered one of the rarest if no the most rare of ghoul types? Now they are among the most common if not the very most.

>>32404254
"Can already do the second part. As for how valuable...eh we don't really have all that many and it depends on just how feral they are."

>>32404146
Interestingly enough most if not all ghouls are immune to zombie plagues.
>>
Rolled 76

>>32404360
Basic 1
Have Chief Gul and the Ghouls and anyone else with knowledge of technology convert our reactors to overcharge and releaes HUGE doses of radiation, perhaps as a bomb we can throw at the zombies or better yet as a directed radiation-ray beam thingy.

The plan is, when the zombies come here, we throw as much radiation at them as we can to try and Ghoulify them and if that don't work we unleash the ferals where the radiation will hyper boost them and weaken the zombies.
>>
>>32404360
Question can they keep that many in line or even control that many zombie-ghouls?
>>
>>32404563
We might not have to worry. Likely the sheer mass of the zombies will annihilate the ghouls, or if the gods favor us the ghouls will be strong and numerous enough eat all the zombies horde or delay long enough for city forces to arrive.
>>
>>32404605
That's what I'm hoping. But for all we know they could god mad and turn on us. Got to be safe. But other wise I'm fully down for the plan.
>>
Rolled 30

>>32404563
We do not have any wranglers among our number so it is questionable.

Nukes don't tend to be nearly so potent radioactively speaking anyway. So yeah we NUKED ourselves to high heaven best part is that wasn't even the worst for you see we did so as planned when the zombies were on us and yes they indeed went ghoulish...who then promptly driven to madness by the radiation/hunger descended on our forces while the zombies showed a great deal of unexpected self preservation by keeping their distance. That is until the special ones showed up...waited till they were soaked up most of the radiation before sweeping in taking care of the leftovers and those who tried to escape.
Meanwhile a certain ravager slinked away somehow surprisingly intact.

"damn they should of known better doing all that to a ghoulish reactor your just begging for it though I will admit the rest was a whole lotta bad luck. Guess its time to leave this city."

Meanwhile deep underground a certain rampant AI had the BRILLIANT idea of diverting the radiation downstairs...which in turn served to lure up and deal with all sorts of fun stuff while it locked itself away within its own private level waiting till things will cool down. also how to deal with the ass ton of ghouls and trapped zombies thanks to the fallout, buildings, and city forces who now had them pinned. At least here anyway. Though from the reports the city forces marched in mass within the sector to deal with the problem.First by cutting the zombies off from reinforcements, crushing hordes, and then a good ol fashion purge.

Just another typical day in Kokaido really.

You may vote for terrain(CHOOSE) and civ type also hero options will be given once choices are done(heroes give special bonuses as well as perspective). A hero be assigned to 1 action per a turn. Also feel free to come up with fluff/ideas including factions/civ types it may even be used and you may get a bonus out of it too boot just make to include it in a vote or plan.

>Survivors get a bonus to salvaging and survival actions.

>Tribals get bonuses to scouting and Guerrilla warfare.

>Think Tank start with a Tech specialty and gain a special unit because of this.

>Paramilitary are automatically trained at no charge.

>Government Civ may mimic another civs special or have another possibly even create their own with GM permission.

>Military civ is poor at Manufacture and Research early game but starts with a fortified base, lots of weaponry, and trained personnel.

>Mutants get access to 1 free mutation(make one up) plus a base mutation that ALL mutants have. Base mutation grants great toughness to survive in environments where ordinary humanity would find impossible. Enhanced strength easily allowing you to overpower a ordinary human and mild bonus to agility. Unfortunately they suffer from a severe rep penalty(humies fucking HATE you, bandits don't like you and other mutants are wary) and severe breeding issue.

>bandits have the special ability to auto upgrade their forces thanks to their life style(other factions have to spend resources AND a action to do so bandits just do resources) however they are unable to make their own supply(must raid or something) and suffer a reputation penalty. *WARNING* white knight choices will be vetoed you are EVIL, but that doesn't mean you can't be smart/clever about it *WARNING*.

A man who wanted to make the world a better place. To do that he had to get on top. But soon came to terms with that is easier said than done. But he wouldn't let him self be stopped. Quickly becoming skilled in dealing with others. He learned to adapt to different cultures and philosophy. In trying to be ready for anything he tried picking up on a little of every thing. But jack of all traits is no good for anyone, So he focus. Ended up working on strategy for business and battle. He may not be good at fighting. But he will make sure people have what they need to fight or grow.

>Reed aka Mr.Pepper
An odd man, needs little but all ways out for more. Bit of a loner but loyal (If he is your friend.). Some could easily say he would fit right in with bandits. He has no problem with taking someone out if they are in his way. But will hold his hand if he views it to be a good idea to wait. Use to working in enemy lines. He will befriend them, Find what they hold dear and crush it. His tactics are best used for single targets. But can work well with a raiding party.

>Officer Aladar:
One could call him a book worm. Not a group speaker, But great with battle field. Give him some artillery, as well as some mobile troops and he will give you a win. Good tactician and good with supplies. But not the best strategist. Good man at heart, But knows people will need to get their hands dirty to get things done.

It was a good day. Well that is what every one hoped. The city was one of the few still standing. But it was small and in these times who can say how long it can last. After a few bandit raids with mobile bases and a zombie attack. They didn't have much time left.

Anderson call his co workers up and got things started to get out. Just happened that Reed stole a few caravans in the confusion with his group. They started loading up all they could. Aladar was on the front lines keeping the cannons going. But they wouldn't last he held with the others as long as the could. Blew up the walls to by time and headed out to meet up with all that remained.

[Now to think about the new home base.]

Starting with 2000+ pop and ending up near the hundred thousands, 4 fucking actions not including special hero provided actions, fielding equipment and resources that any civ after it could have only dreamed of (we have never ever been at stage where we could mass produce Super Tanks like they could since, and look how much ass kickery ONE Super Tank did in this civ) their sub-factions alone rivals strength of actual factions which have ended some of our civs.

There's Mysterious Island, aka Bloodsnow Island. It's pretty big, not even they fully explored it. We could possibly be some sort of expedition or simply waking up from cryosleep.

There's also the outside of Mine Mountain, surrounded by a sea of pebbles and thin ice leading to caverns which could swallow ships whole.

There's the Parcathian Mountain Range, the Parcathian Ice Pass, the homeland of the Red Army (where the bear cavalry roam).

Wasteland definition in this setting is a bit different. Basically what I meant was that the terrain was incredibly hostile and the civ was situated in such a way as to take complete advantage of that. Which they did admittedly to a degree.

Wastelands in this setting is wherever the Fall held out the longest. Its effects so devastating that they are STILL apparent...and for the most part its the only place where you can still find stuff relating to it. Everywhere else was much better at recovering from the damage but the wastelands were not so lucky they were either hit the hardest or the longest.

You have wastelands in space, water, underground, surface, and even air.

All are noted for two things.

Number 1 the Fall either hit that area the hardest or longest

Number 2 Fall still slumbers there thanks to that.

Terrain wise Fall areas vary greatly the Memor turf was very nearly counted as such hostility wise, but alas it didn't harbor any fall relics...doesn't mean though it has something worse or could even compare.

Wastelands serve as a remembrance to the Fall a pale comparison to hint at what it was actually like.
>>
>>32407768
>Which they did admittedly to a degree.
Really? I don't remember Memor ever using the terrain to their advantage, they were always trying to chop down the forrest to make more biofuel or at best send hordes of ghouls at people. In our complete newbness and stupidity, did we really use the terrain better than all the following civs we tried so hard to get in touch with our surroundings?

The Memor are not known for their competence, and yet they are known for being incredulously powerful.

I guess with great power comes great irresponsibility.
>>
Rolled 76, 83, 67, 96, 17 = 339

>>32407768
Any questions? Considering how I do that every civ.

And remember a wasteland is a different place. What we would think of as wasteland would be more akin to a a desert wasteland but there are so many kinds.

From molten pits of steam erupting deep underwater under wrecks of ancient structures, to a giant battlefield of bundled up warped space ships, to a series of floating islands pulsating in energy, a great cavern of spectrum veins and colors overgrown in brilliant fungi, and even a sole object of broken dreams, warped weaponry, abolished armaments, and twisted earth over a vast empty plain with it being the sole exception.

Wastelands are without fail fucked up places hostile to all but mutants who being twisted and warped consider it home. Even the mighty bots can merely endure and with difficulty at that. While its POSSIBLE to visit but it must be brief and will require great assistance/power in order to risk it.
>>
Rolled 47, 63, 67, 76, 21 = 274

The terrain hampered their enemies a lot more then it did them.

Let me put it this way the terrain fucked with others is a pale comparison with how wastelands fucks with others to give you an idea.
>>
>>32407913
I suppose in that case there is a wasteland we've mentioned but haven't visited yet.

>"there's also this one place we heard of, something about some corporation or another trying to manipulate the weather and plant life ages ago.
It worked, too well in fact, but they seem to have been unable to shut it down before the fall.

You've got pockets of hot summer grasslands with sunny skies or torrents of rain, pockets of lush spring fields and red autumn forests, all interspersed between the some of the coldest blizzards on the planet or pristine winter wonderlands. The blizzards act like a curtain, cutting off view between the meteorological biomes and acting like the perfect hiding spot.

Most of these places are static and haven't changed since. Other rare areas are known to experience all kinds of weather in no particular order or rhyme. Summer for years on end, interrupted by a month of winter. Some have spring one day, fall tommorow, summer the day after, followed by winter all in the same week."
