You are the PRODUCER, a former soldier hired to manage a group of teenage girls on their rise to stardom, assuming they don't get killed in the process!

Today is a new day, like always, and like always, you've got quite a bit of work today to do as well. Unfortunately, you got stuck in a bit of traffic this morning, and you're unable to get to the office before your idols head off to practice. Sighing, you go over the list of tasks you're supposed to handle today, courtesy of Jenner.

Gentlemen, it appears that some of the idols of Clover Entertainment have...boyfriends... If we do not stop this immediately, irreparable damage will be inflicted upon the world order. Here to elaborate, Dr. Bartholomew Konengulus.

As you know, if one were to teach a child a skill from an early age for each generation, their collective knowledge increases exponentially. People like Mozart who learned from his father, who in turn learned from his father, and so on and so forth. Should Rochelle ever bring a child into the world, that child would quickly become the world's greatest gamer. This child will have enough skill that they shall be now designated as "The Last Starfighter", a person who is so skilled in games that they actually learn the skills portrayed in the game world; even though we had spent decades and countless taxpayer's dollars in order to make games that keep the masses distracted from our goals. "The Last Starfighter" would become the ultimate supersoldier, a genius who would would have accelerated learning capabilities and can analyze data in an instant.

This may seem to be a disaster, but we haven't even mentioned the upcoming catastrophe that Cole would bring upon the world.

Our best paid speculative scientists believe that should Cole ever achieve an orgasm, she will subconsciously create an Electro-Magnetic Pulse equivalent to five nuclear explosions. This is more than enough to cause the entirety of Delta City's power grid to be plunged into a Black Out, and fry every single unshielded electronic device. The resulting anarchy would be too much for our forces to handle!

Other things that we need to consider/do very soon:

-Contact the Producer of the Magical Girls to see what we can do to work together

-Begin hacking into Rose entertainment. We've basically drawn battlelines. Who gives a shit if they detect us at this point.

-Touch bases with the producer of Horizon Entertainment. We just need to establish some contact so that we have a line of communication if we want to work/do business together.

Listening to apparent urgency of Jenner's hastily written note, you quickly switch on the TV and flip to a news channel to see what's going on. You wince at the headline scrolling across the screen.

BREAKING NEWS: ANOTHER GIRL FOUND DEAD

You see two news anchors whose names you can't quite recall coolly reciting their practiced lines as the headline scrolls.

"If you're joining us just now, earlier today another young girl was found dead in District Two. Our reporter Lewis on the scene right now. Lewis, can you tell us what's going on?"

The screen then shifts to a tired looking, bespectacled man standing in front of a line of police tape and a veritable army of policemen and flashing lights. You raise an eyebrow. People died all the time in Delta City, though you suppose a murder in the relatively safe District Two would raise alarm bells. You continue to watch.

"Well, I've been talking to investigators here, and while they won't release the girls' identity until her family is notified, they have confirmed that there is a high chance she was the victim of a serial killing."

"Are you saying there's a serial killer in Delta City?" One of the anchors says, surprised.

"According to the police, yes. Their evidence says that this killing and the previous two all show a consistent pattern, suggesting that they were all perpetrated by the same killer." Reporter Lewis sighs. "In addition to extreme mutilation and death by knives, the victims all apparently work in the idol industry."

"Well, I suppose now's not a good time to be an idol then, huh?" The male anchor unsuccessfully wisecracks. He then coughs awkwardly and turns back to the camera. "All right, Lewis, thanks for the report. We'll check back later for updates. Now, for our next story, ROBOCOPS, miracles or menaces?"

You flip off the TV and turn to see Jenner behind you, arms crossed.

"Is that what you wanted to warn me about?" You asked.

"I thought you needed to see for yourself." Jenner says. "There's also going to be a meeting of sorts."

"Between who?"

"The idol companies. All of them. This is a matter that pertains to all of us, you know." Jenner shrugs. "There are rare times where we set aside our differences for a common goal. This is one of those times."

"All right, so when is going to take place?"

>>
>>32383869
"Of course. This is a pretty serious matter." You frown. "If somebody is going around killing idols, what's stopping our idols from begin a target?"

"All right, I schedule it for tonight, then." Jenner nods. "Another issue, it's about Rin."

Ah, yes. Rin commuted to the office every day, which meant she was always potentially vulnerable while in transit. That had to be something that had to be taken care of.

"You already warned her, I assume?" You ask.

"Yes, but she's adamant about staying home with her grandfather." Jenner sighs. "Kids, you know? She basically can't leave his side."

"She won't budge on the matter?"

"No. The way I see it, you're either going to have to force her to stay here, or you'll have to dedicated some of our combat idols to escorting her during her commute until this whole situation is resolved." Jenner says.

"All right, I think I'll talk to Rin about this." You say. "Maybe I can talk some sense into her, or at least work something out."

"Good idea." Jenner nods. "Let me know what happens."

Checking the girls' schedules, you see that at this time, Rin should be taking dancing lessons. You head over to the practice room and peek in through the door. You see Ushiyama overseeing the girls as they go through them motions for their newest choreography. You then catch his eye for a brief second, and you point to Rin. The dance instructor nods and heads over to Rin, taking her to the side and whispering to her. Rin nods and head to the door towards you.

"I suppose this is about my housing situation?" Rin asks as you lead her into the relative privacy of the outside hall.

"It is, actually." You sigh. "Look, Rin, I'd be happy to let you do what you want, but the circumstances just aren't working in our favor right now."

"It's just a small chance, right?" Rin frowns. "Besides, I don't want to leave Grandpa alone. I'm... I"m pretty much all he has left now."

"What about your parents?"

"They're working most of the time and don't really have the time or energy to take care of him." Rin sighs. "He gets lonely very easily."

You decide to go see your eight and final idol. You head down to the conference room as always. However, when you open the door, you don't see anybody. You wonder if you got the time wrong when there's a sudden flash of light. Your augmetic eyes automatically darken to protect themselves before automatically readjusting and there you see a short blonde girl standing in the room.

"BOOM, MOTHERFUCKER! The bombergirl extraordinaire is here!" The girl cackles.

Great, she was going to be one of THOSE explosives experts. You just shake your head and sigh.

"So you're... 'Sparky", I presume?" You ask when you glance at her file.

"That's right!" Sparky nods.

"And why do you want to be and idol?"

"Seems fun." Sparky shrugs. "Plus, you know, gotta put ally m pyrotechnic skills to use somehow."

"Uh huh." You narrow your eyes. "And where exactly did you learn these 'pyrotechnics'?"

"You'd be surprised what your local, drunk Scottish shop class teacher will show you if you buy him a couple bottles of whiskey every week." Sparky grins. "So, you know, I can make bombs just as well as I can dismantle them. Whichever you prefer."

"And I assume you also want to pick up data from our use!"

"Yes, please!" Cohen says happily.

"All right, I'll think about it." You say. "When are we going to receive it?"

"Shortly! We expect to be ready at the same time as your new office building!"

"Alright, thanks." You say before hanging up. Huh, that went better than expected.

Im advocating the dual purpose rocket launcher.

You suppose you should get ready for the producer meeting. After a quick call to Jenner, you meet her in your office.

"Alright, so what do you need to know?" Jenner asks.

"Well, first of all, who's attending?" You ask.

"Pretty much every entertainment company of note." Jenner says. "The ones we met, like Zenith and Rose and Horizon. There will also be many more, including the big name ones."

"And what are they?"

"Well, there's three 'MegaIdol corps." Jenner explains. "Sirius, Southern Cross, and Orion. They're the biggest and baddest, and they pretty much run the entire idol industry."

"Sounds like a lot of big names." You frown.

"That's right. Don't expect to do much while you're there, though. It's mainly just to see what the Big Three want to do about the situation." Jenner explains further.

"I see." You nod.

"There's also the matter of an escort." Jenner says. "It's strictly not necessary, as it would be bad form to use an industry meeting as a cover for an attack, but it does give you the opportunity to show off."

I don't know what should we do. If we bring any girl around, its a bit like flaunting ourselves in front of those who can screw us over.

But if we Bring Rochelle and Cole, we can make this a listen and learn experience for our team leader and deputy team leader.

I think going alone is best for business

>>
>>32388213

Makes getting into a harden emplacement a hell of lot easier and smoother. Also, having someone fully trained to handed with explosives is something that's useful overall.
>>
>>32388213

Remember the jailbreak where the idol almost shot down the pursuit planes?

We'll need that sort of capability. This is cyberpunk. Anti vehicle and anti aircraft combat is a given.
>>

K zwolf fills that need with the heavy package. Also that was more the producer fault for not bringing back up

"All right. I'll be coming along too, for support." Jenner nods.

"Really?"

"I am your secretary, after all." Jenner says flatly. "It's my job."

"Ah."

A few minutes later, Cole and Melissa come down to the armor to gear up. Melissa dutifully starts putting on her gear while Cole seems to look really grumpy.

"Something wrong, Cole?" You ask.

"I'm missing my favorite show." Cole grunts.

"Oh? What show?" You ask curiously

"The 'None of Your Damn Business' show." Cole shakes her head.

You suspect it was something very silly or girly, but you decide not to say anything. You're about to go to an important meeting, after all.

You all pile into the SUV, with Stig at the wheel, you in the front seat, and Jenner, Cole, and Melissa in the back.

"We're going all the way to District One for this, so the trip might take a while." Jenner says as Stig fires up the engine.

"Ah, don't worry." You say. You then bring up the shop list to browse while you wait.

Currently Julie can wear it without it hindering her since she is skilled in heavy armor. Giving Melissa heavy armor will slow her down.

Finally, your SUV pulls up to the meeting spot. It was a large, innocuous office building, like the dozens of others surrounding it. You see a long line of vehicles along the entryway as well, as various producers and their idol escorts exit.

"All right, the two of you remember, we're not here to fight. You're here to put on a strong face for our company. But under no circumstances do you start hostilities. Is that clear?" You say to Cole and Melissa.

Explosive weapons, concern explosive weaponry. There is no catchall heavy weapons skill. And I seriously doubt that one training session would solve all of this.

Otherwise Marisa would know how to handle machine guns, which doesn't fit her theme at all.

"Well, Hillman, here are two of my idols, Cole and Melissa." You say, motioning to your girls.

"Hello." Melissa says politely.

"Yo." Cole says nonchalantly.

"Ah, well, here are my two main idols, Kaleidoscope and Heartlancer." Hillman says, motioning to his own girls.

"Hey!" Heartlancer says happily.

"Hi..." Kaleidoscope mumbles. She doesn't seem to be the talkative type.

"Those aren't their actual names, are they?" You ask.

"Oh no, they're just stage names." Hillman grins. "Only used when they're on the job."

"I see." You nod. "I suppose you've heard of the recent killings?"

"Oh yes, terrible thing." Hillman's face screws up in a mix of concern and disgust. "Idols already have so much to worry about, and now we have a killer with no sense of ethics or morals running amok."

"Do you have any idea of who it might be?" You ask.

"Not really." Hillman shrugs. "Could be a disgruntled fan, or just some obsessed nut. If we knew, then we wouldn't have any trouble catching them now, would we?"

"You have a point, there."

"WILL ALL PRODUCERS PLEASE REPORT TO THE MEETING ROOM." You hear the intercom blare.

"Well, that's our cue!" Hillman gives you a quick nod before rushing off. You follow him to to the main meeting room and take a seat among all of the assembled producers. At the head of the room ,you could see three rather elderly men sitting in large chairs overlooking the room.

"They're the producers for the Big Three." Jenner whispers. "They basically run the entire industry."

"We will now call this meeting to order!" The Sirius Producer coughs. "The sole item on our agenda today is this idol killer rampaging throughout the city!"

"We of course cannot rely on the police to solve this problem in a timely manner." The Southern Cross Producer adds. "Which means that we have no choice but to take this matter into our own hands."

"We have decided to put a bounty on the head of this idol killer." The Orion Producer speaks up. "The entertainment company that brings back the idol killer, dead or alive, will be rewarded handsomely by our sponsors."

"But beware, one of the idols killed was a combat idol, so do not assume this idol killer does not possess combat ability." The Sirius Producer warns. "Whether you decide to pursue this bounty or not, this is what we have decided. This meeting is now adjourned!"

With that, the three producers' chairs slide back and out of sight. The meeting room suddenly explodes in conversation.

"Hm, a reward from the Big Three themselves? It's a tempting offer." Hillman muses. "Will you try and go after this killer?"

She's using M66 SMG. I'm not sure if that will work with her.

But Cole, Rochelle, and Sparky will (since we did pick up the AR).
>>
>>32389870
The question is can we split the reward in the first place or is it something that cannot be shared? Secondly, if we can share it, how do we divide it?
>>
>>32389882

Well, that'll depend on whether the Missile Launcher can do any anti-infantry work I guess.

I mean I doubt it, but we might as well find out first.
>>
>>32389882
We should have her train first to at least give her the firearms and coordination skill set our other idols have
>>
>>32389882

Oh wait, my bad then.

Was already hesitant on choosing her since she already has her shield to deal with.

>>32389885

>how to share

50/50 I guess. If we both work and fight together.
>>
>>32389814
>>32389824
If we do decide to go after the fucker, working together with other companies and splitting the reward and limelight is a good idea to improve rep and alliances. Plus it is safer and more likely to produce results faster.

So yeah.

>Why not?
>Wanna try this together?
>>
>>32389897
As much as I like 50/50, it may create problems if for example, our idols are the shocktroops sent in first while the other guys sneak in and deal the killing blow.
>>
>>32389814
>>32389863
This ask Cole and Mellissa if they can handle it. Boost their confidence a bit
>>
>>32389885
Difficult to say if it's monetary or something else. If it's money or territory, we might be able to talk it over, but we'll see what happens.
>>
>>32389814

Star formations, eh?. Two constellations and a star cluster. Very interesting choice of names.

>>32389824

This guy is right on the money.
>>
>>32389885
Depends on what the reward is really.

>>32389893
I have my doubts for it as well considering the real jalvin fires shaped charge HEAT. At least from last I heard of it.
>>
I get that you guys want to work together with magical girl company but can we at least find out what the reward is?

Also we don't even know if he wants to risk his idols in this bounty?

I'm not saying no, but just consider his side I guess
>>
>>32389936
I agree with finding out the reward first before making plans. But if it is something we can split with easy. We can offer and he's welcome to say no.
>>
>>32389814
"Why not?" You shrug. "Actually, you wanna try this together?"

"Interesting..." Hillman blinks. "It WOULD increase our chances on finding the killer."

"So that's a yes, then?"

"Why not. We'll give it a try." Hillman shakes your hand. "You understand, this means that we might have to run joint exercises or something like that."

"Yeah well we can hammer out the details later." You say. "And after we get settled into our new HQ. I don't anybody is going to find this killer anytime soon, anyways."

"All right, I'll keep it in mind." Hillman nods. "Until next time, Producer."

With that, Hillman and his escort make their exit. You're about to leave as well when you catch sight of DeRosa.

>Confront him about the attempt on Rin's life.

Does DeRosa know that we suspect them? If not, how about we "work together" for a bit. Pretend to still be looking for suspects.

>>

If I remember correctly, we only captured 2 idols. The rest died when the VTOL was shot down.
>>
>>32389966
THIS
>>
>>32389997
So it has MPWH then?

Considering the fact a HEAT missile isn't really that effective on targets in open areas and such.
>>
>>32389962
It wasn't really anything personal, I hope, it was more of a professional thing. I mean, it kinda was personal, but really we are in the mercenary business and that kinda shit he pulled off is normal everyday stuff in the life of a person who makes a living killing people and shit.

Keep it professional but don't just dismiss he fact that it happened. I mean, with the recent news and serial killer everyone is trying to work together, I assume, so it should lessen any further plans he has while this serial killer is about.

>Leave him alone
>Give him knowing look or nod, "I am watching you fucker, but we got bigger shit to deal with right now."
>>
>>32390010
We don't know if they died.we assumed they escaped

No they didnt die.

Their rescue target died. The VTOL was otherwise empty when found.

Unfortunately, you can't seem to find the producer for Horizon anywhere. However, as you search for him, you accidentally bump into DeRosa rather hard.

"Ah, Producer." DeRosa gives you a predatory smile. "How are things going for you lately?"

"Oh, nothing much. We're doing pretty well, actually." You shrug nonchalantly. "But man, those poor girls, you know? What kind of sick freak goes around killing innocent girls like that? Absolutely shameful."

You see the corners of DeRosa's mouth twitch at the remark, as if he's unsure of whether or not you're on to him or not. You continue to let him stew in the uncertainly.

"Anyways, I have business to take care of, being a producer and all. Maybe we'll see each other again someday."

"Yes.... maybe." DeRosa nods.

You then spin on our heel and walk away, Cole and Melissa in tow.

"That was a pretty ballsy move." Jenner sighs.

"What, teaming up with Zenith or baiting DeRosa like that?" You ask.

"Both."

"Yeah, well, sometimes it's just one of those days." You laugh.
