... The fucking what now? Look you piece of shit, I told you I had a hangover and to leave me alone.

For God's sake I left you a manual for this kind of situation for this exact reason.

WE LIVE TWO PLANETS AWAY FROM AN ORCISH WAR WORLD, AND WE'RE IN A JUMP DISTANCE FROM A DEATH PLANET, THEN SOME BACKWARD FEUDAL PLANET.

BY THE EMPEROR, WHAT PART OF "LEAVE ME THE FUCK BE DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND, PRIVATE FUCKFORBRAINS."

1. Tell him to fuck off and read the manual again, then proceed to go back to sleep, and let the things solve itself.
2. Make him strip down to his briefs and stay that way until the end of his next off-world combat assignment. Then issue a scout party to search.
3. BLAM the fucker for disturbing your anger sleep. Then issue a scout party to search
4. Just issue a scout party to search,

Alright, fine you incompetent nitwit. I'll solve the problem myself. Go and gather up a scout party, I'll be overseeing the command of the squad directly. Call my Pskyer aide to prepare.

I'll meet you at the site of the crash in 20 minutes. Have the area surrounded by guns. Bring assault weapons, not the usual flash lights.

If its an atmosphere drop that measly toy'll do fuck all and I'm not in the mood to lose another limb today.

judging from the last mishap with the plasma pistol, you decide that it's better to just bring a bolt pistol.

After finishing gear checks, you head out to the thicket of the jungle to the east of the fortress.

Upon reaching the site, you're greeted by your Psyker aide, Marcia. Who is still in training from the Adeptus Astra Telepathica Psyker you've met on the Feudal planet,

it seems as though she's completed the basic psyker disciplines, but is yet to advance into further levels.

A guardsman approaches you two and begin reporting what they've found so far. It seems to be a ball of debris, made up of scrap metal, chunks of stone and cement, with bits of wood here and there. Forming a garbage ball that's somehow survived the fall from space.

You tell Marcia to check for any signs of life, and she replies
"I sense something in there, its definitely alive. But I'm not too sure what it is, it seems intelligent though."

1. Leave it be, it's just garbage. Not worth your time, nor your men. Go back to base.
2. Investigate it further, take it apart yourself, with Marcia and your men and try to look for the lifeform
3. Just let Marcia locate it, by herself without the guardsmen helping her to try and locate and identify the lifeform.
>>

no we ain't, its nine rather short threads that are very easy to read through, we're not starting fresh because your lazy and can't deal with established characters, go derail something else
>>
>>32196654
You really should've put number 10 in the quest title so you don't trick anons thinking that this is a new quest. I wouldn't have wasted my time reading it then, for example. I only take part in quests that have just started since it's practically impossible to affect the direction quest takes after several episodes, when it has already has been established and has regular readers.

It's pointless to try to deal with established characters since no-one else will cooperate with new reader (me) in the thread. I don't want to be railroaded by the fandom, so this has been complete waste of my time.

As you search through and take apart the ball of metal and stone, Marcia shouts out behind you,
"Watch out!"
A flash of colour just barely misses your head, you having leaned back at the last moment. The sheer speed of the thing makes it seem like it was ejected out of something,

Quickly regaining composure from the surprise, you issue an order:

1. Tell your guardsmen to open fire, to kill whatever just popped out, it might be a genestealer
2. Tell Marcia to grip the creature, and bind it with pain using her powers to keep it at bay.
3. Attempt to grab him yourself, (Roll 1d20 for a dc check)

Putting the creature to eye level you quickly recognize a Grotling. It seems to have been tied up and beaten severely, and to an extent, tortured. But the cuts and bruises were mended, as if meaning for them to heal.

Noticing this, you decide to take a closer look, and upon further inspection there're scars and marks that seem to have been healed over, then cut again. As if repeating the harming and healing process in a malicious frenzy.

At this point, the Grotling is hysteric, frantically sobbing and squirming to get free. Seeming more concerned about the ball of debris than you or the guards.

You hear a deep throated cackle from the junk heap.
1. Kill the Grot and examine the debris again.
2. Tell Marcia to examine the Grotling while you investigate the Debris.
3. Examine the Grotling and send Marcia to find the source of that cackle.

Telling Marcia to try and get information out of the Grotling, you turn to investigate the noise. But even before you reach the debris, Marcia just plainly says:
"This thing's broken. His mind's nowhere to be found... Though there's fear. A lot of it, like it's been tortured for a long time,"

Nodding in simple acknowledgement, you turn and go to the source of the cackle. When the debris begin to shift-

And a Squat appears out of the hole that the Grotling was fleeing from. He cackles some more and stares at you. And as far as you know Squats have been lost to the warp storms since longer than you could remember.
"So yer the one in charge on this planet, aye?"

Questioning you in a gruff voice, the Squat grins almost maniacally. It was then you notice him fiddling with a scalpel in his hand, and judging from the blade size, and the lack of any other lifeform inside the debris, you discern it was him who had broken the grotling.

You reply with a nod. And the Squat seems to light up even more.

"Well, see. I've been lost in the warp currents with ol' Snaptooth there, and I've only had him as a source of entertainment through the years. That is, until I landed here. And even then that was possible because I managed to fortify the insides of that boulder there with bits and pieces. Grot craftsmanship is far from good, so its a wonder that those contraptions work at all. So my question is, Commissar. will you be willing to take this travel-weary Squat into your garrison? I'll work as the techie, of course. Like most others of my kind did when we were still allied. Oh, and feel free to kill Snappy there,I have no more need for him."

At this sudden proposal you consider your options.

1. Allow him to join, and kill the Grotling. (plus to Training, planetary defenses upgrade, machines and weapons, negative to troop moral, and draw more attention from the inquisitorial body.)

2. Reject him and try dispose of him. While keeping the Grotling (negative to Marcia moral and loyalty, gain animosity from what remains of the Squat race, gain fame among the greenskins. draw a little more attention from the inquisitorial body)

He will be able to check up on all of the failing systems and other faulty machinery that's been causing deaths in your garrison. He will now be able to make use of the minerals on the planet to begin constructing war machines, and recreational utilities, such as a brewery. and raise overall safety and happiness for your men, leading to higher moral in some cases..

Though it will take some time for them to get used to the squat, it will benefit the garrison overall.

He will be living in the garrison from this day forth, in the workshop next to yours and Marcia's area.
