"Oh yeah," you say, snapping your fingers. "Karel, did you ever get around to asking Emilio for those lessons?"

Upon hearing the word "lesson," Racquel perks right up.

"Lessons?" Racquel asks. "What kind of lessons? PRIVATE lessons?"
"I have no idea what I could possibly teach -you- aside from stupid stuff like proper etiquette and the like, and I know you have no interest in that," Emilio says, turning to Karel.
"Uh..." Karel mumbles, "...I was wondering if you could maybe teach me how to use magic?" she says with a weak smile.
"Me?" he points to himself. "Why in the would would you ask -me- to teach you, I mean-"
"You don't have to if you don't want," Karel stammers. "I just thought that it'd be useful if I finally got around to learning it, and I know that you know how, what with your father being a super magic king and all..." she says fidgeting.

It's kind of weird to see Karel be the nervous one for a change.

"Uh... sure, I guess," Emilio replies, a faint smile on his face. "It'd be nice for me to the the one to help you out for a change, and that'd give us something to do while we're stuck here."
"Really?" Karel gasps. "Th- thanks, I mean I didn't know how to even go about asking you since I didn't want to bug you too much, and-"
"Hey, it's no problem," he laughs. "We're friends, and friends help each other out," he says.
"C- CAN I WATCH!?" Racquel stammers.

"Cut it out," you say as you clamp your hand down on the little girl's head and give her hair a nice long rustle. This seems to serve its purpose in disconcerting her, and by the time you've finished her glasses are crooked.
"O... okay," Racquel mumbles, blushing slightly as she pulls out a comb with which to fix her hair.

You're not quite sure if that had the optimal effect, but you'll take what you can get.

As Emilio and Karel hammer out the specifics of their plans, you take that as your signal to move on to bug someone else.

Figuring that you might as well go and see what Marianne and Luciana are up to, you wave goodbye to Emilio and Karel and head over to where they're standing. But as you walk away, you hear Emilio talking...

"...wait, all that stuff you were saying," Emilio mumbles. "Oh god, you meant- ugh, you're like Elena's age, how is it possible for you to be as bad as Giancarlo is already!?"

As Emilio stares at the little girl in horror, Racquel giggles to her heart's content.

Until her giggling alerts a certain older sister of hers, who breaks off from her conversation with Nicolette and the others long enough to stroll over and smack her on the back on the head.

"Little pervert..." Sylvie mumbles as she drags the teary-eyed Racquel back with her.

"I see," Arnaud says, nodding. "Well, thank you for looking after them, as well as backing Gerhard up."
"And thank you for sending Gerhard in the first place," Takamaru replies, bowing to the old butler. "...where is he now, anyways?"
"Back in the library, I suppose," he laughs. "Though the King did tell him that he was welcome to eat with the rest of you, that boy never was one for crowds."
"Now that I know something of his background, his peculiarities actually make some sense," Marianne sighs.
"You're not still sore about being kept in the dark about that, are you?" Arnaud asks.
"It's partially because I was never informed, and partially because Melanie of all people was the only one of us to have that knowledge in the first place," she says, rolling her eyes.
"Well that's because she actually asked him directly," he laughs. "It's not my place to go around spilling everyone's secrets, you know..."
"Speaking of secrets," Luciana says, crossing her arms, "I bet you knew all about Reinhold's connection to Agnes Eschenwald, didn't you?"
