"Melt the bitch's face off!". you yell as Sytry throws a blade of solidified air at you. Varyn proves to be competent by side-stepping the attack and throwing his own spell. Sytry was apparently not used to his body as much as he thought as he clumsily tried to mirror Varyn's actions, only to get his face turned into dust.

While that will only hinder him but for a moment, it is still an opportunity that you do not miss. At your behest Varyn charges the daemonhost and chops one of his arms off. He quickly has to block as Sytry tries to kick his head off. Varyn gets pushed back a few metres because of the superior strength that Sytry's body possesses.

Seems he abandoned rebuilding his face comepletely as now there are only two glowing cyan lights in his eye sockets. Regretfully he opts to not monologue and sends more wind blades at Varyn. The necromencer proves to be a much more deadly combatant than you thought before, as he gets close enough again to chop the other arm.

This provokes Sytry who roars and creates a sudden exploson of air. "What's wrong 'honey'? Do you need a 'hand'? Hahaha!" you taunt him.

"It seems... That I should get a bit more serious" he says in an otherworldly voice that to everyone bvut you would sound like strong winds trying to out do each other in their racket.

He forgoes trying to regenerate his arms and instead replaces them with constructs that look like small tornadoes contained in the shape of arms. He whips one of them and it extends, annihilating everything in it's path. Varyn jumps to the side and the tornado gets one of the archers. Aww, you wanted that soul. Wait, no. Need to focus.

You have to admit that Varyn is quite good on his feet. You observe his focused expression as he dodges yet another whirlwind trying to crush him. You are truly lucky that Sytry has no skill in combat and that his vessel does not contain a lot of his power right now. Otherwise this would have proven to be a very short fight.

Varyn gets in Reach and tries to lob Sytrys head off. The daemon proves to be faster this time and dodges, not without receiving a deep cut across his torso. He roars again as the heat of your blade, even if it is little compared to before, hurts even him. He tries to hit Varyn point blank as one of his hands reforms. Varyn ducks and slices one of his legs off.

Sytry lands on his skeletal face and groans. He rolls to the side as the necromancer tries to finish him off. The blade plunges into the ground instead. The boy wastes no time and separates the other leg b turning Sytry's thigh into dust.

Varyn takes you out of the ground and slowly approaches Sytry. The daemon just stares at you intently and says, "The battle... May have been lost... But I shall.."

Sytry's body starts floating into the sky and Varyn lets go of you as he can't hold any more. Oh yeah... You do remeber that after your vessel was killed, after an epic battle of course, you explode into a giant burning inferno... That was probably important. Fuck.

You feel like the explosion of air will leave a smaller mark of devastation than you, but it will still be a lot of force. However... You feel like when you gutted him you latched on to an extra bit of Sytry's Essence. You could just use that to stay here and take the already big section of Essence you will get. Or you could take it and let destruction take it where it will, someone will find you anyway. The middle road is to use the Essence to invoke fate to take you to some other wielder. One that isn't a pasty and rather squishy if agile caster...
