Lying on the ground you feel a light breeze wash over and a soft glow fills your vision, blinking you sit up and look around. All around you is tall grass that shifts like a wave as the breeze moves over it while birds chirp off in the distance. Shaking your head you try to remember where you are, you think you were in a fight but you’re not sure. Standing up you brush dirt from your clothes and examine your surroundings in more detail. The field that you’re in stretches further than you can see with no breaks except a hill in the middle with a lone tree on it, sitting at the tree is a man dressed in all red humming softly. This place seems familiar but you can’t put your finger on it…

Suddenly a small child rushes by you chasing a butterfly. You call out to her but she doesn't respond.

Walking up the hill you can hear him humming louder and louder until you're at his feet.

Looking down at the man you ask "Who are you?"

The man continues to hum and stare off into the distance.

Waving your hand in front of his face you say "Hello, can you hear me?"

This again gets no response, you're about to ask the man something else when suddenly you hear the small child call out. Turning your attention to her she runs up the hill shouting and carrying a bouquet of flowers "Master, Master, look what I found"

The man stops humming and looks up "Oh, those look beautiful Mildred, come sit down"

As the small girl sits down she yawns and puts her head against the man "I wish this would last forever master"

Smiling the man says "Me too"

After a little while the small girl is fast asleep, as the man strokes her hair he says "The world really is cruel to give one so young such a fate"

Gently lifting the girl he stands up and puts her back down "This is as much as I can do for you, hopefully you can change your fate and live a full life"

Turning around he begins the walk away, suddenly stopping he says "If you can hear me though, do what you want with your life, don't let other decide for you"

As he continues walking you reach out and a tear forms in your eye, for some reason this scene shakes you at your core. Suddenly the area melts away to black and you're left floating in darkness.

Off in the distance you see a fire but in the opposite direction you can hear laughing.

Floating there a thought crosses your mind, maybe I should head to the laughing. I wonder what they're doing to have so much fun? As you think of this you feel your feet touch the ground and you stand. Well that's one problem down.

Turning you start to walk into the darkness, soon the laughing fills your ears and it feels as if you're in the very centre of it. Standing there you can't help but smile and start laughing on your own.

Suddenly the laughing stops and your left in silence. Looking around you ask "What's the matter?"

From in the distance you hear a disembodied voice say "Is this the one?"

Another voice answers "I believe so"

A few more voices add to the discussion and soon a full out debate breaks out. Looking around confused you ask "What are you talking about?"

The voice gives you a chuckle "Why you're going to our vengeance"

From all around you feel the darkness condensing and pushing on you. It sucks out your breath and you grab at your throat "AVENGE US CHILD, KILL, KILL, BURN THIS WORLD"

Looking around you hope for a way out but the darkness pushes on you, weakly you get out "Someone..... help"

Suddenly you see a hand breaks out of the darkness, reaching over to it you grab a hold of it and it begins to pull you along. Behind, you hear the voices yell "GIVE HER BACK, SHE OURS"

As you fly through the air you begin to breath again and light fills your eyes. Blink you hear a familiar voice yell "MILLY"

Turning over you see Tam sitting next to you with a wet face.

Sitting up Randolf asks "How're you feel sweetie?"

Randolf answers "Jodie and few people went to check if they could find anything of use in the shops and Sasha's working out her frustration"

As he helps you to your feet you look around. The surrounding area looks like a battlefield, well it was one just a second ago.

"What happened while I was out?"

Scratching his head Randolf says "After that attack hit you all the people kinda vanished, I think the demon got caught in it as well so he lost his concentration or something"

Smiling you say "Good thing I was there or you guys would be toast"

Smiling back he says "Yeah that's true but I don't want anymore heroics okay"

As you stand there you hear some sniffling, looking down you see Tam wiping her face.

Tam sits there silently for a few seconds and then breaks into a sob. After a few minutes see calms down and just buries her face into your shoulder.

From over your shoulder you hear "Touching reunion we have here"

Looking up you see Balthasar standing over you and the rest of the group not too far behind.

Resting her sword on Leopold's neck Sasha raises it above her head but before she can bring it down Balthasar puts a hand on her shoulder.

Bending down Balthasar grabs Leopold by his collar and lifts him to his feet, licking his lips he says "You weren't lying about growing stronger"

Opening his mouth Balthasar's jaw unhinges to double it's size, clamping down with his fangs Leopold's head is crushed. Pulling back he immanently clamps down again, after minute there isn't a single clue left.

Looking at where he was pointing you see large steps leading to a pair huge doors decorated in gold and royal colours.

This would be impressive if in wasn't for the fact that the main hall is completely empty.

Groaning Randolf stands up "Awww, no one's here"

As the rest of the group shakes this off you all move into the palace. Walking next to Randolf you say "The A-team? What's that about?"

Nodding his head he says "Yep, that's us"

Mumbling a bit you say "I talking more about the pose...." but Randolf doesn't seem to hear it.

Looking around you see a large stair case leading up and two hallways on either side of it.

Walking through the hallway you see that it's decorated like any normal palace would be with paintings hanging from the walls and trophies on stands.

Your walk is uneventful until you start to hear footsteps, as they draw closer your group readies themselves. Waiting for a few seconds feels like hour as the thing draws closer, finally you see a small boy around Lilith's age walk into view.

As soon as he sees you he smiles "Cool! Who are you guys?"

As the kid starts to walk away you whisper to Randolf "I don't like the sounds of that"

Sticking close enough so that you can see him but far enough that you feel safe your group follows the kid.

As you walk through the hallway you feel eyes on you but looking around you see no one. After a little bit of walking you and the kid finally emerge into a great hall. The walls are draped in tapestries and along the floor is a long carpet that leads to a thrown. Sitting on the thrown is large black creature with huge horns and his eyes look like pits of fire. With a sad expression the boy walks up to the thrown and stands by the creature.

Gazing down at you the creature says "Who are you?"

Leaning closer he says "You know, I like your style, why don't you join me? We could raise this petty world to the ground and rebuild it in my- I mean our image"

Laughing he continues "You should have seen his face as he bagged for his sons life haha but that fool cheated and bound me when I was summoned"

Randolf looks at the demon in horror "You mean the event was caused because of the life of a kid?"

Nodding the demon says "Yes, Nero just couldn't live without his precious son but in the end it cost him everything"

Giving him a confused look you ask "If you were bound how did you cause the event"

Thinking for a moment the demon says "That was so long ago but I think a nice gentleman let me out. But what do you say to my offer"

Grabbing Balthasar and pulling him closer you say "Sorry but I already have one demon, I don't really need another"

Balthasar looks like he might wet himself and whispers "I hate you"

Dropping the kid the demon gives you a disappointed look "Very well, you shall be the first souls I eat"

Sitting up from his thrown the demon grabs a giant sword resting near him, unfurling his wing his sword and most of his body sets on fire.

As the demon roars and charges forwards you can hear more cries all around you as many smaller demons rush out.

Scanning the room Randolf says "Okay, we'll hold them off and leave the big guy to the more magical people"

As team nods you all rush off in different directions. While you're running Balthasar runs beside you, you can see that he turned back into his demon form.

Tilting his head towards the charging boss demon he says "You gonna eat that?"

Giving him a chuckle you say "Sure go ahead"

Smiling he brakes off from you and sprints straight at the boss demon, diving over a swing he grabs a hold of it's arm and bites down. Roaring in pain the demon fails his arm to dislodge Balthasar, taking this opportunity you fling a fireball into it's face. Momentary blinded it swings it's sword and crushes a pillar, sending debris flying.

Shaking his head the demon clears his vision, reaching over he grabs a hold of Balthasar and pulls him off "What do you're think scum"

Giving him a toothy grin Balthasar says "Can't blame a guy for trying"

Smiling the boss demon throws him into the ground with a sickening thud and lifts his leg.

Before he can step on him you yell "BALTHASAR" and send a lightning bolt into the demons leg, yelling in pain the demon falls over. Rushing over you grab Balthasar and drag him behind a pillar, as soon as you make it you feel a wave of heat hit the pillar.

Once it dies down you peak out to see scorch marks leading to the now pissed boss demon.

"COME OUT HERE AND I'LL MAKE YOUR DEATH PAINLESS"

Looking at your group you can see they're holding their own well enough. Sasha is swing the huge sword she picked up like it's nothing cleaving demons in half left right and centre. Deniece, Jodie, and Weston are back into a corner but Weston's light magic seems to be working wonderfully. Lastly, you can see Randolf fighting side by side with some skeletons while Lilith and Tam say behind him.

Diving out from behind you begin to fire out lightning bolts and fireballs but the boss demon simply blocks them with his sword, charging forwards he reaches out and grabs a hold of your head. Lifting you up from the ground he smiles "You are strong, but this is the end"

Lifting his sword there's a suddenly crash from the far wall, turning your head the best you can you see that it's none other than the golem.

The Demon gives it a confused look "What the hel-"

Before he can finish the golem dive tackles him and starts to pound on his face.

As the Golem grapples with the demon he's eventually pushed off. As they both stand the demon spits "If I was at my full power this would be easy"

The Golem stares at him while glowing red eyes "Target elimination highest priority"

As the fist fight continues it looks like they're even but soon the Golem starts to get pushed around. Smiling the demon pulls his arm back and throws a glowing fist at the Golem, as it connects his arm punches through the Golem's chest. Looking down the Golem's eyes begin to flicker but before they go out completely he grabs on to the demon "Self destruct mode activate"

In a blinding explosion the demon is thrown back into a wall. Dropping to the ground the demon says "That hurt, but only a little though"

Rushing out you launch a pressure wave at him knocking him back into the wall.

As you throw everything you have at the demon now pinned to the wall he smiles "That won't work mortal"

Slowly he begins to pull himself free and walk against the tide of spells, as he draws closer you fear that you'll end up in the same situation you were in a minute ago but a shine from the shadows catches your eye.

Suddenly something darts out with blinding speed and the demon cries out it pain. In the few seconds that this happens you're brain finally realizes what that object was. With surprising gaze Rylan runs at a pillar, jumping at it he moves up a few steps. Kicking off he back flips into the demons face and strikes downwards cutting off one of his horns.

Yelling in pain the demon says "MY HORN, DAMN IT"

As Rylan has it distracted you notice Brutus cowering by the throne. Pulling her sword out of a demon Sasha yells to you "KID, YOU HAVE TO DO IT WE'RE GOING TO WIN THIS"

Turning to Sasha you yell "NO, we're the good guys here. There has to be a way to beat him"

Pushing some demons away from her she yells back "This is no times for heroics kid"

Turning your attention back to the demon you see that Rylan's speed is keeping it preoccupied. Looking down you see it's horn on the floor and that gives you an idea.

Rushing over to it you pick it up and aim at the demon, pushing on the horn you launch it at blinding speed. As it impacts the demon is stunned, raising a hand you fire a lightning bolt that strikes the horn causing the demon to yell in pain. Falling to his knees he begin to breath heavily.

As the demon begins to raise to it's feet you start generating a lightning bolt and you can already tell that this is going to be a big one.

Gripping his sword the demon shakely stands, coughing up some blood he says "You're going to pay for this"

Roaring he stomps forwards and takes a swing just as you're about to cast. Shifting off balance the demon hits you with the flat edge of his sword and sends you into a wall. As you smack your head the world starts to grow dark but you can't let this end now.

You are named Tamzen Jenny, Alchemist, adventure and an overall friendly person. But right at the moment you just saw your best friend getting launched by an over sized jerk.

Yelling out you say "MILLY" and rush over to her. Shaking her arm you whisper "Come on, wake up" as the demon's foot steps get louder.

As it draws closer the demon laughs "See, this is what happens when you oppose me, now die like a good little girl"

Suddenly Milly's eyes open up but instead of the regular blue they are glowing white hot, almost like lightning.

As she stands you whisper "Mi-Milly are you- you okay?" but she doesn't reply

The demon stops and laughs "Looks like you can still stand but there's nothing you can do"

In loud voice that sounds like her's but at the same time not her's Milly speaks "Disgusting creature, you bring pain and misery in your wake. For that there is no redemption"

All around you can feel the air begin to charge with electricity, raise an arm Milly continues "Now burn"

Sending a huge bolt of energy at the demon it flies back into wall, sliding to the ground the demon asks "What? what is this?"

Slowly waking towards it Milly answers "Your doom"

For the first time since you've meet the boss demon you can fear in his eyes. Backing up slowly it makes a break for the exit but before it can leave another bolt takes it's leg off.

Standing over the demon it looks up to her with pleading eyes "Ple- please let me go, I'll change please"

Firing a bolt into it Milly smiles "No". Firing bolt after bolt she begins laughing "BURN, BURN, FEEL MY HATE"

Finally there's nothing left of it. Turning her attention to the lesser demons they all drop their weapons and run but before they can get anywhere a lightning bolt arks between all of them while Milly continues to yell "FEEL MY HATE"

As Milly continues to laugh and fire off bolts of energy Randolf and Sasha rush her. However, before they can reach her they are thrown back in a wave energy.

Laughing the strange voice says "Wait your turn fools, you will burn soon enough"

Shaking in your boots you shallow hard, you have to do something or you might lose her forever.

Dropping your sword you rush head first at her, thank god for your natural running ability or you might have not made it. Tackling her feels like running into a wall and she doesn't flinch, hugging on tightly you say "Come on Milly, snap out of it"

Looking down at you she gives you a twisted smile "She's ours now, yes ours, we will burn this world, make them feel our hate"

Hugging even tighter you say "Milly, fight it, this isn't you, you have to fight it"

Dropping the smile you can hear her regular voice "Tam.... is that you.... it's dark"

Ignoring it you continue to retell the story, soon her eyes become more and more focused and the colour starts to disappear.

The strange voice yells out again "IMPOSSIBLE, SHE'S OURS, OUR HATE WILL BE KNOWN"

Okay, that voice is starting to annoy you, looking up you say "No, Milly is my friend and I won't let you have her"

Hissing the voice yells out "WE WILL BE BACK FOR HER, YOU CAN'T STOP IT NEXT TIME"

Suddenly Milly closes her eyes and slumps to the floor, careful to support her you hold her there until her eyes flutter open. Blinking she asks "What happened?"

Smiling you say "Don't worry about it, just rest for now"

Tearing up she buries her face in your shoulder "It's was so dark, so cold, I don't know what happened"

Stroking her hair you shush her "Don't worry, just rest"

Closing her eyes Milly continues to weep into you.
