Peoples! Unfrizz your damn tails! I'm a day early, but hell, every day is CATurday, right?

Anyways I just completed the Fate rules for playing a CATastrophe setting. That's right, something to present.

Here we go.
>>
>>31710410
Why, though?

Because
1: I've been trying to get it done but people kept on making damn CATastrophe threads when no devs are even ready to present their flavor of CATastrophe, burning people out.

2: I really didn't want to even talk about CAtastrophe until I was done with rules.

3: Now that they are done I'm thinking of opening up a site or a method for people to submit settlements or regions to go with the rules. I am making sup some myself, but I was stuck in Dev hell.

To be honest, I felt complete. So I thought it was time.

You shouldn't have bothered, anon.
>>
>>31710410
Wohoooooo!
Congrats, Bro!

Dloading.
>>
>>31710508
Careful: When you need to make sure you do something right the first time, Careful is as careful does! This is also your common sense.

Clever: Grease monkeys, geniuses, and intellectuals sport this approach as one of their best.

Flashy: If you're a show-off, this is your best bet. If you love attention, what better way to get it than being flashy!

Forceful: You're a runaway freighter, having this as your best makes you a rugged athlete or accomplished weightlifter.

Quick: Like a snake, you wiggle away from certain knock-outs and use your agility and dexterity.

Sneaky: Trying to snatch that shiny? You might have to get around that Giant Crab that old Kuma uses to guard his junk yard.

I think you did a poor job with reiterating the approaches. Approaches are NOT ability scores like Str/Dex/Con/Int/Wis/Cha, they're how you do things.

Clever isn't all-around intelligence, it's how fast you can think up things on the fly, unlike Careful letting you think things over time.

Forceful isn't just your strength, it's how well you do things forcefully, even intimidating someone.

Quick isn't just your agility and dexterity, it's how good you are at doing things QUICKLY, even social things.

Sneaky is also about misdirection through words, etc.

Maybe try just copy and pasting the approach descriptions from FAE and editing the descriptions only minimally?
>>
>>31710786
Oh go screw a goat, Anon.

Can't appreciate hard work? At least don't complain.

> Dem ppl...
>>
>>31710903
To be fair, you did a great job with the stunts.
>>
>>31710903
I didn't want to copy the original text verbatim. That and I sort of wanted to frame the descriptions of each Approach in terms of the setting.
>>
>>31710956
That's a good idea, but try making people think of using aspects in other ways, like using Careful to think intelligently over a long time, or Forceful to scare someone away, or Quick to get the first word into an argument.
>>
>>31710912
It doesn't look like much, though? Just a bunch of home rules.

To be honest between my rules "hack" and the main rules, that should be self evident. The target audience would probably already be thinking such things. Fate players are a creative lot, I've discovered.
>>
>>31711090
It's some pretty decent rules.

I like the stunts and the ship rules.
>>

Newfag here. What is this?
>>

Here, let me help you with that...

>>
Thanks OP! These look good, I will give it a shot with my group.
>>

Fantastic artwork, interesting premise (I hope it really isn't furry though). It would be funny if this happened in the same universe as Aquanox (very dark setting in which people toil in underwater habitats and fight for surivival against eldrich horrors) - meanwhile on the surface there are catgirls
>>
>>31712388
I sort of intended for people to just run their settings, and keeping my rules "setting neutral" so anyone can run anything they want with it. Although mine is designed for a more cartoonish and lighthearted setting, there isn't anything stopping anyone from doing something else with it.
>>
>>31712464
Cta:FA on surface
Aquanox in ocean
Gurps inbetween
>>
I thought of making CATastrophe town generator in Orteil's gen, with
-town size
-town tech level
-town quirks (several)

any ideas?
>>
So when did bears become a race in this?
>>
As a welshman, will there be a GOAT edition of this?
>>
>>31712388
>(very dark setting in which people toil in underwater habitats and fight for surivival against eldrich horrors)
That's how CATastrophe was ruined the first time! Also responsible was the shoehorning of various animal girls that had no business being there in the first place(bear-girls for instance) and all the shit flinging between the grimdarkfags and the light hearted adventurefags ultimately turned it sour for everyone involved. Things got better though, there's a few versions of CATastrophe for different systems floating around being tinkered with.
>>
>>31716118
Are you trying to tell me I can't run a Dead Space inspired campaign in CATastrophe?
>>
Awesome, I've been waiting for an updated version of this. Thanks, OP.

I'm not entirely sure when I'll be able to run a game in the near future but when I can I usually run games over Skype via mic.
However if you want to discuss, my skype name is Gyrocoptor. I'm a very mediocre GM though.
>>
>>31710410
I appreciate the work you and any others that have put your time and effort into this. For a while i was afraid the assholes had pushed you into quitting.
>>
I want more setting! I want more characters, politics, mechs/monsters, cities and dungeons.
I realize that this setting is awesome, but the lightheartedness seems to take away from there existing any major event for characters to deal with.
I propose the next worldbook have multiple campaign ideas suggested including one major story arc. Also, a walk through style campaign (complete with maps!) could be provided to kick start running a game.
Did OP mention in an earlier thread about a page being set up for the purpose of helping create this game? I'd like to help if it's wanted.
>>
Alright, so That Damn Catfolk got tempbanned by accident and won't be around until tomorrow afternoon.

So to try and inspire discussion, character ideas! What kind of kemo would you guys like to play as?
>>
I liked that one idea that one Anon had about adding rules for contests instead of straight conflicts.

It would avoid straight up teen neko drama being the only conflict and it would give players some concepts for things to do. When someone says "Race ya there!", actually _race_ them there! When someone says "Let's have a pie eating contest!", work it out!
>>
Thanks for the hard work.
>>
>>31719707
Fate Accelerated already has rules for contests.

You don't own Catastrophe. If people like making those threads, they have every right (if it is a positive thread)
>>
>>31727753
Yeah, but without noise from the devs there was just too much opportunity for trolls and negative-nancy asswipes to take the threads over.

Checking in again, by the way:

>>
>>31729598
Also here's one I don't think I've put in a thread yet (although my memory IS weak as shit, so there's that).

The last time I was asked to come up with an "adventure" theme, I wrote "Setting Off". It got some positive response, but I still didn't think it was quite what they'd asked for in the first place... so I tooled around with something vaguely more orchestral-sounding.

Also, your kitten has returned. I'm now in a Roll 20 game, and I'm refreshed and really itching to start fluffing up some settlements.

>>31732240
It's for the Roll20 game i'm in. I'm not satisfied with just a portrait, so I thought having a full body of my mechanic/genius character would be nice.

She's wearing a sailor uniform (but not schoolgirl style, more naval, and with medium-legnth white cargo shorts) a life vest on in a way where she manages to have the collar of her blouse over it (and the collar protects her neck and cheeks when it inflates too), and pretty much has whatever else you can glean from the pic.

And maybe put a bandaid on her tail from a botched mechanic job would be cool too.

I have to admit, everyone, that I do appreciate the feedback. positive and negative. As long as it's constructive. I do read everything here, although I am trying to learn to ignore the trolls. Bit rough when it's your idea on the table when it happens.

But you guys here have been great and I would be out of order if I didn't thank Maestro for setting the course with his work. He's been a HUGE help and he's been a real trooper. In a way, he's the heart and soul while I've been the brains of the operation.

Although not to belittle his intelligence, he's as sharp as I am. He's just better at letting the rain fall off his back while I get all frizzed.

I think the main thing I added to it was the idea that you could store this thing aboard a bigger boat (like the catamaran in my picture), and just pull all the parts out and assemble it when you need it -- like when you've anchored outside a lagoon that you can't otherwise get into because the boat won't clear the reef or sandbar or whatever's in the way.

If your friends are the type of people who would flip out into a kiddish "hurr durr furshit" episode over anything anthropomorphic, you're probably better off skipping it entirely. If they're actually "ordinary people" like you've stated, they probably won't care at all.

The fear of ostrication so many people have over such an innocuous thing is disgusting. It's honestly harming the industry if we can't have something like catgirls without Something Awful era kiddies flipping shit about them.

On a side-note, I remember a little joke I did at a different TT... sad I wasted it on that instead of a CATastrophe game.

A friend got me one of those airliner life vests for my birthday as a joke (don't worry, it was from an aviation supply store, not stolen, I'm not a complete asshole) and I was taking it home with me but I had a TT to attend first.

About midway in the group was getting into a hairy situation and one of the players said we were getting in deep. So I had a inspiration pop up in my head.

When things got worse, I said "we're getting in too deep now... one moment..." and I put the vest on and inflated it. "Okay... continue."

Cracked the whole damn table up.

Pity it wasn't a CATastrophe game.
>>
>>31741027
You better make them tropical themes drinks.
Mai-tais with those little umbrellas work fit perfectly.
Another good drink is to mix up orange, pineapple, and mango juice. Add some rum and seltzer water and drop in a maraschino cherry or two. The little drink umbrella is mandatory.
>>
>>31716176
It would be shit, but you can try. Preferably out of sight.

I like the notion of CATastrophe being compared to fallout in waterworld with catgirls.

Would it be too silly to have the characters need to run off a bunch of bullies that recovered pre-flood power armor?

I don't want it all to be fishing and diving. I want mostly nekomimi - nekomimi interaction. The only problem is making it interesting without taking away from the overall mood of the game. Suggestions?
>>
>>31743609
Fallout ventures too much into the realm of grimdark that has ruined some of the previous threads. So unless you make said bullies dumbasses that try to be scary but end up failing with comical results, it doesn't feel like it would fit.

As to the second part, it seems like there's plenty of room for slice of life and cat-people doing cute things.
>>
>>31744214
The Fallout thing -might work- and here is how...

Post Apoc amusement park. None of the grimdark, plenty of dark humor, and loads of weird stuff to see and danger to frizz your tails.

A bit of a bump... I got a feeling people are digesting things.

On a side note, think I should have a bookmarked document or is it a small enough document where it's not much an issue?

Also, how is the flow of the document?
>>
>>31748592

Honestly, I think it's short enough that a little scrolling wouldn't hurt -- but you could still add bookmarks just to be on the safe side. There isn't much need to worry about "flow" in such a compact ruleset, but if there's room for improvement I'm probably underqualified to offer advice on it.

The reason why I mention Parasailing rig... one of those can get a user up about 800 feet at max tether. That gives you 34.7 miles visual range to the horizon compared to 3-5 miles on a ship.

It's a good way to scout out. And fun.

Ah, no problem, it's just that I studied aircraft engineering, and when I saw that contraption, it made my "INEFFICIENT DESIGN" sensor go haywire.

Again, in a "Waterworld"-esque setting, it would be an incredibly useful piece of equipment.

You mean like one of these?

I think the main advantage of the boat-and-glider design, in the CATastrophe world, is that you could take it apart and carry it disassembled aboard a larger boat.

That is actually a small airplane, with tail and control surfaces.

I was thinking more of one of these. Hell even an aerodynamic cowling around the seats and 2 floaters bolted to that would be much more efficient than a dinghy.

But indeed, having the dinghy separable from the rest and useable as a boat on his own would be useful in CATastrophe.

So there's giant sentinel robots that are still functional after centuries of being abandoned underwater. There's also bio-mechanical edible fish that predict the weather and forecast it. What kind of tech level can be found under the waves? It would have to be high. Infact, I'm sure that most technology found would probably be functional for the most part and high tech.

Most examples are limited to cds and cd players. I can understand that oil is still needed, but wouldn't water electrolysis generators or even tesla towers be more prevalent?

I'm thinking about excavation equipment, instruments of war, ships and vessels, and entertainment that would surely exceed fallout. There's probably enough tech to raise entire cities above the ocean and settle the ruins.

That's the kind of stuff I want to hear about.

Electrolysis generators are a very good idea. There won't be much fossil fuels anyway, so what doesn't work on electricity, works on alcohol.

As for cities, in my version of setting flooding wasn't instant, so there are entire city blocks that stand on supports over water. Sometimes these blocks are built on flooded cities.
Kinda like Pratchett's Ankh-Morpork, which is built mostly on Ankh-Morpork.
>>
>>31754020
It seems safe -- to me at least -- to assume that the cataclysm that created the story's setting happened somewhere between 200 and 300 years ahead of us, some time around the 23rd Century. Technology will probably advance quite far between now and then; if you can imagine humans inventing it before AD 2325 or thereabouts, it's probably kosher to include. We were throwing around ideas about more efficient and longer-lasting solar panels, fusion generators the size of golf carts, towns built around thermal power stations on the sides of old volcanic craters. Go wild.

They also react strongly to sound -- particularly music -- changing the color and intensity of their glow to match the rhythm. This makes them a big hit and must-have accessory to parties.

Dunno about carp. They would probably have to have to have adapted to eating less vegetation and more of other things.

Has anyone discussed the idea of having rapture-esque self-sustaining communities underneath the ocean with 1st gen humans?

The idea I had was for these to be pretty common at the start of the flood, but over the course of 1-2 thousand years the self-sustained communities would almost always fall apart and die horribly. However, there might be a couple left inside the ocean.

Yknow, one thing that bugged me about everyone who has tried to suggest humans returning is that they seem to want humans to both come back in full force and be recognized as humans by the kemos. But I think more in tone with the setting would be if one human is found, but due to his clunky scuba/space suit, all the kemos mistake him for a really fancy robot and parade him around their city for a while. Maybe he was here to learn what happened to earth after humans left, maybe his ship crashed and he needs some parts to fix it, maybe he was cryogenically frozen at the bottom of the sea and wants to go back down there since its the only thing that is familiar to him. Hell, maybe he decides to live with the kemos but never reveals his true identity since that would rob him of the quiet, easy life he has come to love. Its all up to the DM how they want to approach it.

That could make for a really fun random encounter, in fact.
>Your Dive Crew comes across a surprisingly lifelike, humanoid Oldguard with a domed head and surrounded by smoking rubble
Hell, on that note, you could even have aliens come to visit if you really wanted since the setting is pretty ridiculous and the kemos would probably just take them at face value.
>>
>>31760941
>"LOOK, MAN, DEAD BODIES".

All your characters feel very scared! Oooh spooky!

Personally, I might do a thing where there might be one or two humans left, but they have high-tech, almost magical equipment. Maybe a skeleton suit with a bubble shield. In addition, the world would be laden with such 'magical' apparati that can act as good rewards to players.

I certainly wouldn't have full-on human settlements, but I think there's some situations where it might be worth bringing in one or two.

One situation I consider is an earless as a recurring villain. He was woken from cryo-sleep by an expedition into some sunken ruins, and has made it his mission to either reawaken the rest of humanity, or call them back from the stars to retake the planet. He'll keep a pair of fake cat-ears and a tail as a disguise have a couple of Kemomimi as flunkies, who have been wooed by promises of endless shinies. Every time he turns up he'll be trying to restart some huge ancient piece of earless tech, and it will be up to the party to stop his plans. Most scenarios will end with him on a life raft in the middle of the ocean, with his two flunkes bailing water out of it and him shaking is fist and going 'I'll get you next time!' in a very Saturday morning cartoon villain sort of way.

Besides my hatred of the art in this book, it looks like it needs a bit more consistency and an improved layout. As it stands right now, it doesn't resemble a completed product and the "CATASTROPHE – Welcome to the World of the Endless Blue!" as well as date of creation and version is unnecessary on each page. If you would like, I could draft up a format in InDesign. I have some experience using the program.

Case in fucking point, the Redwall series. Or TailSpin, I loved that show. Or ANAMANIACS, for fucks sake. Remember when these things were fun and innocent, before the yiff ruined everything?

It still looks fucking horrible - the art is hideous and the setting is pants-on-head-retarded in my opinion - but it says a LOT about /tg/ that when I first saw it, I automatically assumed that "lol furries" was the leading reason it was being posted.

What are you here? A victim? Nobody here came to you like the Jehovah's Witnesses and pressured you into this conversation.

You don't see me acting you do here in every 40k, MtG, or any quest thread bitching and complaining and telling everyone in the thread that they should kill themselves simply because they're fucking everywhere all the time and I hate them.

Go make a thread about it and quit shitting up other peoples' threads.

I have been there since day one. I have seen the idea flourish and take life, I have seen it become shit and grimdark. I am proud.

How about Aesop and his fucking fables. You are just naming modern pop culture shit when this noise has been done for fucking centuries
>But if its a *monster*girl thread somehow that flies, despite being, technically, furry as all hell.
Whats really fucking hilarious is you JUST got done talking about how anthropomorphized animals predate the modern concept of furries, and now you're gonna cry furry at one of the things that's as old as anthropomorphized animals, if not older.

I am lost as to who is arguing what. Can we talk about shit like bigass genetically engineered water spiders that weave fishing webs that can be harvested to make some bitchin silk sails? Because I need me some piscivorous spiders.
>>
>>31771161
Check out some aquaria monsters at some time. It has some great aquatic beasties, including giant armored sea spiders that net fish in their webs.
>>
>>31771208

Aquaria? That the 2d videogame? or something else?
Spiders just popped up because I have a village in my game based around farming the webs and spinning them into (usually sail) cloth. That and another thing to throw at my players. In hindsight this is perhaps not the best idea when one of your players has arachnophobia... Anyhow, they exclusively subsist on fish, anything else being freed and tossed away from the webs. But not before being bitten. Venom is a fairly strong paralytic usually shutting down a Kemoni for a good hour or two. And as noted, their webs are a valuable raw material for making exceptionally durable sails. Though there's nothing from stopping an enterprising Kemoni from making say, swimwear out of the stuff.
>>
>>31771620
>Aquaria? That the 2d videogame?
That one, yeah.
>Spiders just popped up because I have a village in my game based around farming the webs and spinning them into (usually sail) cloth.
The ones in aquaria make their home in kelp forests, using the giant kelp stalks to weave webs in and based slightly more on sea spiders than their terrestrial namesake, save the webbing.

Not AGAIN.
Look.
There's percentage of fur required for thing to qualify as "furry". Cat/monstergirl are 10-20%, which is below that percentage.

That said, Maestro's character art IS terrible.

You know something? If anyone wanted to make better CATastrophe art than me, there's only two things they needed to do -- and it's the same two things I did.

1. Draw something.
2. Post it.

If my art's as good as the game can get hold of, it's not my fault -- blame the fact that Sleepy rarely shows up, or that he and I are apparently the only two drawfags on all of /tg/ willing to contribute Original Content to a CATastrophe thread. I know I'm not the greatest artist, but at least I actually MAKE stuff; everyone with more talent than me has apparently fucked off to Cuba or someplace else.

You want better art? Then make it yourself -- or get some better artists in here. Right now, I'm all you've got.

>animal girls that had no business being there

You mean like the cat people? I really don't get what they are doing in this or how they are contributing to the idea of essentially a post apocalyptic water world with some ruins here and there and some floaty scrap towns and boat houses either alone adrift or tied up together into moving apartment complexes.
Why cats?

>Why cats?

Mainly because the original art that inspired the setting had them; I think the first picture has catgirls, rabbit girls, and one dog boy.

The consensus eventually settled on five specific races -- cats, rabbits, dogs, bears, and foxes. Anyone who wants to add more can do so themselves, but we saw that as making it overcomplicated.

The in-universe explanation is that they're gene-spliced next-gen humans made by scientists who watched too much anime.

I dropped by because this thread has been alive long enough that I became curious. CATastrophe seems delightful and this music is the cat's meow. And hey, you have my appreciation for your artistic contributions, and my admiration for the efforts you did and the daring you demonstrated by posting them at all. Bravo.

This from a guy who never paid attention to this setting before. Downloading your music now.

>>31773522

Much obliged.

Well, the work (on the FATE version at least) is only partly done. Catfolk Pilot's been intentionally vague as to the worldbuilding in order to keep the ruleset itself as unrestricted as possible, but I know he's working on his own setting for the game. If you catch any references to the Compass Rose, that's the group of settlements he's designing. 1d4chan also has some useful worldbuilding fluff archived.

Look, I may seem a bit harsh with criticism. But its not the quality of the art, its the out-of-placeness. When I think Catastrophe I think

Not a fedora wearing, neckbeard animalfolk on the second page.

That said, some of the images remind me of the art of Atlantis: The Lost Empire. On page 10, the catfolk's face looks a lot like >pic related

I think you should ditch the Eastern attempt, and just go full blown western with your art. Its much more suited for it. Because as it stands now, your art reminds me too much of the smut-thread drawfag, and his/her shitty style.
>>
I think Larro, the QM of Hero Quest could plausibly easily make a cartoony CATastrophe game since his quest is pretty cartoony with his own drawings as is.
>>
>>31776201
Definitely. There was one other guy who ran a little quest about fixing up an old flooded tower into a respectable joint that was pretty fun. Guy stopped after two sessions, though.
>>
>>31777779
That was Sleepy_drawfag, if I'm not mistaken. Real-life bullshit got in the way of his continuing it on a regular schedule -- but you're right, it was a hell of a lot of fun.

If the art is really that much of a problem there is the possibility of me redoing Maestro's artworks. Although I admit that I like them, they have a certain charm in their simplicity and I would hate to step on other artist's toes I think that is is really disrespectful.

Mind you I do not think I would be capable of making the quality Nekomasu did, that man is godlike!

>>Not a fedora wearing, neckbeard animalfolk on the second page.
I think it was kind of purpose, to make it clear that this is supposed to be serious. Instead of having only kawaii-uguu catgirls. People already labeled it a "fetish setting."

>>31777779
>>31777834
Yes it was me, I did not continue after session 2 because
1) real life got in the way
2) I clearly way overstepped my boundaries with the quality standards. I just started it out of curiosity and sudden burst of idea. In order to make it proper in the future a hell lot of art needs to be pre-drawn which I did not plan out at all.
>>
Guys! Couple of things... Namely Errata.

In the character creation section, it mentions you get two Aspects. I hate to say it but I messed up there. You get 3 extra aspects, just like Fate Accelerated recommends.

Also I bookmarked the document! I will post a corrected document in a coupe of weeks, to see how things are going with people running the Fate version of the game.

Shame. I really liked that quest and would love for it to continue. If you want to have less pressure on you, consider doing mostly text updates and saving art posts for big developments, like new areas unlocking, boats arriving, day/night shifts, weather and other events.

>2) I clearly way overstepped my boundaries with the quality standards. I just started it out of curiosity and sudden burst of idea. In order to make it proper in the future a hell lot of art needs to be pre-drawn which I did not plan out at all.

This is an excuse to stop working and nothing else. "It's not good enough, I should put more work into it. Later."

Quest threads are an exercise in on-the-spot writing, the POINT is for it to be spontaneous and not polished. It is the same with art, at least for quests lucky enough to have it.
>>
>>31789756
I think that was only partially harsh. Yeah, quests should have a more "quantity over quality" approach in terms of the artwork, but there have been some quests where the person running had some decent work put in.

To be honest, the CATastrophe quest was pretty well done for a quest. Sadly at a point for something like a imageboard quest, something like that is a bit too involved.

I don't see it as an excuse, it's a legit reason. But perhaps Sleepy shouldn't worry as much about it.

Here is an Idea I had for an alt setting.

What if the Endless blue didnt exist and there was only the shifting sea....
>>
>>31791591
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNJTRhtgIFA

They call it the Shifting Sea. Its always moving, always changing... You have to be down right crazy to want to go out there. Yet every day bands of scavengers come in and out through those gates bringing in what they find out there. I dont know where they get these things or how. All I know is that it Kemo will pay good money for what those fools bring in. Its always a race to see who can get out to the fresh ruins first before they are picked clean by rival scavengers or before it returns to the sands. The pitcats are always working to see who can build the fastest buggy, the swiftest sandsailer or the most agile flier. They're always either down at the circuits with the speedfreaks or out with the Scavenger teams testing new designs.

Still, there are untold buried beneath these sands. Things that most Kemo only dream of. We've always wondered why things keep appearing in the sand. Who knows what dragged that stuff there. I just dont want to be around when it comes back...

Come, I hear there is a celebration down at the oasis tonight. One of the speekfreaks broke the old canyon record. Its best not to be late to these things else we may not find comfort for the night.

I feel like it would take a lot of the coziness and carefree tone out of the setting, since the desert is harsh as fuck. Still an interesting idea, though.
>>
>>31791591
>>31792666
>>31792852
A sea level rise of 1000 meters will submerge most the Earth's present deserts, but not the American West and Southwest. It would probably not be a desert anymore, though.

2000 meters would get all but the mountains even there.
>>
>>31773014
This is actually a really good reason.

with

The setting has more of a focus on racing, scavenging and searching for ruins/wreaks. Of course that doesn't mean that Kemomimi dont party in this setting. Sure they may take things a bit more seriously due to living in a desert but they still have fun.
I'm still doinking around with the idea but I think I have the groundwork or at least a basic Idea of where to go.
>>
>>31794681
It is. I find it hard to believe that if humans were smart enough to prepare for the coming change in environment, that certain groups of humans wouldn't try to preserve themselves. I really don't care if humans are naturally grimdark and can't exist in noblebright. It would be crazy to insist that they're now out there somewhere.

>This is an excuse to stop working and nothing else. "It's not good enough, I should put more work into it. Later."
An excuse indeed and life is full of them nothing new here, like I said before I just did not know what to do with it after session 2. I tend to try and solve every problem while drawing instead of thinking first.

>Quest threads are an exercise in on-the-spot writing, the POINT is for it to be spontaneous and not polished. It is the same with art, at least for quests lucky enough to have it.
Case in point that while my art is not that bad my writing skills are rockbottom-tier. Believe me I tried my hand at text quest making in the past and coupled with my shitty writing skills coupled with my mediocre English knowledge and general tendency to make typos in every word the results were rather dissapointing.

>>31789989
Thank you, would I have the free time and the motivation I would work more on the quest but I have other projects as well as RL so a Quest like this is not on the top of my priority list by far. I do acknowledge that there is demand and I am really happy that you guys enjoyed it. However I do not think I will continue it in the near future, if anything I will do a more simpler quest but that is not likely either. I can just work on it occasionally putting smaller things together.
>>
>>31796385
I would love to see you try out some random drawings, by the way.

>>
>>31765699
aaaaAAAAA

That's kind of using too much in the way of page margin on the top, I think, I'd match the margin on the side and top; the corners of the text area piece also could do to have somewhat less rounding I think, and I'd use the banners (christ, I can't remember what these are called) for underlining titles rather than being on every page. I feel they're a bit gaudy for constant use. A sequence of solid colors rather than each one being all tie-dye like they are now would also be better.

It does look nice though! I think it matches the mood of CATastrophe pretty well. Those are just my thoughts on it. Honestly, I kind of conceptually object, as I like my homebrew PDFs to be kind of lo-fi and friendly to home printers; but if the Pilot thinks it's good it's his say and I'll just make my own damn lo-fi PDF. :V
