Last time the clusterfuck continues except this time we managed to make a quick getaway at last. Only to find ourselves wondering what to do or where to go. Some brought up acquiring some mobile bases problem is that would cause us to owe them and more even we want more then one. Others suggest figuring out where to be dropped off with our base. Until then we find ourselves in odd company of whom Gunny Gineer of ALL people deeply enjoys only know it is due to something involving booty and pretty presents apparently.

What do?

Lol. The dice agree and why not I will back that plan of action. But what will we trade for the extra base?
>>
>>31543940
I figure that's up for negotiation. Probably some commissioned work from our troops and vehicles.
>>
>>31543940

Discussion was leaning towards either giving them some tanks, or letting them have the use of some of our soldiers+vehicles for a while.

If we have similarly massive stores of armor to what we had with the Splicers though, we could probably just hand them like 15k suits of Gears Body Armor.
>>
>>31543999
Fair enough, genie, could we get that resource list up?
>>
Rolled 78

>>31544017

Suit wise your base can support 10k troops.

You have that many body armor.
Power armor is only a mere 2500 suits.

Weapons and ammo levels are still superb.
vehicle parts have taken the hardest hit but we still have plenty of parts.

Keep in mind that we're awesome mechanics (well Gunny is, the rest of us just take direction well). The base we get doesn't have to be in working order when we get it, so long as we have time to fix it up.

Apologies for our friend there, he tends to joke in poor taste.

How about 5k of our Gearz Body Armor, 15 Hovertanks, 2 Choppers, and some of our men+their vehicles conscripted out to you too.

Sound good (to everyone)?

Looking at it, that's probably more than a fair price...maybe. Either it's more than fair or it's about par for the course. Even if it's more than fair we shouldn't chafe too much at it, Not like we'll last long enough to take advantage of even 5k body armor, amirite? getting paid extra will encourage them to call their favor in fairly and also prompt them to 'acquire' higher quality bases for us.

"So let me get this straight we have to find not one but TWO rare assets like that..."

"yeah yeah I know but we happen to found the one and were picking up on the others."

"What we got?"

"Busy checking spotted a Bandit Demolisher, Ghoulish Harvester, and what looks to be a zombified Mobile Industrial Operations. Oh wait seems like there is also a...Mech?

...damn this clusterfuck is causing some great loots to show up. Which we goin for?"

"Uh...well lets see they wanted some sort of scavenging shit right?"

"yeah but they also sorta have the Battle Support Unit."

"Well that makes things tricky...oh wait what series of Mech is it anyway?"

"...uh its Meka Company Classic the Combine series apparently."

"Welp its settled then. ONWARDS TO THE MECH!"

Uh how are we suppose to take on two of these guys at once?"

"Simple one group takes the base and the other lures those packs of Ravagers that are following us."

"I really....really don't like either of those options."

"Too bad its why I am the boss."

With that a force splits from the mobile base dashing hapazardly and with disturbing skills lures the ENTIRE Ravager Wing dispatched to follow them...and enticed them right into the awaiting battle.

Meanwhile the mobile base continues is slow shamble onward.

Say where should we place their base anyway?"

"Hm...uh. Well do we want to go hermit mode or hat?"

"like the hermit crab idea personally its cute."

In that case we are doing the Mech and now watch this."

"Wait how are we gonna do-

HEROIC ABILITY ACTIVATED.

Meanwhile deep in the bowels of our base working along side a work gang Gunny screams "BEST IDEA EVER! WHICH I WHY IT NEEDS FIREWORKS?"

"wait WHAT NOO!"

That was when under a halo of EXPLOSIONS and FIREWORKS. Our base tore away from the mobile base and launched itself directly at the oncoming mech. Only for the mobile base to hop on and ride it into the mechs face. That was when it forced our base around creating a shell all the while EXPLOSIONS and pretty fireworks going on serving to both damage, and help assist with the attachment before bandit forces were deployed amongst a wrestling match between a mech and base. Somehow despite the massive advantage the mech was loosing and getting wrapped up like a happy spider wrapping up its prey and future dinner. Afterwards the spider bit down and forces were deployed.

Meanwhile a certain strike forces being stalked by Ravager Flight Wing prepared to strike almost as if knowing what it needed to do and the time it should strike...

Meanwhile at the center of a certain clusterfuck a Warlord surveyed the battle. His forces now mostly having successfully penetrated the brood defenses and using their own traveling system against them. A crashed Mobile Fortress nothing more then a hulk as it quivered before the clashes taking place inside and around it.

"Temporary alliances are falling apart, carnage is everywhere, and everyone is fighting everyone else. A giant clusterfuck turned free for all everyone hurt, exhausted, or outright dying and guess who shows?t There in the distance fast approaching was force of Paladins and Company."

"Looks like its time to take out the trash."

Waited till there ain't much fight him and take all the credit eh you bastards?"

"Oh Slag looks like your in bad shape most your forces gone not nearly enough to hold out against us."

"Hah that is what you think."

"You wouldn't believe how much I was looking forward to this with you being trapped, exhausted, and the vast majority of your forces not accessible. This will be your end Warlord Slag its time for you to pay for your sins."

"HAH gonna ignore everyone else huh? What my wife ain't enough punishment?"

All around detonations took place. Releasing a vile combination of radiation, explosions, toxins, contaminants, and gore.

Charges went off spilling their contents all placed in the worst(best) place possible to maximize their effect. Troops were blown apart, key formations broken, catastrophic damage, and crippling that would not be noticed until it was too late while at the worst possible moment at that.

the ground itself both erupted and cracked beneath a dual strike. One from above and other from the below so fierce was the strike the ground could not hold nor break instead it melted as the strikes were synchronized in such a way as to make sure complete vaporization would not as it would not have been nearly so effective.

Instead the ground before your feet became sludge and so much was thrown up in the air all were blinded...sickened, died or turned. That still wasn't the end of it oh no it merely served to conceal the threat sweeping in amongst all the other countless threats and ways to died so as to be completely indistinguishable.

That was when a certain force followed by a ravager wing came down upon the flank of the paladins overwhelming and making away with a certain platform...

"How the hell did you know this was coming and synchronized it so well boy?"

"You know what your problem was general?"

...

"It was that you were so full of yourself you thought you were special...one of a kind and worst of all thought there was no one who could beat you. That is why you lost during the Fall and continue to fail even after."

...bullshit.

Yet despite all of that some just don't quit no matter what may happen to them, others, or those they care about. The people who survive General are those who stay hopeful and just keep striving onward but what about those who thrive? Those who thrive are merely those who are stubborn...but not just any ordinary kind of stubborn General oh no they have the kind of stubbornness that makes them refuse failure and spit in the face of death no matter how many times they may clash."

Dat roll ain't fair anon especially considering this is the third one that actually bothered...

On the way out we got discovered that just about everyone had left besides a few 'caravans' made up of the very last stragglers we noticed. Apparently they had not so easy to remove items they planned to take with them.

Besides that we noticed a large gathering of a rather not so fresh looking troops camped out at the very last refugee camp. Its worth noting there were forces escorting nearby groups to said location where they were then able to reorganize/supply before shipping out once more. Apparently this is the HQ of the local refugee forces who are fleeing the area. A large number of presences are worth noting to be here and are preparing to leave. At the moment there are not many left and it seems to have become less refugee camp and more military camp divided between two forces.

Meanwhile at said camp.

"You think its a good idea sticking around," asked a smouldering skeletal. guardian going by Elton Skeller.

"Why yes Skellton just waiting for a certain someone to be returned."

"Bah ain't safe here first it was fine enough being a refuge camp taken care of by the general but now its overrun with with those two forces..."

Point of note, are we even on the same continent as the Memor Swamp.

Nope you would have to go North then pass through the seasonal temporary bridge. After that its a long ass journey south again.Crossing through the utterly devastated lands hit by the Ghoulish Krulsade that wiped out an entire continent and very nearly took down another before their momentum got destroyed with Mourning Day. After that Ghoulish Krulsade collapsed and then scattered.

Right now your journey would go across the valley and into the foothills of a certain mountain chain. Across which is lurks Red Army that you'll have to cross through their lands to the seasonal crossing to get to the other continent.

Or.

You could follow the water to the bandit plagued coastlines and march up from there.

So you would prefer the primarily the Reds or Scum?

I'd like to see the Red Army (and go by the Glacial Basin and the Lonely Mountain for materials for building vehicles). Bandits are fun, but the domain of the Red Army has so much potential.

Also, they won't necessarily ALL want to attack us.

This presents issues with our obligated favor though, and with getting our members back.

Understand that the first section of the journey would take a while though, we're not SO well equipped that we can just waltz through the Red Army or along the Coast impetuously just yet.

Anon...I'm sorry but Moldovania isn't quite an option. There are Paladins there, and people who hate paladins...we have a very obviously marked paladin base, so we'd have both groups attacking us.

Sounds like we'll have some downtime here. Since this is a refugee camp, we should be able to find a fair number of people willing to sign up with a fine outfit like us, which seems like a great idea. And if we're waiting for a delivery, we might even have time to run interviews to make sure we get the best of them.

As a parallel effort, we could do a bit of humanitarian work here with the likely shellshocked survivors. We came away pretty well from... all that, so helping out people who didn't could pay big dividends when they tell their friends.

Will reuse thread tomorrow by the way so if you plan to woo the refugees discuss how you plan to do so. For the sake of ease I will say there are refugees of every civ type possibly even hybrids.

Current Major Guardians of them are

Umbra Forces came to reinforce Jenny but for some reason have stuck around and decided to do some good.

Volk's Guard who aligned with the infamous Dr. Volk have also stuck around after seemingly fulfilling their purpose and decided to help out. Reasons unknown.

Native Guard
Mostly exhausted at this point as many of them left with the previous waves they have handed off the heavy lifting to the other two as they too prepare to leave.

New Guys

Paladins are said to be handing out a helping hand and generally being really good guys.

>if you plan to woo the refugees discuss how you plan to do so

I would suggest we stick to our strengths. Repairing someone's vehicle when they're trying to get somewhere will make them love you, even more so when they're trying to get away from somewhere. And it will give us lots of time to talk to them. We could have crews of a couple mechanics, a couple guards, and a face move around, offering to help people who seem to have broken down. While the mechanics fix their rides the face gets to know them, and the entire crew decides whether to extend an offer to travel with us.

It would be nice to do the old 'food and medicine' routine, but I don't think we have enough to spare at the moment. Also, it would probably put us in closer contact with the Paladins, which would probably be a bad idea.

We've also got spare power from the breeder reactor and the emergency biofuel generators, which could be very useful to some people right now (I'm thinking water purification the like). I'm not clear on how the biofuel generators work, but if they can be used for sanitation that alone would save hundreds of lives in a situation like this.
>>
>>31558902
Hopefully we might strike it lucky and our act of kindness and charity doesn't wind up biting us in the ass like it has every single time we've tried it.

The Paladins seem to be doing it with success, but they're paladins and getting bit in the ass is their modus operandi.

I'm not entirely sure what the biofuel generators mean either, are they a type of generator that only runs on biofuel, or does he mean we have light biofuel production capability?
>>
>>31558978
Also of note, is it the anniversary of Mourning day? Or some sort of holiday we're missing on?

Umbra and Dr. Volk's forces helping people, out in the open no less. Umbra almost never works out in the open, it's antithetical of them.
>>
Rolled 79

>>31558978
I would see it more as a recruitment drive made to look like charity, so hopefully it doesn't count. As long as we don't become sickeningly sweet and self righteous I feel like the Dice Goddess will overlook us .

I hope Genie explains the biofuel generators, I feel like they could be useful here but maybe I'm being overly optimistic.

That sounds like a generally good plan. We ARE vehicle dudes and we do have the Battle Support Unit, so repairing all the vehicles shouldn't be much of a problem for us.

I'm pretty sure that Emergency Biofuel Generators are just electricity generators that run on biofuel. You know, a backup power source like hospitals and such have.

Rolling to support.
>>
Rolled 93

>>31558902

We could probably refuel people (pending Gunny's advice and....just some very solid confirmation that giving out our biofuel won't harm us) too seeing as our vehicles have their own mini-reactor-esque things powering them.

>>31560915
They do usually mini reactors unless you need a whole lotta extra oomph
which case plasma reactors start showing up.

>>31558902
Seems like consensus is to offer your vehicular expertise. Which goes quite appreciated I might add so people certainly do like us now. Granted they are not for sticking around much. Regardless though apparently a certain 'package' has been delivered by a single aircraft that flew in during the dark of night. As for getting people to travel with us considering how far the journey is and where it would mean we would have to go...most were not so excited by that idea and those who were...well lets just say they were quite the odd characters who seemed especially excited at the prospects.

Cuzthian Cultists
Believers of Morning
Sulcha Kulbe
Mula Sec.

were the ones who seemed especially interested.

There were others but they were more keen on getting away to a place of safety there were however a few exceptions.

Assorted Others(those who are not large enough to be considered their own distinct group)
Natko Remnants
Azar Band
Gerz Ind.

We have also heard confirmed of there being another meeting point for forces...but these ones being more frowned upon. Unsurprisingly its located underground and away still in a nearby Mega Dam.

Gerz ind. sounds like it shares a common ancestor with Gearheads, I'd be for inviting them too if they don't have a bad rep.

Anyone else I'd ask Skeller's advice, he's been around a while and it's his trip anyway. The way I see it we're just trying to stay in his wake, like walking behind a bodybuilder in a crowd.

By the way I am a little concerned about our food supplies now that we're inviting more people. Am I just being paranoid or would it be a good idea to see which of these factions have knowledge of hydroponics?

Nono, Gunny was talking in an earlier scene about how he 'put a ring on the first woman he met that wasn't useless'. Sounds like hero potential to me.

Can't hurt to share the fluff I was thinking of for Gunny's wife then, it translates pretty easily to Gunny's Sister...

>Wenda 'Were' Gineer grew up surrounded by men who wanted to do her work. A lazy person would have done nothing and taken the credit. But Wenda was not a lazy person. She learned to direct, and to inspire. Whether due to some wild psychic talent or just ancient human instinct, any group she co ordinates is faster, more precise, and more efficient. Also more likely to need to blow off steam.
>Her relationship with Gunny is complex. She hates that he makes better explosions than her, and he hates how at ease she is when talking to strangers, warlords, or insane AIs. They've both tried to teach one another the tricks of their trade, but without much success. It is a matter of great disagreement between them which can drink the other under the table. They've tried numerous times to settle it, but have run out of alcohol every time.
>And if you're wondering how she got her call sign, work as her lab tech on a full moon. Just be aware that nobody will believe what you'll say you witnessed. Neither will you, once the nightmares stop.

Hmm. I'm digging Gerz Ind. and the Azar Band. Maybe Mula Sec too.

Then the more curious, less rational part of me wants to take the Cuzthians or the Believer in the Morning. I suspect Morning might be cover for 'Mourning'.

Though I'd feel bad about turning any of them down, considering what we'll have to go through to get where we're going...and what we'll have to face once we're there.
>>
>>31562432
I like Gerz and Azar. It also occurred to me we can travel with all of them for mutual protection without necessarily inviting them to be part of our group. We could watch the dangerous seeming ones on the way and see whether we'd want to merge our groups eventually without committing to it.

One question...

Are Cultists **all** NECESSARILY evil?
>>
>>31563222
For that matter, what would the differences be between a zealot and a cultist?
>>
Rolled 61

>>31562432
heh just to tell you there are actually two hybrids lurking around thanks to the damned dice.

>>31563222
Not at all. The only faction that is without fail 'EVIL' are the bandits.

>>31563298
Zealots and Cultists had to differentiate them based of beliefs and bonuses.

In other words zealots were a bit more widestream in their beliefs but they are EXTREMELY devout. This led to their trait.

cultists were not nearly so widestream and that led to them discovering interesting potential tid bits...
>>
>>31563222
Also, likely the answer to that question is, there are exceptions.

Like that bandit paramilitary group from Memor turned out to be good guys who were forced to become bandit like.

Also it's religion, and can be fickle. I'd imagine there are Zealots and Paladins out there who are fanatical enough to kill any "infidel" or "heretic" they come upon, even if they're nice guys, yet act kind and good to members of the faith. Likewise, it make be the exception, but there might be cults out there whos tenants on the whole promote peace.

I find that latter part highly unlikely, but in edeword, not impossible.

Still, the Memor promoted and believed peace, but were really really evil too. As to a lesser extent the Splicer who felt they did a good thing being gentle and gave those pleasure slaves a good time, despite the situation being rape.

It's a matter of perspective really. What's most important isn't if they're evil or good. It's how they will react to us and how others react to them.
>>
>>31563422
>The only faction that is without fail 'EVIL' are the bandits.
Except that one bandit paramilitary group from Memor.
>>
Rolled 1

>>31562615

Mula Sec is pretty much an auto-take. We're a paramilitary group but...as we saw demonstrated early in the Civ, we are very much specialized into our vehicles. Having some nice and tough groundpounders would be good. That aside, their goals mean they're not going to jump ship unless we act retarded (which we've gotten much better at not doing). Another bonus is that they are apparently very interested in going to the Memor Swamp.

Gerz Ind. sounds good just because we need some industrial expertise. We've got the tools to make shitloads of cool stuff, just not the know-how.

Azar Band sounds good because survivors would mix well with our specialty, and would allow us to loot shit effectively.

Grabbing all the Assorted we'll need to specify what types exactly we're picking out among them is a good idea, just because they'll serve as a good neutral force without particular identities for everyone to mix with.

The rest of them are also all very valuable in their own ways, because us 300 men aren't going to get even 10% of the way towards the Memor Swamp without buffing ourselves up extensively.

If we can fit all of them I'd say we should grab all of them. What are their numbers, Genie? And do any of them have problems with any of the other prospectives?

Keep in mind though, guys, that the political situation is going to be delicate until we all live together for a while. Mixing people up will cause initial flashes to be more common and serious...but will cause people to integrate better in the long run (meaning we won't have to deal with internal conflicts). Giving each group their own area will reduce conflicts and allow them all to keep their identities and strengths...but then we'll never really be able to be sure of their loyalties to 'us' (the Gearheads/players).

So we'll have to play it careful in order to not end up with another Slave Revolt.
>>
Rolled 20

>>31563562

Thank goodness that was pure discussion.
>>
>>31563422
So basically zealots are usually part of the more popular religions, and are very devout, while cultist just happen to be part of the more unpopular or obscure religions.

I'd imagine there are likely Cultist who are highly devout in their beliefs, thus making them zealot cultist, no?
>>
Rolled 6

>>31563613

That'd make them a hybrid, yup. I suspect that either the Sulcha Kulbe or the Believers in the Morning are a hybrid cultist/zealot civ.

As for the other hybrid...Maybe the Natko Remnants of Gerz Ind. Gerz Ind. might be think tank/megacorp hybrid (unlikely though, they're probably pure corp).
Natko Remnants we don't have enough information on for me to judge one way or another.

-Gerz Ind. should go into whichever base they like better
-Azar should go into the Meka
-Mula Sec gets split between both because we're lightly manned in both (if they're alright with that)
-Assorted get split evenly between the two bases and largely integrated into us but tech-oriented members go with Gerz and survivors/salvagers go with the Azar. We'll hold contests soon to further divide them into scouts/technicians/etc.
-Cuzthians go into the BSU (Battle Support Unit)
-Sulcha Kelbe and Believers go into the Mecha, but in separate sections. Unless they like each other, in which case they can comingle as they see fit.

As for Natko, can they tell us what the point they're trying to prove is? We'd just like some more information if they're willing to give it.

Also Vampires? Don't be silly. There's no such thing as vampires. . .right? But there are rumors of witches and warlocks, some sort of coven or meeting place. The Mephistophlites like to go here to, but no ones able to tell if it's for pleasure or business.

Beyond that, the zombies here are. . .well, strange. They don't even act like the usual kind.

Apart from the fact that yet another legendary Dr. Steinfrank was said to frequent the place when he was alive. No one's actually seen him, so he's probably dead.

Also Gunny seems unbelievably butthurt for some reason apparently it involved a coin flip and his wife the fact he is still mad must be a testament to what happened. Luckily he seems to have gotten over it thanks to new company that he can complain at/to.

Bandit presence is only slightly below average from the looks of it beyond that the factions are also low...everything is really. Except for monsters place is crawling with them. Lots a stuff lying around too looks like once a upon a time this place was something else lota old battlefields lurking around too by the looks of it. Interesting place lots of potential.

Places bears the marks of the Omega Complex taps into the the resources shipped down the mountains/hills, while the damns produced power. This place officially grew lots of crops and lumber. Unofficially it a did a whole lot more then just that. This place became quite the battleground due to its massive stores of just about everything. Brutal fighting took place which funnily enough ruined everything they were originally fighting for.

Did Skeller offer an action? Anyway its unknown what he is up to but he seems rather worried considering he has brought on the elite SS, borgs, and even the Shrouds for whatever it is.

Did any of them look like ones we'd be able to take on?

Probably not, seeing as this area is crawling with monsters and has a brood presence.
>>
>>31574714
Brood Win Flawless Victory. True. But the look on their face when they come home to us, Price less. As well as their numbers are lower at home. So no two front war going on.
>>31574750
Hm. What do melters do? I think we could knock the flames way with a ranged attack. So not to bad.
>>
>>31574750
Ground melters? Psh, we have hover tanks, we don't even ground.
>>
>>31574750

What happened with the giant mess of monsters and brood and shit that was heading for a big clusterfuck.
>>
Rolled 38

>>31574839
Busy murdering each other horribly.

>>31574782
Why would you want to take on bandits? I mean sure you could shop around never know what you might find but still.
>>
>>31574897

...Muh-muh good guys.

Muh bandit loot.
>>
>>31574897
Bandits for fire power then brood for blood bath. Ask if any one wants to mess with us after words and get some new recruits.
>>
>>31574937

Heh, unless we do something Bloodsnow-tier crazy our reputation isn't going to outrun our travels.
>>
>>31574937
Woah, no. We are on a pilgrimage over here, nobody knows we exist right now, lets not change that.
>>
Anyway, it's late so I'm going to call it a night.

We need to find some way to capitalize on this battle though, while still remaining good guys.
>>
>>31574978
A pilgrimage threw unknown lands and a small team. We will need resources for the long haul and upgrades out the ass.
>>
Rolled 97

>>31575020

We're going to need so, so many upgrades.

Funnily enough, not for the travel. Just for the 1s we'll inevitably roll along the way.
>>
>>31575020
Sure we do, and we just got a major one. I would continue salvaging/scavenging/exploring the places we can and avoid the battle.
>>
>>31574750
Any of the heroes think we should shop around or do they want the sweet sweet bandit loot?

Ideas so far for turn
Basic1: Set up Hydroponic system Gunny over see as well any other engineer or machinist.

Basic 2 Battle plan with Heroes and the like for bandit raid.

Basic 3 shop around more.
>>
Rolled 29

>>31575104

>Basic 1
Set up the Hydroponics with the Gunny. Use Rigged or Repairer's Grace (Rigged if possible and it won't cause any long-term problems).

>Basic 2
Continue scavenging (with the Azar Band) in areas unaffected by the battle.

>Basic 3
Scout out the forces that were temporarily revealed when their cloaking tech went nonfunctional and assess their defensive capabilities. Also try to tell if they're evil, that's important for us to remain good guys.
>>
Rolled 87

>>31575176
Sounds good to me.
>>
Rolled 18

>>31575212

The line I'm going down is that people who had their cloaks shut off were probably relying on stealth for defense and so they'll be less heavily defended.
>>
>>31575240
Fair. Think tanks or people watching the area. Is my guess for who they are.
>>
Rolled 74

>>31575176
Gearhead garr ain't nothin ta fuck wit.
>>
Rolled 45

Or Umbra.

Is Skeller disliking Umbra enough justification for attacking them to not be evil?

Eh, nevermind we don't really want to piss them off anyway.
>>
Rolled 85

>>31575176
Crude Hydroponics has been constructed. Should help alleviate the food problem.

Scavangers bring yet some more resources.

5 resources acquired.

Seems like their previous operations let them figure out the clusters a lot better and understand how to take advantage.

Unfortunately for us the downed cloaking is no longer in effect looks like we waited too long. We know their at there though just not anymore...

I think as long as rizal with us there should be a truce between us. SWH is her sis after all.
>>
Rolled 40

>>31575348

Or Rizal leaves us because we attacked her sis's company.
>>
>>31575343
With the resources/parts we have can we set another hydroponics or improve it?

Basic1: Watch the battle to see troops equipment and fighting styles. So we can plan attacks on them.

Basic 2: Improve hydroponics (if we can.) Hero aiding)

Not sure for three. More parts or attack something.
>>
Rolled 49

I notice we don't have a reliable source of water, which could be a real problem depending on where we're travelling. I would suggest the following:

>Basic 1
Set up cistern and water recycling system (Gunny, rigged)

>Basic 2
Set up hydroponics (this was functional when we found it, so it shouldn't take a hero action to do)

>Basic 3
Observe the battle from a safe distance, look for opportunities to scavange/salvage. Keep moving if we don't see any.
>>
>>31575448
never mind, started writing before update
>>
>>31575463
That and the working one is in a war zone. But i like the water idea.
>>
Rolled 67

>>31575343

>Basic 1
Improve the shit out of those hydroponics! We're going to have you be doing this for quite a few turns man.

>Basic 2
Battle still going on? Then go out looking for parts to upgrade the hydroponics again, or parts for upgrading our water systems, Azar Band. Hot damn you guys are useful and awesome, we love you. (This is either scouting for the parts, or going to salvage them depending on what the Azar Band thinks is better).

>Basic 3
Try to improve our water filtration/storage/recycling/collecting systems so we don't all die of thirst goddamn it. Gunny+(Rigged?)

In the meantime, how's the battle going?
>>
Rolled 82

>>31575428
voting, plus
>Basic 3
figure out water management system so we don't run out.
>>
>>31575490
I think it would be good spend a action to watch them fight. To see their heroes and units in action. Learn anything we can from them.
>>
Rolled 84

>>31575448
>>31575532
I can go with this.
>>
Rolled 26

>>31575533

Why? At this point I intend to leave here when the battle is gone. The area is rich in loot already, and everyone who might attack us is distracted.

Let's just get our fill and leave, no reason to pick a fight with anyone if we don't have to.
>>
Rolled 36

>>31575490

I'll second this.
>>
>>31575549
If we can fight them we can get their equipment and the intact hydroponics facility.
>>
Rolled 29

>>31575549

I mean, why so fighty all of a sudden guys? We have 10 resources on us, that'd be a fortune to most of our civs. If we can continue getting 3-7 a turn and the battle goes on for a turn or 2...then the factions are all exhausted from it for a further turn or 2, then that's a fuckload of resources right there.

>>31575568
The intact facility is likely to be wrecked in the battle, best just to salvage parts and improve what we have. If the Memor can get a god-tier biofuel production facility from scratch with no tech expert then we can get awesome hydroponics facilities with all of our techies and engineers.
>>
>>31575568
Not worth popping up on everybody's radar. Most of us agree that we should avoid combat in this instance.
>>
Rolled 52

>>31575490
Let do then.
>>
>>31575490
>>31575448
I think we are arguing about nothing guys. Re read the two actions. They are basically the same.
>>
>>31575595
I'm not suggesting we be fighty, but when there's a fight going on it's good to know who's fighting, who's going to walk away (and in what shape) and where the best loot was dropped. I agree we shouldn't start shooting at someone just because we can, but that doesn't mean we should ignore the battle either. If nothing else it could help our troops pick up some new strategies.

>>31575568
Given Gunny's "repair" ability, I'd much rather get a broken facility for free than bleed for a top of the line one.
>>
Rolled 95

>>31575616

We're already on everybody's radar in this area, because of the good old bait+switch+firework+crit success but we don't need to worry about it that much if we're gonna head out soon.

Oh yeah, next action we need to devote the Mecha Combine to harvesting shit! I can't believe we've forgotten about that! Shit, that's the whole reason we asked for/got the thing! Damn we're idiots.
>>
Rolled 87

>>31575674

Eh, fine I guess. We probably have enough War Capacity to get in, subdue the facility, seize the facility, and get out with little/no losses on a good roll. We'll scout next turn and assess?
>>
>>31575661
Don't have the functional one. So that would be a wasted turn.
>>31575674
Fair. But that is why we scout to see if would be worth it or not. But cool ether way.
>>31575686
... Shit i new we got it.But i keep thinking it was for fighting more than anything else. Until we upgrade it with stuff.

I am still imagining a "mecha combine" as a mech that combines with other mechs to make a bigger mech.
>>
>>31575825
It's the head we just need to find all the other big ass pieces.
>>
>>31575907
Wait...for real? Your pulling my leg... it CAN be, it can take from other vehicles and add to its self, if we "feed" it enough scrap metal, screws, servo's and shit like that there is absolutely no reason we can't end up with a giant anime robot, we should look for old battle fields and let our little hermit crab graze on all the fallen equipment and shit everywhere we go.
>>
>>31575907
It just dawned on me, if we start referring to the "mecha combine" as "mecha hermit crab" or "the crab" it might fix some of the confusion.
>>
>>31575723
scouting and assessing seems like a good idea, it sounds like a very big clusterfuck. No point wading in if they're still killing each other for us.

>>31575779
If we can't use it for harvest, we should get on that sooner than late. It's not like we're low on resources.

>>31575343
How does the harvesting work on this baby? Is it like a mobile mining trawler or something? If it's nonfunctional at the moment, do we have an idea how many resources it would take to get it working?
>>
>>31576066
I know it will make us a bigger target and Harvest: Able remove the chafe from the good stuff.
>>
>>31575992
Yeah we could Assimilate: Combine series were noted with their eerie ability to absorb stuff within their own frames so long as it was vehicle. Unlike other mechs they weren't limited to just mech parts. the shit out of battle fields.
>>
I also want to make use of our Combination ability when we get into big fights. I would love to see what happens went we mix all the parts of both base together. When it says"Able to combine with other forces to become a new whole and reverse again" I assume we can mix and match till we find what we want.
>>
>>31576208
Why the fuck didn't we combine both bases with the hermit crabs ability from jump?
>>
>>31576361
People didn't think about or like me want to see what we fully have in it before hand.

Probably*

I'm guessing genie went to sleep. Dam this has been a good week and threads.
>>
>>31576470
yup fire power, Who has it the bandits. I really want to fight them. Yes Other is EXTREMELY HIGH. But dam if we could get some nice things and then run, if we can (rather slow) no sure what the speed is equal to.
>>
>>31576508
We would already have all the firepower we need If we combine the two mobile bases we will have essentially 3 bases in one. We kinda want to do that. We can attack bandits later, I'm sure these won't be the last we will find. Monsters are fucking tough in this game though, and great at killing humans specifically I think? We need to not push our luck right now, we got 10 resources and a hydroponic system to upgrade. Let's play it safe.
>>
>>31576605
I just hope the next area will be better. But I'm fine with upgrading and getting what we can free.
>>
>>31576679
Talking about boom.. I know we are all thinking it. One of the biggest issues with our mecha mobile base is that is is slowed because of its shell it After we feed the crab the paladin base it will probably worsen the problem. So if we are willing to make an investment.... A BIG one feed it all of our hover tanks. The base will be able to use all of the cannons as well as become the first hover mobile base I have ever heard of..
>>
>>31576836
In time we will have a fortress.
>>
>>31576879
With clora and mora on our tail in their genuine pre fall fortress..
>>
>>31576906
Damn, with this mentality the "hermit crab" thing was almost prophetic, every so often we will grow into a bigger shell until we are as big of a threat as a genuine mobile fortress. Viczar may have not known the butterfly effect he has caused, but if we happen to survive till endgame we will have acquired the lone surviving splicer elite forces but we have seen some shit and this whole civ seems destined for some crazy shit.
>>
>>31577047
I kind of to get it renamed now to fit better. But another time.

Take easy.
