Previously: A Young Rocket went on a rescue mission to save civilian lives from a shipwreck out at sea. To her surprise and dismay, the ship's repel-tech system had been compromised by a breach in the hull, setting the stage for unknowns to lurk within.

After witnessing an older ranger die in a split second, the young Rocket committed to killing the perpetrator and following another to the source.
Meeting with an Esper leader of the brutal sea monsters, the young rocket attempted to talk down the hostiles, interrupted by the intrusion of a Tentacruel that sought to drown the ship.

Escaping with her life and her friend, the Young Rocket was swept away be a powerful underwater current to a land far and unknown.

Awaking upon a beach, she found herself to be lost and alone. In seeking out her friend, she met Kurojo of the Kahkori and his mentor, Mukon. As fortune would have it, the friendly humanoid "monsters" led her to their home, Kakarkiko village with promises of assistance in finding her friend.

Spending too much time idling, sunset caught them by surprise and the Young Rocket, along with a scared young boy set out into the dark. Finding her friend, and slaying the dreaded Nar-Kage in the process of return, she secured her new friend's position as a man and hunter, while making a name for herself amongst the tribe.

Though she fell ill, it is soon time for her to awaken to continue finding her way home!

After speaking with the Kahkori healer Cerulean finds out that there's a mainland with a city. Spending a few days taking the first steps into aura as her recovery progresses, she is finally ready to set ou!

'sup Prof. can't stay long, but good luck on quest today. And looking forward to Dead Last Ninja's next thread
>>
With Kanaji's words in mind you really wonder. Why hadn't you asked about finding your way home earlier? The thought had occurred to you, but it didn't really seem like the most important thing at the time.

It's safe here, the Kahkori are friendly and even Marine's warmed up to them during training. She was impressed at their ability to strike her even through her armor. The first time she felt the force palm technique was a real surprise for her.

And all they've really asked for in return is for you to talk to them. To say words in meaningful ways. There were some sessions where a good part of the village lent you an ear while you talked with Kurojo and Marine. Even with these few days you hear less bird chatter and more words that you understand. Further time around them also gets you around to hearing another kind of dialogue that sounds like your speech, though the words are foreign to you.

You catch Kurojo in the training grounds, practicing motions with his newly acquired Kage Blade. The sword shimmers in swing with the same light that the beast had emitted during its killing strokes. It seems that this blade carries that property.

He goes through the motions, stilling his breath and adjusting his feet now and then to correct his form. Despite some combat fear you can tell that he's a very diligent guy that's well capable of training on his own.
Every time he seems off balance or has poor footing he seems to catch it, scold himself, and fix his posture and swing.

Without turning to face you, he slides the long blade into its slick black sheath and adjust the straps so that it rests across his back,”Sheru, you come to train with me?”

“No Kurojo. I wanted to ask you about leaving.”
>>
He seems to pause, a bit troubled by it. You can sense the fear beneath his feathers. Like a puddle that dampens his spirit, yet only needs to be wiped away.

“Kanaji said that we could leave any time. I need to go home, so I need to go to the mainland.”

He settles down, and looks up to the canopy, at what sky filters through this open area.
“I wourd want to go home too if I were rost...” Sighing, his eyes focus on you with kindling determination,”We will ask Tropius. But Marine is not a ranger.”

“She's a ranger from my home, I am too. I told you that.” You say, crossing your arms.

“Tropius decide. Come Sheru.”

The two of you give your regards to the village elders and pay respect to Kanaji. The two of you take about two day's worth of supplies. Kurojo explains what he meant about the Tropius deciding.

The Tropius live with the Kahkori but they do not belong to the Kahkori. The Tropius decide who rides them and when they leave. The Kahkori can only ask them when they fly and request where they go to.

Tropius will refuse if it's too dangerous for them.
>>
>>31501290
reporting!
Also marine is totally worthy. she stronk.
>>
With enough supplies to last the two of you until the next island you follow Kurojo to the tropius.

You'd expected much larger creatures like the ones that hang around the village eating berries and bathing in the sun. Those are elders that have decided that their travels are done.
Before you lie much smaller creatures that still tower over you by at least twice your height bathing in the sunlight of the beach.

You sense a great deal of calm from the monsters. It's enough to tell you that they're gentle, that they don't mean you or much of anything else harm.

“So we just gotta get them to take us, huh?” Marine marches on up to one of the biggest as it basks in the sun and waves at it. “Heyyy! Take us to the next island!” She yells up at the thing, rightly ignored as its eyes don't even open.

>>31501513
Question. Do we still have that extra voltorb to power our stuff? and how long would it last if we didn't use Repel tech and just used the Index?
>>
>>31501830
Yes. You still have both voltorbs. If just used for the index it'll have power for a few days, enough for the other to recharge and switch back.

Running repel-tech at low gives you twenty four hour cloak.
Medium a six hour charge
High beats it down to thirty minutes.

Low: Go unnoticed by monsters as you pass by them without getting too close or crossing vision.(Monsters with poor sight may not see)

Medium: Same as above with the caveat that you can cross their vision. If they become alarmed and look for you, they'll see.

High: You won't be noticed even if you cross their vision. Alarmed monsters won't be able to see you even if they know that you're there.
Some monsters may start ti feel the urge to leave if you come into close proximity.

I'll attach this into the tech bin so you guys know for future reference.
High isn't used often due to the danger of running a low battery even lower.
>>
>>31501934
Can we use it to take a quick pick of the Tropius then? I don't want this opportunity to go to waste.

Also, can the Index record monster cries? because If so, we should ask Kurojo later if he can make all the monster noises that he knows and ask him to describe the monster a bit for us.
>>
Does Marine have to get her own Tropius, too?

We might have to help her accomplish that, or help convince the Tropius that she's acceptable or something.
>>
>>31502044
>Also, can the Index record monster cries?
Yes, and you can.

There will be opportunities for tropius later on though.

I haven't used it for any rolls in such a long time.
>>
>>31502203
Yeah, sure, go ahead. I guess weakness finding would work for Ingenuity.

Speaking of which, if we try to find a weakness, would we just roll for it to identify a monster's weakpoint?
>>
>>31502203
Hey Prof, I noticed that we already had 1 rank of Aura Combat. Was that free?
>>
>>31502249

>>31502274

>>
>>31502319
Oh, wait, that means we had 2 points left over after all? Could we use that for Quick Attack?
>>
You reach into your supplies for some berries, rolling them between your fingers to squish them a little bit, releasing the juicy scent into the air. Walking up to one of the smaller tropius as it bathes in the light.

Offering the berries you seem to get its attention as it opens its eyes and bends its neck down to lap them up, curling them onto a slimy green tongue before chewing away at them.

“Ah, umm.. Can you take us to the mainland please? Or at least the next island over?” You fiddle with your hands a bit meekly, but smile at the thing, your lips closed.

It eyes you for a moment, looks out to the sea as a breeze slips by. It seems to be thinking about it...

It turns its side to you slowly with slow careful stomps in the sand that make you flinch a bit. Bringing a large leaf down, it seems to be inviting you on.

Stepping into the leaf, it brings it up suddenly so that you tumble down onto its back, almost face-planting as you catch yourself just before it's too late.

You get up, a bit dizzy,”Hey! That was mean...” You pout for a moment before you remember: This is a monster. It's not a person. It's a monster.

“Hey! Comon... Let me on!” Marine jumps up at the largest Tropius, waving and yelling at the thing to no avail. It won't budge.

Kurojo steps up to her and her little display, putting a hand on her shoulder, “Try asking nice. He won't carry you if you shout.”

Kurojo whistles up at the beast, causing it to open its eyes and look down at him. He chatters at it in his own tongue for a bit, before mimicking their cry. After a bit you start to feel the thing's reluctance in their dialogue before Kurojo gives up.
>>
“Not this one, come.” He calls Marine over. It take a bit for them to find a tropius willing to carry her and him, but they eventually get one that's willing to lend their wing.

You open a piece of your armguard to access your index, thinking about something... You should probably take pictures of this place. But you're not sure what the dome, what Silph will do if they discover the Kahkori. Boss seemed alright with the possibility but Silph's the one in charge of everything.

>[]Ask them to pass through the village so that you can take pictures.
>[]Go on ahead to the next island.
>>
>>31502566
>[]Go on ahead to the next island.

Keep it off official records for now. We'll inform Boss first, with the intention that we think he should be the first person to know of any major discoveries we make. After all, this is the first time anyone has likely encountered Aura/Wave users. He should be the one to make the decision to spread the information...or to keep it for the Rockets.
>>

>[]Go on ahead to the next island.
These guys have been good to us. I don't want to risk even a slight possibility of betraying their trust.
>>
>>31502566
>what the dome, what Silph will do if they discover the Kahkori. Boss seemed alright with the possibility but Silph's the one in charge of everything.
I figure we keep the Kahkori out of the official reports and take the info straight to the Boss.

>>[]Go on ahead to the next island.

also, can't we just take pictures of the birds and... only show it to giovanni?
>>
>>31502824
Oh sure, just from their looks alone, it's not like anyone would figure out what their abilities are or what their homes look like.
>>
>>31502848
no, I meant take pictu7res of the birds and homes. Then ONLY show giovanni.
>>
>>31502938
Oh, then no. It'd be smarter to lower the amount of physical or digital evidence. The Nar-kage armor will be hard enough to explain as is; best case scenario is just as blustering are way as fast as we can to Giovanni so that he can debrief us personally and cover up anything he thinks should be covered up.
>>
This quest looks interesting.
I'mma lurk for a bit.
>>
With everything ready, the tropius approach the beach, spreading their wings out and spreading them wide to catch the air as it picks up again. They give a labored push with their wings, and they're airborne, riding upon their two pairs of colossal wings. Tucking their legs in and aiming their heads forward in line with their tail-leaves spreading out to direct flight.

Marine screams atop her ride, while you stare down at the tropical blue waters with delighted wander as the air whips past your red hair, scattering it all around you. It feels good in your fur, though you clutch the tropius tight. You don't want to fall off.

Kurojo stands atop his, a daredevil in the face of this sort of danger, the air sends cascading ripples through his red and yellow feathers, buffeting his upraised crest as well. He spreads his arms for a moment before he starts to slide back from the push of the wind.
You see him start flailing about before dropping to his back, huffing and puffing at his near fall.

You can't help but to laugh at him. You too spread your arms, though remain seated after that near-miss.

The waves pass and wave down below as the tropius get higher and higher, making everything seem to run together.

You see some white birds, like the one you ate last week sailing higher up in the sky, riding the winds. The sun shines down brightly. You can feel the Tropius's happiness to the fact.

You check your power reserves on your index: They're running at about 78%. Which is great because you still have a spare at full charge.

You fly, undulating on the backs of these monsters for hours on end.

A look at Marine tells you that your friend's not doing well. She spent the first part of the ride screaming, finally got used to it, and now she's queasy, laying flat on the thing's back.

Departing during early noon finally puts you at the next island by the evening.
>>
>>31503393
>A look at Marine tells you that your friend's not doing well. She spent the first part of the ride screaming, finally got used to it, and now she's queasy, laying flat on the thing's back.

>>
>>31503393
So I wonder if Cerulean is just naturally predisposed to enjoying heights or if she instinctively loves it.

I wonder if Rangers implanted with Bagon grafts ever have sudden urges to throw themselves off high places.
>>
The shoreline is composed of viscious craggy rocks with white water smashing against stone.
From a birds-eye view you can see that there's tree and a great deal of green rolling plains along with a basin the the center, collecting water to be used as a watering

The sun feels a bit brighter here, hotter even, though not so much versus the Kahkori's island.

The Tropius aim directly for the watering hole, passing over everything else. As you come closer you can see that there's a small village at one end of the lake along with some kind of encampment at the other end.

The village seems to dominate the entire northern side of the watering hole complete with a pier for fishing. The buildings seem to be composed of mostly sticks and dirt as opposed to the wooden tree homes of the Kahkori.

The tropius set down some distance away, though well within sight of the village. They all take turns dipping down to sip at the water while the others keep watch.

Kurojo hops off of his, hitting ground and heading to the village. He calls back,”Tropius rest now, we go when they are ready. Come, we go to Ferri town.”

"Ferri town?" You call back in asking. A glance to Marine confirms to you that she might like some rest from travel too. You can see her starting to slip off of her topius, and you hop off of yours to catch her on the ground, falling over yourself from her fall.

You hear her suddenly start vomitting onto the ground, likely having held it in that entire time.
She grips you by the collar,"Sh-Ceru... Ceru..."

You pat her on the back, at least she didn't puke on you,"It's okay Marine, we're gonna take a break now, okay?"

"Ceru... That..."

"Come on, we're gonna follow Kurojo." You try to get up, but Marine grips you tighter, suppressing you with her formidable strength.
>>
"That... Was... FUN!" She giggles like a lunatic.

"Eh?"

"THat was fun! Come on, we flew! We were all up in the air and it was all WhooooSH! And now we're like, really far away! Ceru, that was awesome!" She laughs up into the sky before turning shades of green and puking again.

"Whatever you say Marine..." You say, slipping out from under her, being wary of her vomit.

You spray marine down with your water gun to wash her up. “H-hey! That's cold!” She whines as you open up your index and switch it to zoom mode, taking a survey of the area.

“Can't help it Marine, you know my typing.” You say, checking out the horizon. There's a lot of tall grasses around here that your index tells you should be about three feet high. Bleck, you'd be wading through with it at your chest! What the heck.

How are you supposed to see anything in there?

It's worse down around at the empty spots of the lake, it seems the Ferri village cuts back the grasses at least, though it seems to go to their roofing.

You can see a large monster that would tower over the grass sipping at the watering hole. It sports a pair of overly large horns, tusks, a hard frill along its head, clawed wings and a large tail with a club-like implement at the end. You freeze up for a moment when you forst see it through the index, terror gripping you as you realize that the index reads that this thing is around ten feet- while it's hunched over.

The Nar-Kage was about four feet at the shoulder, at least, if you remember correctly. This is a big and violent looking monster. You take a picture.

It's a long way away and doesn't seem to be interested in you or the Tropius.

Across the lake you see a colorful creature creep out of the grasses, hanging low, but coming up to its full height, towering above the grass as it hops over to the water, dipping down and swallowing water down before snapping its head around, keeping an eye out for thing. It has a sort of duck-bill thing with a red breast and shiny things on its wings.

You and Marine watch it for a bit, kind of admiring how pretty it looks with all of its colors and take a picture.
>>
Just then, the thing seems to see you despite how far away you are and runs around in a frantic circle before running back into the grass and ducking down.

You suck up some lakewater to refill your water guns. “That thing was strange,” You say as you wipe your mouth.

“I wonder what it does?” Marine mumbles.

“What?”

Marine crosses her arms, squinting an eye from the sun,” Well, monsters have a thing that they do right? Like, to get by. I just wonder what that one does.”

“Ah, right...” You nod, closing out your index. “We should record it if we find out.”

The Tropius finish drinking and spread their leaves out to enjoy the sun.

Take in a good number of sniffs of the surrounding area, try to get familiar with the various scents, and since scents last for a fair while and decay over time it could give us some more information on how many pokemon are active at different times of day, also the typing of many pokemon would influence the smell giving us a decent idea of how many fire, poison, and a couple other types there are around.

You take deep whiffs of the air, smelling for monsters that might be lingering in the area... You don't much smell anything familiar but... You can smell a predominance of Ground types, Grass types... Some electric too. You don't seem to smell anything besides that. Maybe normal? You aren't quite sure what else dominates the area.

You and Marine head for the village, Kurojo stands at the gate to a high fence, waiting for the two of you.

“Took time.” He grumbles, a little upset that you made him wait.

“I had to cleam up Marine, she kind of threw up.” You sigh, leering at Marine.

“Gross.” Kurojo seems a bit disgusted at that.

“Heh,” Marine scratches her head around her radar-fins,”Was my first time flying okay?” She thumps the cloth over her shelled chest,”I'll be better for it next time, promise.”

“Whatever.” Kurojo dismisses her, looking to you,”Ferrine shay we can use camp. Tropius fry again tomorrow... Maybe. If you want to rest, we can go to camp, or we can take a hunt from Ferrine. Choice is yours Sheru.” He scratches at a tusk, looking up and away. You can tell that he's reluctant to take a hunt... That cowardice of his surfacing again.

You tell Kurojo that you'd like to hunt and he relays that to the Ferrine by ways of loud and erratic yowls. It seems really weird coming from him, but it's soon returned by more meows.

Eventually a little side-door opens and a few little tan-white cat monsters come out, walking on their haunches like it's the normal thing to do as you and Marine kind of stare, slowly turning red with how... how... ADORABLE they are!

“Kitty.” You say unconsciously, a nickname for eevees back in the dome based on animals that they might've looked like at some pont.

One of the Ferrines peer at you with a blue eye,”Rowr?”It stares for a moment before grimacing, “Rawr rrr! Grahwr!” It points at you, throwing a fit. The others look to you and equally begin hissing, the fur on their backs raising up.

You're half tempted to throw back your own hisses as you feel the edges of your lips twitch,”What's going on? Why don't they like me?”

Kurojo communicates with one of the ones not hissing before seeming to explain something to them. Finally turning to you, “They mistook you for a Shmorodhan.”

“What's that?” You say as the hissing fits have stopped for the ferrines- and you.

“Smolodhan?” Marine says, almost to correct him.

He nods,” Bad. Shmorodhan bad. We find them at shity. Mean tribesman.”
Kurojo seems willing to drop the subject,” They say they come with us to hunt. They bring back what we hunt.”

“What are we hunting?”

“Pikachu.”

>>
>>31507110
What's the name of the Monster that flies on the ceiling and spits poison bombs at you then runs away?
IIRC it had an electric variant too.
>>
>>31507203
Gigginox is poison.
Khezu is electric.
Both are tundra oriented iirc.
>>
The three of you push through the tall grass, stalking for pikachu as quietly as possible. You've read up on these rodents before. Small, fast... electric. But they can't stand up to much damage. They should go down to some well placed shots or some hard hits.

You just don't want to get zapped.

The three ferrines follow after you three, some ways, One holds a tarp wrap up and compacted with extreme attention for maximum efficiency. It holds it like a little backpack. The other two hold long sticks with little picks at the end. You aren't really sure what they have in mind with those tools. They're going to carry the kills back?

The grasses are dry and golden as you move deeper into the golden fields and away from the ones that are so green and lush. There are many game trails running through however, beaten down by the monster life both large and small alike.
You smell roasting berries from somewhere. Now that smells good... Your mouth waters a bit.

One of the Ferrines yowls to Kurojo in the lead.
“We're getting near to where the Pikachu rest.”

He pauses, and parts a veil of golden wheat,” Sh.” He points through, revealing a few of them roasting berries by a tree. They seem quite distracted with what they're doing, though they're like to scatter should the need arise. You can sense as many as three right now.

Though earlier Kurojo said that the plan was to try rooting out their nest if possible.

You really should word your options better. The third one seemed like we'd just kill one and finish there.

Use water gun to scare them. Soak them so that they have a harder time firing their electric attacks. I don't think they'll be hurt by it, but the water will conduct some of the energy and siphon the strength of their attacks.

You decide that it should be best to spook the little critters as you keep a keen eye on one, carefully locking onto it with your vision.

Kurojo waits for the right moment to break out into this little clearing. Whether he knew you were locked on, or it was the most silent and perfect time to spook them.. You aren't quite sure but the things run when he comes in with a warbling war-cry, drawing his side and slashing at them like a madman, purposely missing so that they dash, darting in every which direction.

You and Marine quickly book it, as you keep your eyes trained on the one you picked out. The one with a heart-shaped tail. The fact that they went and ran almost makes you want to laugh seeing as they could've easily chosen to shock Kurojo.

The bird catches up to the two of you as the pikachu zips around through the grasses, with preference to the trails. There's a moment where it jumps off of a ledge and you're about to follow it when you're pulled back by Kurojo as he brings you and Marine to the dirt.

There's suddenly a loud “CHUUUU!” and the incoherent honking of an unseen monster as something thrashes, a burst and glow of flame from the wheats before the colorful thing from before flies off, half unsteady from residual paralysis.

Kurojo taps your shoulder for you to go, and jumps on ahead as you and Marine leap off of the edge, tailing the residual signature of the pikachu. You douse some burning wheat with a quick spray. Don't want that to spread after all.

The chase across plains of short grasses with some other monsters taking a very passive glance at your pursuit. Some great armored beasts tromp on by in a small herd, unphased by your presence.
>>
>>31508024
Electricity doesn't work like that, it would just go around the armor.

We would have to be entirely encased, or entirely encased on the areas we're hit in, for that to work.
>>
Their size and wonder cause you to look on in wonder, almost smiling beside yourself. This is actually really fun! You can see that Marine is grinning like an idiot too.

The chase eventually leads to a gnarled bush of brambles that the pikachu disappears under after a little discharge to make the brambles move themselves out of the way.

As you near you can tell that this isn't unlike that thing you dealt with before.

“Hold on a sec.” You say as you open up the arm-plate and take a picture of the thorn-monster. “What should we name it?”

Marine sneers at the thing, recognizing it instantly and why you're taking a picture of it, “It's like tangela right? How about Brambela?”

“Works for me.” You punch in the name as Kurojo supervises, interested in what you're doing with the index. You explain it to him. How it's like a book that keeps track of monsters. He seems intrigued, but now more interested in taking down the monstrous brush.

The Felynes catch up just as you finish up, and they see you put your index away, securing it behind your armor-plate.

Kurojo steps forward, sword drawn, and takes a deep breath before dashing forward, cleaving off a good portion of the brambela.before it retreats a bit, releasing a cloud of spores that Kurojo forcibly dodges, looking a bit drained as he does so.

The things' body begins to reform, growing back nearly as quick as it was cut.

Looks like this isn't a job for him. Damn things grow too quick.

Under the bright sun you close your eyes as you focus against the heat working on bringing the temperature down before sending out your chilling gust of air to nip at and drive off this irritating bush.

Your chill frosts over the plant-blood that was spread, and reaches the reforming vines, chilling them over despite the heat. You press it harder to ensure its effect and the thing uproots itself to scramble away on little wooden feet, hissing as it sets off for a place notably less cold.

You chuckle to yourself a bit at how ridiculous it looks scrambling away.

With its departure you've got a clear shot down at that pikachu burrow.

The Ferrines step up, and gather around, looking down into the hole with hunger in their eyes. They beckon you over, mow-ing as they do. “They want us to get the mice. They feed us after and give hot bath.”

You and Marine stare at Kurojo like lunatics for a moment at the word pair “Hot Bath” that you hadn't known still exists out here in this neck of the world.

“Hot?” You taste the word upon almost purring lips.

“Bath?” Marine breathes it out like a breath of heaven.

With a delightfully grim resolve, you and Marine walk up to the burrow and work out an idea for getting the critters on out.

You decide to have Kurojo take care of cleanup while you and Marine do the hardwork.

You unleash a powered up Icy wind down the hole while letting your bladders drain out with Marine's, flooding the Pikachu tunnels with a sizable amount of freezing cold water that slowly ices over.

Kurojo's fists fly as he wails on the pikachu that attempt escape, knocking them out as they flee from other contingency holes. He's soon joined by the Ferrines doing their own part in beating the ever breathing life out of the pikachu with their sticks, knocking their heads in with the picks.
The Ferrines are faster than you'd credit them for. Then again, so are you.

Some sparks fly out of the water at some point, surprising you and Marine some as you wait for the cold water to drain out.

Must've been the last throes from one of the rats.

Once clear, the felynes explore the tunnel, dragging up pikachu after pikachu and mowing their approval towards you. You try to mowl back a thank you but the cat just rolls its eyes at you.
“Eh?”

They throw out the tarp and strap the sticks onto it as they load up pikachu, just one after the others as you stare at the raw morsels, wiping your mouth.

You're so hungry.

The Ferrines drag the pikachu back, running on ahead of you with all the corpses rolled up like a weedle in a kukuna.

It doesn't take long for you to catch up to the speedy little cats as they pass through the gates of their village, slamming shut behind them and before you.

The cat sentry comes up, and looks down at you with a wary eye, mowling back down to the three of you. You can sense how wary he is about letting you in, his eyes specifically on you.

You hear another mowl from beyond and the guard gives you one last look before opening the gate, letting you enter Ferrie village.

Inside all the houses are tiny, fitting of all the little cat people.

The houses are mostly made of what looks lik sticks, grasses and some kind of clay. You can see the evidence of some of them pulling up the material from the lakeside, washing off their paws from the muddiness.

The three of you are directed by a little ferrine guide from the group that you were with that dismisses some of the other ferrines that see you an immediately start hissing.

The guide mows a bit and Kurojo translates,” They think you are a Smordoran...”

“Why do they all think that? What is that?”

“Another peopre.”Kurojo seems to cringe, he's really been trying to avoid “l” words lately.
“Mean, and enjoy hurting. You see in shity.”

You're led to a commons room where a good deal of Ferrines are chilling out and grooming themselves and each other. It seems like this is the only place big enough to fit guests though so.. that's a thing.

Kurojo speaks to the guide about something and a bit later you're all standing in front of a large clay basin with a fire fed from underneath to warm the water...

Time to decide on turn order.

After explaining to Kurojo the game of rock-paper-scissors, he seems to link it to a game that he already knows of and agrees to play.

A bit too eagerly you'd think.

The three of you throw and you're all holding rock.

A second time and it's all scissors.

A third and it's back to all rocks- no! Marine's out.

You and Kurojo showdown between the two of you, back and forth in a contest of ties until neither of you can take it anymore.

“We're both cheating with aura, aren't we?”

“Yep,” Kurojo admits soundly, moving his fist for no reason.

You look up at the bath, the steam's stopped pouring off of it for the glorious first dip- sweet sting.

“Um. Alright. Why don't we just take a bath together then?” You blush a bit at that, realizing that this'd be a first compared to showering with girls in the rocket dorms. You even did it more often in your own quarters.

You took off your armor and CGS before getting in the bath.

The two of you dip into the large basin and you look away from the young bird. You almost can't believe tat you're doing this. But.. Jojo doesn't really wear any clothes, does he?
Why is this so weird then?

Kurogo washes his feathers, running his hands backwards against them to agitate and lather what ferrine call soap.

You soon follow suit, caring for your fur in quite a similar way. You blush and jump whenever the two of you bump each other in the narrow bath. It's just so weird and you don't want to look...

“I wash your back, Sheru?” you hear from behind you, not a touch on your back.

“Huh? Uh. I can do it myself.” You start reaching, straining to get at some parts.

“Are you sure?”

Well, it is hard...

While at the same time, leaving out any humanlikes.

You turn around more fully to give Kurojo access to your back, moving your hair out of the way. “I'm sorry if I'm a little cold.” You say, as you've been trying to hold back the natural chill of your body. Didn't want to make the water too cold.

“It is fine Sheru. I am used to it.” He says as he places his hands upon your back, causing your spine to arc a little to the touch. This gives him pause,”Sheru?”

“Ah, it's fine, sorry. I just... I haven't really done this a lot.” You stutter out with some embarassment, sinking into the water a little bit. It's not that it hurts or anything. It just surprised you is all. It actually feels a bit nice to be touched like this.

“Sheru?” He taps your head, and you can feel his slight confusion.

You slide back out, exposing your back to him again,”Ah, sorry. I didn't mean to. Go ahead.”

You feel his hands work your back, sending subtle waves for deeper tissue messages that make you melt like butter in his hands. His ministrations around your shoulder blades and along your spine feel so good that you don't ever really ask him to stop, nearly drooling even.

By the time he's done, he's worked out stress in your back that you hadn't even known you had. Your eyes heavy-lidded, you could just about fall asleep.

Kurojo turns his back to you,”Sheru, do me now?”
