Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn managed to convince you that the threat posed by renegade Quixos is so great, that no cost is too great in order to stop him. However the only lead to the mysterious heretic is Grey Knight Deiron, who is currently being held on Inquisitorial prison moon of Nobis. Your elite strike team infiltrated the facility and you have managed to retreve your weapons. And now you are going for the primary objective...

Hey, Farn! I am terribly sorry about last night, we'll try to catch up today.
+++
The entrance into the Low Security wing is blocked by a massive gate, you notice that it's controls are located in a small gatehouse by the side of the tunnel. On both sides of the road there are entrenched autocannon teams, each consists of 3 men. There are 12 more guardsmen protecting the gate, they wouldn't be much of a threat, however you notice specific uniform of their commander - it seems that he's one of the Inquisitorial Stormtroopers. You think he's armed with a meltagun, but aren't sure because he's standing inside the gatehouse. The gate to the LowSec at the moment is half-closed(3m entrance), you could fit through there with your bike. Will you try to rush through their defences before they can set themselves up or will you stop the Chimera, unload your men and try to storm the gate? Or maybe you'd prefer an armoured assault?
+++
Your krak missiles fly to their targets, first one finds its mark and immolates the first autocannon team, however second one hits the low hanging pipe and vaporises it and some sort of steam starts pouring into the hall. As you ride through it you get disoriented for a moment and you must roll a drive test to regain control of the Darkhawk(+0). Meanwhile the second autocannon fires at the approaching Chimera and empties almost a full magazine at it's frontal armour, hitting the autocannon and destroying it.

Please roll d100 for your driving skill.

================
Not only do you manage to maneuver Darkhawk through the steam without any problems, but you also ride straight towards the enemy positions and unload your mounted stormbolter at the guards, forcing them to seek cover. There still are two serious threats for the Chimera - Stormtrooper with the meltagun inside the gatehouse and the autocannon emplacement. Without a thought, you choose the more dangerous of the two and drive your attack bike towards the gatehouse, preparing to ram it. The weak structure stands no chance against 2 tonnes of steel, adamantium and Astartes flying straight at it at over 200kmph. You drive through the gatehouse like a hot knife through butter, crushing everyone inside and destabilising it enough so that the building topples on itself once you exit it through the back wall. You fire another two Krak rockets at the remains of the enemy, destroying the autocannon nest and killing the last squad of guards. Argos contacts you over the vox:
>By the Emperor, that was IMPRESSIVE! We got hit, it seems our autocannon is out of action for now. It seems the way is clear for us towards the prison cells... Shall we begin the prison riot?
+++
As you enter the LowSec wing, you notice thousands of doors on both sides of the tunnel, a total of 4 floors. You know from the briefing that while most of the prisoners that Inquisition apprehends are executed, quite often it's not useful to do so, especially when prisoners are vital to the ongoing investigations or simply are too well connected or too important to be executed. These halls are filled with people arrested for such minor offences as using Eldar-made jewelry or trying to summon the spirit of loved one who died. However there is also a significant number of violent offenders and heretics who have been kept alive to be later used for servitorisation process or as possible sources of information. What are you going to do?

Your marines break into the internal LowSec wing guard control tower and open about 400 cells, most of those have up to 10 prisoners in them. However to make sure no one else escapes, they destroy the controls, this means that other cells will be possible to be opened only by brute force - this should by the Inquisitorial guards some time to contain the rebellion. If you want to address the freed prisoners, please roll Leadership(+30), they will be very easy to influence after you gave them their freedom.

It seems that during the battle one of the numerous lasbolts damaged the voice imitator in your helmet, rendering you effectively mute while you are wearing a helmet. To address the prisoners better you took off your helmet and climbed on top of a table. While your words have inspired courage in their ranks, neither you, nor your men noticed one prisoner among many, who watched at you with his mouth wide open. He was shocked beyond any words - the prisoner never hoped to see your face again... And now that he did, an evil smile appeared on his face. At last, he will have a chance to have his revenge. Dresos Kand turned around and disappeared in the crowd.

The High Security wing is quite far away, however the fact that you are now in a Chimera and with an attack bike helps you to cover that distance quickly. The guards along the way offer you no significant resistance, and very soon you reach the outer gates of the most secure place in the whole system. The gates seem to be unlocked, but they are closed. Argos voices the thing that seems to be bothering everyone in your team:
>Behind these gates there is most likely an ambush. The riot we created will buy us time, but the units are guarding this facility are expecting us coming this way. How shall we do this?
Possible extra options:
1. Roll Repair(+0) skill to open up the under-tunnel maintenance tunnels that are big enough even for marines to pass underneath the gates
2. Roll Tech-Use(+10) skill to hack the cameras inside the HighSec to see whether anyone is waiting for you behind the door.

================
You quickly type the prayers of machine veneration into the cogitator on the wall by the gate and as minor machine spirit opens itself to you, your team gets access to camera feed from inside the facility. Argos was right, inside there are guards waiting to ambush you. They have parked three Chimeras behind each other across the tunnel, blocking it completely. There are around 40 guards and 20 stormtroopers hiding behind them. They have a few meltaguns and some grenade launchers. The Chimeras are armed with a heavy Flamer, Autocannon and a Multilaser. Also, you notice that behind them there is a figure that commands them... A figure in light power armour and Inquisitorial seal on it's armour. That person is surrounded by a retinue, however as they are standing at a bad angle for the camera to show them to you. Apothecary Lakentos speaks his mind:
>Inquisitor might not be a strong opponent in a physical sense, but I sure as hell am more afraid of that single Inquisitor than of all the others that are waiting out there. They always have a trick up their sleeve. Also, it feels somehow wrong to fight him... He is after all a servant of the Emperor and a lot more important than common guards. What shall we do?

Unfortunately prisoners have went the other way, towards the Inquisitorial Palace, but if you would get back and somehow convince them to come this way... We'll it would be hard, would take between 2-6 hours but could be possible. On the other hand if you leave this gate now, by then the forces defending it could triple. That indicates a suggestion in the heat of the moment that could have went unheard. You had more things to worry about at the moment. The plan:
We send one of our brothers to sneak through the ventilations to the other side. This will allow us to have better image of what forces are inside giving us more precise plan of attack.
Then the marine inside will create a distraction leading the inquisitor into thinking we are all trying to sneak through.
When the inquisitor leaves with his guards to "stop us" we break through the gate, pick up the marine and dart off. All without fighting the servant of the emperor.

So again we're back to 'No way to not-engage the Inquisitor'.

Fuck it lets just attack.

Void Squad should dismount and follow the Chimera in on foot, using it as cover. Fill the Chimera with the looted lasgun power packs and set them to explode.

Set the Chimera on course with the enemy autocannon Chimera (biggest threat) and jam down the accelerator, then as the chimera roars forwards and explodes, void squad takes advantage of the confusion and starts pouring on the hurt.

Meanwhile we cand do aforementioned Evil Knievel shit with the bike or whatever.
>>
>>31498098
Also could try eliminating the lights or climbing up to that sniper spot and throwing the power packs from there.
>>
Can't we talk our way out of it? For example tell the Inquisitor that we should escort a dangerous prisoner out this wing of because of the riot that wants to set hi/her/it free. In an Inq prison half of the people have secrets they don't tell the other half, and with power armour and chimera we look halfway official?
>>
Quick reminder of Our sword IronHaunts abilities
>Electromagnetic Strike - Ironhaunt can be activated to release a surge of electricity with a strike, it is powerful enough to fry any technological enemy or power armour and to electrocute almost any organic thing.
>Overcharge - Ironhaunt can be used as a conduit to release arches of lightning, electrocuting groups of enemies at once. However this ability should not be used lightly - it can be dangerous to the user and requires a lot of energy.
>EMP field - Ironhaunt emanates low frequency electromagnetic pulses that disrupt processes within non-shielded electronics in the vicinity. Powerful enough to deny enemy use of complex ranged weapons, communications and to give mechanical enemies(like Men of Iron) -10 penalty to actions they take. Constantly drains power.

Idea.

We jump completely over the enemies on Darkhawk and completely bypass them, roaring top speed down the nearest corridor leading to HighSec away from the entrance area. Take a few melta bombs for breaking Deiron out and blowing a hole in the side of the complex to escape (get Deiron to go into suspended animation to survive the vacuum).

MEANWHILE. Void Squad, in order to stop the forces guarding HighSec coming after us, use explosives to blow a hole in the side of the base and exposing the entrance of HighSec to hard vacuum. Then they cheese-it in the Chimera and wait for us behind a crater. This will also either suck the defenders into space or trigger an automatic lockdown of the area to prevent atmospheric venting. Either way it screws them over.

What do we think?

Okay so it turns out we're deep underground so the whole 'going outside' thing is kaput.

How about we attach the lasgun chargepacks to the outside of the Chimera, make it trundle towards the centre enemy chimera and kablooie when it hits. Then we take advantage of the confusion to charge in and kill them.

Thoughts
>>
>>31501058
Also set a fire inside the Chimera.
The enemy will be super confused by the lone smoking Chimera with friendly markings coming through the gate towards them.

While you are not keen on parting with your Chimera, this is the only way that you see this plan working. You use all two dozens of lasgun packs that you have to plant them on the Chimeras frontal armour and connected with wire to the comms receiver. You then open the gate and send it towards the enemy line. Inquisitorial guards have clearly not expected one of their own Chimeras to appear out of nowhere, speeding at them. When a few of them get their wits together and start firing - it's too late, your Chimera slams with full force into the middle of the enemy barricade and just at that same moment Sergeant Argos voxes your Chimera, activating all of the charges. Explosion is so strong that a cascade of dust and rock splinters fall down from the ceilings. Void Squad charges disoriented enemy with you leading the attack on the Darkhawk. Will you:
>Attempt to break through the enemy(no contest, enemy is disorganised)
>Attempt to engage and subdue the Inquisitor(personal duel, roll d100)
>Attempt to eliminate all of the guards(roll d100 for combat)

Break through the enemy line and do a cinematic tier leap to engage the Inquisitor in single combat. With a punch to the face.

Have Darkhawk's autopilot turn around and engage the rear armor of the chimeras with storm bolters. Or have the passenger swap places with us and do so.

Bolters should tear into chimera rear armor easily.

You soon find him among the smoke and dead bodies, Inquisitor is still shocked by the explosion, but by the time you stop your bike and jump off he's already attacking you with a speed that you wouldn't expect from a mortal. He does his best, striking and slashing at you with his power sword, but despite all of his efforts he is still no more of a threat to you than a novice fresh from Mormark. You almost lazily beat back his attacks and half-heartedly punch him in the chest, pushing all air out of his lungs. Inquisitor is down on his knees, unable to continue his fight, what shall you do?
>Cut off his legs, Inquisition will supply him with good prosthetics

Inquisitor is now knocked out and being carried with you by one of the marines as a hostage.
>>31502140
HighSec Wing is not a simple prison with neat cells and clear planning, what you have here is more of a labyrinth with numerous different types of cells and holding pens. You spend around half an hour just searching for Deinors cell, in that time you find these prisoners:
>Orks for laboratory testing: 211 specimen
>Kariador the Marauder in a max security containment tank
>Dormant Rubric Marine held in a warded pentagram
>3 Red Giants - Krymor, Donerg and Rostovar
>Dark Eldar troupe(11 members) captured after encounter with the Sisters of the Bloody Tears Order
>Anander of Templos, Alpha+ level Psyker who believes that he is a prophet of the Emperor
>New alien species coming from Segmentum Ultima, recently captured in Sector Deus by Deathwatch - 5 members of Tau race
>34 Tarelian dog-soldiers, held for questioning about their mercenary activities in the sector
>Kallaganus Rheim, former Grand General of the Styrian Triarchy, captured and held for interrogation
>Nameless Harlequin, surrendered without any fight for unknown reasons close to Athena Prime
>All consuming xeno-stone from Attero, held in magnetic levitation
>8 Gnars from Mormark supplied by mysterious operatives
(these are not all prisoners that are held here)
After all of these you finally find entrance to the tunnel that leads to Deirons cell... But you feel that something is very wrong. The door is no locked. Do you do anything with other prisoners or do you go straight to Deiron?
>>
>>31502613
You know, if we release some of the orks, more confusion will be caused and it might be possible to hold off reinforcements for a while.

Only in these mon-keigh walls did I realise that the song that led me was sung the One Who Laughs in order to give me purpose and role to play on this stage that we call life. If you would free me, oh blood-drinking-one, I would follow you until the song changes or the play ends, but that would mean that through my person you would be inviting Him back into your sphere of creation. I feel strings that show your fall and salvation that were in great part done for His amusement, but this time you are not desperate and there are no tricks to be played on your mortal soul, it's your choice which path you choose.
