Greetings elegan/tg/entlemen and welcome to a new page of this quest. Daiyu Jawahir liked to believe old age brought factual experiences, especially if one were to live without shying away from conflicts; more than a few warriors and soldiers tend to talk about some kind of hidden ‘’sixth sense’’ with dangers which was, in her opinion, merely senses honed to an extreme fueled by constant paranoia from getting hurt and keeping comrades safe. A perfectly reasonable belief given the total absence of this phenomenon from her long life, be it before claiming her title, or after. Perhaps now she’ll be forced to change her mind.Keeping a foreign corrupted, malignant entity inside a single limb of any individual isn’t an easy task by any stretch even for the liege lord of monsters, in fact being the great queen isn’t a one way ticket to masterful competence of this art but so far she managed to keep the disease from poisoning the knight soul all at once, only allowing small dribble to affect her, with the help of the holy swordsman the mortal soul of Athena had every chance to resist on its own… for a while at least, which is why the magical strike was, without doubt, a perfect sneak attack that –should- have killed Zechariah. Only a rare few times did she witness such pure, raw magical murder channeling into a single projectile, yet she was concentrating on the lizard knight along with Zechariah, both in deep, deep concentration standing side by side, Holy and Corruption kept in harmony inside a body, she felt a strange surreal sense of déjà vue which somehow light a fire of panic, which grew uncontrollable after feeling harsh jolt inside her forehead.«Duck!»Golden words made her jump to save the lad beside her, next the crystal spell rammed into the bookcases and speared through the entire row and crashed into the wall, distance having shed most of its consistency, the result was a large splash akin to slime as it met the thick stones, forever marking and warping them into shiny, magical minerals.
‘’The hell!?’’Of course Zechariah would be surprised and likely upset to boot given the close proximity; Daiyu knew very well about his history in the war thirty years ago and as such, quickly led him go while flapping the wings at her hips, trying her best to recoup the lost grace of such a crude fall.‘’…!’’A strangled gasp came from Tsukiyomi-no-Mikoto, quickly joined by her daughter while the extremely stubborn angel bleeding all over her armor tried to crawl closer despite her fatigue, everyone was obviously flabbergasted at this sudden aggression but most of all; the spell itself had enough potency to make the old, powerful womanly masters present quakes in their boots. ‘’…It’ll be safer to keep a distance from now on’’She said with reluctance, biting her lisps; however the lad beside her held his holy sword in a line, shaking his head."Screw that! I'm not gonna sit back and watch as yet another person dies!"‘’Nobody said anything about death’’Her response was curt as she forcefully pulled the man upward, she braced for some kind of angry retort or shove, yet Zechariah simply uttered a gruff’’ thank’’ while turning toward Tsukiyomi.‘’Is it impossible for the ritual to continue after another consciousness is present?’’‘’Yep, and now…’’As her rival provide an answer and she, in turn, took the reign of the dialogue the sleeping male let out a grunt and immediately afterward another crystallised spear shot out straight ahead, nearly smashing through the roof of the manor.‘’…we’ll have to keep people out’’What could be going on inside this shared world of theirs? Once the door of the library was victim of a large «thunk» however, she was forced to shift her attention elsewhere.--
Perforated heart, decapitation, blood loss, ripping apart its jaw, bisection of the knees…Thirty two deaths. You’ve vanquished your foe thirty two times while suffering two defeats, the first one had Eshan make a single minded charge while throwing a warped piece of its own body like a javelin; a magnificent throw that landed right in your throat as you notched two arrows at once, your feet had been encased in crystals, preventing movements due to standing your ground for too long. The second one had the fight move in the incomplete part of the memories resulting in a labyrinthine set of hallways, an ambush and a thrust at your heart and that was that, thankfully you swing your short bow and decapitated the fool. There’s one thing you’ve come to understand very, very well from this self-destructive unending struggle; dying hurts a lot. Even if you’ve gained back the upper hand the lingering effect of your two losses created a constant throbbing that’d spread throughout most of your upper body like a shockwave to settle around the lower part of your abdomen, thankfully it isn’t enough to ruin the concentration needed for your shots. You’ve long since abandoned all prospect of dialogues or reason with your foes that, by now, looked nothing like the graceful Eshan fighting on despite the tragedy of defeat; the feminine lizardwoman shape shifted into a dark humanoid stature without identifications. Two arms, two hands, two feet, oftentimes morphing into weapons seeking to tear apart some walls but, given the absolute presence that was the little Athena observing this stubborn battle, it instead practiced self-mutilation and threw part of its body to try and close in for the kill, unfortunately…‘’Graaaaah!!’’
A muffled humid scream erupted from its absent mouth as dark fluids spewed out after a quarter of its flanks came flying out from the acid filled, spinning spike that exited your bow; the ammo already disappeared before causing needless collateral. Your index, thumb and major of your main hand had started to crystallises while half the palm holding your bow horizontally caught this strange disease, obvious warnings that you won’t be able to keep this up forever despite the joy of torturing this stubborn fool; you don’t know if you’d be able to endure that many losses and pain, but…As your next shot perforate its throat and decapitate it, your foot step into the disgusting slimy dark tar that had been diligently working to corrupt the memory, the near entirety of the amazons sported sickening blisters ripe with pus while blood slowly flowed out of their eyes, noses and mouths; even so they stood diligent and proud, frozen in time.‘Your previous experience told you that you fare much, much better in an open field against this tenacious foe that, by now, fled back into the barely constructed corridors to break your line of sight.‘’Phew…’’
You’ve finally earned a few moments of peace in this strange world, you turned toward the adorable, tiny lizard peeking from behind the wooden, flaming throne and you couldn’t resist a wink before concentrating on the tar spreading its disease, slowly eroding the nature of this precious memory. You don’t know what you’ve sacrificed to gain such tremendous, overwhelming strength but you understand very well that you can’t go on for much longer given the slight transformations of your fingers, as suck if you want to make things right…>Try to ‘’eat’’ the nexus of corruption as fast as possible>Spread the ‘’crystal’’ of your soul into this nucleus, perhaps your soul is a vaccine?>Hail the master of this soul, Athena; can she vanquish it by herself? Could she only need guidance?>Something else?
>>31477061>Hail the master of this soul, Athena; can she vanquish it by herself? Could she only need guidance?
>>31477211Thank for showing up so early, I'll try to wait a little longer for more inputs before proceeding.
>>31477061When our foot, encased in crystal, stepped into the tar of corruption, did it react in any way? Did we feel anything in our soul react?
>>31477061>>Hail the master of this soul, Athena; can she vanquish it by herself? Could she only need guidance?
>>31477336Nothing at all, you'll likely need to concentrate on that nucleus since you've been focusing on keeping your foe busy.Look like the option for Athena has been chosen.
>>31477498That option includes the potential for us to help her out right? I mean, we do have a link with her, it should be possible.
Your tar coated foot slide gently on the stony ground as you take a few steps away from the corrupted amazons; the visions of their strong stances warped by this corruption is a strangely hard thing to bear and instead you settle yourself a few paces away while relaxing your stance, allowing your right arm to quit the transparent rope of your short bow as you extend your arm outward while a brilliant powdery substances slowly fall off your transformed fingers, the fact that you’ve started to look directly toward her make the little girl gaps in restrained panic, her hand obviously grasp the wooden throne with twice her previous strength as her eyes… her brown eyes lock onto yours while her breathing quicken, slowly coloring her entire face red.‘’Easy, easy, Athena’’‘’Eh?’’Her response is understandable, after all in this memory she has no idea who Siegfried Shieffer is and when the creature you’ve fought a few seconds ago start bellowing in a concert of voices, she has every right to jump behind the large seat and disappear from your view. You won’t have a second chance to talk to her; as the young master of her soul you NEED to instil some form of courage or understanding, this memory revolve around her mother, unfortunately the continuity was altered and you don’t have long before the disease overtake this precious, one last memory of her sole remaining parent. Hasn’t Athena told you how she was has a kid?>Provoke her into action, anger ought to be strong enough emotions to expulse the beast… and you.>Appeal to her sense of duty; she’s the young princess of the Pàla clan, something her mother must have instilled in her young mind.>Try to make her remember who you are? Calm, collected remembrance of your journey so far?>Something else?[You can also try to make up your own dialogue, as for reaching through the link you can’t seem to act upon it]
>>31478240>>Try to make her remember who you are? Calm, collected remembrance of your journey so far?How Siggy chained you up to feed us.
>>31478311You wish to focus on one peculiar event?
>>31478336Well I just thought it was funny, also the fact you were willing to have your husband fed to winged harpies. You know that tails are all the rage. Well how about the constant tail rubbing scenes?
>>31478240>Appeal to her sense of duty; she’s the young princess of the Pàla clan, something her mother must have instilled in her young mind.Minwee used her sense of duty as well to get Athena to fight for her survival. It's also what partially motivated her to betrayal, if I remember correctly.
>>31478240>>Appeal to her sense of duty; she’s the young princess of the Pàla clan, something her mother must have instilled in her young mind.
>>31478394I don't seem to recall an event where we were in danger of being eaten by harpies...
>>31478394Are you intentionally sabotaging our efforts here, or are you just lolsorandumb as makes no difference?
>>31478495Yeah, I'm stumped on that part as well. I know we did some serious mind flexing to save two eggs.Appeal to duty it is, also sorry if my writting is lackluster, I hope I'm still entertaining you guys.Do you guys wish to write the dialgoe, a peice of it or leave it up to Siggy?
>>31478495Slyphis and Athena were thinking of abandoning Siggy to Angel of Love, Demon Lord, and Bodyguard since they couldn't decide on best wings.>>31478532I was mostly joking. If i was serious I would have put in the "input' option.Sorry, If it was ill delivered
>>31478532At this point I've just taken to not reading other player posts if I can't make heads or tails of the first sentence. You should probably ignore his posts as well.
>>31478625>Sorry, If it was ill deliveredThere's no "if" about it; the delivery and execution were terrible, and the material was sub-par.
>>31478727Again, I'm sorry.I wasn't serious.
>>31478625>>31478751Heh, usually it's me who's on that guys nerves. Don't worry about it dude, he's like that.
>>31478894Ignore this idiot. Proper humor requires proper timing and delivery, which any decent comedian could tell you requires a lot of work and practice. The fact that 3 different people didn't see the humor in your joke proves that it failed and that you need to work on it.This guy, by saying "don't worry about it", is doing you a disservice by telling you to ignore criticism and not to bother attempting to improve.
Canadian rival when?
>>31478996Umm,Humor doesn't translate well over the internet doesn't it?
>>31479098Humor that's dependent on tone of voice and body language don't, but there's still written humor so it's not like it's impossible. And in a message board format such as this, delivery is dependent on your writing skills, and there still has to be a punchline. As well, providing context is still important for both live performances and written comedy.
>>31479098There's also the point that if a joke falls flat because it was completely dependent on tone of voice and body language, it wasn't a good joke in the first place. Here's some reference material:http://www.jimrichardson.com/write.shtmlhttp://www.thecomedyinstitute.com/mastering-stand-up/http://www.standupclasses.com/anatomy-of-a-joke/http://www.realfirststeps.com/1162/difference-comedy-speeches-standup-comedy/Being funny is serious business.
Sorry for taking a while, I'm doing as fast as I can.
>>31476954Who's best girl?
‘’Don’t hide, Princess!’’Your sudden scream is met with an adorable high pitched yelp, you can just picture the poor little one cowering with her hands resting on her head; if you were in her boots you’d think of this as a nightmare and will it away, however she’s obviously not doing that.‘’Athena! Your mother hasn’t brought you up as a coward, now stop dishonoring your clan and birthright! Look! Look at me! You have a duty to accomplish’’Your voice reverberate in the grand empty hall of this tropical, simple throne room; a potent sentiment of guilt and resentment force a grimace on your features before the Beast interruption, that lunatic has unleashed another beastly scream that seem to have come from about three head at a minimum as it melded into an incoherent gargle of animalistic rage somehow being drowned underwater. Yet the little knight truly possess a heart of steel, she peeked around the throne once more despite the brilliant tears crawling down her cheeks, her scaly tail slapped the ground constantly as you felt a strange jolt in your entire body, momentarily forcing you in silence as you swallow rising nausea.‘’As the last remaining Pàla and daughter to your chieftain, it is your duty to witness the gallant demise of your mother no matter how much you wish otherwise’’You can’t bear to look at her face, whatever emotions traveling inside her vulnerable tiny body would shatter the defences of your heart, and instead you whirl around to let loose another one of your fine, fine arrow before properly identifying the presence of your rival.!
Whatever remained of Eshan Pàla has been warped into a monstrous blob full of eyes, teeth and dark slime somehow kept together in a humanoid form, «he» or «she» had no identifying trait save for countless eyes emerging into the surface of its hips, shoulders or big, bulky arms while mouth full of uneven, yellowish teeth would open and smacks together constantly, spewing its dark corrupted saliva onto the soil while circular feet created nucleus after nucleus each time they stepped forward; your glorious spinning arrow which killed one of the defiled met the middle of its torso and was unceremoniously broken apart once an oversized mouth smacked this ‘’Caladbolg’’ like a mere icicle.…it has finally sacrificed something of worth. You immediately created some distance, unleashing a wave of crystal behind you to slide on the bulkiness of your foe was a mere mirage to its prodigious speed but it’s mouth bellowed once more like a giant underwater creature, vomiting balls and liquids of corruptions in your direction, a peculiar splash land on your path of retreat and you jump while firing three shots, ripping apart its upper shoulder yet one of its disgusting balls lands directing on your foot and immediately eat through the boots, skin and bones, liquefying your limb at speed beyond comprehension; next the entity vomit some liquid dark directly on your torso, eating through your heart as it grabs your head and squish it.You don’t hear the disgusting sound of overripe fruits and bone ripping through meat; your weapon lose its consistency as your consciousness shut down while the rest of your limbs are eaten, consumed, pulverized and then reborn out of sheer stubbornness. It hurt, mother.>Endure. >>31480441I was late to the party.
>>31480428Not like we can't as a last ditch effort, we've already munched on a good chunk of his happy childhood memories. Bet he finds out when he reads that letter. He'll be like "who was that exactly?" and "That never happened"We do have 2 other fuckers who will probably take soul blasts to bring down without casualties. It's a finite resource, gotta ration that shit so we have it when we need it.I do wonder what our squatter gave up, unlike us he doesn't have much to offer up. Not many memories of its own so maybe, hopefully, he sacrificed a capability. A memory of how to do something he would find useful.
>>31480763You do have plenty of memories from this journey
>>31480872Sleepover works fine?
Your memories are treasures and, without a doubt yours alone to do as you see fit; which is why you’ll keep them, you cannot banish and he, in turn, cannot do the same.[+++]Before the scaled knight set out to meet the judgement of her people, she was a warrior seeking a ‘’beautiful death’’ ready to face grim judgement for her sin; you can’t remember if it was painful but warmth, that’s what surround this moment even if you slapped her, the image of a certain memento filled your mind, obfuscating the maddening pain.[+++]How can one truly describe this gory display? A soul cannot die easily, the bulky silhouette of the Beast had you in its arms, holding onto your shoulders and pressing down hard enough to break the bones and jut them out of your skin; a mouth appeared around its tight to gobble up half your hand, chewing through meats and resistances, ripping it apart in a simple smack as half your palm and four fingers disappear as sustenance. Your left kidney is pulled out by a long appendage snaking around your torso full of torn, more than sharp enough to leave bloody imprints. Half your jaw is broken as a large knife-like, acid dripping corrupted appendage pierce your cheeks, suddenly expanding.Yet everything is back where it belong in the time of a blink; for such is the sheer stubbornness of souls yet the pain is enough to madden anyone for ever fractures, ever ruptured organs, every decapitations, every loss of limbs… is paid fully; the mind cannot process it but, bit by bit, the soul weaken.[+++]
The ending to the contest of wings and pillow fight might have been dramatic if it weren’t for a sudden kiss; the teasing that came after ward had the knight flee the room with a thoroughly reddened face as you stood there stunned and joyous, parking emotions you’ve kept underground after first rejection back in that forest afore your betrayal. My, how awkward indeed yet bold of the amazon to interrupt incoming torture with such a deep, deep kiss you’ve yet to repay the attempted treachery of this night as well’’[+++]‘’Kehehehehehe’’You heard has been pulled out and eaten yet your broken jaw clench as you laugh while your monstrous foes stay there, stunned as your most of your hands beside your morphed fingers melt to its skin while you pull apart its throat, creating a gaping wounds spitting out dark juices landing on your face, already disfiguring half your features an melting an eye; behind it a little girl had snuck up to the main nucleus and was now elbow deep, pulling out its heavy mass.‘’Indulge some more’’As your foe constrict your thorax, your remaining fingers pinch its larynx and slice through it. ‘’INDULGE’’In the end, this foe of yours sacrificed more than you did and fell to the joy of ripping you apart; once the little knight pull up a disgusting writhing mass of short membranes bleeding out oil, your renewed ring finger welcomes the return of a golden ring and what was altered is restored as your soul is protected by the master of this place.>[I could write out the rest of the memory if you guys wish, it’d definitely be something to see for our dear Athena or I can proceed to the next last step of this event, after all we have one more foe to deal with]
>>31480912Sleepover is a very cherished memory, as is Ame moonlight discussion, Tsukiyomi confession, Hadraniel eating the entire life out of the forest...You have a good bit of ammunition, my friend.
>>31481049Let's get the memories. We may need to know those details while fighting the Nightmare.
>>31481049Either one is fine I don't mind.
>>31481049Let's hear it. I'm just glad we beat him. I suppose he's still lacking in maturity to get caught up in the fun of ripping someone to shreds over and over again.>>31481088Yes, precious memories as ammo. Oh no using most of them won't come back to bite us at all. I mean he'll still care about everyone even without any memory of why he even should in the first place right? I mean, it's not like a lifetime of all bad memories and nothing good ever turns out badly for anyone./sarcasm
>>31481327You could eat bad memories too but such thing is just as important, altought you'll need more of them to power up effectively.
>>31481430>You could eat bad memories too but such thing is just as important,Just as important as good ones*Also I'm running out of stamina much faster than I want, I fully planned to finish this event today but I might have to call it quit sooner than anticipated.

>>31481556It's from the animu Busou Shinki. Guilty pleasure at its finest
>>31481645...Can I find it subbed?
>>31481430That they are, it's the mix of good and bad experiences that helps to define a person and give them purpose and resolve.>>31481456It's cool, take as much time as ya need dude. It ain't like we're paying you or anything.
There’s no cry of frustration or some struggle of stubborn resistance, your oversized foe disappear like a mirage as your battered, gored body fall on the floor in a wet thud; immediately everything broken and battered is restored anew as the pain reverberate, leaving you stranded on the floor unable to move a muscle; the sensation feel like a second beating heart that constantly project pure raw ‘’hurt’’ in your nerves to a point that rob your senses until everything finally calm down. You don’t know if you had to consume something, the sense of loss and sadness lingering in your heart is still from the effect of your first memory; you don’t know how much time pass but when you finally find the strength to crane your neck, the sound of steel ringing on steel resonate loudly, sending your heart pumping in dreadful excitement.Eshan and Minwee are fighting again; everything is as it should be, even if you fought tooth and nails to restore a tragic event. Athena hadn’t gone back lurking beside the flaming throne, instead her lithe, tiny form stand almost proudly near the elevated floor with her clawed hand held in tight fist digging into her palms, causing columns of carmines fluids to travels over her hands and slowly end on the floor while tears constantly fall down her amber eyes. What spirit for a child – would you have been able to stand there and watch your mother be murdered?
The clash is obviously nearing its end, with the wounds on her body increasing Eshan is slowing down and breathing harder and harder yet her flaming axe come crashing toward the salamander continuously, creating various ‘’whoosh’’ as the flames lick the metal of the tower shield and intending it while the flaming lizard nick her forearm with her one sided slashing sword; you had your doubt about the use of such a weapon but, when combined with her very aggressive style of pushing and knocking her opponent off balance with the shield, you can see the merit even if a hunch in your guts tell you this weapon is ceremonial.‘’We don’t need to follow our traditions Eshan! Dammit!’’Even if exhaustion wasn’t a factor, facts remain that Minwee is plainly skilled, much more than her foe; she anticipate the axe and often dodge it despite her heavy equipment and slam her shield into the lizard whose visions is growing dimmer, the blood loss of her fights on the field took a toll and created a gap impossible to fill.‘’Don’t… give me that’’Eshan voice reminds you of Hadraniel; it’s strong, dignified yet warm and controlled, absolutely not the travesty of anger brought to you by the Beast alternation. ‘’Only one to lead our people; I don’t adhere to your visions and having me around will cripple your foundations’’Amazons live in a society of honor and might but you can’t say you understand her words fully without proper context; or maybe your mind is a bit too addled by the pain, regardless the calm axe wielding chieftain deserve better than the title of berserker and, after her statement, she face what is likely to be her doom without backing down, back proudly standing in front of her only surviving daughter. ‘’I DON’T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT TRADITIONS!’’Perhaps you can see why Athena seemed to admire this Minwee.‘’Change them once you succeed, for I definitely will’’
This exchange marked the end of the duel, the chieftain shoulder tackle the large shield as Minwee emotions destabilised her, allowing a precious opening as she clutched the axe close to her torso, its flame licking and burning her skin as she aim to imbed it right in the heart of the salamander who quickly turn around, flaming tails crashing onto the right side of Eshan face while a diagonal slash marked the end of the fight for good. You feel sad, if only… if only that woman hadn’t decided to fight with such wounds…‘’Motheeeer…’’A high pitched yet low voiced plaints catch your attention as Athena look down in tears, big sobs wracking her tiny forms but still standing up; this duel didn’t had a glorious ending, it was merely a tragic conclusion to what was evident, like rain falling from a clouded sky.It is, however your luck; you can’t move a muscle but Eshan crawled near your position, allowing you to see a pained yet strangely serene face, the expression of someone letting go of absolutely everything pinch your heart as you grimace in protest. Those who pursue honors always meet tragedy.‘’Minwee…Minwee’’Her voice is small and breathless, a near gaps of death heralding the end of everything, she and the salamander obviously shared history, for the cute face of that flaming, brown skinned leader was drenched in tears, enough to rival the angry little girl. ‘’Athena…Athena…she’s my…she’s my…’’The flame of life extinguish afterward and you grimace in painful empathy as Minwee slam her hand on the ground a few time, silently raging as the flame of her tail combust; this has to be the end of this memory now, thus you close your eyes but…
‘’WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!?’’’Now that was unexpected, if you weren’t hurting all over you’d have jumped to the ceiling, Minwee hadn’t recovered from her emotions but her alarm was obvious, she had sprang to her feet and looked toward the throne where one of the amazons had walked up toward the immobile Athena with a blade.‘’The honor of the Pàla clan needs to be kept eternal, mila-‘’Only the well-honed reflex of training and battle saved that warrior life; the ceremonial blade came twirling for her chest, the red scaled lizard had to throw herself off the stairs. ‘’No! None of that! We’ve shed the blood of enough of our sisters today! I’m making her my apprentice, right now!? Hear me!? We will remember her clan, we will write the struggle and end of the Pàla and I will write the dream of their leader’’‘’The ink of remembrance has to come from dynasty…’’‘’Then let’s fight and kill each-others for today, I violate traditions’’ All this while the salamander made her way next to Athena, pointing her blade toward her soldiers who, you realize, are tied to other lizard clans. ‘’I’LL KILL YOU!’’An enraged child voice forced all objection to silence; you couldn’t see the eyes of little Athena nor her expression… and you felt glad for it. ‘’I ATHENA PÀLA, SWEAR THAT I’LL BRING YOU END, MINWEE. I swear I swear I swear I swear I swear I swear I swear’’She punched the salamander armored kidney as she kept her hysterical, tearful litany - your world changed completely afterward, while you couldn’t help a selfish thought, certain gladness that your mother was still alive, even if changed.Your wife-to-be wasn’t and still isn’t a lucky woman. Yet the way she talked about her mother before her proposal left a nagging puzzle.>Ending here folks, I’m absolutely exhausted, had a rough day. I hope it was to your liking nonetheless.
>>31482879>Yet the way she talked about her mother before her proposal left a nagging puzzle.I'll need to reread that part then. I'm not remembering anything strange from that.
>>31482879thanks for running
>>31482966Is there? Maybe I'm more tired than I thought, regardless this was just a bit of a hint I wanted to leave behind.>>31482967I love doing this.I'll still lurk here and answer questions/talk tough, I'm just too exhausted to write anymore, sorry.
>>31482879Thanks for runnin' dude, I do like this story after all.>>31482966Well she did speak highly of Minwee, but that would kind of conflict with her swearing up and down that she's gonna kill her right here then doing it years after the fact. Ya normally don't want to kill people you actually grow to like, and betraying to do so also doesn't make much sense. Now, if ya get duped into believing something horrible will happen if you let them live, that's a different story. But we don't know much about Athena's backstabbing shenanigans or what brought them about.>>31483000I hope so, a man should do things he loves doing after all.
I hope I've been giving Athena the spotlight she deserve. Remember when people wanted to kill her off?
>>31483083I think that was just one dude, but hey, people are entitled to their opinions and desires.
>>31483126Well I've been using this event to explain vital things about what it means to use your soul, developpe a character that really, really needed it and I'll reward you guys depending on your accumulated success, altought the last choice I have in mind is going to be very, very important. But yeah, I wasn't kidding when I said she was imporant.
>>31483213>I'll reward you guys depending on your accumulated successHow many successes have we gotten so far? Also, is there any way to measure how much of our soul is left, and how much a [small] and [large] chunk is in relation to what we have left?
Also, I have a little something to ask.Would you guys prefer on continue using ''you'' in general when writing Siegfried, or would you prefer moving to the third person? >>31483255Like Focus, there's no real way to measure your soul, although count every major event of this quest and Siegfried past as ''ammo''. The more important the memory, the bigger the sacrifice and thus, the greater the power gain. Eating the souvenir of your last meal is insignificant for example, you'll gain nothing from doing that. As for success, I made a gamble with this memory, it was by far the most important one because in term of personal gain for Athena since I love exploring to theme of parental love and, despite what she'll say, she loved her mother very, very much. I was more or less convinced the general sentiment about her was a dislike or ''she's not important'' so having you sacrifice an important memory (the tale surrounding your mother youth was something that touched Siegfried deeply) honestly surprised me, I had red herrings to break appart and corrupt this memory and give the Beast its victory but instead, you sacrificed something. Something Gained, Something lost so you’ve got a resounding victory here, if you think the price was worth it.
>>31483083You couldn't take an arm from a pretty face like this, would you?
>>31483470But I may have done so already...
>>31483510At the ceremony Siggy will have to hold a hand and her tail.>He would of wanted to do that regardless of how armless she is.I finally finished reading through the archives so I get to catch the live quests now. Thanks for the ride so far!
>>31483510Aww. So updating again tomorrow if we keep the thread?
>>31483562I don't think so, I'm moving out this friday (yes again, I haven't been at my current place for 6 month) so my time is bound to be caught.>>31483558Glad you enjoyed it and tolerated the lackluster english, we'll be getting to the end soon enough, this ride will be wild indeed... and I'll be out for blood with every word.
>>31483354Damn, so we forgot how mommy came around and became a loving parent. Oh boy, that's a big one. But you did say our nemesis sac'd something of greater value in the end so I guess it's a victory overall.Dear lord Siggy's gonna be an empty shell by the end of this. Does Orion suffer similar penalties when doing it? I mean he's way older and has way more to offer up but please tell me he actually pays for his soul shenanigans too. You can only make someone so broken...As for style, "I", "you", "he", don't affect me much. So use whatever perspective you like.>>31483470Nope, it's gone. Was pumping her full of old corruption anyway and we couldn't land an arc reactor so good riddance. If only we could give her a Vash arm, too bad gun tech is in its infancy here. Blade arm will have to do. Or maybe we could make one that shoots out Oofuda sigils that explode or impede enemy movement. Or put bomb runes on it like Emeth had.I hope INH let's us customize the thing, I have so many fun ideas.
>>31483619The English got better as it went. IIRC dialogue got a lot less stiff around the first trip to the cats to get them to join the alliance and return with insect girl.>>31483632I'm afraid of Athena's night time cuddles if we weaponize her.
>>31483632Orion pay a similar price, it's not everyone that can be so in tune with their souls to do this though, which is why the start of this update left the fluffy and demon lord scared. >>31483678 Athena might be able to gain a power up at the end of this arc
>>31483619Any chance for an offshoot or some other monster girl quest once this is over?
>>31483678Now now anon, weaponized girls need love too. And the more things we have weaponized, the greater our chances of survival.
>>31483619How do lizard girls give birth?
>>31483711I tried to o a prequel but soon found out that doing two quest at once is too much for my stamina (probably because ToM is a huge project). But I fully plan to do a sequel, I already have several scenes written down and have even more in my head, just need to actually get started on a protagonist.
>>31483751Eggs, kids come in batch but harsh environement can kill off the entire set.
>>31483758<3If we proposed to the rest of our committed waifus and spent the night with all of them and used that amount of condenced good for a memory soul power up would we destroy the continent and in its place create a new realm with a Harem Lord that was chosen by fighting over a hot spring bath?
>>31483805You think SIggy will allow that? How many bunches?
>>31483813See, the problem is then we wouldn't remember any of that. And like anything good or cool there are limits to such bullshit.Besides, you have any idea how heartbroken or insulted a girl would be if they gushed about how amazing last night was and you going "Huh what? I don't remember that."
>>31483813Such an extremely specific scenario will ahve to be refused! HoweverI fully encourage you to create memory, it'll make what happen after al lthe more deli-... hard to write. >>31483841Lizardwoman lived in the jungle leading into the demonic realm, the land is a very, very harsh mistress but bred a strong ahrdy people who, in the end, lost almost everything, they didn't have the convenience of alchemy, Siggy sure as hell wouldn't allow eggs stillborn, especially not after the mindflexing we did to save two harpies. As for the bunches, usually 3 to 4
>>31483978Are we even able to consciously choose what memories to forget or is it out of our hands once we choose to power up?
>>31483813Er... Do you really want to give a suffering addict fuel to use on us?>>31483978See what I mean dude? He wants to REJOICE!
>>31483978I think Athena and maybe Slyphis might end up having the most kids....
>>31484063Well the first girl usually wins. In this case it's first girls and they get the most kids. Siggy ain't gonna have any free time. Such is the downside to harem ends people.
>>31484004For now you don't have much choice but Siggy is already growing somewhat proeficient in manipulating his soul, so you'll be able to make a selection once we get into the counter attack. For now thought, I'll be the one choosing what's gone and if a deadlock happen on some other memories in the future, I'll cut without mercy. >>31484006I had my plans for Athena smashed apart, if I were looking to rejoice I would have tried my best to make you lose, thus I am not a suffering addict at all!>>31484063That's if they live. Don'T forget to cure the curse of the heroes too Also I might be tempted to shift protag/PoV here and there as we are reaching the end, but that depends on how the situation evolve. Might simply be best to stay with Siggy 100% of the time as we've done so for two years.
>>31484112Technically you did, but you couldn't railroad us into it as that's poor form. Thus you just hoped we'd get stupid, it has happened before.
>>31484138Stupid or our dice crit fail. Either way.
>>31484138Other QMs keep complaining about /tg/ stupidity but it never happen when I bank SUFFERING on it.>>31484164I don't like dice too much but they have to be used sometime.
>>31484164They have been building our confidence in them as of late. But they smart, they play the long con. They want you to think they're on your side, to rely on them with confidence...So they can betray you at the worst time. Just as planned in their eyes. Dice be like the fae yo, can't trust em' fo shit!
>>31483083I still do.I'm only fashionably late today, but thank you for running.
>>31484201>Other QMs keep complaining about /tg/ stupidity but it never happen when I bank SUFFERING on it.I think it's similar to the situation that Null;Fear has with his quest; because it's a Shadowrun quest and everyone already fully expects the backstabs to come from everyone. This lead to very little shadowrunning to occur among the players.
>>31484317I'd like to understand why, I think I've done my very best to give her personality and character when she sorely lacked it all quest.>>31484337The arc with Ahriman was full of fantasy shadowrun and you came an HAIR CLOSE to get completely fucked over. I think it left its mark
>>31484363Not >>31484317 but from a meta standpoint I can see wanting to drop Athena or Sylphis to free up a soul link (assuming we have a limit on how many we can have, not sure) since we got linked to the two of them from the start before anything major happened.I don't want either to die but if I had to choose it'd be Sylphis. I'm a sucker for scales.
>>31484363I remember that one. DAMN that was close, thank got a few anons caught on. Though again, just goes to show that your strategy isn't flawed, it just ain't working out as often as you'd like. Such is the fate of things that rely on sentient beings, can't accurately predict what they're gonna do for shit. Just gotta throw it out there and pray to whatever god or gods you believe in. Ain't much else you can do unless you want to railroad the players. And they don't take kindly to that.
>>31484424>assuming we have a limit on how many we can haveWe do, and we've hit it.
>>31484424I've said it before, and I'll keep to my words; Siegfried, Athena and Sylphis combo while soul linked is probably the strongest combination you can have in term of taking out single target. >>31484430>Ain't much else you can do unless you want to railroad the players. And they don't take kindly to that. No, they don't, even I don't. Im not going to write something I'll hate even if it means my plans get burned
>>31484464We can *technically* get more, but then we'll start having side effects, bad ones. Like acting as if we were one of our waifus instead of ourselves, confusing their memories for our own, and other such things. So we *could* link to more girls, but it is highly inadvisable to do so.
>>31484494Pretty much, interlapsing memories is the big one, combine that with consuming them and... You get the picture.
>>31484494>Wake up thinking we're Hadraniel.>Roll over and see Hadraniel, mistake her for our twin brother.>Unmanly tears.Almost worth the delicious suffering.
Now then... How would Siggy treat his fluffy daugtheru?
>>31484528From a meta standpoint that might not be too bad, as it'd increase our "ammo" capacity. Pretty unethical though, and of course it'd suck to think we're Tsu and go for Fox Flame Explosion when, as a Fluid Mage, we can't really do that resulting in a completely wasted turn. Or worse, burnout.
>>31484574Which wan?
>>31484602>whichI think only one fluffy would want a kid in the near future
>>31484574Like any daughteru, with love, care, and devotion. Try to be there for her when she's suffering, support her decisions, put her on the right path, and generally try to raise her right along with her mother.Fatherhood is a big deal with many rewards, pity so many see it as a burden and run from it.
>>31484574>>31484625An epilogue as fluffy (eldest) daughteru could be fun.Siggy will probably dote on her but doubtful he'd get to spend nearly as much time with her as either of them would like, assuming harem ending (amongst other responsibilities.)
>>31484748I've pretty much got that character entirely figured out but that highly depend if you guys managed to diplomance Daiyu removing the curse from the Heroes.
>>31484765B-baby crazy angel?
>>31484765>diplomance Daiyu removing the curse from the HeroesThat's going to be hard, considering she doesn't consider herself as having done anything wrong by destroying the elven and dwarven civilizations. She still believes she was doing the right thing by following what she believed in, from our last conversation on the topic.
>>31484765Don't see why she'd maintain the damn thing given their status. Now if it was Deruella or some outside hack maintaining it I'll sing a different tune. Or unless it involves Daiyu's death, can't blame a person for wanting to live at the cost of a few people that would want em' dead in most any scenario. Bleeding hearts are a rare thing for good reason, they get people killed with no payoff.
>>31484822Let me just say you are entirely, completely, utterly wrong on this part, the reason why she was crying was partly due to guilt, the other was fear. She's obviously going to have her developpement too.>>31484792Hadraniel? You want the fluffy wing to have a child?>>31484835It's not that Daiyu is it, there's a procedure that need to be done to cancel the work of her predecessor. Tsu, Kyorn and Hadyd have every right to be wary of her, tough.
>>31484914If there is the potential for fluffy we must have it for we are greedy, we are simple, we are Siggy.
>>31484914>Let me just say you are entirely, completely, utterly wrong on this partThat's not what she said. When asked if she had realized the terrible crime she had committed, she responded that what Siegfried sees as crimes and mistakes is only his belief. >There is no mistake, no crime, no presumptions nor are there any ‘’chosen’’She said that the actions committed in the course of her own beliefs were not crimes or mistakes.
>>31484957Still mistakes. She didn't want what happened, she just didn't think it would turn out that way. An innocent genocide, that's suffering fuel at its finest.
>>31484957Oh I thought you were talking about something a bit later on. Daiyu is full of duality but this particular sentence described more the belief of ''Épanouissement'' than her real train of thought. You can think of what she said as something she really, really want to believe but isn't quite able toIn the end thought, she had to move on from what happened with the dwarves and elves else she grow crazy and suicidal. The Demon Lord can't afford to kill herself or die, else the entire monsters specie get thrown out of wack. But I haven't taken my time to develop her, like Athena. It'll come eventually.
>>31485021>Still mistakesRight, and that's the point. And in response to Siegfried's question about whether following the belief of ''Épanouissement'' and destroying two civilizations in the process, Daiyu said that there are no mistakes on the path towards that goal.Of course she didn't want what happened, but the point is that she still believes or at least still tries to believethat there was nothing wrong with what she did. That so long as the actions are to further the goal of attaining ''Épanouissement'' that there are no mistakes, no crimes, only setbacks to be regretted. In short, that she believes that she would do it again (with some improvements to the plan, of course) if ever given a second chance.
>>31485091Perhaps you ought to convince her otherwise. Or even ask her if she believe in Épanouissement, I do believe she wasn't clear in that, she merely explained the most popular philosophy of the demonic realm.Like I said, Daiyu will have her time in the spotlight as well, I'm spreading bread crumb little by little... and it's working
If we have a daughter by Ame, can she be like like pic related? I mean, she has enough crazy for it. Also, setting has Oofuda launching and using golems, are those capable of being made and used here? Caster-type flying Golems could be very useful in our coming battles...
>>31485188No caster golem in the army yet, Emeth is working overtime to keep that thousand well coordinated. As for Ame having a child... well...I honestly don'T think it'll happen, you'll ahve better cahcne with Mylen and she's in the NOPE camp.
>>31485026>but this particular sentence described more the belief of ''Épanouissement'' than her real train of thought. So, then succubi who believed in ''Épanouissement'' essentially felt that what they did in its pursuit, no matter how destructive, is free of crime, guilt, or sin. That no succubus ever saw that what they were doing was wrong, that they are unshaken in their resolve. No matter how many people may die, that the ends justify the means.>>31485148The question that was asked was if any who believed in Épanouissement had ever looked back and realized the depths of their crimes.Daiyu did not directly answer that question; she only explained that some succubi believe that there are no crimes in the pursuit of Épanouissement. The implication that Siegfried had made in the question, of course, was an accusation that Daiyu not only believes in Épanouissement, but that it was her justification for the events that led to the destruction of the elven and dwarven civilizations. And then there's>Such thinking led to the irredeemable losses of two cultures; yet allowed the Demon Realm to blossom in unity.Which implies that she believes that such destruction was, while regrettable, ultimately beneficial to the Demon Realm and that it was even desirable.
>>31485241>So, then succubi who believed in ''Épanouissement'' essentially felt that what they did in its pursuit, no matter how destructive, is free of crime, guilt, or sin. That no succubus ever saw that what they were doing was wrong, that they are unshaken in their resolve. No matter how many people may die, that the ends justify the means.Absolutely and this is why demons are so dangerous. >The implication that Siegfried had made in the question, of course, was an accusation that Daiyu not only believes in Épanouissement, but that it was her justification for the events that led to the destruction of the elven and dwarven civilizations.I played him like that because I get the general feeling that /tg/ is very, very wary around Daiyu and Siegfried doesn't trust her despite the soul link. >Which implies that she believes that such destruction was, while regrettable, ultimately beneficial to the Demon Realm and that it was even desirable.Indeed, it helpled form her early reign and create something akin to a Great Power, despite the tragedy that philosophy brought stability. Yet now she's keeping herself far from her realm and is actually helping an enemy country, hell she actually created an entire persona and managed to get into Ame court when she was the spider Yuria... and the only thing she did is kidnap a girl and give her back a few weeks later while simultaneously helping you out twice during the Betrayal/Church arc. Do you believe the Demon Lord position can be completely explained with the information you have?
>>31485220Damn, could have really used that. If it can give Dragon type entities some difficulty then it ought be able to at least distract that fullmetal bastard. But it looks like we ain't gonna land it.Oh well, can always shove a soul-charged spike into his skull with a good roll...
>>31485489 It won't be enough
>>31485363>Do you believe the Demon Lord position can be completely explained with the information you have?My problem with Daiyu is that all of her actions can be explained through logic and calculation, and so far we have no evidence that she regrets following a philosophy or initiating the events which led to the destruction of the elves and dwarves. She only regrets that they were destroyed and couldn't be absorbed into the Demon Realm, but is satisfied with the consolation prize of a unified Demon Realm. And yet look at it now; torn apart by civil war between herself and Deruella, and the Realm essentially Balkanizing. Her absence from her Throne, by spending time as Yuria, helped to cause this situation.Looking at the evidence so far, and only going by what Daiyu has actually said, I'd say that it's just as likely that Daiyu created this situation in order to bring out those that were planning on usurping her throne, so that they could all be wiped out. That she set up the situation so that she would become a tolerated, if not trusted, person to Zipang. She created a situation where working with her against Deruella would be the lesser of two bad choices, painting Deruella as someone who will destroy Zipang outright while Daiyu's reign would be less of a problem. Not to mention, Daiyu's death or the usurpation of her Throne would cause unforeseen consequences in the Monstergirl population of Zipang. Thereby making Zipang's propping up of Daiyu's regime absolutely necessary to their own survival.
>>31485518My, I don't think I can afford to provide any hints. You've got a sharp mind anon, investigating Daiyu will pretty much be the last great ''character arc'' I have in store. Just rememer there's a traitor loyal to Deruella in ZIpangu and you are trusting the Demon Lord to find her. I really want to continue this discussion, but I haven't offered enough info so I think it'll be better if I take a step back.
>>31483716>Red-eyed KOS-MOSConfirmed for good taste>>31485513Yeah, if he really is TYPE-level then he's essentially anti-planet, anti-reality, 'true gods can suck on my plated dick' tier.
>>31485513http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD9Vho0SVCUOf course not, but he fails to see who we have on our side. Zech would love to try his hand on him (damn battle freak, GOD I love it when they on our side), Daiyu has her full killy form, we have more than one amazing memory we're willing to offer upon the altar of power to become God's of Destruction, We can win this!At the unfortunate consequence of becoming an empty shell of a man that is... But fuck that, BLAST THEM ALL INTO OBLIVION!!!!
>>31485599You sure you can't give us any more hints?Such as, are the emotions of sadness and loss that Daiyu sent to us through the Soul Link when we were questioning her about the destruction of the Elves and Dwarves, were those emotions from her feeling regret over the loss of two such great civilizations and the deaths she caused, or because it was what drove her husband away?Because, looking at it from a purely unemotional point of view, the destruction of the Elves and having their magic gifted to the Humans was a great success.Elves don't breed with Monstergirls, or at least it's not mentioned if male elves can produce viable offspring with monsters. But Humans are the necessary ingredient for a self-perpetuating Demon Realm, and giving them magic only helps their life expectancy.
>>31485657Soul Nomad was an interesting experience. That Betrayal, holy damn did I not see it coming
>>31485702It was definetly sadness and regret over what she did, she may have moven on but remebering it cause the same sentiment as the Purge for Siggy. As for more hints... I don't really trust myself to give more given my fatigue, I'll most likely give something away that I don't want.
>>31485734Alright. Then I'll re-ask the question about the elves next thread when you're less tired.
>>31485705So long as, if we do sac more than he did, he gets the same treatment as the beast did. Empty shell end yeah, but I do love me a good curbstomp. Shred his ass into a trillion pieces! I want not a single moh of his remains to exist in the world after we've dealt with him!Same for the ultra-slut. Bitch dies, if it the last thing we do!
>>31485742Oh wait I can answer bits and pieces about that one. Elven males CAN reproduce with monsters but they also tend to be much, much more resistant and generally strong of mind, able to resist corruption. They were also ''gifted'' with huge empathy wich in the end, became their downfall. They just didn't preproduce a whole lot mostly because of [small] shared ancestry with dragons, meaning that a particularly long and vulnerable pregnancy period made the prospect of reproducing a very, very serious affair. They did however, hog magical ressources for the entire world, not just from human...
>>31485809>They did however, hog magical ressources for the entire world, not just from human...Anything to strengthen the Demon Realm, right? Even if it means that the elven civilization has to be destroyed and most of them killed, it's all for the sake of the Demon Realm's magical Lebensraum.
>>31485840Not really. Probably thought it''d fall into the wrong hands. Too bad said hands happened to be their own because of corruption. Should have just handed it over but hey, politics...
>>31485840Even if it means shooting yourself in the foot by strengthening your most numerous foe, allowing its biggest organization not form competent anti-guerilla units very efficient at rooting out succubus? A good numbers of human mages wanted those stones gone too, or at least made ‘’readily available’’. A very messy situation to be sure. But yes, early Daiyu certainly had vision of grandeur...
>>31485857>Should have just handed it over but hey, politics...If the elves had handed the stones over to the Demon Realm, then the destruction of their civilization and its corruption would have been swifter and more complete, and there wouldn't have been any survivors that could run to human strongholds.Handing the stones over would have been the most stupid possible decision to make.
>>31485874>A good numbers of human mages wanted those stones gone too, or at least made ‘’readily available’’.So it's possible that there were some human collaborators, who believed that it was for the greater good that the elves be driven to a situation where they either had to release the stones (mostly towards humans) or let them fall into the hands of Daiyu.
>>31485980Sort of; elves didn't really made information about them widespread, a child must either be conceived or born under one of these magical rocks to receive the power of the elements. There was a lot, a whole lot of jealousy; the hanging city of ''Luminaris'' should have been a place of «commune» for all races despite being, literally, the place where the first elf was born. They wanted to make human stronger, really... and in the end, they did.
>>31486017>They wanted to make human stronger, really... and in the end, they did.I suppose the important question is: did the collaborators work knowingly with Daiyu, or did she manipulate them into it?
>>31486054They ended up cooperating and the human backstabbed the demons first, althought by then the situation was already irreversible. These mages manipulated the markets to bring a recession in Luminaris and that was the first weak link needed...
>>31486096I also want to point out that, as much as Daiyu denied it, Siegfried's observation about those succubi who follow the philosophy of Épanouissement was correct.>It sounds like every single one believed that they were special, that they would be the one to find true understanding. That it didn't matter what others called them, because they were right and the others were wrong. They felt they were...chosen. Daiyu said that those who follow that philosophy believe that the ends justify the means, that there are no sins or crimes so long as they are committed in the name of Épanouissement, that all things are permitted and nothing is forbidden when a succubus walks on the path towards Épanouissement. This is the very embodiment of believing themselves right while others call them wrong.
>>31486145Yup.Daiyu crisis of faith hasn't ended, on top of that she loves her family even if its broken. I am, after all, very fond of the parental love theme... or family in general.
>>31486171>Daiyu crisis of faith hasn't endedThen her penance hasn't begun at all. Because there's still a voice in her heart that says it was all worth it, and if she's honest with herself, she'd do it again without hesitation. So I suppose that the charge of presumption is not valid, since there were tangible and concrete benefits and favorable results to the fall of the elves and dwarves, results which Daiyu had been attempting to achieve when she first started her operations.
>>31486229Why do you think I picture her as Tsukiyomi rival? Time and again I've shown the sins of the Queen-Mother to keep her country safe, to make it strong and I have one last bomb to drop near the end regarding that. Daiyu is the leader of an entire race with a very similar mindset. She felt enough guilt to grow insane over her two failures and -had- to come to term, else the unthinkable may have happened....My, I think I should leave this for her actual character arc tough.
>>31486279The difference I feel between the two, is that Tsu accepts that she did some pretty horrible stuff in the past, and she accepts that it was necessary and doesn't ask for forgiveness for it. She makes no pretense that she is seeking forgiveness or penance, because she isn't.The sense I get from Daiyu is that she wants someone to forgive her even as she accepts that it was something she'd do it again in a heartbeat.
>>31486344A very fair view, once again, I fully intend to take my time with her character arc in order to create progression stimulated by your advices and words. Its very likely to start after we are done with Athena, then continue after the counterstrike.... assuming we still live.
>>31486382>she wants someone to forgive her even as she accepts that it was something she'd do it again in a heartbeat.I should rephrase this to:she wants someone to forgive her even though she's not really sorry about it, because she accepts that she'd do it again in a heartbeat. It's that duplicity that makes me unwilling to trust her at all.
>>31486457And its something that need answered, because it may very well not be true.
>>31486484>because it may very well not be true. What, the hoping for forgiveness part, or that she'd do it again part?
>>31486530 BothSorry for teasing an answer, but I think I need to reveal these character traits and/or belief when the time is right.
>>31486551If she's not willing to do what is necessary in order to secure a better future, forcing everyone to HAVE to side with her if they want their loved ones to stay sane or even in one piece, then my opinion of her goes down even further.Because that's what she's done, essentially. She's extorted every single man who has a monstergirl wife into helping to prop up her regime, under threat of their wife and daughters going insane, regressing physically back to an earlier monster incarnation, or some unforeseen result.
>>31486585But in order to carry out this threat she'd need to kill herself, as there is no way for a new Demon Lord to arise aside from the demise of the current one. It may be rotten luck, but at the very least, she allowed an entire race divided into countless sub species to grow genuine humanity. It's not very effective whe nyour threat is ''Do as I say or your wife goes crazy!'' whe nthe method to carry it out is a guillotine.
>>31486615>But in order to carry out this threat she'd need to kill herselfNo, the situation is that she can't be executed or allowed to die, and she can't be deposed as the Demon Lord. It's not that people have to do as she says, but that they have to make sure she stays on the throne and alive.
>>31486382neetccubus when
>>31490940Neetcubus will be fluffy daughteru's BFF that loiters in our castle all day every day that Siggy only tolerates and doesn't chase out because she's Daiyu's daughter.
>>31490940Reminder that cyclops' are to be bullied
>>31493853>Meanwhile, at the Demon Lord's throne room...
>>31490940 Most likely in the sequel
kid sequel when
>>31497129I've already decided that I'll focus on the dwarves and elves somewhat, so unfortunately... no kids! You need to make sure Siggy survive somehow first.
>>31497196>somewhatthat isn't a definitive answer, quebecois
>>31497284I'm leaving a marging of error because I want to write about adorable fluffy daughteru but logic won't let me.
>>31497327Hmmm... You're really encouraging us to diplomance Demon Lord so Mother Fluff can have a daughter. My better sense says this is another dastardly trap but it's hard to say no to Tiny Fluff.
>>31497364Try your best. Tsukiyomi has an overwhelming amount of motherly love, it's pretty much the entire reson hers and Ame retinue is what it is
>>31497414Would Ame consider Future Tiny Fluff to be her daughter, sister, or niece? Would FTF be a princess of Zipangu?
>>31497467Sister and she'll be a princess of the zipangu side of things with the Commonwealth
>>31497062Hooray
>>31497507If it's too complicated to directly involve fluffy daughteru in the sequel she can always have her own sidestory/epilogue thing in between this and the start of the sequel. How different would these near-end-game encounters be if a different starting class had been chosen for Siggy? Would we be having these soul fights if we weren't a mage?
>>31497557I don't really tend to do character request given all the investment I put into each and everyone, but a lazy Lilim pratically wrote itself. I've got about 3 heroines that I really, really want to put.
>>31497701Hmm epilogue/sidestory as a little fluff that ties in to the main plot could be viable, altought I'd need some serious mind flexing. As for your other question, I'll start going into details why Siegfried seem to summon crystals despite his fluid origin after things calm down, but even as a warrior you'd be doing the same, albeit with some different result. A case of wielding a tools differently.
>>31497798>>31497734Love you for still hanging out to talk shop and share fluffy pictures the next day.If we had chosen the spider as one of our starting girls would that have been Yuyu and we be soul linked with the Demon Lord from the start?
>>31497364It'll probably be some kind of puzzle we're gonna have to solve to break it. I doubt we can just demand Daiyu drop it and then it happens. She may not be able to.Then again she could just lie out her ass and make us jump through hoops, hoops that will benefit her personally at the cost of people and parties we may not want to fuck over. Damn thing is quite the bargaining chip to hold over the leader of a powerful nation (and us) after all. From Daiyu's standpoint, it'd be a waste to just cast it aside without getting anything out of it.Fucking hell this is never easy. Let's hope she really wants brownie points and doesn't ask for/trick us into doing too much.>>31497701This would have been a soul fight regardless. Warrior or Rogue Siggy probably would have been able to find or get some really powerful shit in lieu of this rather powerful form of thaumaturgy. Like a Noble Phantasm level sword, dagger, armor, or artifacts.Give a rogue a cloaking device and a magic poison dagger, or hand a warrior a flamethrower sword and some adamantine full plate. You just made them a lot more killy.
>>31497885I'll be very, very busy in the next few days so I might as well enjoy myself. As for your question, yup, you'd have been linked with the Demon Lord from the start.
>>31497951Shit, you had a good amount of this planned out didn't ya. Good thing she turned out to be such a nice girl.Maybe a nice girl, probably, it would suck to have to kill her once this is all over. Backlash, new war for succession, anyone but Tsu or a Lilim winning may revert the monstergirls to their former state, bad news all around.I guess that one anon's right, Daiyu really could be a hardcore bitch playing us all like grand pianos by holding shit like that over our heads. I want to trust her, really, but she IS the Demon Lord after all. I can't trust her fully until she proves to me she ain't like this fine fucker.
>>31498206I honestly didn't have that much planned at the start, the big reason why there was a one month stop before we delved further in the college was because I invested some more time to cook up a grander plot. And I was thinking that /tg/ didn't like my quest but I was fortunately proven wrong
>>31498274Because of all these fluffy daughteru images I'm going to forever associate her as your avatar. It will make the suffering that much more delicious when we're being torn asunder.
>>31498334Maybe I should change my twitter picture then. Tiny fluff cannot be resisted.
>>31497798So... Instead of superpowered crystalizing ice spikes and hopefully other bullshit we'd have gotten adamant skin and/or the ability to channel Might Guy?
>>31498899Maybe, maybe not I haven't spend too much thinking on alternative use of this side of this ''ability'' since what I've cooked up already completely break the rules of magic.
>>31499002I don't know why Tiny Fluff is storing a tangerine on top of her head but I like it.Would she get Siggy's affinity for magic or would Tiny Fluff get all of her powers from Mother Fluff?
>>31499187I’m still on the fence about that, part of me would like to give her a thoroughly broken ability on the same level as Bletsia which will put her in the crosshair of a lot of people to try to make use of for themselves, or be more reasonable and have her inherit something from her parents. Tough Tsu is an artificial Demon Lord and Siegfried is the son of Mother Earth, this union is eugenic approved.
>>31499293Whoever drew these pictures is a genius. It shouldn't be possible for these pictures to contain such high levels of adorableness, but they do.
>>31498363>>31499370Tale of Monsters mascot confirmed.
>>31499370http://www.gelbooru.com/index.php?page=post&s=list&tags=akane_%28naomi%29&pid=0Enjoy my friend, the adorable fluff is strong. >>31499432So it shall be, but she isn't even a character in the quest!
>>31499462Tiny Fluff is the mascot we need but not the one we deserve. The rejoicing will transcend when fail and she never comes to be.
>>31499521You're being so negative and pessimistic. We can still get our fluffy daughteru, so where's that fighting spirit?
>>31499671>>31499521Well then, good luck
>>31499671Are you a bad enough dude to carry our hopes and dreams for a fluffy future for us, anon?
>>31499758Why are fluffy so universally loved?
>>31499986>That mischievous smile.>Those fluffy tails.>Those fluffy ears.Those hair ornaments.
>>31499758I know I'm tryin'.>>31499986Because of the power of fluffy tails. Soft, wonderful, comfy, warm, fluffy tails. We can't help it! We love em'!
>>31500093>>31500192You guys are beyond redemption I see. What if... a fluffy villain emerge?
I'm playing a Kitsune in Pathfinder. Personality-wise, he's basically Sun Wukong. He even calls himself the Handsome Fox King.
>>31499986Personally, I'm not that enthused.I prefer leather, horns, scales and exoskeletons to fluff.
>>31500220But we already have a perfectly crazy kumiho and her real mother... I don't think we could handle more!>>31500270I can't decide what I like more, dragon scales or fox fluff. It will be the end of me if we encounter a hybrid monster girl like that.
>>31500270So you are a fan of succubi then. Have a nice picture of one.
>>31500220Wait why does she have Katamari Damaci headgear?
>>31500222I never had the chance to play tabletop so I made do with online roleplaying, that allwoed me to make alot of character... I've got a few more fluffs i nstock I'd like to introduce, there's about 6 or 7 nine tailed kitsunes in total still alive in ToM, counting Tsu and Ame. >>31500270I try my best to not show favoritism, as all monsters girls deserve love. >>31500334Is it? I think its a giant scrollcase.
>>31500220Then they stand between us and the fluffy daughteru. They will be purged if we can't convince them to back down.>>31500374Yes! More! More Fluffy! Hopefully not trying to kill us fluffy!
>>31500520All in due time, I'll most likely introduce a new one in that sequel I'm cooking up, we have more than enough actors in this war.
>>31500520>>31500374After we are hurt by a new fluffy we will be broken and never able to trust again. Until Tiny Fluff comes along and restores our faith. How common are kitsune compared to the other denizens of Zipangu?
>>31500611They aren't common at all, altought Kitsunes tend to gravitate toward the strong ones of their species so the Shining Knight do have a good number of them but as regular citizen? there isn't a whole lot of them, but at least the castle is fairly populated by one or two tailed girls, those sporting three or more tend to be much more independent.
>>31500270You have a superior taste, Anon.
Goddess waifu when?
>>31501834Siegfried mother is the closest thing to a goddess. Are you going to take a page from Oedipus?
>>31501888I'm in the NOPE camp on that one. She is a good girl though, when and if she incarnates again I hope she finds herself a loving husbando and gets a much better experience out of it than her time as Mana.I wonder why she did incarnate in the first place though. Maybe being a goddess and all those duties gets boring sometimes. Her version of a vacation maybe?
>>31502145I'm tempted to answer that question but I don't think I should.
No brakes on the fluffy train.Do the fluffy tails in the shining order use weapons or are they mostly magic?
>>31502621Is she made of rubber?Shining Knights tend to be divided into personal squads instead of proper military units so personal skills and magics play a large role, kitsunes in that order tend to sue a mixture of Ofuda, foxfire and blade. You can think of them as mage-knights or rogues, those that show potential as summoner are shifted into a higher branch of the knight that usually work hand in hand with the island clergy, at least for this war.
>>31501888We don't hug mother enough. When can Mylen meet her one last time?
>>31497327You could always make it years after the event and make her an adventurer, but that'd have to wait until she was 20 something to justify the amount of killy the average murderhobo has to have to survive.Especially if it's in the swamp, that area is for people hovering around level 20, with the most dangerous spots being epic level tier. But that would also mean she wouldn't be a cute little girl anymore. Maybe bring her along with Tsu for trade negotiations? We pull our bomb plan off that corridor is going to become very active very fast. All nations and guilds will be in a bum rush to get a piece of that hot capitalist action, neatly justifying her presence there.
>>31505044You really aren't giving her enough hug. At all. I won't answer that question>>31505053>You could always make it years after the event and make her an adventurerTsukiyomi is much, much too overprotective to allow this!
>>31505148Will Ame sneak her out for under-the-fluff adventures?
>>31505235Yes and the knights will be deployed in hot pursuit.
>>31505315Won't she have her own kids to have adverntures
>>31505355Ame cannot afford to have kids, so no. She's sharing Mylen position in the NO KIDS camp.
How fast do fluffy tails take to grow up - are they like some monsters like the mantis that only take a year or two or are they just like humans?
>>31505435It's because of the whole "might kill own kid due to kumiho crazy" right?Shouldn't there be a way to fix that?Maybe some soul adjustment?
>>31505315See, now your kinda justifying it. That's an easy, common character background. The prince/princess sneaking off for ADVENTURE, with the nation in question searching for them. And them evading those looking for them while not telling the party who they really are. She could be fluffy Charme!>>31505435Unless they be using the sheep skin every time it might happen whether they like it or not. Gotta love unplanned pregnancies!
>>31505148>I won't answer that questioncruel
>>31505568I'm pretty sure they'll have magic contraception, anon.
>>31505529They take longer to grow, at 30 years old they'd be about 12 years in human equivalent, in that sense they are very similar to elves. They stop ''growing'' once their tails sprout in two and from there, if they live long enough, they might also be able to cultivate a star ball - Hoshi No Tama.>>31505546There is a way to ''fix'' her. I'd like to do it in the sequel. Hint>>31505634Depend on how things goes in the near future, my friend. Do you really want to see Mylen cry?>>31505645That there is.
>>31505568Oh man Charme was the best adventurer in that game.
>>31505645But anon, Siggy's Hyper Weapon now eats magic. Ain't that gonna kinda cancel out the whole contraceptive thing?
>>31505705I want to see Mylen be happyLetting her know mom is okay wouldn't upset her, right?
>>31505796Letting her know her very best friend and idol is actually alive would result in a predictable event, I say.
>>31505705You'd think that shit'd be against human religion. Church has to have banned that shit Catholic style due to really fucked up demographics. Need as many girls gettin' pregnant as possible, praying to God that it's a boy. Then more prayers that some succubus doesn't get their hands on em'.Or anyone for that matter, bitches can become more succubi. Mylen almost did.
>>31505960She can be a priest of mother earth then. Get in on the divine worshipping and whatnot.
>>31506030Mylen did become a succubus, we just made her a 'safe' one.
>>31506030Contraceptives are obviously banned, but alchemy and science are advancing very fast indeed... and msot priest aren't asshole so they tend to let that rule slide when teenagers act like teenagers.>>31506082Mylen love to fight and kill too much to be a priestess
>>31506082Don't think she's preacher material, unless it's to some martial deity. See, she's a battle freak. That girl LOVES a good fight, her wings flapped with joy fighting half-beastified Siggy, when facing down Hadraniel she was obviously happy at the prospect of throwing down, and is otherwise having the time of her life whenever there's violence about. For her, war and killing people is FUN!Guts is pretty similar, hence the comparison to her and him stands.
>>31506155Then she can be a priestess of living life to its maximum. Mom loves that kind of shit right? Max life max happiness max enjoy
>>31506222Not... exactly. Human religion tend to deal around spirituality surrounding personal strenght and growth in order to counter Corruption. The way Mylen live is unnaceptable if she hoped to be a member of the clergy as she's obviously indulging dangerously in bloodust. Were it a previous era with Old corrupt, she'd likely be put to death for fear of her devolving in a fiend.
>>31506222Even if she did become a priest of earth mother she'd definately be a heretic to the humans and one to most monsters - viewed as some nut claiming to be Earth Mother's BFF.
>>31506299Back then it'd depend on where that bloodlust was directed. A person bloodthirsty for monsters and the corrupt would find themselves right at home in the clergy. Still do most likely, I know Ahriman would have definitely approved of such an individual. His honor guard was probably composed of such people, had at least 20 dudes on his crew with the mindset of a good Imperial citizen.
>>31506327Why is her smile so infectious?>>31506385Even so, bloodlust need to be tempered. Mylen could be priestess it wouldn't be too hard to seriously convert, problem is, she doesn't want to. And most of all she doesn't like dealing with people that don't share a past with hers.
>>31506299That'd suck, the girl obviously has a will save so strong it could be considered broken. A controllable, directable bloodthirsty girl. It's like having a berserker on your side but even better. All the advantages, none of the drawbacks. We are gonna get Kyorn some development right? I like him, would like to know more about him.
>>31506828Yeah, I kind of wondered why people thought she'd want to worship her best friend.Because that doesn't sound like a particularly stable relationship to me
>>31506828When you don't have as many tails as the top shelf fluffy tails it helps to have a winning smile.
>>31506828Her past is rather unique. If she hate all who ain't been through what she went through, how'd she come to Idolize Mana and love Siggy? She's still a good person deep down, just enjoys to kill a little too much. Likely a function of her past, killing your tormentors has to feel damn good. Glad I don't know such joy personally.
>>31506911That, too. She did idolise Mana, still does in fact, was probably even attracted to her, but it's not worship. And never will be.>>31506967I'm sure she's very fluffy.>>31507002> If she hate all who ain't been through what she went throughIt's not hate, she's more or less too stubborn and scared to deal with other people. Siegfried wil lread her black book soon enough
>>31507062That's gonna be another treasured memory, one we'll likely have to/willingly offer up to pull off the bomb plan. At least it can be regenerated, at the cost of Mylen's heartrending tears...Like I said before, your strategy is sound, we've just been good enough to counter it so far. It's probably why you keep going, you're just like the dice, playing the long con. Each setback is just... momentary. You'll get what you want, just as planned. Only regret is, the payoff was delayed.
>>31507062How involved are the other eight-nine fluffy tailers in terms of being power players in Zipangu? Do they stay involved in politics and such or have they spread out away from each other to make their own power bases with less competition?
>>31507218I'm not looking for misery, just want to write a good story with you guys!>>31507229The end of the Great Crusade saw a meeting of all the over-fluff and they decided that the world was big enough for all of them, but only Tsu wanted to make a country of monsters from the gorund up so, before spreading out, they helped her (along with the water dragon) establish Zipangu and and dissapeared. However, its common pratice for all of the mto meet when a kitsune gain her ninth tails; this is how Tsukiyomi came to know Ame predicament. While Mother Earth guided her toward the right path in the swamp
>>31507456There's a clever, punny name for the ninth tail ceremony but it's far too late in the night for me to come up with it.
>>31507627Now I'm suspicious
>>31507456Too bad good for you involves a good amount of REJOICE!I call you a suffering addict for a reason you know. Not that I hate you for it, I have learned to laugh instead of cry. World's a tough place in the end, and it is always better to laugh instead of cry.Should read some of this guy's works. I do dislike how so many edgy people know not of the man who practically invented the concept of "angst". They just don't know what it means!
>>31507693I'll sleep on it. The best I can think of is The Fluffening which is far too easy.Is there such a thing as a no-tail adult kitsune that is too much of a run to have any fluffy tails?
>>31507779All I want from a story is to feel thing beside frustration at the protagonist ineptitude, I'm not hard to satisfy. On that note Ayakashibito was pretty good, if lackluster. Very promising begining that fell a bit flat here and there later on. >>31507810>Is there such a thing as a no-tail adult kitsune that is too much of a run to have any fluffy tails?Nope, you need the fluff. Only way to get rid of it is to have it cut, but then again they'll probably die afterward from the desych of the body and soul.
>>31507929And Tsu survived such a thing after being involved in a "Red Wedding" targeted at her...Damn that girl is tough. Glad we're on her side, she'd kill us dead if we "truly" betrayed her. I do wonder how Deruella will be playing all of this. She did land the dagger because of us, but we also killed her beloved lieutenant. For all that is said bad about her, she *does* care about her subordinates in her own twisted way, and we have wronged her hardcore.I just hope she'll loan us the "Black Barrel" dagger in response to Orion's fuckery. Can't let some upstart Embodiment think he's invincible after all. I do hate lawyers, but when it comes to making a geis contract, I want one on my side. If only to keep them from screwing me over in the fine print, for the specialize in that.
>>31508143Even if she offered us that dagger we'd have to do a SERIOUS gut check on if we wanted it to take it because there's no way there wouldn't be no strings attached.Tsu is love.
>>31508143>And Tsu survived such a thing after being involved in a "Red Wedding" targeted at her...She had nine tails by then and cannibalised one to keep herself alive, resulting in her constant coughing and vomiting of corruption when she start casting has she's fallen out of synch... and broke her evolutionary continuity as a Tenko, normally, she'd be losing tails until only 4 remains, thereupon making her even more nightmarish than a Kyuubi. Deruella is a believer of Épanouissement and actually tried to save her subordinate, only to ahve her mother interrupt the portal. She has every right to be angry but doesn't let emotions ruins her plans. She's playing a little waiting game.
>>31508270Damnit! It's Orion from the side of plotting. He's the brute force Khorne type that'll wreck us up front come the day of the counterattack, she's the subtle Tzeentch type that'll wreck us due to past decisions at an undetermined date and time!God this quest is hardmode at its finest. No wonder I like it so much, I do oh so ever love me a good challenge. Hope I continue to fuck you over somehow. I really want that happy ending.
>>31508459I'm totally not bitter about that clutch win at the end of Ahriman arc before his fight. Totally not.
>>31508543Didn't cover it all due to my booze habit, but glad someone else put it all together for me. If we had actually spelled it out in words we'd have been rightly fucked up the arse!Glad someone caught on to the fact that it was in HIS territory, thus meaning any iota of a fuck up meant a rod up our ass! Thank you anons for realizing that any drop of the guard meant our ass on that one. Truly, I am thankful. Ye done saved us.
>>31499002As the ability breaks the laws of magic, if we couldn't into it we would then logically be able to break the limits of human physicality.A precious memory would then equal an Eighth-Gate release, we'd have still totally owned "The Beast" by doing so, but in a different way. Instead of rapid-fire "Not-Caladbolg" archery we'd have just outmaneuvered him time and again and sliced him to tiny pieces with our sword/dagger of choice.
>>31509890That's propably how it would have gone. I hope you guys like being a gunner.
>>31510036Yep, I do. Kind of part of being a "mage". You don't move around, you don't plant your boot in the enemy's face. You sit there while your buddies defend you as you launch artillery barrages at anyone who threatens you and yours.Yes, standing in one place is a bad idea. That's what your friends are for. Protect you, so that you can protect them with powerful displays of thaumaturgy. Call down destruction only told of in modern times in a time where it shouldn't have ever been told. Because that's fucking magic, and we all know what the phrase is when it comes to magic. We ain't gotta explain shit!
>>31510188Or in this case, you can tell reality to get bent because that's what mages do
>>31510217Same difference really. Reality says you can't crystallize a sentient being. Sac a part of your soul and you can.Reality says you can't use the theoretical strength of Yx100 percent of your muscle's strength and not gib that part of your body painfully. Sac a part of your soul and you can.Only one problem. It IS your soul you're sacrificing to defy reality. You ARE paying a VERY steep toll for such power. Whether you know it or not.Power has a price, a steep one from one perspective or another. Pity so few realize that.
