"Why don't we settle this like gentlemen?"Absolutely not."What!?"Today is like yesterday, tomorrow will be just like today. You've never been a gentleman and you're not about to get started just because of some party. You brush Hawkeye and his pathetic attempt to bait you into a fight and leave the ballroom behind. You've been at this party long enough already and you've just grown sick and tired of all the social pressure that's been thrust upon you for the last few days. You decide to head out to what passes for a parking lot in this place: a paved clearing, complete with street lamps, park benches, and rows upon rows of fancy cars, all parked for the evening. Did Hawkeye fund all of this too? The wild forest stretches out beyond the parking area. You can hear the chirping of nocturnal birds and insects calling to you from just beyond the edge of civilization. Given how well the past few days have gone, you're almost tempted to just run away into the wilds and never return. You take a seat on one of the benches and take a deep breath. You try your best to relax, and it's at this point that you see how many people find smoking an attractive habit. It certainly would be nice to have some kind of rote action to distract you at the moment. You open up your collar and unbutton your jacket, letting the night air cool your head some. Honestly, you wanted nothing more than to punch Hawkeye's lights out back there...>Go for a walk in the woods.>Stay here and relax.>It's about time to head back.
>>31397048>Stay here and relax.
>>31397048>>Stay here and relax. Now it's time to have yet another Chief following and bugging us
>>31397048>Stay here and relax.I'm just hoping someone supports our resolve NOT to bite a dude's head off as responsible Overed behavior and good encroachment management in the spirit which this function was originally intended for.
>>31397048>Stay here and relaxListen to the birds, smell the cool night breeze, savor the rare moment of peaceful solitude before we are thrust back into madness.

This will prooobably be the last thread of this arc. You guys have done well to avoid true conflicts so far.
Alright, that's pretty much unanimous. Let's have a peaceful and easy going thread, guys!
>>31397582You already came all the way out here, there's no reason to get up so soon. You throw your jacket to the side and roll up your sleeves. Your stuffy, overpriced shoes come right off and you're left with some rather stinky black socks taking up the breeze. With the moonlight overhead and the soft sounds of nature calming you down, you feel more at peace than you have in a long time. Just you and your thoughts, and nothing else in the way.Hm.You know, you're kind of a boring person sometimes. Still, you embrace your otherwise empty noggin and find yourself drifting off. You can already feel the beginnings of a dream start to take you, but you don't feel like fighting them today. You're too worn out and too upset to care about whatever strange visions your brain decides to show you. Besides, it's not like a dream means anything right? The dream you have is much more abstract than your usual nightly escapes. The strange, winged monster you saw yesterday is here again, but you don't feel afraid. Instead, you see it struggling with two other creatures. A large black dog snaps at its heels, pushing it farther away from you. It is joined by a white dog of equal size, and it leaps upon the monster's wings, dragging it to the ground. The dogs are wounded, immensely so, but still they fight on. The howls and screams of the dogs and the monster intertwine, and you feel like you've heard that sound before. It's odd. This would normally be quite frightening, but instead you just feel a little sad.
>>31397886You open your eyes to find the moon has shifted in its position overhead. You must have been out for several hours now. You sense a presence to your left and you see the Chief and Claire sitting beside you. While Claire looks the same as she always has, Chief's posture and expression are furtive, and she shies away from your gaze the moment she becomes aware of you. She obviously has something to say.>Invite the Chief to speak.>Remain quiet, this is obviously hard for her.>Pretend to go back to sleep.
>>31397906Invite the chief to speak. This should be interesting
>>31397906>>Invite the Chief to speak. She isn't mad or hitting us?Aw shit, something is going down
>>31397906>Remain quiet, this is obviously hard for her.
>>31397906>Pretend to go back to sleep.if she here on her 'hero's' behalf I don't wanna hear it
>>31397906>Invite the Chief to speakNon-dickishly, if that's an option.
Okay>Counting, writing, eating pasta.
>>31398108Is the pasta good, DXR?
>>31398108You keep your mouth shut. Whatever the Chief is trying to say must be very difficult for her, so you figure trying to interrupt her or ask some questions wouldn't be in good taste. Besides, if she's just going to drone on and on about Hawkeye and how cool he is again, it will be easier for you to ignore her if you haven't already jumped in on the conversation."Wild Card. I came here...I came here to apologize for my prior conduct these past two days."Now that's something you don't hear all too often. You stay quiet and attempt to not look this gift horse in the mouth."I idolized Hawkeye. When I was in the Children's Unit, Hawkeye was how I decided I wanted to be. I thought he couldn't do any wrong, and that whatever he said was absolutely write. But, this whole party has made me rethink about how I was looking at Hawkeye."Chief puts a handkerchief up to her eye. What, is she sobbing again? You try to contain your disbelief and simply let her get everything she wants to say out."I realized that I had been forcing his values on you, on my staff, and even on myself. Hawkeye is a good leader, but not everything he does is right, nor do I agree with it. It's not proper of me to let him lead you by proxy, or to let him live my own life. So..."
>>31398481Chief gets up from her spot and turns away from you."I'm going to start administrating, no, living my own way now. It will be uncomfortable for me, at first, but I'm not going to be Hawkeye's shadow any more. So I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for how I'd been treating you, and thank you for showing me that Hawkeye can be wrong sometimes. That's all. I'll leave Claire to you."Your Chief then hobbles back inside, her gait becoming more and more awkward the closer she gets to the door. Claire nods as the Chief passes and takes her spot next to you."Isn't this good news for you, darling? All that whispering in her ear finally paid off.">Whispering in her ear?>Go back inside.>Blow off the rest of the night.>>31398465Pretty good. It's covered in a tomato pepper sauce, mixed with four cheeses and a hefty dose of crushed bacon.
>>31398502>Whispering in her ear?
>>31398502>Whispering in her ear?I swear to god, if this is just an excuse for Claire to demonstrate how whispering in someone's ear works on us...
>>31398502Hot damn, free eats and a get-out-of-party free card. The Child Unit is on its own>Blow off the rest of the night
>>31398502>Whispering in her ear?Claire, wat?
Lots of consensus lately.>writing
>>31398737Don't worry, I'm sure it won't last.
>>31398737It was a pretty useless choice. Since we're just sitting around, and we've already avoided doing our assigned job for the night, indulging Claire's weirdness doesn't actually count as work so we've got no motivation to steer clear of it.
>>31398737What's all this about whispering in ears? You're not exactly one to offer council to anybody."Oh, that was me, Captain. While I would very much like to keep you all for myself, I want the whole world to know of your greatness. So I have taken it upon myself to routinely inform anybody who will listen about your good points, and to share your enlightened opinions with them. I have been attempting subliminal conditioning on the Chief in particular, since I am keenly interested in that topic as well."You...really think she should stop doing that. It sounds like she's doing some kind of weird brainwashing to boost your popularity."Do you not like it?"No!--And so the party ended without much fanfare. The splinters of Xenos retreated back into the woods after a hearty meal, but promised to visit again if they ever got hungry. From what you heard, that's basically every day. But that sort of thing doesn't concern you, since any trouble Hawkeye runs into, you're sure he deserves. The rest of the party goers didn't really have too good of a time. In fact, it's your understanding that most of them considered it one of the most awkward nights of their lives, and many of them weren't able to get a date at all. For some reason, Rin and Angel had a sudden spike in popularity afterwards. You can even hear rumors about them from normal people as you pass down the streets. There's a paper in your hands, calling you to meet someone at a certain place and time. You recognize the handwriting as the Chief's, but other than that, there's no information. Where did it ask you to meet them again?>At old HQ.>At Hawkeye's.>At an abandoned house.
>>31399083>At an abandoned house.YOLO

>>31399214Fine, start digging into Captain's backstory you plot advancer!
I'm cutting it here. Let me see if I can sort through these. Dink around or something while I figure this out.

>>31399444Yeah, this abandoned house. Actually, it seems like this entire suburban area has been deserted, with you only seeing a few pedestrians quickly trying to leave the area instead of any real signs of life. The property values are in the sink around here, and you haven't seen more than one foot of unbroken pavement in more than twenty minutes. The house you are standing in front of would have been quaint about ten years ago. As it stands, it is overgrown with ivy, with a lawn full of waist high dying grass and surrounded by garbage of all kinds. The metal on the garage door and the gutters is rusted and dented, and the roof is missing about half its shingles. The wood is often rotted and the whole place smells like animal piss.Did the Chief really invite you to a place like this?Whatever, you open the door and step inside. The door practically falls over and you are forced to kick it out of the way to proceed. The inside of the house is as dilapidated as everything else you've seen. Moulding furniture, rotted food, and mysterious black stains cover the inside, which is otherwise completely barren. It doesn't look as if even homeless people have been inside, but the door was open. >Explore inside.>Call for someone.>Wait quietly.
>>31399860Explore, if only to find a chair in passable condition so we can sit and wait patiently.
>>31399860>Call for someone.

>>31399860>Explore inside.
>>31399860>Explore inside.I assume we'll smell miss Rosie White if she's already waiting, unless she keeps herself chemically inert via weird bloodpowers. Or not, does stink in here. Whatever.
>>31399955Agreed.
Okay, time to get started writing. I've been waiting for this part.
>>31400159And here is the part where everything bad that could happen immediately happens to captain.
>>31400159Brace for lolivamp rape

>>31400265AKA the best kind of rape.
>>31400308And your point is?Anyway, could you put you finger right here?
>>31400254>>31400265Just as planned.
You reach into your pocket and pull out your cell phone. There's no way this can be right, can it? The moment you press a single key on the pad, you feel a rumbling beneath your feet. You spin around in time to see the doorway get sealed shut by a slab of steel. All around you, the walls are giving way, being replaced by a metal cage. What's more, the floor has started to sink into the ground, going down and down. This house isn't just some abandoned lodging. It's an elevator!A terrible grinding alerts you to the speed of the mechanism. You're descending faster now. You glance to your phone, but the reception is already dead. Whatever's in these walls must have cut the signal somehow. What's more, what little light was in the house has faded, and you're left with only the glow from your phone to see. There's nothing you can do but wait until you get to the bottom to regain your bearings. As the elevator screeches to a halt, you hear the sound of a fan. It's a working air conditioning system. And what's more, you hear the stable clicking and beeping of electronic equipment. Probably quite old by the sound of them. Just where are you...?Suddenly, the lights come on, blinding you for a moment. You look around to finally get a glimpse of where you're at. It's a plain room, with concrete walls, reinforced by layers of steel. You see many smaller rooms, each covered with a plate of glass. All of them are covered with dirt and what looks like dried blood. Equipment litters the room, and there are many desks with old dusty papers on them."So here you are after all this time. I hardly recognized you, Subject One."You look around to find the source of the voice, but you can't pin down their location. What's going on?>Stay calm and stay where you are.>Make a run for it. Anywhere but here.>Try to taunt the voice.
>>31400578"Can I at least have a chair?"
>>31400578>>Stay calm and stay where you are. With a bit of>Try to taunt the voice.thrown in.
>>31400578>Make a run for it. Anywhere but here.I don't think that chilling out here would be relaxing at all.

>>31400608This so much.
>>31400578>Make a run for it. Anywhere but here.

>>31400578>Stay calm and stay where you are.
>>31400608I'm not dealing with this BS standing, second
>>31400608I'm with this guy
>>31400608If you really want a chair, they're around. You know, to go with the desks. You don't need to ask.
>>31400794Well, still, it's rude not to just come up and offer one.And where the hell are the tea and snacks?!
>>31400578>>Make a run for it. Anywhere but here.
>>31400578>Stay calm and stay where you are.We need to relax and think. We can't fucking go running like a idiot.
Alright, let me count this up, grab a smoke, then get started.
>>31400853Really this person doesn't know the first thing about accommodating guests.
>>31400721Had to be Captain. He sort of drifts off whenever the subject of his past comes up, and did the same with "Subject One".Also I totally just finished Words of Radiance and similar behavior was a major plot point.Of course this wrecks what we thought we knew about the character. Are we Revan, or just a test subject who got mindwiped back to normality?
>>31400949Didn't even bother cleaning up this pigsty! My lord, there's practically vermin living in here! No, really, I can see two rats fucking in a desk drawer over there.
>>31400950AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>>31400905You decide to stand your ground. You don't know what's going on, but any rash reactions might get you in more trouble than all of this is worth. You take a chair from one of the nearby desks and sit down. You're not relaxing as much as trying to steel yourself. You can feel your knees shaking just from being in this place, and you don't want that to show. As you take a seat, you hear a sharp clang as one of the steel walls slides down and someone walks out. It's an older gentleman, dressed in a typical lab coat. A pair of small wire-frame glasses covers his face, and his unkempt blond hair shows a few streaks of grey. An old badge pinned to his chest has his picture on it, of a much younger man, but all the text on it has long since faded away or been obscured with water stains. "Subject One. The first and only success of the AIR project. How I have wondered and wondered about how you were doing. Do you remember me?"Of course you don't know this guy, it's your first meeting. Besides, you think you'd remember cryptic old men."Really? I don't think you were scheduled for a memory reconstruction. No matter, you were very young anyway. Perhaps it is just something that happens with time. A feeling I'm far too familiar with."He draws up his own chair and takes a seat in front of you, producing a clipboard and a pen. He takes a few notes after looking you over and then sets the item aside."So, how are you feeling these days? Healthy? Active? Getting in your proper hygiene?">You're fine.>You're not answering anything until you get this guy's name.>Is this some kind of joke? You've had enough of this nonsense.
>>31401317>You're fine.
>>31401317>>You're fine.
>>31401317>>You're fine.Although I would appreciate a refresher on the AIR project...
>>31401317>AIRThat's "Artificially Induced Renegade" isn't it? Captain's a made-to-order Overed.>You're fine."What can you tell me about Subject Seven?"
>>31401317>You're not answering anything until you get this guy's name.Really catering is not this guys forte. I mean hell he hasn't event tried to offer drinks.
>>31401317>You're fine.What even is this.
I've got a class early this morning so I'll probably have to go to bed before this is over. It'll clash with the mood a bit, but I want to share this before the thread ends:http://pastebin.com/Zm6ZcjCNI've done one of those smut things people keep talking about. I hope you all enjoy.
>>31401437>HawkeyexHawkeyeThe only canon pairing.

>>31401501>yfw you realize that Hawkeye IS an adult
>>31401437Even HatofulOculus deserves to be happy. In Fanfic, at least.
>>31401501You're fine. "Oh, is that so? Good, great."The man picks his clipboard back up and flips through a few pages, making various notes. He doesn't seem to pay the strange location any mind, and continues like he's giving a normal checkup."Now then, still just a Chimera, yes? No new Syndromes appearing? No abnormalities or difficulties in manifesting your Renegade abilities?"You haven't had any issues. But that's not the point, you really need some answers on-"A Purebreed to the core, huh? I suppose given your parents, this is to be expected. On the subjects of breeds and breeding, you're not sexually active, are you? You haven't had any accidents yet? Should I be worried about you making some rugrats while I'm not looking?"No, not even if Claire begged you (and she already has). But wait, what was that about your parents? What does he know about them? They're perfectly normal and...You wince as a sharp pain goes through your head. Your parents...what were they like again? You can't seem to recall at the moment."Claire, did you say? Ah, you mean Battle Doll. She's such a cute thing. Now, you didn't hear this from me, but you better not let her go," the old man peers at you from over his clipboard, "Girls like that are hard to come by. I should know. Divorced three times!"Wait, just hold on a moment."Now, let's see. How many people have you killed so far?">None.>...Two.>This has to stop.
>>31401763>None.But, no, wait, about those parents...
>>31401763>...Two.More if you count the ones who got better. And the problem isn't Captain letting go, it's Claire not releasing her death grip.

>>31401878On that note, ask if he's going to respect doctor/patient confidentiality.>>31401921Captain's parents I'm pretty sure. He's the monster in the dream, the dogs are his parents. Claire either sparked the transformation or put him down.
>counting, writing, looking up some Miku
>>31402010...Two. But wait. Diablos resurrected both times. You haven't killed anyone else. You've certainly beat people senseless but killing them is, is. Wait, didn't you kill some people? You can remember snapping their neck in your mouth. The taste of fresh blood. The sound of the bones breaking. You shake your head. Is this guy messing with your mind somehow?"Oh, you've been holding back I see. It's always better to use your words than your fists, after all. Never underestimate the power of diplomacy and a rational mind. Moving on, moving on..."He scribbles something down before dropping the clipboard. The notes seem to vanish into thin air as he takes a more thoughtful pose, resting his head on his hands. Before you know what's happened, there's a cup of coffee in his hands, and you find a similar mug already in your own. Just when..."So let's chat. How do you feel these days? Not your body, but your mind. Are you happy? Are you fulfilled? Given what you've told me, I suspect you may be holding yourself back."What? That's utter nonsense. If anything, you've been driven to the edge more times than you can count ever since these bumbling idiots showed up. This guy doesn't have a clue."Now, now. You can be open with me. Tell me, you've felt it haven't you? That burning hunger? A desire for carnage? Perhaps a need to ravage someone? Or perhaps..." He folds his hands and gives you a gentle smile, "It was all three? Tell me, who was it? Who filled you with desire?">...a girl.>No, you won't answer any more of these ridiculous questions.

>>31402503I can't give away everything at once.
>>31402516You realize that we've made it this far in the arc without punching someone's face in?I mean, I love character interaction, it's my favorite thing about quests, but sometimes you really want to punch someone's face in.

>>31402484...a girl. You know you've felt it. In the back of your mind. You wanted to tear her apart. You wanted to taste her blood. You wanted to take her without warning. You wanted to hear her scream. You've felt all of that, even if it was just for a moment. It won't do you any good to deny it, he clearly already knows. Even if it makes you sick, you know that this is a part of you now."Wonderful...Wonderful! Amazing!"The man throws away his cup, rejoicing in earnest. "You feel it! You really feel it! This means there's hope! This means that we can go on!"Just what is he so happy about? You aren't thrilled to know that there's some sick part of you that wants all this crap. You stand up and grab him by the collar. You're done giving out answers. Now you get to ask some questions.Just who the hell is this guy?"Ahh, well...I'm sort of bashful about all this. You see, I'm famous but I'd rather keep that a secret from people who don't know. You can just call me the Doctor. How's that?"So, Doc. Just what's the big idea with this crazy stunt? "Oh, I just wanted to see for myself how well you're developing. It wouldn't do to find someone who didn't have a hint of madness to them. But you've got the spark. You will definitely do just fine in time!"You punch him. Hard. You send the old man across the room with a single blow, watching his body crumple up as he collides with the opposite wall. You can still hear him laughing as his body begins to stitch itself together. As you thought, he's not just an Overed, he's..."A Germ! Yes! But so much more now, and with your help, I...no, we can all go even higher. But that is for another day," His head pops up, still twisted and bloodied. His eyes are glowing a soft green, and his voice is making your ears bleed, "Why don't you just enjoy yourself for the rest of the day? Just let yourself go."
>>31402917Hold on, he can't just...You meet his eyes and you lose it. Everything in your mind suddenly gives way to primal emotion. Fear, anger, joy, hunger, but most of all...desire. You want her here, now.You double over as you hold yourself together. Your body aches as it tries to change against your will, and you find it hard to focus your vision. Your heart is racing. You break out into a sweat."Still fighting it? Well, enjoy yourself then. I trust you'll see yourself out when you're finished."You can barely see. Your stomach feels like it's eating itself alive. Your breath comes out labored and hard. Even so, you can see him surrounded by a nimbus of green light and then simply disappear. You would question it more, but you're having trouble just staying in control. As the lights on the facility all go out, it's all you can do to keep yourself together.Time has no meaning as you struggle against yourself. Has it been hours or minutes? Days, or just a couple seconds? But despite all the pain and all the madness, eventually the episode passes. Struggling on the floor, barely conscious, your body finally comes back under your control. You roll over and take a deep breath, forced to face your own thoughts again. Alone, in the dark of this strange place, you finally come to terms with what happened to you those many months ago. You're not really human anymore, are you?[Thread End]

>>31402991>>31403117So far as I can tell, he wants to eat her and fuck her *at the same time*.
>>31403128Pretty fucking much.Lunatic high might help him out if he just goes fucking crazy. Fuck and Eat.
So, did you guys like it? Will archive shortly then head to bed. New arc next time. This little bit at the end is mostly a set up for the following arcs as we start to really get into the meat of all this (not that I have a lot of substance here, really).
>>31403226To be perfectly frank, it felt like a weak thread. The choices didn't seem significantly different from each other in terms of the outcomes they'd produce and I've sort of come away with the sense that you might as well have just writefagged the whole thing as a scripted interlude and then started us off in the next thread. It's a bit disappointing, because the rest of this arc has been pretty strong.
>>31403268I agree with you. This thread was basically cut content from last thread, since various real constraints kept that from happening in a timely fashion. I've tried to keep threads like this from happening, but I'm still really new to this whole thing and mistakes are bound to happen.
>>31403323You've had a good run so far. One bad thread out of twenty is allowable. As long as you recognize where it failed everything's forgiven.
>>31403354I work tomorrow but if this thread is still around when I get home, I can see about filling it out with more "cut content" to help offset that as I usually try to do when there's not enough content in an arc for me to get a full final thread out.
Bump through the night.
Boomp?
Curious, just how long was Captain out, and who did he hurt?f
>>31406987Don't think he hurt anyone, the whole place was locked down pretty tight and with no one else inside. He just went on a mental trip.
>>31407082That's the best kind of trip.
>>31409732thank goodness...hope we weren't gone long...or we were.If we were gone long then Cheif and Claire must be pitching a fit.
What I'm getting from this is that everyone knows who we are and what's happened to us except for ourself, and that everyone who sort-of counts as being on our side is keeping it from us.Problem: We know that the UGN's policies on censorship and secrecy are in place to keep Overed from going over the edge, and as much ass as being kept in the dark sucks if they're doing it it's a fair bet that it's actually for our own good.Complication: We're already crazy anyway. Oops. What are we going to do about this?
>>31410374Go even crazier. It's not like it can hurt at this point, and who knows maybe some good ol' bloodlust will clear the mental cobwebs.
>>31410495What would be the funniest way to go crazy for a Chimera, though? Something like having a whole "I am the perfect predator!" routine leading up to something anticlimactic like stalking and eating birds that land in our backyard?
>>31410900Then, we become our own house car monster wolf.
>>31410900You ever see those videos of dinosaurs getting it on with cars? I was thinking to replicate that, but with a hell beast composed of equal parts fur and scales.
>>31410374Probably try and figure out exactly why it seems all his lust/other unimportant emotions are so sealed up. >>31412035>Claire in the background>Decides it's the captains fetish.
>>31410900>Something like having a whole "I am the perfect predator!" Doesn't feel animalistic enough. Needs less rational thought.
Bumpticopter.
>>31410900Someone said in a previous thread that Captain would likely just change into an uncaring monster that basically just slept all day and just went out for food occasionally while basically ignoring/destroying anything that tried to get in his way like a standard apex predator. Not exactly funny but it seems the most in character.Someone also mentioned that the way to regain his humanity is just Claire annoying him with her constant flirting til he comes to his senses just so he can yell at her to shut up. Basically an inversion of the power of love calming the berzerker cliche.
Rolled 2>>31413798I honestly kind of see him just kind of going full beast mode. Prey dies. Allies are protected. Everything else is ignored.
>>31413848That's a bit vanilla. If you're gonna go FULL BEAST mode, it should be beastier than that. You don't have allies, you have subordinate packmates. You protect them because you're the pack alpha and that's what you do, and they do what you tell them to because that's what they do, and if they don't you lay on the hurt until they do. Also, fucking bitches all day erry day.Claire'd be ecstatic, but I doubt the others'd take to it well.
Rolled 2>>31413930Yeah I mainly think that just because Cap personality wise is pretty lax. Which would lead to him being pretty ignore happy. Unless he is like massively repressed in which case shit is going to get crazy if he loses it. Just imagine everything he feels about Claire alone coming out at once. Let alone Diablololi.>Claire'd be ecstaticShe'd proably realize it isn't the normal cap. So she might like it or she might hate it.
>>31414436>Unless he is like massively repressedWasn't that what this entire thread with Doc Gjaum was getting at? Captain IS repressed, and when that repression stops he goes a little bit crazy.Could be that Captain's repression is a counter to the mass of ragemurderrapedestroy that is his Chimera instincts.
Rolled 58>>31414824>ragemurderrapedestroy Moe captain is moe!
>>31415185I finally found a picture that encapsulates my feelings as to that statement, and I now share it with you.
Oh geez you guys really kept it alive, huh? Well, since you did, let me go take a shower, clean up, get some gatorade in me, and then I'll see about giving you guys some more content (even if it's just answering some lore questions). You can leave some suggestions if you want, it would make my life easier.
>>31416324Has there ever been a full scale Overed rampage that the public is aware of?
>>31416324Which emotion was stronger in the Cap during his mental shitstorm? Lust? Rage? Hunger?
>>31416324What scenarios have come up where UGN would need child assassins.
>>31416646Incidents too large to completely sweep under the rug are often labeled other things, such as terrorist attacks.>>31416667There was basically no meaningful difference between those emotions. The desire to destroy, defile, and consume links all of those urges into one psychotic whole.>>31416955Criminal rings frequently make use of Overed to evade legitimate law authorities. The slave trade of young Overed sometimes necessitates someone who is purposefully captured to destroy it from the inside. Battle Doll undertook many missions of that nature. This is only one example of that kind of mission.
>>31417098Have the technologies used to cover up the existence of the Renegade and the Overed been put to use in any other areas? The ability to modify peoples' memories like that seems like something an enormous number of fairly powerful people would want to obtain and use.
>>31417098When Captain said there was girl, which one of those so far introduced do YOU think is the one?
>>31417334Government Based Overed organizations certainly do use it for less than noble purposes, but the UGN generally frowns on such things and meddles as much as possible.>>31417340My guess is that it would be the girl that he's almost constantly thinking about, and also the girl you guys have the largest reaction to.
>>31417098Which grill is best grill?
>>31417581The portion of the population that hasn't been infected by the Renegade: have they just not been exposed properly, or are they immune? Are there covert breeding programs in place to try to increase their numbers proportional to the infection-prone populace? You said earlier that Overed are permitted to marry and bear/sire children. Can we assume from this that the Renegade does not alter the germline or infect the infant as it shares the mother's blood?>>31417669Foreman.
>>31417669Weber-chan, of course!
>>31417581This is somewhat meta, but is there a chance that Capt'n would have gotten some papers or files from the abandoned not-house research facility?
I think getting the rampaging Captain taken out would be a good end point for this quest.
>>31417669The best girl is the girl you like.>>31417711>The portion of the population that hasn't been infected by the Renegade: have they just not been exposed properly, or are they immune? Some humans possess a natural immunity to the Renegade, known as an Anti-Warding or Anti-Renegade Factor. However, by and large, the majority of them simply haven't been meaningfully touched by the Renegade. Either their exposure has been limited or the infection simply didn't take hold and passed through like so many of the thousands of infections you didn't get today.>Can we assume from this that the Renegade does not alter the germline or infect the infant as it shares the mother's blood? It's inconsistent. Many times, nothing happens. The fetus/infant was exposed to the Renegade but it just never develops, or they possess the Anti-Renegade Factor as previously mentioned. Other times, the child is born an Overed. These "natural" Overed often display different or unusual focuses in their Renegade abilities. In the worst cases, the child is born a Germ. This typically results in the deaths of everyone involved.>>31417807He could have, definitely.
>>31417872Do hospitals now secretly screen for natal Germs the same way they screen for less extreme developmental problems?
>>31417915It would be impossible to really tell until the child is born or very late term. The Renegade appears to wait to fully manifest until its host is properly developed. While accelerated growth and aging is not beyond the Renegade, most Overed and Germs age at a normal rate and this extends to gestation.
>>31417956When a Renegade-related incident occurs within the sovereign territory of a country with its own governmental Overed program, does the UGN cede them jurisdiction, or are there treaties and agreements worked out or what?
>>31417956Which of the girls Captain knows is the most skilled with their powers? How much does the terrorist organization really know about the cap.?
>>31418020Only countries which have agreed to host the UGN allow it to operate within their territory. Otherwise, any UGN activity there is clandestine and will likely be met with military force and sanctions. In countries which allow the UGN to operate, the UGN is generally allowed the right of first response. This not only saves the Government time and money, but allows them to stay back and evaluate the potential threat. Government Overed Agencies are typically only used for political and military responses, rather than administering to the needs of Overed.
How about writing a day in the life of Seven or Miss Heavenly Narcotics?
>>31417872Are there any factions of humans that carry the A-R Warding that fight against Renegade related factions. Like something from WoD's Hunter: The Vigil? If so, how dedicated are they to their goals.
>>31418093By "political responses," do you mean espionage or Overed-powered diplomacy?
>>31418070>Which of the girls Captain knows is the most skilled with their powers?Claire by a landslide. She is the most practiced and most disciplined. After that, it's Chief, who has an intuitive and natural understanding of her powers.>How much does the terrorist organization really know about the cap.?More than Captain, less than the UGN.
>>31418126I think the Warding just makes you immune to infection, not to Renegade-granted powers wielded by other people.
>>31418146I know, I just was thinking that there might be some sort of Delta Green organization or some super-secret cult that hunts them down for some reason or other.
>>31418095I'll try to get some writefagging out by next time, then. I can't make any promises, but I'll try.>>31418126This guy >>31418146 has it right. There are certainly armed groups with the Anti-Warding factor that are trained to fight Overed, but they are all true parts of national military. They have almost all been phased out in favor of Overed squads. As a related side note, known Overed are ranked by governments by what fighting force they are considered equal to. Claire is a Battalion-class Overed.>>31418127Mostly espionage. A little of the latter, but most are nervous about having an Overed as a face-man.
>>31418268>Claire is a Battalion-class Overed.Damn. What are we ranked as?
>>31418268>Claire could take 300+ fighting menHoly shit, what?
>>31418268Who wins in a fight: Battle Doll or Subject One? No items, Final Destination.
>>31418366Captain is a relative unknown, and hasn't been ranked. Diablos, however, is considered a Brigade-class Overed. >>31418377Keep in mind that this is compared to a conventional fighting force. Their classification means little to a fight between Overed. Shining Void is a Platoon-class, but she can easily incapacitate higher ranked Overed.
>>31418377Her overcoming Seven through sheer force of will didn't tell you she was the biggest badass in the quest?
>>31418398Battle Doll. However, Subject One and Captain are different people, as are Battle Doll and Claire (Speeding Bullets).
>>31418436Crikey. So that's our end potential?
>>31418436>Compared to a conventional forceOkay that makes a lot of sense really. Claire given her build would have a lot of long range shit and area attacks to spam and she can turn invisible and shit.
>>31418471I'm aware, which is why I phrased it like that
>>31418472Something like that. There are Overed that have been rated as Army-class, and there is even one that is Theater-class. But again, that is compared to normal fighting forces. Overed don't measure up against each other that easily.
>>31418565So basically, there are Overed whose abilities make them excel in single combat, and other Overed whose abilities aren't that powerful compared to stuff like Chimera or Angel Halo, but have a wide area of effect.
I keep wanting to see a balor+those guys that make a domain class to show up. That would be such hilarious bullshit.
>>31418639Pretty much. Some Overed are built for mass destruction, and that's what governments rank them as. There are exceptions, of course, but that's the gist of it.
>>31418565>theater-classOkay I have to ask. Is this person a purebreed? or one of those with 2,3 powers.
>>31418649I think we've already fought an Orcus.
>>31418744The leader of the actual Xenos displays every known Syndrome. She's been defeated (but not killed) by UGN agents before, but she is considered the most capable of multi-national level devastation.
>>31418783>every known SyndromeJesus fucking Christ.
>>31418774Yeah I keep hoping for a balor/Orcus twin breed. Just because of how hilarious bullshit that would be.
>>31418649You fought one. It was the kid at the Athletics Meet.
>>31418806Yeah that's a "Get the fucking army out here. Get me all the Overeds" Moment.
>>31418806Thankfully, she's not very interested in getting her hands dirty directly. The last time she acted, however, the number of Renegade Beings skyrocketed. She was also killed and put out of action for almost a decade. She got better, but she still doesn't like it very much.
>>31418471>Speeding BulletsThat name always gets me.>>31418838Got to ask before I pass out. Can Hawkeye walk the walk or is he all talk?
>>31418936Hawkeye has never failed a mission, and is an Overed who did not receive any special training. He's very, very good at what he does.
>>31418977How much older than Captain is he and why did he think it would look good for a grown man to physically slap down a teenaged boy who isn't even part of his organization like that?
>>31419039Hawkeye is 20. Hawkeye also considers himself an old style gentleman, where settling matters with a duel isn't so bad.
>>31419068>old style gentleman>isn't old enough to grow a full beardThese people. Is he an orphan, too? Is EVERYONE orphans? Do any of the named characters have living parents?
>>31419068>where settling matters with a duel isn't so bad.Honestly if he wasn't so abrasive. That wouldn't be all that bad of a trait.
>>31419099Hawkeye's parents are very much alive. So are Rin's and Fallen Angel's. By the way, Rin's brother was never actually captured. In more dialogue that got cut because I couldn't find a good place for it, Diablos was just pinching off fake bits of meat to fool her.
>>31419099>isn't old enough to grow a full beard>He hasn't seen 20 year olds with full beards before.
>>31419157Who do you think the overall most crazy girl the captain knows?
>>31419375Seven. She's violently anti-social and only kept in line by her fear of Claire's reprisal. Otherwise, she really would have gutted everyone to escape.
>>31419452So who's still saying that she's the best-adjusted girl of the lot?
>>31419452>gutting Captain>slowing him downThose two are going to be the world's worst couple when the inevitable happens.Worst for everyone else I mean.
>>31419496Yeah, she's not really. She would think nothing of killing Captain (even if it wouldn't stick) just to take a short walk. Thankfully for everyone involved, Claire traumatized her when they fought.
Would Seven make a good hat?
>>31419838It's hard for her to do more complex stuff. Weaving herself into a ribbon is already pretty complex. Other Exiles are more skilled at that.
>>31419528I suddenly see the Cap. looking down and seeing his guts before just stuffing them back in and walking off.
>>31419619>traumatizedPoor seven ;_;
>>31419619Would Domination howl and fluffy fur be able to sway her heart any?Just, you know, for curiosity's sake.
>>31420351Seven is very selfish and not the type to fawn.
>>31419619Still a better waifu than the Chief.
>>31420351>Domination howlI think honestly that would more scare the shit out of her then anything.
>>31420503Main thing with her is one would have to use force to keep her under control. The chef all it really takes is telling her to shut it.
>>31420550You raise a reasonable point, but please consider my counterpoint: The Chief a shit.Seven is best accessory and best grill.
>>31420550>>31420597Claire is best grill because she is the alpha bitch and everyone knows it. She's just nice enough to let Chief posture.
>>31420597>best grill. For me Claire is top just due to how amusing it is to see the cap. act like he is bipolar around her. After that is Seven/Rin in a tie.
>>31420597Wait...Seven can cook? When did that happen?
>>31420529Though people have no idea just how much I want to one day in the last thread of a arc toss a Domination Howl at some random person. Like seriously could you imagine being just a normal guy then suddenly having the Captain does it out you?
>>31420691Charbroiling still counts as cooking, right?>>31420667The only problem is that Claire is too much of a slut to be a pure, virginal waifu. She's a great character, don't get me wrong, but -40/10 would not bang. I bet she's cultivated entire new strains of Renegade in her flappy, worn-out vagina.
>>31420774While Claire masturbates furiously, she has been saving herself for her future husband. There is no particular reason for this beyond her understanding that this will raise her appeal.
>>31420719Hell why not do it retroactively on the kids table? That should make an interesting write up.
>>31420774>Charbroiling still counts as cooking, right?I tend to count it more as setting things on fire and putting them out than cooking.
>>31420410So, as she has Malignant narcissism, if we show ourselves as sadistic and someone to follow with her as our subordinate, she might very well attach herself to us then.In theory anyway.
>>31420807Yeah, I bet she masturbates. With dozens of dicks attached to anonymous men.I bet she's one of those "Oh, blowjobs and anal don't count as actual sex, right?" people.>>31420827But, anon, that sounds like work.
>>31420807Best grill also. >masturbates furiously>FuriouslyI don't know why but this both makes me say best girl and laugh.
>>31420867>Yeah, I bet she masturbates. With dozens of dicks attached to anonymous men.>I bet she's one of those "Oh, blowjobs and anal don't count as actual sex, right?" people.No. Claire actually considers some things to be sex that actually aren't. Such as (in her phrasing) "advanced tongue play".
>anyone>better than the ChiefMore seriously though, DXR, I was fully expecting to see her all the way up until "[Thread End]". I think Captain should have some questions for her. That was supposed to be a reward for agreeing to deal with Hawkeye?I am looking forward to seeing what it means that she will be living her own way now, though.
>>31420899Wasn't the reward some 'alone time' to let the Captain release some tension?
>>31420898Actually got to ask. Is there really a limit to what the Captain if he ever felt like it could convince Claire to do? Like something she would never really do.
>>31420807Wait a minute, did you just imply that she's always been like this? It's not the Captain, specifically, she's just turned all the way on all the time normally?>>31420949Tell him who he actually is. Isn't it sad, Captain?
>>31420949Kill an innocent person. Sleep with another man. Betray her overall sworn duty. Those kinds of things.
>>31420975>she's just turned all the way on all the time normally?Sounds like some women I know.
>>31421002So, did our encroachment spike after/during the epilogue or am I just jumping to conclusions?
>>31420975Claire has always been enthralled with the idea of meeting someone special and becoming a wife and mother. That is her fetish. She hadn't picked someone out before, but it was certainly something she fantasized about. A lot.
>>31421012Stop lying, anon. Everyone knows real women don't like sex. That's why we watch our Chinese girl cartoons.>>31421002>Sleep with another man.The Captain's cuckolding fetish is doomed to go forever unfulfilled.
Rolled 20>>31421002>with another manSo, if she was to seduce someone like Rin or something for Captain sake it's fine?I see, I see.
>>31421102Yes. It's less of a problem for her, mostly because she could consider the right girls cute and harmless enough. Other men disgust her, as she mentioned.
>>31421053>Everyone knows real women don't like sex. That's why we watch our Chinese girl cartoons.Ah, Those where the days me and this one chick watching hentai for laughs. Feel kind of sad those days are over and now everyone I meet in the anime community in real life makes me want to hang myself in shame.>>31421138Captain!! ;_; There is so many amusing orders he could give her to keep her busy.
>>31421138If she were under guard by Claire but allowed more freedom around the house, would Seven try to make a break for it, or has is she too scared of Claire to even try anymore?
>>31421296There's really no reason to let her out from under guard, knowing what we know in character or out.>>31421138>has always been enthralled with the idea of meeting someone special and becoming a wife and mother>~100% of men on the planet disgust herClaire is going to have a hard time in life.
>>31421296If it was in that case would could probably keep some form of control by telling Claire in front of her "If she tries to escape you have permission to go all out on her."Though This is just me assuming that she won't try to shank our asses.
>>31421369Except she's decided Captain is the one for her, hasn't she?
>>31421296She would make a break for it the moment Claire's watch lapsed. >>31421369>Claire is going to have a hard time in life.Claire's the type to nitpick someone to death over what most people would consider to be irrelevant details. Captain is somehow an exception.
Wonder if anyone is still up for gaming with Seven? It would be fun to see Seven complaining about Captain spending the majority of the day bothering her with games while he ponders the possibility of turning into a Germ and biting her head off.
>>31421369Not if she replaces those one hundred percent with the Captain's kids.
>>31421408Definitely still up for it.>>31421418What, she'd fuck her kids?
>>31421406Alright, if this is something you'd rather not answer that's fine, but is there a way to actually win over Seven to the Captain side?
>>31421405Normally there's supposed to be a part where the potential husband decides that he's okay with the idea as well, anon.Though if Claire ever gets it into her head that Captain has an Amazon fetish, she might decide to shotgun wedding him to make him happy.>>31421418What, to fuck? Dude. Why?
>>31421453Does Captain have a side to win people over to? That sounds like a lot of effort.
>>31421453Seven already thinks Captain is kinda cool for a person, or at least less annoying than the others. The problem is that Seven just doesn't value human life very much right now.
>>31421448What? No, I meant having something kill off pretty much everyone but the two.
>>31421490>right nowI'd be disappointed if we could actually change Seven's views on that, but it be amusing if we got her to make a few exceptions.
>>31421465>Normally there's supposed to be a part where the potential husband decides that he's okay with the idea as well, anon. When has that ever stopped the crazy ones from pursuing their true rabu?
>>31421541She doesn't fantasize about endlessly trying to woo her dream guy, anon, she fantasizes about actually marrying him and then filling a small house with his crotchspawn.Like I said: Hard life.
>>31421571>marrying him and then filling a small house with his crotchspawn>Imagining Claire and the Captain having kids.Oh, God almighty.
>>31421659The sad thing is that Captain would be the good parent in that combo. Claire's read the books but she's awful with children.
>>31421681>Captain would be the good parentThat sentence should never be spoken and be true.
>>31421712Captain would be an okay parent. More hands off than is common now (that's a good thing) and really distant but he'd do the little things to show he cares. And he'd probably keep a leash on Claire's more extreme tendencies, so there's that.
>>31421802>"Daddy loves you!">"Just make sure to avoid annoying him enough. Otherwise he might star howling.">"Whats so bad about that.">"You don't want to know."
>>31421571>She doesn't fantasize about endlessly trying to woo her dream guy, anon, she fantasizes about actually marrying him and then filling a small house with his crotchspawn. And tending a nice garden. Don't forget the garden.
>>31421943>Nice gardenOh God she one of those "White fence with Dogs and kids." type isn't she.
>>31421872Wouldn't the threat be "Or else he'll let her bring back the Children's Unit"?>>31421943How are her gardening skills anyway?
>>31421943Only a monster wouldn't dream of that.Sure, actually doing the work is hell but it's nice to dream about having a nice garden.
>>31421973Well, maybe not the dog. If Captain would just cooperate he can provide the fluffy tail.
>>31421973That's her life goal.>>31421981Pretty good, of course. She has the technical aspects down pat.
>>31421995>If Captain would just cooperateNever.
>>31417872>The best girl is the girl you like. But the girl I like is shit!
