OPENING>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F468us4qCUEPreviously: A Young Rocket went on a rescue mission to save civilian lives from a shipwreck out at sea. To her surprise and dismay, the ship's repel-tech system had been compromised by a breach in the hull, setting the stage for unknowns to lurk within. After witnessing an older ranger die in a split second, the young Rocket committed to killing the perpetrator and following another to the source.Meeting with an Esper leader of the brutal sea monsters, the young rocket attempted to talk down the hostiles, interrupted by the intrusion of a Tentacruel that sought to drown the ship.Escaping with her life and her friend, the Young Rocket was swept away be a powerful underwater current to a land far and unknown.Awaking upon a beach, she found herself to be lost and alone. In seeking out her friend, she met Kurojo of the Kahkori and his mentor, Mukon. As fortune would have it, the friendly humanoid "monsters" led her to their home, Kakarkiko village with promises of assistance in finding her friend.Spending too much time idling, sunset caught them by surprise and the Young Rocket, along with a scared young boy set out into the dark. Finding her friend, and slaying the dreaded Nar-Kage in the process of return, she secured her new friend's position as a man and hunter, while making a name for herself amongst the tribe.Though she fell ill, it is soon time for her to awaken to continue finding her way home! >>31394553>Net Change: +1 CharmUh, shouldn't it be +2? 1+2-1 =2Also, I suggest we save the points for now.
>>31394553one more point in icy wind and rest, at least.
>>31394652Ah, right. fixing that in the bin.
>>31394553>19+1-1+2=20?No, Prof. It's 21.>Charm(20) Modifies ( +0) to rolls associated with cuteness, friendliness, and subversion. (20+ Sentients with either Tenacity or Charm lower than 10 can be automatically succeeded against so long as they are non-hostile.)>+0PROF WHAT
>>31394553wanna see bird bro training before spending anything
>>31394553Damn. Ten went down? I was hoping the cure would fix that...sigh.
>>31394553Well, the stat upgrades were kinda disappointing. But hey, eeps. Also, it should be +2 charm. And our pastebin says we have +0 to Charm rolls.Spend 1 point to get Psybeam up to 2. Save the rest for Kahkori Training.
>>31394553>Charm at 21HeheheSo what does it dooooo
>>31394553Do we get anything extra for actually not being weak to Steel against the Nar-Kage?
>>31394553I feel like putting 2 points into Ice Shards would be good, since it would raise Icicle Gun to rank 4. We use IG a lot.
>>31394553I was hoping our TEN would go up, but I suppose it's realistic that it would go down instead after all that.
>>31394731***Stats at each 10 will autosucceed against foes with combined stats two tiers down.***Example: 8 will fail against 20/ 12 will fail against 30Also, higher stats can adjust your appearance.
>>31394791>adjust appearanceWe need high charm and ten.I must see it.

>>31394791Combined stats two tiers lower?Uh...so like>Charm 21 vs enemy with 8 charm is auto success? That's useful, less rolls the better...Oh, also we need to do some Ten training or something. Being sickly is not good.

Finally got through the backlog. Also Psybeam +1. We can still get 3-4 ranks in aura skills and we have no other ranged moves if something resists Ice. It also counts towards ice beam creation so we aren't losing momentum.
>>31395078Ice Beam?I think we should rank up Quick Attack, though, so we can chain it with all our attacks and give them all priority.
>>31395078I would like to spend these minor points in aura moves, yes.
Tabletop guy here, the results are in, our party is a Scyther, Sneasel, and Pineco. Pineco player takes great pride in the fact explosion is on his list. I am disappointed that nobody took the Rhyhorn or Mudkip grafts that were offered, but such is life in AoPH-Hoenn. I really should have started them in Johto, considering their choices. Also rolling random pokemon for graft selection may have been a mistake.
>>31395111Upping quick attack and our ice skills could also get us Ice Shard for that type bonus.
remember, fancy attack getters:Rest is amazing. As is that thing that heals us from status in water.
>>31395174We won't have much left over for any possible Aura skills, though.Quick Attack, I think, is the most important thing we should learn right now. Psybeam is nice and all, but Quick Attack has so much more synchronicity with our other moves.
>>31395225Right, yeah. Save some for Aura - that's the upside to being here.Everything else can be learned on our own.
I care not for stats and experience.Take me to the little girls waking up from sickness.
I say stock up for Kahkori training.Everything else can be learned at other times, but birdbro skills can only be learned from birdbros. Also what >>31395277 said.Fatloli wakeup when?
I don’t know how you guys haven’t figured out who our father is. We’ve inherited some of his moves (Snarl particularly), his initial favoring towards Ice-type moves, his stats, his viciousness (when we go into Evil Mode), Kurojo knows Aura and follows the path of the Sun, if Kurojo stole the egg, we’d have an option to trick him into giving us Danny for new Rocket implants, we’re well on the way to supplanting the hearts of the entire bird tribe with our fighting prowess and charisma... shall I make it more obvious?WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYOUR FIRST KISS WAS NOT WITH KITTY. IT WAS I, CERU!SONO CHI NO SADAME, JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOJO
Can someone please explain the above 20 stats to me? Prof's explanations make no sense and as far as I can tell, it's worse than sub20 skills. It doesn't even give a bonus to rolls!
>>31395333Basically:>We auto succeed at any charm rolls that previously we would've had to roll for>We can also now roll for more difficult charm things we normally would auto fail>Also, we get a little hotter/cuter
>>31395333if foes have tenacity or charm of 10 or below, we auto-succeed on charm checks, no need to roll, 0% chance of failure.
>>31394553So Prof, does that mean all the times we rolled in the past, the people or creatures we interacted with had Charm less than 10?
>>31395333it means our fat gets distributed to our hips instead of our gut
>>31395333>Sentients with either Tenacity or Charm lower than 10 can be automatically succeeded against so long as they are non-hostile.Basically, we can tell Goldie to do anything and he'll do it.
>>31395153>Pineco player takes great pride in the fact explosion is on his list.He wants to suicide?
>>31395435That seems really awful, though. We haven't run into anything with Ten or Cha that low, and +0 is SHIT.
>>31395331so, you've been thinking of jojo a lot too, eh?
>>31395393Not any charm roll we would have rolled for, but some of them.>>31395435No necessarily, since 11-20 doesn't auto-win against 0-10.So they could've been anywhere between 0-20 (we would have automatically lost if they hade 21+)
>>31395468Prof, before we spend any exp, how about we see what birdman skills are available for us to learn?
You were sick for what seemed like forever. The night that you killed the Nar-Kage the fluttering in your chest and the coughing got worse. You went to bed in Kurojo's house and woke up coughing blood and barely able to get out of bed.Your lungs ached, and burned like they were on fire.Every now and then you'd wake up in the medicine hut, hot and cold sweat streaming from your brow as an old bird took care of you. Her touches emitted a strange power that made you feel better, though she kept giving you a drink that made you really sleepy. Now and then you'd awake, coughing, more blood and spattering of red and phlegm coming up as your lungs attempted to empty themselves.Even your gills bled. There was one time waking up where you saw Kurojo visiting you. He held your hand and said something but you can't quite remember it. You went back to sleep, darkness stirring in your vision. You had a dream in all that time that the Nar-Kage was back, creeping up to you from the shadows with its dreadful beak breaking apart into two parts of an obsidian maw. Silent as death, its blades shimmered and sliced clean through you.At times you thrashed from dreams like this, even though you knew the thing was dead. It would still come after you in some dark corner of your mind. You're given something to drink. Cool and soothing before being forced to inhale something else, causing you to cough out more. But you start to feel better. Your lungs get to feeling cold again, the soreness and the pain begins to cease, the heat and strange cold recede as well.Eventually, you open your eyes and you're very thirsty.

You're within a strange room atop a bed of leaves and other foliage pulled into the form of a bed. Colorful beads paint the light flowing in from windows as well as the doors, sending cascades of many different sparkling colors giving this room of wood and leaf an almost mystical atmosphere. To your side you can hear Marine sleeping, and you wonder why she'd be hear until you figure that she must've caught what you caught too.“Sorry.” You admit aloud with a sigh, moving to sit up and nearly flopping out of the bed as you try to push yourself up, catching yourself off balance. You look to the cause of error and see that your left arm's been bandaged up and is quite a bit shorter than it should be.Your pace of breath quickens as you stare at the lost limb. How many days? How long has it been like this? Where's my arm?No. No. No. No. Where is it?Your eyes dart around the room seeking an answer as the old bird comes in through the curtains. Her eyes set back and feathers bearing something of a gray. And yet, she doesn't look as old as the other ones that carry themselves like she does. There's a certain amount of spring to her step, and a fervent awareness.“Sherulean.” You're surprised that she's capable of pronouncing the l as she bows her head slightly, taking a seat beside you.“Kajani. I help you. Kurojo teach words. How do you feel?” She asks with a gentle, almost soothing voice as she places her old hands over your forehead, minding the horn as you stare back at her.“M-my arm.” You grip the missing appendage,” Where is my arm? I need it.”She hushes you,”I have it Sherulean. It is fine.” She assures you and guides you back to lying down.“I find Kurojo. We help.” She brushes your messy red hair back, and you close your eyes, whimpering a little.“Is Marine okay?”“Marine is fine. Kurojo help you and Marine.”You let out a deep breath of relief,”Good.”
>>31395468Yup, he seems quite enamored with the concept of dying for the glory and protection of the dome.I took time to remind him that his body is now valuable Devon Corp. property, and that he should exercise good judgement in the use of his final option.
>>31395545I guess we're in a very disarming situation.
>>31395609Would "Disarming Voice" attack be super effective against us?
>>31395658So far only one ranger knows that move. Devon.
>>31395683Heh. It's the other way around, isn't it, though?
>>31395545It takes some time to properly get across some things with Kurojo as you have to fill in the missing words. You keep your eyes on him the entire time, and he fiddles with his fingers as he speaks. He tells you about the Nar-Kage, that you're considered a Ranger of the Kahkori now and that they would make you a weapon or armor from the remains befitting your request.Kajani comes in with your arm, still partially frozen and sits by you. She produces a needle and thread, showing them to you and you understand her intention, showing her your bandaged arm that's partially healed over. She grimaces and taps it with a claw.“Need to...” > (Guess word here.)
>>31395722> (Guess word here.)Suture?
>>31395722Attach? Sew?Do we even need the needle and thread? Well, it wouldn't hurt.
>>31395722Kiss the pain away.
>>31395722I'm guessing she means that she needs to reopen the wound in order to reattach the arm properly. It won't take if it is already scarred over.

Oh, if you guys missed it, I have another quest on my pallet that'll be running in my after work hours because sleep is for the weak.Loser Ninja Quest, soon to be renamed Dead Last Ninja Quest. It features Naruto with everything special stripped from him. /tg/ gets to guide him on a new route through childhood with nothing but hard work and dedication backing up anything he's got.Power Levels are unchanged.tl;dr, It's Hard-Mode Naruto.
>>31395788>>31395783Bingo, this is gonna hurt.
>>31395722>[x] sewProf, how long does the genetic sample stay fresh enough to extract for purposes of grafting? If we can snag Nar-Kage samples the Boss will give us a freakin medal. Also I want an arm blade sword, even if we never use it. Would make a good mantlepiece, or gift to the Boss.
>>31395814But, wait, they've been frozen over, haven't they? So the wounds wouldn't have been able to close.
>>31395814turn on the macho brace while she does it!
>>31395845I'd guess the ice on our arm was cleared away. or something.
>>31395845The Red Tide set your body's chemistry on the fritz.
>>31395814Oh boy. This is gonna turn into "Roll to not freeze Khakori healer to death" ain't it...
>>31395814But wait, the ice was still covering it 2 days after we had frozen them over (and I guess it lasted that long because of our body's circulatory system. The arm that was sliced off could have all its ice melted off, but not our own.>>31395864It was decided that we left it at the Dome since Prof stated that he had something he wanted to do with it.
>>31395864>Those legsUgh, do some squats man. Work that lower body.
>>31395832If Nar-Kage is a second or third rank evolution it can't be grafted at all.we'd need to raid a nest for kittens, and we're lacking in friendly grass types to keep them incapacitated.
>>31395722>you're considered a Ranger of the Kahkori nowI think it's neat that they also use the word "ranger".Assuming they didn't just port this word over from Ceru as the closest translation, this has some >implications

>>31395941I was under the impression Nar-Kage was a juvenile, though it would make sense if it were the second of a three stage line.
>>31395789Will check it out Believe it
>>31395953>Ice Body. Pokescience.Yeah, I get that. How long has it been since Kurojo brought back the cure? By the time he returned, it should have been our second day after the Nar-kage killing.
>>31395979It's the middle stage, the jungle version of Bliger.
>>31395994Was a couple days after the Nar-Kage's slaying that he set out. This is the third day.
>>31395979Wasn't a juvenile; it's the equivalent of the Bliger. This was pretty clear from the tidbits about it that Prof shared with us.
>>31395979Being the second of a three stage line means that it already evolved once and is thus unable to be grafted.
>>31396013Ah, so the cure worked on us rather quickly?Which makes less sense that the ice would have thawed over at that time, then?
>>31396034Its already been stated we were feverish when we were sick, and overheated.Just stop.
>>31396098>Marine will wake up and see unknown bird people cutting her friend Ceru and notice her missing arm>freaks out and attacks thempost yfw
>>31396098Uh, anon, you should really learn to relax. You've already got such a big stick lodged up your butt. And no, I got that, but our arm was still covered in ice and this is just the day after Kurojo left apparently.
>>31396145We got Charm, we'll convince her if she gets feisty. Also, she's had coughing fits before, and the healer bird was helping to soothe her. So she HAS to know that they're friendly. She had to deal with the sickness for several days, after all.
>>31396013>Requires skill points - to rank to upgrade and 1 skill point to unlock from 0.Prof, did you notice this?
>>31396230I fixed it already.
>>31396168Was it covered in ice as in completely encased, or covered in the sense that there's ice on a detached limb in sitting in the tropics and that's pretty bizarre?
>>31396251Just the stump, I think, not entirely.
So if this Red Tide disease has gone through the Kahkori village before, does that mean that Cerulean and Marine just caught bird flu?>>31396251I'm guessing it cooled itself down through the implants/poke-genes in order to decay slower.Sort of like how your blood vessels will contract if your arm is torn off to prevent excessive blood loss. (At least in the short term, long term you're still fucked.)Either way, why are we even arguing abou-oh, wait, /tg/, never mind.
>>31396242>Requires skill points - 1 point to acquire first rank. To upgrade it requires rank +1. Skill points are acquired through training and some skills may be unlocked via story progression.Huh? This isn't right. To upgrade it just costs the rank itself.
>>31396387>implying owls are birds
“You need to cut it open?” You tremble a bit and the crone nods, closing her eyes for a moment as she lets it sink in.Swallowing hard,”Do you have anything that I can bite into? A stick or something?”Kajani seems surprised by the request, though she barely skips a beat as she calls out of the room. You hear movement from beyond as beads swish. Kajani chatters something to Kurojo and he holds your other hand. You grip it hard as you know what's about to happen.Another bird comes in, trading off a gnarled root of some kind to the crone before it's offered to you.The young dusky-blue bird looks to you, offering a little nod and a light chitter before setting down beside Kajani, washing the thread and needle as Kajani prepares a small blade, rinsing it off in a strong smelling substance.“I will help now,”She warns as she cuts open the bandage, smearing a substance that seems to numb the wounded area a bit.“Sheru will be okay with Kajani help. I say right?” You nod to humor the crone.“Hana herp too.”You barely feel the first cuts to reopen flesh as the surgeon does her work. You struggle to stay still as the uncomfortable pressures of the numbness betray the gruesome work that she does. You squeeze Kurojo's hand as he offers you the support, your claws retract once she's cut past the numbness and you feel him start to tremble from your freezing lacerations. It ends soon and you bear relief as the dull stinging continues. You've embedded your teeth into the root, finding it a pretty bitter thing now to bite into. She attaches the cold arm after scratching away a bit at it with her black knife and then places it back on, sending her needle and thread in deep as it's fed from the nurse. The Crone doesn't even seem to mind the chill of your blood as she carries on through what must be frigid work.

I've learned how to punch things with my soul. So what have you been up to?"
You grimace at the damage you've done to Kurojo's hand and slowly remove your grip with an apologetic look,”Sorry...”He doesn't say anything as he sets his hand down at his side, hiding away the pain,”It is fine Sheru.”“Kuro.” You hear from the side and Hana's touching his shoulder, asking for his hand as she wraps it with a poultice, seeming very satisfied by the healing that's been done here.“Um, I wanted to ask... How do I get home? Do you know where the mainland is from here?”Kurojo immediately seems at a loss as he asks the other two birds, with preference to Kajani whom seems to be thinking about your question.“Main-land? Not...”“Far?”“Yes. Not Far. Ranger go there. Do...”“Work?” You ask with increasing bewilderment.“Yes.”“Do you know about the dome?”“Dome?” It's her turn to look confused.“What dome Sherurean?”They don't know about it... >>31397195Well, if the Kahkori have traveled to the mainland before, then our greatest challenge will be in surviving the trip, surviving the mainland, and in actually finding the Dome or, at least, any sort of contact with Rangers. I can sense the need for a lot of preparation here (especially for the journey, if the Kahkori need to make special arrangements). Our Index has a compass function, but does it have any other navigation abilities? We should ask them about where their Rangers (Hunters) go.
Did Ceru ever learn to navigate by stars/constellations?I know this was asked before but I don't recall an answer
“The dome is my home,” You admit, breaking the confidentiality. “It's the city that I said that I was from. It's on the mainland and I need to get back home.”Kurojo and Kajani exchange words in their tongue with Kajani leading the conversation. After a bit she directs words to you again in your own tongue.“Sherulean, there is no dome on mainland. Kahkori rangers go there to work. To work monsters. Other people. We do not know of dome.”“What do you mean? It's just on the mainland. It should be across the sea somewhere. It's big and made of glass... You know where Kanto is right? Oh wait.” You squint your eyes closed,”Right... Right you don't.”“Sherulean. Kurojo can take you when you get better. Would Sherulean like that?” Kanaji nods to the red bod and her nods back.“I am Ranger now. I can work for virrage, show you mainrand.” He seems pretty excited about it, though you feel as though there's been something lost in translation. These guys weren't in the Indigo reports...“Oh, and what did you want from Nar-Kage?”You look down to look at your tattered swimsuit, however you realize only now that it's gone... You've been sitting here without even your CGS on, gone from your person.“Ah. Um... Clothes.” You whisper out meekly,”I need clothes. And where's my CGS, my index?”“Shee-Gee-Ess is safe. We give back.” Kanaji slowly gets up, fluffing up her feathers as she stretches her old body out. “I get.” She makes way out of the roomm, with Hana nearly stopping her, likely to offer retrieval, yet the crone makes her shove off and follow after, leaving just you and Kurojo.> (Other)
>>31397848> ey bb u wan sum fuk?> Ask about Marine.

Oh wait.” You squint your eyes closed,”Right... Right you don't.”Did Cerulean just remember that the Dome is invisible to monsters?Anyway, ask him what the village's Rangers do on the mainland. Also, ask him about what other people they work with.See if they only interact with other Kahkori or if these tribes actually interact with one another.
>>31397848>> (Other)How's marine doing? Can I, uh, get a bed by the window or something?I've never had a hospital bed with a good view.

>>31397848Thank em for helping with Marine and with the flower thing (if we can remember..)Hugs?
>>31397848I don't think it's been mentioned that Kurojo found the cure for us? Was it implied? Well, if Ceru knows about it, let's start with thanking him for his help; in finding Marine and in curing us.Then ask about what the Kahkori's Rangers do on the "mainland", aside from monster hunting and interacting with other people.
>>31397848>[X] Hugs for the hug loli.>[X] Ask more about the mainland, and what their rangers do there.Do they hunt, gather, trade?>>31397970He did say that he was going to get it, but Ceru was too out of it to remember clearly.
>>31398013Oh yeah, and we should also thank him "for everything".Ceru might not remember too clearly what was going on, but she did remember that Kurojo was there. After that, let's check on Marine.
>>31397848Check on Marine until she wakes up.
“Umm Kurojo.” You grip the leaves with the claws of your right hand, pushing yourself up while taking good care to nurse your recently attached arm. You look the Kahkori in the eye for a moment before smiling a little,”Thank you. You've done a lot for me.”“Yes,” He nods, staring at you expectantly for a moment.“You're welcome. That's what you say when someone says thank you. It also goes together with Please. For Please, Thank you, and you're welcome.” You explain, and he nods again, adjusting his position a bit, his crest rising up with a bit of happiness.“You're wercome Sherurean.” He scratches at one of his tusks a bit, his eyes looking away with a little embarrassment. “And thank you too.”“For what?” You don't quite recall anything worth being thanked for...“For dead Nar-Kage. I am ranger now. I go hunt with other rangers. Make Kakariko better. Herp peopre too.” He seems rather proud of that,”Sherurean is ranger. Does Sherurean herp peopre?”You're about to answer when you think back to the missions leading up to when got swept away... Did you... ever really help anyone?“Sherurean?” Kurojo seems to sense your hesitation and you force out a smile.“I... don't really know. I try.”Kurojo chuckles, thawing your mood a bit,”Werr. Sherurean herp me. So I thank Sherurean. So Sherurean herp peopre.”“But.. that doesn't count. You were helping me.”“Herp each other.” He chuckles again. You sigh and open up your arms, or at least one with the other still too freshly attached. “Come here.”“What?”“Come here so I can hug you, I don't want to get up, but I'm not letting you out of here without a hug.”Kurojo blinks at you, then looks to the beads,”How Sheru shtop-”
You lean forward, feeling your stitches only strain slightly as you wrap your arms around Kurojo's neck, your head over his shoulder.“I never thought I'd be hugging a monster...” You ponder aloud. Then again, if you were to count Bruise, you've kissed one... But that doesn't count. That was foul play.Relaxing for a moment, you feel Kurojo's smooth feather mingle with your fur. He seems to hold his breath at first, yet then returns the gesture.“Sherurean?”Your eyes twitch to the sound of the beads parting. The blue bird, Hana's returned, walking past the two of you uttering gentle noises that are returned by Kurojo. She sets down your CGS in a little roughly handled bundle before turning around and tending to Marine.“Hana herp too. Thank Hana too.” Kurojo points at the blue-bird.You look to her, almost purring,”Thank you Hana. You guys are great.”Kurojo tells her what to say in response and the three of you spend some time working on the intricacies of language while you get geared up and wait for Marine to awaken. You do a lot of explaining when she does...
>>31398472>You're about to answer when you think back to the missions leading up to when got swept away... Did you... ever really help anyone? We were -about to-.
>>31398490okay so marine we got our asses saved by these birds. How do we want to play this?
Marine's flabbergasted by the end of it, but you think the Kahkori have at least enjoyed all the words at length.“So let me get this all straight. We're on an island. We're being taken care of by good- not bad but- good monsters. They saved me, and then they saved us. That's the gist right?”“Uh huh.”“Cerulean, this is crazy. What if they want to eat us? I bet they think we look delicious! What if they were just waiting for us not to be sick and now- now- Oh Arceus, we're not in the dome. Ceru, how are we getting back home?!” Marine starts to panic, staring at Hana and Kurojo who've backed away to respect her space.“I already told you, Kurojo said he'd help us get to the mainland where their rangers do work.” You're maybe a little too calm in the face of this, then again you've had more time to let it sink in. And Kurojo for better or worse is actually pretty reliable. He looks at you a lot too, even though that's a little embarassing.“But... but... Couldn't we just, you know- swim?” she makes little motions with her hands as though she were doing a breaststroke.“You want to run into those fish monsters again? Or worse?”“I don't know- You've already told me that you killed a thing with freaking blade arms!”“The Nar-Kage, I told you it's the Nar-Kage!”Marine folds her hands over her head and rocks back and forth a little. “I don't know, I just don't know what we should do about this. But... You're the rocket right? Like two years? Whatever I'll do what you say Ceru. But seriously. Bird people? How the heck did you talk them into helping?""Uhhh..." You recall your first meeting and wonder how you should word that."We bonded over martial arts."Marine's jaw just about hits the floor,"What?""Really, they like it. The corrected some flaws in my punch.""Sherurean good rearner. Mukon happy.""Yeah, yeah, alright Mukon..." She waves off Kurojo before looking at you again,"Cerulean, REALLY?"
>>31397848>These guys weren't in the Indigo reports...So what were in the Indigo reports, species-wise? I assume the Mach(op/oke/amp)s were, but what else?
>>31398725Well, it's nice that you took note of the common suggestion of just telling Marine they're monsters instead of wasting our time with a choice on what to tell Marine they are.
>>31398725Think of it this way, marine. This is the ONLY help we're going to get until we get back home. Also, we don't know where home is right now.
The two of you rest up for a few days while your arm finishes healing and the two of you shed the last damages of that awful sick that ravaged you.Kurojo says that it'll be a few more days until the clothes from the Nar-Kage are finished, and he offers to show you around the village.Marine even comes along as she's finally accepted her fate.“This is it. This is where they eat us...” She mumbles.Kurojo just chuckles.> Check out the training grounds.> Investigate where some of the better smells in the village come from.> Ask about the tree monsters that hang around here.> So how are we leaving anyway?> (Other)
>>31398807Kadabra and Machop were the only tribes the dome has had contact with in the past, and the Hypno is the most recent.Cerulean should already know that the Kahkori wouldn't be in them. Or a least, if Leader Giovanni saw fit to hide under species of human monsters from her, she should only think that those three races I mentioned were the only human tribes the Dome has made contact with.>>31398725Come to think of it, Prof, why did Ceru feel surprised that the Kahkori weren't already known? Of what she knows about the reports, anyway. At this point, Ceru only knows that the Dome has made contact with 3 human monsters.I think the Indigo Reports are also related to the movements of Legendary monsters.

>>31398915No, we've had contact with them. I'll go ahead and quote it.>Giovanni closes his eyes,”More than one group. We've received mixed results. Some have also been soured by those that have not differentiated them from common monsters. They often label us as monsters based on the forms we must take to venture out so far... And we, them as we had no way of telling that they were different from the usual rabble. The contact 2 years ago involved the capture of a child. It was requested by...”>“Me.” Sabrina finally speaks up. “It was a creature of burgeoning telepathic potential. That which my child had been severely lacking. We've been unable to locate it's true origin. There was however,,, Other contact prior.” Sabrina grits her teeth in frustration all of a sudden.>Boss picks up now,”Leader Bruno had made contact with another group of intelligent monsters. His reports told that while they were wary and hostile at first, his feats of strength won their respect. They are however extremely wary of other Rangers and like to kill them if rubbed the wrong way.
>>31398854> Ask about the tree monsters that hang around here.> Check out the training grounds.Yeah, Marine needs a dose of punchbonding.

>>31399076It says in his quotation that they met "more than one group". So, presumably, the Rangers met the Kadabras while they were traveling and captured one of their kids.
>>31399136We already know how the Abra was captured. An Esper chased it, matching it teleport for teleport, until the Abra was out of power.
We should ask about the other people the Kahkori encountered, like if they have prior experience with the Dagooons, Abra, Machop, or Hypno.

>>31399763Presumably because at least some people here want a romance option, which is also totally normal for a 12 year old girl to start having strange feelings about boys and such.Personally I feel like whatever makes sense at the time. Some of us are trying to do it 'IC', though we don't really know what the mind of a teenage girl would want, and others just have preferred pairings they want to see.But hey, if you do indeed play Ceru like I believe you do, that is with a personality for her in mind, then it'd make sense to give her small preferences in mind too when it comes to a bunch of stuff.I am enjoying learning more about Ceru, on top of trying to learn to play her too.All that on top of avoiding all the stupid husbando wars and such too. Kurojo takes you around the village, showing it off. You pass through gardens and some farms that grow, hanging from the trees as light cascades through the canopy down into the understory. The Rope Bridges sway, yet only ever so slightly and they are all very well maintained, even bearing an almost shiny finish to show off the craftsmanship of the Kahkori. Some children play, jumping through the trees and at parts of the village below, playing what looks to be tag. They zip on by with grace all too similar to Kurojo's great leaps, though with much less raw power.Marine watches them with some amazement, her fear having slipped away with how alien and almost magical this place is.“It's way different from the dome...” She says, as she looks down with the actual ground of the village so far away. The river runs on down there with goldeen jumping through the more rapid portions of the waters.“Yeah... I never would've thought that a place like this could exist...” Then you remember the village near the dome... But that one had repel-tech.. how...“How do you keep monsters out?”Kurojo clucks his tongue, his speech having improved in the past couple days,“Sometimes bigger monsters. Other times we trick them. Bad ones fear this place. Brave ones might get crose.” He looks back to you, his eyes meeting yours,”Anything you wanted to see?”You look from Kurojo to Marine,”How about a training ground where we can spar? I need to make sure my arm's working right.” You flex your fingers, a bit of stiffness still pervading. You were separated for a bit too long.“We have ground for that.” Kurojo motions toward the end of the bridge, hopping on down with the two of you in tow.Marine just about barfs up her breakfast at the sudden shocks, though you feel quite a bit more used to it.It's probably a good thing that she was asleep for when she was carried here.
The three of you head for the “sparring ground. There are several circles embedded into the ground with the grain of wood and polished over. Some older Kahkori supervise younger ones sparring. You notice that the circles have paint upon them almost like the fields that you used to spar in.A circle in the center to meet, and then an outer border to determine the edge of the “field.” The training grounds are covered by a fabricated canopy to offer some smattering of protection from the elements.Kurojo is acknowledged by a few of the older Kahkori, and it looks like at the pairs fighting are a male and female, two males, and another pair of males. As they strike, parry, and block, you notice that the air is distorted by their fists and there lies the tinge of a mystical blue energy that seems to burn in the atmosphere without heat. You point to that,”What's that... energy?”Marine stares on,”It's almost like an aura or something...”Kurojo seems to think for a moment, perturbed as you've seen before for a lack of the right word. “It is Aura then. We use it to fight.”“Is that what you used against the Nar-Kage?” You ask.He nods,”Yes, many Kahkori have it. Not all.”“Is it something that you teach?” You ask as you stare on at the displays of nearly mystical violence. You've been wondering if there was something more to the Kahkori and why Kurojo could “sense” Marine. Is this why?He pauses for a moment,”If you have it... Then yes.”*This option will affect a wildcard in the story.> “Teach me.”> “It's okay, but if Marine wants to learn.
>>31400347>[x] “Teach me.”yes please
>>31400347> “Teach me.”Huh, I wonder what this wildcard is.
>>31400347>Teach me.How is this not obvious?
>>31400347>[x] “Teach me.”>*This option will affect a wildcard in the story.?
>>31400347>[x] Teach us both.No reason for Marine to get left out. She punches.
>>31400347> “Teach me.”Let's take the lead here in this cultural exchange.
>>31400347>“Teach me.”>>31400420I think that's the implication of the second option, but I don't think it really matters in terms of whether or not Marine will learn. I think this is more about our own attitude; will we take charge and lead our fellow cadet into the unknown, or will we try to take comfort in the familiar and in the safety of groups?
>>31400347>> “Teach me.”Time to get violently culturally enriched. This is gonna piss off Sabrina or something, isn't it? And we won't have any way to lie and Evil mode and sneasel our way out of her wrath since she'll know we have wave bending.
>>31400347 >[x] Teach us both.Honestly, this seems like the best bet, and a skill learned and not used is better than a skill not learned, but needed.
>>31400466We're a Rocket. The unknown is our playground.
>>31400515She'll know we have wave bending if she reads our minds. But unless she has a reason to, she probably won't try to pry into our mind (Prof said we'll be able to resist such attempts in the future, but Sabrina seems strong enough to bust through our mental defenses at this time). And our debriefing will probably be done by Giovanni or by a Rocket Team member.>>31400530Let's blast off! To the stars! To infinity! To beyond!
gonna build a summer home in parts unknown!
I want Ceru to end up with our Ghost waifu who will never lie to us. Does that make me a bad person?
>>31400670/u/boatin', so kinda
>>31400670On the one hand, I really like Lilac. On the other hand, she's the type of character that Prof WILL use to fuck us over.
“Teach me,” you say with a simple resolution.“It will take time... It takes some children many days to learn. But you are a ranger without aura...” Kurojo seems to think on this.*Aura training will take time. You have the option to buckle down and spend the time needed in learning it or receive basic training and then be tutored as you carry on the adventure.> Skip ahead three months.> Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later.
>>31400716>On the other hand, she's the type of character that Prof WILL use to fuck us over.Based on my quest history? Can't say I won't. Won't say I will.
>>31400670It makes you a minority, but no, not necessarily a bad person. Do you murder children and sacrifice their blood to the dice gods of /tg/? No? Then you are a bad person.>>31400719> Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later.I like the journey, Prof. And I'd like to see you explain the principles behind Aura fighting as we go along. Dispense some tribal wisdom on us.
>>31400719>Three monthsDamn... I mean...damn...I dunno guys. Can we also spend that time thinking of some god damn way to get home? Because I got nothing.
>>31400719>[x] Skip ahead three months."Where's my Aura? Where's my Aura? Where's my Aura?"its a long term endeavor to get back anyway.
>punching shit>not getting MKULTRA'd by the reptillian pokelluminati>not being a slave to the government man that charges your voltorbYES
>>31400719> Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later. If nothing else, we'll likely sent as ambassadors or such in the future after we make it back to Boss, and have time to work on it then.
>>31400719> Skip ahead three months.
>>31400719>> Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later.
>>31400719>[x] Skip ahead three months.no more hypno village/ dagoon conversations ever again.
>>31400719> Skip ahead three months. But let's make some progress on getting home.
>>31400719>[x] Skip ahead three months.
>>31400719>> Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later.we have to spend lots of time trying to escape
>>31400719> Skip ahead three months.Definitely think we should take this opportunity while we have it.
>>31400719> Skip ahead three months. There's no real benefit in rushing back home
>>31400719>Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later.
>>31400770I don't want to be gone a whole three months.our folks think we're dead!
>>31400719 >[x] Skip ahead three months.
>>31400823I don't understand.>>31400826The three month skip is pure living and training in the village. No progress made towards getting home and it'll still take longer than that.As a spoiler...[Receiving basics will allow you to refine aura abilities as Kurojo will be joining you on your way home.
>>31400719>Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later. Our friends and our mom think we're dead. That's not okay.>>31400849Maybe if you're a sociopath.
>>31400719> Skip ahead three months.I'm all for skipping. Not to mention the bitching in 4-5 threads if it would prove useful and we haven't taken it.
>>31400719> Skip ahead three months.
>>31400861they already think Ceru and Marine are dead>>31400719>[x] Skip ahead three months. We're not getting a second chance for this
>>31400877Wait.Is receiving basics gonna take three months?Or is it three months to get past basics?
>>31400719>>31400877Wait, Prof, can you clarify something; is the difference between these two options more than us just adventuring in Kahkori land as we train?Since some people are confused here. Can you clarify what each option does and give a revote?
>>31400719>[X] Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later.Did you guys forget that we technically still have a job?
>>31400896I don't want them to think we're dead for LONGER!
>>31400719>[x] Skip ahead three months.I really hope prof don't make us roll for this.
>>31400877Welp, changing my vote to basics.
>>31400719>Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later.Guys.Guys.GUYS.Lilac.
>>31400877Are you saying the second option is actually better for us in terms of learning Aura? You might want to do a revote, Prof. Lots of people seemed to have misunderstood the options.
>>31400877Hey professor, while we are doing this training, during our down time, is it possible that we could occasionally go out into the forest during the day and using our index to catalog all the pokemon we see?
>>31400719>Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later. What the fuck is wrong with you people.Don't you remember we have responsibilities and friends? We already pretty much ditched Lilac, and that's not cool.
>>31400877I assume Aura will help us read a being's intent, no more sticking Ceru's neck out on the off chance talking might do something.>>31400719>[x] Skip ahead three months.
>>31400940Man has a point. We have to save Bruise from Lilac
>>31400951yeah, that's why I voted basics.but I only get one vote
>>31400719>Receive basics until clothing is done and worry about refinement later.I know how you guys get about new shiny thing, but this is seriously disgusting.
>Basics and leaveI don't want to neglect Lilac. She needs us and I'm afraid she'll eat Bruise.
>>31400719>> Skip ahead three months. If we're gonna be gone for a while, we might as well be gone for a good while so we can bring something back. Bruise would probably be a Machoke in a week with the Macho Brace; then he should be a Machamp in three months.
>>31400951>>31400940if we were dead, she could see our spirit. we;re not dead, she can't see our spirit, so I doubt she thinks we're dead.>>31400719>[x] Skip ahead three months.
>>31400719>> Skip ahead three months.
>>31400993No, in my case, I'm concerned for Bruise, because I don't know how well he is controlling Lilac
>>31400986Have you not read what Prof said? The second option is much better for us, in terms of learning Aura.>>31400993No. I don't even ship Lilac, but I agree with them on getting back to our friend as soon as possible.
>>31401023Sanna's the one in charge of her. She took over after she got back from the mission.
>>31400719> Receive basics Gotta get that bird dick.
Glad i made it in time for THE Vote.Time for a numbered Vote.
>>31400914Yeah. Lemme do that. The three month skip is to gain proficiency and some auto-ranks to aura-based skills.Receiving the fundamentals will allow you all to continue on, learning Aura on the way. Kurojo will be traveling with you for a bit and once you've got the the fundamentals down then you'll be able to train as is.It's not a vote as to whether or not you learn aura. You already voted for that. This is a vote for the time you take in returning which could end up as a big deal.>Stay in Kakarkiko village for three months and train.>Receive basics and train as you make your way back.
>>31401039Oh. well then I'm not as worried. Still worried though
>>31401051we obviously want adventures WHILE training.though, don't be afraid to confine us to the island for a month or so anyway for medical and/or hunting reasons
>>31401051Vote end. Counting.
>>31401164Hey Prof. What's the possibility of us being able to teach other people Aura? What's the possibility of Boss learning it from us? Someone write a fic about that.I'm looking at you, Gypsy!
>>314011642's win. Writing.
>>314011642 wonI am sad ( ;_;)
the people have spoken!Mediocrity is the way!why be elite when you can be okay-ish?
Experience points are hard to come by, but I guess we're going back early for our friends (who already think we're dead and are already looting our stuff).Either way, we get aura, I suppose.>>31401164Ygg, do we get to sense intentions from these basics?
>>31401187We gotta teach Bruise this Aura shit.
>>31401202Anon. Do you actually understand what the vote is? Prof actually even clarified it.
>>31401190>>31401202Because we left a lot of unfinished shit back home? We have a duty to the team.
>>31401219Different anon, but >some auto-ranks to aura-based skillsaka free skill points.
>>31401190It'll be okay anon. I promise.>>31401207>Ygg, do we get to sense intentions from these basics?Reminds me. I'll implement things like that as part of Detect as a "base" skill. while the use of detect to evade supernaturally is what costs metric tons of stamina.
>>31401246at the cost of months of time. Not free at all.
>>31401246To which we must ask, what is more important? To roleplay our part or to power game? And tell people that power gaming is totally roleplay?
>>31401187How would that play out? Like a child trying to teach their parent something new they learned from school? We've already got bellyrubs eventually, anyways.
>>31401259can I get a little more indepth description of what would Ceru had gotten from the 3 months? and compared to the basics?
>>31401259Oh, that sounds nice. Which reminds me, Prof, have you decided on what you're gonna do with Snarl?>>31401284Yes! I need that!
>>31401259Are we going to have a Wav stat like Jojo did?
>>31401299No, because I'm not bringing gasoline.>>31401313>you're gonna do with Snarl?Snarl can stay right where it is. Unless you want it changed to scary face to get mean look.
>>31401282In this world powergaming is almost equivalent to Roleplaying. If only we had chosen a character who only cared for their own survival.
>>31401339You play Overhuman?
>>31401339>If only we had chosen a character who only cared for their own survival.Tried to do that in Overlimit. Oddly enough, it hasn't really worked out. We're dependent on our allies being big tanky meatshields for us, so we spend half the time trying to placate them. Or at least manipulate them into meatshielding better.
>>31401202>wants to neglect responsibilities, drink pina coladas out of a coconut and skip all the intense training through the magic of montage>eliteWe will EARN those skill points one at a time risking our hide for the safety of the dome.
>>31401375what's more elite:spending an additional 3 months learning aura before heading homeor heading home and learning aura on the way accomplishing two objectives at once?
>>31401375That's what I like to see.
>>31401353No, because shit fanbase.I stopped reading the archives when they choose to join the enemy after you had just described the MCs blistering rage towards them.I'm a Roleplay kinda person
>>31401335>>31401325Yeah, is there a stat for that like Charm or Ingenuity?>>31401339Not at all, actually. There are different styles to it, from what we can tell about the Gym Leaders. Koga, for example, is very dedicated to his job and has probably taken the most implants out of all the Gym Leaders. Compared to someone like Misty who takes only what she needs. Then Giovanni, who represents the other side of the extreme opposite of Koga; the Gym Leaders who don't have very visible grafts at all. Those kinds of Rangers have a personal sense of style and class that they maintain.>>31401353>>31401372Have you guys taken any inspiration from The Superior Foes of Spider-Man? Because from the descriptions I've seen of Asher, the character reminds me a bit of Boomerang.
>>31401335>No, because I'm not bringing gasoline.god dammit.I hate anon even more at the moment right now.>>31401407learning the damn technique in and out so we could teach it instead of half assing the basics on the way home and probably limit its use without even more training.>>31401446>Superior Foes best marvel book going today
>>31401446Still makes no sense in a deathworld setting for there to be so few powergamers.
>>31401486Well we're bringing Kurojo so he can teach us more once we return home.He can reopen the Fighting Gym!!!
>>31401489They're convinced that this isn't a deathworld and that hugging everything hard enough will make it work.
>>31401489Operations are dangerous and, as there's no immediate threat to the livelihood of the Dome people, Rangers can become sentimental about their own implants. The only gym that we know of that has adopted the policy of being robotic and emotionless is the Saffron Gym, and they look down on implants even though their own abilities would be bolstered even further by a few grafts here and there.Despite living in a death world, our society has not adopted the policy of fascism because we are able to thrive even holding on to our "humanity".
>>31401558taking the best possible combination of grafts possible is nowhere close to fascism
>>31401511Like hell he will, what with racist Sabrina directly next door, in complete control of her minions who she can easily brainwash with her overwhelming power and everyone's super effective against him.
>>31401603Then we don't let them be near eachother.Or we open a dual Dark/Fighting Gym.
>>31401624>Dark/fighting gym>Run by subhuman scum.>Sabrina brainwashes fighters to kill evil types.>Fighting types commit seppuku.>"I don't even know what happened, the monsters all just went crazy!
>>31401511>>31401603>implying they won't kill and dissect Kurojo
>>31401681Obviously the majority of Ranger must have BOTH Fighting and Dark.
>>31401486Wrong. Best Marvel Book going today is the new Thunderbolts run.
>>31401700it was garbo until Soule took it
>>31401681Sabrina why are you such a bitch...
>>31401696You'd either have to implant them all with two grafts, all pure Dark and Fighting monsters, or use the only Dark/Fighting monster in the game.
>>31401739You'll find out one day.
We're going to find out the mainland is an entirely different mainland.we're at poke-australia now.
>>31401486Dude. Friends. Boss.
>>31401749and we'll only be okay-ish at best with Aura!
>>31401700>>31401717>>31401486Deadpool = best book going.Anything Spiderman after that abortion of issue 700 is shit.
>>31401740As of XY there are two fully evolved Dark/Fighting, though Pangoro is kinda blah.
>>31401749>>31401762>PokeAustralia>okayishDude that place is either a wasteland or it's one of those WARNING: DO NOT ENTER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE areas.
>>31401749We're in an archipelago. Lots of islands, but there's a big one in the center of them. That's their version of mainland.Kanto is already Poke-Australia. Don't you know how many fucking Poison types are here? There's only ONE pure Grass type, and that's Tangela. Almost everything else is Poison.
So hey. Is anyone who knows how to use Aura called an Aura Guardian? Just curious.
I want an OC Ghost Eevee.
>>31401850Not here.Kurojo's thread specifically called Kanaji a wave-healer.
>>31401856No...you really don't.
>>31401856It's simple. Kill the Eevee.
>>31401764hate on amazing/superior all you want. but Superior is the best spidey book, if not marvel going today. Scarlet was great too.>>31401757that urge to rush home hobbled aura. now its competing with icy wind, psybeam, rest, etc for points now most likley.well, I'm aiming to stick those 7 points we have all into aura now. make up for lost potential ground. Might have even got aura sphere!and they're not going to think we're extra dead if we took our time. and its gonna be longer a lot than an afternoon drive to get back to the dome regardless of what we do.
>>31401873Then I guess we'd just be called Aura Users?
>>31401856You just gave me an Idea. We should encourage Lilac to get an Eevee Implant
>>31401901superior foes. Superior foes is the best spidey book is what I meant
>>31401919Wave Hunters.Aura Hunters.Aura Rangers.Wave Rangers.
>>31401901Don't you want to go on the expedition, Anon? Don't you want to get back to Lilac before she likely kills someone?
>>31401963half assed beginner aura amateur
“I can get by with the basics. A good foundation is fine for me to learn on my own. I'm trained for that.” You explain, and he seems to take it in stride, chuckling again.“Sheru is shtrong, I'd like to shee how strong you become. Strong hunters use aura.” He looks over to Marine, almost as though she's a second thought,”Marine can try too.” He nods, and brings the two of you over to an area closer to the water, a still pool where the river flows in, circles around, slows, and finally pours out.He closes a sluice and the flow goes still. He wades in, and the water goes up just beyond his waist. He beckons you both forward and you join him, the water coming up just above yours and Marine's navels. It's comfy though. It's good to be back in water.“Watch, and feel.” Kurojo relaxes and the still water begins to emanate from him in subtle waves, picking up in strength with the build of his energy. At its peak, he's not moving and the water's entire surface is rippling.“You see aura. You feel aura. You must feel yours. See yours.” He steps out, shaking off the water from his legs, his feathers allowing it to run off fairly easily as he closes another sluice. “Marine here, and Sheru there. Try to feel. If it is there. Water will move. Stay still. Breath.”Marine enters the other pool and the both of you try it. You meditate for some time and notice some subtle ripples, but nothing that you didn't really expect to see beyond the act of breathing. It's nothing like Kurojo's steady waves. You felt it though, the way his force, his spirit collided with yours. It was something different, as though his presence had increased.Increasing your presence? You try to focus on that, letting out steady breaths and you notice a very slight change in the way the water's been moving...
>>31401963Alright. Just asking, since this seems like an appropriate time to add another tag. Just like the time when we joined the Rockets, this seems like a major stepping stone that would warrant a new tag.
>>31401900Not what i meant.I want a Ghost EeveeA Dark EeveeA Steel EeveeA Rock/Ground EeveeA Bug/Poison EeveeA Dragon EeveeMaybe a research facility that is experimenting with the amazing reactiveness and instability of the Eevee DNA.

>>31402232well, it would have been mediocrity either way.we get this scene montage or not
>Aura(2): A limiting attribute. Aura-based skills can not exceed this attribute. Aura is increased by spending skill points based on double the current rank.>This attribute increases performance of all combat actions so long as Aura Combat is acquired and trained.
>>31402270So to increase this to 3, we need to spend 4 skill points, right?
>>31402270Oh look. It's expensive as fuck.Still happy we didn't spend the 3 months on it?
>>31402270glad I rolled that 20 then.
>>31402270>Aura Combat: Through the use of a mystical force known as aura, you have the ability to fight with a sight beyond your own and infuse spirit into your attacks at will. (+Aura rank to combat rolls) Does not get applied to flying types*

>>31402297Yes, anon. Your power gaming desires are irrelevant to what everyone else wants.
>>31402270Shiet.Do we start allocating skill points now? I kinda want to buff our Water Gun until it becomes Hydro Pump. Since Stamina affects bloody everything when we're out in the field.
>>31402270you chose basics anons, not meI'm still gonna vote to upgrade it
>>31402297yes.Because we would have gotten the same base aura stat either way.also, you are incredibly unsportsmanlike and pessimistic and are dragging down the quality of the quest.
>>31402297It would have been... the same? We'd be rolling for our Aura stat all the same. Free skill points were what we didn't get, and they'd still be limited by our Aura stat.
>>31402330Calling people out like that is begging for a shitflinging competition, you know.
>>31402270Let's level it up once. We have the points.
>>31402353Nah; that can wait for when we get back at the Dome. Let's focus on getting Aura Skills first.

You feel the waves really begin to move, radiating away from you through the pond.It takes a while to really build it up, but you eventually get the hang of it, feeling the eyes of other Kahkori on you as you practice, intrigued by your display. The stranger training in their aura, right? But this is just the beginning.Marine builds up something akin to yours, and even a bit greater after she puts more effort into it.It's strange though. By the end of it, despite the fact that you've just been standing in water and breathing, you've both worked up something of a sweat. The next day, Kurojo teaches the basic principles behind detection, the vacuum wave attack that he unleashed before, and a few other intricacies of aura combat.Whether it's you being your mother's daughter, or your prior training, you've quickly grown accustomed to a few core techniques by the end of the week.Your learning may have been a bit hindered from nursing your arm. You're eventually liberated from the shackles of nudity when a few of the Kahkori that had been working on altering the hides. They based the design off of what you'd been wearing before, giving you something like a bikini-bottom with a top joined together by an odd weave of organic metal mesh. You test it out by tring to cut at it and find that it actually very easily nullifies your own attempt. The outfit's completed with an almost full sleeve that runs over your left side, protecting the arm that had been cutWhile you hadn't intended to make a habit of it, you appreciate the thought. With the materials left they present Kurojo with a long blade that seems to have been taken and refined directly from the corpse, and Marine receives well... Some woven plainclothes to protect what dignity you guys care about.

You ask Marine about the first contact with the Kahkori and what she thinks of them.“Well... I didn't really know what to think. I mean, they're not like any monsters that we've heard about, right? And well, Kurojo's kind of mean, but he seems to really like you Ceru, so... I don't know. They're not bad.” Marine looks to you as she sits at the edge of the village's river, letting the current sweep past her feet, kicking every now and then for splashes.“I like them. I miss home, but I like them. They saved our lives and... I don't know. I feel like we owe them something.” You sigh and relax by the water's edge, slipping in for a moment to liberate yourself with the feeling of swimming under water. You surface, launching a short spray at Marine. “Bah! Ceru! Bah! Stoppit!” She says covering her face and splashing back at you.Treading water against the slow current, you look to Marine,”Hey, you wanna go home, right?”“Huh?” Marine's taken aback,” Of course I do, what about you?”You swim off. You don't want to answer that. You're not really sure of the answer yet.You pay Kanaji a visit, working out the whole thing about going to the city. She tells you that it's something of a journey, but it shouldn't take more than a week. “I'll admit that I am surprised you are still here Sherulean.” The crone speaks without eyecontact, grounding up a few herbs with mortar and pestle before handing some of it off to the assistant that glares at you. Hana's the nice one.“Why? You wanted me to leave?” You ask, innocently not understanding.“No. By all means, I enjoy the company. You seem rushed though. Kurojo could've left with you any of these days...”Your eyes go wide,”Really?” You feel a bit stupified.“Yes. Did you not ask?”“Ah... Um... >>31403695>>31403675Ceru you temptress!
>>31403695Thread archived, Prof.http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/31394287/And I just now noticed that you labeled this as thread 35. Hah!It's been a cool thread, even though we didn't get much momentum beyond the gifts and the aura learning. The pacing was pretty slow, though, because we weren't moving that much. Well, I'm sure next thread's road trip will fix that. 'Till then and thanks for running.
>>31403695So what aura moves did we end up with?
>>31403675>>31403695It's amazing that Kurojo's allowed to travel on his own (even if he's being accompanied by two rangers). I suppose the wave reading ability of the Kahkori is really useful for avoiding contact.
>>31403785Judging from the description here>>31402974>The next day, Kurojo teaches the basic principles behind detection, the vacuum wave attack that he unleashed before, and a few other intricacies of aura combat. We learned detect, vacuum wave, and aura combat.
>>31403698>wut? Kina jst wnt sum d.>>31403785Most popular was Detect and Vacuum wave, right?Looking back on the third.
>>31403695If a human trained in Aura from childhood, would they count as a fighting type?
>>31403811>Looking back on the third.I think it was Aura Combat 2
>>31403814normal with fighting type attacks.
>>31403791He's a hunter.>>31403814Not for implants unless their M-virus adjusted to it.It's a maybe.
>>31403833Humans are the ??? type by default, not Normal.
>>31403811>Looking back on the third.Aura Combat. Most people agreed on maxing out the first two, but I'm not sure which way we swung for Aura Combat; whether we'd put 1 point in it or 2, although I think the majority wanted it maxed too.>>31403814>>31403833>>31403835Fighting types are biologically predisposed towards "fighting", right?
>>31403835>He's a hunter.Yeah, but I don't think our rangers usually travel on their own.
>>31403841Actually, surprisingly, I think Fighting is as much mental as it is physical.Which is why Espers excel against them. They can read their moves and fists.
>>31403857they got their wayswe've got oursdifferent strokes
>>31403859Oh, true, true. It's instinctual for them, I think.Perhaps that's how moves are inherited from the father; they instinctively know how to copy the moves.
>>31403835>unless their M-virus adjusted to itI guess this is how humans started becoming monsters out in the wilds. Also, you totally opened up the possibility of there being a village of fae-ish people that started out as kids kidnapped by Fairy types.
>>31403865I was just noting down that the difference may be because of their ability to sense waves/auras.
>>31403859drunken master style when?
>>31403884This HAS to be an ability.Negates Esper resistance to Fighting type moves.
>>31403876Just imagine a Dragonite Island with all its "saved" people.
>>31403884That'd basically be dark type. 'turning off your brain/making it hard as shit to read'.
>>31403928It would be Fighting with pseudo Dark.Similar to our Crytten evil mode.
>>31403876OCsssssss.That or that's how Mr. Mimes are created; children, horrified by what they've seen in fairy villages, are forever unable to speak, only able to speak through MIMING.
>>31403928I thought dark types threw up mental walls of strong emotions and paranoia etc to block out espers.Like how Atton from KOTOR II resists force mind reading (or tries to anyway)
>>31403944I don't want to see forever.
>>31403957Someone explain Dark type minds to him. It's been explained so many times.I'm going to sleep.
>>31403939Yeah, basically the same. pseudo evil, but evil for the sake of typing.>>31403957It can be>Super dark, evil and twisted imagination shocks enemy esper's mind>Primal, raw, instinctual thoughts make prediction difficult, or near impossible>Stoic, precise assassin like hits. Only think of your hit the second before you do it. Hitman style.
>>31403957Full on Evil types rely on negative emotions to repulse and block out psychic interference, but pseudo Evil types instead momentarily shut off their minds to act instinctively.
>>31403957There are different kinds of evil types.Devon is the walls of HATE AND RAAAGE AND PARANOIA. Others are completely blanked out "I will rip out your spine and not even devote a single thought to the matter"
>>31403983It's not about actual Evil types vs pseudo Evil types. Pseudo Evil can still be the strong negative emotion type and full-on Evil types can still be the blanked out assassin. Which one of those it is depends on the species of pokemon.
I am thinking Professor passed out pretty quickly.
>>31404024I would be passing out quickly too if I wasn't starving
>>31404033Pfff. I am eating breakfast nigga.>4:30 am breakfast is best
>It hides any shiny object it finds in a secret location. Murkrow and Meowth loot one another's stashes.I kinda wish Lilac had gone for the Murkrow. She'd have a cute featherhat and her and Kitty would constantly be stealing eachother's stuff.
>>31404044I just have to sneak past several sleeping roommates to get to the kitchen
>>31404080Thankfully, I have no roomates. Only a dog, who insists on chewing on my toes.
>>31404052Heh. Well, Prof did hint that we'd be heading on over to Hoenn one day. Maybe Kitty will find a rival Murkrow ranger in either Team Aqua or Team Magma.
>>31404119Murkrow are from Johto. They should be relatively common in Kanto. She probably already had to deal with a Murkrow rocket recruit.
>>31404119I hope he manages to get us there without railroading a mission into failure.
so.have we added the birds to the pokedex yet?
>>31404231Might not want to without talking to Boss first.
Well, after re-reading this thread, I don't think Prof was too distracted by conversation. The pace was just slow since many of the options in the beginning were just back and forths. The pacing was really the only problem; we were never really able to get into a proper run. More like a comfortable trot.Looking forward to us traveling with Kurojo. I wonder if we'll be traveling with any supplies or if we'll be moving light and hunting for our needs. It might be a while until the next time we meet him, so hopefully we'll be properly able to develop a strong relationship with him during our journey. Maybe the next time we return to this village, he'll be one of the leaders and riding on a rathas mount. And I found it a little funny how he snubbed Marine a little. At this time now, I guess we should understand his tastes. He likes strong people. Maybe he'll hook up with another hunter, if he's not the wishy-washy type to get hung up over his meeting with the 'stranger who helped him become a man'.>>31404259Yeah. We might properly catalog them like we did for the Hypno, but who knows how Boss might react upon learning about their Aura/Wave abilities.
>>31404304I'm more interested to see what we read on Boss with our new abilities.
>>31404317The thought of showing Boss our new tricks make me giddy. Why.
>>31404338the indoctrination is setting in nicely.
>A big chunk of the population being able to sense the mood/intent/whatever else of others while also not having the nastiness of espers leads to a nice societySomething tells me the dome isn't going to like Aura...
>>31404408Well, the leaders anyway. But I'm sure Giovanni would love having such a tool under the control of the Rockets (who are, of course, the only Rangers who can be trusted to responsibly teach and control the spread of this technique within the Dome).
>>31397616Well whoever it would have to be good against Steel types...Devon is our daddy? ..Well, it does explain where we learnt Snarl.
>>31404432>Ceru takes over the fighting gym>Fighting gym run by a leader that isn't even a fighting type>That is actually -weak- to fighting types
Huh. I just realized.Ceru will be able to read Devon. I mean, there's going to be the obvious dark thoughts he has. But. She'll be able to read beyond that.
>>31404551Yep. She's not going to be dense/naive/oblivious anymore.I'm curious as to whether Lilac is /u/ or if she's just really friendly and spookyweird. I also wonder if it will even work on her at all because spooky ghost immune to fighting, but I dunno if mediums actually count as ghost for the purpose of type matchup. I mean, I think they might based on her interaction with Bruise, but I dunno.
>>31404551>meet devon after all that>insults us and calls us fatcat>ceru reads his intent>ceru blushes DEEPLY
>>31404569Ceru, even if she doesn't know what sex is, understands what being attractive and erotic is at the very least.Lilac, on the other hand, has spent her entire life in the Spire surrounded by the dead and living vicariously through the memories of their death throes.Given the strong following in the past for Devon or Goldie, and that Prof really only listed Devon, Goldie, and Bruise as possible LI, it seems like she's just going to be limited to compassionate love.Still looking forward to that one anon finishing that fic with Ceru and Lilac.
I wonder if he'll do the idea
>>31404627Too extreme, I think. He already mentioned before that he already thought he was toeing the line with the Nar-kage smut, so gore and vore are probably out of the question.
>Sanna knows Stun SporeAt least level 30. Dayum.Gets Ancientpower at 38. She needs to learn it to evolve her Tangela part.
>>31404672Well, she is our senior by a couple of years and we're approximately around 25 with Remoraid's evolution.
>>31404304>And I found it a little funny how he snubbed Marine a little. It really wasn't that surprising what with how she kept making those "Now comes the part where they kill and eat us" comments.
>>31404672I hope the Assault Vest is an itemin this quest. A.Vest Tangrowth is a fucking monster.
Anyone remember how long Lilac's probation period thing was supposed to last?
>>31404705He found it funny, but I think it was more just him looking down on her a bit because she hasn't shown her mettle yet. He's a nice enough guy, but he might be a little conceited.>>31404711I already imagine Sanna with dreads. She's gonna have a huge poofy afro when she evolves, isn't it?
>>31404720no idea. How long have we been out so far, I wonder?week or two is my estimate.
>>31404672I wonder how Ancient Power may be interpreted here. A form of geomancy, perhaps? Instead of just telekinetically lifting up chunks of ground to fling at the enemy, it would be the manipulation of the ground itself?
>>31404726Marine would be rather scary to fight, I think. She's pretty much the definition of "Bulky Water". Even without Aura, I think she'd have given Kurojo some trouble if they had to fight.>She's gonna have a huge poofy afro when she evolves, isn't it?I was thinking that it would go from shortish dreads to really fuckin' long dreads.
>>31404749Long plant-hair-dreads.Also marine is the secret champion. She can probably punch these birds in half with her might.
>>31404747Uh, much longer than that, I think. Much longer.
>>31404749>I was thinking that it would go from shortish dreads to really fuckin' long dreads.Well yeah, but that's going to be a lot of trouble to drag around. It might be more comfortable to tie it all up in a ball.I wonder if she learned Force Palm instead of Vacuum Wave? It'd fit her better.
>>31404765well, really, how long have we been out?we've been on a mission, which only took a couple days. Then we were washed away, which takes a single day. Then we had a day of adventure. Then we had a span of sickness that was measured in days, rather than weeks. We've not been gone for long at ALL.
>>31404748Well, it only has 5PP, so it's going to cost 20% Stam every time you use it. It's going to need to be really good.So Prof is probably going to make it so that the "boost every stat" thing activates every single time. That'd turn it into more of a Super Saiyan boost and less of a shitty 60BP Rock special attack. Maybe let it keep some damage by blasting away some rocks in a force wave or something. At least that's what I'd do. It's worthless as a damage move anyway.
>>31404776Uh, yeah? Approximately that time? But that's not related to Lilac's probationary period at all. You do know why she's on probation, right?
>Rockets declare Ceru and Marine KIA>Lilac tries to channel Ceru>Can't>Knows were alive
>>31404779Boost abilities when close to land, maybe? Maybe minor land reformation abilities too. Maybe.
>>31404773>Well yeah, but that's going to be a lot of trouble to drag around. It might be more comfortable to tie it all up in a ball. She already ties it back when not in use. The only difference is that now it would hang down her back and look cooler.>I wonder if she learned Force Palm instead of Vacuum Wave? It'd fit her better. She almost certainly did. I suspect she went with V.Wave and F.Palm, no Detect. Cause, y'know, Pewter Style. Stand and face the threat; no sissy dodgin shit.
>>31404782sorry, I said I had no idea as to the lilac probation length, and then went on to wonder how long we've been out ourselves.maybe I was missing a clarifying comma or something.
>>31404788Or that our soul was possibly eaten by a wandering spirit. WoOOooOoOOoooo....
>>31404826or we ARE wandering spirits now.it's entirely possible we are haunting the fuck out of that shipwreck.
>>31404788>They know we went under in an area of the sea with strong far-reaching undersea currents>They know that channelings fail if the person died very far awayThey would more likely think that we got swept out to sea by those currents Misty took time warning everyone about. And then, ya know, got mauled by Sharpedos or something.
>>31404857god, how are we ever going to get backwe are probably continents away
>>31404874We discussed this before and we concluded that we were probably in the Sevii or Orange Archipelago south of Kanto.
I just checked the pastebin. Although we do not yet have Detect or Vacuum Wave trained, we already have 1 rank in Aura Combat. Either Prof put it there as a placeholder for now, or we got 1 free rank in it. If it's the latter, we might even be able to fit in ranking up Quick Attack.
>>31404903We got the rank 1 AC when we did the splashing in the water with Kurojo. We got it at the same time as the Rank 2 Aura stat for free.
>>31404934Well, Prof will clarify it next time, I'm sure.
>>31403839You mean we can use Curse?
>>31405093Curse got it's type changed to ghost.
>>31404572Steamhugs are a go
I wonder how we're supposed to wear the nar-kage armour with our Rocket uniform. Just put the Rocket on over the stuff since it's mostly just glorified underwear anyway? Might have to remove the left arm or something..
>>31404551Huh. I just realized something else.Unless Detect can be dampened the same way esper abilities are, we're now even better equipped to interrogate Ni'Rena.>>31405349Underneath the suit, maybe. I wonder what Devon would have to say if Cerulean went around just wearing the Nar-kage armor. Or, really, any of our other friends.
>>31405367>Underneath the suit, maybe.Yeah, that'd work. Might be able to get away with just wearing the pants and a vest.
>>31405435There are no pants. The bottom and top are connected by an organic chain mesh.
>>31405440The rocket uniform, anon. I was saying to put the rocket pants on over the nar-kage armor and not bother with the long-sleeved top and just get a vest or something to wear over the vest.
>>31405452Oh, yes, that would make sense. A vest or a jacket would be good. It'd have to be something that wouldn't conflict with the Nar-kage armor's own collar.
>>31405470Well, the rocket uniforms all have a floppy clothe collar kinda like the thing on the akatsuki cloaks in naruto.
>>31405491Yeah, so it'd conflict a bit, is what I'm saying.
>>31405513The Narkage collar looks like it's a bit closer to the skin, so I think it would be fine.
>>31404627Wait, there is a place to suggest smut ideas? Where? I have a few ideas of my own.
>>31405635The gypsy posts with his email in the field. Just scroll up and click on his name.
>>31405662Oh, I had not noticed it. Thanks!
