I think about Gilgamesh's taunts, and style of combat. I can overcast, and summon them mid-flight, but.... speed is a problem. I could easily be overwhelmed. Being able to summon more would help, but the real bottleneck is how quickly they can be deployed.I start with my swords, flickering them back and forth, almost completing the spell and letting it collapse slightly, watching them waver in and out of reality. And I start to dissect the process.The first step is to set the frame for it, imagining the exact structure. Then to prepare the projection and the magic, and then forcing the spell into reality.It's a structured process..... Right?I reexamine it. I need to create a mold so I can pour magic into it, and then I need the magic in the proper shape in order to finish it. I start swinging it as a simple handle, but it's a fully formed sword by the time it reaches a point of impact.The other way, tip first, seems even better for ranged combat. Shooting swords out in the same fashion Gilgamesh did seemed possible, with some excess energy wrapping around it in the form of momentum. Like a sort of enhancement magic, only reinforcing a reaction instead of an object.I hear a small noise behind me, and I turn to see Ilya's been watching me practice. "....
