Hi /tg/,

Last weekend I posted a fighty roleplaying game I made for use with Lego minifigs (pdf related). I cleared up some unclear rules (mostly about how gray sides work), so here's a new revised copy.

>tl;dr Lego roleplaying game using minifigs and other Lego pieces set in the universe of Spaceman of Futuron

Yay! Glad to see the grey sides have been cleared up. I was a bit confused by them aswell.

This is how character generation and advancement works.

I clarified that opponents with identically-weighted weapons attack each other at the same time.

Also what are some recommended lego sets to ideally start something like this?

I'm pretty sure it's the unspoken assumption of every Lego gaming system ever that you already have big pile of Lego from your childhood.

If not, then I dunno. Just look through what's currently in-production and pick out what you think is cool?

Seriously, just go on eBay and search for "pound of legos". People literally sell them by the pound.

"But the life of a Futuron is doomed to end in only two ways, broken by the universe, or caught at last by the charge of a burner."

Yoren's story has distracted the patrons from Ionicus's visage, and drawn a crowd, including Boston Texas!

Boston has a bunch of loot stashed somewhere.
We could plunder it for our petty cash fund.

Also we should totally sneak Ionicus somewhere so that we can disguise him. Cause he just might be the most wanted man in the galaxy right now. Also we kind of need him to figure out who set us up, if not as an informant, then as a bargaining chip.

Hoo boy, I don't know about anyone else, but I had a ton of fun tonight!

I am honor-bound to point out that there were several easter eggs in this game, starting of course with Boston Texas. Boston was a friend to Spaceman of Futuron during his adventures, and someone in last week's thread asked for a Boston cameo, so here you go!

Then there's Olga Christiensen, famous news anchor. She had her own part to play in the Spruesworth Saga, but this game is set a few years before Spaceman's big adventure, and as you can see from >>31153347
Olga used to be a slave to fashion. By the time she meets Spaceman, she's toned down her look to a more conservative bend.

We need to trace the minerals. The Barron who buys them, their competitor(s), their main consumers.

Then again, this could be a double bluff to bind the M-Trons and the Circuit-Men into a war-bringing alliance against the Empire with some 4th party acting as the savior for either side. But we should trace the minerals first.

As you commiserate your losses and conspire for the next phase of your plan, you spy across the room, flanked by a whitehat, High Lord Enir himself, on his nightly survey around the casino before retiring!

Good question!

What will you do, SX3? Your only links to the shadowy beings that lifted you out of poverty and trained you as an assassin is High Lord Enir, who had a hand in rounding up your fellow street-urchins, and Boston's hypothesizings about the Empire's benefit to war against the Circuit-Men!
>>
>>31169404
Well the High Lord is here, lets start with that. Whoever bought our last contract is a good lead.
>>
Rolled 12

>>31169404
Let Boston look into things here, we're better on the ground and travelling. If he can find out where our old contacts went, we can speak with them when we get back.

I seriously doubt that it's the whole empire that's digging for this war, it's probably just a little sect. If that's the case, then we just need to find out who it is. What are these M-Tron minerals used for? A trip to wherever they're used would tell us a lot.

Boston now calmed, you seek out the figure of High Lord Enir, only to find him being escorted through a guarded exit to retire for the evening! If you aim to catch him unaware and learn what he knows, now is the instant to act!

If not, you and Boston are safe for the moment, and may yet walk out the front doors unscathed!

Here she works, one of the lowest forced to serve the whims of the mighty. At there playtables for the evening, and as their plaything during the night. Once, she even believed the outpouring of raw emotions from a drunken Noble. Perhaps the Noble even believed them, if only for a moment before the drink surrendered it's hold on their hearts and he was force back into the world of politics. But that was ages ago, before life forced her give up such fairy tales. Now the only joy she gets is from the suffering of those who consider themselves her betters, and she relishes the rare happiness of seeing another darling fall, if only for the company.

My question is - can you use the other lego-wannabe stuff that came out? Slightly silly question, since its more then likely a "yes", but I have a chest with about 70% of the megablocks pyrate range from when I was a kid, and upon seeing this they're almost BEGGING me to dig them back up for some swashbuckling adventures.

In my defence I was born too late for the release of the Lego pirates range and never saw them in stored as a child. Plus I loved pirates enough to buy them.
Plus a lot of the treasure stuff - chests, gold piles, gemstones - that can be used at the least.

Anon, I'm so sorry.

And thanks to the predicted snow day, I don't have to go to work today, so I should be able to continue the next part of SX3's quest for revenge and galactic harmony!
