You get to work after you outline the dings with chalk- an important step especially for smaller, difficult to see damage. You grab a large power grinder and set about grinding off the flashings- bits of deformed metal still attached to the plate after the impact. You grind the edges of the various dings and divots smooth, but leave the insides coarse- you'll eventually need to use epoxy to secure the patches and a smooth surface won't hold as well.

It's a nice, involved, semi-repetative task that you get lost in for a while. Sometimes its nice to just be alone with a task for a little while.

Which is probably what attracts your crew to you. "Who are you and what have you done with our Commander?!" Roy says with mock suspicion. "Speak quickly, impostor!" You turn to see the twins Rose and Roy standing on the hanger floor, staring at you with exagerated disbelief.

"Was working on Black Jack." You say, beginning the climb up the side of the German medium tank.

"Really?" Miho says with a slightly confused look. You blink back at her- alright you need to spend more time with your tank.

"So what's up?" You ask before taking a seat on the top of the turret next to the hatch.

"Down here!" She says before ducking into the turret- you turn and crawl in through the loader's hatch.

"So. We've got a Bergepanther." She says with a sigh. "She'll be bringing it this afternoon- probably late since they'll need to load it and transport it. Luckily they're not that far away..." She speaks quickly, practically throwing the words away from her.

You ask, attempting to get her to slow down. "That's great!" You say with a smile. "We can get the B2 out of the pond..."

"Um, Russells?" Miho says, her look clearly not matching your enthusiasm for the news. "We need to talk..." She looks down and fidgets. "About my sister."

"That ain't the point," you say as you lean foreward, putting your most aggressive foot forward. "The point is that you think that by just avoiding anything that could cause any sort of problems with your family then maybe they'll all just go away. Newsflash: You already told them, they already know and you only serve to prove your mother right if you keep trying to hide me away!"

"Russells that's not what-" She starts again, but you're on a roll.

"Miho, I know your mom's scary. I knows there's some deep-seated family issues there and I know you want to avoid any sort of conflict but-"

"Russells!" She says, finally interrupting you back. "Please! I'm not trying to hide you." She looks like she's desperately trying to hold her composure- her Japanese stiff-upper lip and dedication to modesty wins out. "I just need to talk with Maho. I just... I want her to like you but I need to make sure you're both ready."

You swallow and bite your lip- it makes sense. "Alright, fine." You say finally. "Just... I don't want you to live your entire life completely dependant on what you think your family thinks of you."
