I would say no, we don't want to give away knowing anything beyond what the general public is informed of. That said, the fact that he potentially cheated in his last fight (I assume it was his last fight since we haven't herd of another since the holocaust we caught) is fair game. Still not sure we should mention it since it would imply we've been working on Brass' mental defenses, but I'll leave that call to you.

Ned flips open his phone, and texts Ric Flair

He snaps his phone shut, and steps out into the stage.

The tension in the hall is palpable as Ned steps onto the stage, followed by an eruption of cheering a Rob 'Brass Reaper' Wolfside follows him, Gold League belt across his shoulder. They take their seats in front of the assembled crowd of reporters, bloggers, camera operators and more.

Ned motions for the crowd to be silent, and is firstly to speak.

OOC: Ned is using Natural Agitator to get the crowd warmed up

"Thank you, everyone, for coming out today, and to all of you watching on the OpNet. It's a very special day today, as you'll soon find out. Now, please, everybody, give a big hand for *your* Gold League champion, the Brass Reaper!

Massive cheers once again, as Brass acknowledges the adulation

Brass's tone lowered slightly, and his face became more serious.

Under Section 49a, paragraph c(II) of the XWF bye laws" Brass holds up his title belt "I'm officially surrendering my Gold Division title for a shot at your Omega belt."

he attending audience are stunned into silence. Nobody has used the cash-in clause for years. Brass grabs the microphone from the table. and stands up.

"That's an official challenge. Regulations say you've got 24 hours to respond. Are you going to man up and face me? Because it's payback time. I'm going to leave you bruised, broken, and battered. Not just for me, but for the roster, the company, and every... single... one..." he punctuates his statements by pointing a finger at the audience and the cameras "of the XWF fans out there who deserve a REAL champion."

"Ned, handle the formalities, please." Brass drops the belt on the table in front of Ned "I've got training to do". He storms off stage.

"So...." Ned turns to the still-shocked crowd "Any questions?"

Man, that makes it seem like a standard government press release anywhere

Ami goes "yaaay!" in the hotel room as she watches the conference.

Ami: "We have to go back, now!" -she is dressed in her normal street clothes (the cold doesnt bothers her at all, after all). Jeans with a leg full of little cuts while the other is spotless, sneakers and a tight t-shirt with a short fluffy jacket and mittens as her only concession to the snow outside. Her hair is covered with a wool hat, with just a few bits of it poking out under it here and there.

Eldric: "Sure, we'll catch a cab in the evening and go to the airp--" -the young man doesn't gets to finish his sentence as the redhead picks him up over her head and darts out of the room

Ami: "I meant now!"

Eldric: "Ami! Ami calm down, we need to pack our bags, and there's no cabs this early anyway... Ami!"

Meanwhile, Samuel cuddles with Stella as they both enjoy a hot chocolate cup, sitting on the couch of the skii shelter and watching the conference on the holo there.

Stella: "Was that Ami?" -as the kids run past

Python: "Yup. But it's okay, there's no cars at this hour."

Stella: "Well, it was nice while it lasted. I guess we need to go back this evening, too"

Python: "Sure, but we still have... -checks his clock- at least 4 hours. Want to go up to the bedroom, or want to slide down the hill a last time?"

Stella: "I want to say bedroom, I really do, but I don't know if I'll ever get to see snow in my life again."

Python: "That's fine, love. Let's just finish the chocolat---" -Eldric walks back upstairs, carrying Ami- "...uhmm. At last he's getting bossy, uh?"

Stella: "Good for him."

Python: -looks down at the ebony beauty and kisses her softly- "Maybe I should get bossy too"

Stella: "It would work, but that's so not you."

Python: "Yup." -finishes his chocolate- "C'mon, lets go slide down the hill a last time. It's not like it'll take that long."
