Previously: A Young Rocket drifts through the deep sea, seeing visions of the ocean floor.

Fire roaring deep below the water, sending up gussets of steam.

An ancient ship, sunken and lost to time.

A great coral reef with stout defenders.

Yet she meets her journey's end upon a sandy beach, the morning sun waking her and drying her sea battered body.
Holding back tears at the realization that she must be so far from home, the young rocket finds herself hungry and without her friend.

Putting foot to sand, she seeks to mend both of these issues.

After a close call with a sharpedo, and a bird in the claw, The Young Rocket sees a bunch of mischievous critters hanging about large, docile monsters.
Returning a poop banana to sender, one of them tires itself out in a fit as the rest of them get worked up into their own rage.

Further north on the beach, The Young Rocket finds a fishing spot, and new friends...

Stay tuned for Claymore Attack On Parasite Pokemon Hunterformars!

So I know the one who's going to use our Macho Brace is Bruise...

But what if it's used from time to time to restrain Lilac?

>>31070631
Oh, Prof. You listed in the pastebin that we had

>Icy Wind (5) - 4 skill points
>Rest (4) - 3 skill points
>Quick Attack (2) - 2 skill points

But we haven't trained them yet. Icy Wind should still be 4, Rest at 3, and Quick Attack at 0.
>>
>>31070631
>>31070689
Also, even after training all that, we should still have 1 skill point remaining, not 0.
>>

This is now Lilac's canon breast size in the future.

>>31070689
It's as it is. I said you really only needed a training period between the "skills" like aquatic combat, guerilla, etc.
I won't hold that off.

Does Lilac use ghost powers to speed strip by just intangibility-ing through the clothes?

Is Sanna going to have to warn us about her alarming new habit of doing it in public that she developed when we disappeared?

I actually wonder how Lilac and Bruise are getting along right now... Since I was kind of under the impression that Lilac had a huge crush on Bruise, and I have a feeling she will be a lot more... "Aggressive" with her feelings then normal people.

Plus, Bruise can hardly fight her off because his fighting type is useless against her Ghost powers

Who knows, maybe the birdbros know how to do it and will teach us.

>>
The path from the fishing hole you'd met Kurojo and Mukon at isn't too far from their “city.” All the while they talk between themselves in their own rather avian dialect, sometimes throwing in a sound that sounds quite unlike.
The path itself is marked with stones here and there with the actual jungle floor mushing between your toes. You hadn't worn shoes for the mission, they'd have gotten in the way of swimming.
The trees still tower over you. Standing tall and wide. Taller even than those in the Veridian Forest.
As life buzzes through the canopy and some creatures pay you a notice from the understory you get a bit nervous.

For the most part though, the path has pretty good cover from things that lie upon the forest floor.

From what you can tell from their body language and overall size: You'd guess that Mukon is a bit older than Kurojo, and he seems to be the one leading the conversation. Kurojo is definitely the junior here, yet he's the one leading with Mukon sticking behind.

The path turns and splits off into another that Kurojo leads you down. This happens a few more times as you make some mental notes of the route At one break through the brush you see a waterfall spilling down into a river. You walk over a bridge made of what appear to be scales, bones, and some kind of rope.
Kurojo points up at the waterfall as the path takes a turn around a steep hill. “There. Shity.”

You look up at the waterfall again and see that there are especially tall trees growing up high- No. One moves, dipping down at the river. Another of those huge monsters. They live with them? That's so dangerous...

You keep your comment to yourself as you climb up the steep hill. At a point Mukon and Kurojo begin to take long leaps for the rest of the way before looking down back at you near the top.
Kurojo beckons you with a wave as you realize you're looking at what's basically a cliff face ripe with large roots that break through the dirt with smooth rocks here and there.

You set yourself to climbing, extending your claws into the dirt where you feel it to be stiffer and kicking your feet to boost yourself up.
You go a bit at a time, making decent speed, just not quite as fast as Mukon and Kurojo's outright leaps. They really jump good...

You find yourself up a bit to a root and just as you sink your claws into it, you feel something pelt your back... Something gross.

Kurojo and Mukon make a sort of chuckling chatter before they really look down. They seem to get serious all of a sudden. You start to look down...
Kurojo squawks something that you can't understand, but you''ve already paid the exact wrong thing mind.

Standing down at the bottom of the cliff is a large monster huffing and puffing in silent rage as a tiny thing wobbles upon its head before a long gangly finger points up at you.

It's the tiny mankey, and he brought his papa. You look the thing in the eye and it looks just pleased as punch for a moment.
You smile at it nervously as it sets its kid down upon the jungle floor with a pat on the head...
You swallow as it looks back to you. The glint of endless and unspeakable rage in its eyes before it lets out a primal roar and starts hauling ass up the cliff face, tearing out hunks of dirt as it rampages up.

The little mankey cheers on and you scream as this punishing primate ascends toward you.

Turn on the cold. Try to leave patches of slick ice along the path up so that it slips, and climb up with all due haste.

As we're climbing up try to get a lockon on the Mankey, then hit it in the head with Psybeam right as it's getting to the slippery section, hopefully a Super Effective Migraine combined with a slippery handhold will be enough.

You throw a hand down in your panic, lock on and fire randomly.
“No, no, no! Get away!” You yell as you fire water, which seems to run off the ape's anger as steam, then an icicle and the monster literally shatters the thing in one of its loping, climbing punches, then you finally resort to the last thing you think of- the psybeam.

You feel your gun adjust itself and let out a shimmering beam of energy, hitting the thing through one of its defensive punches. It stops suddenly, stunned by the hit, and obviously confused by what just happened.

You take a deep calming breath as the thing seems dazed, the little mankey starts screaming up its own little rants spitting venom in its own beast tongue.
Thinking in advance, you spray water over the rest of the way as you climb up a bit more before sending back a sudden horrid and chilling air.
>-5
>-7
>63% stamina

The water freezes over into slick sheets and you feel like you have some assurance as you look back up to the top of the cliff. Kurojo is sliding down to meet you, yet Mukon is nowhere to be seen. Where-

You feel a pressure at your back as something whips past. A look down and you see Mukon's dove straight into the dazed primate with his arms crossed over his chest, driving the thing off the cliff.

In a second hasty movement, he kicks off and lands beside Kurojo upon the cliff, they slap their hands together in an odd custom and Kurojo raises Mukon's hand in victory. Mukon looks as though he's flying with the way he ascends the cliff upon his talons.
Kurojo finally meets you partway down and offers you a hand with the primeape lying sorely upon the ground. His talons digging in as he literally stands half-sideways upon the cliff.

You take his hand and are thrown over his shoulder before he gives a laboring push off to ascend to the next rock outcropping. It's an amazing feeling as the win blows back your hair and his colorful feathers tickle your nose. The ground disappears so suddenly, it's as though you were never bound by it.
It'd be nice to fly one day.
A second push and the two of you are another part up.
He pauses as he finds firm footing and takes the last leap to the top, his talons slipping against the stone as the two of you begin to fall from the edge.

Suddenly, the two of you cease your fall, and there he is, Mukon standing at the top again, holding Kurojo powerfully by the forearm. The big birdman has strength...
He seems to chide Kurojo a bit as Kurojo returns his own little bit of chatter with what sounds like a sound of relief.

After getting pulled up, you brush yourself off, finding poop upon the back of your swimsuit.
That stupid mankey... You frown.

But when you look up... You see it all.

There large trees with houses built within and around them. Some are hollowed out in part, others using the large branches of the trees as support. They range from big to small with obvious differences in what the buildings are used for, though you couldn't quite say without a better look.
A river runs through the place with pools dug out and barred off from the rest of the fast-moving water. Little birdlings play in them, other, dull colored adults seem to be washing tools and other such things...

You notice the oddest thing though... There aren't really any guards. At this entrance to these grounds, the only one that lies in wait, staring in your general direction is a dull-colored whatever they are fiddling with some bones, shaving them with small tools and rocking back and forth upon a stone that seems to be carved out into something of a seat.

We're gonna kill that mankey one day. Maybe not now, maybe not soon. But far in the future, we're going to kill it.

I can feel it.

We won't even be happy about it. It'd just be nature running its course.
>>
It inclines its head in your general direction and you get the feeling of old age from the creature. In gentle avian dialect, she utters chirps, tweets and other odd sounds you'd swear to hear from other creatures.

Mukon is the one to speak to her in return. You catch, “Sherurean” among his words and the creature seems to listen intently before looking to Kurojo and trading some words with him.

Kurojo replicates some of the mankey's chatter and the primeape's fury before outright chuckling as he gives you a pat on the head.
You smile bashfully as you incline your head to keep him clear of the horn.

The old creature says,”Sharuree-an.” before beckoning you closer. A vacant stare about its eyes.

Here's another look at the suction hooks.
>>
You give the creature the brief respect of a bow as you correct the elder,”Cerulean.”

The creature inclines its head, while Kurojo taps your shoulder to draw your attention.
He places his claws together, interlacing them with his palms up. He brings them up before his eyes, obscuring his forward vision as he inclines his head, crest all the way up like a mohawk.

You begin to repeat the gesture until the elder bawks,”Kuro!” and the young bird steps back with a bit of shame.
The elder beckons you forward again and you comply without further interruption.

“Sharurean?” It asks, an old voice, eyes not looking at any particular point upon your face.
“Cerulean.” You say again, looking up into the old creature's eyes. They're kind of clouded... Is it... blind?

“Kana” It returns. An introduction?

“It's nice to meet you Kana...” Is it a girl?

You note the surroundings. This is the edge of the village. They have an old blind woman down here? Is she their lookout? You frown as you ponder the implications of this. The dome would never... The dome.. right.

Marine.

“Kurojo said that he'd help me find my friend. Can you help?” You ask, still looking up at her with your shimmery eyes, only to remember that she can't see you.

Kana slowly ponders your question,”Herrpu?” She slowly shakes her head.

“No?” You ask.

“No herpu. Kana no herpu.” She points to Kurojo and Mukon,”Kurojo, Mukon herpu.”
She points to a building deeper within the village some way. “Kahkori herrpu. Shakon Bakana Herrpu Sharurean”

You nod and feel a gentle old hand that's left its busywork upon your head, gently but firmly feeling your red hair. “Sharurean Kahkori herpu find Sharurean friend.”

“Who's Kahkori? Your leader?” You ask as the hand begins to trace the features of your face. You squint your eyes closed for a part, but don't find it disagreeable.

So anybody else think we should go native for awhile?

I kinda want to stay here until we can fly back, Learn Aura superpowers, and generally become a badass.

Marine will LOVE Arua.

>>

>>

The cliff diving and high fiveing is so Marine.
>>
>>31073855
It's not really the kind of thing we'd do. Our priority should be to get back as soon as we can. That doesn't mean we can't try to learn as much as we can, but what's most important is to be able to quickly report back.
>>
>>31073912
Think about how hard that is gonna be. It is perfectly rational to build our strength before attempting a journey back.

Not to mention bringing the power of Aura back to the Dome and how much that would help. Actually Mastering Aura would be the largest reason due to its insane usefulness and the fact that no one in the Dome knows of it, It is quite literally us bringing back a lost power. A good and reasonable cause.

As tempting as it is. And it is.

I suppose, if we can get back to the Dome safely, we could make sure this place is marked on our map so we could come back someday. Maybe we could spend a timeskip that way.
>>
>>31073723
I was thinking it's just on our swimsuit, and we have no reason to wear it constantly.

we'll probably have to, assuming we can't establish a line of communication with the dome/human civilization in the immediate future.

after we find Marine, we have to learn where we are geographically (did rocket training teach Ceru to use the stars to judge her location?) finding and or building the means of escape, acquire supplies for the journey, and potentially wait out storms or maybe even seasons for safe sailing weather.

of course this is all just an assumption.
>>
I'd imagine that Marine would be the perfect match with these birds.

When we get back, she'll probably be the one coaching people on how to use aura techniques, while we both pioneer different ways to use it.
>>
>>31073952
You're misunderstanding each other.

There's nothing wrong with building up our strength and learning as much as we can. That's what the other anon said. He's just saying that we should not delay any efforts towards finding/creating a method to return to the Dome. It should be our primary goal each day and have everything else come after.
>>
>>31073990
I'd say we should try to leave as fast as possible.

Like maybe if we're able to note the location down accurately, they'll send an Elite Four member here to learn the technique.

Because we really should try to leave as soon as we can.

Don't wanna keep the Boss waiting.
>>

Mother > Boss
>>
“Kahkori.” Her hand leaves your face just before it gets down to your mouth. She gestures to herself,”Kana Kahkori.”
She gestures to Kurojo, ”Kurojo Kahkori.”
Then Mukon, ”Mukon Kahkori.”

“You're all Kahkori?”

They all nod.
”Arru Kahkori.” Kana affirms.

She gestures to the place around you,”Karkiko.”

And that's how you found Karkiko village in the middle of the sea on an island with no name you could call it.

You left Kana and went away with Mukon and Kurojo, heading toward the place that she'd pointed out.

You receive some looks and some bird calls from other Kahkori as Kurojo and Mukon answer them back.
You give them a “hello” every now and then and some of them seem to get really excited when you talk, immediately repeating crude speech back to you as they adapt the words.
“Herro” begins to catch on and you soon start hearing it everywhere and even in some distant calls. This is actually more embarrassing than you'd reckon.

It's a pain getting back up again as you're forced to hitch a ride to the understory upon Kurojo's back. Looking back down, at the far-off earth, you kind of wonder how you'll get back down before a large eye blinks at you from the side of your vision.

Nearly jumping, you turn and draw your guns to see that it's one of those tree monsters from before. It's looking at you keenly, curiously.
Kurojo gives it a low and rumbling call that's returned in kind by the creature before it receives a passing pat upon the snout by Mukon as he urges you onward.

You look back warily at the large creature as a colorful little birdling runs by and offers it a little berry that's happly slurped up by a large green tongue. For a moment you think it's going to take the birdling too, but the result is that the birdling's just a bit sticky and tweeting cheerfully before communicating with some poorly articulated low rumbles that don't suit its high voice.
>>
>>31073952
Look. We get you're excited to learn about Aura. But you're blinding yourself to what people are saying.

We will not prioritize anything else above developing a way to leave the island.

(also holy shit, I finally managed to be online for this, it's been way too long Ygg Dearest Duke.)
>>
>>31074006
I son't think we should leave before learning a decent amount of Aura. That doesn't mean we should not find a way to leave the island. We can find a way without immediatly taking it.

Also think about how incredibly dangerous the journey back will be, we're gonna have to be stronger to make it back.
>>
>>31073990
That's a little quick, I think. I was thinking we'd pick up the basics over a year or so via timeskip.

But not now. It's not right for us to ditch our mission to do this. We should totally learn Aura stuff at some point, but it'll have to be later.

Like I said, let's mark it on a map and come back later. "I discovered a badass civilization that can teach us awesome shit" sounds a lot better than "I went AWOL for a year to learn magic powers."

It's like smell, apparently. If you have a piece of aura, you can track it, and the wind can interfere with aura detection.

Which would be a reason why Flying works well against Fighting in this universe, I guess.

You eventually find yourself in a hall built of wood and... is that bone supporting the ceiling? You blanch at the sight of a giant rib-cage holding up thatching and thick fronds.
Dim light filters through would-be windows and you see a few older-looking, yet not elderly birds looking upon the three of you as you enter.

Kurojo demonstrates the bow from before and seems to start off with explaining the situation. He eventually makes the mad ape sounds from before, says your name, points to you and even says,” Herpu Sherurean find Mah-reen.”

The old birds speak amongst themselves. There's a dull colored one with a missing eye, a bright colored one with a deep scar in his beak, and then the last one is another dull-colored one without much any extraneous damage. She seems to be the one in charge.

The tail is positioned for side-side motion like a fish, not up-down like a dolphin. It also has the glowing head bait.

Behavior in the anime is not enough to call it a dolphin. Tons of pokes in the anime don't act like the things they're based off of. If you go by anime behavior, then many of the bug pokes would be closer to dogs than insects.

They go back and forth a bit with Mukon eventually taking the floor, speaking on a bit about something before saying the word,”Punch” gesturing to you and demonstrating along with some other words and things that they went over with you during your impromptu training session that's led into the late evening as it is now.

The scarred male chortles a laugh and gestures to you,”Shrurean. Pawnchu.”

You sigh, giving a bow as instructed and demonstrate a punch, a kick, an inner crescent, outer crescent, and even a palm strike.

Mukon only corrects you three times.

By the end of it you make your case,” I was washed up on the beach without my friend... I'm not from here and would like help finding her. I'm.. lost...”

“Frohm here?” The unmarred female asks.

“No, not from here. I'm not from her.”

“Not frohm here.” She nods. “Sherurean, find Mahreen? Kahkori herpu? Sherurean rike?”

You nod, for the thousandth time, yes!

“Sharurean,” The one-eyed female whistles for attention. She rolls a claw, her eye keen upon you.

“What?”

“What.” She repeats back.

“What do you want?” you frown, scrunching up your eyebrows.

“What do ryou want.” She says again, almost mocking this time.

“I want to find Marine!” You raise your voice to the stupid monster mocking you. Really? Is it this hard for them to understand?

There's a pause this time.
“I want ryou to...” The female rolls her claw again.

You tip your head to the side, furrowing your eyebrows. “What?”

“I want ryou to...” She does so again, more persistently this time.

“Speak?” You ask, and as you do she claps her claws together with a muted sound from the feathers.
“I want sharurean to shpeak. Kahkori want to shpeak.”

“So if I talk you'll help me find Marine?”

The scarred male,”Sharurean talk, Kahkori find mahreen. It is...”

He's probably shifting between relief that she's not around to murder him anymore, anger that she went and got herself killed because he KNOWS she did something stupid to put herself in risk (which will be confirmed if he hears about the communications prior to Ceru's "death"), and then after that probably a "Yep, she's dead. if Ceru ever gets to pick her call sign, what would you like it to be?

personally, I'm leaning towards Cheshire
>>
>>31075202
I kinda doubt Devon's just accepting it, for two reasons. The first being that we were a significant rival that, while I'm sure he wouldn't admit to anyone else, I suspect he considered to be on par with himself. Thus to accept our death would correlate with accepting his own mortality, and Devon? Accept his own mortality? Right. Second he's definitely Tsundere for us, and that sort of thing doesn't lend itself to rationality.

>>31075223

Needs to be more subtle with the whole "connected to evolution" thing. Maybe have a brief feeling of her "teeth" aching, and tail suddenly feeling much stiffer. Mentally, she could hear the cry of a Barioth, or have a brief flash into the mind of Bliger.

“Yeah, well. It's fair. But why?” You ask, looking around the room to the strangers, suddenly wondering if there's more to this request.
The three look to each other before getting up, and leaving the room, beckoning you to follow.

You follow after with Mukon and Kurojo at your heels.

Once outside, the male bellows deeply, a sound you heard before- it's the one that Kurojo made a bit ago.

A neck loops up and there at the end is one of those huge tree-monsters, staring at you, eye to eye. Old and seeming to be a bit aware as a second bellow from the male ushers in a green lick and a few pats upon its nose.

The unmarred female turns to you, pointing to the interaction,”Kahkori want speak. Shpeak to...” She points to you.

“Me?”

The Unmarred nods. “Shpeak to Sherurean. Shpeak to Kahkori. Kahkori help find friend.

“What's your name?” You glance between the three. “Names.” You correct yourself.

“I name, Jojokun” The male replies as he bids the gentle giant a little farewell as it lies itself back down.

“I name, Monime” The One-eyed one returns.

The unmarred bows,”I name, Iakona”

Iakona points to Kurojo,”Find Mahreen.” The rest is relayed through other avian dialogue.

Kurojo bows and gives you a bit of a push to start walking again. After a bit, you notice that the three of you are walking along the bridges with no sign of going to ground. “Where are we going?” You ask a bit anxiously, thinking of how youre friend must be out there, scared and alone.

“Home. Kurojo home.” The brightly feathered teen offers you with a pause and another pat as he bids farewell to Mukon in his own tongue.

“Your home? But I thought we were going to find Marine?” You pout, before looking back down at the ground, like a cat that's about determined on something.

Kurojo whistles to you, you know because it sounds like your name. “What?”You ask.

>>31075504
>>[] “What's wrong? Scared of the dark?”

Let's find out their reason. We can't just leave poor Marine all alone out in the dark with noone to help her without finding out why we should do that.
>>
>>31075504
>[] “Okay, alright... Let's go.”
>[] (Other) "Can you see alright?"/"Is there anything I should be on the look out for?"

We should know if they're able to spot dangers, and if not what the dangers on this island are at night.
>>
Somebody archive this! I want to be able to read the rest of it at work.
>>
>>31075504
Ask if he can see in the dark. Ask if there are any monsters that come out at night that would be really bad.
>>
>>31075578
Don't worry. Everything gets archived.
>>
>>31075578
Uh, yeah. Don't worry about it, anon.

Did you just jump into this quest now?
>>
>>31075504
Calling it now. There's another Humantype race on this island that is nocturnal and feuding with these guys, and they're the ones who are gonna recruit Marine.
>>
>>31075607
They'd have more guards positioned than the old spotter woman, wouldn't they?

Unless the real guards only work night shifts.
>>
>>31075607
>who are gonna recruit Marine.
Brainwashing, perhaps? Ugh.
>>
>>31075607
I really really hope not.

That would kill the whole great vibe we've been having so far.
>>
>>31075607
Oh man I hope that's true and it ends up like that episode of Space Dandy.
>>
>>31075607
Oh dear lord why must you give Ygg these ideas?!
>>
>>31075638
>Marine gets mindwhammied without a friendly esper around

God fucking shitcunt.
>>
>>31075607
Stop giving Prof ideas you retard, haven't you learned anything from the fishmen?
>>
>>31075607
>>31075648
>>31075661
Maybe the Dagoon surface on this island at night to terrorize its people. Maybe the Kohkari and Dagoon hate each other.
>>
>>31075607
That actually sounds fun, if Marine isn't mindcontrolled.

>nocturnal race of assassin types
>Marine and Ceru learn fighting styles completely opposite from their normal skillsets
>have a duel against each other
>>
>>31075674
If that happened i would probably drop.

Just sayin
>>
>>31075674
I would honestly love it if that was the case. Another chance to fucking rek those things.

No talking this time, only headshots.
>>
>>31075687
Eh, we'd have to face them again some time. And having some luchadors backing us would be nice.
>>
>>31075683
That's retarded and cliche.
>>
>>31075721
What would you prefer?
>>
>>31075742
not the same guy, but Marine gets taken in by a group of muscle girls
>>
“Alright...” You submit, following after him as the birdlings and other villagers down by the pools jump up along the far-spaced steps of the trees. It's no wonder that they're good at leaping like that, they're brought up with it.

You enter a home as the dark finally falls upon the world, the only light being the moon and starry night sky streaming in through the canopy.

Within a dull-colored one, okay, these are their girls. Approaches you and Kurojo. She chitters to him affectionately before giving him a motherly hug and regarding you.
You're introduced, and after sharing enough words for dialogue you find that her name is Jokii, and she's Kurojo's mother.
You meet his father, Kankuro and little sister Kinata.

Kurojo humors your appearance and seems to be rather pleased along with Kinata to hear you speak. It's a really odd thing that talking would make anyone this happy. Then again you feel happy when Boss or Mom talks to you, so this isn't too strange you guess.

Kankuro pulls Kurojo aside for a moment as the two of them chatter.

You sit upon a leafy bed beside Kinata and Jokii, watching the two as they chitter.

You're offered some water that you gratefully sucl down much to the females' chagrin.
“So, Kurojo said that the jungle's dangerous at night. Is it really that bad?”

Jokii nods to you, acknowledging the question. “Bad night. Sherurean shtay here.”

“Is it really that bad? Are there really a lot of monsters?”

“Rot of monsters, Sherurean... Rot.” Kinata bums into your conversation.

Oi chummers. Having that trouble seeing due to tired.

Sorry to cut it short here. Winning choice will be the first post of next thread.

Heh.
>>

Rot = Lot.

Unless of course there are parasect on the island.

In that case we are very, very glad we aren't going out.
>>
>>31075852
>[x] (Other)
Show Kurojo the repel tech and try to explain what it does. That it was "tired" and couldn't work earlier, so we weren't using it. Tell him we can see in the dark and ask what kind of threats there are at night.

I think we could make a mission out there to try to save Marine from a night in the jungle.
>>
>>31075852
>[] But what kind of monsters?
>"Can't you hit them? Are they fast? Are they big or small?"

They're going to end up being Sableye, which would explain why they can't just be punched into a bloody pulp.

>[x] But what kind of monsters?(write in)
>Are there any creatures that can sense us without seeing? Like through sonar?
>Are there any monsters that stand on two legs and have two arms like us?

I assume they'll understand what sonar means just from hearing it from us and that when they say monster, they'd be including any "humanoids" in that description too.

>>31075883
They're Japanese, anon. They're not saying "rot". They're saying "lot".

Oh, that's alright, Prof. It was a good thread.

suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/31070514

Archived! YOU'RE ALL DISMISSED.

Oh, and a question before you go and leave. Our Rocket Training is at 2 because we've been training hard for 2 years, right? Does that mean it'll go up for every year of training we complete? How many years of Rocket Training do we have to go through before we're a full-fledged Rocket Ranger?
>>
>>31075896
Good show, Ygg. I'm just glad the threads are much more subdued and less rushy in terms of plot now.

What'd you think about the RIP AND TEAR?
>>
Prof needs to learn to write faster. we voted 7 times this thread, and 2 of those were combat.
>>
>>31076005
For the amount he writes, that's fine. And he usually runs for a long time; usually, we'd have potentially up to 3 more hours (2 hours lost from being late, and 1 hour from ending a bit earlier than the last few threads, but it's not uncommon for him to end around this time either).
>>
Did we ever clean the mankey shit off us or are we just sitting in this dude's house, on his bed, while caked in poo?
>>
>>31076484
I hope to god we did.

I am going to assume we did.

Prof, tell us we did that long ago next thread.
>>
>>31076484
We're gonna kill that mankey.

And we're gonna implant it in some cadet.

And then we're gonna train that cadet, bring him to this island, and have him kill all the mankeys and primeapes on it.

Dolphin murderrapist mons eh? They should be
Water/Fairy
Super Effective and resistant to Sharpedos.
They just want to have fun. Know what would be fun? A little Play Rough with that Sharpedo, they're so serious all the time. Oh look, some landwalker fell in the water, let's take them to the Fun Cave!
But seriously, I think it makes more sense. Dolphins are generally sociable, friendly, even helpful. That they happen to not give a fuck about some casual murder or rape sounds rather Fae to me.
>>
>>31077239
I am really, REALLY, not looking forward to Ygg introducing fae. They were a bag of dicks in Gargoyle Quest where every single option was the wrong option and I fear the day we are forced to relive that.
>>
>>31077239
Oh, woops. That wasn't meant to reply there.
>>
>>31077263
Prof has already introduced fairies through Lilac.

And a quick check on bulbapedia shows that the only fairy type in the human egg group is Mr Mime.

Everyone else, we can just kill. Or just not trust at all if they're intelligent enough to speak.
>>
>>31077298
OCs, yo.
>>
>>31077304
Eh, I'm sure Prof won't flood us with human fairy type OCs. Just one, since anything more than that would be a bit too...what's the word...distasteful.
>>
>>31077317
They don't need to be humanlike to be nasty to deal with. Not sure what has you thinking that.
>>
>>31077326
Was this you?
>>31077304
>>
>>31077326
Looking at his other post, I think he's saying that, compared to dealing with humans, fighting with monsters is simpler. There will always be tricks on how to fight a particular opponent, but it's more straightforward than deciding how to deal with another "human monster".
>>
So whenever we get another chunk of xp, I'd like to spend some of it on a sharpshooter/gunner skill.

Prof said we could get something like that to boost all of our "shooting" attacks. Would be good to do.
>>
>>31077549
It would be good to up our Ice Shard and Psybeam ability.

I'd also like to steadily increase our Icy Wind so that we can create a miniature Blizzard around us. I mean, it's already our most heavily invested move, so we might as well push it until we can do Blizzard.

We'll want to upgrade our Lock On and Quick Attack as well, since the latter can be chained with our shots.
>>
Is it me, or is Prof just ignoring that Tropius is supposed to be able to fly?

I mean, that one scene in Jurassic Park was cool and all, but still.
>>
>>31077591
How does that matter in regards to what's happened in this thread?
>>
>>31077590
That's all also true, but putting a flat +X on every shooting attack is still a very good idea.
>>
>>31077604
I was just referring to their massive size.
>>
>>31077615
Yeah, but Icicle Gun seems to be our main go-to ability for attacks. And Psybeam is useful just for the eventual moves we can learn from investing in it enough. And for its potential combination with Icicle Gun.
>>
We should probably see if these bird guys have encountered any other human types.

Which means we'll probably have to describe what a non-augmented human looks like.
>>
>>31077630
Shooting attacks encompasses Icicle Gun, Water Gun, shooting misc objects out of our guns (Bullet Seed, shooting metal bearings, Rock Blast, etc), Ice Ball, maybe Psybeam (not sure), and any evolved forms of those moves like Hydropump or whatnot.

Getting a level or two in a Gunner skill upgrade would provide a bigger boost per xp spent to everything at this point.
>>
>>31077657
>Getting a level or two in a Gunner skill upgrade would provide a bigger boost per xp spent to everything at this point.
Oh, I just understood what you meant. Yeah, I remember Prof mentioning us being able to learn stuff like that.
>>
>>31077657
>maybe Psybeam (not sure)
I don't think you have to worry about that once we've managed to combine it with Icicle Gun, since then the bonus would apply to that.
>>
>>31077630
I wanna learn Rock Blast and Bullet Seed.

Just kind of shove things up our arm holes.
>>
I wonder what Skill Link ability does in-quest. Just increase accuracy?
>>
>>31077704
What's this skill link you're talking about?
>>
>>31077712
You know how some moves in the videogames do that "hits a random number of times between 2 and 5" thing? Skill link makes it so that if the first one hits, then all five will hit.

I was just wondering how Prof would make that work in the quest. Would probably be come off a brain implant that boosts hand-eye coordination and aiming or something, kinda like the Remoraid lobe.

A lot of the moves it affects are shooty moves, like Rock Blast, Bullet Seed, and Icicle Spear.

Most of the pokes that get it are normal types, though I don't really want to get another implant. I was mostly just wondering about hypotheticals and thinking about other types of shooty rangers that prof could introduce.
>>
So while I feel like going out at night is a really bad idea from contextual evidence, I'm worried about Marine's chances.

Not sure if she's that kind of Elite.
>>
>>31077738
They're both shooty, but the difference between Skill Link and Sniper (Remoraid) would be in how they're shooty.

Sniper lines up one shot and makes it really hurt (buffed crit damage). Like a long-range marksman.

Skill Link makes it so you land lots of smaller shots. Like one of those trick shooters that goes through an obstacle course with a revolver and plinks everything as fast as they can.
>>
>>31075901
That's a good idea. Seems.an appropriate reason to use that volt orb.
