So, sorry for the late start, got tied up handling some things.

Work on planes and mercs continues, if slowly. My friends introduced me to path of exile and... well. I was obsessed with D2 as a teenager, so this is like a relapse.

Anyway, archives here:
http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Strike%20witches%201989

and there's a cliff notes/short synopsis here:
http://pastebin.com/zFxWNup1

if the full archives are too meaty to tackle right away. if you wanna jump in and don't want to do either, well, just ask! If one of the guys doesn't help out, I'll try to, haha.

You've been put up in the visitor's building at RAF Uxbridge, which, you have to admit, is pretty damn nice, compared to some of the VOQ buildings you've been in stateside. A war-era brick building, most of the quarters were renovated sometime in the early part of the decade, you think. They're comfortable, if not exactly huge.

Ice, on the other hand, is staying in the base's witch house- jokingly nicknamed 'baba yaga's hut' for some matron or other that had run the place in the past. You can see it from out your window, not too far from the building you're in.

You'd had to check yourself when they'd told you you'd be billeted separately, as used to being in the same building as the rest of the witches as you are. You think Ice was a bit surprised as well, though she didn't show it either. She barely even reacted when the duty Sargent gave her a knowing smile when she asked for your room number.

You can only imagine the face she got when she hit the duty desk in her civilian clothes- complete with pants. You were kinda shocked too, honestly you weren't even aware she owned civvies at all.

“So where do we want to go?” She asks, leafing through a booklet that's been put together about the city and it's attractions for allied troops on R&R. “There's the imperial war museum, and they've got that cruiser here too, the Belfast.”

“There's also the national gallery, Kensington gardens, and Trafalgar square.” You say, looking for your wallet and watch.”

“And the battle of Britain bunker here at Uxbridge.” She says. “Well, what are you thinking?”

Edward VII's wife Alexandra was the aunt of Nicholas II on his mothers side, this makes him first cousins with George V. Working from there you have George VI and Anastasia being second cousins, then you have Elizabeth II and William (Ice's dad) as third cousins. This would make Ice second cousins once removed with the Queen, I think. I spent too much time on that.

[] National Gallery, let's get away from military stuff for a while.
(Then relax in the park will come up later, but for now we're in the gallery)

“We need to get away from military stuff for a while, Ice.” You finally say, grabbing a camera and a couple rolls of film and stuffing them into your pockets. If you're going to play tourist, well, damnit, you're going to do that shit correctly. “Let's go look at art, grab some food and a couple pints, then go relax in a park.”

She hesitates- she wants to argue for a second. You poke your head out of the door and look at her. “And no, damnit, we're not going to the war museum. That's perilously close to the admiralty and I’d have to watch you like a fucking hawk to make sure you didn't go running off to them, and I'd like to relax a little too, maybe.”

She almost laughs- you can see her smother it. “Fine,” She says. “That sounds fine. Though I would like to go visit the london witch's academy, I hear it's one of the oldest in Europe.”

You shrug. “I wouldn't know.” You say. “But if we get the chance, sure. As long as you swear it's not for work.”

She shakes her head. “No, not at all. I promise.”

You nod. “Good enough, let's go.”

You end up taking a taxi- some enterprising sonofabitch realized, early on, that this was going to be a major R&R destination for NATO troops, and that none of them were likely to be able to navigate the subway system or any of the other available public transport. The taxi service running out of Uxbridge is under contract to the RAF- both the duty Sargent and the cabbie explain the system. You're given a travel sheet, and you turn it in at the end of leave for your nation and branch of service to pay back to the RAF later. You note, somewhat drily, that this only applies to you- Ice has no such paperwork. Apparently, witches travel free.

You mention it to her, and she actually does laugh this time. “Long tradition,” She says. “We're not in the states anymore, Frank. There's traditions here that date back to the Roman empire. This is just one of them- witches in service of the crown always travel free.”

“You're not really in service of the crown.” You point out. “Even if you ar-”

“I'm close enough.” She says, cutting you off. “And the tradition kind of expanded during the war, anyway, to any military witch.” She shrugs. “There's supposedly a few pubs in the city that witches eat free at, too, same kind of thing.”

“Damn, wish I got that. I can't even get free drinks at the O club at North Island or Miramar.” You mutter.

She laughs again. “Don't you usually get free meals at Santa's?”

You shrug. “Kinda-sorta, but not really. It's all technically on a tab, but he usually tells me it's on the house anyway.”

“Yeah, well. After Berlin I'm willing to bet there's a few places you'll be able to eat free.” She says, shaking her head. “Maybe not here, but there.”

You snort. “Shoulda gone to Berlin for R&R then.”

The drive doesn't take as long as you were afraid it was going to, and the cabbie- a guy named Nelson- shows you how to fill out the sheet, signing his name and having you sign off on a similar sheet on a clip board in his car. “Bloody bother, innit?” He says, getting back into his cab. “Ah well. Enjoy yourselves.” He says.

>>
“You know, this place was empty during the war.” Ice says, as you enter the building- it's a little more cramped than you were expecting, but it's still impressive. “They evacuated every single painting, some of them went out to holds, others to colleges. Can you imagine how creepy this place would have been at night, during the blackout, completely empty?”

Looking around, you kind of can, and you wish you didn't try. “We're supposed to be relaxing, not creeping ourselves out.” You say, looking down the halls. “Where do you want to start?”

She shrugs. “I'd kind of like to see the older art first, and that's out in the Sainsbury wing, I think.” She says. “But I really don't care, if there's something you want to see, let's do that.”

[x] No, that sounds fine.

“Nah,” You shake your head. “That sounds fine, let's go.”

The Sainsbury wing is a more recent addition, built specifically to house medieval and early renaissance art. You trail slightly behind Ice, noting that she's stopping to admire the art like a good tourist, just like you.

Of course, you're not sure if this was such a good idea- you're no art buff, you've always had a tough time appreciating art you're told is amazing. As far as you're concerned, the oil on canvas you have at home of a Tomcat over the water is the most amazing painting ever, and you dearly wish that more people agreed with that.

You can't help but notice, though, that, while the vast majority of the art seems to be religious in nature- you guess that makes sense, given the period they're from, that there's plenty of differences. For example, saints seem to typically have simple, golden halos- witches are always more complex, with the arcane symbols you're so used to seeing on shields appearing on halo-like surroundings over their head.

“Is that usual?” You ask, indicating one picture to Ice. She looks at it and nods.

“Yeah, that became a big thing in medieval art, and it carried on through the Renaissance.” She says. “ People were going to paint witches, but back then, it was hard to tell them apart from normal people, aside from their familiars.”

“So they got halos?” You ask.

“Kind of.” She says. “They got these for a while-” She points at the blue halo surrounding a witch's head in the painting “Till the church took exception to it. After that, it kind of changed, with the Familiar taking more of a front seat.”

You quirk an eyebrow. “You know a lot about this.”

“Just where it concerns witches.” She says. “Most of these would have been the outliers anyway, Witches who led from the front, all that.”

“Like Joan of arc?” You ask.

1/2
>>
She shakes her head. “No, actually she wasn't a witch. That's why they were able to get rid of her like they did. These women,” She indicates the painting again “Were witches that didn't buy into the whole scout or archer or healer thing.”

“I take it there weren't too many of them?” You ask.

She shakes her head again, leading you on through the gallery. “Not really, no. Back then, common practice was for witches to specialize in the bow, because projectile augmentation is an old, old trick. One of our oldest, actually. Between that and shields, a corps of witch archers was extremely deadly.”

“But in close, it's easy to lose track of everything going on and catch a spear through the chest.” She says, simply. “Shields are good, but they can't be everywhere at once.”

“Makes sense.” You say, nodding.

“Actually, let's go see the collections they have from the seventeen hundreds.” She says suddenly, stopping in front of you. “There should be some good pieces in there too, if you're interested.”

[x] Sure, let's go.

“Sure,” you say, nodding. “Let's go.”

The layout of the gallery is kind of difficult for you to track- some rooms are dedicated to a specific artist or artistic movement, some are dedicated to a specific country. You'd have probably arranged them by subject matter, but then again, no one asked your opinion on how classical art should be displayed.

“Here we go.” Ice says, stopping in front of a painting of two sailing ships locked in combat- smoke and rippling muzzle blast from broadsides in between them hiding ghostly blue projectiles. “See? The age of sail is when witches first really started to get properly integrated with everyone else. Gunpowder was a great equalizer.”

“Witch cannon crews?” You ask, leaning in closer, as if that will allow you to see into the ships on the canvas, to see the gun crews at their weapons.

“Not quite, no. If they were lucky, a ship could count on one, maybe two witches. The Swedish started the tradition, actually, with the Vasa.” She pauses. “Well, would have, if the Vasa hadn't sunk right away.”

“I think I remember that one.” You say. “Built while they were the major empire in northern europe, right? Top heavy and with too little ballast, foundered and went down.”

She nods. “It was designed with some of the first naval cannon to incorporate witch focuses, though. Her gun crews actually had witches- Gustavus Adolphus had a lot of support from their matrons. And her guns were all pretty new, and really uniform, so that helped too.”

1/2
>>
“Right, but what about this?” You ask, indicating the picture. “This is high age of sail, not the formative years.”

“Mhmm.” She says, nodding. “This would have been when the very first of the Royal navy witches were being commissioned as officers. Witches in the navy were almost always used on the gun crews- being able to punch a cannonball clean through a man-o-war is a pretty impressive advantage, especially if you can do it from well beyond the usual combat range.”

“But the tradition didn't survive.” You point out. “By the war, there weren't any witch gun crews.

“By the war, there really didn't need to be. There were better uses for us once strikers became a thing.” Ice says. “Yeah, being able to augment a sixteen inch shell from a battleship's main gun is great, but being able to survive totally hostile airspace and direct fire is a lot better.”

She shrugs. “You have to be able to see what you're shooting at to hit it, magic or not.”

You nod. “Makes sense.”

You two spend the next few hours touring the building, appreciating the art in as much as you can. Finally, You hear Ice's stomach make a long, gurgling squeal. You can practically feel her blush. “I, uh. I guess I'm hungry.” She says, sheepishly.

[x] Yeah, I can tell. Let's hit up the cafe, then we can leave for the park.

You grin. “Yeah, I can tell.” You say with a chuckle. “Let's go hit up the cafe and then we can go spend the rest of the day at the park.”

The two of you start heading towards the back of the building, and the cafe located there, when you recognize a familiar face across the way.

“Rex!” You practically yell, walking over to your brother, who regards you cooly before returning you handshake.

“Frank.” He says, nodding to you.”

“Jesus man, how are you?” You ask. “We haven't heard from you since this whole thing popped off.”

“Been worse.” He says, simply.

“Yeah, no shit. Hey, we were about to go grab a bite, you want to come along?” You ask, forgetting about your CO for the moment.

He shrugs. “Sure, I guess.” He says, turning to a smaller girl next to him. “That ok with you?” He asks.

“S-Sure.” She says, instantly reminding you of Merlin.

“Where you planning to go?” Rex asks.

“The cafe. Why, you know someplace better?” You respond.

He nods. “Yeah.”

“So how have you been?” You ask. “And don't say been better, you already used that one.”

He shrugs again. “Not bad. New outfit. Mixed.”

>>
You snort. “Yeah, I know how that is. Hang on, lemme stop being rude. Rex, this is my commanding officer, Commander Tabitha Kazanski. Commander, this is my brother, Sargent Rex Bishop, USAF.”

“Ma'am.” He says, instinctively stiffening to attention.

She nods towards him. “Pleased to meet you, Sargent. And don't worry about it, we're not on duty.”

He nods. “Guess I'll stop being rude too. Frank, this is First Lieutenant Dorothy Zelko. Dorothy, this is my little brother, Lieutenant Frank Bishop.”

“N-nice to meet you.” She says, stepping halfway behind Rex.

“Little brother, hell.” You say, laughing. “I'm all of five seconds younger than you.”

He shrugs. “You learn a lot in five seconds.”

“I'm sure.” You respond, drily. “So where are we going?”

“St. James tavern. It's a couple blocks up.” He says.

“How long you been here?” You ask, surprised he'd know about a place like that. Maybe he found out from someone he knew?

“Did some time at Uxbridge, training with the SAS. One of them clued me into it.” He says. “Prewar.”

You nod. “Oh, ok. You talk to the folks or Jake recently?”

He shakes his head. “Wrote home about a month back.”

You wince. “What about since you've been here?”

“Busy.” He responds, bluntly.

“More like don't wanna hear it from dad.” You return. He shrugs.

[x] Let it go.

You decide to let it go with a sad sigh. Your father and brother haven't always seen eye to eye, and it only got worse when Rex decided to turn down a spot at Annapolis to enlist in the air force. Your dad's mostly over it, of course, but Rex still isn't, apparently.

Well, no, you think, that's probably giving dad too much credit. To you and Jake, he's over it. In private with Rex, well... maybe not.

“So where have you been?” You ask Rex.

“All over.” He says, simply.

“Like?” you prompt.

“Germany, France.” He responds. “Berlin.”

You snort. “You were there too, huh?” You ask. “What time?”

“After you.” He says. “Closing actions. Mostly search and rescue. Not much combat.”

“How'd you know it was me? I'm not the only wyvern driver in the navy you know.” You say.

He looks over at you. “It was all over the net. French armor went in, charge of the light brigade. They'd have died to a man, but we owned the sky. The eagle himself was up there.” He shrugs again. “Didn't see it in person. Kinda wish I had.”

You shrug. “I'm still not sure what I did. Hell, I ended up in a coma for two weeks on the mercy.”

Rex gives a slight shrug. “You won.”

“Yeah, but it's never been like that before.” You say.

“Before?” He asks, looking at you.

“Tanana, well...” You shrug. “That one made sense, at least. I got hit. Japan wasn't bad at all, Iceland wasn't even a fight. Berlin...”

Rex shrugs again, opening the pub door and stepping aside to let Dorothy in. You let Ice follow, holding the door as your brother steps in.

“Berlin was different.” He supplies with a shrug. “But you proved grandma wrong.”

You snort. “You could say that.”

“Japan, huh?” He asks- his way of digging for more information.

“Yeah. Pretty quiet up till the Chinese got involved.” You respond. “At least, it was for us.”

He nods, taking a seat along the wall, facing the door. Dorothy sits down beside him.

“So you're in a mixed outfit? How's that?” You ask. “I didn't even know there were pararescue witches.”

“One.” He says. “The cap's pretty solid. Our rescue witch is ok, for a kid. Thing for swords though.”

You quirk an eyebrow. “Swords?” You ask. He shrugs.

“Cap got her one.” He says. “Two other witches, in strikers. One doesn't talk much. The other I don't know what to think about. How's Jess?”

“She's fine.” You respond. “She's been really close to the Imperial Japanese Princess though.”

Rex cracks a thin smile. “Movin up in the world.”

You shrug. “Maybe. She's here, by the way.”

Rex instinctively looks around, causing you to laugh.

“Here in England. Not here in the pub.” You continue. “Castle Barin, off the coast.”

He nods, looking relieved. “She's ok?”

“Yeah, she's fine.” You say. “Last I heard she was lurking in the communal bath far too often.”

He snorts. “Sounds like Jessica. You know what you're getting?”

You shake your head. “Not a clue.”

“Lemme order.” He says. “We've eaten here before. Careful with the stout. They ain't playin round with it.”

The meal is good- even if your company is quiet. Dorothy- callsign Ghost- is quiet, and reminds you a lot of Merlin, though you're pretty sure she's slightly older. You hope she is, given how she and your brother are acting- they're an item, for sure.

You wonder how that happened.

"So... you're the crazy stalking our wingman?" Alyssa asks. She grins at said crazy along with her sister.

"I-I-I AM NOT S-STALKING HIM!" Stalinka shouts at the blondes, indignant and incredibly embarrassed.

"Stalker?" Clarissa asks.

"Stalker." Alyssa answers.

"THE IMPUDENCE!" Stalinka roars, her familiar coming out for all to see. Most of the other witches in the room beat feet. They've heard these outbursts before. "IMPLYING THAT I WOULD NEED TO FORCIBLY TAKE POSSESSION OF WHAT IS DESTINED!"

"Well, if you knew what you were doing it wouldn't be by force~"

"These things require finesse."

"Or persistence~"

"Both helps."

"Definitely helps," Alyssa gives the young man sandwiched between her and her sister a peck on the cheek. "Ask Joe here."

Joe remains silent, clearly enjoying his current position. Stalinka decides that she hates this Joe. A man should not act so comfortable when confined as he is, she thinks.

Stalinka's rage is temporarily forgotten as she ponders this Joe and the twins at his flanks. She looks confused, blinking at the trio as she tries to analyze what has been said.

"Assuming," Stalinka begins carefully, "I had this knowledge you claim I lack-" she clears her throat. "Assuming I lacked this knowledge to begin with, h-how would I best go about employing it."

"She's asking for help?" Clarissa gasps.

"I think she is," Alyssa nods, unhooking herself from Joe.

"I DO NOT NEED YOUR HELP!" Stalinka thunders, before she seemingly shrinks where she stands. "I merely... have questions."

"You wanna sleep with him?" Clarissa snorts. "Get in line sister."

Stalinka seems to freeze in place, mumbling something under her breath. Smiling, she falls face forward towards the floor. Occasionally, she giggles to herself.

The sharktwins stare at the Russian, then at eachother, their smiles baring teeth.

"I think we can help you," Alyssa offers.

"Your problem," Alyssa begins, sipping on some tea for dramatic effect, "is that you are at a... um... TACTICAL disadvantage."

"Yeah," Clarissa agrees. "Your objective-"

"TO HOLD HANDS WITH HIM!" Stalinka shouts.

"-hold... hands with him..." Clarissa continues, stifling her laughter. "Your objective... is, ah, already...possible occupied. By... hostile forces, you could say."

"Very hostile," Alyssa nods rapidly. "Have you met our commanding officer? Her XO?"

"The Kazanski and the Snake?" Stalinka scoffs. "They are of no consequence. I find them... wanting."

"Oh, they're wanting alright," Clarissa laughs, before she realizes what Stalinka means. "Ah, um... yeah, they're totally wanting, alright..."

"Well, they DO want Bishop, so that's... accurate I think?" Alyssa continues. "Look, see, you're looking at this from a combat perspective."

"Love is war," Stalinka says stoically, clenching a fist so hard her knuckles can be heard popping in the quiet of the room.

The sharktwins scoot their chairs back; Stalinka does not seem to notice.

I don't care about the other 'waifus' as you deign to call them, I can be and are civil in discussing them, but every time someone thats not your 'waifu' gets discussed, you become petty insufferable cunts

"It matters not, my rivals pale in comparison to me." Stalinka flicks her hair over her shoulder. "I have seen their prowess in the sky. They cannot possibly satisfy him as I can."

"Note that satisfying him in your book means trying to put holes in him with guns," Alyssa says. "While some guys might find that kinda hot, I think he's looking for friendlier places to sheathe his sword."

"Lewd!" Clarissa cries out. "You're confusing the poor girl!"

"Sheathe his... sword?" Stalinka asks innocently. "Explain this to me."

"All that aside," Clarissa continues, smacking her sister lightly on the back of the head. "Look, shooting at him isn't scoring you any points, with him, or with", she intones dramatically, "Kazanski and the Snake."

"Oh man, you think they get pissed off?" Alyssa snorted. "Remember when Katya broke that one guy's rifle after Frank left for Russia?"

"To be fair, he did say that Frank was going to see his Russian girlfriend-"

The sharks stare at Stalinka.

"Well I guess I could see why he would, if that were true..." Alyssa nods.

"ARRIVE AT THE POINT!" Stalinka interjects, suddenly having moved within an inch of either twin. "You claim I am at a disadvantage."

The sharks lean as far back as their chairs allow.

"Y-You're like f-fourth or sixth in line, what do you expect?" Alyssa stammers

"Yeah, lots of witches totally want to hold hands with him." Clarissa adds. "I mean, there's Kazanski, THE SNAKE, pretty sure Merlin wanted him at some point-"

"That's totally a brother-sister sort of thing-"

"Ooooh, brother-zoned... Okay, scratch her. Pretty sure Mav wants a piece-"

"She wants Goose. Scratch her."

"Fine! Katya wants him pretty bad, for sure. Remember when she started singing in the shower for him?"

"Oh, that was *hoooooot*, she's somethin' else-"

"Are these the forces arrayed against me?" Stalinka interrupts the women sharply.

"N-not all of them," they say.

"Whatabout Power?"

"Leaky-Witch? Well, rescue romances are a thing."

"Hah! Ask Katya how she feels about that~"

"Ice cold, sis, Goddamn! Howzabout Rand?"

"Love is dead on account of verbal abuse, remember?"

"She had it coming, stinkin' jarhead."

As the sharktwins continue listing (and arguing over said list) women who appear to be attracted to Frank Bishop, Stalinka slowly relaxes and falls back into her seat. With each name, a pain she cannot describe grips her. She hugs herself, and fights the urge to sob in front of these Americans. She demands herself to remain in control, to remain the elite she was born to be.

"I... did not expect..." She begins quietly. The sharktwins look at eachother in a panic.

"H-Hey now!" Clarissa tries to sound soothing as she pats Stalinka on the head. "It's... not all that bad. You've just gotta try a, um, softer approach. If you wanna win, that is."

"Explain this softer approach," Stalinka pleads.

"You've got assets," Alyssa offers. "I mean, you're obviously a real... mankiller-"

"Unmatched!"

"U-unmatched, right," Alyssa wipes sweat off her brow. So like Clarissa was saying... assets! You totally have 'em! So use 'em!"

"I..." Tears begin forming in Stalinka's eyes. "I do not understand what these assets are... nor do I know how to use them."

"We're all virgins once..." Clarissa mutters under her breath. Alyssa falls out of her chair laughing.

"W-will walking like this truly be of use?" Stalinka says, clearly off balance as she swings her hips back and forth, walking towards Clarissa. "It feels... wrong that I am to present myself like this to him."

"Trust us, It's better than shooting at him," the shark bites her lower lip. "Relax some, you're totally stiff in all the wrong places."

"Y-yes, Comrade Styles!"

Stalinka attempts 'The Walk' once more. When the twins nod in approval, she squeals with delight before calming herself down.

"You're a fast learner," Alyssa whistles.

"I have to be."

Stalinka is surprisingly exhausted by the activity. The sharks have forced her to master this ridiculous walk. She sits down in her chair, happy to have succeeded in this latest challenge. As though there was any doubt. She feels ashamed that she had almost given up before she'd even begun.

As she understood it, her assets were somehow more than just her combat prowess. Her hips and "frontal armor plating", as one shark described them, would be almost irresistible even to some women. The idea that she possessed a weapon that could strip away the mental defenses of even a witch with such ease frightened Stalinka. Truly, she thought, she was a more dangerous combatant than anyone could believe, least of all Comrade Putin.

"May I ask a question, Comrades?" Stalinka asks. The sharks have helped her greatly, so on this day, they deserve her respect.

"Sure ya can!" Alyssa and Clarissa answer together. They seem as amused and as proud of Stalinka's accomplishments.

"Was this how you took possession of your Joe?"

"Ah-"

"Um-"

"We... used m-more advanced techniques."

"Yeah... more advanced."

"Then please!" Stalinka exclaims. "You must teach this to me!"

"Too old!" Alyssa sputters. "Too old to begin the training!"

Katya Litvyak sighs, nursing a shot glass of vodka in her hands.

She is not angry with Commander Kazanski. The recent revelations have been hard on her, no doubt. She is not even angry with her having taken Bishop with her- No, she hadn't taken him with her. He chose to go with her.

She missed him terribly. As upset as he could make her with his apparent obliviousness, she missed him.

"One week," she mumbles, finishing the shot. No more, she could not be seen like this. She places the glass in the sink and returns the bottle of vodka back to where she found it. It was time to turn in.

Walking through the corridors back to her quarters, she hears the faint sound of music coming from a room close to hers.

'Abba?' Katya guesses. The tune was familiar from something the Sharktwins had sung together in a drunken stupor. Something about a dancing queen.

The music gets louder as she approaches the source: Stalinka's room.

"What on Earth?" Katya whispers. The door is cracked open enough that she only needs to push it a little bit more to see what is going on inside.

Stalinka is marching back and forth in her room- No. Not marching. This is... not what Katya expected at all.

Stalinka 'walks', sashaying her hips to and fro, counting each step as she walks, one foot placed carefully in front of the other. She walks towards the door, spins around, thrusting her hips to one side as she does, and marches back in the opposite direction.

Feeling lightheaded, Katya staggers at the sight, and falls towards the door. Crying out with surprise, she tries to stop herself, but it is too late, and she falls into the room.

Stalinka screams in panic, caught mid-step as she was turning back towards the door. In one leap she clears the whole room and mashes a finger on the power button to the tape player.

"M-M-MY RIVAL CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO SEE THIS!" Stalinka yammers, picking Katya up by her uniform collar and depositing her outside of the room, slamming the door shut.

(oops, last post was too long)

There is a long moment where both witches stand on either side of the door, Stalinka bracing herself against it to deny entry to the intruder. Katya leans against it, believing that perhaps she had drank more than she should have.

"Wh-what does C-Comrade Litvyak want?" Stalinka asks.

"I... ah, I heard music... so..."

"Y-yes."

The most awkward pause.

"What were you doing?" Katya finally asks.

"I was... practicing." Stalinka answers after a long delay. "The Styles twins informed me of your natural grace... and s-so..."

"Have they now?" Katya chuckles.

"The walk was f-for my love, with whom you were UNFAIRLY acquainted with before I was!" Stalinka continues. "You sh-should not have witnessed it unprotected! I have been told it can even affect women!"

Katya falls to her rear, laughing so hard she almost feels faint.
