YOU ARE LOLI,

you're stood in the open near the bar of Yanov station. The only other person out of cover is Lt. Colonel Shulga, leader of the Duty members in Yanov, who has just demanded your surrender after having interrupted your photo shoot by blowing out the door with a tank cannon.
Said tank has its barrel trained on you, while the members of both Duty and Freedom are taking cover in their respective halves of the station, weapons trained on each other. Kris and Ice are in cover behind an upturned table to your right, Vasa is kneeling by the bar, rifle at the ready. The neutrals in the room are spread through what cover they can, or lying un-moving on the ground from where they got hit by the first cannon blast.

You're facing off against Shulga. He's unarmed at the moment, while you're holding the huge machine gun Hawaiian gave you for the shoot at your side.

"...Well? What is your answer?" The eyes of every person in the room are fixed upon you and you alone. Apart from Vasa's. She's staring at the tank, and you can tell she's judging where the shell is going to land, and whether she needs to move away from it before she reaches for the rocket launcher still slung over her shoulder.

A maniacal grin spreads slowly across your features. "My answer? Well, my answer would be this."
You pull the trigger.

The pull of the gun is huge. You were expecting some force, but this is insane! As it fires, it leaps back in your hands and you barely manage to keep your grip on the beast as it begins spraying leaden death across the room.

Shulga barely manages to hurl himself to one side as your first rounds go wide, but you begin tracking the gun around to the hallway the other bad guys are taking cover in. As your rounds slam into the walls, they simply blow straight through the thick plaster leaving fist-sized craters in their wake. There are a few screams of pain and cries of panic as the men inside dive to the floor or for better cover.

As your burst comes to its end, the green guys on your left let out an almighty cry before breaking from cover and spilling out into the main room, firing everything they have at their enemies.

It suddenly dawns on you that you're still stood in the open, and you quickly toss the machine gun over the bar before tossing yourself bodily after it. And then the cannon fires again.

The blast is deafening, and the participants on both sides of the battle stumble about for a moment, stunned as the room is instantly filled with a thick, permeating dust. The shell flies past where you were standing just a heartbeat before, clipping the wall behind you and taking a massive hunk with it as it continues on its path to carve a further chunk out of the next building along.
>>
>>30992945
You pop your head back up over the bar, and see Kris and Ice still dug in, taking a few pot-shots at the guys in the corridor but generally staying down. Vasa has already shifted to the passage on the left, taking cover as she hefts the rocket launcher onto her shoulder, rocket in place in the muzzle. A quick glance back over her shoulder, then she pulls the trigger. The round flies true, straight into the turret of the tank just next to cannon. There's another almighty boom, and the tank is wreathed in fire and smoke from the blast. The green guys let out another cheer as they push forward again, gunning hard at the reds who are desperately trying to find good positions to fire back from.

The elation is short-lived, however, as a sudden burst of heavy machine gun fire spews from the ball of smoke, cutting down three greens in a single volley. A scramble as they quickly regain their positions of light cover in the open. The tank's engine roars to life, and the tracks start to turn, the monster begins creeping ever so slowly into the room.
>>
Oh good, I'm not arriving horribly late. Still can't believe we're actually doing this. Good luck fellow anons.

As it creeps in, a couple of the reds break cover and rush the tank, using it as cover as they start to press back against the greens. By this point, you notice that most of the neutrals have managed to either crawl downstairs, flee the room, or are most probably dead. Good thing you don't have to worry about collateral so much now. You grab your heavy machine gun once more and heave it over the bar. There's a pair of little legs on the front of the barrel, so you use them to rest it in place as you take aim, opening up on the men behind the tank. One of them jerks backwards, a large portion of his helmet and face missing, and his buddies drop back into cover behind the tank. You keep firing, spraying rounds across the other side of the room.

After what feels like an age, Vasa is finally ready with her second rocket. She hefts the launcher back onto her shoulder, checking behind her again. "LOLI, GET BACK!"
You quickly take two steps back as she fires the second rocket, a wave of smoke and gas blowing past the bar. The second rocket hits the tank square on once more, on the front of its hull. The tank instantly lurches to a stop. You're about to let out a cheer of your own when the turret suddenly begins to rotate, bringing its weapon to bear on

A hearty curse, and Vasa scrambles back into the corridor away from the room as the cannon fires. The shell tears clean through the wall, as well as the wall behind that, breaching the bar area and missing you by just a few feet before blasting its way through the far wall and into the distance once more.

You mentally thank the tank crew for their assistance, before clambering through the exit they've just provided you and sprint along the side of the building. As you round the corner, you find a wooden fire escape door being thrown open as Vasa appears from inside, covered in soot and dust.
"Well, this is a novel experience," she states dryly at you as she continues attempting to load the next rocket into the muzzle of her launcher.
Before she's done, a figure appears from the next corner. A large man in the heavy armor covered in pipes. He turns, quickly trying to bring his rifle up to you, but you're faster. You let out a burst from your machine gun into his chest at near point blank. The force tosses him backwards off his feet and he lands heavily. You stop firing, letting out a breath, and then notice he's still twitching. Not just twitching... he hauls himself right back onto his feet!

Before he can regain his feet, you drop your machine gun and pull a combat knife, hurling yourself onto him and driving your blade into him. After a few inches, your blade comes to a stop in his chest armor, and snaps. Without even a second thought, you let it go and draw your second, punching it into his face. The helmet cracks a little, giving way, but doesn't punch through as much as you'd like. Your third blow, you aim for the gap under his armpit and shank upwards. Again, the blade bites, but not deep enough. He recovers enough wit to resist by this point, and punches you in the face. You feel your nose break. You let your second knife go as you fall to the side and pull your survival knife. He rolls over, trying to follow up his attack on you, but you respond by slipping the blade under his chin and yanking to one side. The blade bits deep, and the man dies quickly, choking on his own blood.

Vasa is finally finished preparing her rocket again, and you nod to each other. You peek around the corner, and see the side of the tank poking out the building. A few more men in red are splaying out and taking better cover outside the building as they fire in at the survivors inside. You give Vasa a tap on the shoulder and she pops up out of cover, firing her third rocket at the tank.
Again, it finds its mark, smashing into the side armor of the tank. The blast knocks two of the men around it flat as the rest of pushed off balance. After a long few seconds of both of you staring at the tank, waiting for the smoke to clear, you finally see some damage inflicted to the metal monstrosity.
One of the layers of brick things lining the track falls off.

"This isn't working... Vass, cover me!" You stand and rush for the tank, a knife in each hand. The first man doesn't even see you coming, and you plant a bladed kiss on his neck as you pass. The second has just enough time to face you before you're upon him, sinking both knives into whatever weak spots you can find, tearing into him over and over until he's finally critically wounded. The third manages to line up a shot on you before his brains evacuate his skull, painting the tank treads as Vasa's round passes clean through him.

You quickly reach the side of the tank, and catch a glimpse of the inside of the station. It's not pretty. You can see Sergei is lying face-down in the rubble just the other side of the wall from you. You think you can see Ice sitting against the wall behind the upturned table, his face slick with blood. Kris is over him, desperately working. Most of the guys in green and yellow are dead or dying throughout the room, a few still staunchly fighting on in their corridor. The Duty members have them pretty well surrounded, and the tank seems to be simply watching it all lazily.

You bring your focus back to the tank, taking the last of the plastic explosive and detonator from your pack and trying to find a place on the tank to stick it...

As you kneel, desperately looking over the entire tread and trying to find a spot that would definitely inflict damage, you find your hands subconsciously working at the doughy explosive in your hands.
Finally, you accept that you can't find the perfect spot to blow the tank to bits, (a spot you don't even know exists), and make do with slipping your extremely detailed butterfly behind the rear wheel. It sticks well enough, and you plant a detonator into the body of your butterfly before scarpering away from the tank. Vasa's rifle rings out a few more times over your head before you slide into cover beside her and hit the button.

The noise is a quiet thump instead of a boom, the blast contained by the wheels, tread and tank. A second later, the noise is followed by a clang as the track slumps unenthusiastically to the ground. The engine roars loudly, then sputters and dies.

Quiet descends upon the scene. And then with a cough, the engine growls back into life.

Shulga's voice sounds out from behind the tank. "That's enough, GiltinÄ—, enough. Don't make your friends die for you here. Surrender now, and perhaps we can overlook this... misunderstanding."

There's a long pause, no-one moves, though you can hear a number of voices groaning in pain from inside the building. Kris' voice rings out. "LOLI! LOLI HELP! I- I CAN'T STOP THE BLEEDING! ICE! ICE IS..."

With three words, you tell him what you think of his offer, quick-drawing your pistol and squeezing off a round. The round catches him dead in his unarmored face, ending his life with a single splatter.

In response, the turret once more begins its inexorable turn. It comes to a stop facing you, jittering a little as it stabilizes, and fires once more. The shell catches the wall above you, spraying you with rubble but doing no damage.
Vasa screams. You whip your head around to see a large, jagged piece of masonry jutting from her shoulder. She falls to the ground, blood spurting over you as she goes, before quickly losing consciousness.

The two outside both break to face you, spraying gunfire across the roof of the tank. You manage to step sideways, taking cover behind the tank's turret. After what feels like minutes, but was probably just a few seconds, both men click empty. You pop up again and empty your own mag into the left-most man, furthest from the wall. He crumples, still alive but out of the fight. The other finishes reloading and bring his rifle to bear on you; you pull your second pistol and put rounds down first, taking his life before he could take yours. As the men inside scramble into better positions to counter you, the machine gun on the top of the tank lets out an electronic whir before spinning about to point at your face.

You leap over the gun just as it fires again. You feel a searing pain along your lower leg as the flash of the muzzle burns against you. As you hit the ground, the pain jumps up, stinging through your muscles and you stumble, tumbling to the ground. As you lift your head, you notice with horror that the man near the bar isn't pointing his rifle at you, but at the table Kris is still behind. You manage to draw your second combat knife and toss it from your position on the ground.

The world slows around you as you watch the knife fly, hoping against hope. The man catches the flicker of movement in the corner of his eye, and you watch him twist. Far too slow. The blade catches him, carving through his helmet like butter, penetrating deep through his eyeball. With a spurt of red, he topples backwards, dead before he hit the ground.

You let your breath escape, before remembering where you are and pushing more energy into your arms. The men in the corridor have zeroed you in, but you notice on the ground before you. One of the dead men is wearing a vest absolutely covered in grenades.

No really, I was told a grenade does damage in a 25m radius, and that's in a forest. Inside a building, the shrapnels would fuck everything up
>>

I figured her shots were mostly dictated by where she actually was relative to the tank. First two times she was shooting from inside the building, so hitting the side would be kind of hard.
>>
>>30995294
In a single, smooth movement you free one of the grenades from his vest, pull the pin and hurl it overarm into the corridor. One of the men manages to fire off two rounds at you, both of which hit you square in the chest, before the grenade bounces off the doorway beside him and into the corridor. In a panic, the entire lot of them dive for the grenade. Apart from one who tries to leap out of the door into the room with you. You place your last pistol round into his face as the grenade detonates, wiping every single one of them.

Right, now for the tank. With a titanic effort, you ignore the horrific pain now shooting through your entire upper chest as you heave yourself upright. The turret once more drags itself around to face you. With as much haste as you can, you pull the pin on the next grenade and shove it deep into the barrel. You duck and roll, taking cover underneath the tank itself as the grenade detonates, distorting the barrel.

It looks like that's as much as you're going to be able to achieve... you can feel the darkness closing in around you, as you hear the distinct sound of a latch being pulled back,
and the tank's hatch being pushed open. "Where the hell did she go?"

"Hey, careful man. She's still here somewhere."

"Jesus, close the hatch! She's gonna kill us all!"

"We're all that's left, private. We've got to find her."

A pair of boots hits the floor right in front of your face.

You push back the darkness as best you can. There's just... one more. Almost there. As the pair of boots begin to turn on the spot, you lash out with you knife, cutting the man's tendons. With a squeal, he drops to the ground beside you and you jam the blade deep into his throat. Acting quickly, you roll over his body out from under the tank, and snatch the shortened rifle out of his hands, spraying the front of the tank with it, rounds flying before you'd even acquired a target. One man is sticking his head out of the tank, a clearly terrified look on his face. The look disappears, replaced with one of shock as you murder him. The second man at least manages to try to bring his own gun up to his shoulder before your rounds spray across his chest and end his life.

Silence descends on the room, and you congratulate yourself on an enemy well slaughtered before you finally pass out.

"How is everyone?" You ask in a weak voice, your chest barely able to lift enough to let you even breath.

Kris stops her work, gently placing her tools down on the table, before purposely turning to look you in the eye. She steadies herself, taking a deep breath. Her face perfectly neutral.
"Ice lost too much blood before I could stop it. If he doesn't get a transplant very soon, he's dead. Vasa's in a bad way. I don't know if she'll survive the night. Even if she does, I'd be surprised if she doesn't catch an infection. And it'll be a miracle if she ever regains use of her arm."
"As for you, the burns on your leg aren't too bad. And the body armor in your jacket took most of the energy out of the rounds, so you should be fine if you'd sit still and let me close you up."

"And... everyone else?"
She remains silent, continuing to work on your chest.

You hop down off the table, pulling your shirt and jacket back on. "Keep everyone safe Kris, I'll bring help, I promise." You take a step towards the door before she catches you by the arm. You're still mid-turn when she catches you with a hard slap across the cheek. The force whips your head around.

You look up into her face, frozen in utter shock. There are tears finally forming in the corners of her eyes. "If she doesn't make it, I will never forgive you." She lets go of your arm, and quickly sets about stripping the shelves of useful medical equipment. You stumble out of the room and down the hall towards the bar, the faint sound of choked sobbing following you.
>>
>>30996686
The bar is as you left it: a battlefield. Most of the walls on both sides are gone, the tank is still parked, its crew slaughtered across it, jutting out one side of the building. The entire building is littered with the corpses of both sides, as well as a number of men who were just here for a cold drink with their friends.

Ice and Vasa are both laid out on a table on the far side of the room. Both of them are still unconscious, and coated in a lot more blood than you're used to seeing from living people. You take out your PDA and make a call to Beard. He answers swiftly.

"Hey lass, haven't heard from you for a while. How're things over there?"
You do your best to relay the situation as quickly and accurately as you can: about how Kiyiya's dead, how Duty threatened you with a tank, and how everyone's descended to chaos from there.
There's a long silence once you're finished.
"I... really don't know how to help you, lass. I'll send a team over as soon as I can, they'll bring whatever supplies Doc suggests. And I'll make some calls, see if there's anyone in your area that could help. My suggestion, though? If you don't want to be part of what's coming, you need to get out of there before anyone finds you in the middle of that mess."

"But Kris said we can't move the others," you inform him.

"Well, that's up to you. I'm sorry, I can't help you any more than that." He wishes you well and ends the call.

You decide to go look for the bunker. You remember the general direction Sergei pointed out back when you first arrived here. It should be easy enough to find. Once you get past the rail tracks, it's pretty obvious where the place is. There's a huge valley sloping away under you at the end of the tracks, filled with a thick swampland. In the very center of your view ahead is a tall, white building sticking out of the landscape, surrounded by a perimeter of heavily-armed men.

It doesn't take you an overly long time to pick your way among the dangerous-looking foliage and the worst swampy ground, descending down to the bunker. You're there within ten minutes and openly approach the nearest bunch of men. They'd noticed you quite a distance away, so anything else would probably have drawn their ire. You stop a few meters from them as a large man takes a few steps towards you. "What business do you have here, GiltinÄ—?"

Vasa is going to need some real bullshit to survive this...

...hang on. I just remembered something.

The Hawaiian has a metric shitload of artifacts. At least one of them is supposed to be able to heal things if I remember right (it's been several threads gimme a break)

You think there's any chance we can send Kris to borrow it? (or possibly "borrow" it) gets her on our good side if it works, and at least shows that we care about the people we've become close with.

>>

Doesn't it protect from damage, not heal it? Besides, we may need to trade it for whatever help we can find here.
>>
>>30997032
>>30997073

Yeah, according to the last thread it made you resistant to damage, as opposed to healing it.

still think we should try and arrange *something* to help - maybe with the cash we got from the photo shoot and the kolobok we could afford something?
>>
>>30997183
>>30997073
http://stalker.wikia.com/wiki/Kolobok_(artifact)
According to lore and gamplay mechanics it does heal.
>>
>>30997183
That's the idea. Nobody here is likely to help us just because we're famous or cute.
>>
>>30997206
Well, the others said it makes us more resistant to damage, so I'd guess we're dealing with the SoC version, possibly made less abstract than the ingame version so that it's generally more resistant to being damage instead of just more resistant to one kind of damage. Or the others didn't know what they were talking about in which case I guess we don't either.
>>
>>30996962
You straighten up and address the man, "I wish to see the scientists here."

The man heaves a deep sigh, as if that's something he's sick of hearing. "Alright, alright. Weapons out. No artifacts that emit radiation, no electronic devices. Everything does in the box." One of the other men grabs a small plastic tray and hold it out to you. You quickly strip down, dropping all offending items into the box. When you're done, you stand up straight again. The man raises his eyebrow at you, and nods downwards. You grimace, and take the second knife from under you shirt, dropping it in the tray. Once done, the man leads you into the bunker. It's the same deal as the previous one you visited, with the double-door system and the spray shower. The big man doesn't even react to the spray, simply idling as he waits for the door to unlock.

Inside, he leads you quickly past a number of side room and straight into a bigger section filled with lots of whirring electronics. "Professors, you have a visitor," the big man says, before turning and leaving you. Two men in light blue lab coats turn to regard you as you enter. One, a scrawny-looking man with well-kept black hair snorts derisively at you before turning back to his machines. The other, a bald, friendly looking man, smiles warmly at you.

"Hello, dear. It's always nice to see a new face here. Can we help you with something?"

"There was trouble up at the station," you tell him. "My friends... they're hurt. We really need help!"

"Oh dear," he genuinely seems worried at the news. "Hmm. We could send the field team to help, but... we only have limited resources out here..."

[ ]Offer to work for them.
[ ]Offer to pay for it.
[ ]Forget it.
>>
>>30997310
Technically speaking, the fact that it heals wounds could lead one to say/believe that it does make you more resistant in a way. A bullet would would heal instead of bleeding out and thus makes you more "resistant".

And Vasa only knows from heresay.

[X] Offer to work/run errands for them

We might as well mention the kolobok to get IC information that isn't complete hearsay. Might work as something of a down payment?
>>
>>30997361
"I can pay you for it! I have money, and stuff I can trade you? Please... don't let my friends die!" The man winces sympathetically, but still shrugs his shoulders. "They call me GiltinÄ—, you know?" The scrawny man's head perks up at that. "I could work for you. That's gotta be worth helping me save my friends, right? I'll help you with whatever you need if you help them!"

"Well, you can say that, but we still don't-" The bald man is cut off by the scrawny man.

"Yes, yes. We accept. Ozersky, mobilize the field team. Have them escort this girl back to her friends. Treat them, heal them, whatever. Then have them bring her back here." There's an evil glint in his eye as he looks you up and down. "Yes, hmm. You should do nicely."

The other man, Ozersky, quickly places a hand on your shoulder and leads you back out of the room. The big man is still waiting at the door to the bunker. "Topol, you have a new assignment. Take your team and follow this girl back up to Yanov station. Her friends there are in need of your assistance. Provide whatever you can, and bring them back here if need be."

He nods once, then leads you out to the rest of his team of four. As they start getting ready, he gives an extremely terse introduction. "This is Mace, Snake, Spirit. Stay close to us, and try not to get in the way."

You nod vigorously, and set out after them. They set a rapid pace climbing back up the hill towards the rail station, which you're grateful for.
What you're not grateful for is the sight when you get there.
>>
>>30997778
The field team freeze in their tracks. "What the hell happened here?" Topol asks no-one in particular.

"Duty did," you answer him. You cast your gaze about the ruins. It's mostly the same, apart from a few key differences. The most noticeable difference is that the tank is gone. The wall it was pressed into has collapsed entirely, and there are a pair of track marks in the mud leading away from the building, towards the road.

The more pressing difference is that Kris, Vasa and Ice are nowhere to be seen.

2) Round up Freedom.
3) Wipe Duty from the face of the planet.
4) Work for the scientists.

Thanks for the thread, folks. Since there's interest, I'll see about putting up some notes on how the arcs could have gone. I will need to filter some of it, as the content may be recyclable into more fun adventures. I'm not sure yet.

As always, the rest of this thread is free for discussions and Q&A. I shall linger for as long as I'm wanted.

I forgot the second part of the thread OP, so here are links.

Yes. And slow. Very, very slow. He has two children with a wife that he was sending what money he could to. Though they probably won't notice that he's gone, apart from the money no longer being sent their way. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with Loli. It was certainly an adventure that was better than his time guarding Sultan. His lasts thought was "It hurts, it hurts, oh God it hurts."

Well, I guess the scientists thing can go two ways from here depending on how they see it:
1) their mission just got cancelled
2) their mission just got a lot more complicated

I'd imagine they don't want to get involved in the war, so logically speaking we don't really owe them anything since they didn't actually end up doing anything for us. Right?

Not yet, but when we decimate Duty, we (should) save Kris, Vasa and Ice too, and then we will need their help.
>>
>>30998166
Pay the gas, and a call to Freedom they are neutral-friendly.

Also, it is possible they were picked up by friendlies or neutrals. Sending a secondary convoy with another tank is going way overboard and suicidal.
>>
>>30998238
I don't think they sent another tank. They just left with the one we actually disabled. And it must have been Duty. Otherwise Kaleun can't nudge us towards what he had in mind since they appeared in the station.
>>
>>30998270
>>30998270
How long did the trip take, then? Tank had a busted tread and a near dead engine.
>>
>>30998224
>>30998238
If they were taken by Duty, they're either dead or they'll just threaten to kill them if we try to fight them. Either way that's shit. Anyone could've taken them though, all we know is they were capable of driving the tank back out of there and probably numerous enough to make Kris surrender without a fight. Not that we'd be able to tell if another fight had taken place here...
>>
>>30998345
Were the tracks busted at all? I know we placed our explosives there, but the update didn't seem to indicate that they were really damaged...
>>
>>30998345
It couldn't have been half an hour. Way too little time for someone to come, repair the tank and get away, especially since we didn't see anything for the first couple of minutes while the building was still in sight.

>>30998349
It's Duty, for storytelling reasons, you'll see.
>>
>>30998372
Or it's Shota.

He's the final boss, remember.
>>
>>30998404
Please don't remind me of that.

>>30998349
I predict that Duty took them and will ransom them for us. "Turn yourself in for our very fair trial, especially now that you have killed many of our people, and your friends will live! I pinky promise on Duty honor."
>>
>>30998404
>>30998372

It's Kriss. She decided that we are too dangerous to be around.
>>
>>30998439
It's both of them. Shota is her younger brother and they're both evil.
>>
>>30998439
Did she finally betray us? I was willing to accept the slap because she was worked up emotionally to see we were the only thing standing between her and a firing squad, but this calls for revenge.
>>
>>30998485
Nah, the "Kris is evil" is just bullshit I made up for fun after a thread but it unintentionally made sense to a bunch of anons. At worst she's just keeping secrets, but any kind of master plan at this point would have stopped making sense long ago.

It's perfectly possible though that she decided to abandon us without needing anyone pointing a gun at her because of finally realizing that we're not worth it.
>>
>>30998366
The rear wheel fell off.
Someone with a spare wheel, or a big enough hammer, could put the thing back on and slip the tread back into place.

The engine wasn't dead. The only reason it sputtered at all was because the crew were shaken and the driver accidentally stalled it trying to react to you.
>>
>>30998640
That only makes it easier. We find her and befriend the fuck out of her.
>>
>>30998689
What? We were gone for two hours?
>>
>>30998689
Fucking tracks man, so OP.

>>30998692
Easier than fighting the entirety of Duty? Yes, probably. Kris has been pretty forgiving so far though, if she's finally run out of forgivings... Well that's definitely not good.

>>30998779
Where do you read that?
>>
>>30998689
What would we need to do to have wings?
Can loli breathe acid?
Is it possible to hold hands with monolith?
>>
>>30998779
If you haven't noticed, the distances in this quest have been increased for realism.
>>
>>30998822
Vasa backed us up during the attack, once she regains consciousness she can throw in a good word for us. Besides, we saved her from Kiyiya's grenade.
>>
>>30998824
Anon... Where are you getting these ideas?

I can answer your last question though. The Monolith is a monolith. It doesn't have hands.
>>
>>30998822
That's sort of how long it takes to replace a tracklink with only what is on the tank.
>>
>>30998878
The track was still intact.
If the track had been damaged at all, the entire tank would pretty much be a scrap job. Noone in the zone has heavy lifting equipment.
>>
>>30998907
How long would loli need to be inside radiation to get magic powers?
>>
>>30998868
Eh, she was always of the opinion that we were going to get them killed. As much as we've got her to ease up, she'd probably still be likely to abandon us the moment Kris stops opposing the notion.
>>
>>30998938
Slightly longer than it would take for her to die.
Or no time at all.
Depends on what you mean by magic powers.
>>
>>30998938
Just let the scientists play with loli, she'll get super powers (we already have a few superhuman ones) up the wazoo
>>

>>
>>30999349
Sergei was injured during the first blast when the tank arrived. Sergei's survival was dependent on a swift end to the engagement. Not any particular end leaning in any story direction. Any end at all to the fighting.
However, the battle dragged on long enough that he, and all the other fighters and neutrals involved, bled out and died before anyone with medical competence could get to them.
(There were a LOT of bodies for Kris to go through all on her own.)
