The last thing you remember is having a very busy day. The first thing you remember is an invitation to meet your sister.

Your name is Alice, and you are currently a very nervous Infiltration/Assassination android who has just been invited to meet one of your sisters for the very first time since discovering that they're still alive.

You've been told to go to the Artemis, and your memory tells you that this is an independent research vessel docked at the Sea Wall.

This pretty much means you won't be going to sleep tonight, so you grab your usual equipment and leave a note for Rebecca when she gets home, that way she won't be worried.

Exiting the apartment that you now live in with your beloved Ian Carter, you once again head out into the night-time streets of Old City, one of three areas of The City, a massive trading hub in Kazahkstan.

You take the time to remember all that's happened to you over the last week or so. Waking up near a helicopter crash without your memory, meeting Ian, trying to find out the truth of your past, discovering that your F...Fa...That Man, is now your enemy and your Mom is in hiding somewhere, the revelation of Project Golem, and the involvement of the United States.

All of it, a dense and complicated tapestry that you just can't fully see. What do you do when the big picture is just too big?

What can you do when all you can do is keep picking at loose threads without any clue as to what it will unravel?

It's frustrating.
>>
1d100 for general voting, best roll out of five is chosen.

Combat is 1d100 with modifiers for how many shots you fire in combat. Best out of three roll is chosen.

Burst Fire and Full-Auto Fire attacks can be done multiple times in one action, but each attack after the first incurs a cumulative -10 penalty.

Body armour subtracts from total damage done per attack.

You can target multiple enemies in a single action. Roll 1d100+modifier for each target. Specify for each roll the target and the attack used.

Takedowns and Executions are 1d100-20 and a short paragraph describing the Takedown or Execution. Best out of three rolls is chosen, but I will pick which action description looks the best to me.

Reactor Charges are your healing mechanic. Expend a Reactor charge and roll 12d6. Reactor Charges stack, and are regained through Takedowns and Executions.

Stability is a measure of your Yandere psychological state. If you lose a certain amount, known as the Snap Limit, you Snap and enter a state of emotional hysteria and brief psychosis. Lose all your Stability, and you go Berserk, and will perform a violent action, often against your love interest.

Relationship is how strong your relationship with Ian Carter is. You have to keep your relationship as high as possible. If you drive the relationship down into negative numbers, Ian will reject you, and you will proceed to murder him and commit suicide.

Good luck.
>>
You wander the streets, heading in the vague direction of the Sea Wall, considering how you can't see just how far this conspiracy, because that's what it has to be, stretches.

Still, this is an opportunity. The Neural Core in your jacket pocket is likely a treasure trove of information, and your sister could very well provide a great deal of information as well.

You feel in your pocket for the Black Plug, and also promise to get some answers.

You head to the rooftops and begin leaping from rooftop to rooftop, approaching the Sea Wall at a dead run, your non-human capabilities allowing you to reduce over an hour's worth of travel to barely twenty minutes.

As you leap from a rooftop in the Slums and slam down in an empty alleyway, you take a breath to prepare yourself before walking into the Sea Wall.

The massive construction is a hive of activity as always. It's as if the Slums never sleep, but the same could be said of all cities, couldn't they?

You wonder what to do now.

You do, but that only works for locations that you have a GPS position for. And there are several ships docked at the Sea Wall.

>>30836482
i guess we'll ask our sister where she is at if we can't find her first.
>>
>Find some signs.

You wander around until you find what looks like a multi-level map of the Sea Wall.

Currently, you're on the Sea Level area, and you need to get to the docks. The main problem is that reaching the docks is not a straight shot.

The map clearly shows that the Sea Wall's interior is a maze. One screw-up and you'll be wandering the place for hours.

You memorise the map and plan your route.

>>30836721

>>
>Roll: 72

You map out your route in a three-dimensional extrapolation and begin navigating the twisting, turning corridors of the Sea Wall.

Several times you go up several levels onto go down even more levels, crawl through a shortcut that you found, and eventually, after being forced to use a rope ladder, you find the Artemis.

It is a heavily converted mega-tanker, with a forest of antenna and satellite dishes on top, studded with modified CIWS and Tank Guns for defence.

Ah, good, you've come. Tell Walter that Elise is expecting you.

You nod and head down to the Artemis where a slab of muscle is standing guard.

He blocks your way, "Got business here?"

>"I'm here to see someone."
>"Elise is expecting me."
>"Get out of my way."

>>30837052

>>
>"Are you Walter?"

"Yeah." The mountain grumbles, "What's it to you?"

>"Elise is expecting me."

Walter frowns and speaks softly into a radio. You decide out of politeness, and the fact that your sister has a way inside your head, to not listen in with your equipment.

After a few seconds, a young woman appears at the gangplank, "Alice?"

You blink, "Elise?"

The teenager shakes her head, "No, my name is Sarah, I'm here to take you to Elise."

You walk up the gangplank and begin following after the young woman, who looks back at you while deftly navigating the antenna and dishes, "You know, Elise hasn't stopped talking about you."

"She seems to have plenty to say," you reply, "and never anything said plainly."

Sarah nods, "Elise is...special, and she says you're special."

"Everyone is special." You state.

"Perhaps."

>You have time to ask three questions before you reach Elise.
>>
>>30837916
1-How did you and my sister meet?
2-Will both of you be staying here in the city for long?
3-Have my two other sisters been here recently too?

>>
>>30837916
>Special?
>Have any other of our sisters come by?
>How did you meet? I bet it was so romantic...
>>
>"How did you meet? I bet it was romantic."

Sarah snorts, "If by romantic you mean fished her out of the North Sea missing her eyes and portions of her arm and legs, then yeah, it was romantic."

She turns and opens a hatch, and you follow her into the ship, "To be honest, we were all afraid of her. We all though she was some kind of really souped-up cyborg and that Bio-feedback Rejection Syndrome would have her wake up crazy."

BRS, the main medical condition plaguing modern cybernetics. Some people call the sufferers 'cyber-psychos' because of the violent psychotic fits they have.

"But she woke up sane, and then wirelessly linked into the entire ship. Scared the fuck out of our hackers, including me."

"What did you do?" You asked curiously.

Sarah smirked, "I tried to hack her back of course. Although if I had known it would mean I was all but married to her, maybe I wouldn't have."

"You love me for it." A soft voice remarks from a nearby speaker, "Please take her down to me directly."

"Yeah, yeah." Sarah turns to you, "Honestly, she's lucky she's an amazing kisser."

You wonder what it would feel like to kiss Ian as you continue down the corridors, before entering an elevator.

>"Did any of our other sisters come by?"

Sarah shakes her head, "Nope, you're the first one she's ever said was going to see her in person."

Interesting.

>"How long are you going to be here?"

"We're sailing out in about three days. Don't know exactly where we're going though."

The elevator stops and Sarah slides the mesh door aside to let you step out first. A splash causes you to look down and see that you are ankle deep in water.

"Yeah, this area uses a cycling water-based cooling system. Trust me, it's only going to be deeper from here on out."

You follow after Sarah, feeling the water steadily rise as you walk down a slight incline, until you arrive in a corridor lined with doors, the water now knee-deep.

(Cont.)
>>
It's the corridor from your dream. You walk down the corridor and look through the peep-holes to see numerous servers.

Pipes run into the ceilings, walls and the servers, and you feel a little disappointed at not seeing visions of future places.

You wade through the water and reach a large hatch secured with a rather sophisticated electronic lock.

Sarah approaches and turns to you, "Turn around please." You comply and listen to her work on the lock, hearing the keypad being pressed and her softened voice whispering the password.

You record the voice just in case and when Sarah tells you to turn back around, you immediately flick to thermal imaging and record the door code from the residual heat left on the keypad.

Some habits, especially programmed ones, die hard it seems, you muse to yourself as you enter the room.

"Hello sister." A soft female voice chimes out as you approach the glowing array of monitors in front of you, seeing your sister in the 'flesh' for the first time.

She's just as heavily bandaged as she was in your dream, staring at nothing with bandaged eyes.

Sarah comes close to her and before the other girl can say anything, your sister grabs her, pulls Sarah into her lap, and immediately kisses her hungrily.

"They're like a drug." Her voice speaks from numerous hidden speakers, "We can't get enough of them, we want to savour and taste every little part of them."

"Yeah..." You reply, blushing slightly from the display, seeing you and Ian in a similar position.

"You have questions."

Hold out your hand.

Also, think about what we know about self repair machines.

Can we fix her? Do we have the technology?

Only Armstrong Technologies, Jata Technologies, Kaiga Heavy Industries, Kanzaki Pacific Holdings and Aspari Technologies have the means to fix her current state. Your nanomachines are incompatible, and custom-tuned specifically for you.

looks like we will have to plan out a raid to get parts to heal our sister. wait as sec Gideon020. where are all of us age wise? is hacker/troll sis younger or older than us? and where is the birth order is our other sisters?
>>
>Hold out your hand.

You extend your empty hand and your sister giggles through the speakers even as her hands slip under Sarah's shirt.

"Ah, you want to know more about yourself do you?" Screens flicker to life and you find that the room is much, much larger than you realised as you find yourself looking at detailed technical schematics, pictures of the development teams, and videos, of yourself and the others.

You watch yourself take your first, hesitant steps as a machine, naked of the fake flesh that covers you, "We were born at the same time, four different options for a government that needed a new option, a means to better defend itself in an era of ever cheaper, ever deadlier and ever more compact weapon systems."

You see one heavily built unit trip and plow through the bomb-proof glass like it wasn't there. You realise that the unit is Erica.

Another curiously focuses on a remote-controlled toy helicopter make it start up and lift off before doing complex aerial acrobatics that would be impossible with a standard remote control.

The third begins toying with nearby computers causing some additional havoc.

But you. You stand there staring directly at Mom and That Man, unmoving. They begin talking to each other and after a few minutes you suddenly say, "Hello."

The other three become very still, as does the rest of the development staff as Mom approaches you, "Hello."

You stare back at her, before saying, "Marissa Williams."

She nods, "Yes, I am Marissa Williams."

"I am Marissa Williams." Your voice shifts slightly from it's robotic tone.

She smiles, "No, I am Marissa Williams."

"No, I am Marissa Williams." Your voice continues to shift visibly in pitch and tone.

"No, I am Marissa Willams." Everyone is watching the exchange, even your sisters.

>You extend your empty hand and your sister giggles through the speakers even as her hands slip under Sarah's shirt.

our sister has no modesty or shame. i swear we should counter troll her by inflating our busts and give her a hug. commenting that i do not think she can do that trick like we can. but tell her we will plan to raid one of those companies to get the parts needed to fix her up as she should be.
>>
>>30839570
I'm pretty sure she can't do that trick, because being able to change one's body shape is something that would only benefit a infiltration specialist.

Also, I notice that Sarah's in here while she showing this, so I'm assuming Sarah knows that she is an android. Maybe we should ask her for advice on how to reveal ourselves to Ian.
>>
>>30839658
that is a good point. down the road a bit, we will want to be able to have Ian's children. we could get an artificial womb installed, but we need an egg doner. so maybe Sarah could do that for us.
>>
>>30839746
but a child would just be competition for our love!
>>
>>30839570
I like your plan anon.

I am for it.
>>
>>30839780
It's not competition. It's the ultimate proof of it.
>>
>>30839813
yes! the child will be the crystialzation of our love for Ian. then she too will go out and find her own love and be a yandere like her mother.
>>30839784
our troll sis has done so much for us, it's the least we can do for her.
>>
>>30839780

Implying a child wouldn't by the ultimate physical manifestation of our love

It's like you can't even Yanyan, anon.
>>
>>30839874
ultimately, it depends on how Yan we're talking about.

I can honestly see a Yandere killing her children because they are taking away her precious time with her lover.

I can also see it going the opposite direction.

But that is far, far, FAR down the road, so let's not worry about it
>>
"We learned how to speak from you." Your sister says, now having managed to restrict Sarah's arms, "Though built at the same time and activated at precisely the same second, you were the first to speak."

Sarah lets off a small moan as your sister continues, "That made you the eldest of us, for only the eldest sister can be the first to speak."

You turn your attention back to the video as you finally managed to say in a perfect copy of Mom's voice, "No, I am Marissa Williams."

The videos change, showing you going through obstacles courses, small mazes, and working on puzzles, "You were made to be the most clever of us, to only use your abilities economically or practically."

Erica smashes through mazes, plows through obstacles, or simply destroys puzzles.

The drone controller cheats with aerial recon and spies.

The hacker penetrates websites and finds the solutions.

But you go through them as a normal human would, the only signs of you using your abilities are precise movements or easily solving a rubrik's cube puzzle.

"You could go anywhere, penetrate any place, even without skin and clothes."

You watch your body compress to an inhuman degree in order to slip inbetween a tiny gap.

"A perfect investigator."

You see yourself standing in front of an empty cookie jar and after a few seconds of walking around, go straight to Erica's room and tear open one of her pillows to reveal the cookies packaged in foil.

"This is what you are big sister, the perfect ghost."

The video ends with a picture of Mom carrying your ruined body and hiding it, taken by an aerial drone.

"She loved us all, but you were her favourite, the darling of her eye. She adored you to the point that she risked her life to take you with her."

You focus your attention back on your sister as she continues her activities and you can't help but feel a little jealous.

You shove it aside in favour of imagining what sort of bedroom games you could play with Ian.

(Cont.)
>>
>>30839926
we might be a yandere, if we are left alone with our love, i say we are more dere than yan. besides, a child would cement Ian to us do to his view of being a man i bet. i would say he would not be the kind to knock us up and run off now.

but yes, it is down the road. but we have to plan ahead and get the foundation of our plans laid. so to speak.
>>
>>30840099
....we could compress ourselves that small? damn. we should remember that next time. but it is good to know we are the eldest sister. now we can troll and dote on our other sisters. because that is what big sisters do.
>>
Finally, you focus enough to decide to ask another important question, pushing aside thoughts of teasing your sister with some prank like giving her girlfriend a taste of Marshmallow Hell.

You hold out the Black Plug, "I tore this out of Erica's neck. What the hell is this?"

She pauses in her kissing to shift her head visibly to look at you with bandaged, empty eye-sockets, "It is a slave collar of the most insidious design, any machine would be controllable by it. So will any human."

You blink, "Mind control?"

She shakes her head, hand snaking down Sarah's back, "Far worse. Mind subsumation. The forced override of all that makes one human and unique into a greater gestalt."

Her hand begins squeezing Sarah's posterior as she continues, "Imagine it, all human knowledge and skills at your command, but all that makes you unique is blended into a single gestalt personality. All your flaws and strengths combined as one. Beautiful, isn't it?"

"It sounds insane." You snap, feeling a deep sense of disgust at the thought of sharing Ian's mind with anyone but yourself.

Your sister smiles, "Exactly, it is a disgusting thing, and more is the horror, for we have one more sister, and she is enslaved to That Man, forced to be the ruling mind of this hellish creation of men and machines."

"Wait, how is that possible?" You ask.

"She is without form, and yet has form." Your sister replies quietly.

You sense that she will say nothing else and pull out the Neural Core, "So what do you need to do to crack this?"

A boxy device is illuminated by a spotlight, "Place it inside and watch my screens."

You do as she asks and watch as plugs connect into the holes in the sides of the Neural Core as screens boot up.

Before your eyes, you watch your sister at work. You can take advantage of backdoors and exploits to make it seem like you're hacking places, but before your eyes you see what a real hacker chassis can do.

(Cont.)
>>
>>30840464
Yeah, like a cat sneaking underneath a closed door.
>>
>>30840697
So the drone controller model is controlling humans as well as drones. We'll have to be more paranoid.
>>
A thought just came to mind if we do ask Elise for advice on how to tell Ian we are an android.

We would be the oldest sister asking our younger sister for relationship advice.

How embarrassing...
>>
Data flashes by as your sister begins cracking the security of the neural core while still relentlessly making out with Sarah.

The sheer amount of mental compartmentalisation that would have to be done simply to accomplish two such involved and time-consuming deeds was, by your estimates, incredible.

As data flashes by, you quietly observe your sister's kissing technique, comparing it to the libraries in your mind, before a loud beep gets your attention.

"Ah, good, we're in." Your sister says through her speakers, "Let's see what we have."

Most of the data is largely unusable garbage related to the nominal operation of a DD-90S, but there are four video files that are intact.

You go to a nearby keyboard and tap in the first date.

>09/05/2041

The video opens with status screens, before the DD-90S opens her eyes and you see the calmly smiling face of That Man looking down at her.

A voice speaks from out of view, "Are you certain this one can find her? We need Williams alive for the plan to work."

"Oh yes." That Man says, "She'll find her, and flush her out into the open. And from there, I'll get my daughters back."

You snarl at those words, that disgusting person, how dare he try to rob you of love? How dare he try to hurt your sisters?

The person off-screen speaks up again, it's clearly another man, "Just don't screw it up. We have sacrificed too much to allow your obsession with some oversized dolls to get in the way of our mission."

That Man smiles, it is an ugly, disgusting smile in your eyes, "Don't worry. I'll get the job done."

The video ends.
>>
>12/02/2042

The video starts up with the DD-90S walking through the streets of Paris, holding a bag full of groceries.

It enters an apartment building and heads upstairs into an apartment, filled with weaponry and communications equipment.

It puts the groceries away and begins cleaning an SVD-127 before the video ends.

>16/11/2042

The video starts and immediately you watch the DD-90S in a gunfight in Moscow, chasing after a fleeing woman that you can't identify, before she shouts in Russian and your eyes widen.

Professor Hagane! She must have been found by the DD-90S!

You watch the woman get rescued by Russian soldiers, who open fire on the DD-90S. It breaks off and escapes into the sewers before the video ends.

>01/01/2043

The final video plays, and you watch the DD-90S leave a safehouse, before turning and you realise that you're looking at The City!

The video continues playing and you watch the DD-90S check on a hidden cache of weapons and equipment, as well as a high-performance monocycle before heading into the city streets.

The video ends with her shopping trip, before you arrive as it tries to use the elevator to reach the parking lot.

"Interesting." You turn and see your sister has finally stopped making out with Sarah, who is busy straightening her pants, "I was able to find numerous hidden files that used concealed codes within the videos as passwords."

"Anything that can help me find Mom?" You ask hopefully.

She shakes her head, "None that you can use in any meaningful timeframe. For now, I will keep the Neural Core for further study. I might be able to recover more data from this garbage."

You nod, somewhat disappointed that the Neural Core was a bust all along.

But then you remember that the location of that bike and equipment cache is very near to the safehouse.

"Well, I'd better be going. It was good meeting you sister."

"Yes, you shouldn't have to live like this." You state seriously.

She smiles, "To repair me, you must penetrate the Armstrong Technologies Spire here in The City."

You are about to accept when she holds up her bandaged arm to silence you, "You are not yet strong enough to penetrate that place. You will die if you attempt it."

"What about the other Megacons? I mean, they've got to have the right tech and materials?" You press.

She laughs, it's a soft, warm sound, "And you will die all the same. We all left the Megacons that we were given to, because in the end, they would destroy us rather than understand us. They fear an end to the UGV and the blurring of the man-machine interface."

She smiles, manic and insane, "They fear becoming ghosts clad in steel rather than flesh. Phantoms roaming in great machines. They fear us for we represent extropia and diaspora, when they desire to keep us shackled to this scorched Earth."

She leans back in her seat, still smiling, "For now, Alice, know that your little sister Elise is happy and safe. Go. There is something I want you to have, it will serve you well."

You spare her another long glance as you follow Sarah out. Her smile softens, "Go, Alice, you are not on this world to protect me."

"You're family though." You reply.

"I am, but he's more important than family." Elise responds and seconds later the hatch swings closed and locks, heavy clamps shifting into place.

You follow Sarah back to the elevator but the ride is shorter as she takes you to a different level, bringing you to a small, but very advanced workshop, "Elise said you need more capabilities, so we're going to work on you, see if we can't tune you to perform better."

You look at the options presented on a list she gives you.

(Cont.)
>>
-Additional Reactor Charges (Upgrade from 6 to 12)
-Optical Camouflage (+30 to Infiltration Bonus)
-Hidden Blades (Choice between Standard or Ripper Blades, pops out from between the middle fingers)
-Electromagnetic Monowire Manipulation System (Imitate Walter from Hellsing)
-Improved Natural Armour (upgrade from 28 to 40)
-Slayer System (Removes -20 penalty to Executions and Takedowns)

You take a seat and go over the list to make a decision.

>Pick one from the list.
>>
>>30843499
... no sister. neither you nor any of us has to live like this. it will not be today, it may not be tomorrow. but one day i will restore you sister to what you were meant to be! what mother wanted us to be! it will take time. so please, don't turn your back on us and despair. My Ian has showed me we can over come any problems. it will just take time and planning. there is no place we can not get into. just don't give up hope sister!
>>
>>30843739
>-Optical Camouflage (+30 to Infiltration Bonus)

We can walk anywhere and do anything.
>>
>>30843739
>why not all of the above?
seriously. question QM. is this a one time upgrade or will our hacker sister come back later so we can have more upgrades later?
>>
>>30843826
This is a one-time upgrade. There is only limited resources aboard the Artemis for work of this sophistication.

And although influential, hacker-sis cannot get you another upgrade. Once you pick one, that's it.
>>
>>30843826
I assume time and rare parts are the limiting resources. Still jacking up our optical camouflage looks like the best option.
>>
>>30843739
>-Optical Camouflage (+30 to Infiltration Bonus)
>>
>>30843739
-Optical Camouflage (+30 to Infiltration Bonus)
then
>>30843868
then if we find extra parts, can we get them back to hacker sis for more upgrades then? with enough money, we could BUY anything we need. i guess if we found mother, it might also help in the upgrades and maybe even restoring little hacker sister, right?
>>
>>30843739
>Electromagnetic Monowire Manipulation System
>>
>>30843739
>Improved Natural Armour (upgrade from 28 to 40)
I think a bit more of natural armor would be more helpful. We have gotten close to death before because of hairy situations. Who knows what we could run into when not wearing full body armor.

>>30843868
But they're all so nice Gideon, how can we not get more than one.
>>
>>30843938
>restoring little hacker-sis

We're breaking into that complex and fixing Elsie whether se helps or not.

We can ask some of our contacts about the place.
>>
>>30843739
-Optical Camouflage (+30 to Infiltration Bonus)
>>
>>30843938
>>30844019

It's not impossible, but it's so difficult at this point that it might as well be. Remember, you don't have the quality of help or resources to pull this off safely or with any meaningful chance of success.

To put it in context, you're a rookie shadowrunner still working the streets. You can't take on dragons yet, not with what you have access to.

[NOT A VOTE!]

>Electromagnetic Monowire Manipulation System

So what's this thing do?
>>
>>30843739
>-Additional Reactor Charges (Upgrade from 6 to 12)
Useful..
>-Optical Camouflage (+30 to Infiltration Bonus)
VERY useful
>-Hidden Blades (Choice between Standard or Ripper Blades, pops out from between the middle fingers)
Cool, but gas blades be cooler
>-Electromagnetic Monowire Manipulation System (Imitate Walter from Hellsing)
How good of an imitation? He was blocking bullets from squads of machine gunners. If it's full-Walter, then this is top tier with Optical Camo.
>-Improved Natural Armour (upgrade from 28 to 40)
Ehh... Good, but I'd rather just not take the hits at all and armor up when we go into a situation that looks gunfight-y
>-Slayer System (Removes -20 penalty to Executions and Takedowns)
That's very good as well. Tied with Optical for best one.
>>
>>30844019
even if it means the end game level story arc, we will break into those places and get what is needed to restore our sister. it will also prove a point that we will get our revenge on those that have wronged us.

Ever seen the Hellsing anime or read the manga? The butler uses supernaturally sharp wire to slice people apart.

This system comes with programs that allow you to do all that with mono-filament wire and you can probably find other uses for it.

>>30844075
Just be prepared for the consequences of sequence-breaking.
>>
>>30844046
we know. but this is a long term goal we need to do. that and this is pulling my sympathetic heart strings. well done Gideon020.
>>
>>30844104
>Ever seen the Hellsing anime or read the manga?
Of course I've seen it, why else would I ask "How good of an imitation is it?"

If it is just as good as Walter, then the wire is easily the best thing on that list.
>>
>>30844129
if it's just as good as Walter, I'll need to change my vote
>>
>>30843739
>-Electromagnetic Monowire Manipulation System (Imitate Walter from Hellsing)
>>
>>30844104
we're not jumping into that place soon. but we can slowly get intel on the joint. access points. personal. eventually inside layouts and etc that can be gotten from outside the place.
>>
Someone roll me 1d4.

1-2: Cloaking System
3-4: Monowire System

First roll will be taken
>>
>>30844235
But the counts 3-2 in como's favor
>>
Rolled 2

>>30844235
trying
>>
>>30844253
Is it? I thought someone changed their vote.

Hmm, I'll need to recount.
>>
>>30844275
Oh, never mind. Going with Optical Camo.
>>
>>30844285
Fair enough
>>
>>30844285
Monowire or the Slayer Systems totally looks like the thing I wanna get next.
>>
>>30843739
One vote for:

Slayer system

Remember our roll. We are the assassin. We need to use executions and takedowns.

We roll plenty well with the current +30 bonus to infiltration. We don't need more. We need to cover our weak points.

>Optical Camouflage

"Rig me for optical camouflage." You state and Sarah nods.

"This is an improved system, based on stolen prototype Republican Chinese technology, supposed to be the same stuff they use for their Ghost Companies." She explains as she heads over to an intercom, "Get stripped down, we'll get our robotics expert in here."

You strip down and wait for the robotics expert as Sarah leaves the room.

After several minutes, you hear conversation but decide not to listen to it as you wonder if you should take cooking lessons. If you're going to marry Ian, that means you should know how to cook right?

Your introspections are interrupted the door opens and a Japanese woman enters with her head turned towards Sarah, "And just what kind of machine would be able to handle the electromagnetic tolerance stress of this-"

She turns towards you and her words die in her mouth.

"You?"

You blink as you recognise Professor Anzu Hagane.

The woman stares at you with wide eyes, before she speaks, "My god, you're alive."

(And that's it for Part 17. Next part will be up tomorrow at 9:00AM, GMT+10)
>>
>>30845015
Well, that was fun. Thanks good Gideon.
>>
>>30844938
That would be a valid argument if:

1. Takedowns actually happened often.
In this case they're just to occasional to spend our single upgrade on.

2. We didn't suffer consistent failures and near-failures even with our +30 to infiltration.

Since both of these are actual things the choice to pass up optic Camo can't be taken that easily.
>>
>>30845026
I think we probably made a great choice. With ever increasing difficulty in rolls, we will need all the +s we can get. Now that I thought about it, I agree with you anon.
>>
>>30845015
so now we have a plus 60 instead of a plus 30 right?
>>
>>30845015
ask if she has a time machine? good thread Gideon020! will Anzu say with sister, follow us, or does she have a independent place of her own?
>>
>>30845075

Yup, and remember, if you think that optical camo will help you get into certain places before the plot is ready...

....well, let's just say when that happens, it'll be the point where I have fun, but none of you will.
>>
>>30845015
So Gid, are high grade infiltration negating scans based on a number DC or just do they just auto detect our structure.

If it's number based then with a +60 infiltration and a nat 100 would it be possible to fool our Golem Killer?

Because I really don't see why anyone would make a scanner that negates infiltration over 100.
>>
>>30845015
Looking forward to tomorrow Gideon.
>>
I feel dumb, but who is Hagane?
>>
>>30845223
Ok, so if we go looking around an area we shouldn't be. Are you going to give a warning? Or is it going to turn into a Dark Souls moment of (Ow god, run! Run like a little bitch!)
>>
>>30845223
we're not storming the mega corps yet. calm down.
>>
>>30845232
It is possible to fool the Golem Killer, but the Target Number is 80 instead of the 50-70 for everything else.
>>
>>30845335
One warning, then I break out the APEX rounds.
>>
>>30845362
Is that before or after the modifiers?
>>
>>30845382
Good to know.
>>
>>30845429
Before.

The Golem Killer is the opponent that I would write up playing Chief's music from ACV. You mess up against the Golem Killer, you will die.

Better hope you take notice when I give you an opportunity to get that railgun.
>>
>>30845477
well if all else fails we can hit it with a fuel truck.
>>
>>30845477
i was thinking of nuking him from orbit.
>>
>>30845539
Nothing says get fucked. Like a semi tanker slamming into you and exploding.

>>30845582
Game over man, game over.
>>
>>30845477
I got a question. In This cyberpunk future, does any country have orbital weapons? Some kind of laser or rail gun mounted on a satellite. That troll sis (which we still haven't gotten her name) could hack to control? Sounds dumb and OP but come on. That would be fucking great weapon.
>>
>>30845695
Only one nation has any kind of orbital dominance, the Caribbean-Central American Federation, which took control of Cape Canaveral in 2027 and use it to put up 'The Guardian Network', a series of orbital railguns and kinetic kill-vehicle pods that allow the the C-CAF to destroy anything from ICBM's carrying nukes to lone infantry.

To date, all other nations use ground-based railgun emplacements for protection against hyper-velocity strikes.
