Morning to everyone! hoping you guys will show soon so we can get started. Just going to loot a neighbor's castle in the meanwhile, brb
>>
hello
>>
>>30775425
'Morning.
>>
Hi
>>
Hi guys. Lets wait for Rohan?
>>
>>30775934
We could. That assumes he's available to participate today...which could go either way, but we could give him some more time.
>>
>>30775934
So, the plan is to pick up with work on Tuesday or is there more of the sleepover left to navigate?
>>
>>30776002
Well, let's get started. We were going to Lyann's theater to watch Casablance with her and Mako. You guys want to skip forward a bit to the next business day, or want to try and advance your relationship with either of them somehow? Ideas on the matter are welcome
>>
>>30776166
We could always sit in the middle of the couch and see what shenanigans arise.
>>
>>30776166
Well, I'd like to give advancing the relationship a shot though I need a little more information t work off for Lyann. Mako is easy, introduce her to popcorn and feed her some by hand. Lyann probably needs a different approach, not sure where the opening is yet.

One thing we should try to do is see whether they'd be willing to accompany each other for their playboy interviews. Lyann can help diffuse any cultural misunderstandings and Mako can offer her friend support in a situation we know she's not entirely comfortable with.
>>
>>30776257
I thought that seating was a given...
>>
>>30776257
Its an actual theater, what couch?
Also im getting so pissed at whoever progreammed the fucking AI on The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. The guys that should (literally, they have the specific charge skill) charge into melee run away and the supports charge in ffs
*****

Mako: "..b-but we need to be nude?" -blushing so red she may as well be an apple

Ned: "Not necessarily. It depends on the picture's style. For example, how about being nude behind Lyann, or just wearing a small dress but hidden behind a large toy bear so only your shoulders, arms and legs show around it? It's about the viewer's point of view, more than anything else."

Mako: "I'd like a bear so big I could hug it like that."

Lyann: "I'm sure they would be happy to let you take it home if you ask them. And Ned, how about having a "making of" series of photos taken as well? I liked your idea with the bear. Our next album freebie could be signed pictures of the photoshoot, taken from another point of view. Most of the girls wouldnt have a problem, and it can include one of Mako hugging the bear, from behind, so it shows she is actually dressed through the whole thing."

Ned: "I'll see if I can arrange that."

Lyann: "Ah, the movie is starting, be quiet now."

Mako: "We eat these without spoons or sticks?"

Ned: "Here, let me show you. Say aaah"

Mako: "Aaah" -she gasps a little as you feed her, but loves the way it tastes.- "Me now, say Aaah"

Ned: "You don't really need to-"

Mako: "Aaah..."

Ned: "Aaah." -of course, she is used to feeding her siblings.
>>
>>30776426
Lyann: "Me too..." -she has Mako feed her some popcorn, stretching a little over Ned

Mako: "But you have your own pack."

Lyann: "This way is definitively more fun."
****
your cue, ideas?
>>
>>30776426
As an aside, I'm thinking we should use adjacent reclining chairs whose arms can be retracted to form longer couch sections for our office theater's seating. That way couples can snuggle up and individuals can recline in luxury.
>>
>>30776529
Watch the movie, slowly feed both of them a bit more suggestively - a finger brushing Lyann's lips for a moment, a slight caress on Mako's cheek - but keep it mostly chaste. Be prepared for Mako to get emotional when the sad parts of the movie roll through, and get excited for the funny parts. Enjoy the experience and if there's an appropriate opportunity see if we can manage to hold hands with both Mako and Lyann by the end of the movie.
>>
>>30776552
The arms are pretty much standard that way now, arent they? and Im thinking that if they are fitting snuggly into the seats, when we recline the seats, they can make a huge bed if they fit exactly with one another. Could eliminate the need for a bedroom since we just want one to stay on the office late. Press a button and the seats make a large bed that just needs some sheets.
>>
>>30776659
Hmm, depending on how well engineered they are that could work pretty well. Ought to be about Queen size width from head to extending foot I think, so definitely usable. I'd suggest we use that as a communal guest room for office slumber parties rather than the main living-space though. I still want both Ned and Aritsu to have their own little (or not so little) suites to crash in for when they have late nights at the office and want the comforts of home.
>>
>>30776740
>depending on how well engineered they are

Eh, Im sure you could buy some that merge seamlessly into a bed.

Also, if they have a fridge, bed and a bathroom, what else do they need?

*********
The movie goes by quite nicely. Mako enjoyed it greatly, and by the end of the movie, she seems used to holding your hand naturally, albet with some shyness still. Lyann enjoyed the movie by itself. She squeezed your hand when you held hers, mostly enjoying the warmth.

Lyann: "Alright, I have several guest rooms, but do you feel like sharing a bed, Mako?"

Mako: "Ah... I've missed that."

Lyann: "Alright. Ned, will you stay the night or go back home? it's a bit late."
>>
>>30776957
Agree that its getting late and stay the night. I assume we have a spare suit stashed at the office? Otherwise we're going to have to stop by our apartment on the way to work.
>>
>>30776957
I'll stay the night.
>>
>>30776957
It occurs to me that Lyann has a pool. Does she also have a hot tub? Not necessarily for tonight mind you, I'm not convinced that Mako's quite ready for that, but would be useful to know.
>>
>>30776957
is that even a real question?
>>
>>30777036
>>30777040

Ned: "Sure, I'll take a guest room, thankyou."

Lyann: "You sure you don't want to share a bed with us?"

Mako: "Eeep!"

Lyann: "I'm joking, it's just so cute when you blush." -huggles her softly

Lyann has the clones stand by through the night so theres always at least one in turn if you need anything. Amongst almost 200 clones, spreading 9 hours is nothing. In the end they just decide to have four of them have a turn at it so they can enjoy reading a book or working on their personal projects while waiting outside your door.

Ned: "That's not really necessary, but I see you are having only one of your clones interacting with people at the same time, now. It was a bit disconcerting when a lot of them are on top of you."

Lyann: "It is? that's not why I had them take shifts, it was just so they could do other things, but... I'll keep that in mind."

*******
>>30777212
Eh, it's Lyann Tech®, I'm sure the pool can be warmed up if need be, double up as a jacuzzi or such just by draining it a little (or raising the floor. It saves water!)
*******

During the night, you cross paths with Mako as she too goes to get a glass of water from the fridge. You both discover that Lyann has a massive fridge full of strawberries, and another for everything else.

Ned: "Why don't you try some milk instead of water? and if Lyann is awake, I suspect she would like some berries."

Mako nods nods, and walks back to the bedroom. You are wearing another of your workout suits as pajamas, and Mako was wearing a long soft robe all the way to her ankles.

The following morning, you find that they are already awake (the clone at your door informs you) and practicing some song ideas on the sixth floor studio.

Lyann(?): "Let me synch up please." -she allows Lyann to talk with you remotely through her

Lyann: "Good morning, Ned. We will go to work in a couple of hours, alright? we are trying so-- Mako, hold on!... she went to say good day to you. I guess you better wait"
>>
>>30777412

Soon, the elevator opens up to let Mako greet you with a warm Good Morning before you go to work.

Mako: "Can... can we hold hands again, during movie time, m-maybe?" -she asks softly as the elevator doors are closing, almost as if she didint quite want you to hear her.

Ned stops the doors, and Mako eeps as they open.

*****
1) "I would like that" -then let the doors close
2) Walk over, give her a kiss on the forehead and say you would like that, then go down
3) Walk over, kiss her, say you'd like that, and go down
>>
>>30777447
2, but substitute a gentle hug for the kiss.
>>
>>30777532
sounds good to me
>>
>>30777532
>>30777545

I keep forgetting how big a thing you USians make out of any kiss.
*****

Mako is still red when the elevator doors close. After stopping by home to have another (quick) shower and change into a fresh suit, your morning at the office begins as usual, with Aritsu greeting you in the lobby and beginning to update you on things.

Aritsu: "I am not sure who's idea it was, and who is stealing it from whom, but Marvel and DC both called about wanting to start several comic lines featuring your fighters as protagonists. Since the Novas came forth, licensed stories is almost the only thing that sells, for them."
>>
>>30777649
Start the bidding war.
>>
>>30777649
Look at their offers, then make a deal with Image Comics. We will get better terms with reguardless to pay and artistic license, we will keep any IP we work with them on creator (us) owned /and/ we won't have to sell our soul in the process.

That's my vote anyway.
>>
>>30777714
I wonder if Dynamite would be interested, They have some of my favorite AND most hated artists working for them, sometimes taking turns on titles.

I loved Warlord of Mars and Dejah Thoris when they came out, then fucking hated them and dropped them when they changed artist. Recently they "sort of" fixed it but basically they self destructed... ah, how about having a writer make the scripts, then we and probably the guys (if they care) approve them, then we have Lyanns do the drawing and inking following a human-made script and composition?

Then we have human quality writing and scene composition, with elder god-tier illustrations.
>>
>>30777698
>>30777714
>>30777786

You know, I think that Image and Dynamite are the most likely to have survived the nova age, actually, because they have plenty of titles that arent superhero based, and/or have better writing.

So who do you want to work with? and how?
>>
>>30777786
Dynamite is a solid option, but I admit I mostly know them for The Boys. If you haven't been reading it Valiant resurrected their old universe recently their line have been kicking ass. Not sure if they'll be able to keep it together, but if they we're willing to staff up and build a second universe around our fighters, other XWF protags and antags, Flux and anything else we can come up with - and we can force the to retain a top notch [emphasis]editorial[/emphasis] staff they'd probably also make a good candidate if only for the cross marketing potential.

I liked Dejah Thoris when the art was good, same for Warlord of Mars (I even storytimed them both here on /tg/), but then they got a crap artist and it went downhill... I really dont get it, the world is chock-full of kids that love drawing, are good at it, and would give their legs for a chance at working as comic artists.

Ned: "Send both companies a fruit basket as thanks for their interest, but I think I will look for other publishers to work with. It is a good idea, after all."

Aritsu: "Yes sir"

Ned: "Anything else?"

Aritsu: "It's been a slow day, but it is just 8:10. I am sure it will pick up."

By the time you get to your (old) office, Aritsu is talking on her datapad as she walks with you.

Aritsu: "Sir? The Krew says they are done with your new office. Should I ask them to help us move things over?"
>>
>>30777861
Well, in my mind the goal is to build an interconnected universe in which our various properties - individual character or team lines - can function well as standalone titles, but also intercept in the occasional crossover (character A shows up in character B's book) and miniseries type mega events (for example a six issue limited event run in which 2 or 3 of our main title characters and 3 or 4 of those less followed unite to defeat global threat whatever!). Have a good mix of reality, show the reader what it's like prepping for an XWF match or a Flux show, hit on some of the theme's of environmentalism, charity and service as appropriate for the character (or euphoric excess in Euphry's case) and demonstrate these are real people too. Then throw them into situations they can only face because they're Novas.

Get good writers and artists (some top tier, some breaking, some unknown but with enough talent and experience to break into that next level if someone gave them a little support and a push) and lock down the best editors in the business.

That's what I have to start with.

And do a "Lil' Lyanns" book where every Lyann is drawn in chini form.
>>
>>30777993
Sure
>>
>>30777993
Absolutely. When else are we going to have a slow day?
>>
>>30778026

Uhmm.. with that level of control, maybe the XWF should get its own publisher house instead of relying on a pre stablished one. Want to do that instead? I imagine it would be mostly like the game design, and not take too much of our time on-thread
>>
>>30778089
If we can do it in such a way that our imprint is run by comic people, not business people, not entertainment people, not people that don't understand story structure or the necessity for coherent continuity between issues (or within, you know of the boneheaded ness of which I speak). Then I'd say yes, let's do that. Maybe start with a couple special oneshot issues! Follow that up with a Brass limited run, then a Python book. If those take off then we put the gears in motion to start churning out high quality unlimited runs and start expanding the number of titles we offer.
>>
>>30778089
You know, whenever we have a team Up we can have them use Mako's power to literally sing into existence some of the classic superheros.
>>
>>30778331
That sounds like fun. We'd need to get licensing rights thou'
>>
>>30778426
Aritsu: "I will begin looking for talent, sir"

Ned: "Thanks. And how about we get started moving right now?"

It takes just under an hour to move everything, but it takes the whole morning to place things where you want them to go, order everything, place things back into place, etc.

Aritsu: "Maybe we could make a waiting room by surrounding it with book shelves?"

Ned: "I don't really see what for. We do almost everything over the holo nowadays. When was the last time anyone actually came over to do business?"

Aritsu: "We went to mister Flair's office the other day."

Ned: "That is different."

Aritsu: "You already are in charge of a stable of fighters, a music band, and now a comic house, I do believe it is very likely that we will have people coming in person in the future, sir."
>>
>>30778533
"Point"
>>
>>30778567
Agreed.
>>
>>30778567

Aritsu has a small holo placed in your new "waiting room" and secures some rather comfortable chairs from supplies. The new office is large enough for there to be a echo whenever she walks around on her heels.

Aritsu: "It is almost 2 now. We still need to fill the fridge and the kitchen, so should we have lunch on the dining hall a last time?"

You walk down together, and find that are almost alone at this time of day. Most people have their lunch break around 12, and only a few odd people make the huge hall feel empty right now.

Aritsu: "So, how did your movie night go, sir?"

Ned: "Did I mention it yesterday?"

Aritsu: "Miss Tsun did call to ask if you would pick them up, remember?"

Ned: "Oh, right. It was nice."

Aritsu doesn't pry any more, and after lunch, you make your way back to your office.

Ned: "Would it be too imposing of me to expect you to prepare lunch for us from now on?"

Aritsu: "I could prepare some sandwiches easy enough, but I dont think I would have time to prepare an actual lunch during work hours. Neither would you. And having a private chef for just two people's meal once a day would be much too excessive. And boring for the poor cook."

Ned: "I guess we'll have plenty of sandwiches, then."

Aritsu: "Yes sir"
>>
>>30778690
Or we could take on an intern and just have them haul lunch up from the mess for us once they've eaten if they prefer to hang with friends, or they could join us and listen to an old executive (well, older then them probably) give them pointers and advice. Ah who am I kidding, I just want to eat Aritsu's sandwiches.

We are investing in a comercial grade panini press though.
>>
>>30778813

The evening is -relatively- uneventful. You have enough time to try the game's beta for a little bit more, before Aritsu tells you that Stella wants to speak with you.

Aritsu: "She is coming up already."

A few minutes later, the caramel-skinned young "goddes" is admiring your new office. She brought you a canary as a gift for a corner of your office.

Stella: "Ned, I wanted to know if I could do some work on the side. Something public. I'd like to be "out there" to gather attention for the jungle."

Ned: "You already got an appointment at Playboy, I think that is as "out there" as it gets."

Stella: "I was thinking in commercials, or modeling."

The beautiful indian girl is dressed with strong black boots that mesh seamlessly with matching pants, and a light, long and soft-looking shirt over a small t-shirt, with her long hair braided behind her.
>>
>>30778992
"Hmm, well I certainly have enough contacts with both the fashion industry and various industrial entities that it wouldn't be difficult to set something up if you weren't a member of the hottest music group to hit the world stage in a generation, so the question is just what are you comfortable and interested in doing? I would guess that you'd prefer to do the majority of photoshoots and marketing campaigns in the jungle so you can highly it's beauty as a thing that must be protected and preserved? Or are you feeling something more traditional or just a completely different direction?"
>>
>>30778992
Ned: "Why now?"

Stella: "I am happy to do music, but I just need to do more."

Ned: "It's a long term plan to draw attention to your cause. That means it will take more than just 2 months."

Stella: "I know, but having smaller things happening isint going to hurt it"

I'm going to have to head out fairly soon, so I'm just going to bullet point some ideas.

Swimsuits
-swimming and surfboard in with dolphins
-playing beach ball with seals
-stretched out on a surf board with a couple sea otters resting on her back

Workout gear
-running through the jungle
-racing a cheetah

Formal fashion
-she's walking the runway

We should probably encourage her to start her own clothing line, she clearly has the talent, the taste and the skill to make it work.
>>
>>30779239
See if she'd be interested in crashing on Aura's show and maybe modeling some of her fashion line on the runway and in magazines. If it goes well we could see if Aura'd be interested n collaborating with her to design a special collection.

And my 3:30 just cancelled, so I guess you're stuck with me.
>>
>>30779386
I would suggest moving her in with Aura, even. She's only a nudist at home because she's competing with Bella (for some reason).

The modeling ideas are good. I wonder what fashion for super flexible/beautiful/resiliant people would be like in 40 years or so.

Would the current trends on showing more and more skin continue, or since fashion is cyclical, would it go back to being looooong skirts and such?

Just a few years ago, it was fashionable for women to show their bra in their daily clothing. Would something like showing the panties ever come into fashion? (if it does, it's probably Aura's fault)

Hmm, also ask her if she'd be interested in doing things on the other side of the camera. At some point I want her involved in a massive, global documentary project highlighting sustainable living and coexistence with natural ecosystems. Heck, if the BBC wasn't doing such a good job with their current environmental documentaries, I'd suggest that - and if they're still doing them I'd put her name in to narrate the next one.

Anyway, sustainable living. Old, practical solutions and new, cutting edge tech that replaces the need for strip mining, slash and burn agriculture, aquifer contamination from mineral and gas extraction... High production budget, good educational value and compelling cinematography/narration/style.
>>
>>30779623
I can just se her hanging on whatshisname's arm and snuggling up a bit while he just kind of rolls his eyes, then softly smiles a bit and affectionately ruffles her hair. They make the cutest couple.
>>
>>30779505
Hmm, I wouldn't go so far as moving her in - yet. I kind of like her and Belle living together since their personalities sort of balance each other.
>>
>>30779747
Plus moving her in is just asking Euphry to crash the show and take over for a week. Which would be awesome but would probably get the show take off air and cost us a good chunk of the initial fan base.
>>
>>30779788
Me. I was doing so well today too...
>>
>>30778992
wait, which game's be rtf a?
>>
fuck my life, captcha changed just as i was erasing something again and i lost my post, so going upwards this time
>>30780122
What?

>>30779788
Yeah, Euphry is fun but she would trash Aura's show. Aura's is fun and all, but it's still actually rather cute thanks to her interactions with Okaba.

>>30779648
That sounds great. And speaking of tv, I bet Mako would be great in her own educational show for children. She could even star with Lyann and use her enhancements to nullify Lyann's social taint. You have cute and educational, way better than the crap aimed at childrens nowadays.

I miss Sesame Street, whatever happened to that?
>>
>>30780276
Oh, now that I think of the Aura/Okaba couple, her theme was a demon/succubi-like thing while his was an angel, right? how about giving her a tail. You know, ending with a heart shape.

Was looking at the body modification "power" in the splashbooks, and it would give her a bonus to balance. She would get +2 extra successes on keeping her balance (like when someone tries to knock her off) and would instantly roll balance again if she DOES get knocked down to try to instantly regain her footing. She does have the horns already (in case anyone forgot)
>>
>>30779623
Needs a Mohawk like the one we decided was Lyann's, and would make such an awesome Euphry.
>>
>>30780326
I'm on board with giving her a tail if she can chose to hide/retract it at will. We want her to have the option to model clothing not specifically designed to accommodate her and, honestly, I think it's always better to have alternative looks, you know?
>>
>>30780276
Hmm, I wonder if Aritsu's sister could handle being on a Mako/Lyann children's show. I think Ari would like her sister having the opportunity, but we'd have to make sure she was protected from the media...still, definitely a on versatile to hae with our secretary in conjunction with the doctor if that plan ever gets off the ground.

Also, I have to head out for 20-30 minutes, hopefully this is still going strong when I return but if not thanks for running King. You are awesome.
>>
>>30780408
Well, she doesnt has a "baseline" form, but she does have the "minor shapeshifting" enhancements so I guess that would work fine.

By the way, she currently has
Horns +3 extra damage to headbutts and they daze with a +2 Difficulty penalty

Super Strong Bones: She gets +6 soak vs attacks that have the potential to crush/break bones. Not quite wolverine's adamantium bones, but pretty much steel-like endurance there. Could take it a few more times to really have wolverine's skeleton, tho.

Hollow Bones: I think of this as her bone cells just being arranged in a much more efficient way. Which explains the previous body mod. Also, so Okaba can carry her when he flies.

Anyway, someone roll 17d10 to try and get Stella hooked with the BBC for documentals. Shouldnt be too hard since she is somewhat known for her work for the jungle and the environment already
>>
Rolled 3, 6, 4, 4, 7, 8, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 5, 9, 9, 6, 9, 5 = 107

>>30780633
>>
>>30781248
Nice.
>>
>>30781248
That's more than enough successes to get her own series rather than just narrating one. Plus it helps that she is smart, attractive, young, ell known for her work for environmental preservation, can talk to animals, automatically passes of as "neutral" to them (neither prey nor predator: One of Us. She could fish for salmon with the kodiaks), and has the enhancements to ignore pretty much any natural environment, etc.

Ned: "Alright, what do you think? leading your own series of documentals for the BBC means working with specialists. We "could" try to arrange something within the studio, but the experience is something you cant buy, and if you are going to be running with lions, I would think it better if the crew is prepared for it."

Stella: "that's not a bad idea at all"

Ned: "The lions? it was just an example..."

Stella: "I have been with tigers but never lions... sounds really fun."

Ned: "Well, I'm sure they have someone that makes those decisions. Still, once your songs for the next album are done, you--"

Stella: "Oh, we are done for the next three albums already. You wanted to release them once a month, but we already have a full six more albums ready... unless anyone comes up with an idea that MUST ABSOLUTELY be included in this next album."

Ned: "...alright, when can you go to england?"

Stella: "Oh, I have a little floor in london. I could go tomorrow if you wanted me to."

Ned: "I think they would like to have somewhat more time to prepare. I'll ask them again and let you know tomorrow evening."

She stretches over the desk and pulls you by the tie, kisses you, then lets you go.

Stella: "Thank you Ned." -she leaves, excited

Aritsu: "Friendly girl, uh boss?"

Ned: "That was all that was, Ritsu."

Aritsu: "I know, but it's fun to tease you, sometimes."
>>
>>30781548
"hush you, or I'll suggest we have Aura redesign your uniform at the next meeting."
>>
>>30781548

>>

*****
Aritsu: "Well, that finishes work for today, unless you have anything else in mind?"

Ned: "No, I think we earned our rest for today. I will just finish looking over some of these new artists online, and maybe make an offer to one."

Aritsu: "In that case I will take the chance to clean the office a little. The bottom floor still has dust and mud from The Krew going all over."

Ned: "why don't you let janitorial staff do that?"

Aritsu: "Reinforced security, remember? poor janitor couldnt come into the office"

Ned: "Will you be alright? it is a bit office, and isin't your sister waiting for you?"

Aritsu: "Sinoe is coming over. I'll introduce her to you if you stay long enough, but that would make you late for your Tai Chi"

"You know what, let me give Mako and Lyann a call to let them know I'm running a little late. And Aritsu, if you guys don't have plans for the night I just want to let you know you're welcome to use the new holo theater or any of the other facilities here."

I think it's a good point to stop for today. I can't decide if Sinoe should be a sweet delicate girl (with how much Aritsu takes care of her) or a spoiled child (because of the same reason). Fashion wise, I am also undecided between very "safe" street wear (her sister takes her shopping, or since they are identical twins, just shops for herself twice), or very daring in a woman-child-rebel kind of way. Tho the last would be funny as/if she comes across Euphry or Aura and finds out what having your OWN fashion sense really means.

Tip: It's not just getting a miniskirt short enough to upset your authority figure, a blouse and heels.

If tai chi goes over, can we watch some Chinese subbed films with them? Ip man? Issue is pure Mako watching a violent film

Hmm, I get the feeling that she'd probably have seen IP Man and Hero before, being from china and all. Also, we might have to have a night where she shows us all her favorite vintage Jackie Chan comedies.

Hero, probably yes. IP Man, I doubt it

Anyway guys, I'll continue the thread today. Any ideas for Sinoe?
>>

Exactly what age rang am I comparing her mind set to?
>>

Probably somewhere on the early teens. Im thinking that either she is a very nice girl, or a spoilt brat. I cant decide

Hmm, I'd go with sweet once you get to know her, but maybe a little bratty and "protective" of her sister (think driving away competition for her attention). As for how she dresses...that really depends on how you build out her personality, I'd lean towards something a little too adventurous just to give Aritsu a reason to gently (or firmly) admonish her, but nothing too outrageous. At least not until she meets Aura. And after Sinoe meets Belle I can imagine Aritsu having trouble keeping clothes on her.

That's where I would start for Sinoe anyway, I have a feeling that you'll probably make her more interesting though.

>12-13 nice girl
>14-15 brat/rebel
