Hello, /tg/. It's not been a good few weeks, but I'm going to try and run anyway. Here's hoping we can get something done, eh?
The twitter:https://twitter.com/DigimonQuest
The archive:http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?tags=Digimon%20Quest
The stat sheets: http://pastebin.com/u/DigimonQuest
The Storybook: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vIIWBQ-sHlw3PZ4D4yH9hiIl8YiqEVpy1ZUztKlSzzs
Dice Rules: I take the best of the first three, and any crits within the first five will play their part, but no longer overwrite a success or failure. Critical twenties can be stored and expended as save points. Luck rolls can be made to increase (or decrease) chances of success (or failure) on another roll, a crucial decision, or to influence travel sequences.

After your revelation in Sally's hold, the two of you sat in silence, no longer watching the crowd below you. While not uncomfortable, the silence is not especially welcome, but neither of you try to break it.

A hint of movement at the edge of your vision prompts you to look down, where you see Daniil andNiklas leaving the tent, their partners beside them. They're talking to one another amiably, with Daniil doing most of the listening, it would seem. Niklas is rather animated, something that gets a chuckle out of you. You might not have met either of these two in the best of circumstances, but they're good people. You're sure of that much.

After a moment, Impmon pulls on his partner's pant leg, and points up, directing Daniil's attention towards you and Sally, who is still relaxing against you, eyes closed. If you didn't know better, you'd think she was asleep. The fact that she's slowly descending to ground level in front of the other Chosen might have something to do with it. Daniil is the first to speak once you're closer to thee level most other beings stand at.

"Having fun with your partner, Wayne?" He's got a knowing look on his face, one that just won't seem to go away.

"Some, yes." You reply, shrugging. You make sure to keep how much it's affected you out of your expression, not wanting Daniil to have any more ammunition than he already has. "We were trying to get a look at the game they're playing over there, but it's not as easy as it looks at first. I don't even know how one would start to get it." The russian boy laughs and nods.

"I came to the same conclusion as you, but only after they wiped the floor with me on it. You're lucky you didn't try to play like I did. Even with experience in cards and dice, I didn't stand a chance." you nod, taking his words to heart. Don't gamble with digimon. Got it.

"So," You say, standing from the broom, which bobs slightly as the loss of your weight. Sally pouts, but relinquishes her hold. "How did your reunions go?" Impmon grins, and thumps a fist to his chest.

"My partner finally got it through his thick head that I deserved a proper name," Daniil at least has the dignity to look embarrassed, while Niklas just grins sheepishly. "From now on, the rest of you shall call me Troian."

The name sounds vaguely familiar, but you can't remember just where you heard it. It's not Greco-Roman, you know that much, despite how much it sounds similar. Niklas, meanwhile, gestures rather proudly to his own partner.

"And this is Tesla." The digimon nods silently as his human gives the introduction for him. He doesn't speak much, you guess.

Well, I suppose that we should get Zoe and have our first group meeting. Topics to discuss are what both groups have learnt thus far, compiling a list of potential objectives, and deciding on our next move...

I'm doing alright. Kind of tired, but that's just physical labor speaking.

Also very sad that Kandachime turned out to be cancelled. I was enjoying Mai Waifu Is A Sword Wat Do.
I also started reading Nisekoi. Seishiro is best girl, and Raku needs to recognize this as soon as possible.
Chitoge is alright, I suppose, and Onodera is sweet, but she can't beat Tsugumi. And Marika is just all sorts of trouble.

>>
"Troian and Tesla?" You look between the two. Impmon looks rather proud of his new name, and...you can't read Kokuwamon. That's not unusual, though. "Good names. It's a pleasure to finally be formally introduced to you two."

You extend your hand, and the little demon eyes it, before grabbing it in his own. The two of you shake, and you repeat the process with Kokuwamon's claw.

"Now, we should probably find Zoe and Aslan. Start discussing what we've found out and all." You suggest, and the two boys nod in agreement.

"There's a lot to tell, I'm sure." The taller boy says. You can't help but agree. So much has happened in the few short days since you arrived. It almost feels like weeks.

You're saved the search for your friends, thankfully, by Aslan's immense size. He still hasn't returned to his previous shape, something Sally tells you is unusual.

"As far as I know," She says, her expression thoughtful, "A digimon should return to a less powerful form after a set amount of time; usually our 'child' forms, or if you want, 'rookies.' That I haven't in all of this excitement is interesting, too." Her expression changes to one much more sly. "Though I doubt you mind." You have to supress another blush as Zoe and Aslan near your group, your friend's bag noticeably bigger. Eager to escape your partner's teasing, you call out to your fellow Chosen.

"Doing some shopping, then?" You indicate her bag, and the girl nods, smiling brightly.

"Yep! There are tons of neat things here. I'll show you some of it later." She next looks to the other members of your party, then back to you. "So, what next?" Niklas waves, while Daniil jerks his head back the way you came, towards the tent.

"We were gonna get together and share what we've learned, try and get some sort of solid knowledge down before we make any more plans." He explains, and Zoe nods, her expression now serious.
>>
>>30742837
"A good idea. There are some things I've been wanting to ask about." With that, you head back to the tent as a group, ignoring the curious eyes of digimon following you all the way there.

Once inside, you sit on the ring of stumps again, with Sally to your right and Zoe to your left, her own left covered by Aslan. Daniil, Niklas, Troian and Tesla sit across from you, leaving a good number of the seats empty. You wonder about that idly, but dismiss it for now.

Taking a deep breath, you and Zoe begin to explain the course of events from your perspectives...leaving out more than a few things, of course. Venus's conversation being one of them. Once you're done, Daniil nods, and he and Niklas begin to tell their story. Some of it, however, catches your attention more than the rest... the fact that Daniil leaves out a portion of the story between the cave and your finding him here being one of them....

>>
Hey, Gale?
A suggestion: when you're writing a multi-parter, you can just post them as they get finished, rather than wait until you have them all done.
That way, there's something for us to discuss while we wait to make a choice.
>>
>>30742865
can we pick multiple options?
>>
>>30742918
>>30742934
>>30742964

"Wait," You say, "Tesla only gave you the key to understanding the digivice after you were trapped?" The two nod. "Then why didn't you give it to Niklas earlier?" The bug digimon somehow manages to look abashed. Somehow.

"It did not seem advisable at the time." He says, then stops, and appears to think on that. "Strange. Once the gate was opened, it no longer sounded like a bad idea." Finally, he shrugs. "I cannot answer that." Niklas looks a bit confused, and Zoe seems deep in thought. Troian and Aslan seem rather indifferent, and Sally's expression is...dubious. Well, you're not going to get much more out of him on this. Moving on...

"What about the bear, then?" You prompt, and Daniil adopts a thoughtful posture.

"It was creepy," He finally says. "Very. But it didn't mean us any harm, from what I could tell and from its actions." He shudders. "That doesn't mean I'd want to see it again, though. Or spend any amount of time in the same room as it." That earns a small laugh or two from the group. But instead of laughing, you're looking to Zoe.

You can see her mind racing at all the new information she's been given, putting things together (hopefully) to make better sense.

"What do you think of this, then?" You ask, and after a moment she shakes her head.

"...I can't say. Even knowing about the price on our heads, and the information about the digivice, that only raises more questions." She looks up to Daniil. "Like, for example, whose tent this is, and who it is who picked you up. The digimon we met mentioned you. I'd like to know more about that."

The others nod in agreement, and Daniil just sighs.

"I was hoping to keep that a secret, actually." He says, smirking wryly. "But to put things simply, the ones who...run this gathering were the ones who found me. This is their tent." He looks up at the ceiling thoughtfully. "Thinking about it, they should be back soon."

It's a new voice, rich and deep yet airily feminine, that answers him.

"Speak of Cao-Cao..."

You turn with the rest to the entrance of the tent, just in time to see a pair of figures, very TALL figures, enter.

"...And Cao-Cao shall find you."

One of them is the Monkey-Man digimon you fought earlier, his expression still decidedly sour at the sight of you and yours. The other, though...

The first thing that you notice is that this digimon- for it IS a digimon, that much is certain- is a woman. The second thing you notice is that despite the towering monkey behind her, the light still somehow manages to frame her perfectly, almost like a halo stretched over her entire form. She's dressed in robes you vaguely recognize as something a monk from somewhere in the east might wear, but her face is obscured by what appears to be a scroll, wrapped around her like one might a scarf.

She and the monkey digimon walk to the ring where you and your friends are sitting, where her gaze pans over all of you, piercing and calm. When her eyes land on your partner, they linger for a moment, and Sally flinches almost imperceptibly.

"So, just as Daniil said; you have arrived." She nods slowly, then bows. "I am called Sanzomon. The one behind me, whom you have already met, is Gokuwmon." She and the newly named Gokuwmon take a seat each, looking completely at home. Which, you realize, they probably are. "We understand you might have questions for us, as we do for you."

"I think it'd be better if you went first," You offer, and your friends nod in agreement. Gokuwmon snorts, but Sanzomon merely nods in return, accepting gracefully.

"Very well." Her eyes flick to Sally for a moment, then to Troian, before focusing on the group as a whole. "Daniil has told me of his journey, though it has only begun, and I will not ask for yours if you do not wish to tell me. But I do wish to ask..." She lifts a hand and gestures to your partner.

"Are you aware of the nature of two of your companions?" Sally stiffens beside you, and her claws grip the wood of her stool. You don't know if Sanzomon noticed the reaction to her question, but if she did, she gives no indication. Her gaze doesn't waver.

You reach out, laying a hand on Sally's arm. She flinches, before relaxing her grip, a small blush on her cheeks as she visibly relaxes. You return Sanzomon's steady gaze, feeling oddly calm.

"Yes, I am." You say, inwardly a bit worried about how easy it is to say. "More than one digimon has pointed out Sally's...difference." Out of the corner of your eye, you see Sally wince, sending you a worried look. "That she's different from what they expect isn't really anything I'm concerned about. She hasn't given me a single reason to doubt her yet."

Sanzomon stares at you silently for a long couple of seconds, before nodding.

"Then you have my apologies. I did not intend to upset you or your companion with my question." She gestures to Daniil. "I have already asked Daniil, when he told me who his partner was upon out meeting. I received a similar answer, though not one so full of conviction." You get the impression she's smiling behind her scarf.

"A-apology accepted," You say, blushing a bit as you realize how what you said could be taken. For her part, Sally's grinning and blushing, something you decide not to point out or draw attention to. "I'm sure you have other questions, though." the digimon nods.

"I do." She turns her attention to the group as a whole once more. "I was deliberating on some matters that had worried me for a while, when something I had not sensed for hundreds of cycles once more made itself known." Gokuwmon speaks up next.

"That loud buffoon, Jupitermon. He came down from his mountain." Sanzomon sends him a look that you THINK is of exasperation.

"Though I would not have put it so crudely, that is what I was speaking of. I was wondering if you had anything to do with this occurence, or the fact that he was headed in the direction of the Sovereigns' tower."

You and Zoe share a glance, before you launch into an explanation of what you accomplished on Olympus (Again, leaving out your private discussion with Venus.)

When you're done, the blonde digimon thinks to herself for a moment, before she looks up, taking in your group again.

"I will admit that I did not believe it at first, that children such as yourselves would be tasked with such an important task. It seemed foolish, desperate." She pauses, and you get the feeling once again that she's smiling beneath the scarf/scroll.

"But what you have accomplished in only a matter of days is truly admirable." She looks at each of you in turn. "When I gathered these lost souls, I did not have any designs beyond saving as many as I could. There seemed to be nothing else we could do. But now..." Her eyes narrow thoughtfully. "Now, I have begun to think that perhaps the search we abandoned to rescue those you saw around us might not have been for nothing after all."

"What were you searching for?" You ask, and Sanzomon sighs, while Gokuwmon scowls.

"We were searching for the one who I believe could fix all of this...or failing that, at least provide us with definitive answers." The blonde digimon looks down at her hands, clasped in her lap.

"Shakamon." Gokuwmon supplies. "The one who imprisoned me when the world couldn't handle how great I was, and who vanished completely not long after." His arrogance irks you, but you ignore it for now.

It's Zoe who asks the next question.

"And you believe this Shakamon could stop Yggdrasil from dying? Or could undo the damage that's been done?" Sanzomon says nothing, but Gokuwmon nods, agreeing for her.

"Kid, you have no idea how powerful Shakamon is. If the Olympos Twelve are about the same level as the Sovereigns, then even combining all their strength into one would still fall short of him." For the first time, the Monkey King (for by now you figure there can't be anything else he could possibly be) appears humble.

Still, that level of power is ludicrous. You find yourself having trouble believing that.

"Then if he's so strong," Niklas's voice is quiet. "Where did he go? Why would he leave if this is happening?"

The monkey king scoffs.

"He was gone long before that. He just sealed me up, threw away the key, and...poof. Vanished. Nobody heard from him again after that."

This, however, brings up the question of just where he went. And from both Sanzomon and Gokuwmon's accounts, neither of them has any idea.

"Well, I think what you've done here is worth it." You say, causing the two digimon to look at you in confusion. "You've helped others, many others, during this calamity, and you did so at the expense of your own goals. That's," You pause, and grin. "That's pretty heroic, I think." The reactions you get are very different.

Gokuwmon laughs and scratches his cheek as if in embarrassment, while Sanzomon closes her eyes, and bows.

"Your words are kind, Chosen, and they ring true, but they do not ease my regret at having given up my search. Yes, many ere saved, and this does fill me with peace, but at the same time, I know that no matter how many we save, it is all for naught if the Dead Zones continue to spread." Then, she pauses. "I thank you all the same."

A silence fills the tent for a few moments, before Zoe speaks up.

"Shakamon...when he was around, what was he like? Was he...was he nice? Because..." She trails off, but Sanzomon and Gokuwmon consider the question all the same.

"Well, my experience with him wasn't on the best of terms," The monkey king digimon confesses. "In fact, he was intervening on the behalf of the Sovereigns' lapdogs, the Devas, at the time. Sanzomon would know more than I do." With that, all eyes turn to the priestess digimon.

"Shakamon...is not a being I would call nice. He was understanding, wise beyond anything I could ever fathom, and always had an answer, but... he was...removed from everything. Nothing would truly bother him or please him, and if I had questions, his answers would be just that, answers." She turns her piercing gaze to Zoe, and the younger girl shivers slightly.

"He did not exist on the same level as we did. He simply was. Everything about Shakamon was above us."

Zoe frowns.

"Then, what are the chances that he's testing you? Seeing if you can come to an answer without him?" Sanzomon doesn't respond for a moment, with a frown that's obvious even past her paper veil.

"Then it is likely I have failed."

Fuck that lets go find him

"Then counting on him is out of the question. We don't have time to play hide and seek for a missing God"

"Only if you give up. If you're still alive, and the world is still here, then it's not too late. For you, or for any of us."

Ask if they have more questions.

Tentative question for our turn, since i may have to leave:
-What ARE the digivices, what can they do, can they save Yggdrasil, etc.
-Do we have anymore allies?
-Who else can we go to and ask to meet up at the tower?
-How do we get to Yggdrasil?
-How do we find the Royal Guard?
-How do we get anywhere near strong enough to hold our own against them?
-Do you know anything about Daniil's...episode?(referring to when he went crazy)

Eh, I'm not sure if she knows the answer to most or any of those.

And I'm not sure if we know about Daniil's thing.

>since we have no other votes or suggestions, I went with this one.

"Only if you give up," You find yourself saying, remembering Zoe's words at the table of the Gods. "If you're still alive, and if this world is still here, then it's not too late. Not for you, not for any of us." You look the surprised priestess in the eye. "You haven't failed just yet."

The holy digimon nods slowly, and stands.

"I...I must go deliberate on this. There is much I need to consider." She gestures to the tent. "You may stay here if you so wish, and you are free to remain with us as long as necessary." Gokuwmon doesn't look too pleased about this, but nods regardless. Sanzomon bows as she departs, and you find yourself returning the gesture. It was only polite, you figure. As the two digimon leave the tent, you look to the others. Several of them look deep in thought...with the exception of Troian, who looks rather surprised about the whole thing. Your partner shifts and fidgets nervously beside you.

It seems you've gained the hospitality of yet another powerful group. And their attention, for better or for worse.

>I think things are winding down, unfortunately in part due to my taking too long I imagine. And here the last thread was so quick. I suppose I need more practice.

So, while this thread was sadly very short, I'm glad I ran anyway.

Thank you for running Gale.

No worries Gale you'll get back in the swig of things soon enough.

It's just good to have you back.

It's good to be back, anon. I should have run yesterday, but I didn't. And I feel bad about that.
