You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

Unfortunately for you, it’s back to the old grind. School. You actually can’t remember if you’ve gotten too many assignments done the past few weeks but you’re sure the Professors at least will give you some slack. You did just come back from a match. That’s how schools are, always giving the sports teams some slack.

If you were a football player, you were sure you could just coast your way into college.

But anyway, as Kitten takes a shower, you dry off your hair. You noticed that your hair’s actually gotten quite a bit longer. It must have been a month ago since you got your hair cut. Your brown hair is now extending just beyond your shoulders.

Hm. Maybe you feel like a new style today?

We should visit Ramieriez's boyfriend's barbershop.

Also guys, I want to wishlist the Sherman if possible.

Also Have Lisa or Nancy find us another Tankery Team to practice with (perfeably one that has already lost)

I rather wait fighting Black Forest.
>>
Time to launch the /u/boats in stealth mode.

>Let it hang freely

Long hair is my fetish.
>>
> Ponytail

You take up one of your spare scrunchies then messily tie up your hair into a ponytail. Ponytails are incredibly difficult to get right, and you have no patience to get it today.

Still, you look sporty.

Kitten comes out of the shower, towel around her body. She looks at you and nods admirably. “Hm. I like you with a ponytail, it suits you, Gertrude.”

You shrug. “I just felt like throwing it together. You should try styling your hair sometime, Kitten. Maybe even get a hair-“

“No.”

Eh. You tried.

With that, you get dressed out for the day. Rain is pelting your balcony window, which means it’s time for jackets and umbrellas. You pull out your trenchcoat while Kitten decides on that bomber jacket you got her for her birthday yesterday.

“How’s it fit, Kitten?” you ask.

She grins, hugging herself. “Like a glove!”

With that, you pack up and head out. Your staff meets you outside, umbrellas and jackets already on. “Morning, President!” says Nancy. Ramirez politely hands you an umbrella, which you take.

“Rainy day we’re having,” you say.

“Well, just wait until December, it’ll be nonstop snow,” says Lisa.

You pout. “I like snow.”

You head on out to school.

Nancy can try to find someone willing to have a practice match once we have a 15 crew roster

You say, “Say, Lisa. I saw a cool Sherman in the shop. Only around 12,500 dollars I think, seems well in our budget.”

Lisa nods. “Decent tank. Poor condition though, are you sure about that?”

You shrug. “I wanted to see if something good came up tomorrow maybe.”

>I rather face someone who won'tdo that if possible

I think we'll have to face the toughest teams we can as often as we can afford if we want to win this whole thing. There's still a lot of CP to get from studying the other teams and potentially unlimited if we schedule a lot of private lessons.

I don't like it, but we get resources to spend them. I think practicing with Heinlein is a fair use of our CP since it will bring our crews closer to Elite.

>>30693828
> Y
>>
>>30694035
True but I rather have a weaker team to break in new crews like Maginot Line Academy or the one that fought Chi-ha-tan.

We can fight ace if it comes down to it, but I rather keep my options open
>>
>>30694083
We could always replace a normal practice with a mock battle if you're worried about new crews getting a handle on things before getting tossed in a match. I actually think that would be best since it doesn't take any extra time then practice would.

I just feel that when we're facing Maginot Line or another, we could instead be facing a stronger team right then which would be more valuable experience for everyone, including us Anons.
>>
>>30694159
But we need both though.

On a personnel level I'm interested in how we fight against people like Anzio and Maginot Line Academy. who have interesting tankline ups.

Though I'm not sure if there is a difference whether we fight someone like Ace or someone like Maginot Line in terms of experience.

Though like I said, I rather keep our options open and see who is willing to have a mock battle with us.

That said no one still in the tournament
>>
>>30694231
>But we need both though.
I'm not sure what you're referring to.

>Though I'm not sure if there is a difference whether we fight someone like Ace or someone like Maginot Line in terms of experience.
I'm just assuming. When mechanics aren't clearly laid out, I just stick to what would make most sense in real life.

>Though like I said, I rather keep our options open and see who is willing to have a mock battle with us.
Of course, of course. If given the choice, though, I want to toughest team we can get.

>That said no one still in the tournament
Fair enough. I don't agree but it's not so big a deal to kick a fuss over. Just facing teams already knocked out is fine.
>>
>>30694387
Both Normal practice and Mock Battles

You have a point, but by the time we get 15 crews, I rather not have a huge drain on our CP if we were to do the same thing as with Saunders and Walter Christie

Fair Enough, Though I want to save Black Forest when we reach the 20 crew member roster.

Thank you, besides Black Forest who do you think was the strongest of the Knocked out teams?

From the videos that we seen it was against the Spainish team (with German tanks) and the British like team with the Tourtise Tanks ithat faced Kursk
>>
>>30694513
Yep, I just proposed we replace one practice every so often, like the first or second practice with a new crew.

>besides Black Forest who do you think was the strongest of the Knocked out teams?
I think it's them, Saunders, and William Adams; at least what I glean from what Schteel wrote.
Since we're on friendly enough terms that BFP is sending us a gift, let's try to get a match with them soon. The week after our camping trip, maybe?

Alright, wishlisted a tank. “Nancy, is there much I have to do today?”

“Well…” Nancy taps her chin. “Ramirez says she needs you in the sound booth to record stuff for Northrop Grumman. You can get that done quickly after school of course. Other than that, it’s free business.”

You nod. “Alright.”

The rain pelts the ground heavily as you arrive to school. Freshmen are running all over the place while smarter upperclassmen walk.

> Talk with Someone (Nancy)

As you walk with Nancy to her filler class-

“It’s not a filler class!” she whines. “AP History and Moral philosophy happens to be incredibly challenging!”

You smirk. “On what? Your ability to stay awake?”

“Oh, that’s just mean! Professor Rasczak would not like that,” says Nancy. “You should take it next year, it’ll look good on your college resume.”

“Maybe,” you say. “Graduating from an Academyship is basically scholarship material anyway. You know, Nancy, I was wondering if you could maybe contact any other teams, see if they want to schedule any practice matches or something?”

Nancy smiles. “That’d be lovely, President! I’m sure we can-“

With that, you’re interrupted by some loud shouting and… Swedish? The hell? You and Nancy walk over to the huge gathering students all yelling in different languages from Turkish, to Swedish, to Hungarian-

“WE THE POLISH STUDENT ASSOCIATION WILL NOT PUT UP WITH THIS ANYMORE, CARLY!” oh god damn it.

In the midst of all this arguing, your Polish crew are at odds with another group of four students, blonde and blue eyed. One of them, crossing her arms, says, “Put up with what? We haven’t done a thing to you,” she says. She must be Carly.

“You know damn well what you did!” yells Janek. “First you taunt me and my girls! Then you come mocking our Tankery crew and our roles! THEN ALL THIS POSTURING OF WINNING THE MODEL UN DEBATE!”

Carly yells, “Well everyone knows SWEDEN IS THE BEST COUNTRY MISS JANET KOS! ALL POLAND IS EVER KNOWN FOR IS FOR THEIR SPICY SAUSAGES AND GETTING RAPED BY EVERY OTHER COUNTRY! LIKE SWEDEN!”

“Whoa! Whoa! Everyone!” Everyone keeps yelling in their respective languages. You’re pretty sure you can actually hear some Norwegian, Russian, and even some Vietnamese in the mix. “Guys! STOP!”

Everyone quiets down to listen to you. “What the hell is going on?”

One of the girls slaps her chest, yelling, “We are the Hungarian Student Association! My name is Mattie Corvinus, and we are support our friends in the Polish Student Association in the upcoming Model UN Debate!”

You blink. “We have a Model UN?”

“Didn’t you know?” asks Nancy. You shake your head at that.

“Well,” says Carly. “I am Carly Gustav, leader of the Swedish Student Association, and we plan on taking home the Model UN Debate and showing the rest of these little Slavic countries how an actual country works.”

Janek yells, “I’d ask you to go fuck yourself, Carly, but I wouldn’t want to put Alexandria and the entirety of the Russian Student Association out of a job!”

“Fucking wrecked!” yelled Mattie. She high fives Janek as Carly simply rolls her eyes.

One of the clearly Asian students says, “Well we of the Asian Student Association see it as a way to promote our countries culture!”

“Same!” says another student.

You ask, “What association are you representing?”

“Sealand!” she says.

Janek says, “Sealand isn’t a real country.” Everyone nods and says their agreement. “Get the hell out of here, Bates.” Bates frowns then walks off sadly.

“Anyway,” says Carly. “The Nguyens are right!”

“Hey!” yells Nguyen. “That’s a dirty stereotype.”

“But all of you have that same last name, Nguyen,” says Corvinus.

“…” Nguyen snaps her finger. “Eh, you’re right…”

“ANYWAY!” yells Janek. “Point of the Model UN debate is-“

“All of you are wrong.” Walking into the crowd is the History club, led by Jane Keegan. “The point of the Model UN debate is for you all to experience working together in a historical scenario representing your countries. It’s not a circlejerk,” says Keegan.

All the countries murmur and mutter. “We’ll see you all there,” says Jeanette Smith. “Don’t kill each other over it,” she says.

With that, the students disperse. Janek and friends wave hi to you before walking away.

Keegan shakes her head, looking at you and Nancy. “This debate issue is a real mess for us you know?”

“Keep dreaming,” says Sandra Marshall.

Keegan sighs. “Anyway, Janek’s definitely going to want your help with this.”

You quirk your brow. “My help? Why?”

“Just a feeling,” she says. “Honestly though, if you ask me. I really wish this UN debate thing was a little vitriolic, you know? I Just want to have a nice session about historical events and how we can learn from them and instead it’s nation bashing.” She checks the time. “Ooh, time for class.”

You nod. “Alright.”

“Still,” says Lisa. “Quite crowded today. A lot of people seem to eat outside. That’s kind of stupid.”

“Eating outside?” asks Nancy.

“Yeah,” says Lisa. “There are bugs and shit out there that’ll shit on your food, why would you eat outside when you can eat inside?”

“Why are you saying this when you can’t even clean your room, Lisa?” you ask. Lisa rolls her eyes at that.

“Friends! Students! Girls! Lend me your ears! I am Gertrude Pool, current sitting Sophomore Class President! And I am here to tell you of Lafayette Girls Academy!” You walk away from your table and start down the aisle under the gaze of your fellow student. “This year, is our lowest attendance rate for Freshmen in decades. Why? Because LGA isn’t the prestigious school it used to be.”

You stop and raise your finger. “But this year, more and more people I assure you are lining up to attend LGA for next year. Why? Because of Tankery, because of our sports teams, because of our diverse clubs! And all of you made that possible. I only ask that you help continue to make that possible, by voting for me in this year’s Recall Election!

“Now sure, you may have heard rumors that I neglect my own class for this Tankery business. But the truth is that Tankery is there to help us win back our prestige, our venerability. To help us all grow up from girls and into beautiful young women. So if you ask me, why I’d say LGA’s doing far better than it did last month. And it’s because of all of you who made that possible! So please, if you want to make it possible, I ask again, vote for me in this year’s Recall Election! Who’s with me!?”

Wow. Tough crowd.

Then a clap comes. You look over to see Jeannette Rankin, smiling and applauding you. All the students around her look at her, then begin clapping.

Finally, you get the uproarious applause you were looking for. “Thank you! Thank you!” You point to your table. “I’m going to eat lunch now.”

Lisa nods. “You didn’t?” You shake your head. “Well, I don’t blame you. Honestly, Polish, German, Swedish, Hungarians, Asians well mostly Vietnamese but still Asian. I didn’t even know we had all that many foreign nation associations. Most High Schools I’m familiar with just had a Hispanic Leadership thing.”

Nancy says, “Well, LGA prides itself on diversity doesn’t it?”

“For a school that used to be segregated, maybe,” says Lisa. She looks at you. “Something bothering you, Boss?”

You say, “Well, I was just thinking about the Delinquents. They seem pretty damn fatalistic. I wish I could help them you know?”

Nancy smiles. “That’s a noble venture, President! I’ll be glad to help you with it anytime!”

“You guys got any ideas?” you ask.

Nancy says, “Well, the most I know is that Elouise occasionally visits her Grandmother at the Old Folks Home. Luciano also kind of disappears apparently after school to god knows where.”

You rig your smartphone to the treadmill as you start running laps in place. Time to read up on Ancient Babylon.

“Hey, Gertrude.” It’s Willie Hanna on the treadmill next to you. “How you doing?”

You nod. “Doing alright. You?”

“Same,” says Hanna. “Thankfully, Anime club’s left us alone since you talked to them.”

“Cool cool,” you say. On the other treadmill next to you is Nicole Grant. “Hey, Nicole.”

“Gertrude.”

For the next part of gym, you spend some time chatting away idly of topics of little importance. Nothing much else happens and you even managed to get some studying in.

Finally, the end of gym comes. The rest of the day flies on by so quickly that you only barely managed to process what happened. The Alarm bell rings to signal the day is done.

Lisa shrugs and packs her things. You can trust her to do it. With that, you say goodbye to Nancy and head on over to the Sounds.

Ramirez nods. “Yes.”

You roll your eyes. “So, how should I do this?”

The rain has mostly gone down to a little drizzle of sorts. You and Ramirez walk over to 17th Street where Lisa said she was. Hopefully nothing’s happened-

“I’M GOING TO KILL YOU!”

… Well.

Charlotte has caught Lisa in an alleyway in a chokehold. Lisa desperately reaches out to you when she sees you, lacking enough air to actually call out to you.

“Charlotte!” you yell. “Let go of my treasurer!” You grab a hold of Charlotte’s shoulders and try pulling her away. Ramirez meanwhile is trying to slip Lisa out of Charlotte’s grasp.

“AAAHHH!” everyone screams.

You all stop when Fairless walks by. She looks at you all skeptically for a second, cigarette between her lips, before continuing on her way.

Charlotte drops Lisa. “Jesus, she’s fucking scary.”

You say, “Why the fuck are you choking Lisa?”

Charlotte says, “She was stalking me!” She taps your chest. “There are things about me that you really don’t need to know, Gertrude. So let’s just drop it alright?”

“Look, Charlotte, whatever the hell you’re doing, if it might get you expelled I don’t want it happening. You’re an Officer, think about how badly that would reflect on the both of us.”

“You’ll what?” you say. Charlotte hesitates. You say, “That’s what I thought. You’re doing Tankery to prevent getting expelled you remember? One bad word from me to the Hall Monitors and it’s the door. I’m trying to help you, so help me help you.”

“Look,” says Charlotte. “It’s…” Charlotte rubs the back of her neck, looking downwards. “It’s… it’s embarrassing alright? If people knew I-“

“Charlotte.” The door next to the alleyway opens up. “Who are your friends?” asks a man.

“D-DARIUS!” yells Charlotte, blushing. “THIS ISN’T WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!” she yells to you. “HE’S NOT-“

Darius tilts his head, confused. “The hell’s going on?” He looks over at you. “Hey, you’re Pool, aren’t you?” You nod. “Well, I happen to sell Model Tanks here at my hobby shop here-“

Darius leads you into his quaint little hobby shop. The shelves are lined with boxes and models and figures of all kinds. There are also huge doorstopper of books as well.

Darius says, “Oh, Charlotte comes here every day. Mostly to assemble some models, paint, help me stock the shelves. Occasionally we get someone who plays at 40k, get her fighting her Orks or maybe her Krieg.”

Charlotte quietly whines in a corner. “My life is over…” she squeals.

Darius walks you over to the counter. “Lately however, her last usual opponent graduated. Which means she hasn’t had a lot of people to match up with. Kinda lonely actually.”

You nod. “I figured.”

“This is one of the Leman Russes she painted actually,” he says, handing you a really exaggerated looking tank. “Like it?”

You nod. “It’s well painted. She seems to have a skill for it.”

“Yep! Most of the models out on display were painted by her,” says Darius. “She’s got the touch.”

You smile, offering your hand. “That’s me, Ma’am. It’s very nice to meet you. This is Ramirez and Lisa, my secretary and treasurer respectively.”

She shakes it. “Oooh… it’s always nice to meet a genuine bonafide lesbian!”

… fucking what? “Excuse me?”

Miss Buchalter blinks. “Well, that’s what my granddaughter tells me. Don’t worry, I ain’t gonna discriminate. I mean, I got used to colored folks marrying white folks. I’ll get used to women marrying women and men marrying men!”

Nancy says, “She’s trying, President.”

You nod, sitting down next to Nancy. “Well, colorful character you are, Miss Buchalter.” Nancy hands you a sandwich. You suppose that’s your dinner for today.

Soon afterwards, Elouise walks in, and is blindsided by your presence. “Gertrude? The hell are you doing here?”

Miss Buchalter says, “Oh, they’re visiting me! Unlike you! How come you never visit me, Elouise? You’re just like your parents, always arguing and never visiting me!”

“Grandma,” says Elouise. “My mom’s been divorced from my dad for three years.”

“Really?” says Grandma Buchalter. “Oh.”

“I’m not gay,” you say. “Just to make that clear.”

Elouise nods. “Alright, hear that Grandma? She ain’t gay.”

“Besides,” you say, smirking. “What about Tabitha, eh? Pot, kettle?”

Elouise shakes her head. “I have no idea what you’re talking about and what that even means. Why in the hell are you even here?”

Grandma Buchalter says, “Now, Elouise, do not be rude! These lovely girls are here to visit and provide me company! You know what, Elouise, you should visit me more!”

“But Grandma,” says Elouise. “I’m busy! With stuff!”

“Well, why can’t you visit your Grandma more often?” Elouise glares at you a bit. You say, “If it’s… not too rude to ask.”

She sighs. “Can we talk, real quickly?” You nod. Elouise pats Grandma on the shoulder. “We’ll be right back.”

You stand out in the hallway near the stairwell. “So, what’s up Elouise?”

Elouise sighs. “You know, my Grandma raised me for most of my life. My parents weren’t ever really there for me. I mean-“ She bites her lip. “Fuck, this- I- I mean- Damn it. Look, you don’t really know what I’m talking about do you?”

You say, “My mom died when I was very young. I might.”

“Oh,” says Elouise, surprised. “Alright. Okay, that simplifies things. Right, I don’t know what I’ll say so I’ll just say it. The Doc’s ran a few tests with her a few weeks back and- Well- Uh… Well she-… She-…” She groans a bit.

You say, “Take your time.”

Elouise breaths in, then says, “It’s not a sure thing, but she might have Alzheimers.”

“Oh,” you say. “Sorry.”

“Yeah,” says Elouise. “I-… I. I-… Sorry, I stutter a bit, but- But! I just don’t want to deal with it. Alright?”

“Any of you guys know where we can find Lansky?”

Lisa shrugs. “She’s a sophomore, it’s around dinner time. She might be back at her dorm.”

Thusly, you walk back to the dorms quickly. The sun is already setting on today. By the time you get back to the dorm, the sun has already gone halfway down the horizon. You check with the dormmaster with who lives where.

Good call on Lisa, apparently Maya is actually in her dorm right now.

You knock on her dorm door. It’s surprisingly right next door to Lisa. “Lansky? It’s Gertrude.”

She opens the door slowly, poking her head out. You can’t really see into her dorm. “Yes?”

“We just wanted to talk,” you say. “Mind if we come in?”

“Yes.” She shuts the door on you.

How rude.

Lansky opens the door again, still only peeking out. “Look, I said no.”

“Why, you busy with something?” you ask.

“No,” she says. “It’s just-“ she blinks, sighing. “Look. We can talk any other day of the week. Maybe another time, Gertrude?”

You say, “Well. What exactly are you doing in there? Shooting porn?”

“No!” says Lansky.

“Hell no!” says Lansky. “I’d go to prison for that!” You grab the door and open it wide. Lansky yells, “Hey! What the-“

Holy shit.

Inside Lansky’s dorm are three Freshmen at computers. On the walls are numbers and dates for races, sports matches, and others. There are calculating machines printing out long lists of numbers. Books are stacked all over the place and there’s a very distinct smell of coffee.

There’s no doubt.

There has to be National Lottery stuff on board and we might be able get permission to liaise with them. Get students involved in running while limiting bets and charging a tax for school funds usage.
>>
> “How the hell did you do this?”

“Ramirez, shut the door.” Ramirez quickly shuts the door while Nancy and Lisa stand around awkwardly. You ask Maya, “How long has this been going on?”

Maya shrugs. “Freshmen, I just took bets and it sort of exploded from there.”

You gesture to the Freshmen. “Well, who are they?”

One Freshman raises her hand. “Well, my name’s Vivian Mangano, that one’s Francine Erikson, and she’s Alice Shultz, we call her Dutch.”

You point to the door. “Get out.” The three Freshmen immediately pack their things and run out the door, but not before Alice tries to hit on you. You say to her, “No.” She frowns, then shuts the door behind her.

You sigh. This is something she could actually get expelled for. “Maya, why did you even do this? How is this even a thing?”

“Well, Fredendall started up all those Sports teams. I pay them to throw a few matches, we make some dollars, simple as that,” she says.

“But that’s illegal!” you say. “Goddamn it!”

I thought Coleslaw was just a sidedish?

The Only Real threat are the tank destroyers and the Super heavy.

Any ideas?
>>

>I thought Coleslaw was just a sidedish?
It is. Gertrude is also only a highschooler.
>>
>>30701365
True, but I would have just made a grilled sandwhich, or ham and cheese on toasted bread but that's just me and I was never a fan of coleslaw
>>
>>30701243
God's sake, just get a strap-on and fuck her already!

> Cook Dinner
> Call Someone (Fairless)

As you get to cooking, you pick up your smartphone and make a call.

“Gertrude?”

“Hi, Bernadette! I was just calling to tell you-“

“That one of your crewmembers started an illegal gambling ring.”

“… how did you know?”

“She called me a few minutes ago. Said that she wanted to turn herself in for making the ring and anyone else she worked with she apparently forced into doing it. Reeks of bullshit really. She apparently asked for a light sentence and for the Freshmen to go free.”

“Right… I don’t suppose-“

“I’ll talk with O’Keer about this. We’ll work something out. I’ll call you in the morning.”

“Alright, Fairless. Thanks.”

“Interesting choice of criminals you have, Gertrude. Good night.”

With that, you serve up your small dinner. “Enjoy.”

Everyone digs in. “Good stuff, Trudy,” says Kitten in between bites.

We owe fairless alot.

How can we do something for her?

FUUUUUUUUUUUCK

>>
>>30701429
So anyone want to venture a guess that those Freshman might join our cause?

I kind of don't like them, and I'm not looking so forward for another thee man crew
>>
> Boast

“Thanks, Kitten!” You snap your fingers, grinning. “I happen to have put a lot of love into this coleslaw.”

Nancy says, “It definitely tastes good!”

Lisa says, “Yeah, Good work, Boss.”

All of you look over to Ramirez. Ramirez shrugs, “It’s delicious.”

“Anyway,” says Lisa. “Gambling rings and 40k figures aside-“

“Huh?” says Nancy. You shake your head at her. Long story.

“I think today has been productive,” says Lisa. “So let’s just enjoy ourselves.”

You nod. “Of course,” you say.

Thanks for the Thread german.

We finally get to practice tanks and see what we can do,

Also some of the missions for the Deliquents are a little worrying for the fact their a little vague.
>>
>>30701588
Thanks for running, boss.
>>
>>30701588

Thanks for running Schteel.

Can you give us a rundown of important upcoming dates in this quest?
>>
Should we skip class tommorow, to work on some of these quests?
>>
>>30701646
November 1st is when the Skycraft demo takes place.

November 2nd is when you go camping with the Girl Scouts.

November 15th is voting day for the Recall Elections.

That's the most I can remember off the top of my head.

Tank match dates will come tomorrow.
>>
>>30701672

But what quests can we do?

The people in question will be in school.

The most we could do might do research and check the library or bookstore for new books.
>>
Oh German, wouldn't the vacation days be 8 since we were absent friday?

also isn't shoare leave coming up soon
>>
>>30701732
We can try to find recruits or start campaigning.
>>
>>30701861
recruits are students and we need to campaign to the students too
>>
>>30701689
Also when is our gift from Black Forest coming?
>>
>>30701870
We can make preparations for the campaign.

Maybe continue helping the delinquents if their skipping class
>>
>>30701877

That'd be tomorrow as well, wouldn't it?
>>
>>30701914
Is it?

She didn't gave us a timetable
>>
>>30701948

Most tanks take 3 days to get here.

Schteel, mind giving us an ETA?
>>
>>30701965
We don't know if it's even a tank.

She told us yesterday
>>
>>30702014

If it's cash we would have already got it.

It can't be a crew, because that's just weird.

It could be an auxiliary vehicle, but Schteel's having troubles with the scout car as is, so I doubt that.

Occham's Razor points us to a Tank. And, if I'm speculating, I'm thinking a Panzer 3
>>
>>30702071
Oh god, I hope not.

I don't want another Stug III

It must be some cheap tank that was caputred by the Germans or a Panzer they don't want like a 38t or the first two panzers
>>
>>30702094
if anything I hope it is a PZ4 or another Panther
>>
>>30702071

Or: a book.

A book on the teaching of the Nishizumi-ryu
>>
>>30702128

Oh, that'd be amazing.
>>
>>30702120
I wouldn't mind a 38T, or Panzer 2

or a Panther, and PZ4 is a little played out

>>30702128
I don't mind a book, and Maho is the type to do that
>>
>>30702120
I will only except either, if we turn them into a Stug IV or a JadPanther.

In which no one would want.
>>
>>30702187
um you don't have to except it since people are just putting out ideas for what we might be getting and the reasons people don't want those is due to them being bad
>>
>>30702128
We might get a Panzer 1 or Panzer II.

If I recall those were maho's favorite tanks
>>
>>30702253
Sorry typo, I will hope for them.

Also they were good casemate tanks.
>>
>>30702253
Both models were really successful tank destroyer designs
>>
>>30702296
but casemates are not sexy
>>
>>30702324
But their effective
>>
>>30702324
Not to mention the fact we may be getting a lot of 3 team crews i would expect the Chechs tanks
>>
As a gift, how about Armored Side skirts for their StuG IIIs that they never use?
Bonus points if it's from Maho's StuG from the Little Armies manga.
>>
>>30702334
meh I just like my sexy Pz4/Panther/Tiger/King Tiger
>>
>>30702371
But we already have a stug....

it will be a vintage tank though

i'll laugh if it was a Tiger I or a Maus
>>
>>30702393
We already have three of those 4 and I doubt we'll get a Tiger,

I want my Czech tanks
>>
>>30702405
Well why not?

I mean, that Maus, it was meant to get them to the finals you know? Or at least get more mileage. Except now its collecting dust.

I could imagine them sending the thing over just so the poor tank got to do something other than act as target practice.
>>
>>30702405
>But we already have a stug....
Which doesn't have Schurzen/Armored Side Skirts yet.
Which I implied would be a possible gift as well, given that Maho did use the StuG III in her childhood.
>>
>>30702456
We will get those eventually, we already equiped them to the KV and the Tiger.

I imagine we're only getting a chassis or a vintage though
>>30702441
Because they only have one, and their's always the next tournament
>>
>>30702487
Who said we got to keep it?

>>30702456
Welp, nevermind this idea.

Turns out that StuG in particular doesn't have side skirts equipped.
>>
>>30702429
I only "Czech" tank I know of was made by the Germans
>>
>>30702521
I doubt they'll loan it, It will be OP for it to do so, Also I don't like the Super Heavies
>>30702548

They were made in 1935 and 1938 respectively, though Germany did Annexed them before the war with poland
>>
Whats the conversion on the Panther, guys?

I don't remember us doing any work no it
>>
>>30702589
We have the Panther G, the best turreted model of the Panther.

The Jadpather is an effective casemate tank that has the German 88 that was used on a Tiger
>>
>>30702641

The store is saying we have a conversion-in-progress on the Panther.

I know we have a Panther G. Did we ask Perinne for a Panther II while I wasn't looking?
>>
>>30702666
German forgot.

and no we did not.

I hope we don't have to go through Perrine for the GMC for the Scott
>>
>>30702694
why not if we do it is likely to be way cheaper then otherwise
>>
>>30702773
Because it isn't that hard to convert it.

Just add a 75mm gun to a Scott.

But it's up to german if we can do that.

Also it takes a week, and she's already working on the Churchill
>>
Either way, I vote we upgrade the Chi-Ha to a Shinhoto tomorrow.

See if we can keep the 120mm on the Shinhoto, but we need that extra power.
>>
>>30702961
No.
>>
>>30702961
no
>>
>>30702961

That Chi-Ha is almost untouchable due to it being a donated piece from the museum.

Cant sell it, not sure if able to mod it.
>>
>>30702986

What a convincing argument
>>
>>30702961
I like the Chi-ha, but also I have to disagree.

We have to get the Sherman Chassis up to speed first
>>
>>30703048

We can touch it. Griselda/Schteel confirmed it in the thread she came to visit.
>>
>>30703066

Thats what she thinks but she wanted the tank sent to us anyways.

What would the museum board think?

The 5k weekly is more important to risk it.
>>
>>30703066
We could but we shouldn't

We need all the tank we can get right now.

Also Freshman are using it.
>>
>>30703096
>>30703099

True, might help to check first.

What's our current budget as well? 21k?
>>
>>30703152
>16,550 Dollars
If the pastebin is to be believed. We're not dipping into the class treasury if that's what you were suggesting.
>>
>>30703187

Add the 5k we got from Grumman today though. Since Schteel won't update that.
>>
>>30703152
Possibly more if the Girl Scouts managed to sell cookies to Perrine.

What do you mean check? We need the Chi-Ha for now.
>>
>>30703231

Check with the Museum whether we can modify the Chi-Ha.

Also, maybe Maho's present is a Grille or a Wespe
>>
Just to be clear, we aren't touching the Chi-Ha right now. We still have the chassis to work on and a tank to buy tomorrow.

>>30703218
Right, sorry I forgot.
>>
>>30703262
German said both IC and OCC, we can do whatever we want to it.

I'm against selling it because I like the Chi-Ha and at the moment we need it, since we need at least 15 tanks
>>
>>30703306
Agreed, though depending on what's on the Shop (if we don't get anything good)

I suggest we buy the Sherman since it will take a week to get to school.
>>
>>30703307

He did?

Hmm.

How was the performance of the chi-ha's gun?
>>
>>30703375
Bad, as an Artllery, it was okay with the 120mm naval gun.

The Shinohoto Chi-Ha can fight Stuarts with it's high velocity 47mm gun but cannot fight Grants or Shermans

The Chi-he could do well against them from the side and read but not from the front if I recall

the Chi-nu with the 75mm gun can fight a Sherman head on.
>>
>>30703530

Was mainly thinking of the 120mm gun.

So its not good? Can't find anything on its performance.

Well its an actual war vintage one right? I wonder if Chi-ha-tan would buy it.
>>
>>30703617
The 120mm is a stubby artillery gun, the bigger the calibur doesn't always mean its better.

Chi-Ha-tan might be interested, but again we need all the tanks we can get right now, selling it right now will not be wise.
>>
>>30703694
Just so we're clear, if we knew exactly how much we could get for it and that money could let us buy something better immediately, would you still be against selling the Chi-Ha?

We'll have to do something with it, and I'd prefer we had something else entirely then to field a Chi-Nu in the finals.
>>
>>30703694
We need tanks that can pull their weight, not "anything we can get."

That leads to bad decisions. We need to be smart, even if it means pain now for success later.

People are habitually risk averse, though.
>>
So I had some ideas about some Aces:

Joan Pieper (Tiger II/German)
Francis Bake (Panther G/German)
Tegan Lutterel (Cromwell VI CS/British)

Should I try and come up with some more?
>>
>>30703791
I doubt we can buy something immediately and unless Chi-Ha-Tan has a tank they can give us in exchange, the I guess so.

Again I doubt it but why are you so against it?

We're most likely getting rid of it when we fill our roster and tanks however we need it now as a training tank, and probably for the next match
>>
>>30703694

I was thinking of selling it to them after this match.

I'm sure they'll want something like that in their collection.
>>
>>30703806
So you want to go against Chi-Ha-tan with a underfielded force?

We need all the tanks we can get doesn't mean buy all the shitty tanks we can afford.

I'm saying with the Chi-Ha, might have to be used for a subsitute tank for when we have to do conversions like the ones we have for the Churchill and Somua

We most likely sell it for when we fill up our roster, but that time isn't now.
>>
>>30703858
I don't mind so much right now, but let's see what happens first.

I prefer to use it for now, maybe use it for the Sewing club while upgrading their Somua, but again that depends when we can get new tanks
>>
>>30703841
I'd rather get rid of it sooner then wait until we have a full roster. The quicker it's gone, the more money we have which means we can afford better tanks.

Don't misunderstand, I'm fine with it if we need to field it for the next match.

>>30703858
I kind of doubt it. They have fifty of the things.
>>
>>30703941

Not the 120mm cannon one.
>>
>>30703941
I guess? If they can offer us a tank along with some money (Hopefully one we don't have already) I'll consider voting for it.
>>
>>30703955
Just checked and you're right. Man I need to do that before I post.
>>
>>30703941
That ultimately depends on what we get though, also we kind of need spare tanks right now
>>
>>30703890
Yes? It's nothing but a liability at this point, equally likely to either kill itself or simply get gibbed by the opponent.

The opportunity cost on it is insane.
>>
>>30704039
Is it? If it was a vintage then I would agree with you.

But it hasn't broken down when we field it.

I rather go out with a full force then without even if it's the chi-ha
>>
>>30704039
>>30704085

Yea, at the moment, its a possible meatshield for the flag tank.

Just hope it doesn't BECOME the flag tank.
>>
So guys, we don't know when the next match is, but it's presumably soon. How about tomorrow we revisit that old quest "I suddenly remembered my Charlemagne!" and get our 15th crew practicing sooner rather than later?

The loyalty quests are important, but no matter when we finish them, their benefits will be exactly the same on match day. We get our new crew now, they'll be that much better when the time comes.
