15th day of prophecy, 02:15 pm, in the closed room of Rhyclan main briefing room following the end of the strategic planning. A nagging feeling crept in your guts as you looked into your brother face and he gently palmed the sword back to its scabbard; aside from this vague sense of fleeting déjà vue, to think of Durandal as a weapon related to the Embodiment of Justice while you not only crossed path with the angel during your little trip in the crusaders camp, but managed to convince Leila to come with you to Zipangu; you never really thoroughly questioned the girl on account of the immense amount of faith and goodwill she thrust forward, but perhaps you ought to question her a bit more seriously on her motivation when you can… As for Gil, you had to talk a little with Ame-no-Uzume and the queen proved surprisingly receptive; as such you resumed the tale of the Nightmare you encountered here in this very mansion after revealing Hadraniel identity, quickly following by the ordeal of the death world that was the Cursed Swamp; something that impressed this man has he interrupted your story to know a little more about it, resulting in spending twice as long describing your experience and encounters, trying to make sense of the entire ordeal was fruitless once you entered the mansion, but Athena corruption raised his empathy enough to know he was already thoroughly convinced of the Embodiment of Love plight.
Again, you felt a certain nagging bothering you as you finished, surrounding the questions of the Embodiment; you’ve finally encountered each of them with one revealing himself a bitter enemy and another becoming a close ally who satisfied herself with a single minded love (despite you saying otherwise). Radiance is an unknown but she’s also dead; Ismael didn’t strike you as a foe or someone masquerading as an ally to plan your downfall, but most importantly, she also lacked the otherworldly aura that gave the Embodiment such strong impression.Hadraniel gave you the image of a distinct, unreachable and thoroughly honorable knight if a bit cold and distant upon first encounter. Lysta provided a completely different attitude by being warm, lovely and friendly, surrounding herself with an aura and charisma that you can only describe as a ‘’Holy Maiden’’. Orion needs no description, his very physique and presence demand respect and impose intimidation, your first impression might have been negative but he is nonetheless an impressive foe. For Ismael… it actually took you time to deduce her identity, unlike her three brethren the Embodiment of Justice didn’t surround herself with a strong, personal aura and part of you can’t help but think of this as odd given the three previous examples you’ve experience; impossible to add another, you’ve finally come full circle with the oldest heroes of the angelic people, there’s clearly an odd one out. After the end of your tale, the shared journey and hardships you, Ame and every girls went through to find and awaken the lost Hero left your brother thoughtful and silent, yet relaxed enough to avoid palming his sword as he went to rub his chin, completely and utterly silent; his piercing blue gaze oftentimes jumped between you and your wife-to-be (she quickly joined to point out a few things here and there during your summary). ‘’To actually go into that hellhole and survive…’’

Rhy and Ran were sitting side by side and talking, the regent sported a gentle, calm smile which changed swiftly after the distractions of your brother intrusion; with a little head pat she gave her niece a goodbye to follow King Rosario out of the room who seemed to be struck by a total lack of care for his two monsters ally; Cadhla was sitting nearly breathlessly, cold frigid air not only hovered around her body visibly but continuously iced over an increasingly large part of the table, now having thoroughly transformed the chairs next to her it reached all the way to the ground and frosted over the stone floor while her fingers tapped on the rasped ice, her gaze momentarily flew toward you, nailing you with an empty impression impossible to decipher aside from some vague interest which send a cold sweat down your back. She’s even scarier than back during the Purge…Fendall, for her part, was hovering around Daiyu, navigating expertly around the obstructions of chairs , scaly tails and wings bumping here and there on the objects as she seemed intent to grill the demon lords with some question you weren’t able to hear from this side of the room. The Demon Lord seemed amused, but also very much on guard; part of you felt like going to her rescue but a more pressing concern had to be taken care of, that succubus can manage herself just fine.‘’Ame?’’The Queen seemed to have been momentarily lost in thoughts, her single remaining eye was closed and her expression flew between forlorn in cold as she stroked one of her tails while resting a few numbers on her body, enrolling two of them around her arms, she snapped back at attention and her eyes twitched adorably while shooting you a glance, soundlessly asking a question.
‘’I need to go see Sylphis, if you need me, then look for the mantis… and Athena as well’’Her response was a curt nod heralding a quick ‘’very well’’ and you set out at once as she slowly started walking toward the table, hiding the pain and fatigue of her wounds nearly perfectly.That mantis will be easy to find, the only thing you’ll need to do is follow the pain.--‘’Oh hey, everything done now?’’The moment you walked out of the room you were nearly immediately greeted by the tall Minotaurus, her heavy furred feet meeting the ground loudly and her surprisingly swift form nearly scared you out of your wits, you thankfully had enough control to avoid making a fool of yourself in front of the warrior and simply greeting her back politely as she snuck a glance in the room.‘’I’m pretty free now, say wanna catch up on old times? Go flirt in the city? Or maybe exchange tales of adventures? I’d like to see your two girls again, they were pretty mean in our fight a few weeks ago!’’Tian meaning of a good time can easily be described as Amazonian and maybe barbaric depending on one’s view of ‘’proper civilisation’’ but there’s no denying her warm, nearly intoxicating aura of overwhelming friendliness. That warrioress total lack of shame instill a certain impression of natural comfort and already the tension flows out of your shoulders and you let out a sigh, either tired or sad you couldn’t say as she walk toward her giant axe to heft it prudently on her shoulder.Sylphis is facing an obvious drama in her life, but Tian did meet her and Athena , perhaps you could have her accompany you… who knows, perhaps she could help out in her own way?

Didn’t had many chances to exchange words back then but if she considers me a friend… I’d love to be there, yeah’’ Letting out a sharp breath with her nostril, she hefted her big weapons and nodded down at you, easily beating your height by a few inches she loudly followed you as you set out between the column of Wyvern Knights, her loud steps clapping behind as many of the me and woman stood at attention; a Minotaurus certainly doesn’t go unnoticed and the fact she was personally recruited by your brother hasn’t gone unnoticed, perhaps the day of vagrancy as a mercenary are truly over and done with now. --
Finding the mantis was easier than expected, you simply had to take a little stroll down the spiral stairway and look around the main hallway, she, Sylphis and Hadraniel were huddled in one of the corners, staying out of sight, mind and body, you say the shadowy, cloaked figures of several mantises up and about, lurking in the activity as they kept a constant vigil on the insect assassin, the only reason you caught a glance would probably be because they didn’t quite intend to keep themselves out of sight, even Tian commented something about ‘’lurking’’ as she shot an upward glance to one of the silent agent on the second floor disappearing into the depths of the mansion. ‘’Ah, Siegfried’’Hadraniel face beamed slightly, her cute visage breaking into a sincere smile upon your arrival, the warm feeling of the link prompting a return smile despite your best efforts to keep a countenance, she quickly looked toward Tian while Athena stepped forward as well, keeping her corrupted arm safely out of sight.‘’I honestly didn’t taught we’d see each other again’’‘’You and me both! Gotta say, for such small girls you fought as well as my sisters!’’A loud slap resonated in the hall as Tian loudly smacked her chest, Hadraniel simply smile and flapped her wings gently, halo brightening which provoked a stare from the tall warrioress.‘’Angel amidst monster aye? I’d love to share some story with such a fair maiden around a fire sometime! Or maybe a little spar?’’The Embodiment cocked her head sideway with a modest smile, her fully armored and armed body projected a strong aura of righteous might despite the gentleness of her expression, certainly something that would catch the e yes of every warriors in the entire mansion; if there’s one thing you’ve come to understand about people spending their entire lives to hone their body to weapons, they love to test themselves time and again.
‘’Perhaps…’’She answered, voice friendly and polite while her wings curled around her shoulders as Athena shot an awkward glance toward Sylphis; the mantis was completely silent, not even acknowledging the Minotaurus, her face sported a total lack of expression for a time… then shifted to anger as she glared at a broken pillar, then once she crossed eyes with you, she huffed, shook her head and turned around, taking a step forward but stopping midway as her hooded form looked down at her feet constantly, projecting an utterly pitiful aura.Talking to her might be pointing out the elephant in the room, maybe you ought to speak with Hadraniel and Athena… Or not, what will you do?

Slowly, you walked toward her small back and gave her shoulder a gentle pat, then slide your arm around the front of her body and squeezed softly as you pressed your body forward. The mantis stiffened nearly immediately, pure surprise momentarily overwhelming her emotions, you simply stayed silent and tried you best to project as much empathy as possible; the mantis simply stiffened even more, her jaw clenched and teeth clashed audibly as a sharp, potent intake of breath escape her mouth, heralding the surge of potent, pure raw rage that nearly sent a surge of adrenaline in your own body.
‘’Let…’’She interrupted herself by snapping her jaw shut – again- and gripped your arm painfully, sinking her big scaly fingers in your flesh, nearly piercing the protective leather covering your arm.‘’I need to go outside’’She spoke low enough that you had trouble hearing, obviously not wanting to have the girls overhear.‘’…let go’’ She wasn’t asking, her demand was clear and the rage in the voice shook her entire body as the emotions mixed in a dangerous, volatile cocktail of poisonous negatives emotions, she’ll probably escape the hug by force.What do you do?

With this amount of volatile emotions just about ready to explode, good intentions can very well act as catalyst to something dramatic; Sylphis hands let go of your arm as you gesture to finish the hug, the intensity of her rage and grief barely letting for a second, her body is wracked by a few tremble as she turn around to look at you. Bright golden eyes look up with shining intensity, water just about ready to spill yet her mouth curled in a visible snarl that shows her white teeth, she quickly hid her face by looking down.‘’Let’s go together’’You ask next in a low voice as Tian boisterous voice start describing the bandit encounter from her side, how she and her sisters made a synchronised charge to batter open the wooden walls, this lapse of attention however, proved dramatic since Sylphis… The mantis took off running without so much as a warning, her small fast form zipped into the hallway, and cutting distance like an arrow as her hood got thrown back, sending a few cats into a panic as they saw the telltale sign of a mantis, this sudden and completely surprising outburst rotted you on the spot, she literally escaped, ran outside with the dexterity of an assassin on the chase, throwing off all pretense of stealth.‘’Aw hell’’Athena finally broke the silence of the conversation, Mylen and Tian were obviously astonished by such a display while the lizard girl and angel however, sported worried expression.‘’She’s going to do it.’’ And with that, the corrupted monster took off running, following her friend and you almost did but instead elected to ask Hadraniel, thankfully the Embodiment didn’t even need a question.‘’Sylphis is… suffering right now she learned a troubling, personal new and we were all here, Zechariah…’’She stopped while gripping her polearm.‘’He offered a fight to get the anger out of her system, just like that’’Obviously she took him up on his offer.…What do you do?

If Zechs had anything to do with this it will almost certainly be the last one and we need both of them alive and functional in the days ahead to better our already slim odds.

If they get stronger that may change.Of course, she is a friend of Athena's and thus a friend of hers. Seeing a friend torn up inside is never a good thing for morale and it's best if it is as high as possible because the enemy likes to target that and the SAN points because it's going for psychological destruction. As it can't kill her directly itself, it'd be happy as a clam if she brained herself with her own spear.Pretty much its whole reason for existence, trying to get Hadraniel to kill herself. The day she does is the day it finds happiness.
‘’I… see’’You feel stunned, Sylphis emotions are so drastic and intense it’s a cascade of boiling red hot angers cascading throughout the link without end, causing a single minded near-berserk fury that… you never felt anything like it and never suspected the quiet, teasing mantis to project something to strong. ‘’Look like the seven stages of grief got confused.’’ Tian had obviously tried her best to ignore the elephant in the room, your hug might have triggered this near psychosis from the mantis in the first place, different people react differently to grief and sadness and right now, you simply elect to keep a calm, empathic demeanor deep inside you, creating a pillar of beneficial emotions for Sylphis to feed into as much as possible.‘’Let’s go, I’m worried’’Hadraniel didn’t wait for a reply, Mylen hefted her spear and, after a quick backward glance, followed the Embodiment and in turn you took off in a jog with Tian closing the march, for some reason the Minotaurus was smiling, albeit bitterly.‘’Drama a bitch ey? I reacted almost the same way back then, too’’So far the girls you’ve been linked with had always been able to deal with their emotions, however the events of the war piled the stress day after day; you’ve always had a knack to control yourself when it truly mattered and perhaps it is your greatest personal talent, neither kings, generals and perhaps even gods could deal with their emotions efficiently and now, today, you’ve had a stark reminder of this fact; you’ve always liked to think of these girls as nearly superhuman but strength will sometime fails.You can’t simply ask someone to not do something stupid when so blinded by rage and grief, only a precious few people can see through the shroud of emotions. --
--It wasn’t difficult to clue the place of battle, even with Athena, Mylen and Hadraniel total disappearance a strong projection of Holy energy in the back of the mansion became the perfect lure, screaming high into the air for every mages to know that trouble brewed; the various curious workers and soldiers had been rudely shoved aside and were grunted under their breath about missing something cool which almost had the large Minotaurus berate a few cats on the spot, you quickly arrived (at a brisk pace of course) in a special courtyard still chockfull of debris, fallen trees, broken piece of walls and discarded piece of other nearby building acting as a temporary field of garbage, it was strange that they didn’t choose the actual arena near the barracks but this place was also secluded enough for Athena to shoo away onlookers while Hadraniel took to the sky, keeping a very close watch and distance for quick charge to interrupt the fight which seemed to be extremely mobile.‘’Stupid! Stuuuupid Zechariah always looking for trouble! Stupid Stuuuuupid!’’A small cute little blue thing was bouncing up and down Mylen shoulder, your bodyguard visibly grimacing awkwardly at the creature, Aurore was completely ignoring your bodyguard to scream her obscenity; a strong clang of metal quickly interrupted her and the two combatants jumped into view.Sylphis had thrown away her concealing hooded cape, scythes veered toward offense she swatted her arms in a criss-cross movement meant to section an arm, however the nimble swordsman replied by a swift kick in the rips which threw her off balance and, given her small weight, send her off course and away from the counterattack of the Holy sword which literally came down from the direction of her own previous strike, which missed of course, as she nimbly jumped out of way and into a pale of garbage, yet the strike itself seemed to be a feint to force movement as it stopped before coming close to her flesh.
Your eyes were immediately glued at the shining sword with the lull in battle; it was beyond a shadow of doubt a weapon rivaling the grandiose auras of Laminas Angelorum and Durandal, the blade had the cold and impersonal coldness of steel yet build straight without imperfection, solidly hilted and surrounding in an unique golden hue that seemed to shift in color momentarily. Zechariah started moving after losing Sylphis from view, his pace brisk and even he kept a constant speed while turning from the piles, barely turning his head as his gaze narrowed in concentration, you caught Sylphis fast, nearly blinking movement crawling around his flanks, stopping to crawl and keep form view as she movement with twice his speed and mobility, jumped over the bigger debris as she stalked her prey, using full advantage of the terrain to avoid a face to face confrontation, her emotions seemed to cloud judgement as, instead of waiting, she started to use full advantage of her training to whiz at twice the speed, extending the scythe of her right arm, her stride cut and turned incredibly fast as the swordsman climbed atop a pile for better view and with near animalistic, frenetic energy she close the distances in seconds and your breath caught in your throat as she aimed to bisect the swordsman leg… who put his sword in between, creating a strong clang of metals but even so it wasn’t enough to rom the strength of Sylphis momentum and Zechariah jumped while folding his one leg in the patch of Sylphis site and turning around on his hell with his second leg, this time jumping toward the girl and missing by an hair breath.That would have ended the fight right then and there, yet he could also have slide his blade across Sylphis scythe for an easy flesh wound… it could have easily happened as an accident. ‘’Damn!’’
He grunted, this time giving chase to the near unnatural speed of the mantis; Sylphis dexterity was truly breath taking, not only was she able to correct her movement in split seconds but she actually extended her arm to catch and help herself climb a pile while her second, properly scythe wrist cut into peculiar debris, sending a few tumbling down as the swordsman kept a hot pursuit, this time unwilling to let her go after such a close experience to Sylphis speed and sneak attack, the mantis quickly climbed atop the highest pile and squatted as close to the ground as possible, scythes crisscrossing again as she angled herself downward, an extremely dangerous position. ‘’How did he die?’’She asked, voice raps and breathless from her prodigious running, her current position projected an aura of pure, raw murderous might; Sylphis is easily the kind of combatant to end a fight in as few strikes as possible and right now she, once more, angled herself for a potent high risk, high reward attack .‘’I wasn’t there to see it, the angels attacked simultaneously at several parts of the city aiming for the Rahall leaderships; things got very bloody afterward’’ Her words were simple distraction, Sylphis hands grabbed piece of sharp metals and hurled them in the man direction who quickly cut in to them, fully convinced of the quality of his sword and to his credit, the blade definitely came through as every debris obstructing his vision were sliced cleaned through, some of them still landing on his body, yet he endured without wincing, however his instinct of survival flared up as you visibly saw his face blanche from the impending strike of the mantis.
Sylphis didn’t jump like you expected, instead she took a step on the uneven pile barely able to hold together and directed her failing stance in a desperate upward jump, then whirled and curled her body as she started descending, bending her arms and scythes in a twin vertical strikes, gravity saw her fall fast, very fast.With a strong clash of metals, the fight came to a quick and brutal end as movements escaped your eyes, the young swordsman had literally stepped into Sylphis murderous distance and blocked one of the scythe by holding the shining holy blade one handed, Sylphis legs extended in a kick toward his face and midsection and he took it like a champ as her grabbed her waist with his freed arm and ,before the second scythe could actually dig deeper in his flesh (as it had already started to sink in his shoulder, he put his entire weight, height and muscle into a throw, overpowering the mantises physically and jumping with her sideway in some kind of unique wrestling move, loudly stomping the ground and painfully compressing the smaller mantis.‘’Gow!’’She screamed in protest as he quickly let go, wincing in pain yet fast to scabbard his blade, his shoulder wound was apparently only superficial as he used his that particular side to pat her gently.‘’Hmm…. Interesting’’ A peculiar voice behind prompted a quick whirl and you came face to face with Daiyu Jawahir, still hidden in her disguise; her bright golden eyes shifted toward you as her feature softened in a smile despite the mask concealing half of her face.
When did she…?‘’I think that weapon could also be very useful for tonight event.’’Up above in one of the mansion room, a young blond man garbed in red clothes was looking down at the end of the battle; his eyes shifted toward you and, once realizing you were actually looking at him, he gave a nod and disappeared inside.Zechariah seemed to have crouched down beside the hurt girl, but you were too far away to hear anything; what do you want to do now, Siegfried? That battle is over and done with and Sylphis doesn’t seem likely to murder innocents anymore, the efforts and pain work wonders to filter the rage.
