The last thing you remember was a dream. The first thing you remember is watching the news.

You watch the news broadcasts talk about the latest bout of 'domestic terrorism' that took place in Old City; a white-washed story about Kaplan Tactical Security getting nearly wiped out by an 'unknown armed group'.

It is so easy to hype up what was essentially gang-land fighting, but as with the Old World before the Chaos Twenty, so the New World will use terrorism as a polite and clean excuse for a sudden street-battle that involved a Fuchikoma Mini-Tank.

You continue watching the news, looking for any details that might help you out at a later point.

But it appears that apart from your little fight last night, nothing new is being broadcast, and certainly nothing useful.

You get up, finish your coffee, and take it to the kitchen to rinse out.

You decide that since there's some downtime and the kids have been arrested, you could go hang out with Ian, fish some details out of him.

Certainly you don't need an excuse to hang out with him, but this is a convenient way to see just how deeply involve he is in all this.

You look around the safehouse. It's a testament to the possible influence of your likely-insane hacker sister that the bodies are gone and no-one is investigating.

Thinking about her, you consider what kind of threat she could become if the need arises. Erica is a straight-forward tank of a girl, built to go into the thick of things and tear everything apart with a smile on her face.

The unknown pilot/bot controller model might come into play, but with a raging civil war, there's no telling if she'll show up at all.

1d100 for general voting, best roll out of five is chosen.

Combat is 1d100 with modifiers for how many shots you fire in combat. Best out of three roll is chosen.

Burst Fire and Full-Auto Fire attacks can be done multiple times in one action, but each attack after the first incurs a cumulative -10 penalty.

Body armour subtracts from total damage done per attack.

You can target multiple enemies in a single action. Roll 1d100+modifier for each target. Specify for each roll the target and the attack used.

Takedowns and Executions are 1d100-20 and a short paragraph describing the Takedown or Execution. Best out of three rolls is chosen, but I will pick which action description looks the best to me.

Reactor Charges are your healing mechanic. Expend a Reactor charge and roll 12d6. Reactor Charges stack, and are regained through Takedowns and Executions.

Stability is a measure of your Yandere psychological state. If you lose a certain amount, known as the Snap Limit, you Snap and enter a state of emotional hysteria and brief psychosis. Lose all your Stability, and you go Berserk, and will perform a violent action, often against your love interest.

Relationship is how strong your relationship with Ian Carter is. You have to keep your relationship as high as possible. If you drive the relationship down into negative numbers, Ian will reject you, and you will proceed to murder him and commit suicide.

Good luck.

You turn off the television and drain the rest of the coffee before walking into the kitchen to rinse it out.

You pat the revolver at your side and decide to head back to the apartment to grab your Gas Blades and Scorpion, at least that way you could shoot something without having to worry about the second bullet going flying.

Your memories about the Assault/Commando chassis make you a tiny bit jealous that you don't have integrated recoil-absorption systems, something like that would have made that fight with the Fuchikoma go a lot faster and end it in your favour.

You check your systems.

Health: 190/190
Armour: 48
Reactor Charges: 6

Fully ready to get back into trouble, you walk out the door and begin heading back to Ian's Apartment, ready for whatever you might encounter on the street.

You stroll out onto the streets, thankfully keeping your revolver concealed by the long coat you're wearing as replacements for the clothes that got shredded by the Fuchikoma's minigun.

As you walk into the main part of New City proper, you find yourself walking through a small crowd, when you suddenly feel a hand try to slip into your pockets!

You spin around and find a man behind you, hand still in your pocket and he pulls a knife on you as someone notices and screams.

"Give me your money!" He shouts.

-"Fuck you."

>>
>Beat him up.

You don't even blink and simply step close to him before you grab his knife hand and in a single effortless twist, snap his wrist like a twig.

The man falls to the ground screaming as you walk off, the crowd parting slightly to let you pass as you resume your journey back to Old City.

You encounter a corporate limo sitting outside an apartment building, with four guards waiting nearby, Uzi's openly carried as they glare in unison at you.

They seem trigger-happy, from the way one of them is flexing his hand just so.

-Ignore them.
-Fuck with them.

>Ignore them

You walk past them, and although they stare at you as you pass by, they don't move from their positions.

You quickly reach the area with the smuggler tunnel and vanish down it and travel into Old City.

As soon as you surface, you immediately take to the rooftops and begin hopping over the gaps and acrobatically free-running over air-conditioners, vents, pipes and chimneys.

Then you see them, a group of young men and women, free-running across the rooftops as well, and they're apparently moving on a path to intercept you.

They get close to you and one of them waves over at you. You slow down to a halt and they catch up with you, the one who waved smiling, "Damn, we saw you taking those gaps like a pro! Hey, if you're interested, you wanna race? The pot's going for 500 Tenge."

-"Sure." Bet a large amount for the pot.

>"Sure." Bet a small amount for the pot.

You hand over 80 Tenge and stretch slightly, "So where are we racing to?" You ask curiously.

"The helicopter wreckage is the finishing point." One of the group pipes up in reply and you suppress a twitch at hearing that. Wonderful, a race to the helicopter you brought down.

You get into a ready position alongside them and at the count of "Three!" you take off, flipping over a pipe and leaping over a gap as you race the group across the rooftops.

You to a large gap, and begin setting up to cross over and retain the short lead you possess.

Roll 1d100 now, best roll out of five.

You go for the jump, but slip at the last moment, tripping over the edge and slamming into the wall of the building before falling the rest of the way to land with a loud thud on top of someone.

"Ouch! What the hell?" A pained shout reaches your ears as you rub your head and rear, before blinking as you recognise the voice and look down and behind you to see Ian rubbing his face as he pushes your coat out of his eyes.

You then focus on how you're straddling his chest and blush furiously before looking up and waving off the free-runners.

Well, you lost the race, but this isn't so bad.

"Alice?" You blush a bit harder and nod, before closing your eyes, "Could you get off me please, you're kinda heavy."

Your eyes snap open and you stare back at him in disbelief, "H-heavy?"

"Did you just call me fat?" You ask in a soft voice. Beloved or not, you were not going to take the implication that you were fat lying down!

The fact that you weigh over two-hundred and eighty pounds because of your construction conveniently escapes you.

Ian blinks, before shaking his head, "I didn't say that, just that you're heavy! Seriously, are you wearing steel plates under that coat?"

You suddenly gain a sly smile on your face, "Well now, I don't know. Now that I think about it, you're actually quite comfortable. I think I could enjoy using you as my person cushion."

Relationship: +10

Ian smirks, "Really? Right here in the street? Gee, Alice, I never knew you were such a dirty girl."

You blush at the words before you suddenly find yourself shifting as Ian manages to get some leverage and quickly find yourself on your feet, hands gripped behind your back as Ian presses close to you.

"Might want to be careful though, cushions tend to shift around while you're sitting on them."

Your only reply is a shuddering breath. You can smell him, you can smell his scent and it's wonderful. He leans in closer and just as you're about to feel his lips on yours, he draws away, "You're not the only one who can tease people, Alice."

You stare at him wide-eyed as you slump to the ground, before a giddy smile rises to your face. You've learned something new about the man you love.

New Trait Discovered!
Payback: Ian will give as good as he gets in any situation.

+20 Stability Gain!

Stability: 175/200
Lost Stability: 25

You sit there for a few seconds more, before blinking and rising to your feet to quickly follow after Ian, easily catching up to him.

"So what are you doing today?" You ask politely, getting ready to start fishing for details.

"Just going to do some stuff for a friend." Ian replies as he walks along the street casually, "Boring stuff really."

"I don't mind boring stuff, as long as I get to spend it with you." You reply earnestly and Ian smiles slightly but doesn't say anything to refute your words.

>Start fishing for details.

You open up your libraries and activate a specialist system designed for infiltration; a pheromone manipulation system that makes people more pliable to questioning, but you need to be careful, too many questions at once will still make Ian suspicious.

You enter the Shopping Complex with him and follow Ian to a bookstore, where he picks up a book order although your own systems detect a large mass that is definitely not paper.

"So who's the friend you're helping out?" You ask innocently as the two of you leave the bookstore.

Ian shrugs, "Just someone I know from doing odd-jobs, nobody interesting."

Kinesics say otherwise and you smile, "Well, it must be a decent amount of money to have you do gopher work."

Ian shrugs, but your systems pick up resentment, "Not that great, but I don't really have a choice."

Red Queen is getting impatient, you easily read between the lines as you ask, "But can't you get help?"

Ian nods, "I can, but they ran into some trouble, so I'm currently on my own for now."

You make a decision at that moment, "Then maybe you I can help you with this job of yours."

Ian's head snaps towards you, "No! I mean, you can't! This job right now is really difficult, dangerous even, I can't let you get involved!"

You frown, "Why not? You helped me, so why can't I help you? Or is it too different from that day?"

You will not let that light in his eyes fade. You will protect him, always.

Always.

Ian's cheeks redden, just a touch, enough for your Kinesics to tell that a little embarassed, and pleased, by your words.

You continue by saying, "I trust you, and I want you to trust me Ian. Let me help you."

+5 Relationship

Ian stares at you and meet his gaze evenly and determinedly, as if trying to focus all of your love into your eyes so he could see just how much he means to you.

Finally, he relents, "Fine. I'll speak with the boss, get you an introduction. You know, it's funny, you volunteering when you did. Kinda lucky actually."

"Yeah..." You reply softly, "Really lucky."

You follow Ian around, noting down the real contents of a series of suspicious packages and helping him deliver them.

You have a firm idea of just what is being delivered from your scans and referral to your libraries.

Electronic infiltration gear, digital lockpicks, explosives, polymer weapons with sealed caseless ammunition, everything needed for an infiltration team.

Red Queen was going ahead with the heist, but was she going to wait for her team to be released from custody or did she have a backup team ready?

And Ian may not be happy to be doing this, so there is a good chance that the other teens aren't so willing to do this either.

You could work with this, you just have to find out more information about the team and where they stand.

Looks like you're going deep cover now.

As Ian moves ahead of you, a smile comes to your face. It's not a nice one.

Such an interesting man you fell in love with, you can only hope it gets more interesting from here!

Soon, the two of you are heading back to Ian's home and you're enjoying that warm sensation of hugging Ian, while a wicked part of you is noting that he's enjoying having his arm pressed against your chest.

Suddenly there is a series of staccato pops and Ian snarls, "Shit! Looks like a gang raid! We need to take cover!"

You nod and follow Ian into a building just as a pickup loaded with people in heavily modified clothing marked with a strange symbol.

Then the pick-up explodes as a rocket streaks out of the sky and an attack helicopter appears and you stare at the Old City Police markings on it.

Ian notices your stare, "Old AH-64E's, practically worthless, but with the amount of guns and heavy hardware most of the big gangs are starting to pack, I've heard police forces are using old helicopter gunships to deal with any Street Armour that show up."

What the fuck was wrong with this city?

Then you spot her as a group of Pick-ups swerve to a halt just as Old City police arrive and open fire with their own heavy weapons, starting a gun battle in the streets.

Clad in a sleek suit of combat armour, a one-eyed woman strides forward like a tiger, a knife that is large enough to be considered a small sword secured in easy reach over her shoulder while in her hands are a pair of pistols.

"Holy shit." Ian breathes, "I can't believe I'm seeing her."

"Who is she?" You ask, curious despite yourself and Ian turns to you.

"That's the leader of the biggest gang in Old City. That's the Moord Nag."

The woman strides past, before pausing and turning her head to stare directly at you.

Her one eye seems to blaze with an inferno before a bullet slices across the bridge of her nose, spraying blood everywhere.

And then, before your eyes, the wound begins to seal as cartilage and flesh regrow and skin reseals itself.

The display over, the Moord Nag turns away and strides forward, her pistols opening up to add to the violence.

(Cont.)
>>
You clutch Ian tightly, something in that stare told you enough to know that the Moord Nag is not someone you want to cross.

You can take the Red Queen, you are certain of that, but something in the eye of the Moord Nag told you that facing her would only bring death.

Eventually the raiders are pushed back into the slums, the Moord Nag going back the same way she came, her armour battered and pitted, covered in blood, but there wasn't a mark on the skin that was visible.

Your libraries give you an answer to the question in your mind. Single Generation Enhancement Procedures.

S.G.E.P, the acronym for what history considers ground-breaking and yet the most vile advancements in gene-therapy; the feasible creation of super-soldiers during the wars raging across the planet at the time.

Genetic modification research supposedly advanced one hundred years during the wars, before the Scalar Bombings set it back eighty.

But you only had to look at a Battlefield Generation to know what the results of that lost work was.

You shake your head to clear it as Ian takes you both home. Genetic research was restricted by the UN anyway, no-one wanted to create a second Battlefield Generation.

Mostly because it involved extensive modification of child soldiers in order to get the best results.

As the two of you walk inside, Ian turns to you, "That was crazy, huh?"

You smile, "I wasn't worried, after all, I have you to protect me."

Ian smiles, "Come on, Mom's going to be worried."

You nod and follow him upstairs.

True to Ian's words, Rebecca was worried, and you know that there will be questions after Ian's gone to bed.

And once Ian has gone to bed, Rebecca takes you aside, "So what happened to you after the Mini-Tank attacked?"

Maintain the facade is keeping up the appearence of being human by editing the story so that being badly wounded means you were clipped by light machinegun rounds, not taking a chest full of 12.7mm bullets.

Something like that really needs a bigger prompt.

Remember back in our first meeting with her?

When we revealed our atomic heart? She knows we are a cyborg since day 1.
>>
>>30621960
>The truth.

She has modified eyes. She can see. We can't keep this under wrap forever.

She will trust us more if we tell her the truth. She may even start to like her cyborg daughter.
>>
>>30622195
Did we? I'll check the archive. I though we just admitted to being a trained operative.
>>
>>30622233
And that we are going into heavy fighting. I do not think she will miss it the second time around.

Explaining it then would be even worse. Damage control people.

No we didn't.

>Maintain The Façade

You pull back your coat to reveal the Cannon holstered at your side an Rebecca's eyes widen marginally before she holds out her hand, "May I see that?"

You hand over the weapon and she inspects it, "This is a big gun, the lack of recoil compensation means you would miss every shot after the first if you tried to fire it all at once."

She hands it back to you, eyes sharp, "Not only that, those are different clothes. You got injured."

You nod, "I was clipped by some machinegun bullets while taking it down. My clothes were ruined, but the wounds were minor."

"Did you get them treated?" She asks, and you detect a hint of worry. How nice!

You nod again, "I found a safehouse while I was investigating my past, it had medical supplies I used to patch myself up."

She stares at you for a moment, before nodding, "Anything in regards to the job?"

You nod, expression becoming serious, "Ian and the others may not be entirely willing to go through with this. I need to go deep cover to find out more though."

Rebecca nods, "Do it. You know how to do a dead-drop?" At your nod, she gives you a picture with GPS coordinates on the back, "Use this for the drops, and if you need to, pass on messages."

You nod, "Understood." She smiles and lets you go to your room. You hear her making a phone call as you enter.

You quickly arrange your gear and clothing for tomorrow before changing into your pyjamas for the night.

You look over at the laptop and the Neural Core on your desk, before pulling out the Safehouse Flash Drive from the pocket of your clothes.

still very wary of accessing that neural core here at the house and with the computer we seem to want to keep. I suggest we get a cheap computer and go to the outskirts of town to access it.
>>
>>30622334
Next time, we will vote in force to do it.

If we admit to who we are, mommy will actually be less inclined to think we are yandere. After all, have you ever heard of a yandere cyborg before? Not a cold calculating cyborg, but a yandere emotional one?
>>

it was definitely referring to our mom.

We just need to persuade them. We can test the water by finding out her reaction to other cyborg like humans.

I have half a mind to go into her room after she is done and ask about stories from the battle generation, especially any cyborgs. Say that we encountered Morag Tong today and thought she could be a cyborg.
>>
>>30622498
Sure, let's just up and tell her we're an android now. Seems like a perfectly great plan that will in no way back fire to me.
So long as we can plausibly deny it, we should.

Ahhh I see. Thanks anon!

She doesn't suspect we are yandere right now. She just thinks we are in love with Ian thanks to him saving us. Outing our selves as a cyborg will totally alter her view of us. Does she even think robot are humans, let alone worthy of marrying her son? Also a cyborg showing the emotion and free will we have shown will be suspicious. She might think we have been ordered to infiltrate by the corp that owns us. I assume cyborgs don't tend to wander around and make decisions on their own.

It is left by our sister.

If there is one person we could trust, it would be them. Family is the most important thing.

They have been looking after us, guarding us for the last few months. If she wants to screw us over, we would have been screwed way before this.

-PLAY THIS FIRST!
......you would be surprised how many people don't do this step first.
>>
>PLAY THIS FIRST!

You open the video file and immediately you see Mom, sitting at a table in a concrete bunker. She seems frazzled but the smile on her face is bright and confident.

"If you're watching this, then you're one of the Golems I helped to make. I know you must have questions, you must want to meet me, but that can't happen. Not without this being done first."

She holds up a device that looks like a small speaker and presses a button. A low tone emits from it.

Instantly you clutch your head, doing your very best not to scream!

>>30622927
possibly not. it is a low tone, so it's possible that only we can hear it. Infrasound

I meant the scream. But I trust in mommy. She probably did it to remove a mechanism to harm us.

>>30623066
well, 55 might have been enough to succeed. or to at least muffle it.
>>
>Roll: 55

A pained whimper escapes your lips before the tone ends and you recover with a pained gasp, breathing heavily.

"I'm sorry if that hurt you, but it was necessary. Nathaniel inserted hundreds of back-door kill-codes that would turn you into a suicide weapon if you ever saw me physically, but I was able to find a way to use your own auto-recovery systems to purge the codes."

Her smile turns regretful, "As you likely found out, it is extremely painful, as your systems purge the code using the data transmitted by the ultrasonic tone I just broadcast."

She puts the device somewhere out of sight, "You're free of the codes now. Don't be afraid to come find me, without those codes, Nathaniel's hold over you is greatly lessened."

The video ends and you go for another video file.

>Unknown Signals

You open the file to find a man sitting at a table, as if giving a briefing.

You don't recognise him as he begins speaking, "We've identified a number of signals originating from locations in Moscow. We don't know the source of these signals, but what little we have intercepted indicate that these are covert communications, heavily encrypted."

He shifts and brings a plastic evidence bag into view, and your eyes widen as you spot a Black Plug in it.

The man begins speaking again, "At three of the sites, we've located these unknown devices. Their design is not recognisable as anything manufactured to date and they are fitted with sophisticated anti-tampering mechanisms. We have found out that they broadcast an identification code constantly, but we have no idea as to the intended recipient of this code, or their location."

He looks back at the screen, "If you find more of these objects, be certain to secure them intact, so we can continue studying them for any clue as to their purpose."

The video ends and the only thing you note regarding that man is that he's wearing a US Four-Star Air Force General's uniform.

You move to choose the next video.

>Access Codes

You open the Access Codes video file and are greeted with a black screen, before they begin to flash in front of your eyes.

-Air Defences: 9878552

-Elevators: 9987782

-Security Door Override: 9638854

-Armoury: 0014753

-Executive Residences: 5587623

-Core Access: 7895777

The video ends and you blink. Well, that was...underwhelming, but then it was labelled correctly.

You decide to open the Project Nyx video file to see what is inside.

The same US Air Force General greets you, "If you are watching this, then the primary operation has been compromised. You therefore must continue onwards to your secondary objectives."

A picture appears of a sleek helicopter, "We have reason to believe the the Red Chinese have finished work on what can only be called a flying stealthed tank. The 'Nyx' as NATO is calling it, is believed to be Red China's attempt to duplicate the Russian 'Vampire' and then exceed it. As far as Langley and Norfolk are concerned, they've succeeded."

An image of a location in Kazahkstan appears, "We know that the Red Chinese are conducting covert tests, but all field assets have been able to confirm is the location of the tests, not the aircraft itself. It is therefore of the highest priority that the Nyx be confirmed and if possible captured. If not, it must be destroyed and all research data with it, to deny the Red Chinese this new aircraft."

The General shifts, "I've been assured that you are capable of enacting the necessary aerial recon work in order to find and destroy the Nyx. Good luck, we expect great things of Project Golem."

What?

You open the file for Project Prometheus and the General appears again.

"Hello, and if you are watching this, then the operation has been compromised. As such, you are re-assigned to locate and destroy Project Prometheus."

(Cont.)
>>
An image of a man appears, no-one you recognise as the General continues, "This is Doctor Julian Eckhart, one of the finest genetic researchers in the world, and the man who pioneered Single General Enhancement Procedures. For years he has been in hiding, but Langley has confirmed that he is now in Moscow, and he has been busy."

A blurry photo of some kind of lab is now shown, "These drone images show Eckhart has established a lab in Germany, using the ruins of an old World War 2 Flak Tower as a cover. This underground lab is currently being used to artificially grow humans that have the same genetic enhancements as the Battlefield Generation. This must be stopped."

The General appears again, "Nothing must survive. Destroy the lab and kill Doctor Eckhart, before his 'New Prometheus' can be deployed or sold to the highest bidder."

The video ends and you are still confused. What the hell is all this?

You open the video file for Project Gorgon and watch the General reappear.

"If you are watching this, then the operation has been compromised. Therefore, you are being re-assigned to deal with Project Gorgon."

An image appeared of a large building, "This is the United Nation's headquarters for their Watch Dogs organisation. For weeks, we have been in contact with a covert asset who has informed us that rogue elements are going to release a suspected self-evolving adaptive virus known as Gorgon into the Web. If released, it would allow the Watch Dogs total information control, and render all current cyber-security procedures useless."

The General's face reappeared, "We cannot allow that to happen. Your mission will be to launch a counter-hack operation and prevent Gorgon from being release. Coordinate with the asset to destroy all electronic and physical traces of Gorgon."

(Cont.)
>>
The video ends and you lean against the wall, confused about what you have just watched.

Why did the hacker sister give you these files? Are they related to you in some way?

The mystery of your past just keeping getting more complicated and confusing, with little answers for your questions.

You remain sitting, looking at the video files, and for once, you wish your life was simpler.

(And that's Part 14! Part 15 will be up Saturday 9:00AM, GMT+10! Next time, going deep cover, and another encounter with Hacker-Troll sis!)

Next was Prometheus with Gorgon as secondary?
