You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

You flutter your eyes open just a little. After last night, you went to sleep with Kitten. Nothing too special to note.

Hm. That’s strange. That doesn’t look like the bunk bed.

That kind of looks Perrine Hobart watching over you as you sleep.

You must be dreaming.

WAIT YOU’RE NOT DREAMING.

You sit upright in shock, banging your head against the ceiling and then falling back into the bed, gripping your now poundingly pained head.

“Good morning, Gertrude!” says Perrine, sitting in a chair in her olive blazer, white blouse, and black plaid miniskirt. Must be her school uniform. She opens her arms up wide. “Hugs?”

You lean over and hug Perrine, who nearly pulls you out of the bed in a tight hug. “Oooooh, it’s been too long, Gertrude!”

You nod, smiling. “Yeah, been way too long, Perrine. How are you doing?”

“Oh, I’m tres bien ma cher. Walter Christie is doing better than ever and we are just stoked for today’s match against Lafayette Girls Academy.” She finally lets go of you, letting you lean back into your bed. “And you?”

You shrug. “I’ve been on this ship for two days. What else is new?”

“Ah, that’s a shame. I took a look at your tanks while I was up here,” says Perrine. “I didn’t realize you had a King Tiger!”

You smirk, patting your chest. “Well… that King Tiger happened to be a recent purchase and I do happen to have an incredible crew manning it-“

Perrine beams. “Michelle’s crew isn’t it? I know their record, 143 kills before they retired! Well, technically 149 I think now since your match with Adams and Saunders but I saw the match, yeah.”

You nod. “Yep, I daresay it can solo this match with Perrine if it wanted to!”

“Oh, it probably could,” says Perrine. “Good thing I didn’t touch the E-100 though! I think we might be able to make a last minute adjustment!”

Wait what-

She stands up, crossing her arms triumphantly. “Anyway, Gertrude! I’ll be on my Academyship. Our match won’t start until…” she checks the time. “5 O’Clock PM. So I bid you adieu!” She quickly skips out of the room.

Lisa yawns, waking up. “The hell is going on?”

You shrug. “Let’s just get ready for the day everyone.”

So this CDL of hers. Would it be crazy to ask the Stuart/S35 to shoot out the searchlight with their machine guns if shown the opportunity? Night fighting's going to play to WC's advantage probably, especially since our crews don't have any experience in these conditions.

I think I'm overestimating how much it'll play into the match though. I hope.
>>
>>30569242
If the Opportunity showed, it will be better to just take out the tank with their main guns.

If they were to encounter it head on and did it's light thing, then yeah sure.
>>
> Freshen Up

“… and she might be bringing her E-100?”

You nod to Nancy as she asked that. You and all your crews are now in the ship’s showers. You run some shampoo through Kitten’s hair, making sure she’ll look presentable for the cameras when the match comes around.

“Maybe,” you say. “It’s a tossup but I’d at least expect it.”

Lisa sighs. “And to think she called it a piece of shit and wanted to use it for Unlimited. Why did you have to convince her to not scrap it?”

You shrug. “I didn’t want to see a tank get scraped like that.”

“Well, we have a very big potential boss battle on our hands then and only one or two of our tanks have the potential to maybe take it down,” says Lisa.

With that in mind, after you shower, you all get dressed out in your Tankery uniforms. You quickly button up Kitten’s uniform and zip up her skirt for her. She hands you your helmet, which you take underarm.

You’re docked in the city of Goteborg it seems. It’s incredibly cold today, so you opt to wear the tankery trenchcoat and some nice warm stockings. Your hands are chilly as hell though, you need some damn gloves.

> Visit Walter Christie

You say goodbye to your crews in favor of taking a visit to Walter Christie. You’re taking your tank Cupid along with you as transport. Kitten, Ramirez, and Nancy sit out on the engine block while you and Lisa turn out of your hatches.

As the elevator goes up, you’re tapped on the shoulder by Kitten.

“Here,” she says, handing you a nice pair of black leather gloves. “Figured you might want them considering your hands are still shaking.”

They are not shaking- Okay, they are shaking. You take the gloves gratefully and put them on. Contrary to popular belief, not all gloves fit perfectly, but damn if these don’t fit you like, well, a glove.

You smile. “Thanks, Kitten.”

Your tank is eventually aboard the deck of Academyship J. Walter Christie Polytechnical Institute. Lisa drives Cupid down to the campus and on to the Workshop.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPx-nUqLMtc

Loud music by Queen plays as you dismount and step in. A lot of students are running around either in uniform or in boiler suits, working on various tanks both classic and unlimited.

“Hi, Gertrude!” Perrine waves at you from the shadow of her olive drab Churchill AVRE. “Come to visit?”

You nod. “Yeah.”

As you walk down the row of tanks reserved for the Classic roster, you ask Perrine, “So, Perrine. You like those cookies the Girl Scouts sell?”

Perrine nods, smiling. “They were just like Mom used to make.”

“Think you might buy some more?”

“Oh,” Perrine shrugs. “I might. I’ll give it some considering.”

You nod. “What about dresses. You need dresses?”

“Gertrude Pool,” Perrine crosses her arms, smirking. “Did you come here just to sell me stuff?”

You shrug. “Maybe, do you need dresses?”

“Unfortunately, no,” says Perrine. “I must admit, I’m not exactly what you would call a girly girl who’s really big into dresses. Plus…” Perrine scratches the back of her head. “Haven’t found anyone who’d like to see me in one.”

“Ah.” You pat Perrine’s shoulder. “I know what you mean.”

Perrine grins. “But anyway! Let’s talk tanks, that’s girl enough for me!”

You nod. “Yeah, I was wondering if there any potential conversions for the Churchill and maybe the S35.”

“Well, we were just approved to start working on Sau 40 replicas and S40s as well, but it’ll take time to get components together. As for the Churchill, I agreed to turn it into a IX for say… free?”

“Are the S35 conversions free too?”

Perrine shrugs. “Depends. We have to put together a lot of components. Replications and such are not easy. I suppose if you want to be free, you’d have to wait a month, but if you want it like… in a week? I need some serious cash.”

> Talk with Perrine

“Say, Perrine, since my tour with you last time was cut short, do you mind if we finish it with a look at your Unlimited line up?”

Perrine gasps, stars in her eyes. “Really!?” She bounces in place. “Yay! Come on!” she grabs your hand and starts running down towards the Hangar.

“Okay! Okay! I get the point!” you say.

Perrine bursts through the doors and shows you the Unlimited Hangar. Tanks, tanks as far as the eye can see, all of them extensively modified with parts and kits both modern and vintage. “This is the Unlimited line up!”

You notice some familiar faces, the Super Maus for instance. Perrine also directs you to a Hellcat with a Pershing turret on it, along with a lengthened chassis. “That one we modified from the design you saw back in Bovington, we call it the Hellsing!”

She also shows you an absolutely huge monster of a tank. “That one is also new! We picked up the only Geschutzwagen Tiger chassis a week ago, turned it into my newest flag ship tank! It has about 200mm of frontal armor, a new customized turret with 110mm on all sides. Stratton is working on potential engine for it, to make sure it runs you know?”

You nod. You never even heard of a Geschutzwagen Tiger. Your stomach growls a bit. Might be time for lunch. Perrine asks you hopefully, “Impressed?”

“Of course,” says you. You feel a little empty inside for some reason. “Anyway, Perrine, what kind of money do you need for S35 conversions?”

She shrugs, stepping away from you, then scratching her chin. “Oh… 40,000 Dollars.”

You blink. “Eh?”

“I’d have to replicate the engine which means going to historics to find their blueprint, then I’d have to rebuild the parts of the engine in detail, then you have components like periscopes, suspension, drive, clutch, etcetera. Not to mention the new hull and the turret. And that’s just for the Sau 40 for which there’s a working prototype, but unfortunately the team that has it, Joan of Arc I believe it, they won’t share it. The S40 could clock at an additional 10,000.”

You blink. “Uh huh,” you say. “So… It’s expensive.”

“Very!” says Perrine.

I'm a little confused, so it costs 40,000 for the SaU40, but the S40 is 50,000?

With that, you leave the Workshop and head to the most expedient place to have lunch.

MCDONALDS.

You chew on your fry, your crew all gathered around while Perrine hungrily chews through huge burgers, fries, chicken nuggets, and other meals. “So, Perrine.”

Perrine stops her eating. “Hm?”

“So that’s really the price?”

Perrine nods, smiling. “50,000 for the S40, 40,000 for the SaU 40. Of course, if you want a production SaU 40 with the 47mm AT gun, that’s about… 37,000 Dollars?”

You nod. “Why is that expensive?”

“They’re prototypes,” says Perrine. “Very rare tanks indeed, and I’m not surprised people use them because of that. They’re mainly museum pieces anyway.”

“Of course,” you say.

The S35 is fine for now, but when we want to replace it, I think Needlepoint would only go for a French tank. 40K's not that bad, we've had that much money before and we'll only be earning more as the quest goes on.

So? You figure we'll find more Tiger II's? You think Needlepoint would be cool getting stuck in a completely different tank? We can't get stuck up on spending our money as efficiently as possible, we don't have time and means to do that.

The S40 or SaU40 aren't bad options, just one's we won't touch for a while when we build up money and are relatively comfortable with the rest of our lineup.

Perrine says, “Oh! My professor tells me I might have a full run to MIT. Exciting but I kind of want to stay here on Walter Christie. It’s really one of those schools I love! It’s the engineering and the… everything! Hell, you should transfer here!”

You nod. “I’ll consider it.” You don’t have plans on transferring just yet.

Perrine smiles. “Great!” She bites down on a burger. “What about you guys?” she says to the rest of your crew. “Do you guys find Walter Christie okay?”

“Well,” says Nancy. “It’s a nice school! Are there any interesting clubs!”

“Sure are!” says Perrine. She starts counting off her fingers. “There’s the Engineering Club, Assault Engineering, Civil Engineering-“

Lisa says, “Are there any clubs that don’t have to do with engineering?”

Perrine blinks. “Hm. Well, I do support the Archeology department, they’re usually the ones who dig up the tanks for me. Why, last year, we actually got into a really bitter war with Chi-Ha-Tan.”

“Really?” says Kitten. “How bitter?”

“So bitter!” says Perrine. “Apparently, we found the only O-I in existence in Manchuria. It was a veritable Jone-sy style adventure trying to claim it!”

You nod, your interest piqued. “Who got it?”

Perrine sighs. “Chi-Ha-Tan. Though, they don’t list it on their roster. I’m actually not entirely sure why they’re not using it.”

Not until we have a better idea of the timetable for this whole tournament. Jesus, this is something we should know.
If we have time and either an extra tank or an extra crew entirely to cover for them, then we can do the conversion.

Seriously though, we should take note to ask someone roughly when all these matches will take place. It will make managing our time and money a lot easier.
>>
> Return to your Ship

You all stand up. “Well, Perrine. I oughta head back.” You check the time, 2:30. Almost time for the match. “My crews are probably going to worry.”

“Oh, I won’t keep you then!” says Perrine. “Good luck to you in the match, hope we give each other a good game, yeah?”

You nod, smiling. “Yeah, Perrine.”

You all hop back into Cupid then drive off towards the loading area. You’re back onto the elevator in no time and soon you’re on the Jetty with all the rest of the tanks ready for movement to the staging area. All your crews are out and about in uniform, talking, going over maps again, or just goofing off.

Kate walks over to Luciano. “Here,” she says, handing over a compass. “This’ll help.”

Luciano glares at Kate, swiping the compass. “I don’t need your help.”

“Then why did you take my compass?”

Luciano fumes, walking away. “Whatever!”

You walk over to Charlotte. “You going to be okay?”

Charlotte shrugs at that. Maya says, “I suppose we’re ready to give to them the business. We’re following you right?”

You nod. “Just stay behind me and I’ll win you this match, alright?”

Charlotte simply stares at the compass, grumpy. “Hey, Charlotte,” you say. She looks at you, surprised. “Focused?”

Charlotte nods violently. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Let’s just get this match over with.”

“Hey, don’t beat yourself up. You did fine in the match with Saunders. Two kills you know?” The five of them all mutter and shrug at that. “Stop beating yourselves up. You’ll do fine.”

Nancy walks over to you. “President, I think it’s time for a rousing speech.”

You nod. You walk over to Cupid and climb up onto the turret. “Everyone! Listen up!” All the crews turn to face you. “Today is our match with Walter Christie!”

“Right, I’ll try not to make this pre-battle speech a traditional thing but lets just listen up for a bit. We all know Walter Christie. We’ve all seen what they do to tanks.” You point to Janek. “Janek, do you want Hobart to turn Szarik into some wild machine with two turrets and an jet engine?”

Janek yells, “Hell no!” The Poles all shout and whoop.

“Anna!” you yell. “Are you going to let Hobart turn Ross into some casemate with a giant 105mm gun strapped to it!”

“That’d be like wearing denim jackets with denim jeans in the 60s!” yells Anna.

“… okay. Point is, they think that just because their tanks are special, that means their tanks are invincible! We are going to show them that they’re wrong! Who’s with me!?”

Everyone hollers and shouts, raising their fists.

“Alright, everyone in your tanks! Let’s head out!” Everyone starts hopping in their tanks. You pull up the hatch and slide in. “Lisa! Let’s roll out!” You can just hear Nancy hum Amazing Grace as you start out of the jetty and towards the staging area.

You say over the radio as you drive. “Guys, it seems like the E-100 might be a sure thing. Can your guns penetrate it?”

Kate says, “From the rear at point blank, maybe.”

“That doesn’t reassure me.”

Octavia says, “Look, we’ve never fought an E-100 with this kind of gun. Michelle is admittedly a bit rusty with her penetration values. Point is, it might be a bit difficult, even with us.”

“But don’t worry,” says Kate. “If we do end up facing it, I guarantee you, it will go down.”

You nod. “Alright, girls. Thanks.”

With that, you arrive at the staging area. Crowds are about with heavy coats as they prepare to watch the match on screen. You, Luciano, and Kate dismount as you walk on down to the venue where the judges and Perrine Hobart are gathered.

The judges greet you. “Nora Rasmussen.”

“Janet Blomgren.”

“Hilda Hall.”

You nod. “Nice to meet you three. Thanks for judging.”

Nora says, “When you pass this match, you’ll move on to face Chi-Ha-Tan in the next, they won their last match yesterday.”

“Do you want to break the suspension?” says Lisa.

After about five minutes of idle driving, Kate reports in. “We’re on the Highway heading south. No contact with Christie so far. We’ll keep you updated.”

“Janek here, we’re moving through, nothing so far.”

Here we go

This is the thickness the angles create.

UFP = 400mm
> sin30 = 200/h Where h is the Hypotenuse

LFP = 233.3mm
> sin40 = 150/h

Rear = 173mm
> sin30 = 150/h

Turret front (Henschel) = 231mm
> sin60 = 200/h

Turret side = 91.4mm
> sin61 = 90/h

Turret rear = 155.3mm
> sin75 = 150/h

Side armor is 175mm with skirts
Shooting the 17Pdr it can penetrate up to 140mm (500yards)
> Turret sides
Shooting Sabots (at close range mind you as accuracy suffers over distance) it'll penetrate up to 208mm
> Turret side
> Turret rear
> Rear
> Side

The Long 88 can penetrate up to 185mm (500m)
> Turret side
> Turret rear
> Rear
Shooting APCR it can penetrate up to 217mm
> Turret side
> Turret rear
> Rear
> Side

The 76mm on the Sherman and Hellcat shooting standard it's only going APC M62 is only going to manage 93mm (500yards)
Shooting AP M72 it's going to manage 109mm
> Turret side
Shooting HVAP it's going to manage 157mm
> Turret side
> Turret rear

The long 75 on the Panther shooting APCR can manage 175mm (500m)
> Rear
> Turret side
> Turret rear
> Side

How ever, these penetration values are against homogenous steel. German big cats had their armor face hardened to shatter the shells.
If I were going to put my money anywhere, it would be on a mobility kill and making the E100 a non-factor
>>

> - 1 CP

You check the maps again as you trudge along. The sun’s already pretty much set on the day, and night is beginning to approach fast.

The M3 Lee CDL you caught a glimpse of at the Workshop apparently still has its 75mm hull gun intact, while the turret is now armed with an incredibly powerful spotlight. Nobody is really going to like being on the receiving end of that, not even you.

However, most of their tanks are not really armed for long-range combat like you are, save for the Panzer III with the squeezebore 75mm. Indeed, the only one with a hope of long range combat is the E-100. And you have no idea where either are. The AVRE especially is going to have to close to stupidly close range to even have a hope of hitting you with that mortar.

You look out to see some smoke to the East towards where you’re heading going all the down south towards Kate. That has to be their entire team.

“Kate,” you say. “I think you might have some company.”

Kate says, “Acknowledged.”

The night has pretty much fallen completely. You can barely see ahead of you as you lead the pack.

“Janek, Anna, you see anything?” you ask over the radio.

Anna says, “I see a really huge tank! Looks like the E-100. It’s blocking off the highway I think, I can’t really tell! And I can barely make out another tank too.”

You say, “I think I might have seen smoke, but it can’t just be those two tanks.”

Kate says, “I saw the smoke too. I can’t really see anything now, really wish I had one of those IR nightvision thingies those wehraboos always like to talk about.”

You say, “Well, does an E-100 kick up that much smoke when it moves?”

“No tank kicks up that much smoke,” says Octavia.

You blink. Then what-

“It’s a trap!” yells Luciano. “They’re all here!”

You yell, “Lisa! REVERSE!”

Your Sherman brakes hard, slamming your head against the cupola. Good thing you’re wearing a helmet. Then your tank rumbles at loud explosions right in front of you and among your positions. “What’s going on!?” You check out the periscope, only to get blinded by an intense white light from some indeterminate direction. “GAH!” You recoil back, rubbing your eyes. “MOTHERFUCKER!”

“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?” yells Samantha.

“I CAN’T SEE THEM, MY EYES!” yells Marina.

“EVERYTHING IS GOING WRONG!” screams Luciano.

You pop out of the cupola and pop the flare, revealing you and your tank still in pristine condition. “Follow my flare! Reverse and fall back!” Lisa keeps the tank moving backwards while making sure to change direction, dodging and juking round after round.

“I can see Gertrude!” yells Marina. Their tanks, once scattered and rolling about, now fall back into a proper wedge formation behind you. Your tanks start backing out of the huge amount of explosions which periodically blind you.

> TEAM BEARCAT IS NO LONGER FRENZIED
> TEAM LAST-CHANCERS IS NO LONGER FRENZIED
> TEAM MINIE IS NO LONGER FRENZIED

You yell over the radio. “Janek! Anna! Come up from the south, take the guys north of you, see if you can dislodge them! We’ll try and support what we can!”

“LET’S DO THIS!” yells Janek. You can see some pops of white and yellow, assumedly Anna and Janek rolling into Walter Christie’s south.

Alright. Now to- “GAH!” you scream. The M3 Lee CDL blinds you with its flash again. It’s definitely northerly. Considering how much fire you’re taking, you can safely assume all of Walter Christie is here and attacking you.

HE at the northerly positions. The Dust will reflect the light and blind them.

Then us and Luciano head to help the scouts. I'd commit the KV and T-34 but they need to stick together and retreat. It's a bit risky for a flag tank.

We can't do a thing with the CDL dazzling us. Split up our tanks so it can't blind us all at once. Coordinate with the other tanks to take it out. That thing is literally a giant SHOOT ME signal as long as that light is on.

Recall Kate's group and regroup with us and flank from the south. The E-100 won't be able to keep up off road and should be a nonfactor.
>>
So I guess it would be safe to assume the flag is hiding behind the E-100 since that's the thing we really don't want to tangle with.

“Roger!” the three of them yell. Your tanks start moving while you still have cover. The spotlight occasionally tries to pop at you but all it’s doing now is revealing its position and probably blinding themselves in the process.

“Gertrude! Get down!” screams Kitten. You immediately head down into the cupola. Just in time for 20mm and 30mm shells to start blasting at you at your hull. The entire tank starts shaking and rumbling. Nancy and Ramirez brace, gritting their teeth.

“Damage?” you ask.

You pop out of the cupola and light up another flare as the old ones start dying. “Form on me!”

The Churchill IV AVRE, despite the best efforts of Team Tigris and all other teams firing at it, manages to disappear into the darkness.

“Samantha, go after it!” you yell. Samantha acknowledges and her T-34 starts after the AVRE.

The rest of your tanks start forming into a triangular formation, with you at point and the KV-85 between you all. Luciano’s tank is still at the southern hill where you started, keeping watch for the E-100.

In all the commotion, maybe the E-100 was supposed to come up and try and get a lucky snipe at your tanks. Plus, they still have the Panzer III which is their flag tank, and since it wasn’t here, it’s with the E-100 most likely in support.

“Luciano, see anything?” you ask.

“Nope!” yells Luciano. “Wait! I see the E-100, it’s-“

> KO: PANTHER AUSF. G “Al” (COMP. SPEC.)
> KILL CREDITED TO: PANZERKAMPFWAGEN E-100 “Treebeard” (COMP. SPEC.)

After a few seconds of coughing and groaning. “It’s FUCKED US!” yells Luciano.

After a few imposing minutes, the E-100 comes rolling over the hill, shooting flares and announcing it’s position to you. It turns its gun at you in particular.

“Ramirez! Kitten! Machine guns! Poke that bastard in the eyes!”

Kitten squeals with glee as she cocks the .30 Cal, then starts firing all rounds she can at the E-100. Ramirez as well loads up the coaxial .30 Cal and then starts firing as well. Your shots light up the E-100, which starts ponderously moving forward, then turning to the side, as if confused.

“We’ve got him! Hit him with everything we’ve got!” you yell.

Your tanks start firing all rounds they have at the E-100. The E-100 starts backing away as it fires a shot, which blows near your side.

“Our tank is tipping over!” yells Nancy.

“LEAN RIGHT! NOW NOW NOW!”

Everyone pushes right as the tank starts tipping over. Even Nancy brings the barrel over to the right to try and save you.

“He’s still in this fight! Close in and start nailing him!”

The E-100 fires, missing but managing to stagger the Churchill. Your tanks minus the KV-85 start rushing at the E-100, firing off your guns which all bounce or fragment off the tanks sizable armor. Your tank Cupid rolls up front and hugs the frontal armor right where the E-100 can’t depress its gun low enough to hit you. Your gun however has enough elevator to hit in the turret face.

“Fire!”

The shot bounces off the sloped mantlet. Well, it was worth a shot.

Meanwhile, the Churchill and Tiger go around the left and right respectively and start laying into the side armor. This time with a lot more success. The Tiger in particular fires a shot into the turret side, which sparks off and gives smoke, but no success.

“Rear, Joanna, get us around!” yells Kate. The Tiger II rolls around the helpless E-100, whose turret apparently is now jammed from all those machine gun rounds pelted into it. The Tiger II stops and points its gun point blank at the rear of the E-100. “And firing!”

The white flag pops up before the Tiger II can fire.

“We’ll delay her until you can get the flag!”

“Great,” you say. “Everyone else, on me, we’re going flag hunting!”

Your tanks realign into a triangular formation and start heading south where the E-100 came from. You peer through the periscope, your eyes haven’t adjusted well thanks to all that gunfire and explosions.

However, you’re given some prayer thanks to the Panzer III firing a shot which bounces right off your turret side.

We got our reelection as well. Not much of a holiday, I know. But it's an important date.
>>
>>30576329
> Boast
Nancy did real well too.
So next up is Chi-ha-tan, then (most likely) Pravda.

But for tomorrow, we got a birthday to celebrate, an election to win, and loyalty missions to accomplish.

I really think we need a break from practice on Tuesday to do the last two.

>>30576451
We need practice, especially for the new crews
>>
>>30576451
We'll see how swamped we are, but if we need to I'm not opposed to cancelling practice.
>>
> Boast

You nod. “Oh, it was nothing if not easy for us Lafayette Girls, Nancy. We came, we saw, we conquered, veni vedi vici or whatever.”

Nancy smiles, leaning back in her seat. “Indeed.” She looks at you, still happy. “Thanks for praying with me the night before.”

You shrug. “I believe in the grace of God, Nancy. It’s nothing special.” With that, Nancy pulls up her blanket and heads off to sleep. You feel Kitten lean on your shoulder, also having fallen asleep, her copy of Magical Girl Liberty on her lap. You take up a blanket then throw it around yourself and her.

Another match out of the way.

Another step closer to saving your school.

> END DAY

That's it for LGA vs. Walter Christie. I will be back tomorrow at 3 PM EST.

Thanks for running boss.

I can't wait how this victory will be spun against us in our reelections. I hate dirty politics.
>>
>>30576567
Thanks for running German, now for tommorow.

Kitten's B-day
Get money from Girl Scouts (Who sold cookies to Perrine)
Give Perrne the Churchill

and that's it?
>>
>>30576451
I hope we don't face Pravda, they're kind of boring. Though nobody else in that bracket has much of an interesting name.

>>30576567
Thank you for running Schteel. Really fun thread today!

How long is Highschool Tankery season? Are the Finals played in the Spring or right before exams?
>>
>>30576643
We have to watch the Chi-Ha-Tan match at some point. It could wait until Monday or whenever, though.
>>
>>30576645
Tournaments take place over a three-four month period. At least from what I can glean considering IIRC the school year for Ooarai started in April and Saori gained her RO authorizations and certifications by August.
>>
>>30576643
Aviators haven't been around the schoolship for about 3 days or so.
Need to make sure the repairs on the planes aren't behind schedule for the demonstration.
>>
>>30576691
Win or lose, will you do an epilogue?

Will we get a Valentines Day special?
>>
>>30576722
There will be an epilogue thread, win or lose which will detail what all the crews and some minor characters do after their stints in LGA.

I might do a proper Valentine's Day special even though it's already past. I'll figure something out.

Christmas special on the other hand is definitely happening.
>>
>>30576701
Oh crap. We may have to step in and lend a hand directly since we took so much time from them.
>>
>>30576691
we had to burn CP like crazy back there, and i bet it'll get worse from here. i hope you have taken that into thought.
>>
>>30576747
Schteel, weird question here. When you run, do you do so mostly stone faced or are you giggling like an idiot? Maybe you wear a light smile the whole time?

Uh, just curious. Your writing in updates and after thread are different in tone, is all.

For reference, we only mined out two teams from the Japanese schools: Saunders (7) and Black Forest (13).

Maginot (5), Anzio (6), Ooarai (8), St. Glorianna (10), and Chi-ha-tan (14), we've already studied at least once.

I think we have plenty of room for CP farming in studying other teams alone.
>>
>>30576747
Why Valentine Day, we don't even have boyfriends.

And watching a bunch of single girls during valentine's day is kind of like a bunch of guys during valentine's day.

depressing and not really nesscary
>>
>>30576903
I'll go through the archives tomorrow to confirm, but fluff bringer brings up a good point. Every match we use more CP then the last but we're still gaining it at the same rate. It'll be even worse going forward when we have to split our time more then we do already, I predict.
>>
>>30576888
I'm mostly stonefaced. When you get into an update, you really get into it.

>>30576915
It'd still be fundamental to cute girls doing cute things. In this case, it's cute girls trying to desperately act cute to get boyfriends and failing miserably.

While being cute.
>>
>>30576915
unless we pull an amazon tribe and raid the nearest group of boys for dates. the hard way. we do have tanks.
>>
>>30576939
thank you for seeing my point. the math is against badly unless the cost of the maneuvers goes down. we burn a fair amount just to keep our team's morale from crashing out!
>>
>>30576945
I just Imagine, Delinquent Team going into Ace's School declaring all the men theirs
>>
>>30576944
Still someone has to be successful though, all to make it worse.
>>
Rolled 5, 6 = 11

>>30576985
Is there some way we could permanently harden our team against moral loss so we don't have to spend so much time rallying them?

Could we appoint a sub-commander/moral officer to cheerlead while we focus on the tactics?
>>
>>30576903
If I recall, we have like 60 teams to study since we mined out

Walter Christie
Black Forest
And Saunders

Our team doesn't Count
>>
Rolled 4, 2 = 6

>>30577029
That, or we need better recon doctrines so we don't get ambushed quite so badly. The hell were we thinking just motoring in tight order down the roads into the dark?
>>
>>30577029
Loyalty will prevent them from frenzying. Other then that, we'll just have to deal with morale loss as it comes. It's too hard to control.

Maybe a new mechanic, something we can reliably do to raise morale wouldn't be too bad an idea. With limits of course, though.
>>
>>30577000
and the rest of man hungry teams and class mates wearing swimsuits and body paint and maybe handcuffs and tazers
>>
>>30577079
We just failed to predict what they'd do. We need to put our heads together seriously for next match, maybe ask for more discussion time too.
>>
>>30577088
Yeah the only reliable way to raise moral right now is reversing moral drops. Raises in moral generally are that big in general either.
>>
>>30577121
I said, that it was the smoke machine

but I was too late and no one noticed
>>
>>30577121
Well that's not exactly true. Perrine was just playing at a higher level than us.

We predicted that she would camp the road and take us apart there hence our plan.

SHE predicted that we would predict that and made an appropriate counter plan.
>>
>>30577107
Naval Studies, Polish, and Girl Scouts are the ones that come to mind.

Bearcat scours through the sky like harpies, while Rifle team uses tranzuilzers
>>
>>30577133
Schteel stopped giving us morale for winning matches and holding parties (I think). Either we need a better way to get CP, a new way to raise morale, or just deal with having less CP then we want for our matches. I don't want the quest to be a cakewalk, but I also want to be able to beat the finals!

>>30577210
Thus us failing to predict what she would do. We need to plan contingencies next time! Account for them accounting for us accounting for them!
>>
>>30577264
That way lies madness.

In any case, we've generally been pretty good in our previous matches with regards to planning. We just got caught out here because of a lack of objectives or strategic locations.
>>
Are there really only, like, six of us? Or is it that a lot of you forget to vote in the archives?
>>
>>30577264
The more complex the plan the more likely it is to fail. We had a simple plan that was flexible and could proactively counter WC's, and we curbstomped them because they went for novelty over capability.
>>
>>30577338
We have a sense of novelty on our tanks as well though.

We have a balence though
>>
>>30577374
we know that schteel hates german armor, so maybe if we get more good old U.S. tanks in our line up, he'll be more favorable to us?
>>
>>30577338
I know, I was trying to be funny.
We should've expected and tried to prepare for them ambushing us, though. Our plan wasn't flexible enough, we didn't think what we'd do to counter if they did what they did.

Good it all worked out in the end.

>>30577423
Pfft, I want more Panzers just to spite him.
>>
>>30577423
>>30577447
Contrary to what you may think, I don't hate German tanks. I try to present tanks as unbiased as possible considering half this Quest is about tanks.

Earlier threads not-withstanding.
>>
>>30577264
>Thus us failing to predict what she would do. We need to plan contingencies next time! Account for them accounting for us accounting for them!
Reminds me of that scene from Princess Bride with the poisoned cups
>>
>>30577461
How long do you stick around usually?
>>
>>30577509
I'm usually up until 11 or 12, I keep the thread open to watch some discussions otherwise.
>>
>>30577423
>/
Well we're planning to get the Firefly and the Jackson Tank Destroyer.

I'm still hoping on getting a Lee, maybe turn it into a Ram tank
>>
Rolled 2, 1 = 3

>>30577506
It just boggles how confident you lot were that they'd be on the road and that you'd second guessed correctly. We have dedicated recon tanks (Suarts) in our arsenal, we need to drill those crews to be our eyes and ears.
>>
>>30577461
After Lafayette finishes its run will we get a college-themed Modern quest?

Daddy needs his FLIR.
>>
>>30577581
I'd rather have a Lafayette sequel where we play as Griselda.
>>
>>30577581
>>30577598

Maybe. LGA's definitely something I want to finish at some point. Sequels are a different story, maybe something with Griselda, maybe something with another school.
>>
>>30577598
I'd rather have a Lafayette sequel where we play as O'Hara and be an angry, awkward lesbian.
>>
>>30577607
Neat.
>>
>>30577607
Anyways, on modern...Challenger 1 MK 2, Leopard 2A6, M1A1, or T-80U?
>>
>>30577851
Whoops, meant 2A4. Silly me, 2A6 is cutting edge.
>>
>>30577851
>>30577876
I'm only really familiar with WW2 tanks I'm afraid.

Since I'm a pleb-tier American, I have go with the Abrams.
>>
>>30577851
Depends. Where are they going to be fighting? What kind of logistics are going to be available? What're the conditions?
>>
>>30577900
I'm still kind of sad we can't recruit O'Hara and O'Brian and put them in a two man tank/

it will be hilariouis

I don't think we developed the TUSK until the M1A2. My money's on the T-80, I think. 2A6s and Challys seem a little large.
>>
>>30577964
I didn't feel like doing more than adding a single line of text, though.

I guess I'll look for an angry looking T-80U.
>>
>>30577960
We could have had that but none of the Anons wanted to wish list it
>>
>>30577988
If it's city fighting, I wouldn't want to be in a T-80, after what the Chechens did to them. Although it could be argued that the crews were green and the combatants were Veterans with Russian training and they were sending tanks into an environment they really shouldn't have been in.

I'd probably take the Challenger I just because it has HESH.
>>
>>30578058
Those were early model T-80s, though, but even the U still retains that unfortunate tendency to...you know...cascading ammunition explosions.
>>
>>30577851
>>30577988
Challenger 1 MK 2 for me.

Because I know nothing about operating a tank, and I'd probably only appreciate the boiling vessel out of its entire package.
I'd also simultaneously insult the Brits by using said device for my coffee.
