This isn't the first time you've faced down monsters on your own before. In the years that you've toiled underneath Kirika's sadistic, unforgiving tutelage - as well as spending half a year of your life directly serving under Kharn, before Murderface came around and ruined EVERYTHING - you've lost count on how many times you've been thrown into Witch Barriers, without any assistance or even the flimsiest shred of hope for backup.

And these Witch Barriers were...serious. Witch Barriers that housed monstrosities bigger, taller, and decidedly more deadly than the iron giant smelling of fire and steel and hate standing in front of you. Each Witch not only seeking to devour you as its prey, hell-bent on consuming you for the temerity of intruding in its abode, as a Magical Girl yet to suffer the same fate as it did - but also swarming with its own host of familiars.

Fledgling Witches, enslaved to the corrupted Magical Girl that birthed them, twisted things that would metamorphose into Witches of their own if left to escape the Nightmare they were imprisoned in and allowed to taste human flesh.

But you killed. Each and every single one of them.
>>
>>30564306

You're not going to say they were easy kills - that would be a disservice to the opponents that they had been, even if they were at that point mindless and only driven with their basic primal drives to feed and survive. No, each kill, each victory, you had to slash and tear and rip and gouge with nothing else but your blades and a single-minded fury that made your vision bleed red.

And when those broke or faded, as they are wont to in long, drawn-out encounters were either party is doing their best NOT to die - you used your bare hands, your teeth, and your desperation to see Kyoko again.

So yes, you're confident. Confident of your chances to see this thing dead, even if your Warmaster and your fellow Eversor are not around to provide support. You're already wondering if it's at all possible to have the thing's head - once you've cut it off - to be shipped back to Mitakihara, as a monument not only to prove that an Eversor of the Ninth destroyed such a thing, but to also ensure that all other Officios who have the temerity of challenging the Officio is sufficiently warned.

...Maybe that was why Kharn collected skulls? It makes sense, after all. Surely it wasn't for some idiotic reason, akin to how a nerd collects action figures or stamps. Something of a hobby, to show off.

Wait, no, that's probably it. You wouldn't even put it past Kharn. Even before her exile, the former Warmaster had had her share of...eccentricities. Even before becoming the Betrayer, she made for a fearsome, if slightly off-kilter Warmaster.

At least she was reliable, though. Not like--

>>
>>30564309

The beast roars its challenge again, snapping you out of your thoughts and back into the present. It stomps both its feet into the plate metal floor, dimpling the steel with dents the size of craters. Even with such a gigantic display of robotic rage, the Shell itself doesn't so much as creak, a testament to the strength of the pillars holding the damn thing over the sea.

At least you won't have to worry about the damn place coming to pieces as you're killing, you think as you beckon the monstrous iron form closer with one hand. Drowning would be a singularly ignoble way to die, especially for an Eversor.

The beast shrieks at your taunt, and with a thunderous approach, starts to charge at you, its arrowhead-like skull held low. Seeking to crush you in the momentous impact of its staggering charge. At the same time, gun turrets on its shoulders and knees start to cycle up and spit fire at you - rounds that you easily bat away with a flick of Blueberry Cheesecake Brownie's blade.

So, how do you do this? How do you go about turning this machine of the Sixteenth into nothing more than component parts?

[]Do it defensively. Evasive maneuvers to every offensive move it makes, while flinging blades at its gun emplacements and crucial machinery.
[]Do it aggressively. Match this metal monster's moves, strike by strike, blow by blow. No one sends a giant walking fax machine at the Ninth and expect it to survive the hour.

Kharn was, in many ways, the perfect Warmaster.

It's been implied that Chiaki is only in the job because Mami put her there, and it's certainly not where she'd choose to be.

I'm betting she's got more than one employee review with the words "Not a team player" written on it.

You decide to be aggressive. No one sends a giant walking fax machine at the Ninth - at YOU - and expect it to survive the hour. Frankly, you're insulted that the Sixteenth thought that a Magical Girl - a properly-trained one, at least - would be taken out by something that has more in common with a coffee maker than an actual security measure. And you will pay them back for that insult.

Leaning forward, one foot in front and the other stretched out behind you - both your hands briefly touching the cold, metal floor - you briefly tense your entire frame into a runner's stance, preparing to send yourself hurtling towards the approaching beast. Its gun turrets continue to clatter loudly, spitting fire and brimstone at your direction, and you pay them no heed as they spark and crash all around you. Some of these shots are lucky enough to graze, causing minor flesh wounds and rents that close themselves almost as fast as they're inflicted. Barely even worth your notice, or even a reaction.

The moment that the metal monster takes another step towards you is the moment that you move. You grit your teeth against the momentary burst of pain as you kick off of the floor in a burst of raw magic and strength, sending yourself not only hurtling towards the creature but also right into a collision course with its pronged maw.

And at the very last split-second before you meet - before you end up as an unsightly, bloody smear up on the thing's facial armor - you slam Blueberry Cheesecake Brownie back into its sheath, tense your entire frame for the oncoming impact, and then you pull the trigger.

It's always an...ordeal, whenever you used Amber Nakajima's gift to you in conjunction with the firing mechanism welded onto its sheath.

[1/2]
>>
Did... did the summon work?
>>
>>30565336

Not only do you have to worry about keeping the timing absolutely perfect - a solitary moment's distraction could tear your arm off or, in the worst case scenario, send the blade itself rocketing towards God knows where - you also had to worry about the fact that an unsurpressed, point-blank muzzle flash was exploding right in your face. You had to either look away or blink at the very moment it turned the entire world into a explosion of heat and light. Do it too early and you risked missing your target entirely, and doing it too late would blind you long enough for your enemy - if they survived - to cut apart the bumbling idiot in front of them.

This time, however, against a monster as tall as a fucking building - you execute it flawlessly. Impeccably. A perfect execution of the attack that, when you heard of it the first time, you considered completely and utterly fucking insane. Par for the course with American inventions, sure, but still really mad.

The explosion-propelled sword strike cutting - no, SMASHING against its face rocks the beast where it stands. Its charge cut off as its massive, streamlined skull lolls on its corded neck, drunkenly, before shaking briefly as if to clear the cobwebs. You fall to the ground before it, landing upright on both feet as it screams again - the monster now sporting a large, sparking gash where its eye and half of its face had been. Haemolubricant and oil sparking from its wound.

"Boring." You drawl this out, inadvertently borrowing your former tutor's expression when she found sparring to not be as exciting as she was expecting. "Come on - show me a good time, you walking piece of shit!"

The monster roars again, louder, harsher, angrier, as if having comprehended your adding insult to its injury - and one of its wings unfold to reveal what looks like a blade. A tempered blade as long as its muscular tail slashing from behind it, crackling with the same killing energy that your own crimson sword would once you primed it.

...Right. This is starting to be more like it.

Its guns continuing to spit rounds at your direction - shots you continue to almost lazily deflect away with your own sword, or simply step aside to avoid - the beast twists its torso to smash its blade down at you, in a massive overhead cleave. The oncoming blade large enough to block out all light from the overhead fluorescent lighting, like a building toppling over to crush you.

Bracing yourself with both feet, you swing Blueberry Cheesecake Brownie in the very same moment - and the crash of your own sword clashing with a gigantic one is loud enough to smash all the glass windows in the entire strut. You feel something in your knees click as the robot leans its entire weight into the blow - but you grit your teeth as you refuse, absolutely refuse to give even an inch of ground. The contact between your blades sparking with killing electricity and grinding friction, the overlapping power fields protesting.

Just as you make to power through the stalemate and push back against the blade - it's hear that you see a hatch open from the machine's skull. You narrow your eyes as four feline forms, black and spiked and armored, sprout from the hatch before leaping down onto the floor. Their leonine heads glowing with a single crimson eye each.

They stalk closer, and it's here that you see their size - easily bigger than a jungle cat, their synthetic muscles bulging underneath armor plating. Their tales, mere prehensile cabling with tendrils at the tip, unfurl and grasp at what looks like wide-bladed chainsaws attached to their backs. Pulling them free and waving them about, the chainsaw teeth sparking as they whir into angry life.

[ GREETINGS, MAGICAL GIRL. ] One of them barks in a digitized voice. [ WE ARE HERE IN SUPPORT OF RAY. SURRENDER OR BE DESTROYED. ]

You glare at the pack of newcomers slinking towards you, their chainblades roaring into life, a curious mechanical equivalent of a predatory snarl - and it's here that you break from your stalemate with RAY, pushing back and then kicking off from the floor to land a few meters away. Giving yourself a bit of breathing space not only from the tall, gigantic monster but also from its pet robot cats closing in.

"Figured there was a catch like this somewhere." You grumble as you shove the crimson length of Blueberry Cheesecake Brownie back into its sheath, your off-hand stroking the trigger while your free hand dives into your Inventory. You glance back at RAY as the beast seems to step back as well, the ruined half of its face still sparking. "It's really not my style to do something like this, but hey - if you've got friends of your own, I've got mine, too."

With a bit more rummaging, you manage to fish out the watch that Chiaki gave you, just before this entire operation went ass-upwards. You know that this is supposed to be the thing that calls in Misaka's huge robot thing - Tiny Pete, or whatever its stupid name is - but just HOW it did it, you're not too sure. You only remember Chiaki telling you how to use it - and she wasn't really all that specific with that kind of thing.

Eh, well. You're not REALLY well and truly fucked, not right now - but you do know a dangerous situation when you're in one.

You press down hard on the watch's face, hard enough to nearly break the fiberglass - and something clicks and beeps inside the device. You blink as you watch the timepiece's face disappear in a smattering of static, replaced with a superdeformed graphic of Misaka's beaming face, both hands punching the air and flashing thumbs-ups in looping, jerky encouragement.

...Is that it? That can't possibly be--

"DEEP STRIKE INITIALIZED!" The device chirps. "TINY PETE INCOMING!"

...Oh.

An explosion of white light - and a blast of flattening, concussive sound - and you cover both your ears as SOMETHING happens in front of you, something that the stalking hostiles and even RAY flinches visibly from. Once the light itself had faded and your ears had stopped ringing, you blink to look at...well, yet another robot monstrosity in front of you. But this time, it's YOUR robot monstrosity, arriving in all of its spiked, menacing, towering glory. A blocky, double-barreled firearm in one of its armored fists, the other occupied by a tall warhammer with its rectangular maul-end sparking with killing energy.

Tiny Pete. Misaka's ill-named robot pal. You made her a stuffed version of him months earlier. It was easy enough to make, what with his chunky armor and all, but embroidering every single bronze detail on his armor was just pure frustration.

[REPORTING FOR REINFORCEMENTS, SEARGENT BLUEBERRY.] The giant intones from the speakers within its tusked helm as it turns to face you. [AWAITING ORDERS.]

Orders? You blink up at it, briefly frowning at the nickname that Misaka's apparently made it call you. You've...you've never really had to command it before, so--

[NEW TARGET IDENTIFIED] The robot cats chirp and screech as they stalk forward again, their attention now centered on Tiny Pete. One of them, looking for a quick kill, lunges forward with its claws out - but your new friend isn't taking it, apparently.

[2/3]
>>
>>30566306

With a startling speed that should have been impossible for someone so encumbered with so much armor, the terminator smashes the robot cat back with an almost casual swing of its hammer. The head crunches into the robot predator's midsection, and there's a loud snap-release of energy as the lightning wrapping the hammer bursts out, flinging the attacker away and smashing it against a far wall. It gets up a few moments later, one of its legs limping slightly, but still capable of hunting.

[AWAITING ORDERS] Tiny Pete intones again, turning back to you as if nothing had happened. As if it hadn't just slapped down a giant robot cat with the effortlessness of someone slapping down an insect.

What are your orders for Tiny Pete?

[]Keep them off my back while I kill the big one.
[]Distract RAY while I finish these off. Try not to get stomped flat.

You tell Tiny Pete his orders - which, of course, is to keep off the robot cats off your back while you kill RAY, the big one with half a face left. Tiny Pete nods at this, reaching down to mag-lock his gun onto his thigh armor before taking up his hammer in both hands. Turning back to face the squad of growling, skulking robotic predators.

[ORDERS RECEIVED.] the armored giant growls through the snout of his tusked helm. [ENGAGING.]

He lowers his massively-pauldroned shoulder as he charges into the group, bashing his way into the melee and laying about with his hammer, each impact a bassy, crackling explosion of light and pressure that spoke of breaking armor and tearing synthetic muscle.

...Well. Loathe as you were to call on backup so early, he's actually doing a pretty good job.

You move to re-engage RAY, making to leave the four drones behind in Tiny Pete's care - when one of them tries to lunge at you, to stop you in your tracks. The summoned Terminator seems to have other plans, however, as it grabs your would-be attacker by its chainsaw-tipped tail and whips it hard into the floor, before stomping on its spine with a massive boot.

Very good. Maybe...maybe you should ask Misaka if she could make you one, too? Not that you really needed one, of course, but it'd be convenient, at least.

You shake your head free of distractions and continue moving, back towards Ray - the monster stepping forward once more to rise to your challenge. Its halved face seems to have stopped sparking and leaking fluid, instead harboring what appears to be small, ball-like shapes crawling on its revealed skeleton and...fixing it? It's trying to fix itself?

Character (and best girl) from "Danganronpa: Academy of Hope and High School Students of Despair". It's a murder mystery visual novel for the PSP. Got an anime last year and it was shit.
The game has a pretty good fan translation and most agree that it's preferable to the upcoming official localization.
>>
>>30566900

That's new, at least, you think to yourself as you start to dodge the hail of bullets once more raining down on you from RAY's shoulder turrets. One of the rounds spat towards you gets a lucky hit, burying itself into your shoulder and then tearing its way out with a liquid crack of flesh and bone and blood.

You don't even so much as look as the grievous wound - which would have reduced anyone non-magical into a curling, sobbing wreck - start to close and heal, your regeneration abilities kicking into gear automatically. A more perfect, efficient mimicry of the clumsy repair process RAY is doing to its face that you ruined.

Hnh. Might as well get rid of those gun turrets first, right? They're going to be much more annoying if you let this drag on any further. Then again, that sword-wing thing it has isn't something to sneeze at, either...

You hop lightly out of the way as RAY once more smashes its sword-wing down on the spot where you'd just been a few heartbeats ago, caving in that part of the floor where its wing-blade crashed right into.

What do you do, now?

[]Go for its turrets. Reduce its long-range capability.
[]Go for its sword wing. It's the bigger threat here.
[]Go for its legs. Something that big will be a sitting duck if you take away its mobility.

The turrets, you decide. The turrets have to die first.

Slapping away three rounds that would've blown your brain out the back of your skull with Blueberry Cheesecake Brownie's crimson length, you dash and slide underneath another one of RAY's massive, clumsy swings with its gigantic blade.

As soon as you clear the blade itself, you twist, switching your hold on your blade to a reverse stabbing grip before driving it completely into the beast's appendage. RAY shrieks at this, seemingly in pain - as if machines could feel pain - and it flails its pierced wing, with you still holding on to your sword. A moment more, and Blueberry Cheesecake Brownie dislodges from its reluctant sheathe, the momentum sending you hurtling up to the ceiling.

You take the moment before freefall to enjoy a moment's worth of tranquility - before shoving Blueberry Cheesecake Brownie back into its sheath, priming the trigger, and then adjusting your angle of fall just enough so that--

BANG.

Another blinding flash, another concussive explosion - and the gun turret on RAY's right shoulder EXPLODES into razor-sharp ribbons, each one still glowing white-hot from the flash-friction of being cut so quickly and so deeply. You immediately resheathe your sword and fling yourself towards the other one, murdering that one too in a thunderclap of deafening gunfire and destroyed machinery. The wreckage of both turrets pathetically crash to the floor in a defeated heap, a stark contrast to your own silent descent.

The destruction of its turrets seem to stagger RAY, but only for a brief moment - you turn around, sword held en garde, as you watch its other eye blaze a hellish crimson before it rears its head back and SCREAMS. This time loud enough to make even the allies it vomited out of its skull whine and cower. Another scream, before it charges you again - a faster, more frenzied berserker charge. Faster than it has ever moved the entire time.

Faster than - and you realize this with a cold, sudden clarity - you.

With the pain-maddened, half-ruined monster bearing down on you to crush you where you stand, you only have a few options to work with.

And in this deafening din, of the symphony of your own approaching death - you hear what sounds like a soft violin, playing a mournful, twisting tune. Each chord riddled with jarring transitions made to resemble the sound of someone tearfully sobbing in rage, in fear, and in resigned hollow regret.

>[x]Stand. Brace. Parry the fucker.
>>
>>30568178
What makes you say that?
>>
>>30568178
Sayaka got into this situation because of our choices. If we'd gone after the legs instead of the turrets, we wouldn't have this problem.
>>
>>30567889

[X]Stand. Brace. Parry the fucker.
>>
>>30568157
I was just curious
>>
>>30568201
Honestly, unless we stopped moving, the bullets were the least of our problems. Swording it in the legs likely would have slowed it down a bit if not incapped it (that heavy armour)

Which would have made getting it dead a fair bit easier.
>>
>>30568201

Yeah, Sayaka was shown to be able to parry the bullets and dodge what she couldn't parry.

That's assuming that the machine didn't have a siege mode or something, though.
>>
>>30568255
It had the plasma beam or whatever, but that's probably not gonna come from the turrets.
>>
>>30568270

that one is straight from that mouth.

>>
>>30568188
>>30568201
Sayaka witches out in every timeline which Pinky confirmed it would happen again. Plus Risa already stated she was close to witching out. So it's pretty much a given that Sayaka is going to witch out this mission, we just get to choose how she does so.
>>
>>30568270
The plasma beam comes from the mouth. The mouth that we carved in half and is still attempting to repair.

So can we please think a little harder about our choices the next time?
>>
>>30568381

There's always a couple of you whiners for anything. Just sit back and enjoy the quest for fuck's sake. We're not dead yet. When we die, THEN you can complain.
>>
>sayaka close to witching out
remind me again what grief seeds do when you tap them against your soul gem
>>
>>30568443
uhh draw the corruption into themselves
>>
>>30568443
Except we don't have Grief Seeds with us. And for it to work we need to cleanse the Soul Gem before we Witch out, which is hard in the middle of a fight.
>>
>>30568443

Think she has time to do that in combat? Maybe, but I bet it's easy to lose track of that kind of thing in the heat of battle.
>>
They draw the GRIEF into themselves, probably why they're called Grief Seeds.
And Sayaka's not sad, she's having the time of her life. If she witches out, it'll be to become stronger.
Grief Seed wouldn't do shit.
>>
>>30568526
>If she witches out, it'll be to become stronger.

That's... that's not how it works. I'm against the whining babbies, but that's still retarded.
>>
>>30568526

Using magic accumulates grief.
>>
>>30568501
>>30568498
I mean I'm pretty sure we took care of this before the mission started. How the hell can she accumulate enough corruption to witch out just like that in less than an hour without really using much of her powers?
>>
>>30568526
Why would she willingly witch out?

For that matter, why is she so close to witching out anyway? Presumably her soulgem was purified before she left, and its not like she has yet to use huge amounts of power or anything. Nor is she in despair.

I guess if she got really brutally injured (think sliced in two pieces or something, her healing factor would go to overdrive trying to fix it, and would drain her soulgem dry).

Pity Chiaki is not here. Maybe her soulgem CAN work as a griefseed now and that could have saved Sayaka.
>>
>>30568562
Because Urobutchi explained that the rate at which Grief accumulates is not constant, and a clean Soul Gem can instantly Witch out if the Magical Girl experiences something traumatic OR uses up a lot of magic very quickly.
And Sayaka has been using a lot of magic in this fight to increase her speed as well as regeneration.
>>
>>30568598
>Why would she willingly witch out?
BECAUSE PEOPLE VOTED FOR IT
>>
>>30568598
Cause we're a bunch of chucklefucks and directed her to listen to the violins. That's a clear sign of Ocktavia.
In universe, it'd probably be less willing and more stupid on Sayaka's part (Hurr durr, fightin a robot, let's listen to mind music), but it wouldn't be a sudden grief induced witching out.
>>
>>30568607
If this counts as "a lot of magic" then she's weaker than we gave her credit for being.
>>
>>30568498
She's the Equerry of the Ninth. There's no way Sayaka doesnt have at least a couple on hand at all times.
>>
>>30568643
This is also a good point, you would expect high ranking people to have atleast 1 emergency grief seed hidden away somewhere in case something unexpected happens.

Would actually be kinda stupid if thats not true. Ofcourse the question is, how could she use one with a crazy robot gunning for her.
>>
>>30568694
Hold L2 and use it from her inventory, duh.
>>
Did everyone suddenly forget that Sayaka and Kyoko were in the middle of a fight when this mission started? It would be nice if she was a cold hard perfect professional, but that simply is not Sayaka.
>>
>>30568640
You're forgetting the part where she watched a sniper blow her girlfriend's arm and leg off. Pretty sure she nearly witched out there.
>>
>>30568640
Are you forgetting that the Soul Gem is also clouded by emotions, such as the negative emotions incurred by watching your girlfriend get her arm and leg blown off by a sniper rifle in front of you?
It's not like Sayaka came into this fight with a 100% clean Soul Gem.

Or did you conveniently forget that part?
>>
>>30568634
We didn't, though. By my count:
>Music: 9 in favor
>Stand and parry: 13 in favor (14 if you count stand and counterattack as a variation)
That's half again as many votes.
>>

I only count 4 for Music.
>>
>>30568925
Count the "RULES OF NATURE!!!!" posts for witching out.
>>
>>30568925

Hard to tell what those RULES OF NATURE posts want. Do they want the octavia music or to act like this is sitlll MGS and counter?
>>
>>30568944
Why?
>>
>>30568925
I'm assuming that "Rules of Nature" refers to listening to the music.
>>
>>30568944
But that's a different choice altogether. Regardless of the one vote, they're not the same thing.
>>
>>30568377
>Sayaka witches out in every timeline which Pinky confirmed it would happen again
>believing Pinky
Plus even if she's telling the truth that doesn't mean you give up.
>>
>>30568852
And thank god we didn't.
I meant that if she witched out by listening to the violins, it would've been our fault.
>>
>>30568951
I wanted to counter, so I probably should have put that.
>>
>>30568742
But presumably she cleansed the corruption from that before? And I doubt simple fights among couples would cause THAT much corruption. Not unless it really serious, as in end-of-relationship serious.

Seeing Kyoko lose her limbs however would probably do it. Kinda forgot about that. Theres probably also the fear of how Kyoko is doing right now. Sayaka has no idea that Chiakis crazy plan worked afterall.
>>
actually, the 'Rules of nature' posts fit more with parrying if you take Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance gameplay.
>>
>>30568925
Well, what are the Rules of Nature votes for?
Fight while listening to the music? Because that's the immediate idea when there's music already playing during the fight.
If people didn't want to listen to the music while fighting, they shouldn't have chosen the option with the name of a song while there's a song already playing.
>>
If Sayaka wishes out does that mean we can have sex with Kyouko? We should ask her this.

Magical girls can retire in this world, because for some unknown (and probably mindcrushingly horrible) reason there is a significant surplus of grief seeds.

I may remember wrong, but Kharn spoke of retiring after Malal died and claimed he would be getting 1 grief seed a month for the rest of his life, free of charge.

The incubators are probably doing what canon Kyoko did, on a large scale. Feeding homeless and sick and such to familiars, then killing the witch for the seed.

No! No...no fucking violin music! You don't hear anything!

You grit your teeth, shaking your head as you give voice to that denial - before tearing out Blueberry Cheesecake Brownie from its sheath and propping it across your body with both hands. Bracing yourself from the monstrous, organ-liquefying impact of a giant robot monster barreling down at you at full, suicidal speed.

YOU QUIT VIOLIN A LONG FUCKING TIME AGO! YOU'RE INTO IDOLS NOW!

And in the space of two heartbeats - your quickened own - RAY finally slams into you, into your guard, its massive yet ruined skull forming the very tip of the titanic battering ram that it's forced itself to be. The entire strut - no, the shell itself - doesn't just shake, it literally quakes with the force of the collision, threatening to rip apart.

The impact itself almost knocks you out cold - but for some reason, you stay conscious. Conscious, and fucking angry. Angry enough that your fingers are digging into the blade you're holding back a twenty-ton monster with. Angry enough that your heels are digging into the metal plated floor, creating jagged furrows with every inch you get pushed back. Angry enough to continue screaming your hate through blood-pinked teeth.

RAY, however, is not so lucky. Already punch-drunk from the abuse you've heaped into it, your parrying of its berserker charge has the effect of it running full-speed, face-first, into a blue-haired immovable object - and its other eye explodes in the ruinous impact, the front of its saurian skull caving in. The giant machine teeters, tottering on unsteady legs - before finally pitching backwards in an almost exaggerated fall.

Despite yourself - despite your entire body screaming for rest - you couldn't help but blink at this. Did you just...did you just kill something by parrying it?

Before you can ponder on this any longer, however, the section of the Core's floor that RAY collapses into seems unable to bear its weight any longer, giving way in a sudden and startling screech of tortured steel. The limp, lifeless RAY slides off of the collapsed core section, plummetting downwards before crashing into the waves. It sinks all too quickly, the blackness taking it.

...Well. You guess you did. That's...that's something.

You glance towards Tiny Pete, tiredly sheathing your sword. He's actually making sport of the last one now, its squadmates lying in assorted states of disassembly around it, some torn apart, others crushed into mangled ruin. The third one only has a broken hind leg - broken by way of Tiny Pete taking hold of it and tearing it off - but even then, it's still trying to kill the Terminator gamely, like a frustrated, pissed-off cat with its claws out.

You shake your head at this, and make to shout at Tiny Pete to stop fucking around - when an all-too-familiar voice, yet one you had hoped never to hear again, whispers in your ear. The sickeningly-sweet smell of corruption filling your nostrils, overpowering the briny scent of the sea.

"Why didn't you listen to the music, Sayaka-chan?" The pink-haired girl with the sharklike black eyes giggles at you. "Don't you just want to finally get it over with?"

How do you respond?

You're very warm! But no, it wouldn't have made her Witch out entirely.

are >>30570013 and >>30570006 true? Do magical girls really taste like marshmallows?
>>
>>30570263

They're true, yes! And Magical Girls taste like pork, not marshmallows. Incubators taste like marshmallows!
>>
>>30569968
>Lily, whose entire power set revolves around cannibalizing Magical Girls, isn't completely insane!
Well yeah but everyone around her is, it's why they're the Rabbits to their Warmaster's Alice. And she's a sociopath anyway, everyone who kills people remorselessly is.
>>
>>30570314
So pretty much all the magical girls are?
>>
>>30570280
>And Magical Girls taste like pork

Long pork?
>>
>>30570328
Surely. Would you say they're not, with a straight face? The only one who falls out of the scematic is Midori, who nearly went insane with grief over what she was about to enable anyway. That's what indicates a good person.
>>
>>30570328
>All magical girls kill people remorselessly

But that's wrong.
>>
>>30570328

Pretty much all magical girls in MGNQ are. Can't very well last long in the assassination business if you don't learn to let certain things slide, yeah?

Good day everyone!
Sometime in the future I will be starting a spinoff quest featuring a retiring Culexus of The Eighth. It will be a tale of violence and horror! And maybe redemption but probably not!

The protagonist is CAVEFISH, a magic-hunter formerly tasked with the extermination of runaways and the witches they turned into. After two brutal years of fighting for her Officio, she's about to learn that "retirement" can be an ominous euphamism!

I apologize for how vague that sounds. Everything else is first-thread spoilers. Please positively anticipate!
>>
>>30570362
I can't think of one that has an awful lot of second thoughts
>>
>>30569812
thanks for running!

>no hardsuit

Wot?
>>
>>30570555
Keeps her powers contained through the power of dem abs.
>>
>>30570499

is it even possible for a teenage girl to even get that buff?
>>
>>30570590
Not without steroids. But "MAGIC BITCH" is the given explanation anyway.
>>
>>30570590
Must have followed Saitama's workout schedule.
>>
>>30570555
It takes place in the past, when mass-manufacture prototype hardsuits are just making their way overseas to other Officios. Life was arguably harder for them then, as lack of limiters made them unable to properly focus their powers, as well as an insufferable presence to their non-Culexus comrades.
>>

Every. Single. Day.
>>
Decu-chan has finally gone to sleep so there won't be any more questions answered, quite sadly.

Thank you so much for reading and being a part of MGNQ, everyone! Have a nice day!

>>
>>30567818
If you don't mind another small critique. I would move the right (our right, midori's left) bunny ear just a bit more to the right of the picture, so that it goes past the point where the headband becomes hidden by her head. Right now it looks like it doesn't actually attach to the headband.
>>
>>30570688
How would that even work
>>
>>30570680
As I've said, steroids. Usually girls just approach the "toned" point or exceed it somewhat. once you start going towards the Schwarzenegger frame but don't have a Y chromosome I'm pretty certain you're injecting something you're not supposed to inject. I wouldn't put it past incubators to put something like that on the training plan, it's not like the meguca have a life expectancy longer than two years anyway.
>>
>>30570688

Err... No. Neco's my friend and that just sounds really weird

>>30570700

I'll have to go back and look which ones I promised to do because I forgot! But more variety would certainly be nice.

>>30570727

I'll tryyyyyyy!!
>>

Delicious self-cest.
>>
>>30570772
Get a picture of Arcureid molesting herself and you'll have it.
>>
>>30570746

There are some hormonal imbalances that can cause ridiculous muscle growth as well. Myostatin deficiency or something.

Pretty rare, though. I remember seeing something in a documentary many years ago about some seven-year-old German kid who had it, and could bench, like, a hundred and twenty kilos.
>>
>>30570756
Looks like the list was:

>Strauss (talk to Archival), Kharn (maybe), Amber, Ruri (maybe), Fran, Kumatora, and Yuu (maybe)
>>

I'll write this down. Thanks!
>>

I hope she's not in Golden Weapon, there'd be too much personality overlap with Risa.

But I can totally see her as Equerry / Eversor Rank Leader of the 16th.
