The last thing you remember is finding out that your family is broken. The first thing you remember is confronting a queen on her throne.

Your name is Alice, a prototype assassination/infiltration android built by a corporation you suspect to be the US-based Armstrong Technologies, rivals to the might African-based Jata Technologies.

You have just come from an emotionally harrowing experience as your beloved Papa is really a maniac and your mother, who you once viewed with a small amount of dislike because of Papa's influence, actually deeply cared for you. After finding comfort in the warm embrace of your currently unaware true love, Ian Carter, you went out into the night, ready for a fight, to meet Rat, a young girl you convinced to become an informant for you.

Turns out, Rat caught someone's attention, and your meeting with Rat has now turned into a meeting with a woman calling herself the 'Red Queen'.

But she has information on your mother, who apparently survived some kind of insurance policy your Papa installed into you.

One that made you try to kill her and damaged your memories.

"Tell me everything," you state coldly while taking a seat, "and you had better not be lying."

The Red Queen smirks.

1d100 for general voting, best roll out of five is chosen.

Combat is 1d100 with modifiers for how many shots you fire in combat. Best out of three roll is chosen.

Body armour subtracts from total damage done per attack.

Takedowns and Executions are 1d100-20 and a short paragraph describing the Takedown or Execution. Best out of three rolls is chosen, but I will pick which action description looks the best to me.

Reactor Charges are your healing mechanic. Expend a Reactor charge and roll 12d6. Reactor Charges stack, and are regained through Takedowns and Executions.

Stability is a measure of your Yandere psychological state. If you lose a certain amount, known as the Snap Limit, you Snap and enter a state of emotional hysteria and brief psychosis. Lose all your Stability, and you go Berserk, and will perform a violent action, often against your love interest.

Relationship is how strong your relationship with Ian Carter is. You have to keep your relationship as high as possible. If you drive the relationship down into negative numbers, Ian will reject you, and you will proceed to murder him and commit suicide.

Good luck.

Does it have to be in one blow, or is it additive?

"Heh, you really don't know who I am, do you?" She questions, lighting a cigarette before letting it hand loosely between her lips, "Because if you did, you wouldn't be talking to me like that."

"I'll take how I fucking like to you." You snap back, "You want respect? Tell me what I want to know about the crash survivors."

The Red Queen maintains that same smirk, "All right, I can get behind that line of thinking." She takes a puff.

"About a week ago, a little bird in the Kanzaki Pacific Holding's Spire tells me that a cargo is coming in on one of the MegaCon's Hayabusa Assault Cargo Helicopters." She leans forward, while Rat shifts slightly, clearly uncomfortable being next to the woman and you know why, this isn't some normal woman either. Like Rebecca, this woman is a Battlefield Generation.

"So I get some spotters ready while my little bird finds out the cargo manifest." She exhales a small stream of smoke, "Turns out that while KPH knows the helicopter is coming, they kept damn quiet about the contents, which makes me curious."

She giggles, "Next thing we know, barely an hour later an NTT-90 painted up like an Auburn Trans-Oceanic aircraft comes screaming over the Sea Wall like a bat out of hell, right over the slums."

Waking up inside a container, Mom's face looking down on me with a teary-eyed smile.

"Then, it suddenly jerks to the side and starts going all over the place."

You pull the UGV's pistol out of it's holster and aim at her head. A fist comes out of nowhere and throws you against the wall.

"Then. Boom. The entire right side just shreds itself in an explosion."

The UGV slams an anti-tank grenade into your chest, it detonates just as you tear it off, destroying the side and your left forearm.

You look down at your left hand for some reason as the Red Queen continues, "One of my spotters, after that, swears he saw something fall out and cling to the side."

Technically it's both, but I prefer using additive.
>>
You frown, "Firing on what?" Your head hurts for some reason, but your diagnostics aren't telling you the cause.

Holding on to the side of the helicopter, a P-90-5 is aimed at you. The UGV opens fire.

The Red Queen shrugs, "No idea, but after it empties three magazines into whatever was holding on, it falls off and the helicopter goes down."

Your head still hurting for some reason, you press forward with your questions, "Did they see who survived?"

The Red Queen's smile doesn't so much as twitch, "Yep. Three women, two men and eight KPH UGV's walked out. The humans had injuries, but they weren't from a helicopter crash, not all of them anyway."

She stares you right in the eyes, "Scavengers moved in, but they don't bother crash-site victims, especially not ones with UGV escorts. They remain at the crash site for nine hours, and a KPH helicopter comes and picks them up. But here's the interesting thing..."

She takes a deep puff of smoke and exhales it slowly, "One of the women goes over to some kind of mangled body that landed near the crash site, and hauls it off down a nearby alleyway..."

You'll be safe from them here.

"...and throws it onto a pile of garbage, where no-one will find it for days." You state numbly as the realisation comes to you, "A week, in fact."

The Red Queen frowns for the first time in the meeting, "Wait a minute. That was far too specific." Her eyes widen slightly, "Holy shit. You're the thing that fell off the helicopter, aren't you?"

There's no point denying it, "My name is Alice, and I'm looking for those people."

The Red Queen's frown remains for several seconds, before it curls back into her, what suspect to be typical, smirk, "Well now, you didn't say anything about that, Rat."

Rat is wide-eyed, "I didn't know! She never told me!"

The Red Queen snorts, "Who would believe her, especially since the body was missing both arms."

(Cont.)
>>
What?

"It doesn't matter if you think I'm the one that fell out of the helicopter. I just need to know where those men and women went." You reply, dodging the implied question in the Red Queen's words.

She smiles at you, "Oh no, I like to get some compensation for telling stories."

"Not much of a story," you spit back, "do you know or not?"

The Red Queen's smile only widens, "I do. A little bird, remember? I can find that out easy, but like I said, I want compensation."

It takes shutting down several emotional mimicry systems to avoid a feral snarl.

Tactical systems cross-reference your libraries and come to a conclusion. Cooperate, for now. She will be expecting you to turn on her, but it is advantageous for you and her to work together.

You slowly and visibly clench and unclench your fists, "What do you want?"

The Red Queen smiles, "I have a job coming up, and for that job I'm assembling a group of skill teens to get it done."

"Teenagers? Like me?" You have a feeling you know what's coming.

"Yes, like you. Because you see, these days, the kids are more savvy at getting into places they're not supposed to be. Technology is progressing, and soon I think we'll all be living in William Gibson's world."

"The so-called 'Cyberpunk Renaissance'," You state, "I've heard of it."

"Well, regardless of the truth or not, I need some prepwork done and part of that prepwork is scoping out the target, and getting the extraction ready. Which is where you come in."

She indicates Rat, "Little Rat here has a mother in jail await transfer to some Russian gulag like Black Dolphin or Red Hyena. I want you to get her mother out of there."

"Why?" You ask and Red Queen smiles.

"Because she's the best damn pilot you'll ever meet. Get her out, and deal with the one who double-crossed me to put her in there in the first place."

-"What's in it for me?"
-"Fine, I'll do it."
-"Fuck you."

Red Queen smiles, "Money, for one thing. Actual information for another. In fact..." She places a small folder on the table between the two of you and slides it over.

You open it to find a picture of Pa-Father, staring up at you, "For some reason, a certain Doctor in Armstrong Technologies, Nathaniel Eglan has been making a lot of noise about finding a certain group of people. People who survived a helicopter crash and who you happen to be looking for."

You hate that smug smile so much...

"I know that Kanzaki has transferred those people to another facility. Get me my pilot, and if you don't turn on me, I can get you a flight to where they are."

She leans back, "Plus, you get the nice, fuzzy feeling of helping a little girl get her mother back. And how can you say no to such a cute little thing?" A hand is placed on Rat and your kinesics pick up a long-practised suppression of an urge to flinch.

"The money?" You ask simply and Red Queen tilts her head, smile still in place.

"Three thousand for my pilot back, another two thousand if you kill the traitor. You'll find them both in New City. Here's a picture and address." She flips a photo over to you. Flipping it over reveals an address in New City.

The Red Queen nods, "Deal." She leans back, "You'll find my pilot in the New City's Detention Transfer Facility. It's not a high-security fortress like The Pit, but it will be guarded."

She makes a dismissive motion, "Rat will show you a way to get close to the facility without setting off the perimeter systems. The rest will be up to you."

You nod curtly and follow Rat out of the VIP area and out a back door. After a few minutes, she speaks up, "Sorry about that. I tried really hard, I did, but she's just as scary as the Moord Nag and The Rattlesnake."

"The Battlefield Generation typically are." You state, "The price we have to pay for the Chaos Twenty."

Rat nods, "My mom won't be transferred for at least two days, but Red Queen is getting impatient, this job she has planned, it's big, bigger than anything she's ever done since coming to The City."

"Is that right?" You ask, curious despite your best efforts, as Rat nods.

"Mmhmm, big jobs are typically the Moord Nag's thing, because she's the most powerful of the bosses in The City since The Rattlesnake vanished."

You frown slightly, then your eyes widen as your libraries tell you something disturbing, "The Rattlesnake...that wouldn't happen to be the commander of the French 609th 'Diamondback' Chemical Warfare Battalion would it?"

Rat nods, "Yeah, that's the one! No-one ever saw the Rattlesnake's face though, they came in and took over all of the organised crime in the City alongside the Moord Nag. Then one day, the Rattlesnake vanished and their territory was split up amongst the smaller gangs."

What the hell kind of city was this that there were Battlefield Generation running organised crime?

You push that aside for now, right now you have to dance to the Red Queen's tune. But what to do first?

"Let's go find your mother." You state seriously and immediately Rat gives you a tight hug, babbling 'thank you' at a rapid pace, before she releases you with a cute blush.

"Um, it's this way." She immediately scampers off and you run after her, easily keeping pace since your artificial muscles don't have to worry about something as meaningless as lactic acid build-up.

After several minutes of running through the alleyways, avoiding several Old City police patrols, and ducking past cameras, Rat leads you to sewage trench, "Here, it's the fastest route, all you have to do is go left at the intersection and keep going straight until you reach a service ladder."

"You're not coming with me?" You ask curiously, and Rat shakes her head.

"I have other jobs to do for Red Queen's big job. Just...get my mother out, please." She vanishes into the darkness, revealed only by your thermal imaging, before she vanishes from sight completely.

You climb down with a sigh and turn off your smell receptors, leaving the airborne chemical analysis systems online in case of anything dangerous, particularly airborne corrosives.

The intersection is easy enough to fine and you go left as Rat instructed, low-light systems keeping your vision clear as you search for the ladder, but knowing the planning, it will be plainly visible and marked, likely near something that needs to be accessed like power cables or gas lines.

That's when you hear voices, muffled by distance, and then spot the shining of a flashlight.

You look around and quickly spot the pipes hanging from the ceiling of the sewer tunnel and clamber up, squeezing yourself into the tiny space between the pipes and the ceiling as parts of your frame compress and shift to let you move more smoothly as you resume moving.

As you slide forward, white noise generators engaging to mask your movement, you come across the source of the light, a pair of technicians inspecting something behind a panel, "Fifth time this has happened. And we can't weld these damn things shut in case we need to replace them."

"I know, I know. And the retinal scanners don't make it any easier either. I swear, one day those damn things are going to blind me!"

"At least we finally got that damn raise. Okay, just need to make these final adjustments. Shift that light over here so I can get a good look, nothing to see down here but rats anyway."

"Rats and street gangs." The technician with the flashlight clarifies.

"Same fucking difference."

You see the ladder a short distance away and with your white noise generators going, they're not going to hear you very well if you head towards it.

If they're using retinal scanners however, then you need to extract someone's eyes so you can scan and mimic their retinas.

You could take the eyes of these technicians, or knock them out so that someone with more clearence comes to check on them.

The two men don't even have time to look up as you pounce down on top of them, the Gas Blades in your hands as they hiss into life.

>Instant Kill Roll: 9

They don't have time to scream as a pair of blades made of 4000-degree ignited gas slice them to pieces as you simply move your hands in almost lazy motions, before stopping and watching their bodies fall apart.

Snapping off the Gas Blades, you calmly shove your fingers into their eye sockets and pop out the eyes of the first technician, bringing them up close to your as a laser reader scans their retinas and copies them into your memory before you repeat the process with the other body.

Leaving the bodies behind, you calmly climb up the ladder and enter into what has to be the access building. Since the room you're in only has the access ladder, you walk through the door and into a changing room.

There's several lockers inside and you see that the door has a retinal scanner, likely to prevent anyone climbing up from the sewers and gaining easy access to the facility.

You can't simply walk out there. You'll be caught and likely end up in a cell, unless that's your plan.

What you need, is a disguise.

-Disguise yourself as a male staff member (1d100+30, best out of five.)
-Disguise yourself as a female staff member (1d100+30)

You walks past the lockers until you find the ones belonging to the female staff members behind a moveable privacy screen.

Picking one at random, you calmly strip out of your clothes and change into the uniform inside, your body instantly engaging specialised shapeshifting systems to fill out the clothing correctly as height increases and bladders inflate in key areas to account for the figure of the proper owner.

A few changes to your face and a pretty teenage girl is now replaced by a mousy, slightly overweight woman.

But now you have a problem. You have leave behind one or more of your weapons in order to sneak in successfully.

You check what you have again:
-Gas Blades
-Beretta 97, .45ACP pistol
-The Scorpion, 5.56mm Submachinegun in carrying container disguised as a working radio.

You can't take all three. At least one will have to be left behind.

-Choose which weapon(s) to leave behind.

>>

The scorpion is just flat out better, and the gas blades are irreplaceable.
>>
>Beretta 97

You place the weapon with your clothing, making sure the wallet you took back when you were stealing the dirty money is with you, then carefully hide the bundle behind some pipes.

You carefully conceal the Gas Blades before picking up The Scorpion inside it's radio disguise and head for the retinal scanner.

You place your eyes in front of the scanner and immediately use one of the retinas you acquired.

A flash of red light, a laser scanner, blinks in your eyes, and the door opens with a low tone, allowing you to enter the facility.

(You are now disguised. Maintain the illusion of being a staff member. Drawing weapons or attacking anyone in view of others will bring security down on you.)

Entering a hallway, you find a map of the facility.

You should be able to find the pilot's cell from the heavily guarded Central Security Room and confirm if the pilot has been transferred yet, also each Cell Block Tower also has a smaller, less-protected security room that should also have inmate lists but won't have confirmation of transfers.

Where should you go?

>>
>>30379487
>-Head for Central Security.
>>
>Head for Central Security

You immediately begin making your way to the Central Security Room, moving past security and other maintenance staff with a neutral expression on your face.

Since facial recognition systems are in use, your skin flashes patterns specifically designed to disrupt any attempts by the software to identify you, allowing you a measure of increased confidence as you reach an unmanned checkpoint and use your stolen retina to pass through the checkpoint and enter the Security Block.

Now then, you see the Central Security room which has staff inside it and a brief glance informs you that simply walking in is not an option, not without a reason.

You study the area:

There's a maintenance catwalk that should allow you to drop down onto the room, but it's exposed. You'll need a distraction.

Several security drones are flitting around the room, making sure that nothing is amiss. Maintenance bots are working on an electrical problem, an AR-image acting as a warning barrier.

You spot what looks to be a member of the IT support staff helping one of the security team fix his computer.

A nearby guard is clearly trying to hold it in, but he's about to rush off any minute.

You consider your options and form a plan of action.

Can we remotely hack a maintenance bot and force it to drive strait into the wall opposite of the catwalk? That will tie up the two on the computer. Okay, looks like two plans have been suggested, so here's the options to vote on:

-Ambush the guard in the restroom, use his uniform as a disguise.
-Sabotage the maintenance bots.

You need to open it up and directly program it using the mini-terminal inside. The process takes several minutes since you don't have dedicated hacking software.

You can crack communications only because it allows easier infiltration of locations.

If you attempt to sabotage the bots, the guard will relieve himself and go back to duty.

Fine, fine.

>Sabotage the Bots

You walk over to the maintenance bots, noting that the AR-warning is about an electrical problem as the bots shift to allow you to inspect the work done as they are programmed to.

Reaching over to one of the bots, you open it up and began tapping at the mini-terminal, carefully programming the robot to cause a blackout.

Work done, you head for the water cooler as a guard exits the restrooms clearly looking a lot better than he looked a minutes ago.

Getting a glass of water, you wait for several seconds, until the lights visibly flicker, catching everyone's attention.

Then the lights go out and people start shouting as you move.

>68 + 30=98

You move like lightning, running up the wall and over the heads of the two guards as shouts of confusion fill the air.

As you land, the door of the security room opens and you slip inside, body contorting like a snake, to roll behind one of the large servers inside the room as emergency power reactivates the computers.

"Someone find out what the hell happened!" Someone shouts and you peek out of cover to watch as several people leave the room, leaving a computer free.

You quickly move to the keyboard as flashlights come on inside the outer room.

Your fingers dance across the keyboard as you bring up the prisoner lists, searching for Rat's mother.

You smile as you find her.

[M, Cassandra. Smuggler/Pilot, Transferral: Approved. Location: Cell Block Tower 3.]

You nod and quickly leave the inner room and enter the still pitch-black outer room, intent on reaching Cell Block Tower 3.

Then the entire facility shakes and someone shouts in a panicked voice over the facility intercom, "A car bomb just destroyed the front gate! It's a breakout!"

Oh fuck.

(And that's part 8. Part 9 will be up tomorrow Saturday at 9:00AM, GMT+10)
