The sound of cicadas and crickets fills your ears as you run down the path. The knee high grass whips at your exposed legs, and you can feel the soft soil, wet from the midnight dew, sticking to the bottom of your feet. The pale moonlight is just barely enough to see by, giving the tall trees a fuzzy, indistinct appearance. You can hear the sound of running water just beyond the tree-line, beyond the reach of the soft light.

You were heading to the stream, weren't you? You look to your hand and see a stick with a bit of string tied to it. Right, you were going to the steam to fish. You push past the shrugs and tall blades of green and step out onto the side of the brook. Small, smooth pebbles line the bottom of the water, and larger sharp rocks border it on either side. Even in the moonlight, the stream is so clear that you can make out each and every fish taking a swim.

You take a seat on the rocks, putting your feet into the stream, and set up your rod. Today, the bait is fresh grasshoppers, caught just this morning. You throw the line out and prop your rod up with a few stones. Now you just have to wait. You take a deep breath and take in the night air. No cares, no worries. If only you could stay this way forever.

You hear a small splash and see another line join your own in the brook. A small set of feet takes their place in the stream besides yours. Looks like they finally got here. You were worried they forgot about it. You turn to greet your companion and--

You feel a tug on your blazer. You open your eyes to find yourself in the same, neat Tea Room at Yamada Girl's Prep. The sun has gone down since you decided to take a nap on the warm, inviting table and now only moonlight illuminates the room. You turn to the tugging behind you to see Claire, your appointed babysitter, pulling at the tail of your coat. Though her face is as stone cold as ever, the way she pulls at you indicates a sense of urgency. Not that you'd need any help figuring that out, you can practically smell the fear from her sweat. Her eyes aren't looking at you, and she seems to be refusing to speak, or even breath at the moment. You follow her gaze to see a young girl sitting opposite you at the table.

Or rather, she would have been a young girl. Her long black hair hangs over her face, the small glimpses you catch of her eyes reveal them to be sunken in and bloodshot, her uniform is tattered and dirty, and she smells of earth and soil. One detail in particular stands out to you: She has no heartbeat. Normally, when you're this close, you have to intentionally ignore the beating hearts of other people, but your recent awakening has made you drop your guard for a few short moments.

So...this must be the ghost of Yamada's Tea Room. The ghost lifts up a cup of warm tea and takes a drink. She gestures to the pot of steaming tea beside her and back to you. You think she's offering to serve you a drink.

No, just an attempted rapist.

If Captain had followed through on her "tie Rin up and offer her to the Captain" plan, she would legally be a rapist, given that Rin was obviously not consenting.

You just woke up so you're feeling a little thirsty. You nod to the newcomer, who gets up from her seat to fetch you a cup from the cabinets. Though the long skirt of Yamada Girl's Prep doesn't show off much of her legs, you can see old bruises and dried blood on her calves. After a moment, she returns and pours you your cup of tea and holds out the cup for you. You take it from her, giving it a cursory sniff. Well, it smells fine to you.

You take a small sip to start with and give yourself a few seconds to process it. It's normal green tea in every way you can think of. Feeling less paranoid, you take a big gulp of the drink, finishing it off in one go. You place the empty cup down on the table, feeling a little better. The 'ghost' covers her mouth and appears to giggle, though you don't hear her take any breaths and she doesn't make a single sound. She pushes a bowl full of rice crackers towards you before she pours you another cup. You grab a cracker, again inspecting it, before taking a bite. Like the tea, it seems perfectly normal and was likely in the room before you even got here. You attempt to drink your second cup in a more dignified fashion while you observe your host more closely.

After two or three more cups, you think you have a better idea of this creature. She doesn't appear to be violent or dangerous. In fact, it looks like she derives a great deal of enjoyment out of serving drinks and offering snacks. Your host appears incapable of vocalization, though, and hasn't responded to anything you've said.

A cup and cracker sits on the table for Claire, but Claire has remained urgently attempting to get your attention since you woke up. The ghost keeps looking at Claire with a disappointed face, but hasn't pushed the subject. Maybe you could learn more if Claire would participate too...

You bat away Claire's hand and tell her to get you some writing materials. Claire wordlessly reaches into her pack with a shaky hand and retrieves the items. You slide them over the table to the ghost and start to ask her some questions. You know that one of the places you were supposed to inspect today was the Archery Range. You weren't given much information on this, however, and you hope that your new acquaintance might shed some light on the situation. The ghost nods at you then begins scrawling on the paper.

While she's doing that, you figure you should scold Claire a bit. Even if she's a little more feminine when she's reserved like this, she needs to be able to stay helpful to you.

"...Are you saying you like to see my frightened appearance."

No, you didn't say anything like that.

"No, no, it's fine," Claire takes a few shaky breaths, "I should have prepared myself for this kind of situation play."

You would like to strongly object to Claire's interpretation of your statement, but you're cut off by the ghost returning the sheet of paper to you. ...What? It's in Japanese. You can't read this.

"At the Archery Range, a boy and a girl meet under the tree every midnight. I don't get what they're talking about, but it seemed important."

You look to Claire, who tilts her head to the side at you.

"I am fluent in most languages."

...Then why doesn't she ever understand you?

--

You're outside the door for the Archery Range. It's about half an hour away from midnight, and you're not sure if you want to head in yet. Claire, who is back to her usual self, waits patiently next to you. As usual, she hasn't offered any advice on what to do next, so it's up to you to figure out a plan.

>Hide inside the Archery Range itself and wait for them to show up.
>Wait outside the Archery Range and follow these mystery people in.

Okay, act as an objective, unbiased, real world observer for a moment. Pretend the author is dead.

You decide to take the safest option, and wait outside the room. You and Claire take up positions outside the room. Claire decides to help, for a change, by turning her book back into a large cardboard box. She drops the box over your head and tells you to huddle down next to the door. You're not quite so sure this is a good hiding place, but Claire hushes you as the sound of footsteps fills your ears.

The person is small. With dainty feet. Wearing flats. There's a flutter of a skirt. Probably a student from this school? They slide the door next to you open and walk into the room without paying you and your box any attention. You feel the heat from Claire's breath and nearly jump. Is there any reason why she needs to be this close?

"...The thought of being discovered is exciting, yes? I wasn't ready before but perhaps I can understand the appeal of exhibition."

You flick Claire on the forehead.

You and Claire wait for several more minutes but nobody else comes down the hallway. You begin to wonder if that ghost really knew what she was talking about, or if she somehow misunderstood you. However, you do start to hear the girl outside begin to speak.

"Yeah, it's me. What? You couldn't tell? Maybe I'm getting better at this. Yeah, they found the blacktop. Haven't done anything about it, but there's no way they're going to let it slide. You better make sure you've got a backup plan. ...No, I won't go out with you. Don't forget who I am just because I look like this... Hearing that from you is kind of disgusting."

You decide to wait for this conversation to finish, focusing your senses as best as you can. Once more, you detect that same void of presence that was there when you were eavesdropping on Rin. A voice finally makes itself clear as you put your full effort into listening.

"Can you blame me? Our organization isn't exactly brimming with available or sane women. I'd be willing to experiment a little with you."

"Shut up and stay focused. They still haven't found anything in the playing fields or on the tracks, so we don't need to completely scrap the plan. Just make sure you do your job and fix your screwup on the blacktop. You've utterly failed to produce results for three years now, but I don't think I need to remind you of that."

"Y-yes. Sorry about my performance. I'll put everything I have into this."

"You had better. If you fail again, I'll personally make sure that you'll never fail us again. When I come for you, it won't matter if you're in your stupid territory."

"Yes, ma'am. Absolutely, ma'am."

"Good. Don't forget: I own you."

The presence vanishes, and you hear the girl slide open the door, then briskly walk down the hallway. You notice a smell of blood on the figure, and...cherry scented shampoo? Really? You wait until the girl is beyond detection before leaving the safety of your cardboard box.

"It appears that False Hearts has been using this location as meeting grounds."

Thank you for the obvious, Claire. This trip hasn't been too productive. You know there's something to look for on the fields and track, and the ghost has let you know that your mystery terrorist is male, but aside from that...

"I agree. At the very least, they are unaware of our surveillance. It seems like they will be changing their plans somewhat in the future. We may have to step up our investigation."

Claire is right. You don't want to admit it, but you might have to work harder these next few days. Checking the time, Lunatic High should be done with her decoding by now. But you could always save that for tomorrow and just go to bed tonight.

Would we try to patch things up with lightning girl? Would we sit down and have a talk about reasonable behavior with Claire? Would we make friends with the tea ghost? You decide to report your findings, and this ghost, to the Chief. You head back to the tea room. Claire still seems less than eager to enter, but walks the whole way into the room this time. Her knees are shaking, but she's managed to not run away. The ghost sits at the table, slowly and elegantly drinking a cup of tea. You take this time to call the Chief.

"...Wild Card? What do you want at this hour?"

You tell the Chief that you need to see her as soon as possible. You've got something you just can't handle on your own, and need her help to take care of it.

"W-what? Don't you have Claire for that, you beast? Or...or are you like Lido and you need more than one woman to satisfy yourself?"

Wait, what?

"This is improper! Indecent! How dare you ask me to do such a thing? You should at least try to set a mood instead of calling me in the middle of the night! Or, wait, is this one of those, you know, behind calls?"

You don't know what the Chief is talking about. You tell her what you've learned about the situation here, and also inform her of the tea serving ghost.

"...Oh. I see. How foolish of me," There is a palpable silence.

"W-Well, I'll send some servants over to pick this ghost up. It sounds like a Renegade Being has taken the shape of a former student or something like that..."
>>
>>30159947
You wait on the line for almost a minute, but the conversation stops cold. Is the Chief going to say anything else or just leave you hanging?

"Yes, well, goodnight!"

The call ends abruptly. You sigh and shake your head. The Chief is almost as bad as Claire is sometimes. You look over to Claire, who is still shivering in fear from the ghost. You're not sure if it's a good idea, but you ask if she's alright.

"...I am still frightened terribly, but right now I am a little disappointed."

Disappointed?

"Yes. Had I a more full bladder, we could have experimented in some loss of bodily fun-"

You grab and pinch her cheek before she can finish. You've already had enough of this for one day. You intend to return home and sleep this crazy day off ASAP.

It seems this ghost is not only good at preparing green tea, but black tea as well. You're sitting in the Student Council Office, sharing a cup of tea with the Chief. The ghost has prepared the both of you a pot of the Chief's favorite blend, and is waiting on the both of you silently and patiently. The Chief's bizarre taste in uniforms shows through again, as the girl has been put in what you guess to be a maid's uniform. Furthermore, it looks like she's been cleaned up for the most part, removing the smell of dirt and fresh soil and replacing it with a faint perfume. She's still missing a heartbeat, and her pallor isn't going away any time soon, but you suppose there's nothing to be done about that.

The Chief seems a little off balance today, not bothering to tidy up her papers over and over again like usual She can't still be worrying about that awkward phone call, can she? Eventually, she decides to stop ignoring you for small tasks and addresses you firmly. You resist an instinctual urge to bow your head as she straightens up; the Chief's charisma is no joke.

"So, you've been doing a fine job so far on this case. I'd like to thank you for all the brilliant volunteer work you've been doing. So...thank you."

The Chief smiles at you. Ah, it's too bright. You can't look at it directly or you'll feel you'll go blind. You're not sure you like the scornful Chief, but this isn't really any better.

"Putting that aside, I'd like to offer you, once more, the opportunity to join our organization. There would be many benefits to you, such as an increase in your welfare payments, reduced medical bills, as well as more clearance on otherwise classified topics. What do you say, have you changed your mind?"

Of course you're not going to join. Why would you want to join an organization full of perverts led by a softcore porn-loving vampire?

You swear you can feel the temperature in the room drop sharply. The Chief's smiling expression doesn't change, but you feel an immense pressure emanating from her person.

"..I..I see."

She puts her cup down on the table sharply, and the tea nearly spills over. She reaches into her desk and pulls out some paperwork. She looks at it with a terse face, then throws the papers into the trash beside her.

Finished with this disposal, she snatches up her tea and downs it in a single go, then picks up a scone from a basket nearby and begins to stuff her face with it. Looking closely, don't her teeth look a bit different..? It seems you looked too closely, because the Chief turns her attention back to you and puts the food down.

"...You still have work to do, yes? What are you going to do today?"

While you make a mental note to go pick up those decoded papers from Lunatic High before the day is out, your big task for the day will be finally getting down to business at Mary Magdalene's. While you've put the school on hold out of a vague sense of politeness for Claire, you can't procrastinate on that any longer.

"I agree. I shall contact Fallen Angel and have her waiting for you when you arrive. We can't afford to have another one of these private institutions serve as an outpost for these FH terrorists."

...You're not sure if you'd really like a guided tour with Fallen Angel. Not only was she as weird as the rest of these UGN agents, but it seems like there's bad blood between her and Claire. You know better to fight about it this time, though, and you keep your mouth shut.

The Chief continues to eye you closely, finishing the scone in a flash. You think she has more to say, but she just keeps looking at you, picking the crumbs off her cheek before licking them off her fingers. Your eyes instinctively focus on her new, pointed canines. You haven't ever seen her display those before. Either the Chief is very hungry, or very upset. Or both. You remember something about the Chief having a taste for blood...No, no. You try not to take that seriously as you back slowly out of the room. While the Chief gives you her normal parting words, her predatory gaze never leaves you.

>>
>>30161153

So...is this a chapel or is it a school? The large, gothic towers and flying buttresses throw you off. Stained glass windows seem to line each and every building, all made from stone and marble. Angelic statues serve in place of gargoyles, and latin phrases wrap around the gelding and doorways.

"It is both, Captain. This institution was originally a convent, if you must know."

Huh...You kind of feel bad for intruding, then. You were never really religious to begin with, so you'd feel out of place. You idly wonder if you're really the best person for this job.

As unhappy as it makes you to admit it, it might be best for you to wait for your contact after all. This place seems much bigger and more complex than the previous schools were, and you have no idea what to look for at any rate. You tell Claire that you'll be waiting around for Fallen Angel, and Claire immediately turns away.

Is...is she pouting?

"Greetings, Cerberus! I have been waiting for this day with bated breath. I see your shining spirit has not diminished since our last meeting."

Oh boy, here we go. You turn, expecting to see the same, poorly dressed woman from before but instead she actually looks...normal? Her formerly red eyes are now shining blue, and her hair is free from the excessive ornaments and clips. The uniform of Mary Magdalene's is as typical as you can get. A plain white blouse and plaid skirt, with a black ribbon tied under the collar. Most importantly, her chest is hidden from view today, keeping your eyes from wandering needlessly. Like this, you could even argue that Fallen Angel is pretty.

You attempt some form of a normal greeting again, and hear Claire click her tongue behind you. Fallen Angel takes your hand eagerly and shakes it as normal. You hazard a guess that she keeps her eccentricity a secret.

"Cerberus, I have been investigating while you were away! Though it pains me greatly to tell you this, but the Holy Prison is as pristine as it seems! Though forbidden love is rampant, and Sister Roberta has been wallowing in mead, I have no leads for you to follow. I humbly apologize!"

Maybe this place is clean after all, and you don't need to worry. You still think it would be best if you at least walked through the area. You ask Fallen Angel to lead the tour and show you anything of interest.

"Your wish is my command, Cerberus! Allow me to display the full terror if this Holy Prison!"

Fallen Angel puts a hand to her mouth and lets loose a proud, loud, and totally grating laugh. Hm, they even bounce when she laughs...

--

You find walking through these halls is a little more tiring than you thought it would be. Everywhere you go, the students stop to gawk at you. Even if they have been kept under lock and key during the semester, these girls have seen a man before right? Right?

"This Prison takes even toddlers and imprisons them away from the world! Rarely are they granted a sequester, and the male form has become alien and strange to them. Do not be alarmed if they treat you like the noble predator that you are, Cerberus."

So, basically, there are some girls here who have never interacted with their male peers?

"That is correct, Captain," Claire decides to interject,"Only one in five students here has interacted with a man for more than ten minutes in the last year. This is a special occasion for them."

"Bullets...Claire, I mean, is right. But be proud! You are a fine specimen to behold. I have heard word from your Chief that your hair is silky and glorious," Fallen Angel turns to you and puts her hands on her cheeks,"I must admit that I am curious about this as well."

"You mustn't, Sister Silvia!"
>>
>>30161955

A younger girl runs out from the crowd and tackles Fallen Angel. Positioning herself between you and Angel, she sticks her tongue out at you. Her short, cropped brown hair and small figure strike you as sort of plain. You'd wager she's 14 or so? What's this about Sister anyway?

"Sister Silvia is a member of the Sisters of Saint Joan. She's a great woman who volunteers at the soup kit--"

Fallen Angel clasps her hand over the girl's mouth.

"Ahaha, what are you saying, Jill? I don't know anything about that!"

The girl, Jill, breaks free.

"You might be bashful about it, but I think it's great! That's why you shouldn't hang around with this filthy, filthy man and come stay with me instead. I'm much better, right?"

"A lay sister, to be precise," Claire offers,"While she has no formal vows, she is recognized as a contributing member of the Roman Catholic Church. Silvia is still too young to take vows as a Nun. Why do you ask? Is this relevant to your interests? It would be easy for me to procure appropriate dress and.."

"Lewd! This man is so lewd! Do you see what I mean, Sister Silvia?"

"...I had no idea that men liked such things," Fallen Angel puts a hand to her cheek,"Perhaps I have overlooked the appeal of purity to the average man."

"No! You stay away from him! I won't let you be corrupted by a dirty man!"

Jill drags Fallen Angel away, sneering at you the whole way. You see Claire give Jill a thumbs up before she begins to pull you along herself.

"I can conduct this tour for you, Captain. I attended this school myself before I was placed on your detail. Shall I show you some places of interest?"

You suppose that would be useful.

So, just how does Claire think the confessional is relevant to your investigation? Claire told you to look around in one portion of the booth while she covered the other side. However, you've not been able to find anything here. You hear a knocking from the other side of the confessional. Curious, you slide the small pane aside. You see what looks to be one of the nuns on the other side of the partition.

Wasn't Claire supposed to be here?

"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been some time since my last confession."

The voice sounds a little familiar. Isn't that...?

"I've been terribly remiss in my duties as a woman," The nun pulls aside the mesh and leans through the partition. It's Claire. Either she found or created a nun's habit while you weren't looking and put it on, "Please, allow me to perform penance."

Claire leans in, pulling at the collar of the habit. Either these things aren't as modest as you thought or Claire's made some modifications. Either way, she's able to pull it down far enough to expose some flesh. She's...much bigger than you thought she was.

"I'm not Angel, Captain, but I'm confident in my own size. Now, have your way with me right here."

She closes her eyes and purses her lips.

You immediately turn around and step outside the booth.

"Ah, please wait. I can do bet--"

You shut the confessional booth door and look around. Was this just a great big waste of time? Growing bored, you shove your hands in your pockets and begin to wander around. Not particularly looking at anything, you remember the dream you had yesterday, and idly wonder how long it's been since you last went fishing...wait, have you ever even gone fishing? You can't remember a single instance of you doing that outside of your dreams. Maybe you just thought it all up?

As you walk along, you notice one of the Nuns walking around. At least you're pretty sure it's a nun. She's not wearing the headdress the other Sisters are wearing, even those who are using something more practical than the stereotypical habit. Still, this place is run by the church. You don't think they'd let someone else just walk around without reason.

You check your watch and notice it's already getting late and you still haven't picked up those papers. While you're curious about this person, you don't think that you'll have time to respond to anything that's on those documents if you take time to pursue this person.

You decide that you're just going to have to burn the midnight oil here. You need to figure out who this woman is. You follow her as best as you can, trying to get a feel for their identity. She's wearing what looks to be a suit, a rather gaudy one at that. Thick, red rimmed glasses are on her face, and large gold hoop earrings catch the soft glow of the candles. Her brown hair is tied up into a tight bun, held in place with what looks like...chopsticks?

Eventually, the woman reaches a dead end and turns to face you. She puts a hand on her hip and smiles at you, her mouth full of razor sharp fangs. This woman is...

"Yes, Overed. Oh don't be so surprised, kid. I know who you are."

You put up your hands and jump back. Maybe you should call for Claire?

"Looking for that UGN kid? Don't bother. She's a little occupied at the moment."

The woman takes off her glasses and throws them away. She reaches behind her head and pulls out the chopsticks, letting her hair fall to her shoulders. She throws the chopsticks at you, which hurtle toward you at incredible speed. You reflexively reach up and snatch them out of the air just inches from your face. If those had hit you, you'd have lost your eyes! Just who is this lady?

"You don't recognize me? And after you stole my heart..."

Blood starts leaking from the woman's eyes, which turn yellow. The blood collects down at her feet, then begins to crawl up her legs again, forming a sleek crimson armor. This can't be...

"Yes, it's me, Diablos! Are you ready for round two, kid?"

>And after you stole my heart...
I can't remember. Did we literally rip out its heart or is she another weirdo?
>>
>>30162974
You threw Diablos's barbed tail through his own heart.
Also, could someone else archive today?

Goddamnit Claire. This is the second time, stop chasing after blooddoubles without us. NEVER SPLIT THE PARTY. wait I mean... uh, when we are on missions...

>plans on posting Claire smut at the end of the thread

Shit!

Oh well. Here it is: http://pastebin.com/76h2kwKq

Writing smut won't help you get laid, Claire.
>>
>>30163866
>implying the Captain isn't just tsundere for Claire.
>>

So I got up to see if my thread was still here and what do you know, it was. I promised I'd read this, so I did. You have fictionally defiled my fictional daughter, good sir. I am unsure of how to feel about this.

>>30163866
This is now a canon. The smut is a story Claire wrote.

I hate to ask but... why did she write it in the second person perspective?
>>
>>30165401
Actually, hold on, I have another question.

Why is it that even in her smut, the Captain is incredibly reluctant to have sex with her and doesn't really like her?
>>
>>30165496
Claire loves her denial play, almost as much as she loves fluffy tails.

She's terrible at suspension of disbelief.

Also, i'm glad I woke up to see this.
>>
>>30165496
Because Captain not like Claire is a universal constant
>>
>>30165496
because her fetish is us acting all stuck up and mighty then giving in to our bestial side with a side of fluffy

Do you have malware or something? Some of the links in your image look like the kind malware would insert, especially the one that says "gold".
>>
>>30167118
Yeah.
I just ignore it, most of the time.
Laptop's dying anyway, no real harm in it dying a bit faster.

>>30165496
Sometimes, Claire likes to pretend she is the Captain, ravishing herself.
>>
>>30169457
That and the implications of what she can do with her Angel Halo and Morpheus Syndromes are frankly terrifying.
>>
>>30169561
It's better than my first thought on why she wrote it in the second person perspective.

She wrote it for the Captain as a present.
>>
>>30169608
>She wrote it for the Captain as a present.
This is also something she does. She shares the cream of the crop with Captain.
>>
>>30169675
Is he so used to it that it doesn't really bother him anymore yet? Because that's really the impression I'm getting of their interactions in general lately.
>>
>>30169828
He has grown more accustomed to it than he'd like to be.

Looks like Captain is no longer a Pure Chimera because he has Stockholm Syndrome.
