You are Gertrude Pool, Sophomore Class President and new commander of Lafayette Girls Academy’s revived Tankery Team.

IT’S TIME FOR SCHOOL… yeah can’t bring yourself to say that unironically.

Regardless. It’s time to wake up and get on trucking for the day. You and Kitten take a quick shower, get your teeth brushed, and then get dressed. It’s a little warmer today thankfully enough. Damn inconsistent weather.

Could be worse.

As you both eat breakfast, you watch the news on the latest Tankery stuff.

“And today, the match between Black Forest Peak and Kursk Girls Boarding School will be in just a couple of hours,” says the Sports newscaster. You check the time. That match will be just in time for lunch.

Kitten asks you, “Who do you think is going to win?”

Also thanks for adding the Scott to the shopping list German.

Also are the S-40 and Grizzly still under consideration?
>>
>>30124868
Pretty much yes. From what I understand, the Grizzly is basically a better M4A1. I'm still considering price ranges.

Same with the S40 but considering that it was never finished completely, I'm thinking of a better way of actually introducing it.

You shrug. “It could go either way. Both teams are pretty solid. I suppose Kursk is basically Russia’s Black Forest. Except with casemates.”

Kitten nods. “I can understand that I suppose. ISU-152s are really mean assault guns. They don’t call them the beast killers for nothing.”

You finish off your lunches and head out the door to meet your staff. Nancy greets with you a, “Morning, President! Sleep well?”

You nod, smiling. “Like a baby, Nancy. Let’s get moving shall we?”

All of you head out of the dorm and onwards to school.

It basically is a better M4A1, with more armor, and longer range. Some were fitted with the 17 pounder as well (though in small numbers)

I think some examples were made even after the conquering of France since Germany used them to make up their limited armor, and Japan requested some of these tanks and were in production for awhile.

Though the latter of the information stemmed from Wikipedia so it may not be as accurate.

“Here you go,” you say to no one in particular as you slip the wide book into the return slot.

You find yourself laughing a little at the book. It’s actually quite some clever black comedy. Sure, black comedy’s hard to pull off effectively, but this author seems to have mastered it. The details of the SU-76M are also pulled off quite masterfully.

> Bare Arsed Ferdinand: Progress: 20%

You also decide to take a quick glance at the library, specifically checking around for anything that the Cherbourg tour guide recommended.

Unfortunately you don’t find anything.

Man this library sucks.

ALARM

Whoops, it’s time for math class. You quickly head out of the library then head straight on for your first class. Once you’re settled in, you start taking notes attentively, this time in a notebook. The quiz for today also goes by relatively fast as well.

It’s the same with English Class. Quiz, notes. Both go by quickly. Same with Chemistry as well, Quiz, notes. You could set your watch to that sort of stuff.

Finally, it’s time for lunch.

You whistle. “Groovy. We got anything to watch it on?”

“Well,” says Lisa, “Our cafeteria does have that TVs. But I got my laptop, we can just watch it there.”

“Alright,” you say. You grab your lunch, a nice rice curry for once with a heap of grapes and a carton of milk. “Gotta say, it’s been quite busy this week Gotta handle the play, then we got Tankery stuff. Actually, you girls like meeting Griselda?”

They all nod as you all settle into your usual table and usual seating. “Of course!” says Nancy. “She seems nice!”

You say, “Oh, it wasn’t always like that. She was quite the hellion in her youth.”

“And you weren’t?” says Lisa.

“Okay, she was less of a hellion than I was but still, that’s saying something,” you say.

> Black Forest Peak

“I say it’s in Black Forest Peak’s hands,” you say. “I mean, their flag tank is the Maus. What could possibly go wrong for them?”

The match was set in a variably forested and grassy plain somewhere in France. Black Forest Peak really seemed to value staying together, especially tightening up with the Maus.

The biggest problem they encountered were groups of SU-76Bs popping out of the trees and taking potshots at their sides, tracks, and turret rings. A Panther went down the first time it happened, and BFP sent a Panzer III supported by a Panther to try and ward them off, which they did. They even managed to kill an SU-76B.

But this continued on and on for quite some time.

In fact, it’s still going. Neither seems to be backing off. The BFP group is still strong with its heavies and mediums, but the SU-76Bs keep scoring mobility kills. Meanwhile, the rest of Kursk Girls are edging around the battlefield, apparently waiting for an opportunity.

You check the time. It’s time for PE. You say goodbye to your staff then head over to gym class.

You sit on the bleachers, laptop open to watch the Tankery Match. Around you are Willie Hanna, Nicole Grant, and Rachel Bradbury.

Nicole says, “Are matches usually this boring?”

You say, “Well, not our matches but for these teams, not sure.”

Willie Hanna says, “You know, Gertrude, we animated the tank battle in that animation you wanted but it definitely doesn’t look anything like this.”

“Oh?” Curiosity. “You have it?”

Hanna nods. “Yep! But we’ve been delayed a bit on releasing it. You can come by the Animation Club building when you got time.”

The Tankery Match goes as slowly as when you first started watching it. The Jagdpanther was just mobility killed, and while they were quick to repair, this time they actually ran out of spare parts. Thus, they were considered killed.

Meanwhile, the SU-76Bs continue to take potshots, able to slink away through the forest away from the much more bigger Panther tanks.

Boy. Can’t drag on much longer.

ALARM

As it turns out, it just did.

History goes by fast, with you taking good notes on the rise and fall of Roman civilization. Theatre as well, nothing really happens, so you continue watching the match and they’re still going at it. You get the Quiz done in French easily enough, thanks to all that studying.

Finally, it appears school has ended. The Kursk vs. BFP match has not.

You walk on down to the Tankery HQ. Once you arrive, you poke your head into the lounge to see most of your crews around the TVs, watching the Kursk Girls versus Black Forest Peak match.

“Anyone won yet?” you ask.

Wendy says, “Nah. The only reason Black Forest Peak hasn’t run out of fuel yet is because they’re moving so slow to keep with the Maus. Those SU-76s though are picking them apart.”

Kate says, “I think Black Forest still stands a decent chance in an open fight.”

“Yeah,” says Wendy sarcastically. “In an open fight.”

Kitten walks over, looking at the screen. “It’s quite the snoozefest this match.”

You shrug. “I’ll say.”

All of you sit around, watching the Kursk Girls versus Black Forest Peak match. Captain Dubois has decided to take advantage of this to lecture. “So, one of the most important aspects of command isn’t the ability to know when to attack, it’s to know when to not attack. Patience is a virtue, per Kursk GB’s motto.”

Cathy raises her hand. “So when do we know not to attack?”

“Good question, Cathy. Simply put, you don’t.” Dubois says, “What makes a good commander is her ability to assess the situation on the fly, right then and there, and then making a judgment call. You have to be able to understand the situation in order to know when the time to attack is right.”

Luciano raises her hand. “How much longer is this match going to last?”

“Give or take, I’d say an hour maybe.”

You continue watching the Kursk Girls versus BFP match as Dubois continues to use it as lecturing material. “As you can see, the usual disadvantage of casemate tanks is that they lack a turret. This disadvantage can be negated by having flankguards of other tanks. In this case for Kursk, it’s having SU-76s which are fast and mobile enough to serve as flankguards for the big heavy tank destroyers.”

Juliette raises her hand. “So, do you really need to turn your entire tank if it’s a casemate?”

“Depends. Usually, some casemate tanks will still retain the ability to traverse the gun at certain angles along with the usual elevation and depression. But to face tanks which are coming up the side, turning the entire tank is necessary.”

You ask, “So what are your opinions on the Kursk versus BFP match then, Captain?”

Dubois taps her chin, pensive. “Honestly? Kursk is quite textbook in how to face an opponent that’s far heavier in armament in armor. You hit them where they can’t hit you, and you do it repeatedly. It’s a death of a thousand cuts to speak. Eventually though, the SU-76s are going to run out of ammunition, which will necessitate bringing in the big guns.

“As for Black Forest, they’re a team well-known for textbook tactics and coordination. Unexpected developments tend to catch them off-guard though which makes them a relatively inflexible team.”

> Take a Break

You and crew sit on a couch, Kitten resting on your lap and leaning back against you. Captain Dubois simply stands next to you, watching it as well. You ask her, “Want to sit down, Captain?”

Captain Dubois shakes her head. “No thanks. I think this is just about to wrap up.”

You blink, then look back at the screen.

Black Forest Peak has been caught in an open plain, the sun’s already setting. The SU-76Bs, low on ammo and fuel, start charging at the remaining BFP tanks, firing their HE shells. Meanwhile, the ISU-152s and the SU-100s arrive and remain at range, then take potshots. One 152mm shot nails the Elefant tank, knocking it out instantly. Another shot flips the last Panther onto its side.

Kitten leans forward, her head resting on her hands, looking positively excited. Nancy is the same way as well. Lisa simply leans back, watching attentively.

The ISU-152 named “Suvorov” and commanded by Oryola Kuznetsov advances forward, firing its gigantic 152mm gun and slamming it into the side of the Maus. No damage however. Maho’s Tiger rolls out from the other side and fires, planting a shot which just scrapes the frontal and leaves a gigantic metal gash.

Meanwhile, the rest of Kursk is fully engaged with BFP, the SU-76Bs are ramming and throwing themselves at the BFP tanks. The Panzer III and an SU-76B take each other out mutually with a swift ram to each others front. The Jagdtiger has been rendered immobile and receives a swift 152mm shell to the engine block.

That just left the Tiger I, the Tiger II, and the Maus.

[1/2]
>>
Goys, we still haven't resolved the Otaku/Animation club feud.

Maybe we should do that prior to the next match
>>
>>30129052
[2/2]

The Tiger I fires another a shot at the now dangerously close ISU-152 “Suvorov”, but an SU-76 swiftly takes the bullet for its commander, the last SU-76B alive in fact. The rest have been savaged by BFP. Suvorov fires, its shot hitting the Tiger’s turret and knocking it out entirely. The Tiger II tries to make a retaliatory shot but is taken out by an SU-100.

The rest of the heavy tank destroyers start moving in and start planting shots at the Maus. The Maus fires, taking out an SU-100. The others however begin firing everything they have. Armor-piercing, High Explosive, even Concrete-piercing rounds at the Maus. The Maus’ turret slows, even the gun barrel has been warped by a Concrete-piercing round hitting it. The coaxial 75mm is all they have left.

And unfortunately, it’s not enough. After the Maus looks scorched, dented, and overall looks it’s been through a grinder, a white flag pops out of the top of the turret.

Have you seen their opponents? Shermans, Infantry tanks and a bunch of T-34s, not bad tanks but not really capable of doing anything to a line up ludicrously up armored monsters.

Also, BFP can deal with situations that aren't slugging matches. They'd could just roll with a full outfit of Panthers and overrun the opposition. Whether that's an actual part of their default strategy...

> Gunnery Practice

You check out the target at the other end of the field as your Sherman moves forward at a cruising speed of 10 miles an hour. To your left and right are your other tanks, matching your speed in a staggered skirmish line of sorts. The goal here is to hit the target, and it’s allowed for you to stop and fire rather than just move and fire.

You say, “Nancy, on your go.”

Nancy nods, and quietly adjusts her aim for the minute little details. It’s pretty easy thanks to the Sherman’s vertical stabilizer. Still, Dubois states that even with stabilizers, it’s generally a good idea to stop to aim and shoot.

Nancy fires the gun, and the shot zooms across the field and scrapes the target’s side. “D’oh! I missed!” says Nancy. The rest of the teams also fire, the Girl Scouts being the only one with the sense to stop and then fire. Even then, nobody really hit their targets. Except for the Aces, and even then they came very close to missing.

Captain Dubois says over the radio, “See how hard it is hitting the target on the move?”

You say, “Yep.”

At least you’re learning.

Pradva, sure, but Saunders? To my knowledge, they only have the single Firefly. Sure, the 76mm could lay out most of the mediums and maybe a Tiger, but it would be a pretty dangerous proposition to get in close to anything heavier.

“Close formation!” You stand turned out as your tanks move in an echelon down the field. The tanks slowly turn left to close in towards each other. The Hellcat however proceeds to flick left and spin out, crashing into the Panzer IV.

You say, “Hold on, stop.” Your tanks brake to a halt. “Janek, Juliette. You girls having trouble?”

Janek says, “We’re still getting used to the Hellcat, sorry!”

Juliette says, “I can’t see what’s going on!”

“Juliette, have you tried using the cupola. There are viewports that give you a 360 degree view. Otherwise, you can just stick your head out of the hatch,” you say.

“Oooohhhh…” Juliette says. “So that’s what those are for. Okay, I got you.”

You say, “Rejoin the formation, let’s get this right.”

After half of an hour of crashes and other accidents, you do finally get the hang of tightening and closing formations.

Thus ends training with Captain Dubois. You all stand in the warehouse, being addressed by her with you at Dubois’ side. Captain Dubois says, “Girls. Today’s my last day with you all.”

Everyone gasps, shocked and saddened. “

> - 20 MORALE ACROSS ALL CREWS (EXCEPTING GERTRUDE’S CREW)

Now, I didn’t tell you all because I must admit, I didn’t want you all to waste your time on a going-away party or something,” says Captain Dubois. “As much as I liked training with you all, I do have my priorities and they lie with the US Armor School. Thus, I must bid you all farewell.”

Dubois shrugs. “Oh, I’ll definitely keep my eye on you, Gertrude.” You nod. Not sure if that means- “No, I’m not going to recommend you to any recruiters. But I will watch the match intently. You won’t let me down, right?”

“Wouldn’t dream of it,” you say. You turn to your girls. “Girls, Captain Dubois may be leaving us, but, don’t fret. We’ll have a new instructor by next week. And hell, I’m sure none of you want to make Dubois sad by losing the tournament, right?”

Everyone nods, shouting, “Right!”

Dubois nods, then walks over to the Sheridan tank. “Right, right. Anyway, I’m off.” She climbs up onto the Sheridan and then puts on her helmet. “Girls! Remember, Tankery isn’t just about tanks or winning. It’s about you, all of you, growing up and becoming women! Don’t ever forget that!”

Meanwhile, Theatre Tech kids are dressed out in black shirts and pants, completely making themselves invisible in the darkness of backstage. You may have accidentally grabbed someone’s breast at one point but you’re not sure.

Octavia pokes her head between the curtains. “Right, Director. What do you think?”

You sit down in the front row seat, crossing your arms and leaning back. “Alright, girls. Time for our final dress rehearsal.” Everyone stands on the stage, listening to you. “Now, I know I might not have been the most attentive director, but I have been quite busy and with what’s been going on, I’ve tried my best. Hopefully it was enough. Now it’s all up to you. So let’s get acting!”

Everyone takes their positions. The Freshmen sit in front of the stage, sheet music ready. Tara starts with the strum of her banjo.

“It has been a Red Dawn.”

The curtains close, and you stand up and clap as fast as you can, your own little standing ovation. That play made you laugh, and it made you cry with laughter. The music perfmances were spot on and it seems all the kinks have been ironed out. The curtains open up again, and all the actors come out one by to take a bow to the tune of Earl’s Breakdown.

First the principal characters, Kitten, O’Hara, Crane, Jenny, Janek, and then the rest come out, the extras, the Rifle team, the Polish, etcetera. Once everyone’s out, they lock hands, then bow all at the same time.

Everyone begins dispersing, all the actors heading into the dressing room along with Kitten. Octavia hops down the stage and quickly thanks the Freshmen for their hard work. She walks over to and says, “Hey, thanks for helping out the play.”

There’s a strange sense of consistency between the Skink and the Kugelblitz. Both of them really seem to love supporting each other. Of course, that’s really the most consistent thing you’ve seen so far. Who knows what else they’ve got in the hangars even or even under restoration.

You walk over to O”Hara, who’s busy packing her things. “Hey, O’Hara. How are you doing?”

O’Hara shrugs. “Oh, mighty fine I suppose, Gertrude. Lynn’s doing well as well.”

“Glad to hear that. I was wondering if the Sewing Club’s materials were going to be returned anytime soon?”

O’Hara says, “Once we’ve made sure there’s no contraband, it’ll be returned handily. Should only take us another day or so.”

You smile. “That’s great.”

O’Hara nods, then throws her backpack and gives you a quick salute. “Right, see you.” She then leaves the Theatre.

“Hm, not just yet. I think there’s something I have to do.”

Kitten looks at you skeptically. “Like what?”

“Oh… I dunno. Something.”

The two of you head out of the auditorium and into the cold night. You check the time. 9:30. Barely anything’s open at this point and you feel hungrier than a Dingo near an Australian family. Kitten however hands you a sandwich, ham. Perfect. You take a bite out of it and instantly feel recharged.

Question is, what should you do now?

You look around the bookstore. There doesn’t appear to really be anything relevant to tanks. That’s a shame. Kitten however picks up a few Doc Savage comics. And admittedly, so do you. You browse the shelves one last time before finding one book in particular.

It’s unmarked. It appears to be some kind of leatherbound journal. You see a price tag. 500 Dollars. Reasonable price. Perhaps this is one of those ominous books that happens to give you some kind of advantage if you read it. You file through it.

… and find that it’s completely in German. Maybe it’s relevant to tanks.

You take your book and stuff it into your backpack. You’ll probably learn to decipher the language later. With that, you and Kitten bid farewell to the bookstore right as the shopkeep closes for the night. You check the time. 10 O’Clock sharp. There’s definitely not going to be any stores open for the night, so you elect to head home.

Kitten asks you, “So what did you buy?”

“Some book. It’s in German.”

Kitten asks you again, “… why did you buy a book in German?”

You say, wagging your finger. “Because Kitten, I found it in a non-descript corner of the bookstore, and it’s unmarked, and it’s leather. That must mean it’s important.”

“But you can’t read German,” says Kitten. She chuckles a little. “You can barely read French!”

You snap your finger. “I can read more French than you can, Kitten. That’s for sure.”

You arrive at the dorms.

You say, “Just wondering if I can crash at your place for the night.”

Lisa tilts her head. “Oh? Sure, go ahead.” She leads you in, yawning a bit.

You say, “Wow, Lisa.” Her dorm is as messy as when you first step foot in it all those weeks ago. How did it come to this? Paper wads everywhere, trash here and there. What the fuck Lisa.

Lisa says, “Hey, before you say anything. I like my dorm this way. It’s controlled chaos. Besides, I need all this stuff?”

“For what?”

“Things.”

You nod slowly. “Things.”

“Things,” says Lisa. You look over at the bed, probably the only clean thing here. And that’s saying something considering the bed sheets look like they’ve been washed a total of none. You roll your eyes and sit down on the bed and set down your backpack.

Lisa nods, neutral expression on her face. “Smart purchase, Boss.”

You roll your eyes. “Do you happen to know anyone who can read German?” You hand the book to Lisa, who shifts through it.

Lisa shrugs. “Don’t think so, unfortunately. And I must say I’m not too familiar with the German language myself.” She hands it back to you. “Anyway though, I’m sure you’ll figure it out. Just apply that brainpower of yours, Boss.”

You nod. “Of course, Lisa.” You look at the mess of her dorm. “Speaking of which, how the fuck did you get your dorm this messy again?”

Lisa says, “Wasn’t easy.”

You yawn a bit as you lie on Lisa’s bed, reading off your textbooks and taking down some notes into your laptop. It’s nothing you can’t handle. And you don’t think anything special is going to happen Friday minus the play.

Regardless, you gotta keep your grades up and you have to make sure you’re Johnny-on-the-spot when people have questions.

Lisa meanwhile sits at her desk, also studying. You ask her, “What are you studying?”

Lisa shrugs. “Eh, just something for AP History and Moral Philosophy.”

“That’s a filler class isn’t it?”

“Still gotta have As though.”

You nod. Fair point. Your eyes droop a bit. You’re feeling just a bit tired.

On second though, the Unlimited highlights are just as nuts.

You shut down your laptop and put all your textbooks away. “Gonna head to sleep?”

You gasp mockingly. “You’re going to make me sleep on the floor, Lisa?”

There's always DIVINE INTERVENTION. But yeah, I have half-a-mind to bet on Ooarai in their next match just so that they lose, as per our usual luck with bets.
>>
>>30136127
1. Depends. Taking information from dreams is quite a common thing for inspiration. I believe one of the greatest innovations of the Battle of Britain came to its inventor via dream.

>>30136137
1. I follow /a/ on the offchance that there's a GuP thread or anything I'm watching at the moment.

2. I'll answer any questions you ask. As for expecting a Question, I feel like a expecting a certain question to be asked me is rude. You're free to ask me anything and I'll answer to the best of my abilities.
>>
>>30136139
Ooarai's going to be the final boss. Standard sequel rules: all the old antagonists get their shit kicked in early and the last protagonists are endgame.

Schteel, it's the Winter Olympics--noone watches those.

Except maybe Curling and Hockey, but those are Curling and Hockey--how could you not enjoy those?
>>
>>30136341
Well Curling I can understand.

Hockey however, I must tell you now, I'm American. I don't understand Hockey. The most I know about Hockey is that its the sport where Canadians punch each other and that it has silly green men mock the guys in the penalty box.
>>
>>30135504
I think the reason the shitstorm happen since no one got what they expected, people who wanted them to keep the stuart lost, and the ones who wanted them to have the hellcat have a hard time in the controls.

Also does being familiar with a tank effect the process of being an Ace?

Will Oorai get more tanks?
>>
>>30136241

Maybe, maybe not--let's see if we can catch Ooarai's next match on TV. If anything, I'd like to see how Ooarai's tactics have changed since winning the last championship.
>>
>>30136391
1. There are lots of little factors I'm accounting for in the Eliting process. Familiarity with a certain tank is one of them.

2. Perhaps. We'll see. I try not to go against canon but since this is post-series and they are in a tournament, I might have to fluff things.

>>
>>30136427
I also noticed since the last time we looked at Kursk and Black Forest is that they gained another Elite tank.

Will you ever do another non-weekend thread again?

Will we get money from the play

Hockey's appeal is much like Lacrosse's--you've got a bunch of crazy people running around a field beating each other silly with sticks and ramming into each other continuously while running a little piece of plastic back and forth.

>a Strike Witches Quest which is more faithful to the source material

....Soooo, Neuroi instead of Martians?

Are PILOT shenanigans still possible?

> a Fisher Quest where you fish Sea Monsters

Dammit Schteel, why so many interesting ideas!?
>>
>>30136647
1. For the Strike Witches Quest, I wanted to try and bring it closer to the show and the mangas rather than go full planefag. PILOT shenanigans may be possible but only if you're looking forward to lesbian shenanigans as well.

Because lesbians.

2. I like bouncing ideas off in the IRC hugbox. That's one of many and it's genuinely one that I want to see done.
>>
>>30136554
That's unfortunate.

I was wondering if we manage to Elite another Tank will the other team will as well?
>>
>>30136736
The other teams will develop their rosters in the tournament. Considering the timeframe between matches, it's not impossible for a team to earn a new Elite tank or purchase more.
>>
>>30136647
as much flack as Fap Angel got for his work, he did a great job in showing how people react in being in combat for a long time. i disagreed in how the orginal show made life for the witches was not bad at all. being a history buff as i am, WW2 was hell, and worse if alien invasion on top of that.
>>
>>30136767
Didn't Kursk and BFA did though?

Both had two elites.

After the Polish Team incident will other teams be opposed to new tanks as well or some will be okay with it.

I know Rifle team will be okay since they had shitty tanks but besides that, I want to avoid another incident like that if possible
>>
>>30136689
>Because lesbians.
I'm not sure if I like the implications of that.

I need to get off my ass and actually watch Strike Witches still.
>>
>>30136799
Interestingly enough, SWQ was actually the first Quest I read. I read it through the archives and I actually found that it was a bit inconsistent in tone.

On the one hand, comedy and other BOUNCE shenanigans.

On the other hand, PTSD and violence and death.

From what I hear, planefag really did not like the Strike Witches series, and while I can understand that, it's not a good idea to write in a setting that you hate. Especially if you're going to make a lot of changes to it.

>>30136849
1. They've always had those two Elites IIRC.
>>
>>30136689
>Because lesbians.

This firghtens me
>>
>>30136689
hey, can we go all smutty hand holding in your SWQ? or will you be willing to connect it with the greater /tg/ SWuniverse?
>>
>>30136881
If I ever do write Strike Witches, it will be within the established canon, not within the /tg/ planefag-verse.

As for the spoilers. Eh, I'll figure something out.
>>
>>30136874
Oh, I did not recall also how did you decide the outcome for these matches, dice, coinflips?

Is there even a way to recruit naval engineers?
>>
>>30136908
ty planefags setting always bugged me and why would you write something in a setting you hate
>>
>>30136874

You reading SW89? It's a lot more consistent in tone, and it certainly doesn't have the completely insane pilot shenanigans of the first one.
>>
>>30136799
>how the orginal show made life for the witches was not bad at all
I wouldn't call getting fucked over by High Command every other month as "not bad at all"
Also, they weren't overtasked with deployments like in the final years of the WW2 Luftwaffe. It isn't a war of extinction. Yet.
>>
>>30136208

>>30136908
well, keep in mind Schteel, if you add in lesbians in your quest, the anons will want smut. i hope you're good at writing smut then and the danger that comes with it in running a thread.
>>
>>30136849
>I want to avoid another incident like that if possible.

I had a thought of suggesting cross tank exercises with the excuse that it'll let them know the extent of the capabilities of certain crews in their preferred tank, so they know what they're gonna get when asking for assistance.

Of course, with the tourney underway, we might not have the time or luxury for that.
>>
>>30136983

how do you feel about writing smut

>>
>>30136948
1. Coinflips along with a huge smattering of research and other some such. Because dice require math and statistics in such a short period of time, I don't use them.

2. There is. You can always try to recruit them personally or you can wait for them to offer their services.

>>30136960
1. SW89 is currently on my backlog. I'm on thread 20 I think and so far I've enjoyed it.

Strike Witches? I wanted to try something manage-y like LGA but with the very real threat that your witches could die if you mismanage them.

Though, I haven't ruled out the possibility of just making it story-based like SWQ was. I think that's boring though.

Again, I'm surprised Anzio had beaten the french team again to think that they learned.

Also since you added tank destroyer and some open tops will conversions for some tanks like the Souma, Sherman, and T-34 be available.
>>
>>30137133
More conversions will be available as I do more research into their respective conversions and as you progress into the Quest.
>>
>>30137165
Do you think of stuff that happens on the fly like Student Council management or our little sister visiting for certain days or do you plan things out

What do you think of Perrine?

Also what would have happened if we completed the tour?
>>
>>30137165
Is there anything about the quest you wish were different but feel it's too late to change? Like a character or the price of a maneuver to use?
>>
>>30137224
1. A little of column A a little of column B. For greater story events, it's planned out. For the little things, it's on the fly.

2. Perrine makes the Quest infinitely funnier for me just because of how cheery she is when she mentions cutting tanks in half and turning them into complete monstrosities.

3. You would've seen the Unlimited renovations. Not much to see but hey, Unlimited.

>>30137245
4. All kinds of stuff. Some of the Tactical maneuvers I feel are a little too cheap and Command Perks admittedly were kind of an seat-of-my pants thing.

There are lots of little details here and there. Originally I was going to make LGA a more dedicated fanfiction, but then I discovered Questing and here we are.
>>
>>30137038
>>30137103
well, here is an idea then. base the SW more on the SW89 less zaniness but set it in the future, possablity space based. think colony defense SW where we take the fight back to the aliens for their invasion back in WW2?
>>
>>30137295
Looking at the Situation, we exchanged numbers with Black Forest?

Or was it just an encounter. like Chi-ha-tan
>>
>>30137346
Sounds like a neat idea, but as I said, I'd like to write within the established universe.
>>
>>30137385
Considering I don't remember if you ever actually exchanged numbers with Kay or Darjeeling. I consider all encounters to be exchanging numbers.

Don't ask why.
>>
>>30137423
Is there much reason to use personal instruction right now? It doesn't seem like it gives us much more then some extra CP and the chance to learn maneuvers that we would anyways in practice. And studying teams just seems better for building CP.
Is the situation going to change where it looks like a good idea to consider or will you rework it a bit?
>>
Scruggs style or clawhammer?
Also, what part of the south are you from to have picked up on all these kinds of folk music?
>>
>>30137387
I don't know what that means.

How about a SAC BUFF team, or maybe a flight of Mig-25s or Mig-31s
>>
>>30137387
toss out the gnomes and practicly you're there in the established universe. just down the time line more. or another idea you could go back in the past say, the US civil war? war of 1812? the 100 year war? the crusades?
>>
>>30137489
Personal instruction is an unlimited source of CP whereas eventually you'll run out of teams to study.

However, I might rework if I consider it useless in practice.

>>30137491
I generally go with clawhammer. Much more versatile style whether you're leading or backing up.

And I live in the best part of the South. Virginia.

So technically, not even the South, but it is below the Mason Dixon line.
>>
>>30137563
we'll burn though the CP rather fast in a big fight. most of those moves and perks eat them up, not to mention just LEARNING them burns them up fast. you might want to think twise about the cost to learn new moves.
>>
>>30137563
Did Darjeening's team made the best 32 yet?
>>
>>30137640
Their match hasn't occurred yet.
>>
>>30137563
No, Virginia is well into the south. maybe not deep south, but south. i should know. i live there too.
>>
>>30137563
Do you think you'd write sidestories for your quest like some other QMs? A typical day of the Sewing Club visiting Kitten I think would be neat to read and have potential for wacky situations, putting some meat on what they actually do together. And of course a straight Unlimited Tankery fic I think would be pretty popular.

I think that's all for my questions tonight. It's getting pretty late and tomorrow's Monday remember. Thanks for doing this Schteel. Q&As are pretty great once in a while.
>>
>>30137651
Is it possible for the girl scouts (and the tankery team) to sell cookies abroad?

If so then Chi-ha-tan and Black Forest may be potential customers
>>
>>30137669
I've definitely wanted to write sidestories for all the crews and other side characters to flesh them out better. I feel like I'm not doing enough to make them feel like actual people here in this Quest.

Perhaps this Friday, I'll definitely have something.

Anyway, I'll be heading to sleep now. Thanks for following LGA everyone. Hope you have a nice week.

No, no, she's just not comfortable with sharing a bed with another girl, and that's ok. Even we slightly understand that how close we are with Kitten is unusual if the two girls aren't in a romantic relationship.
