>Recap
You travelled to a local museum along with Salta, Vegeta, and Huhn-tresh. The four of you viewed an exhibit on human technology, where Doctor Briefs happened to be unveiling an invention. As Bulma was there too, Vegeta stayed behind while you took Salta and Huhn-tresh to visit an exhibit on warfare, which they seemed to find interesting. You then returned to Capsule Corp, and Salta explained what she and Vegeta had been discussing. He had requested that she lead a mission to locate surviving Saiyans. You asked her about the secrecy of the discussion they had, and Salta explained there were certain people he did not trust. You eventually got her to explain that Vegeta mistrusted Fita's parents. The two of you decided to gather some of the others and head to Kami's Lookout to discuss both your visions, and the issue of Fita's parents. You told everyone about your new vision, and requested that Fita put you in touch with her mentor, King Kai. You asked him who would have been able to trigger your most recent vision, and he told you very few would be able, and even fewer would have reason to. After finishing talking with him, you all discussed Fita's parents, and how you could deal with them if they betrayed you. You decided to wait and keep a close eye on them.

"The last Red Ribbon scientist is one potential suspect and lead. Vegeta, Nail, Arey, and the Briefs still need to be checked for any... "intrusion". That's a job that only I can do, or Kami if we can convince him to help."

"The last option would be to interrogate Fita's "parents" myself. It would tip our hand, but it would be direct, and would mean we could skip checking our friends and allies one at a time. And with Instant Transmission at my disposal, they would have no ability to react."

"Fita, I'd like you to make sure nothing fishy happens to 17 and 18. You can all go down to Capsule Corp and try using their computers to gather as much information as you can on the last scientist before we go in."

"Yep, it doesn't get better than this" Goku agrees.

"I'd say it was even better when Chi Chi fell in the river" Onia comments.

No, though anon certainly was quick with the response.

It's more of an issue with timing, in three senses. The first is that I'm in GMT, which means it's a little past 3am. Which makes it damn hard to function in the mornings when I participate. Second is that although I'd be able to participate in the first hour or two of the threads, I usually end up playing by myself to a large extent. And that's no fun. Third is that the pacing's turned me off. It took us how many threads to even find out what Salta and Vegeta were discussing? We spent how many threads trying to prevent an encounter, only to have one dropped on us unceremoniously?

I really feel that we haven't been rewarded for our time in terms of results, and I haven't found it rewarding in terms of my own personal enjoyment. So I'm not spending any more time on this. That's all.

97 threads was a good run.
>>
>>30135325
It's been slower because the community largely decided my old system didn't work. I agree that this is too slow, I think I'm gonna do a strawpoll next thread about what system to go with

It kinda sucks because while this system is good for consensus it is rather slow which is obviously an issue
>>
>>30135350
Yeah, to be honest I prefer the other system.
>>
>>30135549
Me too, I'll do a strawpoll at the beginning of tomorrow's thread
>>
>>30135590
but the old system would lead to more dicks in more mouths
>>
>>30135488
It's not JUST the system. It's the fact that we end up basically jumping between what feel like set piece battles with enemies who are arbitrarily scaled up past us. In the past there's always been some semblance of continuity, even if all our efforts at throwing the inevitable next encounter off our trail failed.

In this case, I think it's fair to say that we thought we were actually taking appropriate steps to prevent the next major problem rather than allowing shit to come up. And yet, here we are, not even having gotten through the interrogations. With basically nothing to indicate that the slog through the last several threads accomplished anything.
>>
>>30135676
Mostly because the problem you were trying to solve with interrogations was unrelated to this one. Fita's parents aren't behind it
>>
>>30135674
>implying this would be a bad thing
>>
>>30135722

That really doesn't justify the no fun.

It's all work and no pay check.
>>
>>30135674
At least that kept people involved, everyone seems to get bored with the long wait between posts now
>>
>>30135743
I like you

>>30135793
That is true. we haven't had a good round of shitposting in a while
>>
>>30135793
It's not very long. The post time now is pretty average for quests.
Then again, most quest masters think out their posts more and write with more quality.
>>
>>30135831
Yeah, I kind of miss it
>>
>>30135862
Strangely enough so do I...
>>
>>30135780
That IS kind of a good way to put it.

Glad I'm not the only one getting that feeling.
>>
>>30135856

Yeah, that's the thing.

This quest is so dependent on player participation for its stuff, when there's low participation there's low quality.
>>
>>30135862
It's great until it breaks with a bad idea. Maybe you need to just... I dunno, eyeball it? Give more time when we need it, go quicker when there is an early consensus.
>>
>>30135913
no, there's always been low quality
at least there was quantity before to make up for it
now it's just sad
>>
>>30135940
good idea
>>
>>30135940
I happen to agree. Thoughts SOM?

>>30135948
Eh, I disagree. It's not AMAZING but it's fun. I certainly wouldn't call it low quality
>>
>>30135948

Well, by quality I just mean cool or wacky stuff. I'm not here for Som's artistic vision, and neither is anyone else because he doesn't write much.

Like ki strands or that thing with 18 or whatever.

I guess that's just me and why I browse this.
>>
>>30136050
It's really low quality. Try just about any other quest on here, you'll see what I mean.

>>30136064
I totally understand. I personally am here because it runs every day. Quantity is making up for the lack of quality.
>>
>>30136103
I'm not the best writer, I get that. I just hope people have fun
>>30136050
It's a good idea
>>
>>30136103
I think you're using the word quality and that's throwing people off.

I think what you mean is that there's nothing spectacular or memorable like other quests, but the quest is daily and moves quickly and its just fun to participate regularly.
>>
>>30136186
No, quality is used correctly. The writing, plot, and all of the developments could be done better, and are done better by most other quests.

This quest is daily though, none of the others have that going for them.
>>
>>30136103
I play in 3 other quests regularly. Program0 and FallGuy are incredible QMs. Pretty much everyone else is about the same level as SOM. And frankly I think he made up for a lot by the fact that he runs daily. Which is astonishing.
>>
>>30136305
>3 other quests
>2 are better

Let me know what the last one is. If they're only Soms level and don't run daily I'll know to avoid them.

I've been in AI Quest too, Prog is good, but I wouldn't say incredible. I'd say around the level of most QMs. At least in the quests I follow.
>>
>>30136264
I wouldn't even count that in SOM's favor. Running every day is... trying.
>>
>>30136439
gotta have a lot of free time.
>>
>>30136439

Not him, but I think it depends on the player.

Lets just kind of agree to disagree here and say that Som's style clicks with certain types of players and not others. It just depends on what you're looking for.
>>
>>30136439
Yeah, it's hard sometimes
>>30136264
Again, I know I'm not a great writer, you don't have to rub it in
>>
>>30136479
yeah, no offence guy. At least you're trying to improve.
>>
>>30136468
Gotta have no life is more like it. Or just resign yourself to the fact that stupid decisions are going to happen in your absence.

>>30136470
I'll agree to disagree with that statement.
>>
>>30136470
I can agree to that.
>>
>>30136479
They say everyone's a shitty writer.
"Arch is a shitty writer
Cos is a shitty writter
Azure is a shitty writer"
It just depends on who they'll bother today
>>
>>30136529
I don't know any of those people, but I know I personally am not a great writer. I have my moments where I do better than others, but there's little consistency
>>
>>30136609
Archelon, perpetrator of Princess Guard Quest. Actually writes rather well, but he forces his PLOT and DRAMA harder than you ever have and takes longer to update.

Cosworth, most notably responsible for Bleach Quest. He was an okay-ish writer, I just lost track of when his threads were on and didn't bother to keep up.

AzureEarth, the madman at the helm of Hollow Quest. He has his issues in terms of writing, but posts content at a reasonable rate, and knows what his players want and expect: madness given a form to wear and a voice with which to laugh.
>>
>>30136479
>>30136609

Well I think overall you're getting better as a writer.
>>
>>30136764
albeit so slowly as to be imperceptible
>>
>>30136764
Thank you, that means a lot

>>30136743
Interesting
>>
>>30136800
Wow you are seriously set on being as much of a duck as possible
>>
>>30136764

Yeah, defs.

>>30136800

Really dude, is being an ass on the top of your to do list or something? Are you really so mad that you got invested in a quest that wasn't great and now you only show up because you have nothing better to do every day?

Why don't you go do something you find more interesting than being an internet cynic.
>>
>>30136906
>>30136915
Just telling it like it is guys
I guess the truth hurts

Anyway SOM have a goodnight. Ill see you tomorrow.
