You are Nick Trimmers, formerly a dissatisfied peasant barber from a terrifying medieval utopia of thatched-roof cottages, enforced health programs, and Things Peasantkind is Not Meant to Know. Despite what the Lords & Ladies of that would have preferred, you proved to be made of sterner stuff than most, or at least stuff that is fiercely unhappy in a world of enforced monotony. On one of your rebellious trips into the Forbidden places, you came across a chance to go farther than you had ever imagined. Now you possess an amazing connection with the fabric of reality with the promise of great potential, though you are still trying to get a handle on what all that means.

Surviving the storm, you tended to the unconscious sprite and angrily berated the locals when initially brushed off by them. Eventually making a decent connection with Thrickett, some kind of bugheaded creature serving as a 'medic', which seems to be a local variant of the physikers that you are familiar with, who as provided the both of you with treatment through an emergency-service loophole, and is willing to spot you some 'credits' for continued treatment of Jana at the medical pavilion if you can secure a source of income. Also, managed to talk down Axmel of the Steelhearth, who got quite irate at your initial commentary on his ratty beard, though by the end he seemed to be considering your offer to give him a proper trim later.

Working with Thrickett, you managed to identify the strange mushroom you acquired as a food product of the fairy folk, a literal Magic Mushroom with powerful, but pleasant, hallucinogenic properties. After some consideration, you divided it up, giving a section to Thrickett to include in Jana's feedtube (hoping that fairy food would help her recovery, worst case really pleasant dreams), and strapping into a bed and taking some yourself in an attempt to meditate deeper into your abilities. Intending to look into selling the remaining portions of the mushroom for local currency. Before going under, Thrickett was working to set up a meeting between you and someone he thought might know the market for that item.

-QM Disclaimer-
This is my first quest, I type at a speeds rivaled by the three-toed tree sloth, and a shiny object might distract me at any moment. Hell, even snowed in I'm only starting an hour earlier than originally planned.

Generally, Random Dimensional Quest runs Wednesdays, starting around 7pm EST and going until I can't stay functional any more.

I enjoy random rolls and tables, many of which I won't be sharing beforehand for spoiler reasons.
As a GM/DM, I tend toward sandbox campaigns. As a QM, we'll see how well I can keep that up.
I'll likely use a mix of die rolls, and low/high as well, depending on the situation, but we'll see what works out best for us.

Choices: If we are looking at multiple choice, I'll tend to [bracket] the core choice, often with some example text afterward. Some times there might be a '/' between different choices within the text for sub-selections and personality/emotional choices as we go.
As we develop the character the choices should become more tailored to what we've expressed so far.

As you float through the mellow dreamscape, you inquire curiously about that strange seat that set you on this path, and shortly your mind is clouded with swirling images and thoughts.
The Perilous Seat, a phenomena that appears in a variety of forms on different worlds, the one from your homeworld appears and functions only around times of high mana, when the flow between world's is strongest. Thrickett gives you a rolled sheet of a smooth material (he calls it 'plastic' when asked) with a map and a couple locations marked in different colors. He goes over the directions to his coworker's apartment a couple times and you have a fair understanding of the map symbols before heading out.

Travel through the 'streets' of Arsenel is a strange and disorienting experience, particularly for one unused to the glam and glitz that advertisement can bring to bare. Everything from simple stands, modest storefronts, to bedazzled 'open-air' dealerships of massive warmachines. You aren't sure what a phased plasma rifle or what kind of range a watt covers, but it certainly sounds impressive, though the moving image of someone collapsing with a hole through them is a bit scary.

You can see the building that matches the description of the one you seek, dismissing fears of being lost, allowing a moment to consider whether you want to explore more first, or continue on to the target location.

You take the time to look around yourself a bit better, rather than gawk or try to focus past the distractions to follow the map.

The clientele seems to have quite a bit of variety, though as you begin to take in the body language of those around you, you get a feel for three chief types.
People moving around in a manner they consider 'professional', clothing seems neatly pressed and unfaded, though the styles will vary. Seem to be evenly balanced amounts of each amongst shoppers and sellers.
Others are a bit more ragged in their appearance as well as their body language, sudden motions of noises draw their attention sharply and their arms flex instinctively toward places that weapons might be. More of these seem to be among the shopper than the sellers, but some of the shopkeepers and stall owners seem a bit fidgety and rough around the edges at well.
Then there is a third category, which might be more of a 'grab bag', but a handful of individuals walk around with no unifying style, but all seem confident and the sellers tend to take notice when they roll up. Snatches of conversation seem to indicate that they are individual contractors or private individuals with fund enough to purchase 'serious' hardware for themselves.

As part sales floor, the streets are relatively clean, save for discarded ad flyers and product spec sheets.
While you don't understand the words, the imagry is rather impressive on much of it.
