>What is this?

The King of Fighters Quest is a "Choose Your Own Adventure"-style quest in which you take on the role of Katja Hartkern, an Austrailian Aborgine practioner of Kyokugen Karate and guide her day-to-day towards joining a team/preparing for the upcoming martial arts extravaganza, "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match".

Along the way, she'll make friends and enemies alike, explore the city of South Town and maybe, JUST maybe, discover more about herself along the way...

>Summary:

After talking about some things with Terry Bogard & "Blue Mary" Ryan over a pancake breakfast, Terry offered to drive you into China Town for your early accupuncture Appointment at "The Sleeping Dragon Pharmacy" as well as back to his appartment so you couldcollect your motorcycle (Which had been left there during yesterday's Drinking Binge you only vaguely recall).

The treatment itself was a fair success, though Dr. Lee Pai Long advised you t not use your Ki or fight for a few days, as he was concerned at how the flow of your Ki had been seemngly augmented through unnatural means (Most likely a result of what had happened at the Swimsuit Photo Shoot a few days before).

However, you threw caution to the wind when Lee's clerk behind the counter, Shen Woo, offered to fight you in the back alley behind the Pharmacy. What had initially started as a rough and rowdy excercise in futility on your part, the fight turned especially violent when you had accidentally used some of your latent powers of electricity after a particularly fierce Uppercut, sending Shen into a blinding rage that it seemed only you could've stopped...

The fact that you had to access the mysterious power that had previously overwhelmed you on the beach to try and defeat him came as a big surprise, but the revalation that you were in control of yourself throughout the whole ordeal was an even bigger one as Lee scolded the two of you for brawling behind his shop...

After Lee had patched the two of you up at no extra charge, you and Terry hit the road back to his place, talking about fighting, the life of a martial artist and learning of Terry's damn-near-incredible life story over a few beers, making you feel like an idiot over realizing that your life was relatively "Cushy" compared to the Bogard Brother's and realizing that things could always be worse...

Which was when the biggest bombshell of your life in South Town hit you when you had decided to check in with Yuri Sakazaki: You had been expelled from the Kyokugen Dojo and your status as "Disciple" had been revoked, not because you hadn't been to the Doo for a few days, but because Takuma Sakazaki had overheard that you were possibly Gay, and had (Seemingly) decided that such an influence on his student body was unthinkable.

Damn-Near broken by that news (As well as realizing that your previous home and friends were now basically off-limits to you), Terry helped you through it and you thanked him, setting up the possibility of sparring with him at a later date as you rode out into a late spring shower...

However, you were pulled over by a police car and were nearly hauled offto jail within miles of your current residence at "The Imperial" Hotel for having a broken tail-light on your bike, though after a few heated words you were left off with a warning and raced back "Home" without incident, unnaware that those two cops were Andrew Draco & Kazunori Kazahaya, the hired bodyguards of "The Infinite Match's" sponsor and host...

You woke up the next day feeling pretty good all things considered, though something you had eaten the day before started to wreak havoc on your stomach... Thinking that a light meal would help, you headed down to small cafe downstairs and had a Salad along with some fruit, a few bread rolls and a bottle of Water, only to get caught up in the rampage of former KOF Participant Chris, AKA "Justin Beiber", and polietly uppercutted him out of the Hotel before making your way back up to your room...

>(Updates now Begin)

>You now assume Direct Control of Katja Hartkern

You arrive at your room, idly wondering if your luck could get any worse as you look around and think about who you should call... For one thing, your belived Triumph Thruxton motorcycle, (Your only form of Transportation) needs to get repaired before you can head out anywhere today (As you DO have an appointment scheduled with Lee Pai Long today at Noon); On the other hand, you feel like calling up Robert Garcia, the man who had given you this fabulously swanky pad to stay in until after the Tournament ends and see what his take is on the whole drama about the Kyokugen Dojo.

Furthermore, you also haven't had a chance to really train yet this morning either, aside from beating up that bratty kid downstairs...

You walk through the villa and head to your room, snatching up your cellphone from the bedside stand and calling up that bike shop you tried to reach last night; You've got places to go and people to see today and you surely can't get there with a broken taillight...

After a few rings, a fairly high-pitched voice replies "Wessel's Garage, how can I help you?"

"Yeah... I read up online that you guys are specialists in European motorcycles?"

"Yep! Best place in town that isn't a dealer" The voice replies as you think to where you might've heard it before...

"Right... well, I've got a Triumph Thruxton that needs a brake light; What time do you think I can get in?"

"Hmm... Well, It's a quick fix since I've got the parts on hand, but do you know if it's just the cover for it or the actual bulb itself broke?" He asks as you fidget around the room, picking up your wallet.

"Nah, I'dunno... But I got pulled over the other day for it though, so I need it fixed pretty quick."

"Huh... OK, where're you at right now?"

"I'm up at "The Imperial" just across the street from ya'; What time can I get in?" You ask, grabbing your gloves and boots.

"Oh! OK, yeah, get over as soon as you can and I might be able to squueze you in before we open; I'll be out front waiting for you."

The guy on the other line hangs up and you quickly start to strip down, not wanting to dirty up such a nice suit and hang it up in your walk-in closet, then get on your clothes from last night and zip up your Riding Leathers, walking back out and riding down to the lobby.

From there you, walked across the receptionist's desk and headed down to the parking garage, seeing your bike parked where you had left it and smile. You slip on your helmet and fire the engine up, shivering from the cold and driving out and around the block until you spot the sign and pull up, the traffic surprisingly light...
>>
Deepest appologies for this long delay; Friends got me into a heated conversation.

>>29997694

You spot a wiry-looking guy with his hair gelled and dyed Purple, dressed in grime-covered overalls as you pull in, clicking his toungue at you while you shut the engine off, kick up the stand and dismount from the bike.

"Sounds pretty rough" he says as he introduces himselg. "But I'm David Wessel Jr. You're the gal I takled to earlier?"

"Yeah... Name's Katja Mate" you reply, taking off your helmet as David opens up the large garage door, revealing a pretty clean-looking service area that's at odds with the shop's exterior.

"Push her in and let's get to work: I'm booked for the rest of the day" David tels you as you nod, kick the stand back up and slowly wheeling your bike inside, David telling you to stop at a certain

"It should take about fifteen, maybe 20 minutes" David notes, seeing that the cover itself is what's broken rather than the light.

"How much you think this'll cost?"

"$25? It's only a headlight cover; If it were the bulb itself, then we'd be talking about triple-figures" David replies as he pulls out a few screw drivers and a couple of bolts...

"Sounds good on me mate" you tell him as you hand him the money, David flashing a toothy grin at you as he palms it, puts in one of his overall's pockets and gets to work.

Thinking of nothing better to do, you look around and try to find an open-enough space to do stretches while you hear David work on your bike, firing it up to check the electrics for a moment before shutting it off.

You evetually see a spot near a hanging punching bag and figure that this could be a good place to try and train... Which is when you start to your warm-up stretches and feel pain shoot through your body, obviously a legacy from the fight with Shen Woo yesterday...

Gritting your teeth, you use every last ounce of strength you have to try and force your body to stretch, feeling and seeing that your overal form is good but that your body is stiff today for some reason when David walks up to you about a quarter of the way through your routine.

He gives you a look and tells you "Your bike's all done, but I think it needs a tune-up; She's running pretty rough."

"She always has though; It ain't like some modern sportbike where y'can't feel anything" you reply, using the wall to make an "Axe-Kick"-Like movement and stretch your leg on it, showing off how flexible your body (And your well-worn Leathers) are.

"Yeah, but it feels more like a "Needs work on it" kind of rough... And do you mind if I work the bag?" David asks as you look at him and nod, taking a step back as you watch him "Work"... And see him knock the "Heavy-Bag" back and hit the wall with one good kick.

"Thanks for workin' on my ride mate; It's all I got to get around" you tell him as David starts to work the heavy bag with Boxer's Punches.

"No problem... It was just getting the case off of it and replacing that; You got lucky..."

"Speakin' o'which, how much would a tune-up cost me? Time AND money-wise?" you ask, hoping not to get grifted...

"Well... I could order the parts I need to make the basic tune-up happen, but if you want this thing lat forever thing it's gonna take time to get the good stuff."

"Like what?'

"Put a leather Pad on the gas tank, change up the Shocks, go for some period-looking indicator lights, change the center stand that's on it to a better one, maybe change the exhaust..." David rattles off in-time with his punches.

"And ow much would that all cost me? I ain't a big spendah, ya'konw."

"... Well, depending on the type and brand of shocks you want, A Thousand Dollars? Shit, I'll even cover labour costs to just to sweeten the deal... And besides, doesn't Bobby pay you enough?" David asks as your eyes widen at that last remark, thinking back to the guy that was looking at you seated at the Pao Pao Cafe 2...

"I'll... THink about it, OK?" you tell him as you smile, put your helmet back on, go over to your bike and fire up the engine, gunning it out and riding like the wind across the street (Obviously spooked about what had just transpired)....

You pull into the parking garage on the east side and take a breath, then head inside the hotel propper, not even recognizing that you enter your current abode until the elevator "Ding!" sounds and the doors open...

You head downstairs to robert's Gym and look around for exercise machines, wanting to increase the strength in your legs first (As you remember that you should "Never forget Leg Day") and spot a rowing machine off in a corner, not quite next to entrance to the pool.

You do a few more stretches and check the resistance, seeing that it's practically maxed out and shrug. "Might as well see what the big boys do" you think to yourself as you get into position and start the machine up, pumping your legs and finding that they've been neglected for a little longer than you had expected; You're really straining to keep going at a fairly fast pace, sweat starting to form after about 20 Minutes.

Ten Minutes later you stop, checking the pedometer to see that you had basically rowed for about 3.768 Miles in Thirty Minutes and take a breath, feeling pretty good as you wonder what to do next...

Feeling pretty good right about now, you head over to the bench press and get a couple of weights and try to get to around 140 Pounds on the bar, as you want to do at least one set of 15 Repetitions just to see what it's like.

You lock the weights in, set yourself up on the bar and start to letit drop down, a little heavier than you had expected but not too bad as you start to get into the rythym of the routine, though you're breathing hard and heavyily as you just barely set the bar back up.

"Bloody hell, THAT's a real workout" you exhale, wondering if you should do a second set of 15 or even if you have enough time to do so...

You feel wiped-out after that set of weight-lifting, in awe of Blue Mary's physical prowess as you feel as though trying to do another set would wear you out prematurely. Instead, you head over to the pool, strip down to your "Birthday Suit" and hop in, finding that the water's surprisingly warm as you take a few leisurely laps, the water relaxing your muscles and your mind before testing how fast you could really swim, surprising yourself after going through around 20 "Laps" quicker than you had expected.

Resting yourself up as you climbed up and out of the water, you take a few breaths before fully getting out, grabbing a towel that had been ltying around to dry off before put your gym clothes back on, wondering what time it is...

You pat your ears to get some excess water out of them as you head upstairs to the kitchen, seeing that it's not quite 11 O'clock and start to head to your room, looking through your closet for somehing to wear as you hurry to get out and get on the road, as you don't want to draw the ire of Lee Pai Long when you see him for your scheduled accupuncture appointment...

You quickly put on a pair of Jeans that you may (Or may not) have worn before and a loose-fitting T-Shirt (Not an easy thing to say, considering your figure!), heading out to the front and calling up the head desk, asking to hold any and all calls while you're out.

You walk over to were you had hung up your leathers, pull them, the boots and gloves on and grab your helmet, walking to the elevator that leads to the gotel's lobby and feeling a keen sense of deja vu as you ride down.

Stopping in at the lobby's floor once more, you briskly walk past to the east parking lot and find your bike waiting for you (As it should be, you think)andstart it up, letting the engine pur-r-r-r for a few moments before backing out of you parking space and heading out of the garage and into the flow of traffic, surprised again at how little cars seem to be out on the road today.

You make excellent time as you ride the highways and byways down to China Town, pulling in to the back alley behind "The Sleeping Dragon" in what feels like a record time as you hop off, put the kic-stand up and walk to the front entrance, Lee behind the couonter wearing a Yellow & Green mask today.

"You're early again... Could it be a habit?"

"More like a chance, I'd say" you reply as you take off your helmet and ask "Mind if we start this early? I'd like to get back to my place as quickly as I could."

"That's fine" he replies as you follow him upstairs to his now-familiar chambers, zipping down your leathers and taking them off as Lee says "As we ARE early, I'd like to try and give you a massage before we start, as well as possibly try to flow through your Chakras today..."

You shrug and strip naked, walking over to Lee's table and laying face-down on it as his boney, knotted old hands go to work on your aching muscles...

You feel a sharp pain go through you as Lee's shiatsu-style massage goes through you like a knife, leaving you gasping at how much pain those fingers o his are doing to your body...

"Breathe now... BREATHE now" Lee calmly tells you as the pain is excruciating and doesn't really let up, resortingto you half-laughing, half crying and eventually going through a coughing fit as Lee stops and sighs, shaking his head at your atics.

"Damn it, I'm trying to WORK here woman! How could you fight one such as the Gosd of War the other day, but get destroyed by an old man like me?" he rhetorically asks, leaving you to tremble from all of the pain... Yet at some point, the pain subsides and Lee starts to

"I had heard that Mr. Karate condemned you from his list of disciples over some petty contrivance... You have my condolences" he says, skillfully poking your back with golden needles before explaining "As such, this will probably be our last session... Well, until you get a REAL job and start making enough to pay me, I suppose."

"That's why I'm trying to rework the nerve endings around some of the more troublesome areas of your body; To try and naturally accelerate the healing process" Lee continues as you silently pray to make this all sto[p, the needles starting to illicit pain from your body yet again.

After the most unbelievable torturous hour of your life, Lee starts to pull the pins out of your body and asks you to turn over onto your back... You reffuse at first, but eventually give in as Lee covers you private parts with wraps and bandages while poking through your body once again, the pain returning as you try to fight the urge to yell and scream, instead quietly sobbing and hyperventilating at certain points for another half-hour until Lee pats you on the shoulder, your body so numb from the pain you can't even feel it...

>>A. Follow Lee's advice and take the next week easy, doing light training to heal your body and let your Ki flow show it's true strength (Timeskip 1 Week ahead)
No fighting for a week, I'll agree on.
On training, though - how light is 'light' training?
For example, would todays exercises constitute light, medium, heavy etc? Because I'd think we need to keep up todays pace thus far, if not gradually increase it.

For Katja, if she were to just say "Fuck it" and not train otherwise for the rest of today, it would be a "Light" day. If she were to go back to her place, finish up the last two sets of 15 on the weight bench and maybe do a little bit of jogging it would be a "Normal" day. Any harder than that and it would be a "Back-breaker" Kind of Day (For Lee Pai Long, "Light" training would be Kicking Shen Woo's ass and doing Wuxia Novel-levels of insanity with his wooden training dummy BTW)...

So... To answer your question, Katja could basically train slightly harder than today for a week, but wouldn't be able to use her Ki in any way, shape or form.

Even better. After the meet-up, could we have the option of reevaluating our training for the week's remainder?
Because while keeping training light for now is probably best, I just don't see Katja having the patience to keep it down for a week.

I don't see a problem with that. Hell, Option C is basically Katja admitting to herself that she doesn't have the patience to do something like this and wants to try and find a second oppinion that would let her keep doing what she's doing...

You stare out into space for a little bit, letting Lee's harsh words wash over you; "No training or fighting for a WEEK?" you think as you quickly get your clothes on and zip up your bike leathers and grab your helmet, slipping it on as you head down the stairs and out into the front lobby, an elderly Asian woman talking to Lee in a language you don't understand as you wait for a moment, trying to catch his eye...

As he heads into the "Secret" secondary clinic, he heads back out and asks you "What?"

"Can I get a re-evaluation and ask you what cunts as "Light Training" you slightly yell, your voice muffled by the helmet you have on.

"Sure... You want to come by tomorrow?"

"How about Thursday? I'm supposed to be out and around with some friends and I could swing by real easily" you offer, trying not waste any more of his time.

"Alright... But honestly, whatever you do now for training? Reduce that by Two Thirds and you'll be fine" Lee says as you bow in gratitude, Lee nodding at your gesture before shutting the door behind him.

Taking heed to his words, you take the rest of the day off, stopping in at the Chinese place you had gone to when you were here about a week ago and have a nice lunch before taking the dy to go out crusing on your 'bike, using the light traffic and clearing weather to explore this city that you've lived in for almost a year now, but haven't gotten a chance to see...

On your travels, you walked through a nice, leafy park and watch an elderly Chinese man lead a group of people in a session of Tai Chi, watching them practice their forms and felt the energy flow through the more skilled members glance off of your body like they were fighting you...
>>
>>30008829

After the session ended you talked with him for a little bit and found that you could've joined in at certain points, though you end up staying to do a full hour-and-a-half session with him, struggling on the more acrobatic movements due to your bike leathers but getting through it otherwise and feeling an odd sense of... Well, peace, you suppose after getting through it.

You make a note of who this guy was and find that he's meeting up here in a few days early in the morning ("IF the weather coperates", he tells you) and you head back "Home", the local time not quite 4 PM... Only to find a mob off cameras and news crews seemingly waiting for you, microphones getting shoved in front of you as you hear them talking about "The Woman that Hit Justin Beiber" and curse yourself over what had happened early this morning, wondering who could've tipped the press off?

>You Resume Direct Control of Katja Hartkern

You sigh and slowly make your way into the East Side Parking Lot, a few well-coifed news reporters asking "Ma'am, could you give comment as to WHY exactly you punched the biggest Superstar in the world in the face?" as you shut the engine off as the press core swarm around you like locusts...

You slip off your helmet and slowly run your hands through your hair, the flashbulbs snapping and looking like fireflies the size of streetlamps going off in front of you. "Shit, this must be what the REAL big fish go through every day" you think to yourself as you craft up a response.

Yes, but the question is, the new perspective doesn't matter if there is no way for us to interfere/change the course of things, if those are to reveal events that could be important to the rest of Katja's story, I doubt we will have much say in what happen in the end.

I'd rather those be told through simple narration than wasting updates on those. The game of action/consequences is seems better centered on Katja.

First off, Katja's basically staying at Robert's Pad for the next four days, as there's a media FRENZY happening outside over her "Assaulting" "Justin Beiber" (Chris from The New Faces Team "Reborn")...

However, as Yabuki points out in >>30019660, there could very well be story points that might be revealed that involve Katja, so there IS that to consider... Honestly, I think it could be a 5/50 Split of going through "Half-Days" as Katja, then breaking into narration for stuff involving Yuri, or Shermie, or any other characters that might get voted on... That sound a bit better? (IE We follow Katja on the Path Tiger outlined in >>30018127, but actually roll through each Day's Worth of training, then switch to a narration/side-story?)

As it stands, I'm open to letting this get discussed a little bi more, as it IS a fairly big step in Katja's (IE This Quest's) "Goal" of competeing (And possibly winning!) "The King of Fighters: Infinite Match".
>>30019381

I'm wondering how "Katja" became "Kafka", but that's just me...
>>
>>30019851
I'm really split too, because I don't see much challenges in that training session, this is just going to be rolling and hope the dices don't screw us over.
>>
>>30020018
>>30019851

On the other side I fear that we are going to embark in a railrolling side-quest if we just switch to what are essentially NPCs.
>>
>>30019851
.... can't niece I missed that also the half days thing is fine, in my opinion at least
>>
>>30019851
I think I found a way to make that training interesting.

Maybe this could be a time for us to "respec"/tweak/optimize Katja.
>>
>>30019851
>>30020247

Instead of a routine, we could have trials and suggestions on what kind of things we could change about her.
You set up the training with challenges/choices in it and depending on it Katja could change.

Story-wise I guess she could see this as an opportunity to further streamline herself and her technique.

>You are now in Driect Control of Katja Hartkern

You wake up and feel fairly-well rested, though you're at a loss of what to do today, the classic philosophicl rumblings of "What am I DOING with my life?" "Why are we here?" "What's going ON with myself?" rattle around your head... And for once, you pause to think and assess yourself:

"I'm Katja Hartkern. I'm not quite 30 Years old. I have talent and skill as a fighter, but I seem to be better at waiting tables and swimsuit modelling than that... And I've wasted over ten years of my life building myself up into something I'm not, trying to please people I honestly don't think I like anymore... For what? Money? Fame?"

You think it over a little more and shake your head, "It's because I want to be the baddest bitch on this earth; My home, where I come from, whre I live in now... Is hell. And what do you do to stay alive in Hell?", pausingat that rhetrorical question before replying 'You either drop your morals and standards and becomea Demon which, honestly, doesn't sound TOO bad... Or you learn to love it and strive to one day BEG to get the heat turned up even more."

You let those words sink in, your alarm going off and the sound of the local news on the radio talking about "Justin Beiber's assault arrest and the Woman that took him to justice!".

You pause at that, then quickly get up and do a few lazy stretches out of habit before heading over to the phone in the living room, calling up the head desk.

"Good morning Ms. Hartkern, how can I assist you?" The young-sounding voice asks.
>>
>>30021789

"Yeah, I was just wondering how many papparazzo and journalists are looking for me down in the lobby?"

"One moment" the voice replies, giving you time to wonder if it's the "Ginger" kid with green eyes, the Tall, Drak and (Honestly) handsome Spanish-Speaking lothario that's eyed you at times, or that one particulary timid guy that looks rather scary, but honestly seems more like a hurt puppy than anything else...

"Ah, there's around 25 people here, including a person that claims he's an entrepenuer from a Modelling Company" the voice tells you, wondering if that catalogue you did with Shermie and the others hit store-shelves already...

"Thanks... Tell them that I'm staying in for the day, i'm not grantin' interviews right now and increase security around my elevators, if you haven't already" you ask, munching on an apple to get something in your stomach.

"Very well... What time would you like to speak with them? If at all possible?"

"Hmm... I might give the modelling scout a ring, but not for a little bit" you reply and hang up on him, wating to start your day off with some exercise...

You take a gander at the clock and see that it's not quite 9 AM and idly wonder why would you care? You aren't going anywhere today, not with the press seemingly doing everything except scaling the buildng to try and talk to you...

You sigh, wondering if you've "Gotten Soft" as Takuma Sakazaki's voice pops into the back of your head... Which makes you want to punch something in it's face.

Clearly not in the right frame of mind this morning, you head out and look around for a relatively uncluttered room in this sprawling villa to try and use the time-honoured art of "Meditation"... Though honestly, you wonder why; It was NEVER a good thing when you tried it at the Dojo, though thenagain you were never truly alone with your thoughts there either.

You spot a space in the living room that could do the trick, opening the blinds and taking in the view as the sun starts to slightly go over the horizon line now, only a part of the room in an orabge glow as you sit in the lotus position, calm yourself down and quietly, wordlessly try to actually be at one with yourself.

After around 15 Minutes, you start to feel somewhat bored, as you aren't really locking anything out of earshot; Instead, you only seem to hear the little things that don't seem like much, but at the same time drive you up the wall; The slight drip of a leaky faucet, the buzz of every single electrical appliance getting on your nerves... Then you hear a Helicopter start to close in on your house.

You quickly spring up and close the blinds back up, then switch on the Television to see that very same helicopter try to deliver an "Eye-in-the-sky" update regarding your own silence on "The Swag Incident", as the mainstream media have seemed to coin what happened yesterday morning.

"Bloody 'ell, this IS big stuff" you say out loud, scarcely believing at the attention this is all getting...

You take a few breaths and turn off the TV, chuckling bitterly about all of the supposed trouble you've gotten yourself into... You briefly consider starting up your work-out, or even granting an interview or three to try and cash-in on your new-found "Fame" but put it out of your mind and sit back down, wanting to take another chance at true meditation.

You sit in the lotus position once more, taking a few slow, deep inhalations, exhaling almost as slowly and clearing your mind of all of this craziness... And actually feeling something deep inside of you, the sounds of the helicopter outside fading away as everything goes dark...

You still feel in control of your mind though, as you seem to walking down a spiraling staircase, the light slowly starting grow brighter the farther you head down, focusing on the sound of your feet hitting the stone steps as you keep descending, losing track of time itself as you will yourself to continue onwards.

Eventually, you start to see a little bit of light and start to run, the sound of your feet hitting the stones quickening as you hold out a hand to steady yourself on a wall. However, you come in front of an electrified fence, the glow from it being the slight light you had seen...

"Ha-oh... RAIJINLEN!" you hear yourself say as you blast the fence with your projectile, blasting it to pieces but also feeling the electricity harm you in turn, the pain feeling almost kind of good in a way as you open your eyes, your heart beeting faster as you clutch your arm, your ind convinced that you had actually tried to launch a projectile from your fist while meditating.

"Jeez... I gotta get this shit under control before I blue-ball meself like that again" you think out loud, slowly getting up and doing a quick stretch, seeing that you had been meditating for almost a full hour, the time not quite 10 AM as you wonder if you should grab something for brunch...

You finish up your warm-up stretches without a fuss and grab a couple of "Dumbells" with hexagon-shaped ends, around 30 Lbs total between your arms as you set down your phone and set an alarm for 15 nminutes ahead; You want to see how fast you can do your sets...

You set the alarm, grab the dumbells and start to pump with arm curls, alternating between each arm as you note that this is surprisingly easy to you; The weight almost feels like nothing in your hands as you finish up, pause, then start to do shoulder-shrugs as you breath in and out, starting to actually like working yourself through this kind of work-out for a change and get through the set of shrugs fairly quickly, starting to feel a little wear in your arms. Undeterred, you switch to one last set of Bicep Flexes, feeling the strain start to hit your arms as you breathe through the pain starting to set in...

You stop after completing the set, a sweat starting to form on your brow as your eyes widen while checking your clock: It only took you 20 Minutes to go through your entire routine!

You smile at that and take a well-earned breath, wondering if you could maybe take a few laps to cool down before your food arrives... Then smell yourself and think that maybe you should shower first.

You grab your cellphone and turn your alarm off, putting it in one of your pockets as you get up, do a few arm stretches and wordlessly walk up to your room, stripping off your clothes and stepping into a nice, hot shower, letting the water wash you off and heal your slightly-tender arms.

After a little bit, you walk out and dry yourself off, putting on a fresh set of clothes and choosing to go Braless, as the only ones you own need to get washed; You compensate by putting on a couple of thick layers and the only skirt you own over a pair of Black Tights and the last pair of clean panties you could find.

You hear the elevator that leads up to your front room "Ding!" just as your slipping on your skirt, what sounds like the Ginger-Haired kid ask "Ms. Hartkern? Your food's ready."

"Be out in a second!" you yell, oping he can hear you as you walk out, seeing that it's him and that his uniform's slightly disheveled.

"Shit mate, did they try to trample you or what?" you try to joke, feeling sorry for him a little as he wheels the food into your kitchen.

"Yeah, almost..." he quietly admits as you tip him $20, telling him "you earned it out there" as you start to serve yourself some food and eat, taking your time and making sure you don't get another incident like you had at Lee Pai Long's later...

After about half an hour, you finish your meal and let out a breath, you stomach a little too full as you ponder if you should break you media silence, feeling bad for that kid that might've risked bodily harm to get you food youcould've gotten yourself...

You wipe some extra syrup off your face with a paper towel and grab your cellphone, calling up Robert Garcia and hoping you can get a chance to talk with him and maybe get his side to the drama that's taken hold of the Kyokugen Dojo, among other things...

After a long dial tone, you hear him pick up and ask "Hey... Been a little bit huh Superstar?"

"Hey Slick... And yeah, I haven't had a chance to talk in like forever or somethin'."

"Yeah, I hear you... So, what's it like to get more publicity in 24 Hours than I've had in three years?" Robert jokingly asks, watching a news crawl from a TV Set hung above the wall of the dinig room he's currently at with his "Bodyguard" Karman Cole.

"It's... Something, I guess; I haven't really done any interviews yet and it seems like I might've hit a guy with my helmet on accident."

"Really? I would've taken the chance to set the record straight, get my name out there and set something up if I got REALLY popular" Robert tells you, taking a sip of a glass of water before asking "How have you been holding up?"

"Eh, physically and Ki-Wise I could be better; Doctor's got me on a "No Fighting, No Ki" regiment and strict light exercise for a week to try and get my Ki to "Flow Properly"... And I'm mighty pissed off at Takuma and the Dojo" you admit, a rage seething through your words when thinking about what Yuri told you...

Robert pauses, then says "It's fucked up, I tell ya'; I keep trying to explain to the old man that he can't turn away people like yourself, be open to anybody like you claim that you are but he never listens..."

"Yeah... I'm almost tempted to challenge him the day after my observation period's over" you reply, pausing a little bit before adding "It's still cool for me to stay here, right?"

"Of course! You aren't dealing with the others; I'M the one who let you stay when you needed a place to go and you'll stay there until after the tournament officially ends" Robert explains as you take a sigh of relief.

"Good... Thanks for that, but I need a place to stay AFTER the tournament ends; You know any good, honest realators in this city?" You ask, hoping that Robert might be firends with a guy that could set you up in a fairly modern, but nice house soewhere...

"Hmm... I know a guy, but he's not around all of the time; I'll check in on him for ya" Robert replies, an awkward pause filling the air as he says "Hey, Kat?"

"Yeah?"

"... I just want to say that you're a pretty coll girl to have as a friend and that someday soon, you'll realize that you don't need to do anything to change who you are"

"That's really sweet Rob... Thanks" you quietly reply, your voice in awe of his words as you add "Well, I won't keep you; Tell Yuri I said "Hi!" yeah?"

"Gotcha... I'll see you around I guess" Robert replies as you hang up on him, wondering if you should've kept talking to him....

You shrug, take a sigh and head down to the gym once again, stripping down to your enderwear and the short-sleeved T-Shirt you had on as you stare down the Pull-up Bar, confident that you'll be able to get through at least one set of 20 Pull-ups...

You take a breath, grab onto the bar and propel yourself updward, your chin resting on it for a brief moment as you slowly let yourself down, then lift back up 19 more times, each one feeling slightly harder than the last and your stomach cramping up on you as finish.

You quickly grab your clothes and head back upstairs, making a "Bee-Line" to the bathroom and relieving yourself, flopping on the couch out in the living room after you're done...

>(Pause/End Updates)

OK, first off thanks to all that were able to join in on this rather fractured session today/night.

However, my personal plans for tomorrow are up in the air at this moment in time; I might have to head out early and be out and around all day or I might just stay home... Either way, I'll post status updates Via my Twitter Page (https://twitter.com/WeaselThat) and in /tg/'s Quest General if it's around when I wake up to inform any of Y'all out there what my status is.

Basically, if I have to go out in the morning and be out all day, this thread will be considered closed and a new Round will start the day after Tomorrow (2/7/14) at 9 AM PST, Nonn EST. If I don't, updates will continue at the "new" regular time of 9 AM PST, Noon EST.

Regardless, G'night! I hope to see y'all soon!

P.S.: Katja's Stat Gains/Losses wll be posted either in this thread or the next one, depending on how my day goes.

Yeah...

Also, I'm sad to announce that due to circumstances beyond my control, I won't have time to continue this today. However, I DO have time for a Q&A session before I have to leave my house and get going... Any takers?
