"Don't worry, I know better than to directly provoke her like that," Luciana replies. "Both of us take after our fathers, and hers happens to be Sir Vincent... if I press my luck, I might end up beaten senseless," she sighs.

"Don't worry, I'm not about to make things any harder for myself than they already are... and I don't want to mess this up," she replies as she starts to blush again.

Even though you might not like her like "that," Sylvie's still your friend... hell, they're ALL your friends, and you'd like for everyone to still be able to get along.

"Guess I ought to head out," you say. "Goodnight, Luciana. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Goodnight, Reinhold," Luciana replies.

And then she gives you a quick kiss on the lips.

Quickly wiping the goofy grin off your face, you then leave the Princess's bedroom and head out into the hallway, closing the door behind you.

So a shot in the fucking dark here but Benedetta is Spinelle. I really don’t have much to go on but it’s a gut feeling. Reinhold was reserved for Spinelle’s personal use, this implies a very wealthy or powerful person. Spinelle seems to have never attempted to take Reinhold away from the whorehouse why not just buy/keep him. Also why this guy in the middle of bumfuck nowhere fishing village. The situation had to be kept secret, a scandal would occur if news of it got around.

Now imagine this you’re the second daughter of a king. The succession is secure you’re just extra, you don’t really have a purpose. You’re dad Celestnio (father of the year) is doing his dyansty building wants to marry you off. So you end up married to some noble with no say in the matter or consideration for your happiness, you were sold like a piece of cattle, thanks dad. You feel completely powerless. Your husband is a noble from aquaman’s country right near the border. It’s close enough that you can visit/travel. Your heart hardens over the years in an loveless marriage. Eventually you see this kid while traveling. He reminds you of the boys you liked when you were younger when you still believed in love. He reminds you of a time when you were still happy the time before. You slowly learn about him and learn his situation and realize you can have him. The thought makes you feel powerful it makes you feel good. And slowly you give in and arrange it he’s yours. When you’re with him you are not powerless, you are powerful you are in control even for just a little while.

I missed the last thread but after reading it I realized something. King Celestino has three options at this point.
>Call off any wedding plans
>Go through with Monique
>Offer Luciana to Reinhold and make them stay in Marconetti
>Offer Luciana to Reinhold and let them go back to Granache

Remember towards the beginning of the quest there was that Marconetti spy. Despite being allies the two countries still need to know about what is going on in each other’s countries for security reasons. If the king could get someone loyal to him close to the Granache royal family he wouldn’t need to send spies. Who is closer than their personal body guard? By having Luciana marry Reinhold and move to Granache he accomplishes three things.
>Puts someone he can trust in the castle
>Gets his favorite kid away from all the assassins that are hanging around Marconetti
>If Reinhold does become an epic tear fighter he will be able to exert influence on him through Luciana

King Celestino never planned on marrying Luciana to Monique. He knew that she would be upset about the news and go to her closes friends comfort. He knew they would want to help her by talking him out of it. After letting Thierri talk him out of the engagement to Monique he will offer her to Reinhold. The first thing that Reinhold is going to think is “If I don’t say yes she is going to have to marry Monique”

As you walk down the hall, you consider just heading to your own suite and passing out in your bed. It's been an EVENTFUL day and you would certainly like some rest... but it wouldn't be right to leave the others hanging like that if they're still waiting for you to get back.

And you'd also like to avoid having any of them get the wrong idea about what you were doing in Luciana's room. You'd REALLY like to avoid any misunderstandings in that area.

With that feeling of slight paranoia still in you, you pull a handkerchief out of your pocket and wipe off your face. While Luciana doesn't wear lipstick, it definitely wouldn't hurt to be cautious.

Once you're absolutely sure that your face is free of any foreign articles, you stuff the handkerchief back in your pocket and open the door of Nicolette's suite...

...and she's the only one in there, sitting on the couch.

"Oh... hey, Reinhold," Nicolette says, waving hello. "You took so long getting back so everyone else headed back to their rooms... Melanie walked Sylvie back, and Rana took care of Marianne."
