>Recap

The party continued, and you talked with Android 18 about her plans for the future. She left to talk to her brother and you spoke to Doctor Briefs, requesting that he repair the armor that 18 damaged during your sparring match. He agreed, and you decided to find some replacement clothes in the meantime. You travelled to the island of Master Roshi, and were greeted at his door by a young bald man. Master Roshi pretended not to be home, and the bald man tried to cover for him. Eventually, you simply travelled into the house using Instant Transmission, and found Roshi, who agreed to give you a gi to wear. With your new outfit, you returned to the party, which was beginning to wind down. You took Huhn-tresh home, and have been speaking with her a bit before you leave.
>>
"Nappa in charge of a planet...one where he has no idea of the customs or culture, and where one of my closest friends lives...nope. Not happening. EVER." you say with your thousand light-year stare.

Huhn-tresh smirks "Of course not, he's no match for me. And I am glad you consider me one of your closest friends, you honor me."

“So I'll be back in the next couple of days, either with some healing tanks or with word on when you can expect them. But when I come back, I'd also like to teach you how to move with a thought like I do. It's a useful technique on its own, and from there moving across the galaxy is a bit more involved, but still possible.”

“You could come and visit any time you wanted to train with us, or if you just wanted the company, and most importantly you could tell me if you ever find yourself facing something you might not be able to handle. Because the galaxy will be stronger if we work together: like your village on a massive scale.”

So I think as long as someone remembers that plan when we go back, it should be good. Probably a good idea to teach Huhn-Tresh and whoever Guru's new bitch is how to IT and have Porunga give them the same ki sensing skills we have. Finally create a long-term, permanent, high speed connection between those planets and Earth.

Give the other two wishes to the Namekians as a goodwill sort of thing, which should convince them to let us use the balls: since we're being generous even on top of offering to come to their aid if they need it.

Your instincts told you that, rather going with the solution that seemed incredibly simple and likely to work, you should instead go with the extremely time consuming and risky strategy of doing absolutely nothing other than training while he terrorized the planet? I wouldn't say thats a passive aggressive response. Its a valid one. Just cus we found out that it was possible later doesn't mean that we knew then that the remote would even work on 16, and we barely got out of there anyway. Our priority was rescuing 18, not destroying 16 who we didnt even know was that much of a threat until we were face to face with her

And if I'd gone back and tried to use the remote sooner, 16 could have swiped it from me, just the same as 17 and 18 swiped the remote from Gero. Again, I end up dead."

You give a long pause, letting it sink in for her that she just blamed you for the deaths of two of your children. She does grow a somewhat regretful expression at the realization, but her anger seems to drown it out.

"..I'm sorry" you tell her. I don't even know what to say anymore. The one thing that mattered to me, and I've fucked that up too, haven't I?"

She sighs. "A long time ago, you told me you didn't think you were ready to be leader. Back then, you were impulsive, stupid, arrogant, and reckless. I stepped down and let you take over as leader, because you were powerful, and had a lot of potential. Part of me was afraid of putting you in charge, and lately it's looking like I was right to be afraid." She looks you in the eyes. tbh, i don't know why she is blaming us for not using the remote earlier... i don't remember a discussion between us about using the detonator instead of fighting him. I remember us training up, and then someone telling us to use the detonator... and then we did use the detonator.

Fita only knew there was a remote that could blow up 17. 17 eventually figured that probably meant it could detonate bombs identical to the one he had. You literally read the mind of the scientist, and his thoughts told you the remotes could destroy the androids, plural.
>>
>>29881842
See >>29881875

There was no discussion, because we searched the scientist's mind for 17's remote in particular. We had no idea that the remote we knew the location of would even work, and no other character brought it up. And while we were unconscious, not only did SOM have some of our kids run off and get killed, but he didn't have any NPCs even try to act.

"After the way, I've let you all down, I'm surprised you still want anything to do with me" you tell her. "I love you Salta, I couldn't raise a finger to stop you, even if I wanted to. I don't care who the leader is, because I'm not a leader. I haven't been a leader for a long time. I'm a father, and I'm your husband, and I only care about earning your trust again, and being deserving of that trust. I hope you'll give me that chance."

NO one thought about using the detonator until 17 did, not I, not even you.
At no point in time have I ever stopped trying to save our children, have I ever stopped trying to save EVERYONE. And what you call 'being stupid'? Whether I think of something or not is not a DECISION made by my free will... if I could have willed such an idea into existance I would have chosen to do so. Instead look at what I DID use my free will for... I chose to never stop doing what I knew I could do. I chose to never stop training, to never stop trying, to never stop working to make things better... whether my work was most optimal or not I did my best within my willful power.
Instead of putting blame on me, you should think about what I had free will to do. Instead of getting angry and blaming people, you should instead thank 17 for being smart.

>I'm sorry to hear that, anon. I thought giving more time for voting would help, but the same trend is happening even with more time

That's because the problem isn't the time, its the quest system.

And also the fact that there's nothing so rewarding about the quest that more than a few people would give it any thought. But that one thing with 18 was fun.

You decide its time to take Kami up on his offer of psychic training. Focusing on the Lookout, you use your Instant Transmission to get there in, well, an instant. You see Popo meditating in front of the entrance, and sense Kami inside.

>>29882991
It is also likely that because she is not alright she will screw up as the leader. She isn't thinking straight. If magically everything goes alright for her then I call B.S.

She walks up to the group and tells them she's the leader they're going to look at her and ask why.

If she's in this state she's going to lash out again and again until someone helps.

That's three reasons off the top of my head that she logically shouldn't last. SOM can't make it so that she keeps it but she shouldn't.

For now that's not our problem. We still have a psychic power to develop.

1. She needs to find her focus(logical thinkin),

She's probably still dealing with a lot of guilt, anger, frustration, all that shit from her children dying herself being powerless to stop or prevent it. Totally understandable for her to flip out. Best thing for us to do when she does is keep our mouth shut and dip out for a bit, go on an adventure. She'll eventually regret it and apologize.

no, fuck that
we're going back
she won't apologize because she has nothing to apologize for

I'm saying if it still happens, dude.

“You know, Salta, I've been asking myself what else could have been done. And I have an answer: I stopped asking the question. It doesn't help anyone to blame myself, or to blame others, or to wish things had been different. None of that helps us move on from here.”

“When I found out about that remote, I was looking for information on 17's remote. I had no idea 16 was active, or whether he had a bomb, or whether the remotes would work on all of them. So I didn't consider that it was a remote for all of them, and instead focused on what I thought I COULD do. And even if I HAD realized it at the time, I'd have had to get stronger before I could use it anyway. Getting my ass handed to me by 17 and 18 a few times, and remembering how they snatched their own remote away from Gero taught me that much: and 16 was a monster, even compared to their strengths, so I knew regardless of how we did it we'd only have one shot.”

“Same goes for what happened to Bardock and Erica. I know that must have hurt you badly, at least as badly as it did when I found out. But even if I blamed myself at first, I don't blame anyone anymore. Sometimes terrible things happen despite our best intentions, and our only choice is to stand strong and set things right however we can, or to let it break us.”

“We all chose to stand strong, and we DID set things right. And I'm proud of us all because of it.”

Sure, let's just have a repeat of our spineless performance like what happened this time.
Brilliant idea.

This could work

You know, pre-empting Salta with something like this just might work.

Great anon, we should definitely use that dialogue if we get a repeat.

Ten to six in favor of starting it over, looks like we should get to use it.
